County GOP leader calls for more election integrity measures
The location where a student illegally voted at the University of Michigan in the last election remains active heading into this month’s midterm voting, prompting some election integrity concerns.
In 2024, 19-year-old Chinese national Haoxiang Gao was charged with voting illegally in the 2024 presidential election at a voting site set up in the university’s Museum of Art. He has since fled the country.
Currently the museum is listed as one of two “Campus Voting Hubs,” where early voting will start Oct. 21 and run through Nov. 1 and will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
The University of Michigan’s media relations division did not respond to requests from The College Fix asking what measures have been taken to ensure that no illegal voting occurs at the museum site again.
