A Texas father is suing a California doctor for alleging aiding and abetting the murder of two of his unborn babies by illegally mailing mifepristone to the estranged husband of the man’s girlfriend.
Jerry Rodriguez is the first Texan to take advantage of the Lone Star State’s new law, which permits residents to sue out-of-state mifepristone prescribers, manufacturers, and distributors, such as pharmacies, for “an amount of not less than $100,000” for each violation of the Texas’ ban on abortion drugs.
The Texas legislature designed the law, which passed in September and went into effect in December, to combat the influx of Democrat states shielding abortion drug traffickers who use radically expanded mail-order mifepristone allowances to illegally ship abortion pills to people in pro-life states. Enforcement of the statute is modeled after Texas’ successful 2021 heartbeat bill, which virtually eliminated abortion in the state by allowing anyone outside of the government to bring a civil action against anyone who performs or aids and abets ending a life in the womb.
In his suit, Rodriguez alleged California Dr. Remy Coeytaux illicitly mailed the mifepristone that ended his unborn babies’ lives on two separate occasions.
“Coeytaux directly committed murder under section 19.02(b)(1) because he ‘intentionally and knowingly caused the death’ of Mr. Rodriguez’s unborn child by delivering abortion pills that he knew would be used in an illegal self-managed abortion,” the complaint states.
The lawsuit also suggested the abortion drug manufacturers and distributors will also be named as defendants because they are “jointly and severally liable for the wrongful death of Mr. Rodriguez’s unborn child.”
Rodriguez and his girlfriend Kendal Garza first became pregnant in July 2024. The complaint claims Garza was “happy about the pregnancy and told Mr. Rodriguez that she planned to give birth.” Garza’s estranged husband, however, was allegedly displeased with this decision and reportedly used his information and his debit card to secure $150 worth of abortion pills from Coeytaux via Venmo.
Garza allegedly downed the pills in September 2024 after she was “pressured her to kill the baby with the drugs obtained from Coeytaux.”
Approximately 10 percent of women who ingest mifepristone reportedly suffer a serious adverse event such as hemorrhage or infection. Similarly, a majority of abortions, nearly 70 percent, are believed to be unwanted, coerced, or inconsistent with the mother’s values and desires. A slew of lawsuits suggest many women havesuffered abuse, abortion pill poisonings, and coerced abortions due to mifepristone prescribers and distributors’ flouting of Texas’ and other pro-life states’ abortion pill bans.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved Mifeprex label warns that a mother whose pregnancy is further along than the recommended 10 weeks should not take mifepristone because her risk of complications is so high. Yet, the lawsuit states Garza was more than 10 weeks pregnant at the time she took the abortion drug.
By October 2024, Garza was pregnant by Rodriguez again. The lawsuit claims she was “again happy about the pregnancy and told Mr. Rodrigez that she planned to give birth to their child, a son.” Garza and Rodriguez even allegedly attended a doctor’s appointment where they saw their unborn baby, a son, via ultrasound.
By January, Garza used the pills her estranged husband bought to complete a “self-managed abortion even though she was nearly three months pregnant and even though Mr. Rodriguez pleaded with her not to do it.” The lawsuit states Garza allegedly “had to cut the baby boy’s umbilical cord and bury him.”
Rodriguez is not only seeking damages for the wrongful death of both of his children, but also asks the court to issue an injunction “to stop Coeytaux from distributing abortion-inducing drugs in violation of Texas law.” Rodriguez’s counsel was careful to note that Texas law requires the state to fend off any “revenge lawsuit” Coeytaux, with the backing of California, might file against the father.
Coeytaux, an affiliate of abortion drug dealer Aid Access, was one of several mifepristone named in cease and desist orders from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in August 2025. Paxton not only demanded the parties “immediately cease” their illegal abortion drug trafficking scheme, but threatened “further legal action, lawsuits seeking injunctive relief, and civil penalties of no less than $100,000 per violation under Texas law.”

Officials said Pratap was killed in the Kopalia Bazar area of Manirampur sub-district in Jashore in southwestern Bangladesh around 6 pm on Monday.
Authorities have released the mugshot of 26-year-old William DeFoor following his arrest for allegedly attempting to break into Vice President JD Vance’s Cincinnati home with a hammer.

The booking photo, posted by the Hamilton County Justice Center, also lists the charges DeFoor is facing, including vandalism, criminal trespass, criminal damaging or endangering, and obstructing official business.

The Democrats released an email from Jeffrey Epstein they say proves Trump knew Epstein was a pedophile before he severed ties with him. Epstein wrote, “I want you to realize that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump. (Redacted name) spent hours at my house with him ,, he has never once been mentioned. police chief. etc. im 75 % there.”
Epstein was writing to his assistant sex trafficker, Gislaine Maxwell. The name of the person they claim spent time with Trump was redacted unnecessarily, because the person is on public record as denying she ever spent time with Trump. The President’s downplaying of the Epstein files doesn’t help his case, but the person being named in this email testifying that wasn’t true is even more damaging to the Democrats’ claims.
Only years after this email did Epstein claim Trump “knew about the girls” in separate DNC-released emails. No emails related to the Clintons were released by the DNC, which adds to the credibility this was simply a misinformation character assassination campaign, standard operating procedure for the DNC.

The Democratic Party of Korea has consecutively proposed bills targeting anti-China protests. The People Power Party has reacted by criticizing, “They remain silent on anti-U.S. and anti-Japan protests but single out anti-China demonstrations.” Critics argue that the Democratic Party, which has long emphasized the freedom of assembly and expression, is now leading efforts to suppress protests. Democratic Party Representative Yang Bu-nam proposed a Criminal Act amendment on the 4th to recognize defamation against specific groups. Under the bill, those who defame the honor of specific nations, peoples, or races face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 10 million Korean won, while those who publicly insult them face up to one year in prison or a fine of up to 2 million Korean won. Current law limits defamation and insult victims to individuals, but the amendment expands this to groups.

The order titled “Implementing the president’s ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ workforce optimization initiative” builds on Trump’s Jan. 20 order establishing the DOGE and requires federal agency heads to make “preparations to initiate large-scale reductions in force (RIFs), consistent with applicable law, and to separate from Federal service temporary employees and re-employed annuitants working in areas that will likely be subject to the RIFs.”
In the order, Trump tasked Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought with producing a master plan outlining how to reduce the federal bureaucracy through “efficiency improvements and attrition.” The plan must require that each agency can hire only one employee for every four employees kicked to the curb — a ratio that won’t apply to jobs related to immigration, public safety, or law enforcement.
Agency heads must in turn develop hiring plans in consultation with the DOGE team leader assigned to their agency, ensuring the strategic and timely placement of new career appointment hires as well as continued absences in positions the DOGE figures better left unmanned.
Trump further made clear that offices that “perform functions not mandated by statute or other law,” especially those surviving offices that engage in DEI initiatives, should be prioritized for house cleaning.

Emergency response leaders following bad public policy have been too focused on sending firefighting equipment to Ukraine, keeping the homeless safe, protecting fish, and adopting green policies to focus on things like making sure there is enough water to feed fire hydrants and guaranteeing that the strongest, best-trained, most-skilled firefighters are leading operations.
Officials seem to believe that when fire forces you to flee your home, there is just one thing on your mind: the skin color and cultural experience of the firefighters who will bring you to safety. Will they be diverse enough to rescue you? Never mind if they are the best for the job, are they anything but straight white men?
That has been a major priority of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), which, in 2022, launched its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau (DEI), purportedly “focused on ensuring a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace for all.”
