Like his fellow Democrats Zohran Mamdani and Kamala Harris, U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico wants us to know he’s very upset that illegal alien Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed after he tried to run over ICE agents with his vehicle.

It’s another example of how, once again, Democrats are on the side of criminal illegal aliens and not the American people.

The Maine Senate race has turned into a disaster for Democrats after more allegations, this time alleging rape, were dropped against Graham Platner yesterday afternoon. While Platner has not dropped out of the race yet and has not indicated what he plans to do, several prominent Democrats have withdrawn their endorsements and called on him to drop out.

That means Democrats have to find someone to run against Republican incumbent Susan Collins. Governor Janet Mills dropped out of the race ages ago, not seeing a path to victory, so it’s unclear if she’d return to try again. But there’s a report that Democrats are looking at Nirva Shah, the former Biden administration CDC Director.

Retiring Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI) endorsed establishment-backed Rep. Haley Stevens (D-MI) in Michigan’s race to succeed him in the Senate.

Peters backed Stevens over the more progressive candidate Abdul el Sayed in the highly anticipated Aug. 4 Democratic primary for the Michigan Senate seat, putting his thumb on the scale days after the candidates faced off in their first one-on-one debate.

“This is not about rhetoric. It’s about action. She has been a fighter for Michigan. She has been effective in getting things done for the state,” Peters said of Stevens to the Detroit News.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich dropped an interesting X/Twitter post early Sunday morning:

Something interesting and unpredictable is happening around the country. In blue states Republicans are doing unusually well…In Minnesota Republican senate candidate Michelle Lafoya is tied at 47 with Democratic Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan. Hard to believe there is a blue wave coming when states like Minnesota and Oregon are in play. The continued rise of the big government socialist-weird values Democrats seems to be turning off a lot of people even in states that have traditionally been very leftwing.

On Wednesday evening, Graham Platner suspended his campaign as the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Maine. He had faced a growing number of scandals and loss of support, with the final straw coming Tuesday when an ex-girlfriend claimedPlatner broke into her home and raped her.

“I think as many of you know, over the past couple days, I have faced some very serious allegations and I just want to make it clear this is all false,” Platner said in his video announcement.

Former congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene caught some well-earned heat after she posted — and quickly deleted — a sharp attack on the woman accusing Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner of rape.

In the since-removed post, Greene questioned why the accuser, Jenny Racicot, waited years to go public and suggested she was turning past consensual encounters into “rape for politics.”

The timing is more than a little ironic, coming from the same congresswoman who had spent months positioning herself as the loudest voice for Epstein survivors, pushing hard for a full release of the files, and ripping President Trump for allegedly slow-walking accountability for the elite.

“Sexual violence is a red line. We are withdrawing our endorsement and calling on him to withdraw from this race.”

Multiple Democrats have pulled their endorsements of Senate candidate Graham Platner following a new report released on Monday that revealed a woman who dated him alleged he raped her. The report is the latest in a string of scandals that the Maine Democrat has faced on the campaign trail.

Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego wrote, “The allegations against Graham Platner are troubling and deeply serious. I am rescinding my endorsement.”

Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) is an easy Exhibit A in the tilt at PolitiFact. In his first Senate run in 2020, PolitiFact’s Tom Kertscher threw a “Pants On Fire” flag at his opponent Sen. David Perdue for labeling Ossoff a “socialist.” Ossoff was endorsed by Bernie Sanders (and Ossoff welcomed it.) And yet, Ossoff can smear Trump as a “totalitarian farce” with no checking.

On Monday, PolitiFact threw a “False” at Ossoff’s current Republican opponent, Rep. Mike Collins:

U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff “cast the deciding vote for the inflation disaster,” referring to the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.

PolitiFact newbie Ben Brasch really had to stretch reality to come to Ossoff’s defense. The Senate vote on the “Inflation Reduction Act” was 50-50, so if he had voted against it, that vote would decide it. He was a deciding vote.

But no, everybody blamed Kamala:

Ossoff supported the Inflation Reduction Act. Every Democratic vote was needed, but he was not the “deciding vote.” Harris, as vice president, came in to break the tie.

Despite its name, the law had little effect on inflation. Inflation had peaked by the time it passed, and many provisions required phasing in over several years.

We rate the statement False.

A Fox News poll published Tuesday shows the 2026 Maine Senate race remains tight, with incumbent Republican Sen. Susan Collins holding a narrow lead over Democrat Graham Platner.

The poll shows that among registered voters, Collins receives 50 percent support to Platner’s 47 percent. The race shifts among the most engaged voters. Platner leads Collins 53 percent to 44 percent among those who say they are extremely motivated to vote, fueled by higher enthusiasm among Democrats.

About 76 percent of Democrats say they are highly motivated to vote, compared to 61 percent of Republicans. The poll also found voters have concerns about both candidates, but worries about Platner run deeper. Roughly one-third of independents said they are extremely concerned about Platner’s judgment, while 30 percent said the same about Collins having served too long.

Far-left Texas Democrat James Talarico is tied with Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in a shocking new Senate poll, raising alarms that Democrats may have a path to threaten a reliable GOP stronghold.

Democrats have not won a U.S. Senate race in Texas in nearly four decades.

However, a New York Times/Siena survey released Tuesday found Talarico and Paxton tied at 47 percent support among likely Texas voters.

The race is one of a handful that could determine whether Republicans keep control of the Senate.

This election season has included a lot of talk about the openly socialist candidates winning Democratic Party primaries in New York and other deep-blue regions of the country.

But in Texas, US Senate hopeful James Talarico is spewing many of the same far-left ideas from a package that might appear less extreme to some voters.

Now that he’s facing GOP Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a steady stream of those prior remarks are coming back to bite him.

As the Washington Free Beacon highlighted in a new report:

Talarico’s remarks came during a 2022 speech he delivered to a group of Texas inmates graduating from a high school diploma program. After approvingly quoting the prominent prison abolitionist Ruth Wilson Gilmore—Talarico described her as an “anti-prison activist” who said “prisons are a catchall solution to our social problems”—he laid out his vision for a “world without prisons.”

“Prisons allow us to ignore the consequences of systemic racism and global capitalism,” Talarico said. “If we took just half of what we spent on wars, prisons, and policing and spent it on education, health care, and jobs, we could make prisons obsolete.”

“It’s hard to imagine a world without prisons,” he continued. “But it was also hard to imagine a world without telegrams and cassette tapes. Just because it was hard to imagine doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. We won’t build it overnight, but dreaming is the first step.”

According to the interweb, being transqueer means you live in gender delusion while also being “queer.” Being queer means your identity “falls outside of traditional heterosexual and cisgender norms.” And when you combine all of that with leftism, you get the “ trans queer Latinx theologian” who inspired James Talarico — and it is worse than you think.

Per the New York Post:

Texas Democratic Senate hopeful James Talarico once lavished praise on a self-described “TransQueer, Latinx” activist theologian as a major source of inspiration for his left-wing philosophy.

“When you started following me on Twitter, I couldn’t contain my inner fan boy, because I read your book last year and it continues to inspire me and y’all’s work continues to inspire me,” the state lawmaker told Roberto Henderson-Espinoza during a March 2021 podcast appearance.

“I told you I was a boring, straight, cis white man, and I added ‘Presbyterian’ to spice it up,” Talarico added. “My imagination is also just limited by my own background and identity.”

Uh oh. Josh Kraushaar, a center-left reporter who specializes in Congress, recently acknowledged the obvious about the 2026 battle for the U.S. Senate:

This is an extraordinarily tough Senate map for the Democrats. Even though the party is in a very historically favorable national environment, the reality is it would take a tsunami for Democrats to win more than two Senate seats.

This is what I have been saying for a while. The Republicans have a 53 to 47-seat majority in the Senate, with 35 seats up this year. The Democrats need a net pick up of four seats to win control. But only two Republican seats – Maine and North Carolina – are in competitive states. The other 20 GOP seats are in states Donald Trump won by double digits. That almost never happens in Senate elections, let alone twice. In the 2025 Virginia elections, the Democrats won a landslide, but they didn’t carry a single district where Trump won with that margin.

The Democrats also must not lose any of their own competitive seats. And in the blue wave of 2018, the Democrats lost Florida. This year, they could lose Georgia, Michigan, and/or New Hampshire.

Washington — Rep. Mike Collins will face off against Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in November as Republicans look to Georgia to deliver a key GOP victory that could determine control of the Senate.

Collins won the Republican Senate runoff in Georgia on Tuesday night, CBS News projects, defeating Derek Dooley, a former college football coach.

The contest went to a runoff after no candidate secured 50% of the vote in last month’s primary, where a third candidate, Rep. Buddy Carter, was eliminated. Collins, the owner of a trucking business, has represented Georgia in the House since 2023 and finished first in the runoff with almost 41% of the vote. Dooley, an attorney who coached football at the University of Tennessee and is the son of legendary University of Georgia football coach Vince Dooley, won around 30% of the vote last month.

As more and more revelations come to the fore about Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, who just won the Democrat primary this week, many Democrats seem to have adopted a simple mantra regarding his campaign: Vote for the Nazi: It’s important.

The saying echoes a slogan from campaigns past — one that supporters of Republican Sen. Susan Collins, Platner’s opponent in the general election, would do well to employ against Platner. The slogan demonstrates how Democrats will embrace a candidate — any candidate — so long as that person opposes President Trump.

Since he came down the escalator 11 years ago, Donald Trump’s personal conduct made him uniquely unfit for office and Americans had a moral obligation to oppose him, so said Democrats. Character mattered in politics, they told us.

But on Tuesday, nearly 150,000 Mainers sent a different message. Democrats handed Graham Platner a landslide primary victory, a decisive win for the man who had a Nazi tattoo. And to be clear, Platner wasn’t the only candidate on the ballot. Incumbent Gov. Janet Mills and former Democrat Senate nominee in 2024 David Costello were on the ballot as well. And yet it was a landslide victory for Platner.

Platner spent 18 years bearing a Nazi tattoo and only had it removed when it became ever so slightly (emphasis on slightly) politically inconvenient. He also said women worried about rape should not “get blacked out, f*cked up around people” they aren’t “comfortable” with. He also allegedly said that if someone ever broke into his home, he would “rape them … [but] not in a sexual way, not in a gay way.”

While taking questions from the press inside the Oval Office, Trump was asked if he would be endorsing Collins, who is running against Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner, to which Trump responded that he would be supporting her despite the two having different ideologies.

New polling data suggests that a Senate race in a state Trump won by double digits could fall to Democrats in the midterms.

Incumbent Republican Sen. Jon Husted is facing a challenge from former three-term Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, who lost his 2024 bid for reelection. But now just two years after President Donald Trump carried Ohio by 11 percentage points in the 2024 election, Brown is leading Husted by an eight-point margin 53% to 45%, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.

Brown has 98% of support among Democrats, whereas Husted only has the support of 86% of support among Republicans, according to the poll.

Fifty-seven percent of Ohio residents view Trump negatively, while 42% still hold a favorable opinion, the poll found. Husted’s ratings are comparable to Trump’s ratings in the state, as 50% view him unfavorably and 41% view him favorably. Brown, on the other hand, holds a 53% favorable rating and 44% unfavorable rating.

No, Jake Auchincloss did not mouth the words “I support Susan Collins and go vote for her instead,” but that’s essentially what he did yesterday with his appearance on CNN. Bad-mouthing the presumptive Democratic nominee in a Senate seat that the Democrats absolutely need to gain control of the U.S. Senate is beyond stupid. Still, it’s always worth reminding ourselves that Republicans don’t have a monopoly on stupid politicians. Almost, but not quite.

Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) trashed his party’s presumptive nominee for U.S. Senate in Maine, Graham Platner, on Monday, calling the Democratic candidate’s Nazi tattoo scandal and his claims about it “personally disqualifying.”

The controversy stems from a report last year that Platner had a tattoo on his chest of a Nazi SS “Totenkopf” symbol. Platner has since covered the tattoo and denied knowingly displaying Nazi imagery, saying he got the tattoo with fellow Marines during a trip to Croatia in 2007 and did not understand its meaning at the time.

Auchincloss had previously become one of the first elected Democrats to publicly urge Platner to abandon the Senate contest against incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) after the tattoo controversy surfaced.
