Gov. Gavin Newsom’s, D-Calif., proposal to restrict gun rights through a 28th amendment to the U.S. Constitution has failed to gain national traction since it was unveiled one year ago.
Despite the Democratic governor’s enthusiasm in 2023, exactly zero states have agreed to his call for the constitutional convention necessary to amend the U.S. Constitution.
Newsom claimed Sunday that this lack of progress was expected and the amendment could take decades to gain momentum.
United Kingdom Enacts ‘Emergency Ban’ on Puberty Blockers for Minors
On Wednesday, the government of the United Kingdom declared a new “emergency ban” on the prescription and distribution of puberty blockers for underaged children, in yet another defeat for the transgenderism movement.
As the Daily Caller reports, the latest announcement follows previous decisions by England and Scotland in March and April, respectively, to halt the use of puberty blockers for minors under the age of 18, as the long-term physical and mental effects of such treatments are still not yet fully understood.
The new regulation will be enacted over a three-month period from June 3rd to September 3rd, during which private prescribers in England, Scotland, and Wales, plus “prescribers registered in the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland,” will be forbidden from offering puberty blockers as a treatment for gender dysphoria. The ban will also prevent providers from participating in the “sale or supply” of such treatments.
“During this period no new patients under 18 will be prescribed these medicines for the purposes of puberty suppression in those experiencing gender dysphoria/incongruence under the care of these prescribers,” the government announcement reads. “In addition, the government has also introduced indefinite restrictions to the prescribing of these medicines within [National Health Service] primary care in England, in line with NHS guidelines.”
The drugs affected by this ban include “gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues – medicines that consist of, or contain, buserelin, gonadorelin, goserelin, leuprorelin acetate, nafarelin, or triptorelin.” Patients over the age of 18 will still be allowed to access such drugs. Also, minors who have already been on such medication for 6 months or more prior to June 3rd will be permitted to continue getting prescriptions for puberty blockers.
In recent months, the U.K. has cracked down on the promotion and use of puberty blockers, gender mutilation surgery, and other procedures championed by the transgender movement, which falsely believes that there are more than two genders and that anyone can simply change their gender at any given time.
A major milestone in the fight against transgenderism was the release of the Cass Review, a comprehensive report by pediatric consultant Dr. Hillary Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health. In her report, Dr. Cass concluded that there was “weak evidence” behind the theory that puberty blockers were a beneficial treatment for minors, and that the research claiming that such treatments are largely harmless was “insufficient” and “inconsistent.”
In what appears to be more of a gesture than a substantive act, the GOP-majority House passed a bill that would effectively end the government’s plans to create a centralized banking digital currency (CBDC). The bill passed 216-192, with only 3 Democrats voting for it while 18 Democrats and 4 Republicans did not register votes.
Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) introduced the legislation, saying of its passage in a press release, “For more than two years, we have worked to educate, grow support, and pass this important legislation, which prevents unelected bureaucrats from issuing a financial surveillance tool to fundamentally undermine our American values. My legislation ensures that the United States’ digital currency policy remains in the hands of the American people so that any development of digital money reflects our values of privacy, individual sovereignty, and free market competitiveness.”
The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) Anti-Surveillance State Act, introduced by Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) on May 23, 2024. The legislation was approved by 216-192 votes to prevent the Federal Reserve from directly offering CBDC to individuals and using it to implement monetary policy.
The bill, which had the backing of all Republican representatives and three Democrats—Mary Peltola of Alaska, Marie Perez of Washington, and Jared Golden of Maine—marks a pivotal moment in the ongoing debate over digital currency and financial privacy in the United States.
Vivek Ramaswamy is looking to have an immediate impact on the company he recently invested in, Buzzfeed. He sent them a letter after buying an 8.4 percent stake in the company, urging the company to write an apology for their past journalistic “mistakes,” take a “major shift” in their strategies, and downsize to start-up size.
Vivek Ramaswamy demanded a “major shift” at media outlet BuzzFeed after buying a stake in the company, according to a report.
Ramaswamy sent a letter to the outlet after buying an 8.4% stake, demanding it apologize for mistakes in its coverage and asking that it hire prominent conservative commentators to “challenge” its audience, according to the Guardian.
Ramaswamy reportedly drafted an apology for the outlet to issue saying sorry for “past journalistic mistakes” after the tech entrepreneur bought his stake in the company.
Ramaswamy, who ran for the Republican nomination for president in 2024, suggested the company hire conservative commentators, including Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, plus other outspoken political pundits such as Bill Maher, Aaron Rodgers, and Charles Barkley.
The Washington Examiner reached out to a representative of Ramaswamy for comment.
Jonah Peretti, BuzzFeed’s co-founder and CEO, responded to the letter and said, “I’m very skeptical it makes business sense to turn BuzzFeed into a creator platform for inflammatory political pundits. … And we’re definitely not going to issue an apology for our Pulitzer prize-winning journalism.”
BuzzFeed has been struggling since going public in 2021 and shuttering its news division last year, according to the report. BuzzFeed is notable for publishing 35 pages of the unverified Steele dossier in 2017.
Governor Ron DeSantis’ efforts to allow parents greater choice in where their children go to school has led to the proliferation of independent private schools and homeschooling, leaving public schools without students to justify staying open. The DNC-MSM have been lamenting the results, but DeSantis had a different take.
He said, “Now, as to that statement about ‘…some of Florida’s largest school districts are facing staggering enrollment declines,’ I can only reply, ‘Yes, and?’ To those school districts, and to the public school absolutists who are clutching their pearls and complaining about the likely closures, I would say: If the public schools were doing a better job, parents wouldn’t be choosing to enroll their kids elsewhere… If they can’t compete, they should be closed, as their customers, namely, parents, seem to have lost faith in those schools.”
Down in Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis just keeps showing us how it’s done. In the latest, we see the success of Florida’s school choice programs, which represent a step towards a great goal — getting government, at all levels, out of education.
Gov. Ron DeSantis and Florida Republicans have spent years aggressively turning the state into a haven for school choice. They have been wildly successful, with tens of thousands more children enrolling in private or charter schools or homeschooling.
Now as those programs balloon, some of Florida’s largest school districts are facing staggering enrollment declines — and grappling with the possibility of campus closures — as dollars follow the increasing number of parents opting out of traditional public schools.
In a further effort to undermine law and order and cultivate more violence and chaos, the DNC-CCP-controlled Illinois legislature has just sent a bill to far-left anti-Americanist billionaire Governor Pritzker that will change the name of “offender” in government documents to “justice impacted individual.”
The phraseology cultivates the lie that there are no such things as criminals because people only do crimes when they are oppressed by the white devil. Republican State Senator Steve McClure of Springfield said of the bill “Change this, change that, the only thing you don’t want to change is the behavior of criminals, guess who is paying for that right now? Victims all across the state. I urge a no vote.”
CHICAGO — State lawmakers have passed a bill that, if signed into law by Governor JB Pritzker, will change the term “offender” in state law to “justice impacted individual.”
The proposed change blew up on social media, with some people mistakenly thinking that people who commit crimes would get a rebranding. Instead, it would only apply to participants in one program meant to rehabilitate people and keep them out of prison.
The specific proposed law, House Bill 4409, would remove the term “offender” and replace it with “justice impacted individual” for men and women in the state’s “Adult Redeploy Illinois” program, commonly referred to as A.R.I.
The far-left anti-American radical DA of Portland Oregon, Mike Schmidt, lost his primary race today to fellow Democrat Nathan Vasquez, who ran under a “get tough on crime” platform in direct opposition to the crime-enabling policies of Schmidt.
Germany’s Parliament has voted to reduce the possession of child pornography from a felony to a misdemeanor. The bill states “possession and acquisition should be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment. The offenses regulated in Section 184b of the Criminal Code are therefore classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.”
The bill’s proponents claim its purpose is to protect parents and teachers of children who download such material for the purpose of sharing it with law enforcement, but the need to decriminalize child porn possession was never needed since all that was needed was an amendment to the law that took such circumstances under consideration.
Germany’s Parliament (Bundestag) has received the votes necessary to remove a section of the Criminal Code which made the possession of child sexual abuse materials a felony crime. Once the bill, passed last Thursday, comes into effect, minimum sentences for the possession of child pornography will be reduced, and the offense will be downgraded to a misdemeanor.
According to the Bundestag, the bill stipulates that “possession and acquisition should be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months’ imprisonment. The offenses regulated in Section 184b of the Criminal Code are therefore classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.”
The rationale behind the downgrading of the crime to a misdemeanor included consideration for parents and teachers of children who download the content in order to inform law enforcement. “Such cases have occurred particularly frequently among parents and teachers of older children or young people who found child pornography on them and passed it on to other parents, teachers or the school management to inform them of the problem,” reads Article 1 of the bill.
The Biden administration is threatening to sue yet another Republican-led state over its efforts to crack down on illegal immigration — after suing two other states over their respective anti-illegal immigration bills.
The Department of Justice has written to Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt and Attorney General Gentner Drummond about HB 4156 — legislation that makes it a state crime to be in the state illegally and gives local law enforcement the ability to arrest illegal immigrants, and require them to leave the state within 72 hours following conviction or release from custody.
The law was signed by Stitt this month and is due to go into force on July 1. It is similar to laws passed and signed into law in Iowa and Texas — and those laws have subsequently both been hit by lawsuits from the DOJ, which argues that it infringes on federal authority over immigration law and enforcement. The Texas law is currently on hold amid the ongoing lawsuit there.
(The Center Square) – The California Senate passed a bill requiring social media age verification that experts warn threatens anonymity and free speech online for all Americans.
SB 976 would ban social media notifications to minors during school hours and between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM without parental consent, require chronological, not algorithmic social media feed presented to minors without parental consent, and only allow these features if a social media company has “reasonably determined” the user is not a minor. The bill empowers the California Attorney General to define what is considered “reasonable” by January 1, 2027, which has many concerned this would mean tying highly private information such as government identification to social media use.
“The fact is there isn’t a reliable method of verifying age and identity without collecting users’ personal information such as government IDs, birthdates, and other information,” warned a coalition of business organizations and technology companies, including the California Chamber of Commerce and Technet, in opposition. “This is even more difficult when trying to verify minors, who often don’t have identification.”
Kansas City Chiefs’ Kicker Harrison Butker went viral after delivering a graduation speech to a private Catholic University that calls out anti-family, anti-heteronormative woke culture and calls on women to choose Motherhood over a corporate career. While the NFL condemned the speech, others have rallied in support of the kicker, including making his jersey the number one selling jersey in the NFL.
The MSM has been busy mischaracterizing his speech and pretending that it is the social norm to be outraged that some believe a woman’s best future might be, on average, being a Mom, not a CEO. One response from a tone-deaf anti-Americanist leftist, Gayle King, was to insist a man should lose his millionaire job for daring to say women should be mothers. She screeched, “I think everybody has the right to be wrong or hold opinions that others feel are wrong, but he has a right to say what he believes. But it is — it is — was very antiquated thinking, I think, in 2024. But a lot of people — a lot of people feel the way he does. The fact that he got a standing ovation, I think, says a lot.”
On Friday, CBS finally joined the virulently anti-family liberal media’s rhetorical lynch mob fighting to convict Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker in the court of public opinion with a discussion during CBS Mornings and, while ABC moved on, NBC’s Today upped the intensity of its disgusting and hypocritical venom toward a speech about the importance of the family.
In other words, Butker stood up for something the three co-hosts on Today have personally and repeatedly discussed is paramount to their lives. Instead of scorning him, they could have mentioned the numerous charities Butker has supported, include Foster’s Outriders charity (which our Craig Bannister explained here).
CBS roped Butker into their “Talk of the Table” segment with fill-in featured co-host Nancy Chen claiming Butker “seemed to dismiss women with career goals.”
Oof. We’re already off to a bad start. Butker said, in fact, nothing of the sort of instead argued many of the female graduates would come to see motherhood and marriage as their greatest accomplishment.
Co-host and Democratic donor Gayle King and co-host Nate Burleson went first, opining Butker shouldn’t lose his job.
The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Kansas City–Saint Joseph has issued a statement voicing support for Kansas City Chief’s kicker Harrison Butker and his “right to share his faith and express his opinions.”
Since his commencement speech, Butker has seen his words get distorted in the media and has faced enraged calls for his dismissal from the team. The NFL put out a statement distancing itself from player, and espousing a “commitment to inclusion.”
The official X account of the city of Kansas City even went so far as to partially doxx Butker, prompting Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey to launch an investigation into the Mayor’s office.
In a statement to the Catholic News Agency (CNA) Thursday, Bishop James V. Johnston defended the devout KC kicker.
“Harrison Butker’s passion for his Catholic faith and his family are beautiful and well known,” Johnston said. “And like most people, he also has strong opinions on where we are as a Church and as a nation.”
Johnston continued: “The Catholic Church believes that God calls everyone to pursue holiness no matter what path they take. As St. Paul notes, that diversity of callings and vocations is essential to the life and mission of the Church.”
Transgender Runner Beats High School Girls to Win State Title … Then the Crowd Turns on Him
… At a women’s state championship on Saturday in Eugene, Oregon, the audience clearly felt the injustice of a male runner winning a race specifically meant for women.
Aayden Gallagher, a transgender athlete, won the Girls’ 6A 200-meter state championship on Saturday, but the audience wasn’t happy with the result, booing and jeering as he crossed the finish line, according to Fox News.
Gallagher, a sophomore, crossed the finish line first with a time of 24.29 seconds, two-tenths of a second ahead of the runner-up.
The booing continued as Gallagher was presented with the state title on the podium at the meet held at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field in Eugene.
If someone “wins” a sports competition because they have an unfair advantage, that is cheating. So rather than cheers, booing any title holder who is a fraud would be more appropriate.
A male high school senior was booed after he was named the Oregon Girls’ 6A 200-meter state champion because that is what he deserved.
Aayden Gallagher, of McDaniel High School, won the state title by two-tenths of a second. Gallagher was also booed while crossing the finish line of the race.
Gallagher also had the best time of the preliminary heats in the event.
The sophomore also ran the fastest 400-meter prelim, but lost the final of the 400-meter by 0.15 of a second.
YouTube has decided to comply to the CCP’s demands to assure a viral video showing Hong Kong Freedom Activists singing a patriotic song “Glory to Hong Kong” is blocked from their platform.
While YouTube complied with the CCP’s demands, it offered a mild protest, stating “We are disappointed by the Court’s decision but are complying with its removal order. We’ll continue to consider our options for an appeal, to promote access to information.”

Alphabet’s YouTube on Tuesday said it would comply with a court decision and block access inside Hong Kong to 32 video links deemed prohibited content, in what critics say is a blow to freedoms in the financial hub amid a security clampdown.
The action follows a government application granted by Hong Kong’s Court of Appeal requesting the ban of a protest anthem called “Glory to Hong Kong.” The judges warned that dissidents seeking to incite secession could weaponize the song for use against the state.
Anti-American seditionist college professors are planning on refusing to issue final grades for students, preventing thousands from being able to graduate and seek gainful employment. Their motivation behind this is to force their colleges, most of them publicly funded, to support the genocidal death cult Hamas in its efforts to purge Israel of the Jews.
Jean Marshall, a 74-year-old woman who protested outside an unborn child murder center in Washington, D.C., was sentenced to more than 15 months in prison…
Joe Biden’s DOJ/FBI is hunting down pro-life conservatives while ignoring Antifa and BLM militants and the radical Hamas supporters shutting down and terrorizing college campuses.
Under Biden, the DOJ weaponized the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, a 1994 law that prohibits interfering with anyone obtaining or providing “reproductive health services,” as a punishment for the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade in June 2022.
After the Supreme Court ruling, Biden formed the DOJ-led Reproductive Rights Task Force to enforce the act.
According to The Epoch Times, The FACE Act has now been used 130 times against pro-life individuals but only used three times against pro-abortion protesters.
(Campaign Life Coalition) — I’m delighted to announce the second annual National “Pride” Flag Walk-Out Day on June 3rd!
More about that in a moment, but first, I want to share some relevant background…
In 2023, on the heels of a budding parental rebellion against school board indoctrination of children with LGBT propaganda, we launched the first ever National “Pride” Flag Walkout Day to coincide with the first day of June.
Our strategy was to cause classrooms across Canada to be noticeably emptier on the day that most school boards begin a month-long transgender and homosexual indoctrination campaign.
We hoped that would send a strong message to teachers, principals and elected trustees that parents are fed-up with radical sexual programming being forced on their kids.
Schools in England will be told by the government not to teach children about progressive theories on so-called “gender identity” and sex education in general to children under the age of nine.
Fresh guidance from the government will inform schools that they should not teach children that they can change their gender identity and that if asked, should only provide children with “biological” information about sex. Schools will also be required to inform children that they cannot legally change their gender until after they are 18. Meanwhile, teachers will be told that they should refrain from engaging in “explicit” conversations about sex until the age of 13, The Times reports.
The guidance, which will be published on Thursday, will also say that teachers should, if asked about the topic, inform children that “gender ideology” is contested, according to the BBC.
Liz Carr is an actress, comedian and disability rights activist produced a documentary titled; Better off Dead? that was aired on May 14 by BBC1.
Carr who is best known for her role as Clarissa Mullery on the BBC series Silent Witness, interviewed Ellen Wiebe, a Vancouver doctor who has committed some of Canada’s most controversial euthanasia deaths.
Elmira Tanatarova reported for the Daily Mail on May 15 that many of the viewers of the Better off Dead? documentary were uneasy with Wiebe as she giggled when discussing the number of her euthanasia deaths. Tanatarova reports:
A Canadian doctor who has personally euthanised more than 400 people has left viewers feeling ‘uneasy’ as she ‘giggled’ while discussing the solemn topic with a disability rights campaigner in a new BBC documentary.
Speaking to Liz Carr’s programme, Better Off Dead?, Dr Ellen Wiebe, who works with Dying With Dignity, had audiences feeling uncomfortable as she laughed and smiled while discussing assisted death.
‘I love my job,’ she said in the show, which aired on Tuesday night. ‘I’ve always loved being a doctor and I delivered over a 1000 babies and I took care of families but this is the very best work I’ve ever done in the last seven years.
Claiming to be born in the wrong body is logically equivalent to claiming to be born with the wrong ears, toes, and hair. That’s not how reality works and some countries understand that better than others.
Out of all the places in the world, who would have thought that Peru would lead the world back to sanity?
The Peruvian government had declared that the gender-bender crowd is, in fact, mentally ill. They claim this clarification was made so that they can get the mental help they need and are guaranteed the proper care. And so far, I don’t see what the problem is but the left will of course scream about a nonexistent trans genocide and yell platitudes like, “Trans people exist.”
One of the biggest problems with the left’s argument regarding systemic racism is that it doesn’t exist. This is why they have to manufacture it themselves.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced that the state will block businesses owned by white men from $2.3 billion in contracts to renovate JFK International Airport, as the bidding process is reserved exclusively for non-White or women-owned businesses.
“New York remains committed to providing travelers with a premier experience that includes world-class amenities and record involvement by local minority- and women-owned businesses will ensure just that,” Governor Hochul said in a press release. “This transformative project uplifts these businesses and deepens investments in the community while bolstering the state workforce.”
Since the pro-life Dobbs decision in 2022, which overturned the 50-year reign of Roe v. Wade, the debate on the life issue has only intensified. A new layer of the onion was revealed in late February, when Alabama lawmakers wrestled with the topic of in vitro fertilization (IVF) and whether frozen embryos were considered unborn children.
The Alabama Supreme Court ultimately ruled “that anyone who destroys a frozen embryo may be held liable under the state’s Wrongful Death of a Minor Act — a law that has historically applied to born and unborn children.” Such a decision was not free from backlash, and months later, both Democrats and Republicans continue to hash out their views on the matter. However, a recent Pew Research poll revealed some interesting insight to where both parties stand.
Roger Ver has quietly moved on from his role as the CEO of Bitcoin.com to executive chairman of the company, as it is “increasing output and pace of progress,” Ver told The Block.
The famed cryptocurrency investor did not specify the output and progress his company is pursuing. However, Ver announced last year that bitcoin.com, a wallet provider, was planning to buy or develop its own exchange. On Bitcoin.com’s website, it is stated that the exchange will launch in 30 days.
The University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill revealed on Monday, May 13, plans to divert $2.3 million of funding originally designated to pay for DEI officers and programs. Instead, the funding will be used to beef up their campus police presence.
The move comes after Hamas supporters terrorized the university after the Gaza War broke out. This is the same school where fraternity brothers went viral for protecting an American flag from Hamas activists.
On Monday, the board of trustees at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Chapel Hill voted to completely abolish the school’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, and will redirect the remaining funds towards the campus police and other public safety measures.
According to Fox News, the decision by the board was unanimous. The reallocated funding is at least $2.3 million, compared to the university’s overall budget of $4 billion.
The growing list of Pro-Life activists behind bars under the direct action of President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) now includes 30-year-old Lauren Handy, who was arrested after peacefully protesting in front of an unborn child murder center. She is a member of Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising.
U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly sentenced a pro-life activist on Tuesday to 57 months in prison and three years supervision for her participation in a peaceful pro-life protest at one the capital city’s most controversial abortion facilities.
Lauren Handy, 30, was one of several members of the Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising (PAAU), a primarily leftist organization with a pro-life streak, who initiated a “rescue and protest” at late-term abortionist Cesare Santangelo’s Washington, D.C., facility in October 2020.
“Some simply kneeled and prayed at Santangelo’s facility, some passed out pro-life literature and counseled abortion-minded women, and others roped and chained themselves together inside the facility,” Handy’s lawyers at the Thomas More Society noted.
Handy, PAAU’s director of Activism and Mutual Aid, decided to protest at Santangelo’s facility in particular after she heard him admit on an undercover video that he “would not help” a baby born alive after a botched abortion.
“My belief that was formed after watching the video was if the fetus survived the abortion attempt, they were left to die,” Handy told the court during witness testimony.
In a ruling that many in the religious community see as a threat to their own tax-exempt status, the Wisconsin Supreme Court has ruled that Catholic Charities, a Catholic Non-Profit that serves the poor and the homeless, is not, fundamentally a religious organization because serving the poor and homeless isn’t a religious act.
Bank of America has suddenly terminated the account of independent journalist and documentarian Christina Urso, also known as Radix Verum. According to a video posted by Urso herself, Bank of America not only terminated her account, but has frozen her assets as well.
The board at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill voted to cut funding from diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and instead divert the funds to increase public safety.
If approved by the full board, the decision would move $2.3 million to help police the campus.
“It’s important to consider the needs of all 30,000 students, not just the 100 or so that may want to disrupt the university’s operations,” said budget committee vice-chair Marty Kotis. “It takes away resources for others.”
‘I don’t think it gives a return on investment to taxpayers.’
He also said that the funds needed to be funneled to police in order to provide enough security to protect students and faculty.
“They do not have all the tools they need right now to keep this campus safe from a larger threat,” Kotis said about the police.
A woman at the Central California Facility for Women says she witnessed the immediate aftermath of a jailhouse rape by a transgender inmate.
Mimi Le provided a sworn declaration to lawyers with the Women’s Liberation Front, which will be included in the organization’s case against California, according to evidence from the filing obtained by Reduxx.
Le reportedly said she was one of many inmates who saw events involving what was described as a “sexual assault” committed by a man who identifies as a woman and was therefore locked up in a women’s prison.
On May 19, a female inmate was taken to a medical-administrative building after other female inmates reported to staff that she had been raped, Le explained, adding that she found the woman to be “barely conscious.”
