CENTCOM Nails Iran in Another Lie, While Regime Official Makes Big Admission – RedState– redstate.com

EXCERPT:

There were reports all over X on Monday night about a U.S. helicopter possibly going down in the Red Sea after squawking an emergency signal and dropping.

Then there were claims that the helicopter had been shot down.

But now U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has scotched that story, calling out Iranian media for spreading the lie.

CLAIM: Iranian state media has been pushing false reports that a U.S. Navy MH-60R helicopter crashed in the Red Sea after declaring an emergency last night.

FACT: Reports of a downed U.S. Navy helicopter in the Red Sea are not true. All U.S. military aircraft and personnel across the Middle East are safe and accounted for.

Seeing Red: Trump Signs Executive Order on Dyed Fuel in Bid to Bring Down Diesel Prices – RedState– redstate.com

EXCERPT:

Fuel prices have risen since the onset of the U.S.-Iran conflict, and the price of diesel has shot up sharply in recent weeks.

President Donald Trump says it isn’t just shipping issues in the Strait of Hormuz that’s causing it; the rise is also exacerbated by Ukraine’s attacks on Russian refineries (something that the president has asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop) as their war continues to drag on.

On Monday evening, Trump announced an executive order intended to ease the pain at the pump for truckers and other diesel users by expanding access to so-called red-dyed diesel fuel, which is normally only allowed to be used by the construction and agriculture industries and the like because it is not subject to the federal highway tax.

For First Time, Pakistan To Deploy Troops To Aide Saudi-Backed Yemen Forces– www.ndtv.com

Turkey and Pakistan will undertake a “rapid deployment” of troops to Saudi Arabia as part of a new mutual defence alliance, the three countries said Monday, as the Gulf kingdom faces escalating attacks from Yemen’s Houthis.

The three countries in August signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement committing them to come to each other’s aid in the event one were attacked.

The pact unites NATO’s second-largest army, that of Turkey, with the Islamic world’s only nuclear-armed state, Pakistan, and the leading Gulf power, Saudi Arabia.

Their representatives held an emergency meeting in Riyadh on Monday where they noted recent attacks on Saudi Arabia, in particular ones targeting the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, without mentioning the Iran-backed Houthis by name.

The trio “reaffirmed their unequivocal rejection of any attack or threat against the Kingdom’s security and territorial integrity”, they said in a joint statement.

They also agreed “to move immediately to the practical implementation of the collective defence commitments and to take the necessary measures to provide the agreed military forces and capabilities and ensure their rapid deployment in the Kingdom”.

The statement did not specify what sort of role the troops would fill once in Saudi Arabia.

Networks Falsely Claim Trump Wants Iran to Attack Los Angeles and San Diego– www.newsbusters.org

On Tuesday, the “Big Three” elitist networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC each used their flagship morning newscasts to lie to their viewers with four weeks until Election Day by falsely claiming President Trump mused about allowing Iran to destroy Los Angeles and/or San Diego, California, as a “small price to pay” to defeat the Islamist regime.

In a move reminiscent of their 2024 push to make “garbage-gate” a thing, the spin wasn’t true, as Trump was referring to fuel prices as the “small price to pay” to crush Iran as opposed to allowing its ballistic missile and nuclear programs to grow to the point they could fire said warhead at an American city.

ABC’s Good Morning America unsurprisingly led the way. Co-host George Stephanopoulos leaned into his true calling as a longtime Democratic Party official: “Also on Iran, the President is sparking a fierce backlash after suggesting a campaign rally that Iran could take out Los Angeles or San Diego, American cities run by Democrats.”

During the program’s announcement, Mamdani’s wife attended a luxury retreat hosted by a group that called for the abolition of Israel.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s new antisemitism strategy doubles funding for a community grant program whose partners include an anti-Israel organization previously led by Linda Sarsour, while omitting Zionism and declining to adopt a definition of antisemitism.

According to City Hall’s announcement, the strategy includes $6.4 million for Partners Against the Hate, or PATH, doubling the program’s funding from the previous year. However, among PATH’s six core partners is the Arab American Association of New York, which Sarsour led for more than a decade. The organization supported the Columbia University’s violent Gaza encampment and other anti-Israel protests following October 7, according to the New York Post.

The September 29 announcement coincided with his wife’s participation in a luxury Islamic wellness retreat in Portugal organized by Women Sanctuary, which had publicly called for Israel’s abolition.

Sarsour’s relationship with Mamdani extends beyond campaigning for him. She warned that her activist network would hold him to his campaign promises, including dismantling the NYPD’s Strategic Response Group, which responds to major protests and other emergencies. “Electing Zohran doesn’t mean we’re going to let him do whatever the hell he wants when he gets to City Hall,” Sarsour said.

Sarsour has a long history of antisemitic statements, including her assertion: “Israel was built on the idea that Jews are supreme to everybody else.” Sarsour left Women’s March leadership in 2019 amid controversies over antisemitism.

Iran War Updates: Battle for control of Red Sea, attacks on energy infrastructure temper news of rising oil flow– www.cbsnews.com

Middle East oil exports, excluding those from Iran, surpassed their pre-war levels last week, despite attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, according to data from the maritime tracking firm Kpler.

For the first time since the U.S. and Israel launched their offensive against Iran at the end of February, the weekly average of shipments rose for several days above the pre-conflict average of 18 million barrels per day.

Crude oil exports reached pre-war levels in September, with at least 16.5 million barrels leaving the region excluding Iran, Kpler said.

“Forty percent now bypass Hormuz, and most crude crossing the strait changes tankers offshore,” Kpler said, adding that most of the oil flowed through Saudi and United Arab Emirates pipelines.

Those figures include flows via the Red Sea, a route increasingly used to bypass the blockade Iran is attempting to impose on the strait, through which around a fifth of the world’s petroleum supplies crossed before the conflict.

Iran still claims control over the strait, and ships without its authorization risk coming under attack, but more and more are making it out, and alternative routes meant to bypass the waterway are operating at full capacity.

Despite the rebound, experts stressed that the situation is far from normal, and Iran is still being deprived of a large share of its own exports by a U.S. counterblockade of Iranian ports.

Trump Has A Truly Deranged Message About Iran Destroying U.S. Cities– crooksandliars.com
News Source
EXCERPT:

Donald J. Trump suggested during a campaign rally in Nebraska that allowing Iran to “take out” Los Angeles or San Diego would be an acceptable cost of the ongoing war.

While discussing the conflict, Trump described its economic impact as a “small price to pay” to keep the country safe. He then bizarrely applied that logic concerning the possibility of an attack on a major American city, telling the crowd, “They can take out a city. Let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego.”

Even more disturbing was the crowd’s response: they cheered rather than recoiled. We’re used to Trump’s deranged remarks, but there’s something extremely disturbing about the idea of thousands of people enthusiastically applauding the notion that millions of their fellow Americans could be sacrificed as an acceptable “price to pay.”

Trump’s comments immediately drew condemnation from California officials. Gov. Gavin Newsom called the president “deranged and dangerous,” while Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said a president’s responsibility is to protect Americans, not threaten them or encourage attacks against them.

San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria similarly rejected the idea that his city could be treated as collateral damage, saying San Diego residents are “not expendable” and should not be considered a “small price to pay.”

Both cities overwhelmingly rejected him at the ballot box. That’s not a coincidence.

Iran Faces Severe Challenges to Rebuild Missile and Drone Production– warontherocks.com

EXCERPT:

With the significant Israeli and U.S. military attacks against Iran in 2025 and early 2026, analysts have discussed and debated Iran’s ability to replenish its missile and drone arsenal. Since 2024, Iran has burned through thousands of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and one-way attack drones in its retaliatory attacks against Israel, U.S. military bases, and other targets in the region. In addition, air and missile strikes destroyed many more Iranian missiles and drones along with their launchers. Importantly, Israeli and U.S. attacks in 2024, 2025, and especially 2026 cumulatively caused severe damage to Iran’s missile and drone industry as well as its larger defense research-industrial base. Thus, Iran’s ability to replenish its arsenal of operational missiles and drones has become an important topic for policymakers, intelligence analysts, military planners, and outside experts.

Since the Israeli and U.S. militaries halted their attacks on Iran’s missile and drone industries in April 2026, there have been conflicting claims about the status of Iran’s ability to produce new systems. For instance, many American and Israeli officials have claimed that Iran can no longer produce missiles and drones. However, Iran’s rapid recovery after the spring 2026 war reportedly stunned some Israeli officials and raised concerns that Iran may return to producing hundreds of missiles per month. For their part, Iranian officials have claimed that, despite the attacks, Iran has continued to produce and improve missiles and drones. This is likely bluster for deterrence purposes and, if anything, reflects Iran’s assembly of missiles from finished parts, rather than the reconstitution of its industries and supply chains.

Iran has promoted a new system encouraging citizens to report information about Iranians living abroad, effectively crowdsourcing surveillance of the diaspora through a website and messaging platforms including Telegram, according to Iranian media reports and an Iranian official source who confirmed the program to Fox News Digital.

The platform, known as Alaj — Persian for “remedy” or “cure” — asks users to provide information on people overseas whom it accuses of acting against Iran’s national interests or security. Iran International reported that tips could be submitted through the Alaj website, a Telegram bot and Iran’s Bale messaging service. The outlet reported that Iranian state television and the Revolutionary Guard-affiliated Fars News Agency also promoted the initiative.

An Iranian official source confirmed to Fox News Digital that Alaj and the Telegram chatbot were established as a new system through which certain individuals could report information about Iranians living abroad. The source said the website was subsequently taken down after the project drew significant criticism inside Iran.

Israel’s defence minister on Tuesday said he had put the military on high alert before the anniversary of Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack, warning Gazans would pay a “heavy price” if forces were harmed.

The office of Defence Minister Israel Katz said the instruction came “in light of intelligence regarding Hamas’s intentions to attempt to carry out attacks and terror operations against our forces in Gaza on that day”.

“If, heaven forbid, our forces are harmed, the ones who will pay the heavy price will be Hamas and the population of Gaza – beyond all proportion,” the statement added.

Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack was the deadliest day in Israel’s history, resulting in the deaths of 1,221 people, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures.

Militants also dragged 251 hostages into Gaza, 44 of them already dead.

But security experts warn that the withdrawal could give Iran and its allies free rein, while also allowing a comeback for ISIS.

“Iran stands to benefit strategically from the coalition’s departure because it removes a military presence that for years acted as a counterweight to Iran’s influence in Iraq,” said Jasim al-Bahadli, an Iraqi security analyst.

KABUL: The Pakistani military launched rare deadly strikes on Afghanistan’s Helmand province on Thursday (Oct 1), the Taliban government and residents told AFP.

Afghanistan and Pakistan went to war earlier this year and, with no permanent resolution to security issues reached, there have been sporadic attacks since a March truce.

The latest strikes hit Helmand as well as Kunar, which borders Pakistan, killing 10 civilians, according to the Taliban government’s deputy spokesman Hamdullah Fitrat.

Islamabad confirmed “planned and calibrated” strikes in Afghanistan, without detailing locations, which it said targeted militants.

Two Helmand residents told AFP that three airstrikes hit their village.

Alongside neighbouring Kandahar province, which was hit by an airstrike last week, Helmand in southern Afghanistan holds great importance for the Taliban movement.

Speaking by phone from Helmand’s Safar village, 50-year-old resident Abdul Wahid said the strikes killed four people and wounded seven.

Another villager, Qudrat Ullah, said he was home when his neighbours’ house was hit.

Rubio Says ‘Foreign Actor’ Was Behind Thwarted Plot Near U.S.-Used Air Base in Britain › American Greatness– amgreatness.com

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Monday that a “foreign actor” was involved in a thwarted plot near a British military base used by U.S. forces, warning that threats against American interests will carry consequences.

“What happened, what almost happened, what could have happened in the U.K. over the weekend is a very serious situation,” Rubio told Fox News’ “Hannity.” “It’s one that clearly involves the hands of a foreign actor.”

Rubio declined to identify the foreign actor but pointed to Iran as an example of a country that has threatened American interests around the world.

“We’re going to always take that very seriously,” Rubio said. “There will be repercussions for that, if it ever were to happen or even attempted.”

British police arrested five men early Sunday after authorities were alerted to three large white vans parked near RAF Fairford in western England. The base is operated by Britain’s Royal Air Force and used by the U.S. military.

All five suspects, British nationals in their early 20s from London, were released on bail Monday as authorities continued investigating whether people acting on behalf of a foreign state were involved.

President Donald Trump said Monday that the incident “might be” connected to Iran and criticized the decision to release the suspects.

“I wouldn’t have done that,” Trump said.

America opened its “forever war” in Iraq more than 23 years ago with “Shock and Awe.” It ended it on Wednesday with little of either, even as the legacy of that conflict — which saw Iraq endure sectarian bloodbaths, civil war and an insurgency that made Baghdad the car bomb capital of the world — continues to cast its shadow on the country today.

President Trump, summing up the U.S. role in Iraq as “a very expensive excursion into Hell,” said, “This day is a victory for the United States, a victory for Iraq…. We’re getting the hell out of there.”

It was the second time U.S. forces have pulled out of Iraq. The first withdrawal took place in 2011, capping the occupation that began in 2003 and toppled Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, and which resulted in Iraqi deaths that number 110,000 to four times greater and the loss of about 4,500 U.S. service members.

But three years later, Islamic State jihadis scythed through wide swaths of Iraq, scooping up U.S.-supplied materiel — as Iraqi troops literally ran away — and seizing control of nearly a third of the country. The U.S., this time at the Iraqi government’s request, led a coalition in a campaign — named Inherent Resolve — that by 2017 had destroyed Islamic State’s caliphate and driven most of its fighters into Syria. Since then, Iraqi forces have fought Islamic State remnants engaged in a low-level insurgency around the country’s remote areas.

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence said its forces killed 28 fighters in the eastern province of Nuristan who had crossed the border from Pakistan.

In a statement posted to X, the Taliban’s defence ministry confirmed it had engaged in clashes with the opposing group on Sunday.

The defence ministry alleged that most of the fighters were former Afghan government security personnel recruited by Pakistan’s intelligence services with promises of asylum and well-paid employment in foreign countries.

The defence ministry claimed the fighters included ISIL (ISIS) fighters who were supported by Pakistani militias.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting rejected the allegations, describing them in a post on X as “frivolous, baseless and devoid of any truth”.

Pakistan denied that its security forces or intelligence agencies were involved in clashes in Nuristan, had recruited or trained former Afghan security personnel, or had facilitated ISIL (ISIS) or other armed groups in Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s information ministry also said the Taliban “should take credible and verifiable action against terrorist organisations operating from its territory” and fulfil its obligation so that “Afghan soil will not be used for terrorism against Pakistan or any other country rather than attempting to deflect responsibility through fabricated accusations”.

Bessent: Iran’s Economy Will Have ‘Nothing Left to Trade’ in Two Weeks– www.breitbart.com

EXCERPT:

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent warned Sunday that Iran will have “nothing left to trade for anything” within roughly two weeks as its remaining oil reaches China, arguing that the Trump administration’s economic campaign has brought Tehran “to its knees” and is driving the regime to seek a deal.

Bessent said only about 15 million barrels of Iranian oil remain on the water as the United States maintains its blockade of Iranian exports, leaving Tehran close to exhausting one of its remaining major sources of revenue.

“I am confident, given that there are only 15 million more barrels of Iranian oil on the water, that Iran will have nothing left to trade for anything,” Bessent told Fox News’s Larry Kudlow on Sunday Morning Futures.

Bessent put the remaining window at roughly two weeks.

“Probably within the next two weeks, they are going to make their final deliveries of oil to China, and then they will have nothing,” he said. “It is an empty set, and I believe they are feeling the pressure here and that’s why they want a deal.”

Bessent’s assessment comes as President Donald Trump has rejected Tehran’s latest proposal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz while signaling that negotiations could continue this week, saying Iran is now seeking terms Washington might have accepted before the war.

“They want to make a deal, but it is not the deal that I want to make,” Trump told Axios on Sunday. “It is what we would have maybe agreed to a year ago. They overplayed their hand.”
