Against the will of the rank-and-file members of the Florida GOP, the people who gave the party its overwhelming majorities in the legislature and Governor’s office, the Florida RINO GOP is leading a revolt through the creation of a bill allegedly intended to help Trump’s Deportation agenda.

Governor Ron DeSantis said of the bill, “The Legislature’s bill is a bait-and-switch tactic trying to create the illusion of an illegal immigration crack down, when it does anything but. It is an insult to name such a weak bill after President Trump, who has been so strong on this issue.”

He added, “By giving enforcement power to the agricultural arm of state government, it ensures that enforcement never actually occurs. In short, it puts the fox in charge of the hen house.”

For the past six or seven years, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has been a conservative stalwart in the Sunshine State, and the Republican-controlled state legislature has begrudgingly followed his lead.

But like so many other Republican states, Florida has a deeply entrenched uni party establishment, despite the fact that DeSantis has turned Florida from purple to ruby red, at least with respect to voting patterns.

Most recently, DeSantis called a special session of the legislature to back President Donald Trump’s immigration and mass deportation efforts. Rather than passing helpful immigration policies, the Florida Republican establishment gaveled out on Monday and started their own special session in an attempt to gut immigration enforcement in the state.

In a bill called the TRUMP Act, they named Agriculture Commissioner Wilton Simpson as the chief immigration officer in Florida, and perhaps even worse, they failed to pass a meaningful duty for local and state law enforcement to help with immigration enforcement.

“By giving enforcement power to the agricultural arm of state government, it ensures that enforcement never actually occurs,” DeSantis said on social media. “In short, it puts the fox in charge of the hen house.”

DeSantis added that the move to appoint Simpson as the chief immigration officer “unconstitutionally removes authority to enforce the law from the governor to a lower-level cabinet agency.” He warned that the stakeholders in that agency “often oppose enforcement measures.”

The nerve that these lawmakers had to name their watered-down bill the TRUMP Act indeed showed they were signaling to voters that they are handling immigration when in reality they are trying to do the opposite.

Daniel Horowitz, a commentator with The Blaze, added that such efforts are “why so many Republican voters have become jaded with the party.”

Rather than executing on the immigration agenda Florida voters so clearly want, Florida Republican Senate President Ben Albritton is “working with the open borders lobby to undermine the best opportunity to end illegal immigration once and for all,” Horowitz cautioned.

The TRUMP Act bizarrely had a provision to create “more beds” for criminal illegal aliens, prompting DeSantis aide Christina Pushaw to respond.

“Why does it sound like these legislators’ priority is to ensure Florida pays for more beds to comfortably house illegal aliens here?” she asked. “We voted for MASS DEPORTATIONS.”

Lake County Republican Commissioner Anthony Sabatini likewise rebuked the Florida state legislature. He warned that the proposal is a “FAKE immigration bill” that watered down the DeSantis agenda to “nearly nothing” and put “pro-illegal immigration” Simpson in charge of enforcement.

Though we do not see the Republican establishment rear its ugly head as visibly in Florida relative to other red states, the swamp still needs to be drained in Tallahassee.

The latest showdown in Florida is a reminder that the Democrats are not always the problem.

Sometimes the establishment Republicans are actually the enemy.

Even worse, rather than directly opposing the conservative agenda, those sorts of Republicans coat their subversion in a veneer of conservatism in cynical attempts to fool voters.

That means conservatives in Florida, and the rest of the country, must remain vigilant.

A volatile stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border near Fronton, Texas, has once again become the scene of cartel-related chaos. According to Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin, suspected cartel members engaged in a violent incident during what authorities believe was a human smuggling operation.

Just yards from U.S. soil, cartel gunmen armed with rifles patrol the riverbanks, visibly unchallenged on the Mexican side. In some cases, these armed operatives have aimed AK-47s at Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) helicopters. Rival cartels are even seen warring with each other, with Texas DPS thermal drone footage capturing combatants throwing explosives in their fight for control over smuggling routes.

The state of Texas has taken aggressive measures to counteract cartel influence in the area. In October, Texas declared Fronton Island state property and launched a bold initiative to clear and secure it. Crews bulldozed the brush, deployed razor wire, and fortified the territory, turning what was once dense cover for cartel activity into an open, 171-acre barren landscape. The state also stationed Texas troopers and National Guard soldiers to patrol the area, fully armed and prepared to prevent illegal crossings.

“Here on the US side of the river you can see what Texas has done with Fronten Island. They have completely cleared it out, they’ve deployed razor wire and there is now nowhere for these cartel gunmen to hide if they want to cross here illegally,” Melugin reported during his on-the-ground segment.

A whistleblower asserted that Visa and Mastercard failed to prevent the laundering of funds related to child sexual abuse material and sex trafficking on the pornography website OnlyFans.

Reuters reported on Friday that the whistleblower, who works as a “senior compliance expert in the credit card and banking industries,” submitted a complaint in January 2023 with the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, also known as FinCEN.

That report was previously undisclosed.

Border Patrol agents in the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Blaine Sector apprehended Jordanian national Mohammad Hasan Abdellatif Albana, 41, near Lynden, Washington, a few miles from the Canadian border.

The Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by pollster Scott Rasmussen Nov. 18-19. It asked: “President Trump has said that he will declare a national emergency because of the illegal immigration problem. This would let the Trump Administration use military force to help with a mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Do you favor or oppose declaring a national emergency to address the problem of illegal immigration?”

In response, 31% of those polled said they strongly favor declaring a national emergency, and 24% said they somewhat favor it. Combined, 55% of Americans support Trump’s plan. Those in favor include 62% of Hispanic voters, 57% of white voters, and 50% of Black voters.

As ABC News reports, Buckingham sent a letter to President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying that 1,402 acres of land, located along the southern border and purchased by the state of Texas, can be put to use in the construction of “deportation facilities.” The land had been purchased from a farmer by the Texas General Land Office, with the original purpose of constructing a state-funded wall along the border.

In an interview on Fox News, Buckingham reaffirmed that she is “100% on board” with the planned deportation operation. She explained that the 1,400-acre area in question is “essentially farmland, so it’s flat, it’s easy to build on.”

“We can very easily put a detention center on there, a holding place as we get these criminals out of our country,” she continued.

The offer from Texas comes as Democratic governors and mayors have vowed to resist the planned deportation operations, choosing to double down on their so-called “sanctuary” status as they intend to harbor illegal aliens and refuse to cooperate with federal authorities.

On Monday, President-elect Trump confirmed that he was strongly considering the use of a national emergency declaration to carry out the deportations, which would grant him broader executive powers including the use of the military in doing so. He has vowed to begin “the largest deportation operation in American history” on his first day in office.

“Local and state officials on the frontlines of the Harris-Biden border invasion have been suffering for four years and are eager for President Trump to return to the Oval Office,” said Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, who was recently announced as the president-elect’s pick for White House Press Secretary. “On day one, President Trump will marshal every lever of power to secure the border, protect their communities, and launch the largest mass deportation operation of illegal immigrant criminals in history.”

The vicious Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua has expanded its territory to at least 16 US states — an area that includes half of America’s population, The Post has learned.

Homeland Security officials last week were warned in an internal department intelligence memo about TdA’s growing presence across the country, most recently in Washington, DC, Virginia, Montana and Wyoming.

The gang already has footholds in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, according to the memo and previous reporting by The Post.

An internal Homeland Security memo obtained by The Post warns of TdA’s expanding footprint across the US.

The gang has only increased its “violent tendencies” as it spreads, the memo added.

Tren de Aragua’s arrival in the nation’s capital and nearby Virginia coincided with “increases in migrant populations” there, the memo stated.

“As the population of Venezuelan nationals continues to increase, the potential for violent TdA migrants is highly probable,” the memo warned.

In one run-in with the cutthroat gang in Virginia, cops in Fairfax County arrested three suspected members in August 2023 for shoplifting.

One of the suspects had a fake Venezuelan ID, and all three bore the gang’s signature tattoos.

The main argument against deporting illegals comes from the MSM, who makes the argument that without illegal aliens “who will pick the crops?” The apologetic is not unsimilar to the argument made in favor of keeping slavery in America before the Civil War. Local law enforcement in a Florida county announced the arrest of over 100 people who committed looting and similar crimes in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, with at least 41 of these suspects being illegal aliens.

As reported by Fox News, police officers on patrol for looters in Pinellas County have made the arrests over the course of the last three weeks. A total of 45 suspects were arrested on 68 different charges, ranging from robbery and burglary to grand theft, vandalism, and trespassing.

“They’re going into people’s homes, they’re taking stuff, they’re rummaging through their things,” said Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri at a press conference announcing the arrests.

Another 58 were arrested for their involvement in a scam operation that preyed upon unlicensed contractors. The scammers would send fake bills to victims, demanding that they pay for repairs that they didn’t actually do; their fake bills collectively totaled $250 million.

“This is the epitome of people trying to exploit others when they’re down and when they’re out, and they’re trying to rebuild and they’ve got nothing,” Gualtieri continued.

Of the 45 looters who were arrested, 41 were illegals, mostly from Latin America.

In addition, the sheriff’s office has made contact with at least 196 suspects who were roaming in beachside neighborhoods where they did not belong, but could not arrest them due to a lack of probable cause. Of those suspects, at least 63 were illegal aliens.

“So, we made contact with them and told them to get out,” said Gualtieri. “We’ve never seen anything of this magnitude before. We’ve never seen this influx of people from out of the area that are clearly just here to steal and to pilfer and to do bad things and to target these vulnerable people.”

“As the Pinellas beaches recover, we are going to continue these patrols and arrest everyone we can who is stealing from the vulnerable victims of two back-to-back storms that have devastated our community,” Gualtieri added.
