The Longshoremen’s Association has officially gone on strike, meaning over 45,000 members of their union will no longer be working to keep America’s ports flowing with trade. The union is asking for a 77 percent pay increase, in part to compensate them for working during Covid-19 shutdowns, but they’re only being offered a 58 percent pay increase. They also hope to have guarantees to protect them from automation.
In a viral video, the Union President, Harold Dagget, threatened to shut everything down, to “cripple” America if they don’t meet the union demands. The White House has been limited in its response to the strike, with one White House official only saying they were “in talks” with the opposing parties. The last time the union struck was in 1977.

Workers showed a statement from the ILA on the strike saying that employers have refused to compensate workers fairly.

RedState has been reporting that a strike was looming, and the dockworkers made good on their threats by walking off the job at 12:01 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday. The union foresaw a time in the not-so-distant future when robotics and AI would take over their profession, so they decided to double down and demand a significant increase in wages.
The ILA is reportedly asking for raises of $5 an hour, per year, which would be an immediate 12.8% pay hike on the current top pay of $39 an hour. Repeating that $5 an hour increase each year would result in raises totaling 77% during the life of the contract.
The union is also seeking a total ban on the use of automation in their industry.

Pennsylvania Auditor General Timothy DeFoor, a Republican, sent a letter Monday to PennDOT Secretary Michael Carroll and Neil Weaver, secretary of the Governor’s Office of Administration, informing them that the auditor’s office will be conducting a performance audit of the motor voter registration process.
The audit will look at the automatic voter registration system covering the period between Jan. 1 and June 30.
Specifically, it will look at the implementation of the program, its compliance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, and how it relates to the state election code. The audit will also “determine whether PennDOT’s Motor Voter interface files sent to the Pennsylvania Department of State properly excluded non-citizens.”

AB 2355 expands upon existing law and requires a committee that creates, publishes, and/or distributes some political advertising to add a “disclosure” noting when an ad has been “generated or substantially altered” using AI. The bill addresses “any image, audio, or video that is generated or substantially altered using artificial intelligence” that would give a reasonable person “a fundamentally different understanding of the altered media when comparing it to an unaltered version.”
AB 2839 also builds upon existing law that already prohibits people from knowingly distributing, with malice, election material containing “certain materially deceptive content.” Previous law required this statute to be enforced 60 days before an election. It will now be enforced 120 days before an election and, in certain cases, up to 60 days afterward.
In a statement, Newsom insisted these speech restrictions were necessary for the sake of democracy.

In a reportedly unsigned order, the Keystone State’s highest court affirmed a lower court ruling denying West’s bid for ballot access. In that ruling, Commonwealth Court Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer sided with the office of Secretary of State Al Schmidt “in rejecting West’s candidacy paperwork,” according to the Washington Examiner.
Schmidt’s office had argued that “the paperwork lacked the affidavits for 14 of the 19 presidential electors required by the Aug. 1 filing deadline,” according to the outlet.
Schmidt indicated prior to Monday’s decision that a final ruling on West’s case by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court would allow counties to begin printing ballots for the November contest. Schmidt is a self-professed “Republican” and was appointed by Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro.
“As soon as the court rules on that, we’ll certify the official list and then counties can complete their preparations to mail out ballots and to have voters, if they choose, go to a county election office to apply in person,” he reportedly said.
The Michigan Supreme Court has upheld Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s new restrictions on poll watchers.
In a divided ruling, the top court’s Democrat majority sided with Benson.
The court argues that Benson is acting within her authority as the chief election officer of the state to require poll watchers to communicate only with a designated “challenger liaison,” among other changes.
“Under the Michigan Election Law, the secretary of state is the chief election officer of Michigan,” Justice Kyra Harris Bolden wrote.
“The secretary has supervisory control over local election officials in the performance of their duties.”
The court also upheld rules requiring poll watchers to use a credential form provided by Benson.

Russia’s activities “are more sophisticated than in prior election cycles,” said a senior official with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in a briefing with reporters, noting the use of “authentic U.S. voices” to “launder” Russian government propaganda and spread socially divisive narratives through major social media, as well as on sham websites that pose as legitimate American media organizations.
Moscow is targeting U.S. swing states in particular, the official said, and using artificial intelligence to more quickly and convincingly create fake content to shape the outcome in favor of former president Donald Trump.

The widely used video platform YouTube removed Tenet Media and related channels from its services on Thursday after the Justice Department accused the company of partaking in a secret Russian influence operation.
The revelation comes days after the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) announced the seizure of nearly three dozen internet domains it alleged were used in “Russian government-directed foreign malign influence campaigns colloquially referred to as ‘Doppelganger,’ in violation of U.S. money laundering and criminal trademark laws.” According to Fox News, the unsealed indictment alleged a pair of Russian state media staffers had been covertly funding a Tennessee-based, American content creation company identified in reports as Tenet Media” and other shell companies with the goal of spreading what the DOJ classified as “Russian government propaganda.”
The indictment contended that Tenet Media “published nearly 2,000 videos to social media platforms such as X and YouTube, and failed to inform viewers it was financed by the Kremlin,” the report reads.
Right-wing influencers such as Dave Rubin, Tim Pool, and Benny Johnson are among those affiliated with the company. Many of these figures have since denied knowledge of the company’s alleged ties to Russia and proclaimed to be “victims” of Moscow’s purported influence operation.
DOJ alleges Russia funded US media company linked to right-wing social media stars
The unnamed Tennessee-based company that the Justice Department alleges was being funded by Russian operatives working as part of a Kremlin-orchestrated influence operation targeting the 2024 US election is Tenet Media, which is linked to right-wing commentators with millions of subscribers on YouTube and other social media platforms, according to a US official briefed on the matter.
The indictment unsealed in New York’s Southern District accused two employees of RT, the Kremlin’s media arm, of funneling nearly $10 million to an unidentified company, described only as “Company 1” in court documents.
CNN has independently confirmed that “Company 1” is Tenet Media, which is a platform for independent content creators. It is self-described as a “network of heterodox commentators that focus on Western political and cultural issues,” according to its website, which matches language contained in the newly unsealed indictment.

…On Wednesday, the United States Department of Justice issued a federal indictment which charges Kostiantyn Kalashnikov and Elena Afanasyeva with a scheme. The indictment says they created, in the words of their own editor, “an ‘entire empire of covert projects’ designed to shape public opinion in ‘Western audiences.’”
Kalashnikov and Afanasyeva work for RT, the indictment says. “RT, formerly known as ‘Russia Today,’ is a state-controlled media outlet funded and directed by the Government of Russia.” …
Who were the influencers? Tenet Media began in late 2023 with influencers Tim Pool, Benny Johnson, David Rubin, and Lauren Southern. The indictment indicates at least one of them was being paid $400,000 per month plus a $100,000 signing bonus by Tenet Media (via funding from RT). Federal officials do not believe the right-wing American social media influencers knew they were being paid through a front company by Russian agents.
“The company never disclosed to the influencers or to their millions of followers its ties to RT and the Russian government,” says Attorney General Merrick Garland.
YouTube takes down right-wing channels linked to DOJ Russia indictments
YouTube took down several right-wing politics channels that had been linked with allegations from the Justice Department that Russian government employees were paying right-wing influencers in the United States to produce content.
The Google-owned video site “terminated” Tenet Media and four other channels run by right-wing media entrepreneur Lauren Chen as part of the company’s “ongoing efforts to combat coordinated influence operations,” a YouTube spokesperson said in an emailed statement Thursday.
US targeting ‘legitimate journalism’ with RT sanctions – Scott Ritter
Former UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter has announced that the latest US sanctions imposed on RT mean he will be forced to end his work as a contributor to the Russian media outlet. Ritter insisted that his cooperation with RT has been nothing but “legitimate journalism.”
A former US Marine Corps major who also served as a UN weapons inspector in Iraq during the 1990s, Ritter came into the spotlight in 2003 when he opposed the US military operation against the Middle Eastern country. He argued that Saddam Hussein’s government did not possess weapons of mass destruction, despite Washington’s claims.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Ritter stressed that the content of his contributions for RT and several other sanctioned media outlets “has been factually correct and analytically sound, and always of my own creation.”
While condemning Washington’s decision as running counter to “constitutional norms and values,” Ritter noted that he is “fully committed to obeying US law, and as such will be terminating all contractual relationships with both RT and Sputnik effective immediately.”
Right-wing US influencers say they were victims of alleged Russian plot
Conservative US influencers say if the allegations are proven, they were deceived by Russian media executives following the release of an indictment charging Moscow with interfering in the 2024 US election.
The indictment accuses state broadcaster RT, formerly Russia Today, of paying a Tennessee firm $10m (£7.6m) to “create and distribute content to US audiences with hidden Russian government messaging”.
US media outlets identified the firm as Tenet Media, which describes itself as “network of heterodox commentators that focus on Western political and cultural issues”.
Tenet Media, which was not directly named in the indictment, was founded in 2022 by conservative Canadian YouTuber Lauren Chen and her husband Liam Donovan. Tenet has not commented publicly on the allegations and did not respond to a request for comment.
The network employs several well-known right-wing US influencers – such as Tim Pool, David Rubin and Benny Johnson – who say they are “victims” of the alleged plot if it is proven.
Feds in Philly disrupt Russian-backed propaganda effort aimed at influencing U.S. presidential vote
Federal authorities in Philadelphia announced on Wednesday the dismantling of a wide-ranging, Russian-backed misinformation network targeting voters in Pennsylvania and five other swing states ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
The network — known colloquially as “Doppelganger” and which prosecutors said was run by a top aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin — sought to dupe Americans in key demographics into believing Kremlin-produced propaganda it spread online had been produced by legitimate American news outlets.
The campaign also sought to enlist the aid of unwitting influencers in America and other countries to spread disinformation, sow social media discord, and advance the campaign of former President Donald Trump, whom the program’s backers viewed as more supportive of Russian interests.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics released a report that shows new jobs reported between March of 2023 and March of 2024 were overreported by 818,000 jobs. This means nearly 1/3 of the total amount of jobs the Biden/Harris administration claims to have made during this time, 2.9 million total jobs, just disappeared, or were really never there at all.
The Biden-Harris administration admitted on Wednesday that more than 800,000 of the jobs it claimed to have created last year don’t exist.
An annual revision by the Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that the U.S. economy added 818,000 fewer jobs from March 2023 to March 2024 than originally reported. According to CNBC, “the actual job growth was nearly 30% less than the initially reported 2.9 million from April 2023 through March of this year.”
“The revision to the total payrolls level of -0.5% is the largest since 2009,” the report reads.
This review of Wednesday’s figures found that “[a]t the sector level, the biggest downward revision” came in “professional and business service,” in which “job growth was 358,000 less than initially reported.” The manufacturing; trade (including retail positions), transportation and utilities; and leisure and hospitality sectors also saw downward revisions.
Wednesday’s revisions are not an anomaly, however. The Biden-Harris administration has regularly overestimated job growth in recent years, only to later revise those totals downward in the months that followed.
Last year, for example, “the government … overestimated the job growth for the 12-month period ending March 2023 by 306,000,” according to Forbes. A December 2022 analysis by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia estimated that the administration overstated the number of jobs created during that year’s second quarter by more than one million, The National Desk reported.
Kamala Harris’ Lead Vanishes, Hit Hard by New Polls as Trump’s Momentum Takes Over
New polling shows that Vice President Kamala Harris’ slight lead over former President Donald Trump in battleground states has evaporated, despite nearly a solid month of positive media coverage since entering the race.
Previous polling by the Cook Political Report published last week had Harris ahead of Trump in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to Axios.
Similarly a New York Times/Siena College poll, also released last week, found Harris with a slight lead in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
However, a newer survey conducted by Navigator Research published Tuesday shows the race is essentially tied across Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Broken down individually, Trump is ahead of Harris by one percentage point in Arizona (46 to 45 percent) and two points in Pennsylvania (46 to 44 percent), while the other three states are tied.
Trump Says He Would Be Open To A Cabinet Position For RFK Jr. Amidst Endorsement Rumors
Former President Donald Trump told reporters that he would be open to offering independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a spot in his cabinet if he suspends his campaign and endorses the former president.
“I like him, I respect him,” Trump told CNN’s Kristen Holmes during a campaign stop in Michigan.
“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” the Republican presidential nominee added. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”
Trump’s comments come after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, revealed during a podcast appearance Tuesday that Kennedy is considering an exit. The campaign is currently debating whether to stay in the race, or suspend operations and endorse former President Trump.
“There’s two options that we’re looking at,” Shanahan said. One option would involve staying in the race in order to lay the groundwork for another bid in 2028, “or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump,” Shanahan explained.
Georgia Election Board Puts Dent in Democrat Plans to Cheat in Elections
The Georgia State Election Board has implemented a reform that will make it a little bit harder for Democrats to cheat in this year’s elections.
The SEB adopted a new rule that would limit the number of votes in each district to the number of actually registered voters that area has in the system. So, the number of ballots would have to be the same or fewer than the number of voters.
The rule ensures that counties comply with Georgia state code. It comes after Fulton County was found to have likely scanned thousands of ballots twice in a recount of the 2020 election.
“The purpose of the rule is to ensure that county superintendents and boards of elections follow the required procedures and can uniformly, properly, and lawfully fulfill their duties, and reconcile the number of ballots to the number of voters so that certification of election results accurately reflects the will of the voters in every county,” the rule reads.
“The rule is built on basic, kindergarten math,” Election Integrity Network Founder Cleta Mitchell said Monday. “Count the number of voters, confirm that the number of voters match the number of ballots. Those numbers should match and should be the same as the number of votes tabulated. The duty for election officials to certify CORRECT results is required under the statute. The rule just makes sure it happens in every county.”
While some delegates refused to select the Democrat Party’s handpicked nominee, Kamala Harris, in protest over their support for the antisemitic death cult, Hamas, the rest of the delegates got in line and “chose” Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s nominee. She accomplished this without receiving a single primary vote from the Democrat voters. The ratings reached new lows, seeing a decrease in 22 percent from the 2016 DNC. The acceptance speech was short and vague, as would be expected from what many are calling a DEI hire.
The tone of the convention was anti-Trump, with little offered in the way of policy, probably because their policies are hardly popular, outside of their commitment to keep the murdering of unborn children legal. They did offer the shadow of a Nazi slogan, “strength through joy,” though they didn’t say the full phrase, they only demonstrated in their constant use of the word “joy” to describe their political activism.
Biden was pushed aside, given a late night slot in which he chose to spread the terroristic lie that Donald Trump called Nazis “fine people,” while Kamala Harris repeated the lie that Donald Trump will follow the Heritage Foundation’s Agenda 2025. Most of the speakers spread fear and hate in an effort to scare Americans to vote for them to protect them against demons that are either not real or ones created by them.
DNC Posts Lackluster Ratings, Down 22 Percent From 2016
Ratings for night one of the Democratic National Convention were slightly up from 2020, though overall ratings remain down significantly since 2016.
The first night of the DNC drew an average of 20.3 million viewers Monday, ranking slightly higher than the opening night of the Republican National Convention, which took place just days after former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated.
Monday night’s coverage also served as President Biden’s farewell address to the party after he announced he would be suspending his re-election campaign, giving the first night an added draw over the RNC.
Nielson ratings account for coverage from ABC (2.8 million), CBS (2 million), NBC (1.8 million), Scripps News, Univision, CNN (3.2 million), CNNe, Fox Business, Fox News Channel (2.4 million), MSNBC (4.6 million), Newsmax, NewsNation, and PBS. The numbers account for viewers tuning in between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Central Time.
The numbers are likely higher for both conventions, as Nielson ratings do not factor in significant numbers of online and live-streaming viewers.
Even the Media Is Flipping Out About the Total Dysfunction at the DNC
The Democratic National Convention is so typical of Democrats. They want to tell you it’s about “joy.”
But meanwhile, behind the scenes and frankly spilling out in front of the scenes are protests, backstabbing, drama, division, and complete dysfunction. These are the folks who want your vote, but they can’t even put on a simple event without it being a complete mess.
We’ve reported on some of the mess already, including things running late on Monday night, so that Joe Biden’s address was pushed back until very late in the evening.
But it turns out there’s even more of a mess than that — even basic things like just getting the mechanics right.

The kinks are still being worked out at the Democratic National Convention as things kick off on Monday in Chicago. In a sign of how badly the party is underperforming, the party’s national platform was displayed for all to see still listing President Joe Biden as the nominee.
A screenshot of the platform was grabbed and shared widely online where observers noted President Biden was listed as the nominee throughout the multi-page document. The platform traditionally plays host to shared policy statements, goals, and values for both the Republican and Democratic Parties and are adopted or revamped during presidential elections. Delegates on the floor at this week’s Democratic convention are expected to endorse motions including expanded protections for transgender Americans and calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war. Embarrassing oversights list Biden as the party’s champion on cancer research, infrastructure investments, and increases taxes on corporations.
Democrats’ 2024 Platform Seeks To Eliminate Due Process Protections For College Students
The Democrat’s 2024 platform promises to remove constitutional due process protections for college students after the Trump administration ensured them.
In a section about President Joe Biden purportedly protecting women, the platform said Biden had “restor[ed] and strengthen[ed] protections under Title IX, including explicit protections for LGBTQI+ students,” even though those “protections” have been blocked by the Supreme Court.
Title IX is a federal statute that prohibits entities that receive public funding from discriminating based on sex.
Before the Supreme Court stepped in, 26 states had blocked the rules from going into effect.
Democrat Platform Full Of Delusions About Who Are The Bad Guys
Asking Kamala Harris and Democrats to fix the mess they’ve made over the past few years is kind of like asking Agent Orange to cure non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

An economy rigged for the rich and powerful, or where everyone has a fair shot at getting ahead? Will we lower the temperature in our politics and come together, or treat each other as enemies instead?” the overture to this insane leftist opera asks.
DNC’s unrevised platform allows Kamala Harris to ‘stay vague,’ hide policy from American people: CNN
On CNN, hosts discussed how with the Democratic platform still having many mentions of President Joe Biden along with policy positions, Kamala Harris can “stay vague” about the specifics of her policy agenda going into the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
The comments came from Jake Tapper, who said that having Biden mentioned would leave policies for Harris “vague” and “unspecific,” and allowed the campaign to place blame on Biden.
Tapper during CNN’s coverage of the first day of the DNC said, “President Biden dropped out of the race a month and a day ago. You wouldn’t know that if you read the Democratic platform because it repeatedly refers to President Biden’s second term.” The platform refers to Biden’s second term around 19 times.
CNN’s David Chalian responded, telling others on the panel, “The idea of reopening the platform to try to fit in not yet fully developed Kamala Harris policies, while they were quickly changing, they thought they would be opening a can of worms, right? And that there would be all of a sudden some fights about what goes in the platform and they wanted to avoid that at all costs.” He added that the Democrats were willing to take the hit on the platform not being updated.
‘Squad’ Members Rally Around Uncommitted Delegates Staging DNC Sit-In Over Lack of Speaker Slot
CHICAGO—Several members of the left-wing “Squad,” including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), joined uncommitted Democratic National Convention delegates who staged a sit-in outside the United Center over the party’s denial of their request for a speaking slot.
Omar and Rep. Summer Lee (D., Pa.) sat with the delegates near the north entrance to the United Center, where vice presidential nominee Tim Walz spoke Wednesday evening. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) called in to endorse the demonstration, and Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.) and Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) expressed solidarity.

Tim Walz Bashes JD Vance for Going to Yale — After Following Long List of Yale Speakers
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz bashed rival Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) for attending Yale — after Walz followed a long list of Yale- and Ivy-League-educated speakers at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday.
“I grew up in Butte, Nebraska. A town of 400 people,” Walz said, continuing: “I had 24 kids in my high school class. And none of them went to Yale.”
Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, has frequently attacked Vance, the Republican nominee for the position, as if he were an elitist for going to Yale, despite the fact that Vance grew up in poverty in rural America.

Joe Biden Uses ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax in DNC Farewell Speech
President Joe Biden invoked the “very fine people hoax” in his farewell address to the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, using a proven lie, once more, that has been repeatedly debunked, to his face.
The hoax claims that President Donald Trump referred to neo-Nazis who rioted in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 as “very fine people.” In fact, as the transcript of his remarks shows, Trump condemned them “totally.”
Biden used the hoax to launch his campaign in April 2019. Breitbart News confronted him directly in August 2019 with the evidence that Trump had, in fact, condemned the neo-Nazis. Biden denied it and repeated the hoax again.
Since then, the hoax has been debunked, repeatedly — including, most recently, by the left-leaning Snopes website.
Former President Trump debunked the hoax during his recent debate with Biden; former Vice President Mike Pence did so during his 2020 debate with then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA); it was debunked on national television during Trump’s second impeachment trial.
Yet Biden has continued to repeat the lie, almost verbatim — although he has recently added the claim that the Ku Klux Klan paraded “without hoods” because they saw an ally in Trump.
Biden Goes Off-Script in DNC Speech to Appease Pro-Hamas Agitators
As his administration seeks to negotiate an end to the war in Gaza, President Joe Biden slipped a shout-out to anti-Israel protesters into his Monday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.
The convention has been besieged by pro-Hamas protesters who want progressive Vice President Kamala Harris, the party’s nominee, to drag the party further to the left in its rejection of Israel.
On Monday night, Biden said he feels their pain.
“We’re working around the clock, my Secretary of State, to prevent a wider war and reunite hostages with their families and surge humanitarian health and food assistance into Gaza now, to end the civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally, finally, finally deliver a ceasefire and end this war,” Biden said in a clip of his speech posted to X.
“The protesters on the street have a point.”

Joe Biden’s mention of the Israel/Hamas war during his DNC speech proved again that except for the first month and a half after October 7, Biden has never been pro-Israel. Amazingly, despite his advanced dementia, he remembered the Democratic rule of talking about Israel. Omitting or bending facts, half-truths, or even lying in an attempt to seem fair but actually trying to promote an anti-Israel position.
Allow me to explain. This President Lame Duck said to the Democratic Party convention on August 19. Well, not exactly. His loving party allowed him to start his speech at 11:30 EDT and end it on August 20.
Per “The Lid” tradition, the black type is Biden’s speech, and the red words are my comments, which are responses to particular phrases in Biden’s speech (those phrases are in bold). It is presented as a response to Joe even though he is not a big reader of The Lid.

DNC Gives a Hilarious Excuse for Running Late and Delaying Biden’s Speech, but No One Is Buying It
As I wrote earlier, I don’t know what they were thinking when they made the schedule for the speakers on Day 1 of the DNC. It ran far too long, with folks like Sen. Raphael Warnock going on and on, and the program running very late. Joe Biden, who was supposed to be the featured speaker of the night, in what was supposed to be something of a wrap up of his 50 years in government was forty minutes late as a consequence. He was supposed to go on at 10:50 p.m. ET, he didn’t go on until about 11:30 p.m.
But the excuse the DNC released to explain why Biden was pushed to such a late time was just ridiculous.

Biden Seen Crying During DNC Walkout as Kamala Harris Will Soon Replace Him
In case you missed a lot of what happened at the Democratic National Convention on Monday, don’t worry. Our president probably did, too.
The one difference between you and Joseph Robinette Biden, however, is the fact that the latter was giving the biggest speech of the DNC’s first night. It was predictably Bidenesque.
It’s telling, in fact, that Biden got shafted with the Monday slot, which is where everyone who the Democrats simply had to make time for — in spite of the fact they likely didn’t want to — was given center stage.
In addition to Biden fulfilling his job as the ghost of election failures present, the ghost of election failures past — Hillary Rodham Clinton, the 2016 Democratic standard-bearer — also spoke.
So did several far-left politicians. Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, Reps. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Mayor Brandon Johnson of Chicago, where the convention is being held, also got time on the program for Monday.
Kamala Harris and Walz skipped Obama’s DNC speech reportedly to avoid Biden’s anger over backstabbing
President Joe Biden said he had no ill will toward those who helped oust him from his re-election campaign, but there may be real anger behind the scenes, according to a report.
‘We are in tricky territory.’
A source familiar with the situation between the Harris-Walz campaign and Biden told Fox News that Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz skipped former President Barack Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention to ease Biden’s anger.
“[The] Obamas are still not on the White House good side. It would not be helpful to their relationships,” the source said.
“We are in tricky territory,” the source added.
Instead of attending Obama’s speech, Harris and Walz were a hundred miles away at a rally in Milwaukee. Their absence helped defuse Biden’s anger by avoiding the optics of the presidential candidates standing on a stage next to the man who led the crusade against Biden.

Michelle Obama Voices Support for Childhood Transgenderism at DNC
Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared to voice support for childhood transgenderism at the Democratic National Convention, accusing former President Donald Trump of “demonizing” children “for being who they are” during her speech.
Obama, who made it her mission during her husband’s tenure to promote healthy lifestyles to children, used her Tuesday night keynote address to say that it is “unpresidential” to speak out against childhood sex changes.
After calling Trump “misogynistic” and “racist,” the former first lady began listing things that do not “make anybody’s life better.”
“…Because gutting our health care, taking away our freedom to control our bodies, the freedom to become a mother through IVF, like I did-those things are not going to improve the health outcomes of our wives, mothers, and daughters,” Obama told the crowd.
“Shutting down the Department of Education, banning our books-none of that will prepare our kids for the future…Demonizing our children for being who they are and loving who they love–look, that doesn’t make anybody’s life better,” she argued.
Former President Barack Obama got some burns in, too, at Tuesday’s Democratic National Convention.
“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago,” Obama said.
“It has been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually been getting worse,” he continued. “The other day, I heard someone compare Trump to the neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day. Now, from a neighbor, that’s exhausting. From a president, it’s just dangerous.”
Trump’s “a guy whose act has, let’s face it, gotten pretty stale,” Obama said. “We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse.”
“America is ready for a new chapter. America is ready for a better story. We are ready for a President Kamala Harris.”
Despite the Clintons’ complicated political and personal histories, the pair are refinding their footing and stepping up as Democratic Party elders.

“The momentum that’s being built in the Democratic Party right now can’t be stopped,” Pearson told the Washington Examiner Wednesday outside state delegation breakfasts at a downtown hotel. “I also believe that we have to have the wisdom of the elders and young people’s energy. I think we need to have a combination of folks who have helped to build this party over time, and also people who are rising and growing and learning now.”
Christian leaders condemn free abortion bus by Democratic National Convention
Christian leaders have strongly condemned Planned Parenthood after it deployed a mobile clinic offering free medical abortions and vasectomies, as the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicked off in Chicago. The mobile health unit was stationed just a block away from the convention site, providing these services free of charge on August 19-20.
Promoting the event on social media, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers announced: “Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with [the Chicago Abortion Fund] & [the Wieners Circle], providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion.” The group later confirmed that all available slots had been filled due to overwhelming demand.

A bunch of unhinged leftists descended onto the streets in Chicago, as they dressed up as the abortion pill to protest the DNC. However, it’s unclear why they would need to protest the party that is dedicated to abortion all day every day, but a UID attended, too.
The abortion crazies were spotted as part of the larger pro-Palestine protest, because all of a sudden, reproductive justice is also justice for Hamas, as these people couldn’t prove to be more naive if they tried.
Firstly, there are way more masks than there are brain cells. Secondly, don’t you think that the fact that Planned Parenthood offering free abortions at the DNC is enough for these people to be satisfied? It’s not like there’s one single Dem who would try and stand in the way of that.
Thirdly, why do these people always look like that? Do they really think they are saving so much water that monthly showers aren’t even a thought for them?
Additionally, it’s unclear what they think they will accomplish for the people in Gaza, but it’s clear that they have no clue they would be arrested there for acting so foolishly.
DNC 2024: Protests begin calmy third night, after 56 arrests made night prior
More than 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters marched Wednesday past a park where pro-Israel demonstrators had gathered earlier and toward the arena hosting the third night of the Democratic National Convention.
The demonstration, which stayed largely peaceful, came a day after violent clashes between police and protesters led to 56 arrests.
As marchers passed under a new elevated train station near the United Center that was completed just before the DNC, officers were seen bringing a person to the ground on the platform above. In response, hundreds of protesters pushed against the edge of the station, banging on the glass with their hands and flag poles as they called on police to free the person. The person left through the station’s emergency exit moments later, accompanied by officers but not in handcuffs, prompting cheers from the crowd.
The crowds of pro-Palestinian protesters included many families and people of different faiths. Some kids ate popsicles as they walked, and others were pushed in strollers or rode in wagons. Small groups of Muslims gathered in prayer at a park just ahead of the march’s kickoff, using keffiyeh as prayer rugs. Rabbis were among the leaders of the march, and a small group marched through in the crowd holding a sign that said “Christians for Ceasefire.”
Buses had picked up families and students from area mosques to bring them to the demonstration, including residents of Chicago’s southwest suburbs, which have one of the largest concentrations of Palestinians in the country.
Dozens arrested after pro-Palestinian, anti-DNC protesters clash with CPD
Dozens of people were arrested after clashing with police at an un-permitted protest outside the Israeli Consulate Tuesday night.
The National Lawyers Guild Chicago said at least 72 people were arrested during that protest, while Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling said 56 people, including three journalists, were arrested, after refusing to follow multiple dispersal orders.
Thirty were cited for disorderly conduct – breach of peace, 13 were cited for disorderly conduct – failing to obey a lawful order to disperse, one person was cited for disorderly conduct – failing to obey police and three were cited for resisting police, Chicago police said.
Nine others were charged with misdemeanors.
Twenty two of those arrested are from out of town. Many are from the west coast, according to CPD.
They were brought to Area 3 headquarters, where police have slowly been releasing those arrested one by one Wednesday.

Pro-Palestinian agitators and police clashed outside Chicago’s Israeli consulate on Tuesday as the Democratic National Convention was underway in nearby United Center. The agitators set an American flag outside the consulate and attacked journalist Ben Bergquam when he attempted to remove the flag from the flames.
One person with a microphone was heard telling the crowd as the flag burned on the ground, “This is what we think of your f*cking flag.”
Lines of riot police and agitators were seen clashing outside the consulate.
Multiple arrests have been made as agitators attempted to make their way through the police line, Julio Rosas documented it for The Blaze. Arrests continued to be made throughout the evening.
Anti-Israel Protesters Disrupt Colbert’s DNC Interview With Pelosi
In yet another example highlighting that the 2024 Democrat National Convention began as a disaster, then went downhill from there, CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert’s live interview with Nancy Pelosi was repeatedly interrupted by anti-Israel agitators, leading the host to plead: “Please don’t interrupt my guest.”
As Pelosi answered Colbert’s question about her reported involvement in the veritable coup that forced Joe Biden to drop out of the race, shouting from the audience could clearly be heard — and it continued throughout the interview.
To Colbert’s credit, he immediately responded to the demonstrators: “For the people who can’t tell, there’s a protest going on in the audience.” And that protest was aimed directly at Pelosi.
Colbert tried to quiet the disturbance at a commercial break, as he then turned to the use of U.S. power overseas.
Let’s talk about another aspect of power: the U.S. using its power overseas. As I said earlier, there is a political protester here. There is a political convention in town, you are a politician and protests are natural. People are protesting, even within the Democratic Party, there is dissension over what is the proper use of American power, especially our protected power overseas, both firm and soft power. If the goal is the peaceful and prosperous future for both Israelis and Palestinians, what role does the United States play?

DNC bumped James Taylor due to speech overruns, despite him rehearsing, performing a soundcheck Monday in Chicago
James Taylor was bumped at the DNC last night, and while reports emerged that speeches ran long and there was just no room for the aging folkster, it almost seemed intentional, a message that the old guard, their leaders in both politics and culture, were out for good.
“Veteran singer-songwriter James Taylor, who was slated to perform, got bumped for time as the night ran long. We’ll never know for certain whether he would have matched Kid Rock’s energy,” NPR writes, referencing the energy of the RNC and the performers that graced that stage.
Taylor’s only performance on the Chicago stage on Monday was during a sound check, where he played his iconic “You’ve Got a Friend.” It was scheduled to be sung between speeches given by Biden’s daughter Ashley and wife Jill in the lead up to Biden’s exit speech. It would have been a soft reminder that Biden, the elder statesman, was leaving the party he’d been part of for his enture career, stretching back to the 1970s and Taylor’s own heyday, and led for the past four years.

In a moment that was supposed to be all about unity and pride, things didn’t go entirely according to plan when New Jersey’s Governor Phil Murphy was spotlighted at the DNC convention with Dr. Joeigh Perella, a transgender advocate and recent candidate for Cumberland County Commissioner.
Perella, who introduced herself confidently with her pronouns (“she/her”), was all set to make a bold statement in support of the LGBTQ+ community. After all, standing alongside big names like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz is no small feat!
“My name is Dr. Joeigh Perella, pronouns she/her. I’m a proud resident of the Garden State,” she began, earning nods of approval from the virtual audience.
The long-gone “woke” Church of England further signaled to God and the world their rebellion from God by announcing plans to strike the word “church” from their vocabulary, as “church” is not reflective of “modern audiences” or “the new normal.” One Vicar, Dr. Giles Fraser, is suggesting the word “church” be replaced with “new things.”
The Church of England has apparently joined the pronoun movement. Of course, none of this should come as a surprise to anyone, but it is still a shame. According to a report in the Telegraph, the Church has decided to stop using the word “church” in order to be more modern. I don’t know what word they will use. Lodge? Club? Association? The Loyal Order of Water Buffalos?
By all indications, the church is keeping its official moniker as “The Church of England.” That is understandable; that is a lot of letterhead to throw out and logos to redesign. From a cost-benefit standpoint, it makes sense. But going forward, churches will be referred to as “communities.”
According to a study by the Centre for Church Planting Theology and Research, an examination of six of eleven dioceses in the Anglican Communion, churches are increasingly dropping the word when exploring the idea of creating new congregations. They are also known as churches, by the way.
When discussing new “church plants,” which is a fairly common practice in the U.S., none of the 900 of the new churches started by the Church of England used the word “church plant.”
The report’s author, Rev Dr. Will Foulger, vicar of St Nicholas in Durham, found that six of the 11 dioceses used the language of “worship” in their main descriptor of new church projects, two used “congregation,” and seven used “community.”
In a gesture that seems as meaningful as yelling at clouds, the House Judiciary Committee released its report on the investigation into whether President Joe Biden should face impeachment charges or not. The facts speak for themselves, and Democrats can no longer stretch the truth to cover for President Biden.

US President Joe Biden took a swipe at Republican nominee Donald Trump in his first interview since dropping out of the race
US President Joe Biden has said he doubts that power will be transferred peacefully in January 2025, after the November presidential election, whether it is won by a Democrat or Republican.
Biden made the statement to CBS News on Wednesday in his first interview since dropping out of the race in July, answering the journalist’s question on whether he thought there would be a peaceful transfer of power.
“If Trump wins, no I’m not confident at all. If Trump loses, I’m not confident at all,” Biden replied.
The US president lamented that the public was not taking Trump’s past comments about a “bloodbath” seriously.
“He means what he says. We don’t take him seriously. He means it. All the stuff about ‘If we lose, there’ll be a bloodbath, it’ll have been a stolen election,’” he said, adding that “you can’t love your country only when you win.”

If you listen to U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the real insurrection will be led by Democrats and it will begin on Jan. 6, 2025 — should the American people dare to elect former President Donald Trump president again.
In a video clip making the rounds Monday on social media, the far left firebrand laments what he characterizes as a lazy U.S. Supreme Court interfering with the Democratic Party’s plan to interfere with the 2024 election.
“And so [the court] want to kick it to Congress, so it’s going to be up to us on Jan. 6, 2025 to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he’s disqualified,” Raskin said in a panel discussion on Feb. 17, as the Supreme Court was mulling the constitutionality of the leftist Colorado secretary of state’s use of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to remove Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot.
“And then we need bodyguards for everybody and civil war conditions all because nine justices — not all of them, but these justices who have not many cases to look at every year, not much work to do, have a huge staff, great protection — simply do not want to do their job and interpret what the great 14th Amendment means,” Raskin declared at a Washington, D.C. bookstore gathering of self-important leftists.

Congressman Jamie Raskin has (D-MD) been caught on tape detailing a controversial plan to prevent former President Donald Trump from assuming the presidency, even if he is selected by American voters. The video captured Raskin discussing what he sees as a constitutional mechanism to disqualify Trump.

Tim Walz (D-MN), the two-term governor of Minnesota, was a shot across the bow that this election cycle is going to be a get-out-the-base election rather than the coalition builder Democrats would have enjoyed if she had chosen Gov. Mike Mikus, a Pennsylvania-based Democratic strategist, said this race will look very similar to the election cycle we saw with former President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection race rather than his 2008 race. In 2008, Obama ran an aspirational race with a message of “Hope and Change” that attracted a sizable amount of working-class “New Deal Democrats” to his coalition; in 2012, he shed those voters in favor of delivering the new base of Democrats called the ascendant coalition that had a heavy focus on minorities, suburban college-educated women, and young people.
As a result of that pitch to the leftward party “base,” Obama became the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to lose voters in his reelection while still winning overall — but as a unique candidate, he was able to pull that base election off.
The next Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton in 2016, was not successful with that shift left. The former first lady, who was less likable and trusted than Obama, fell short because many of those legacy New Deal Democrats had now folded long-term into the Republican Party. Joe Biden was able to bring just enough of them back in 2020, in large part because of the pandemic, but polling leading up to this cycle before the president dropped out of the running in July showed these voters’ disappointment in his left-wing governance.
This has already been a weird election cycle, and no, I’m not talking about anything JD Vance said about cat ladies. It’s the Democrats that are behaving strangely, even for them – and given that they have been maintaining a Weekend at Bernie’s presidency for almost four years, keeping befuddled old Joe Biden in place, insisting he was “sharp as a tack” and “on his game” until they couldn’t hide the fact any longer that His Dessicatedness has lost it. So now they have anointed Joe’s life insurance policy, Kamala Harris, Queen of the Word Salad. And as RedState informed you, she has picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her VP.

Battle of the Midwest running mates: Tim Walz vs. JD Vance
Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as her running mate on Tuesday sets up a Midwestern showdown against Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), former President Donald Trump’s running mate.
Democrats were already rallying around Walz to join the Harris ticket, given his upbeat personality during media interviews as he attacked Trump, Vance, and the rest of the GOP as “weird,” a phrase that is relatable to non-politicos.
“There’s a lot of folks excited about him. I think he’s just a good-natured human being, and I think the party is kind of cherishing that,” said Michael Ceraso, a Democratic strategist. “And I would argue J.D. does come off more contrarian, way more contrarian than Gov. Walz.”

When the Black Lives Matter militants rioted in his cities over George Floyd’s death, Walz waited days to call in the National Guard. After the riots, Walz admitted that he failed at handling the riots.
A new poll published Tuesday asked respondents if they were familiar with Walz and his record.
The new NPR/PBS News, Marist National poll reviewed by The Hill found that over 70 percent of respondents said that they did not know enough about Walz to have an opinion on him.
In the findings, 71 percent did not know enough about Walz to form an opinion on him. On the contrary, 17 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of him and 12 percent of respondents viewed him unfavorably.
The same survey found that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shaprio and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly are better known among respondents.

The 60-year-old served 24 years in the Army National Guard, where he reached the rank of command sergeant major.
The Newsweek account included praise from retired Army Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, who wrote on X that those who reach that rank “know what they’re doing.”

Walz apparently fudged details of service in Army National Guard, prompting accusations of ‘stolen valor’
Tim Walz, the far-left Democrat governor of Minnesota who was just selected to be border czar Kamala Harris’ running mate in 2024, apparently misrepresented details regarding his re-enlistment in the Army National Guard, prompting at least one of his former colleagues in Southern Minnesota’s First Battalion-125th Field Artillery to accuse him of engaging in “stolen valor.”
Now 60, Walz joined the Army National Guard more than 40 years ago, when he was 17 years old. He then put in 20 years of service and retired.
‘What the hell kind of leadership is that?’
Shortly after his retirement, the terrorist attacks of September 11 happened, and Walz re-enlisted just weeks later. In April 2005, he was promoted to the rank of command sergeant major before retiring again the following month and launching an ultimately successful campaign for Congress.
That’s when aspects of his story become dicey.
For one thing, sometime in early 2005, Walz and other members of his battalion received word that they would be deployed to Iraq soon. Walz, the highest noncommissioned officer in the unit, then abruptly retired in May, leaving the unit without a designated leader.

“On May 16th, 2005, [Walz] quit, betraying his country, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war,” retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr wrote on Facebook in 2018. Walz was preparing for his first congressional campaign in 2005 when he retired.
Herr and Behrends say Walz promised his unit he would join them in Iraq before backing out. The two retired command sergeants say that Walz could have asked the Pentagon for permission to run for office while on active duty. Instead, he chose to quit.
Van Jones Says Harris Picked Walz To Appease ‘Anti-Jewish Bigots,’ Caving to ‘Darker Parts in the Party’
Democratic strategist Van Jones on Tuesday said Vice President Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate to appease “anti-Jewish bigots” and the “darker parts” in the Democratic Party.
“You can be for the Palestinians without being an anti-Jewish bigot, but there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there. And there has to be conversations about how much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party,” Jones said during a CNN interview Tuesday, shortly after Harris announced Walz will join her on the Democratic ticket.
Josh Shapiro, governor of key swing state Pennsylvania, had been widely seen as the favorite to become the Democratic VP candidate but came under scrutiny by progressive Democrats for his Jewish background and support for Israel in the war against Hamas.
Jones said that picking Walz over Shapiro helps Harris reach many young Democrats, especially Muslims and Arabs, who “have not felt seen by the Biden administration” and called the president “Genocide Joe” for providing military support to Israel.
“But you also have anti-Semitism that has gotten marbled into this [Democratic] Party,” Jones added.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) said before Harris announced her pick that it was “very noticeable” and “deeply concerning” that “the only Jewish candidate is getting excruciating, very specific scrutiny, particularly around his positions on Israel.”

Vance, whom former President Donald Trump tapped as his running mate last month, spoke to reporters shortly after Walz was announced as Harris’s pick. He said that he had called Walz to congratulate him, and had left a voice mail.

Minnesota Democrats took control of the state legislature in 2023 and quickly passed a series of radical pro-abortion bills. One repealed a state law that required medical providers to provide medical care for newborns who survive abortions and report the situation to authorities.
Reports are indicating Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her running mate — a choice one of America’s leading pro-life organizations says represents the “most pro-abortion Democratic ticket yet.”

Minnesota governor Tim Walz, who was named Kamala Harris’s vice presidential pick on Tuesday, pushed to close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp and move its terrorist captives into holding facilities in the United States. His position put him to the left of other prominent Minnesota Democrats like Amy Klobuchar, but Gitmo, Walz said, is a “serious obstacle to peace in the Middle East.”
As a House member representing Minnesota’s First Congressional District, Walz voted against a 2009 measure that would have barred the federal government from shutting down Gitmo and relocating terrorists housed there to American cities. Walz railed against the U.S. detention camp as an obstacle to peace in the Middle East. He also argued that Minnesota’s criminal justice facilities could “handle” housing Gitmo terrorists.
“Walz said he thinks the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay is a serious obstacle to peace in the Middle East,” MPR News reported in June 2009, shortly after Walz returned from a “fact-finding trip to the Middle East.”
“Walz said Guantanamo should be closed, and the detainees there should be dealt with appropriately. He said that could include care at the Federal Medical Center in Rochester,” a federal prison in Minnesota for inmates who require long-term medical care.

(LifeSiteNews) — Kamala Harris’s pick to be her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is an aggressive leftist who since taking office has instituted a program to bribe teens with $200 VISA cards to take the COVID-19 jab while also offering a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship; signed an executive order making Minnesota a sanctuary for gender transitions; and signed into law a “right” to unlimited abortion putting the North Star State on par with the likes of North Korea according to pro-life leaders.
In 2021, Walz announced that teens in his state who get their first COVID shot before November 30 were eligible to receive a $200 VISA gift card.
The program, aimed at 12–17-year-olds, is titled “Kids Deserve a Shot,” also includes a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship to attend a public or private Minnesota college.
The governor’s attempt at bribery was aimed at persuading kids who were otherwise disinclined to do so to take the COVID-19 jab which had already shown to have heightened risks for young people.
Without mentioning the documented risks, Walz encouraged young people via social media to go ahead and get vaccinated.
“Minnesota teens: Not only are you eligible to get vaccinated, but starting today, you can also get $200 AND a shot at a $100,000 college scholarship,” shouted a tweet from Walz.
“Tell your friends and head to [the Minnesota vaccine rewards website],” he urged.
VP Pick Tim Walz Supports Biden-Harris’s Big 3 Gun Control Policies
Democrat Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz wants the three central gun controls that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have spent years pushing in Washington, DC.
Those controls–an “assault weapons” ban, universal background checks, and red flag laws–have been pushed time and again by Biden and/or Harris at every opportunity, including those in which the gun controls had absolutely nothing to do with the events that led to their mention.
For example, the Detroit Free Pressnoted that Biden responded to the February 13, 2023, Michigan State shooting by pushing an “assault weapons” ban and universal background checks, among other controls. However, the Michigan State shooter used handguns, not an “assault weapon,” and acquired his handguns “legally,” so no additional point-of-sale background check would have hindered him.
Most recently, Harris, in her first campaign stop after Biden announced he would not seek reelection, told a Milwaukee audience, “We’ll finally pass red flag laws, universal background checks, and an ‘assault weapons’ ban.”

Data reporter Steve Kornacki said Tuesday that Walz may not be able to move the needle in key states as the Democrats’ vice-presidential nominee.
Vice President Harris announced Tuesday morning she chose Walz to be her running mate.
Harris passed over Pennsylvania’s Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro.
During an appearance on “Ana Cabrera Reports,” Kornacki said that Walz’s 2022 re-election win was similar to how Democrat President Joe Biden carried Minnesota in 2020.
“When you look at what Tim Walz actually pulled off to get elected, to get re-elected in 2022, it’s the Biden model, demographically, regionally,” Kornacki told host Ana Cabrera.
“You go county by county, there’s not much variance between how Walz did and how Biden did.
“Walz ran up huge numbers, look at this, this is the biggest county in the state, Hennepin County, Minneapolis here.
“Walz ran up huge numbers, Biden ran up huge numbers.
“Now go into greater Minnesota, let’s take a look at, like, Stearns County here,” Kornacki continued.
“Look, Walz lost this by 23 points.
“What did Biden lose it by? 23 points.
“And this is the kind of county, by the way, in Minnesota and across the Midwest here, that Democrats are hoping Walz will help them with,” Kornacki warned.

Kamala Harris finally got around to picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate after all the confusion and drama that Democrats were putting out there on the issue.
They decided not to go with the more moderate, pro-Israel Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, likely caving to their antisemitic left. But in that choice perhaps to hold onto the left and maybe Michigan, they may have just given away the state they really need — Pennsylvania — that they pretty much have to have to win, given the current estimates.
This choice may not go over well in the other Rust Belt states. They picked a guy who compared socialism to neighborliness and talked dismissively about the red states as being full of “rocks and cows.”

There’s been a lot of reaction to Kamala Harris’s selection of Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) as her running mate, and one of my favorites comes from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who destroyed Tim Walz and his abysmal record as governor of Minnesota.
“We all remember the [Black Lives Matter] riots of 2020 in Minneapolis,” he said during a press conference in Steinhatchee, Fla., on Tuesday morning. “Those were riots that Harris egged on and raised money to bail out the rioters with the Minnesota bail fund. And they were riots that Tim Waltz, as governor, sat back and let happen. He sat back and let the city of Minneapolis burn. That city has been gutted as a result of those riots. We would never allow that to happen in the state of Florida. So this is a ticket that really represents the spirit of those 2020 BLM riots.”
DeSantis continued, “And you have a very vapid San Francisco Democrat, and then you’ve got an Ilhan Omar-style leftist, Tim Walz, who has the same policies as his fellow Minnesotan, Ilhan Omar.We do not need an America that represents the failed policies of San Francisco or the failed policies of Minneapolis.We do not need to see poop on the street and cities burning down.That is not a prescription for America to work its way back.And I can just tell you, as governor of Florida, particularly in that 2020–2021 period, people fled those jurisdictions.And they’d come to Florida, and they would tell me about the mismanagement, and about letting the inmates run the asylum and how that just destroyed the quality of life.And so I think it was in that period, you were five times more likely to move from Minnesota to Florida than vice versa, and that’s a result of people fleeing those failed policies.”
Mike Johnson Reacts to Walz Pick, Calls Out Democrats’ ‘Pro-Palestinian, in Some Cases Pro-Hamas Wing’
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is the latest to call out the blatant discrimination in the Democrat party, saying that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro was overlooked as a potential choice to become Democrat presidential hopeful Kamala Harris’ running mate because of his Jewish heritage.
Johnson sat down for an interview with The Hill shortly after it was announced that Kamala had chosen leftist Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be on her ticket. Johnson said the Keystone State governor would have been the “stronger choice”:
“I think that [Shapiro’s faith] clearly was a major factor, is that she was reluctant to put a vice presidential nominee on the ticket with Jewish heritage because they’re having a split in the Democratic Party,” Johnson said. “They have a pro-Palestinian, in some cases pro-Hamas wing of the Democratic Party.”
“Sadly for Josh Shapiro, because of his heritage, I think that is the reason he was overlooked,” Johnson added.
Johnson is far from the only one calling out the distorted values in the Democrat party; my colleague Mike Miller wrote earlier about CNN pundit Van Jones, who is anything but a conservative, calling out “anti-Jewish” bigots:

But there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there and there’s some disquiet now and there has to be. How much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party?
While Vice President Kamala Harris seemed to endorse the outcome of the Venezuelan election, which officials claim show Maduro winning with 51 percent of the vote to opposition candidate Edmundo Gonzalez’ 44 percent.
So far, official U.S. communication has cast doubt on the result, with other countries, including neighbors Argentina and Peru, outright denying the results altogether. As of this writing, Venezuela remains in flux as protests continue to increase in number and size, starting in Caracas, the capital, and spreading to many other parts of the country.
Nicolás Maduro’s claim of victory in Venezuela’s presidential election has brought the South American country to a hazardous standoff, with his thwarted opponents accusing him of rigging the election to remain in power, and many leaders in the region and beyond questioning the veracity and transparency of the vote.
Sunday’s results, which followed an election described by independent observers as the most arbitrary in recent years – even by the standards of the authoritarian regime founded by Maduro’s mentor and predecessor, Hugo Chávez – appeared to have dashed opposition hopes of ending a quarter of a century of chavista rule and economic turmoil.
After a six-hour delay in releasing the results prompted international concern, the government-controlled electoral authority claimed Maduro had won with 51.21% of votes compared with 44.2% for his rival, the former diplomat Edmundo González Urrutia.
The council said that with about 80% of votes counted, Maduro had secured more than 5m compared with González’s 4.4m. Authorities delayed releasing the results from each of Venezuela’s 30,000 polling stations, saying only that they would be released in the “coming hours”.

The renewed instability brought divided international reaction: the United States said Maduro’s reelection had no credibility and was mulling more sanctions, while China and Russia congratulated him.
Protests began after the election board declared on Monday that Maduro had won a third term with 51% of votes to extend his “Chavista” movement’s quarter-century rule.
The opposition, which considers the election body in the pockets of a dictatorial government, said the 73% of vote tallies to which it has access showed its candidate Edmundo Gonzalez had more than twice as many votes as Maduro.
Venezuela opposition party Voluntad Popular said on Tuesday on X that its national coordinator Freddy Superlano had been detained.
Nicolás Maduro has been declared as the winner in Venezuela’s presidential election, even as his opponents were preparing to dispute the results.
That decision sets up a high-stakes showdown that will determine whether the South American nation transitions away from one party rule.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, the National Electoral Council said Maduro secured 51% of the vote, overcoming the main opposition candidate, Edmundo González, who garnered 44%.
However, the electoral authority, which is controlled by Maduro loyalists, didn’t immediately release the tallies from each of the 30,000 polling booths nationwide – hampering the opposition’s ability to challenge the results after claiming it had data for only 30% of the ballot boxes.
Both Venezuela’s President Nicolás Maduro and his political opponent claimed victory in the country’s election on Monday, a vote that was marked by accusations of fraud and counting irregularities.
With 80% of votes counted, Maduro secured more than 51% of the vote, beating the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD) candidate Edmundo González Urrutia with his more than 44% of the vote, according to a statement by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
The United States and multiple global leaders voiced skepticism about official results handing presidential election victory to the strongman leader.
Claims of election irregularities started to emerge on Sunday evening as the votes were being counted — including opposition witnesses being denied access to the CNE headquarters as the authority counted votes, and the CNE allegedly halting data being sent from local polling stations to their central location to prevent more votes from being processed…
Opposition leader María Corina Machado said in a news conference that their own records showed their candidate Edmundo González Urrutia had received 70% of the vote against Maduro’s 30%.
“We won, and everyone knows it,” Machado said, adding that the opposition would “defend the truth.”
“The entire international community knows what happened in Venezuela and how people voted for change,” she said.
Gonzalez, who was also at the news conference, alleged that rules had been violated during the election.
The National Electoral Council said at around midnight that Maduro received 51% of the vote, while the main opposition candidate, Edmundo González, had 44% support, according to The Associated Press.
Elvis Amoroso, head of the National Electoral Council, said the results were based on 80% of voting stations and represented an irreversible trend.
Despite Maduro being declared the winner of a third term, the opposition claimed victory, setting up a showdown with the government over the results.
While admitting that Venezuela still faces “challenges,” Harris vowed U.S. backing for “the people of Venezuela who expressed their voice in today’s historic presidential election.” Someone needs to tell the cackling Communist that the election expresses the will of the socialist government in Venezuela, not the people it tyrannizes — unless she is too dumb to realize she was being complimentary, which, of course, is always an option.
Harris did not mention Maduro by name in her statement but did pretend that the election results were true indicators of democratically exercised opinions from Venezuelans. Harris posted on July 28, “The United States stands with the people of Venezuela who expressed their voice in today’s historic presidential election. The will of the Venezuelan people must be respected. Despite the many challenges, we will continue to work toward a more democratic, prosperous, and secure future for the people of Venezuela.”
Venezuela’s National Electoral Council reported that Maduro had secured 51% of the votes, while his main challenger Emundo González received 44%. This means Maduro will remain in power for the next six years, having already held the position for the previous 11.
The announcement was first rejected by Maria Corina Machado, leader of the opposition, who had been prevented from participating in the elections and endorsed González, the candidate registered by a coalition of opposition parties led by her.
“We want to tell all Venezuelans and the rest of the world that Venezuela has a new president, and he is Edmundo González Urrutia,” Machado declared.
She stated that González’s landslide victory showed that the people had decided to end 25 years of government under the so-called Chavismo, which was established in 1999 by Hugo Chávez, the predecessor and political mentor of Nicolás Maduro.
“This has been so overwhelming, so significant, that we have won in all sectors, strata, and states of the country,” said Machado. “Venezuelans and the whole world know what happened,” added González.
CARACAS, Venezuela — The United States and several Latin American countries cast doubt Monday on President Nicolás Maduro’s reelection on Sundayas opposition leaders collected what some said was evidence of a brazen electoral fraud…

Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Panama, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay also issued calls for a transparent count of the votes by independent observers.
Meanwhile, Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, Bolivia and Honduras — all allies of Maduro — congratulated him.
TOKYO — U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the United States has ‘serious concerns’ about the announced result of Venezuela’s hotly contested presidential election that authorities say was won by incumbent Nicolas Maduro.
Speaking in Tokyo on Monday shortly after the announcement was made, Blinken said the U.S. was concerned that the result reflected neither the will nor the votes of the Venezuelan people. He called for election officials to publish the full results transparently and immediately and said the U.S. and the international community would respond accordingly.
“We have seen the announcement just a short while ago by the Venezuelan Electoral Commission,” he said. “We have serious concerns that the result announced does not reflect the will or the votes of the Venezuelan people.”
“It’s critical that every vote be counted fairly and transparently that the electoral authorities immediately share information with the opposition and independent observers without delay and that the electoral authorities publish the tabulation of votes. The international community is watching this very closely and will respond accordingly,” Blinken said.

The Biden administration was on the defensive Monday over its policy bet that elections in Venezuela would dislodge strongman Nicolás Maduro, a day after he was declared the winner in presidential elections despite several irregularities and polls indicating his defeat. In a call with reporters, senior administration officials fielded questions about what the United States would do next and whether the Biden administration’s negotiations with Maduro, which included lifting some oil sanctions and releasing prisoners, had failed to deliver democratic change in the South American country.

RFK Jr.’s Secret Service protection ends after suspended campaign
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who suspended his third-party presidential bid last week and endorsed former President Donald Trump, has lost his Secret Service protection following the decision to leave the race, his campaign said.
“Mr. Kennedy no longer has USSS,” Stefanie Spear, Kennedy’s press secretary, told CBS News.
In remarks in Phoenix on Friday, Kennedy said he was backing Trump because he could see no viable path to the White House. And although he said he wasn’t “terminating” his campaign — remaining on the ballot in some noncompetitive states — he pledged to remove his name from states where he could be a spoiler. Kennedy was on the ballot in more than 20 states when he suspended his White House bid.
President Biden directed the Secret Service to afford protection to Kennedy after the assassination attempt against Trump in July. Kennedy’s campaign had long requested the protection for the independent presidential candidate — an issue that was especially acute for Kennedy, whose father and uncle were assassinated in the 1960s.

The Republican ticket sees North Carolina as pivotal for the election, according to local political analysts.
The state as a whole is already important: The UVA Center recently moved the state from Republican to a toss-up this week. It now joins a list of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona and Nevada: states that will “almost certainly” decide who wins the race, experts said.
In 2020, Trump won Randolph County by 78%.

The complete videos, acquired via a right-to-know request earlier this month, were posted Wednesday, Aug. 21 with editing only done to blur graphic scenes and remove foul language in the audio.
The 12 videos were released by the local police department on Aug. 8. Some of the videos were blurred prior to their release to the Eagle.

The hope is to trick the willing-to-be-tricked that the political violence witnessed is the fault of the man who was shot, which is comparable to blaming a rape victim for being raped because “she was asking for it.”
Al Jazeera, a representative of an Islamist ideology that seeks to destroy the American republic, echoes the same type of careful language to assure no sympathy is garnered for the enemy they share with the Progmerican left, Donald J Trump.
Mother Jones took two shots at titling the news event, and both times show their allegiance with the shooter, and their blind hatred of the former President.

Trump rally gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks used encrypted messaging accounts on various platforms located in Belgium, New Zealand and Germany, according to a member of a congressional task force investigating his assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump.
Rep. Michael Waltz (R-Fla.), one of 13 lawmakers tapped to serve on the House bipartisan task force, told reporters at a Wednesday press conference at the Trump Hotel Chicago that the “overseas accounts” piqued his suspicion immediately regarding the shooter’s motives.”
“Why does a 19-year-old kid who is a health care aid need encrypted platforms not even based in the United States, but based abroad – where most terrorist organizations know it is harder for our law enforcement to get into?” asked Waltz.
Attempted Trump assassin Thomas Crooks trained at same gun range used by DHS
Attempted Trump assassin Thomas Crooks practiced shooting at his preferred gun range the day before the Department of Homeland Security conducted a training there — just two months before he opened fire at the former president’s rally.
Crooks, 20, visited the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club in Pennsylvania on May 22 around 3:10 p.m., where he practiced alone at the rifle range, according to a club logbook obtained by Sen. Chuck Grassley’s (R-IA) office.
The very next day, beginning at noon, DHS conducted a “police training” at the range with at least three people, club records show.
Clairton’s rifle range where Crooks would have practiced is 200 yards long — more than enough space for him to practice the 150-yard shot he would take at Trump on July 13, wounding the former president and killing a bystander.
It is unclear whether DHS regularly held trainings there, or if the May 23 visit was an uncommon occurrence.
The plot continues to thicken regarding Thomas Crooks:
Matthew Crooks is interested in guns and has sold firearms to family members in the past, the source told the Mail. “The FBI still very much has questions about how much they knew and how [Thomas Crooks] slipped through the net,” the individual said.
Quinn Logue specializes in both criminal and civil law, including wrongful death and personal injury, according to its website.
Crooks attempted to assassinate Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13. The 20-year-old, who shot Trump in the ear, also killed attendee Corey Comperatore and injured two others. Crooks was shot dead by a sniper at the scene.
The FBI is still investigating how Crooks was able to carry out the shooting from a rooftop near the rally stage. The FBI briefed Trump on their investigation earlier this month, revealing that they still don’t have a clear motive, ABC News reported. However, Crooks may have targetted Trump just because he was the next big-name politician to come to Pennsylvania.

However, it’s clear from congressional hearings — and the details that have emerged from FBI briefings with lawmakers — that investigators still have no satisfying answers for why Crooks targeted Trump.

Crooks’ parents have been keeping to themselves since the shooting, which neighbors said was pretty much par for the course even before the events at the Trump rally in Butler.
Rep. Mike Waltz Who Is Investigating Trump Assassination Attempt Reveals Thomas Crooks Acted With Help From Foreign Entity
Republican Rep. Mike Waltz told the Daily Mail that Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old accused of trying to assassinate former President Donald Trump, might not have acted alone.
The Congressional task force’s ongoing investigation has raised significant concerns about possible foreign involvement in the attack.
Rep. Waltz stressed that the motivations behind Crooks’ actions are still uncertain, hinting that a foreign entity or another third party might be involved.
“I don’t understand, and I don’t have any answers yet to help me understand how the [Secret] Service and DHS came out so quickly and said – and I think the FBI as well, but I’ll have to check that – and said, he operated alone,” Waltz told Daily Mail at Trump Tower in Chicago on Wednesday.
Waltz told The Post Wednesday that he does not believe the agencies have been able to dig up enough information on the 20-year-old gunman to determine for certain that he did not have help planning and carrying out the shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, last month.
“We’ve heard both the Secret Service and the FBI kind of phrase it in different ways — that everything they’ve seen he acted alone and that they have yet to find any co-conspirator,” Waltz (R-Fla.) told The Post in an exclusive interview following an FBI briefing Wednesday.

As more details emerge about the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the situation is looking increasingly troubling for the Secret Service.

The day before the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, a tactical team of local police officers set aside radios for their Secret Service partners so the two agencies could communicate during the former president’s July 13 campaign rally.
But those radios were never picked up….
Standing over the gunman’s dead body minutes later, a local police officer who responded to the initial warning expressed frustration that his own radio calls about a man on the roof seemed to go unheeded by the other officers.
“That’s what I was f**king calling out bro, f**king ‘On top of the roof,’” the officer said, according to body camera footage. “We’re not – we on the same frequency?”…
Details about the forgotten radios were included in a recent report from Rep. Clay Higgins, a Louisiana Republican member of the congressional task force investigating the events of that day. Higgins claims that a county emergency services commander had “personally reminded” Secret Service counter-sniper teams to pick up their assigned radios at a command post located at the Butler County Fairgrounds. “It didn’t happen,” according to Higgins’ report.
That detail was confirmed to CNN by Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger.
“I can confirm that the Butler County ESU team made radios available to the Secret Service and that they were not utilized by the Secret Service,” Goldinger said in a statement. While it’s unclear if Secret Service would have gotten the warning about a man on the roof had they picked up the radios, Goldinger said, “It is safe to assume that if a holder of an ESU radio was paying attention, they would have received the call.”
Sen Johnson: FBI ‘Dragging Feet’ on Trump Assassination Probe
The Secret Service and FBI are “basically dragging their feet” on the Senate bipartisan probe into the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, Sen. Ron Johnson told Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures.”
The Wisconsin Republican, who is part of the bipartisan investigation, said the agencies are “stonewalling us.”
“We have gotten some transcribed interviews, but the documents we request are heavily redacted [and] they’re delivered the day of the interview,” he said, explaining that this means that they can’t really even “be used to conduct the interviews effectively.”

Mountain States Legal Foundation, (MSLF) a Colorado-based organization, says it is looking into how the controversial policy may have led to security being dangerously lax at Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Thomas Matthew Crooks managed to scale the roof of a nearby building and fire off eight shots with one bullet grazing the right ear of the former commander-in-chief. One attendee, Corey Comperatore, was fatally struck, while two others were also hit and suffered serious injuries in an event that could have plunged the nation into a political crisis.
MSLF says its investigation is examining how DEI impacted the elite agency’s hiring, retention, and promotion. Critics of DEI say the policy elevates those of a certain sex or ethnicity over those who may be more qualified, thus the best person for a particular job may not get the role, thereby lowering standards overall.
Secret Service Records Reveal DEI Is Prioritized for All Agency Employees in ‘Every Action, Every Day’
Judicial Watch announced today it received 311 pagesof U.S. Secret Service (USSS) records that show the Secret Service has made it a top priority that “diversity and inclusion is not just ‘talked about’ – but demonstrated by all employees through ‘Every Action, Every Day.’” [Emphasis in original]
The records show the Secret Service, which is part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), demands that 12 percent of its workforce be composed of “persons with disabilities,” and that it is the policy of the Secret Service to provide equal employment opportunity without regard to such non-merit factors as “disability (physical or mental).”
Judicial Watch obtained the records in a FOIA lawsuit against DHS for records relating to an incident in April at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland in which a Secret Service agent assigned to protect Vice President Kamala Harris got into a scuffle with colleagues(Judicial Watch v. Department of Homeland Security(No. 1:24-cv-01705)).
According to an April 24 report by the Washington Examiner, a Secret Service agent was removed from her duties after physically attacking the commanding agent in charge and other agents who tried to subdue her.
Holt, Shaffer to Newsmax: Secret Service Failures Go Beyond DEI
Americans deserve a thorough federal investigation into the Secret Service security failures that led up to the shooting of former President Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania last month, retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt told Newsmax, Friday.
In an appearance on “The Chris Salcedo Show,” Holt and retired Army Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer discussed whether the problems were the result of incompetence related to diversity, equity, and inclusion policies or something more sinister.
Shaffer said Rep. Mike Waltz, R-Fla., attended a Trump rally in Virginia a few weeks before the July 13 assassination attempt, and at that event, “they had layers of overlapping and continuous security-controlled corridors for people to move, and nobody was allowed to wander around. So then, yeah, how is it that even with DEI in mind, they go from an efficient, well-organized, well-wired machine to like, Oh, did we forget to check that building? So, no, this goes beyond DEI.”

The accusation came after the FBI denied Judicial Watch’s request for records on the July 13 Pennsylvania rally at which Donald J. Trump was shot by Thomas Matthew Crooks.
Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the FBI on July 26, seeking documents, emails, presentations, and other data regarding the FBI’s coordination with the U.S. Secret Service in preparation for the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, at which Trump was shot in the ear. The request covered the time period from June 15 to present.
The FBI cited FOIA exemption 7A, which allows withholding of information that “would deprive a person of a right to a fair trial or an impartial adjudication.” It did not elaborate or provide context for use of this exemption.

Former President Trump took the stage in Butler, Pennsylvania, several minutes after the Secret Service first began tracking the former president’s attempted assassin, and Trump’s team was none too happy about it.
Those in Trump’s orbit said the former president’s security detail became enraged after learning they were not told for 30 minutes about a suspicious subject carrying a range finder around the perimeter of Trump’s July 13 rally, according to The Washington Post. That suspicious subject turned out to be Thomas Matthew Crooks, the former president’s 20-year-old attempted assassin.
Trump took the stage in Butler shortly after 6 p.m., according to reports. Meanwhile, local officers had first spotted Crooks between 5:45 p.m. and 5:55 p.m., the Post’s timeline of events indicates. Once spotted, local law enforcement verbally communicated the threat to Secret Service agents, but the threat was reportedly never shared with Trump’s team. Trump’s team was also reportedly never told that local law enforcement counter-snipers lost track of Crooks at one point.

The video clearly shows an individual jumping across multiple roofs near the former president’s Pennsylvania rally prior to the assassination attempt, which resulted in Trump being shot in the ear, a retired fire chief being killed, and two other rally attendees being seriously injured.

Secret Service Pittsburgh employees placed on administrative leave: report
Several members of the U.S. Secret Service Pittsburgh Field Office have reportedly been placed on administrative leave following the July 13 assassination attempt against former President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Anthony Guglielmi, USSS chief of communications, told Fox News Digital in a statement that the agency’s personnel are held “to the highest professional standards, and any identified and substantiated violations of policy will be investigated by the Office of Professional Responsibility for potential disciplinary action.”
USSS did not directly confirm any employees placed on leave, but Guglielmi added that given the “personal” nature of the matter, the agency is “not in a position to comment further.”
What we know about why 5 Secret Service agents got new duties after Trump assassination attempt
At least five Secret Service agents have been placed on modified duty after the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump in July, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
They include the special agent in charge of the Pittsburgh field office and three other agents assigned to that office, which was responsible for the security planning ahead of the July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, according to the law enforcement official who had direct knowledge of the matter. One of the five agents was assigned to Trump’s protective detail, the official said.
The official was not authorized to publicly disclose details of the personnel investigation and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.
The agents are on administrative leave, meaning they cannot do investigative or protective work.
Fox News reported that a different group of Secret Service agents assigned specifically to Trump’s security detail remains operational. Trump avoided serious injury from the shooting.
But as shocking as it is to see a former Secret Service director need the protection of her own former agency, it’s much less surprising when one considers the overall threat environment facing those whom Trump loyalists perceive as a danger to him — or them. After all, we learned earlier this week that the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who oversaw Trump’s New York hush money trial, and her business partner have each been subjected to death threats and harassment, and that law enforcement has advised the daughter and her family to leave their home for their own safety.
Further, in an interview with my NBC News colleague Ken Dilanian last month, Attorney General Merrick Garland noted that the Justice Department has brought 400 cases over the last two years alone dealing with threats against federal and state judges, federal and state prosecutors, federal and state legislators, and federal, state and local law enforcement officers. Of course, those are just the cases federal law enforcement has brought, not the totality of the threats.

Why it matters: Last month’s assassination attempt at an outdoor rally in the rural western Pennsylvania city has been panned as one of the most glaring security lapses in decades, leading to former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle‘s resignation and numerous federal and congressional probes.
Driving the news: Trump said in an interview with billionaire Elon Musk on X earlier this month that he intends to come back to Butler to finish his speech.
Butler County Commissioner Leslie Osche shared concerns about how the visit “will place additional stress on law enforcement and the community.”
Local officials are calling for better coordination with the Secret Service should Trump return, including a unified command post, Adams Township Sgt. Ed Lenz told the outlets.

He called the media “truly embarrassing” and a “disgrace” to the country and hypocritical for calling Republicans a threat to democracy while not holding Harris accountable over her record.
“They seem to be able to run roughshod over all of those things, but again, that’s nothing new,” he said. “They called everyone in the world a fascist, and yet, they’re the ones that want to jail their political opposition. They’re the ones that want to censor and silence them. They are the ones that, you know, ultimately caused an assassination attempt of the leading candidate of the opposition party.”

Early polls are mixed, with some showing Kamala taking an early, though small, lead, while others show Trump extended the lead he had over Biden.
Without earning a single vote cast by the American public, Vice President Kamala Harris won enough support from Democratic delegates to secure her party’s presidential nomination less than 48 hours after her octogenarian boss dropped out of the race.
Over 2,660 delegates said they back the former California attorney general, pushing her way over the 1,976 votes needed to clinch the nomination, an Associated Press survey found. No other potential candidates were named in the survey as an alternative to Harris.
Since Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris, his VP has gained support from other notable congressional Democrats and party leaders, including former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Biden ally Rep. Jim Clyburn (D., S.C.), former president Bill Clinton, and his wife, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who ran to be the first female president against Donald Trump in 2016. George Clooney, who wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that called on Biden to leave the race, also endorsed Harris.
Democratic delegates immediately began gathering support for the vice president following Biden’s announcement. Just hours after Biden ended his reelection campaign, Democratic National Committee members circulated a letter pushing their support for Harris as the next presidential nominee.
Although we’re still in the early stages of the so-called “Kamala Harris campaign,” initial polling would suggest President Trump does as well, if not better, in a head-to-head contest against the vice president as he did against Joe Biden.
As it stands, Kamala Harris’ poll numbers are abysmal. She currently polls as the most unpopular vice president since the advent of modern polling. Her 32 percent net favorability (compared with a 49% unfavorability rating) is lower than both Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney, the architect of the universally despised Iraq War.
A recent poll by HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a nine-point lead over Harris, 50% to 41%, higher than the lead that same poll gave him over Biden, 48% to 40%. When broken down by demographic group, the 45th President’s numbers look even more promising: HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a +15-point advantage over Harris among Independents, 48% to 33%, and a staggering +19-point lead, 58% to 39%, among voters between the ages of 18 and 34.

NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg was there as well as newly seated UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who also just approved UK weapons being used to strike deeper into Russia than it had previously allowed before. Biden stated “We know Putin won’t stop at Ukraine. But make no mistake — Ukraine can and will stop Putin. Especially with our full, collective support. They have our full support.”
The move is equivalent to Mexico joining an Iranian-Hamas-Russian alliance. It makes Ukraine a permanent existential threat so long as it continues to exist. It also appears to be an announcement that Ukraine is effectively a vassal state of NATO, a globalist fiefdom in the nearly openly transparently sense of the term. It is yet another dramatic escalation of the showdown in Ukraine.

The summit declaration, signed by all 32 NATO nations, offers some of the strongest language yet about the organization’s intent to eventually include Ukraine in its membership.
Ukraine and its protection are a central part of this year’s NATO summit in Washington, D.C., hosted by President Biden. The declaration, which encompasses NATO’s beliefs and goals, says Ukraine “has become increasingly interoperable and politically integrated with the alliance.”
A shocking poll from the National Public Opinion Reference Survey (NPORS) shows for the first time since the poll has been conducted individuals under 30 identity as Republicans 47 percent of the time, while 46 percent identify as Democrats.
NY Times’ Political Analyst Nate Cohn said of the findings “NPORS found the GOP ahead on leaned party ID among 18 to 29 year olds, even though the sample was Biden+20 on 2020 recall vote. The sample size is fairly large (n=496) and it hasn’t shown anything like this in previous cycles.”
This age group has been the first to go through the full-on woke version of higher education, as well as the first group to enter into a woke-governing workforce. In a surprising twist, the demographic once firmly considered to be in the Democrat Party’s camp has now gravitated to the right. According to new polling, the youth are no longer ridin’ with Biden, to the point where more of them are favoring voting in Republicans than Democrats.
As reported by Newsweek, the National Public Opinion Reference Survey (NPORS) published by Pew Research found that people under 30 are abandoning the Democrat Party and have given Republicans a very slim lead in their demographic:
The NPORS found that, among all respondents, 47 percent said they were Republican or leaned Republican, while 46 percent said they were Democrats or leaned toward the Democrats.
The poll was conducted from February 1 to June 10 among 5,626 U.S. adults.
Analysts were quick to point to the detailed figures regarding party affiliation among young people.
“By subgroup, the headline is age,” The New York Times’ chief political analyst Nate Cohn wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

It looks like Japan’s preparation for a potential war with China is going to include high-tech destroyers equipped with railguns and lasers. The destroyers are being developed by Japan’s Ministry of Defense’s Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency. They are receiving some technical assistance from Germany, France, and the U.S.
Japan’s military development in the last 10 years has been decidedly ramped up from previous decades where their non-aggression constitution prevented them from expanding as they have of late. It is in the best interests of those that wish to keep China in check to aid in the continuation of that increasingly militaristic trend.
Any hope of a one-superpower-reality with China on top is sure to be checked not just by the U.S., but by Japan as well, a growing power militarily that by herself might soon have the capacity to meet any expansionist threat from China.

Japan’s 13DDX Destroyers: Pioneering Railgun Technology for Future Warfare
It is no secret that Japan produces gizmos and gadgets on a scale not seen in the West. While its consumer products, from robot dogs to micro washing machines, may stand out to those who visit the Asian nation, military analysts are now watching another technology that Tokyo has gone all in on—namely, railguns, which could be employed on the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s (JMSDF) new class of destroyers.
International military analyst firm Janes reported that the JMSDF has begun to determine if it could acquire a new class of warships—the 13DDX future destroyer—that would be equipped with “electromagnetic (EM) railguns and high-powered lasers.”
The 13DDX was reportedly developed by Japan’s Ministry of Defense’s (MoD) Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA), and in addition to being armed with railguns and lasers, the future destroyers could be further equipped with other types of directed energy weapons (DEW) systems, which could be coupled with a multifunction radar platform. The system could be optimized to counter high-speed targets—and while not explicitly stated that could likely include hypersonic weapons.
Railguns: Big in Japan
As previously reported, Tokyo has been engaged in developing a railgun since 2015, with the aim of being able to stop incoming missiles—including the aforementioned hypersonic missiles—that could be fired at the island nation. The goal of the program has been to mount such a weapon on a warship to add greater flexibility to the system, and a 2016 demonstration of a railgun had a projectile reach a speed of approximately 4,470 mph, or 5.8 times the speed of sound.
On paper, the system offers great promise, but railguns have numerous hurdles to clear, particularly the energy required for the weapon to operate as advertised. The basic technology already exists, which includes a very large power source, a pair of parallel rails, and a moving armature. The concept itself is rather simple, but the basic problem has been one of obtaining enough power to actually launch a projectile in a controlled and reliable manner.
A railgun could require millions of amps to create a magnetic field required to launch the projectile.
Tokyo has already realized it probably can’t go it alone, and in May, the ATLA announced it had struck an agreement with French and German authorities to co-develop the technology that could lead to the successful employment of the platform. The French Ministry of Armed Forces, the German Ministry of Defense, and the French-German Research Institute of Saint-Louis (ISL) are among the entities that could work with ATLA on the future development of railguns.
Tokyo Looking to Washington
It was also in May that ATLA announced it had sent officials to Washington to glean additional insight from the United States Navy, which has also worked toward the development of a railgun.
The U.S. Navy invested upward of $500 million into its electromagnetic railgun (EMRG) program, which had a goal to develop a weapon that was capable of firing projectiles at hypersonic speeds of 4,500mph or more. Because of the high speed, mass, and kinetic energy, the projectile wouldn’t even need to contain explosives to inflict damage. However, after hundreds of millions of dollars were invested over a decade, the sea service effectively scuttled its efforts to develop the technology in 2021.

(LifeSiteNews) – The Delta Hospice Society (DHS), one of Canada’s only fully pro-life hospices, is actively seeking patients in the healthcare system so that one of its “Guardian Angels” can be assigned to them to ensure they are not “pressured” into state-sponsored euthanasia.
“Our launch of Guardian Angels is now at the point where we need clients,” DHS president Angelina Ireland told LifeSiteNews. “We are looking for patients inside the healthcare system who would like an Angel, those within hospital, hospice, long-term care, palliative care wards, or people with a chronic or terminal illness.”
Ireland said that the patients or their loved ones can “reach out to us and request one of our Angels.”
“They are ‘friendly visitors on a mission.’ The mission is to ensure patients are getting proper healthcare, palliative care and to avoid them from being pressured into euthanasia or MAiD,” she said.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced plans to use the Senate to retroactively declare the “official acts” of Donald Trump during the January 6 protests unofficial to circumvent what he implied was a lawless decision by a lawless court to make Donald Trump the next King of America.
The move comes after a post by Donald Trump on Truth Social that made it clear a Donald Trump presidency would include aggressive prosecution of election fraudsters from 2020 and whoever might dare try election fraud in 2024. Trump’s Truth Social post upped the ante significantly on the winner-take-all contest of the presidency, and Schumer countered with another dramatic escalation in the consequence and reward for whichever party might win and which party might lose.
Shumer declared “I will work with my colleagues on legislation classifying Trump’s election subversion acts as unofficial acts not subject to immunity. We’re doing this because we believe that in America no president should be free to overturn an election against the will of the people, no matter what the conservative justices may believe. As we work on this important matter, we will also continue to develop other proposals to reassert Congress’s Article One authority to rein in the abuse of our federal judiciary.”
Schumer took to the Senate floor Monday to whine about the ruling. According to the Hill, he declared the Court was wrong to grant Trump “a breathtaking level of immunity.”
“They incorrectly declared that former President Trump enjoys broad immunity from criminal prosecution for actions he took while in office. They incorrectly declared that all future presidents are entitled to a breathtaking level of immunity so long as their conduct is ostensibly carried out in their official capacity as president,” Schumer said.
The Biden White House logs show renowned Parkinson’s expert Dr. Keith Cannard has visited the White House nearly a dozen times starting in November of 2022. After a tumultuous press briefing on Monday during which the White House press corps mercillessly grilled press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on President Joe Biden’s health, his status with medical exams, and just why a Parkinsons specialist was meeting with the president’s own doctor over the weekend, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, Physician to the President, released a letter on the president’s health.
That letter was shared by Kelly O’Donnell, of the press corps. In it, O’Connor offered an explanation as to why Dr. Kevin Cannard visited the White House. He said that while the names of specialists are not usually released, in this case it because necessary “in the interests of accuracy,” and that he’d “obtained permission” both from Biden and Cannard to do so.

The U.S. Supreme Court gave a boost on Friday to a Pennsylvania man who challenged an obstruction charge brought against him concerning the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol.
It’s a ruling that has potential implications for the federal criminal case against former U.S. president Donald Trump for trying to undo his 2020 election loss.
The justices ruled 6-3 to throw out a lower court’s decision that had allowed a charge against defendant Joseph Fischer of corruptly obstructing an official proceeding, that is, the congressional certification of President Joe Biden’s victory over Trump that the rioters sought to prevent. The justices directed the lower court to reconsider the matter.
Fischer, who was an officer with the North Cornwall township police in Pennsylvania at the time of the attack, was accused by prosecutors of charging at police guarding a Capitol entrance during the Jan. 6 riot. He had challenged the obstruction charge, which federal prosecutors brought against him and hundreds of others — including Trump — in Jan. 6-related cases.
Friday’s ruling was a setback for the U.S. Justice Department and Biden’s administration and a potential benefit for Trump.
As expected, the far-left Labour Party of Britain won a super majority of parliament seats despite getting less than 40 percent of the vote. In France, the right was expected to triumph, but a deal with the far-far-left and the far-left gave the French an even more extreme leftist government than they had before. The party that won the most votes, Marine Le Pen’s National Party, only garnered enough parliament seats to rank third.
The French election results showed that the “alliance of dishonour” between President Emmanuel Macron and the far left effectively blocked the populist National Rally from gaining a majority despite the Le Pen party having won the most votes.
According to the French Interior Ministry, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) won the most votes of any party during Sunday’s second round of the snap legislative elections at over 8.7 million, good for 32.05 per cent of the vote.
When combined with their electoral alliance partners from disputed Les Républicains president Eric Ciotti, who earned nearly 1.4 million, good for 5 per cent of the vote, that would take the right wing to over 10 million and 37.05 per cent of the vote.
In comparison, the far-left New Popular Front alliance of communists, socialists, and environmentalists led by radical leftist Jean-Luc Mélenchon only received around seven million votes or around 25.7 per cent and Emmanuel Macron’s neo-liberal centrist coalition received 6.3 million votes or 23.15 per cent of the vote.
However, despite receiving 1.7 million fewer votes than RN, the New Popular Front was awarded the most seats of any party, currently projected by Le Monde at 182. Macron’s coalition won an estimated 168 seats, and despite coming in first in terms of vote share, the RN and its partners were awarded the third most seats at a projected 143.
With far-right parties ascendant in France and elsewhere in Europe, the United Kingdom has swung in the opposite direction. Official election results Friday showed a landslide victory for the country’s center-left Labour Party — its first victory in 19 years, since under the leadership of Tony Blair.
Incoming Prime Minister Keir Starmer hailed his win as historic, saying early Friday: “Change begins now.”
Later Friday, he gave his first speech outside the prime minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street, saying, he will lead a “government of service” on a “mission of national renewal” and promised to “rebuild Britain.”
For the Conservatives — the party of Margaret Thatcher, Boris Johnson and outgoing Prime Minister Rishi Sunak — it was the worst defeat in their party’s nearly 200-year history. Prominent lawmakers including former Prime Minister Liz Truss, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Penny Mordaunt lost their seats in Parliament. Sunak retained his seat but resigned Friday as Conservative Party leader, and apologized to the country.
“I am sorry. I have given this job my all but you have sent a clear signal, that the government of the United Kingdom must change,” Sunak told reporters as he and his wife left the prime minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street for the last time. “I have heard your anger, your disappointment and I take responsibility for this loss.”
In a 6-3 Decision, the Supreme Court overturned the longstanding so-called “Chevron deference,” which gave federal agencies wide leeway in interpreting what the meaning of a given law was, from which they were empowered to create a broad swathe of regulations, un-legislated laws created from one original law.
Chief Justice Roberts wrote the majority decision, declaring “Chevron is overruled. Courts must exercise their independent judgment in deciding whether an agency has acted within its statutory authority, as the [Administrative Procedure Act] requires.” The three far-left judges, Sotomayor, Brown Jackson, and Kagan dissented from the majority view.
The Supreme Court on Friday overturned a landmark 40-year-old decision that gave federal agencies broad regulatory power, upending their authority to issue regulations unless Congress has spoken clearly.
The court split along ideological lines in the dispute, with Chief Justice John Roberts writing for the conservative majority. Justices Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor and Ketanji Brown Jackson were in dissent. Kagan read portions of her dissent from the bench.
The court’s ruling in a pair of related cases is a significant victory for the conservative legal movement, which has long aimed to unwind or weaken the 1984 decision in Chevron v. National Resources Defense Council. Critics of that landmark ruling, which involved a challenge to a regulation enacted by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Air Act, have said the so-called Chevron doctrine gives unelected federal bureaucrats too much power in crafting regulations that touch on major areas of American life, such as the workplace, the environment and health care.
The FBI admitted, through a filing with the special lawfare assassin, Jack Smith, that they not only turned off their cameras to conduct the raid, they also staged the “evidence” to make it appear Trump left sensitive evidence out in the open.
The lawfare assassin himself, Jack Smith, confessed to the crime, stating “At that point, the team began using blank sheets of paper with handwritten annotations to identify the document. The information generally included the document title, classification level, a description of the subject matter, document identification numbers, and/or fates in the document… As part of the processing of seized documents marked classified, ERT photographed the documents (with appropriate cover sheets added by FBI personnel) next to the box in which they were located.”
Biden admin special counsel Jack Smith on Monday filed a motion urging the judge in the Mar-a-Lago documents case to throw out Trump’s motion to dismiss the case based on “spoliation of evidence in violation of due process.” The Trump motion from early June alleged that the FBI, during its 2022 raid of Trump’s Palm Peach estate, destroyed “important exculpatory evidence relating to the locations of the allegedly classified documents at issue.”
The filing from Smith stated that during the execution of the search warrant, “At approximately 9:55 am, the CCTV servers were turned off to prevent recording, at the request of the FBI, out of concern for agent safety.” Independent journalist Julie Kelly, who has done extensive reporting on the cases against Trump and J6 defendants, noted the section on X. “At approximately 10:20 am, recording resumed, at the direction of Trump attorneys.”
The section continued on to state that during the time recording was paused, “the cameras continued to display a live feed, and some Trump Organization personnel who had access to the network feed monitored it live.” The filing noted that before the cameras ceased recording, DOJ attorney Bratt tried once to reach a Trump attorney over the phone unsuccessfully, and successfully did so on the second call. The filing also noted that the search was initiated at around 10:33 am.

The ruling exposes the Uniparty level of corruption Americans face in their battle to restore the republic from foreign enemies, especially those from within our own nation, Democrats and Republicans siding with totalitarianism.
Amy Comey Barrett revealed she is either compromised or an insurrectionist plant all along, giving the majority opinion in words that defy fact and logic. She claimed, “Putting these requirements together, the plaintiffs must show a substantial risk that, in the near future, at least one platform will restrict the speech of at least one plaintiff in response to the actions of at least one Government defendant. Here, at the preliminary injunction stage, they must show that they are likely to succeed in carrying that burden. On the record in this case, that is a tall order.”
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 to toss Murthy v. Missouri, which accused President Joe Biden’s administration of pressuring social media companies to censor COVID “misinformation.”
Missouri and Louisiana, along with five citizens, filed a lawsuit against the administration in 2022.
Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and Justice Amy Coney Barrett voted in the affirmative.
As Lebanon-based and Iran-funded Hezbollah continues to expand its operations against the Israeli north, Prim Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears ready to pivot from Gaza to Lebanon as he recently announced the war in Gaza is wrapping up just in time for the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Netanyahu said that the current phase of the war in Gaza “is about to end” but “that doesn’t mean the war is about to end.” His comments follow accusations directed at Biden that the administration is still withholding military aid voted on by congress and promised by this same administration.
The Israeli leader said in a lengthy TV interview that while the army is close to completing its current ground offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, that would not mean the war against Hamas is over. But he said fewer troops would be needed in Gaza, freeing up forces to battle Hezbollah.
