“It’s about God’s [promise] that he makes to us,” Giants starter Landen Roupp said.

Major League Baseball has drawn a line in the sand: rainbow logos are fine, Bible verses are not. Three San Francisco Giants pitchers have reportedly been warned by the MLB after appearing during Friday night’s Pride Night game with Scripture references written on their caps, prompting a fresh round of questions about whether baseball’s diversity mantra extends to Christians who dissent from the league’s liberal social messaging.

Giants starter Landen Roupp appeared with “Genesis 9:12-16” written on his cap, the biblical passage describing God’s covenant symbolized by the rainbow. The inscription partially overlapped the Pride-themed rainbow “SF” logo featured on the special-edition cap. Relievers JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker also displayed Bible verses, while pitcher Sam Hentges opted to wear the club’s standard black cap rather than the Pride Night version.

MLB was not amused. “The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations,” MLB Chief Communications Officer Pat Courtney told The Athletic. Roupp, however, made clear he wasn’t backing away from the message.

“It’s just about God’s covenant and a promise that he makes to us,” Roupp told reporters. “That’s just kind of something I believe in, and I stand firm in that, and I’m thankful we live in a country where we have the freedom to believe what we want … and express what we want.”

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky is calling on Russia’s President Vladimir Putin to meet him America to come to a final peace agreement. Zelensky said, “Yesterday (Sunday), we discussed with President Trump that such a meeting could be organised in the US, in a format where Putin would find it much harder to refuse. We will see what comes of it. If Russia refuses this chance as well, additional pressure will be needed.”

Progressive California Governor Gavin Newsom called news of a DOJ investigation targeting him a political persecution, not a legitimate prosecution. The investigation, however, began under the Biden DOJ, not Trump’s DOJ, and is only now coming to light.

The DOJ is investigating numerous alleged acts of fraud and graft committed by the Governor. Newsom claimed, “Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us. They have not found a crime – they are simply trying to find one. He isn’t coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President.…”

Emails obtained by America First Legal reveal a host of officials, from FBI officials to sheriffs across the country, told the Biden administration they have no need to investigate parents protesting “woke” school boards. Despite these warnings, the Biden administration went ahead with a systematic effort to investigate parents for committing potential crimes by voicing their dissent against progressive policies.

Toronto police have linked multiple shootings, including one at the U.S. Consulate in March, to complex gun-for-hire networks

TORONTO — Police in Canada said Tuesday they have linked multiple shootings, including at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto in March, to “multilayered” gun-for-hire networks that have also targeted synagogues in the city.

Toronto police Chief Myron Demkiw told a news conference that young adults are being recruited through encrypted messages and paid by the networks to carry out the shootings and have to film them to get paid. Some of the firearms used in the attacks have since been seized by investigators.

Well, isn’t this a turn of events?

For years, the left has been pushing a false narrative that President Trump was best buds with Jeffrey Epstein.

But, the New York Times just published a new report that completely flips that script on its head!

Apparently, the disgraced billionaire pedophile busied himself in his final days trying to take down President Trump.

Contrary to the story that Democrats want you to believe, Epstein hated Trump and was angry with for turning him into the cops.

The US-Iran framework deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and bring the two adversaries back to the negotiating table over Tehran’s nuclear programme was signed on Wednesday amid differing reports and growing confusion over its contents.

Despite an earlier announcement that the agreement would be signed at a ceremony in Switzerland on Friday, US President Donald Trump signed a physical copy of the deal while dining with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Palace of Versailles.

In Tehran, President Masoud Pezeshkian also signed the document on Wednesday, according to the state-run IRNA news agency, which posted an image of him holding up the deal with his signature next to Trump’s.

War Secretary Pete Hegseth said the U.S. military was in a position to restart operations against Iran “if we need to,” shortly after President Donald Trump signed the memorandum of understanding in Versailles, France.

Speaking to reporters on the tarmac before departing from Brussels, Belgium, Hegseth indicated that, though the MOU sought to end the war with Iran, the U.S. was also prepared to launch renewed strikes if Tehran was not seen as having fulfilled its commitments under the deal.

“We will be prepared to recommence if, underneath the timeline of these talks, Iran does not do what it says it’s going to do, which is give up nuclear weapons, give up nuclear ambitions, give away their nuclear material, close nuclear facilities. Then the War Department is here and prepared to restart if we need to. We prefer not to, but we are prepared,” he said.

Congress often appears to function via the mantra of “one step forward, four steps back.” Even when policymakers take action — as in recent steps to fight fraud in government programs — they continue to ignore bigger issues with entitlement spending.

The annual release of the Medicare trustees’ report illustrates the problem. This year’s report showed that, by the end of last year at least, the administration’s anti-fraud efforts had not delayed the program’s (technical) insolvency date. Meanwhile, another year passed without lawmakers acting to fix a program that has been functionally insolvent for years.

The House Freedom Caucus is facing an exodus of its most prominent members, placing a question mark over its future after years at the center of GOP congressional fights.

More than a half-dozen caucus members are departing Washington after making runs for higher office, meaning next year will lack some of the loudest voices who made trouble for GOP leadership over the last two Congresses. One of the biggest absences will be Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX), a conservative firebrand who lost the Republican nomination for Texas attorney general.

“I think it’s going to be a massive loss,” Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) said of Roy, who is policy chairman of the Freedom Caucus. “I mean, he is an intellectual superpower. I’m amazed at how engaged he is on so many issues.”

Consider this juxtaposition: In a few weeks, Washington, D.C., will be the epicenter for America’s 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. A few months later, Washington, D.C. will likely be led by a democratic socialist for the first time ever.

As of now, democratic socialist Janeese Lewis George has a commanding lead in the Democrat Party’s primary for mayor of the nation’s capital, which occurred on June 16.

Lewis George, the first and only democratic socialist member on the DC City Council since the late 1990s, says her “people-first platform” will “improve the lives of the people in D.C. …by strategically and effectively utilizing all that the government can offer and do.”

Specifically, she wants the government to provide “childcare for all,” “affordable utilities for all,” “arts and culture for all,” “reliable transportation for all,” “good jobs for all,” and “homes for all.”

The national average price for regular gas dropped again on Thursday, falling below the $4-per-gallon threshold to $3.999, according to AAA. It marked the fourth straight week that gas prices in the country have decreased. Fuel costs have dropped 52 cents per gallon over the last month. Thursday’s gas price decrease comes the day after the United States and Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to end their military conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

It is the first time the national average price for a gallon of regular gas has been below $4 since March 30. Gas prices began to drop across the country shortly after Memorial Day weekend, traditionally recognized as the start of the summer driving season, which usually correlates with higher prices at the pump. A few days earlier, gas prices reached $4.564 per gallon on May 21, a record high price for 2026, and the most expensive national average gas price in the U.S. since 2022. It was also the highest gas price since President Donald Trump took office in either term.

Respecting sovereignty

The second point of the agreement states that both nations are to “undertake to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and to refrain from interfering in each other’s internal affairs”.

Iran is deeply suspicious of Trump, who twice in the past year attacked in the middle of negotiations.

Whether or not the Iranians are willing to compromise could also hinge on their supreme leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, considered more hardline than his father, who was killed along with the new leader’s mother, wife and son in a US-Israeli strike.

The US will also be distrustful, watching to see if Iran is stringing them along, as Trump aides say they have experienced before.

As Trump obfuscates over Iran concessions in his new ‘peace deal’ major tension grows between Israel and Washington over the inclusion of Lebanon – as it is seen as protecting Hezbollah

Israel has continued to hammer Hezbollah targets in south Lebanon in defiance of a ceasefire agreement between the US and Iran. At least one person has died in the attacks despite Lebanon being included in the ‘memorandum of understanding’ on the Iran war. US President Donald Trump’s controversial MOU concedes the inclusion of Lebanon, effectively limiting Israel’s ability to attack Iran’s proxy extension Hezbollah. It has infuriated many Israelis who see the MOU as severely restricting their ability to protect themselves from Hezbollah by attacking it.

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – War Secretary Pete Hegseth announced a new six-month military review of the U.S. European posture during the opening and public portion of Thursday’s NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels.

Led by Hegseth, the Pentagon has made it known that the department intends to reduce its forces, which includes fighter jets, strategic bombers, submarines, and more in Europe, and expects other European countries to fill the gaps left behind. They’ve dubbed the new version of the alliance “NATO 3.0.”

“I’m announcing today, a six-month Department of War review that will examine America’s force posture and basing in Europe — up to six months, could be less,” he said. “Let’s call it the NATO 3.0 review. This review will be conducted with the benefit of input from the United States military from European Command, it will involve consultations with the U.S. Congress and with our allies. But make no mistakes, this will be a real review.”

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services opened an investigation into the the largest professional organization for mental health professionals, the American Psychological Association, after a August 2025 complaint alleging antisemitism and anti-Israel bias in its programs and events. Critics point to APA-sponsored courses on ‘Decolonizing Therapy’ that they say pathologize Zionism and promote the Palestinian liberation struggle in clinical practice, plus unaddressed harassment of Jewish members since the October 7, 2023, attacks. The APA has condemned antisemitism in resolutions and pledged inclusive environments, but faces risks to its federal funding if violations of civil rights laws are found.

A Southern Poverty Law Center executive is accused of being the lover of the head of a Neo-Nazi group in a DOJ indictment filing. The document alleges an executive believed to be Heidi Beirich funneled $1.2 million to her lover, which was part of a larger $4 million payments. The SPLC is accused of paying the group to stage racist events that would then be cited in their fundraising campaigns.
