Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas is taking aim at late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert for pulling an interview with her opponent.
Colbert lashed out at President Donald Trump after CBS pulled an interview with James Talarico, another Democratic candidate running for Senate against Crockett, citing new FCC guidelines. While Colbert pointed the finger at the government, Crockett was quick to push back on the narrative, insisting that the federal government had nothing to do with the decision to pull Talarico’s interview.
‘This was because of a fear that the FCC may say something to them.’

German public broadcaster ZDF has issued an on-air apology after its flagship news program, Heute Journal, aired a segment containing AI-generated footage depicting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arresting a migrant family.
The controversy followed the Feb. 15 broadcast, which ZDF said examined fears in parts of the United States over immigration enforcement operations. Viewers quickly noted on social media that portions of the footage were artificially generated, with an OpenAI Sora watermark visible on screen.
If you wanted a textbook example of the Streisand Effect, look no further than the Trump administration’s meddling in the Texas Senate race.
CBS News refused to air late night host Stephen Colbert’s interview with Democratic Texas state Rep. James Talarico, who is currently locked in a competitive Senate primary with Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
Colbert said that CBS’ lawyers feared retribution from the Federal Communications Commission, claiming that the interview could be seen as a violation of the equal-time rule.

Executives at CBS News made it clear to Late Show host Stephen Colbert: he wasn’t to interview Texas state Rep. James Talarico last night, nor was he to discuss how he wasn’t supposed to talk to the Democratic US Senate hopeful. But Colbert, who only has months left of his tenure on the show after being ousted by Paramount Global, didn’t listen.

Students at Eagle Ridge Middle School in Minnesota participated in an anti-ICE protest during the school day, chanting slogans including “We hate ICE,” while remaining on school grounds under staff supervision. Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson delivered her first State of the City address on Tuesday, but what was supposed to be a defining moment for the newly elected leader quickly drew criticism after a rocky start marked by technical glitches and visible confusion.
Wilson, who has been in office for roughly six weeks, opened her remarks by greeting the audience and acknowledging the length of the speech ahead.
“Good morning. How are you all doing today? OK. Are you ready for this? I don’t think I’ve ever talked for as long as I’m about to talk, so we’ll see how it goes,” she said.
I’m trying to think of four words less appealing to me in American politics than “Eric Swalwell’s erotic poetry” and drawing a blank.
“Vice President Hunter Biden?” Kind of implausible, also kind of funny. “SCOUTUS Justice Judge Judy?” I mightn’t mind that, but also kind of outlandish. And I suppose I could just think of the grossest things possible and then attach candidate names to them, but that’s cheating.
“Eric Swalwell’s erotic poetry,” however, is unfortunately a very real thing. See, the representative is running for governor of California — and while Gavin Newsom has managed to tawdry up the office a bit, he still doesn’t rank up there with Swalwell, a man who’s been plausibly accused of having a sexual relationship with a Chinese spy, in terms of outright scumminess.
Stephen Colbert’s time as host of The Late Show is almost ending, but that’s not stopping him from lying. Colbert claims CBS refused to air an interview with Senate candidate James Talarico. Today’s show shines a light on the truth.
“The good news is that for people like Colbert…the stunt does not have to be rooted in truth to be successful, you just have to be lucky enough that people have moved on before the truth reveals itself. That’s what they were banking on,” Crowder said.
According to CNBC:
“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night called CBS’ denial of his claim that it blocked the broadcast of his interview with Texas state Rep. James Talarico “crap” — and urged the network and its parent, Paramount Skydance , to stand up to the “bullies” in the Trump administration.
The DOJ said Yaoning Sun had acted as an illegal agent “while serving as the campaign advisor for a political candidate who was elected to the city council of a Southern California city.”
A man with ties to the mayor of a Los Angeles County city has been sentenced to four years in prison for “acting as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China.”
The Department of Justice announced on February 10 that 65-year-old Yaoning “Mike” Sun, of Chino Hills, California had been sentenced to 48 months in federal prison, saying that Sun had acted as an illegal agent “while serving as the campaign advisor for a political candidate who was elected to the city council of a Southern California city.”
The terrorist assaults on ICE agents in the lawful commission of a Presidential order are decreasing, but hardly ending. Public schools run by insurrectionists have built children’s armies, taking them away from learning and into the frontlines of their insurrectionist war.
Senator Jim Banks (R-IN) has sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi, urging her to investigate the foreign funding of the terrorist operation. He wrote, “I urge you to investigate foreign influence behind anti-ICE activism. Progressive groups across the country are organizing protests, economic boycotts, and school walkouts to oppose immigration enforcement, they are inciting the obstruction of federal law.”
ED. NOTE: We support the rights of Americans to lawfully protest ICE action until it interferes with the lawful commission of a Presidential order. We do NOT support the use of children as political weapons whipped up into an anti-American frenzy by a treasonous class of Progmericans, the leftist public-school teachers.

Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) has called for a federal investigation into anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activist groups he says are being organized and funded by foreign entities, including agents of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
In a Wednesday letter to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi obtained by Breitbart News, Banks urged the Department of Justice (DOJ) to look into the growing “national and coordinated” network of radical leftists protesting ICE in events that often turn violent.
At this year’s Grammy Awards, pop artist Billie Eilish made national headlines not for her music, but for a political statement wrapped in an award acceptance speech.
After thanking her supporters and fellow artists, she added, “As grateful as I feel, I honestly don’t feel like I need to say anything, but that no one is illegal on stolen land.”
This comment echoed two familiar positions of modern, progressive left-wing ideology: first, that the United States should allow unrestricted immigration and, second, that Americans are living on land illegitimately taken from Native Americans.

Republican-controlled Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, and Wyoming are revising social studies curricula for K-12 public schools, promising voters accurate, non-leftist revisions.
Yet Iowa recently delivered new K-12 curricula that entrench rather than solve the nationwide crisis of fact-challenged, anti-American Marxists controlling publicly financed history instruction. Oklahoma is one public comment period away from a similar outcome. That public comment closes Wednesday.
There have been a number of videos posted with loud—and early—calls of submission. Eli Shepherd at RedState: A tweet making the rounds this week shows video of the Islamic call to prayer, the Adhan, echoing through New York City streets at dawn. Five in the morning. Amplified. Projected over neighborhoods that still carry the scars of September 11, 2001. That date is not ancient history. It is living memory…. The Adhan is not ambient background music. It is a declaration. The phrase “Allahu Akbar” means “God is greatest.” It is a theological claim. It is a call to submission. Practicing Muslims understand this. That is not controversial. That is simply fact. Now imagine living in lower Manhattan. Imagine hearing that broadcast before sunrise, rolling through concrete and glass, over a skyline where nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered in an attack carried out in the name of that same phrase. Context matters. Memory matters. And if that memory is ingrained in my mind, being in 6th grade and states away at the time, I can’t imagine where it sits for those in the city (Red State).
This is a mosque in New York.
They blast Islamic calls to prayer five times a day, the earliest one at 5 am.
This is what everyone has to wake up to!
On Monday, CBS’s Stephen Colbert alleged that the network forbade him from airing an interview with Texas Senate candidate James Talarico over concerns about a potential FCC equal time rule violation. On Tuesday, CBS denied the allegation and said The Late Show was not prohibited from airing the interview but gave Colbert advice on how equal time could be fulfilled, but The Late Show balked at the suggestions and opted to put the interview on YouTube instead. Later on Tuesday, Colbert declared that CBS’s lawyers know “damn well” that they approved every word he said.
Of the projected $3.3 billion surplus, approximately $569 million would be deposited into the state’s Climate Commitment Account.
On Monday, the Washington State House Democrats voted to raid $4 billion from the law enforcement and firefighter pension plan to cover their deficit caused by out-of-control spending. Democrats in the Washington State House of Representatives have approved House Bill 2034, authorizing the transfer of approximately $2.5 billion, with projections of up to $4 billion over time, from the Law Enforcement Officers’ and Fire Fighters’ (LEOFF) Plan 1 retirement system. The legislation passed on a 55–39 vote, with every Republican voting against it.
THE DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told CNN on Sunday that Democrats will fight “tooth and nail” against the House-passed SAVE America Act, an election integrity bill he likened to racial segregation.
During an appearance on “State of the Union with Jake Tapper and Dana Bash,” Schumer stressed his caucus will “not let” the legislation reach President Donald Trump’s desk and suggested Republicans only support it because they do not want poor people and minorities to vote.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he met with Democrat senators to discuss plans for ramping up “pressure” on Russia.
Zelensky confirmed that he met with Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI).
The meeting highlights the continued efforts from Democrats to influence Ukrainian leadership as the war with Russia drags on.
In a video included in a post on X, Blumenthal can be heard greeting Zelensky and expressing interest in further cooperation.
“I want to remember all those images of masked men, the secret police, something familiar in Germany.”
California Gavin Newsom cannot seem to make up his mind about what to call federal law enforcement. He compared federal agents to Nazis during an appearance in Munich on Saturday, but has recently backtracked on similar claims.
Newsom, who recently backtracked on a post from his press office that referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as “state sponsored terror” agents, has now claimed that federal law enforcement that was sent to California is like the Nazis.
According to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, the media covers the Trump administration “fairly and accurately.” If that were true, at least when it comes to her reporting, she would not tell such a blatant lie. This is proven by the fact that the media had zero relevance in the 2024 presidential election.
There are two things easily debunked in the video. First, it’s the claim that, at the very least, she believes she’s fair.
This is what she means when she claims she treats the president “fairly.”
Yeah, that was totally unbiased reporting….
Getting the opportunity to represent one’s country in the Olympics is an incredible honor for any athlete. Sadly, some of this year’s American competitors don’t seem to fully appreciate that point.
Throughout the first week of the 2026 Winter Olympics, several U.S. athletes have happily taken the bait from left-wing “journalists” seeking to get these Americans to trash their nation — and President Trump — on the world stage. Many of the comments thus far have specifically been focused on ICE and its efforts to deport foreign nationals illegally residing in the United States.
The Equal Protection Project has sent a Request to the Department of Justice calling for an investigation and possible enforcement action against Colorado’s Advancing Students for a Stronger Economy Tomorrow (ASSET) law, which, among other things, provides in-state tuition discounts to students illegally in the country while denying similar benefits to American citizens resident in other states.
Discrimination against American-born students has been a focus at EPP for a while. You may recall that in July 2025, after EPP complaints against five universities for DACA/”Undocumented” only scholarships, the Department of Education opened investigations and launched an initiative to address discrimination against Americans, creating a media firestorm:
If full-blown totalitarianism ever comes to the United States, liberal women will lead the way.
Indeed, the lengths to which liberal women will go in order to silence conservative voices call to mind George Orwell’s dystopian classic novel “Nineteen Eighty-Four.”
In a video posted to the social media platform X, a white-haired woman named Nancy Krause, whose voice dripped with characteristic liberal condescension, appeared at a school board meeting in Calvert County, Maryland, to declare that someone, presumably her, had called Child Protective Services on teens who started a chapter of Turning Point USA, the conservative student organization co-founded and led by the late Charlie Kirk.

Defend the 612 will instruct viewers of the Feb. 23 virtual “Jury Nullification Training” on how to use false jury verdicts to fight “unjust laws and political persecution,” according to an event description on its website first reported by Alpha News.
In one of the most insulting moves ever, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is introducing legislation to make the LGBTQ pride flag a congressionally authorized symbol, giving it the same federal protections as the U.S. flag, military flags, and POW/MIA flags.
In recent weeks, I have watched schools close not because of weather or emergencies, but to push students into anti-ICE protests. Administrators shuttered classrooms, stopped instruction, and mobilized students as pawns for far-left activism. The scandal is not that students have opinions. The scandal is that the same institutions that struggle to teach civics have no trouble organizing political demonstrations as they fail at their most basic job: education.
What makes this so frustrating is not simply the indoctrination aspect of this. It’s knowing how little the student body understands the Constitution, federalism, or even the basic role of law enforcement in a society governed by laws. Yet administrators direct these same students into political demonstrations for an issue they hardly understand.
