President Donald Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fired back at NBC News’ Kelly O’Donnell on Wednesday as she attempted to question them on reports that the Iranian nuclear sites were not “obliterated.”

An early assessment by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), which was leaked to CNN, found that the damage done to Iran’s nuclear facilities likely only set back the Iranians’ nuclear program by a few months, which contradicted Trump’s claim that the sites were “completely obliterated.” While O’Donnell repeatedly asked about the report, Trump said the DIA report is incomplete and does not properly assess the damages caused by the U.S.’ bombings on Saturday night.

“You talked about having some on-the-ground assessments at Fordow and other sites … What is your message then, sir, to the intelligence community when they present reports?” O’Donnell asked.

“[The DIA] presented a report that wasn’t finished. We’re talking about something that took place three days ago. The report was done days ago,” Trump said, with O’Donnell attempting to push back. “Wait a minute, they didn’t see it. All they can do is take a guess. Now if you take a look at the pictures, if you take a look at how it’s all blackened. You know the fire and brimstone is all underground because it’s granite and it’s all underground. You don’t show it. But even there, with all of that being said, the whole area for 75 yards around, the hole where it hit is black with fire … It’s been obliterated, totally obliterated.”

An initial classified assessment found the U.S. strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities set back Tehran’s nuclear program by a matter of months, according to three sources familiar with its contents.

The assessment, produced by the Defense Intelligence Agency, the Pentagon’s military intelligence wing, said the strikes caused the entrances to two nuclear enrichment facilities, including Fordo, to be sealed off. Resumption of the enrichment program may be determined by how long it takes Iran to clear the entrances and make repairs to electrical and water supplies, two sources familiar with the report’s findings said.

The DIA assessment also indicates some of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile was moved before the strikes, one of the sources said.

Officials familiar with the report cautioned that it was an early assessment that could change as more information becomes available about the sites. It was not immediately clear at what confidence level the judgments included in the report were made.

A complete battle damage assessment is still being assembled, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Dan Caine said on Sunday at a press availability.

“Final battle damage will take some time, but initial battle damage assessments indicate that all three sites sustained extremely severe damage and destruction,” Caine said.

President Trump revealed Wednesday that Israel sent agents to Iran’s bombed nuclear sites to confirm their “total obliteration” — while insisting his surprise attack was too quick for Tehran to have removed its uranium.

Trump was adamant the strikes wiped out Iran’s nuclear facilities and set the program back decades — despite a leaked preliminary intelligence assessment suggesting Tehran could salvage it within months.

“Israel is doing a report on it now, I understand, and I was told that they said it was total obliteration,” Trump told reporters at the NATO summit in the Netherlands. (NY Post)

Therefore, the total weight of the bombs dropped was 14 bombs * 30,000 pounds/bomb = 420,000 pounds.

“Prices would rise — sharply — they said, reigniting an inflation crisis that tens of millions of Americans had elected [President Donald Trump] to solve,” CNN’s David Goldman wrote on Friday. “But that massive, tariff-induced inflation spike hasn’t materialized. Not even close.”

Indeed, it hasn’t. But who exactly is Goldman referring to when he says, “they said”? Well, Goldman might want to check his own newsroom.

On May 16, CNN’s Allison Morrow wrote, “There’s no denying it now: Tariffs are raising prices.”

“Donald Trump’s pitch to Americans on the campaign trail last year included a simple (and simplistic) promise: lower prices on Day One. Even if he didn’t mean it literally, it’s now Day 115, and the results of his only significant economic policy show that the opposite is happening,” Morrow wrote.

Three days prior, CNN’s Nathaniel Meyersohn wrote, “Tariffs have already made mattresses, strollers and power tools more expensive.”

Some other doomsday predictions from CNN include Auzinea Bacon’s May 24 article titled “These companies will raise prices because of Trump’s tariffs,” accusing Trump of giving “many Americans whiplash” as companies announced “daunting” price hikes. “Anything from groceries and clothing to toys and cars could cost Americans more,” Bacon wrote.

When President Donald Trump announced his first slate of judicial nominees, they came with all the bigotry and bias you’d expect: hating abortion, hating gender-affirming care, hating racial justice, loving literacy tests for voting—you know, the usual. But when the five nominees provided written answers to questions from Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee, we learned that those hateful views are no longer enough: Now, Trump nominees also have to be election deniers. Yes, it appears that buying into Trump’s conspiracies about the 2020 election is now a requirement for a lifetime appointment to the federal courts. Terrific.

Every nominee refused to acknowledge that Joe Biden won the 2020 election. Instead, they sidestepped the question by providing an answer similar to Attorney General Pam Bondi during her confirmation hearing. When asked if Biden won the election, her answer was, “President Biden is the president of the United States. There was a peaceful transition of power.”

That is very much not a yes, but instead a careful sidestep—and a painfully obvious hedge. Bondi knew she couldn’t go full election denier during her confirmation hearing, but she also knew that any statement that Biden won the election would likely cost her that attorney general gig.

And these judicial nominees have grasped that the most important part of their confirmation process is showing their fealty to Trump and the Big Lie.

“This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization.”

The LA Dodgers said that the organization denied the entry of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents into the facilities on Thursday morning. This comes as the Trump administration ramps up immigration raids across the country, especially in large cities.

The Dodgers said in a statement to X, “This morning, ICE agents came to Dodger Stadium and requested permission to access the parking lots. They were denied entry to the grounds by the organization. Tonight’s game will be played as scheduled.”

In response to the post from the Dodgers, the Department of Homeland Security stated, “This had nothing to do with the Dodgers. CBP vehicles were in the stadium parking lot very briefly, unrelated to any operation or enforcement.”

The women of “The View,” who lead arguably some of the most privileged lives in the world, got into a heated debate this week when co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin elaborated on the many human rights violations perpetrated under the Ayatollah’s regime in Iran.

Those include executions of gay people and the imprisonment of women who dare to venture outside without their hair covered.

“Iranians literally throw gay people off of buildings,” Griffin said, before Goldberg laid into her.

“Let’s not do that, because if we start with that, we have been known in this country to tie gay folks to the car. Listen, I’m sorry, they used to just keep hanging black people,” Goldberg said.

“In the year 2025 in the United States, it is nothing like if I step foot wearing this outfit into Iran right now,” Griffin said.

“It is the same,” Goldberg responded, and when Griffin attempted to argue, Goldberg responded, “Not if you’re black.”

The day after immigration raids began in Los Angeles, Rep. Norma Torres (D-Pomona) and three other members of Congress were denied entry to the immigrant detention facility inside the Roybal Federal Building.

The lawmakers were attempting an unannounced inspection, a common and long-standing practice under congressional oversight powers.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said too many protesters were present on June 7 and officers deployed chemical agents multiple times. In a letter later to acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, Torres said she ended up in the emergency room for respiratory treatment. She also said the protest had been small and peaceful.

Torres is one of many Democratic members of Congress, from states including California, New York and Illinois, who have been denied entry to immigrant detention facilities in recent weeks.

James Townsend, director of the Carl Levin Center for Oversight and Democracy at Wayne State University in Michigan, said the denials mark a profound — and illegal — shift from past practice.

It seems quiet. If you just look around day to day in the United States, it would appear that life is moving along and the American people are tolerating the second presidency of Donald Trump.

There is no unrest in the streets of America’s cities and small towns. There is no violence. In fact, what we were told before the election could happen, that society would instantly disintegrate, hasn’t happened.

Many in the media who ran Biden off of the Democratic ticket and then bent the knee to Trump looked around at what must be disappointment.

The media, like Trump, were banking on chaos and fear to bring eyeballs back and revive their business after four years of struggle under Joe Biden.

Donald Trump needed chaos and fear to serve as a pretext for the consolidation of power within the executive branch. The media needed chaos and fear to get their audience back.

Hours after the shooting of two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, prominent conservative influencers spun unsubstantiated theories that the suspect was a left-wing extremist who targeted the Democratic-aligned leaders for voting against party lines, and did so with the blessing of the state’s top Democrat, Gov. Tim Walz.

Authorities said a man posing as an officer shot state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette in their home early June 14, and then shot and killed state Rep. Melissa Hortman, a former Democratic speaker, and her husband Mark in their home a few miles away.

Authorities soon identified the shooting suspect as 57-year-old Vance Luther Boelter of Green Isle, Minn. And conservative influencers, including Benny Johnson, Rogan O’Handley and Mike Cernovich pounced — surfacing what they floated as an incriminating connection between Boelter and the governor.

Walz, the former Democratic vice presidential nominee, reappointed Boelter in 2019 to a state board focused on Minnesota’s workforce. But we found no evidence that Walz and Boelter were closely acquainted nor any evidence that Walz was in any way linked to the shootings, which he described as an “unspeakable tragedy” and “targeted political violence.”

After a decade of Donald Trump being on the national political stage, it is clear to all observers that Trump is incapable of being a decent or normal human being.

Any president after the horrific shootings of State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Democratic State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife would show empathy, compassion, and leadership by condemning political violence.

Donald Trump used the shooting to attack Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

Trump told ABC’s Rachel Scott, who posted on X:

On Minnesota – I asked the president about the assassination and whether he plans to call the state’s democratic governor @Tim_Walz

“Well, it’s a terrible thing. I think he’s a terrible governor. I think he’s a grossly incompetent person. But I may, I may call him, I may call other people too,” the president said.

On some days, you could call Associated Press just Associated Press Release. On Friday, they prepared everyone for the leftist protests coming on Saturday with a pseudo-explainer headlined “What to know about ‘No Kings’ protests against Trump’s policies.”

Nowhere in this 17-paragraph article is a single ideological label — liberal, leftist, progressive, socialist, not even “Democrat.” They’re just “opponents.” They certainly weren’t “extremists,” even though the PBS News website illustrated AP with a woman holding a sign that said “The Trump Fascist Regime MUST GO NOW!” That’s not how democracy works.

You can call Trump a “fascist” and be treated as non-ideological. Seattle-based “National Flex Reporter” Lisa Baumann began:

Opponents of President Donald Trump’s administration are set to rally in hundreds of cities on Saturday during the military parade in Washington to mark the Army’s 250th anniversary, which coincides with Trump’s birthday.

The “No Kings” protests are set to take place to counter what organizers say are Trump’s plans to feed his ego on his 79th birthday and Flag Day. “No Kings” will follow several days of nationwide protests against federal immigration raids including in Los Angeles, where Trump’s deployment of the National Guard further agitated his opponents.

“Daily Show” host Jon Stewart lashed out over ABC’s decision to fire longtime correspondent Terry Moran after a biased, anti-Trump outburst during a recent installment of his “Weekly Show” podcast.

Moran was fired earlier this week after referring to senior Trump advisor Stephen Miller as being “richly endowed with the capacity for hatred” in a since-deleted X post. The post was made in reference to President Trump’s decision to deploy National Guard personnel in order to combat multiple days of anarchy that had gripped Los Angeles.

“He’s a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate,” the now former ABC correspondent ranted. “Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred only a means to an end, and that end his his own glorification. That’s his spiritual nourishment.”

Stewart was not happy with ABC’s decision to fire Moran, stating that the network is a “f***ing joke” for the move. “The entire thing is because ABC clings to this facade that they somehow exist in a bubble,” Stewart said Thursday on his podcast.

The Trump administration’s rhetoric echoes the same old fantasy of racial purity that animated the 20th-century right.

On an otherwise unremarkable spring day, the Trump administration’s lawless assault on the rights of immigrants was interrupted by a government-chartered plane landing at Dulles International Airport. In a revealing reverse-image set piece, some 50 white Afrikaner immigrants from South Africa had arrived, in pursuit of an array of generous resettlement provisions. In February, Trump had signed an executive order granting them streamlined refugee status and a smooth path to US citizenship. The newcomers were feted with welcoming statements from the president, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and scores of MAGA-aligned commentators and pundits.

The same day that the Afrikaner “refugees” were getting the red-carpet treatment, the Department of Homeland Security announced that it was ending temporary protected status for immigrants from Afghanistan—many of whom had assisted the US war effort there and would thus face potential reprisals from the Taliban should they be deported. At a press conference after the Afrikaners’ flight landed, a reporter asked State Department spokesman Christopher Landau about the vast disparity in treatment between white immigrants with dubious claims of violent persecution in their homeland, and a group of their nonwhite counterparts who were exposed to real personal and political danger. Landau replied that “one of the criteria” in assigning refugee status to an immigrant population is making sure they can be “assimilated into our country.”

The New York Times confirmed Sunday that Hamas operated a tunnel beneath the European Gaza Hospital weeks after casting doubt on its existence. Instead of condemning Hamas for using a hospital as a terror base, however, the paper framed the tunnel as a matter of clashing narratives.

“What we saw in that dark and narrow tunnel is one of the war’s biggest Rorschach tests,” Times reporter Patrick Kingsley wrote in a Sunday article after touring the site, calling it “the embodiment of a broader narrative battle between Israelis and Palestinians over how the conflict should be portrayed.”

“To Israelis, the location of an underground passageway highlights Hamas’s abuse of civilians,” the article’s subheading reads. “To Palestinians, Israel’s decision to target it highlights Israel’s own disregard for civilian life.”

The Times last month cast doubt on the tunnel’s existence, quoting the hospital’s director as saying such a tunnel was unlikely. Two weeks later, Muhammad Sinwar—the de facto leader of Hamas and younger brother of slain October 7 mastermind Yahya Sinwar—was killed inside the tunnel, according to the Israel Defense Forces.

Tomasi, who doesn’t appear to be wearing personal protective equipment, cries out in pain and clutches her lower leg as the cameraman quickly pans away and they move away from the police line.

“You just (expletive) shot the reporter,” a voice off-camera can be heard shouting.

Tomasi can be heard reassuring her crew she was OK: “Yeah, I’m good, I’m good.”

CNN’s Brian Stelter said during an appearance on the network that people have to be careful when they are going on social media and looking at videos of the violence of the LA riots, warning that the videos could have been posted “two days ago,” and will give a “false impression” of how much unrest is happening in the California city.

Stelter appeared on CNN, and said, “We all live on our phones these days, we’re all scrolling through social media. you’ve got to be careful at a delicate moment like this to look at the timestamps, look at the dates, look at when things are actually posted, and if they’re really from the situation they’re purporting to be.”

“A lot of these algorithms are servicing hours old, or even days old content. So you might be looking at a video of something wondering what’s happening in LA. It’s actually two days ago. And that’s only matters because it can get people a false impression of what’s actually happening at a moment of unrest,” Stelter added.

As Los Angeles devolves into violent chaos led by the anti-ICE activists that have flooded the streets to fight against immigration enforcement, it is being discovered that tax dollars are funding the groups organizing these riots.

One of the groups behind the riots is a non-profit called Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), an LA-based group that advocates for illegal aliens. This group has long been an avowed enemy of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and in 2018 led a campaign to abolish ICE.

As rioters coursed through downtown L.A. this weekend, CHIRLA Executive Director Angelica Salas held a press conference celebrating the work of the Los Angeles Rapid Response Network’s hotline for helping alert left-wing, open-border activists to where ICE actions were taking place across the L.A. area.

Rachel Maddow started off the early days of the Trump administration talking about the authoritarian threat that Trump presented, but something interesting has happened along the way.

People who follow the news know what Trump is and what he wants to do to the country.

The way that the American people have responded to this threat has been something that was hoped for, but not necessarily expected, and it has been this powerful rejection of Trump’s autocratic fantasies that has sent him into a panic.

You’d think setting cars on fire would be the bare minimum threshold for calling a “mostly peaceful protest” a riot, but not when it comes to the mainstream media. According to ABC News, it’s apparently just “a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn.” You know, everyone’s favorite pastime.

If you needed any more justification as to why the media has become largely irrelevant, here it is!

This is also why there is only one particular demographic that still watches cable news—most people won’t just believe something while watching the exact opposite unfold before their eyes and accept the reporter’s explanation as gospel.

You have to be deep in liberal fantasy land to watch rioters setting cars on fire and still believe they’re just trying to help an illegal alien earn a living for his family back in Mexico. And the fact that this kind of chaos is the most effective way to “send a message” to the Trump administration might say more than they intended.

How have they not learned their lesson? This is exactly the kind of nonsense that cost the left the election. You can’t claim two plus two equals five and expect the public to accept it as truth—voters are a lot smarter than the media gives them credit for.

Most Russians no longer consider the United States their country’s main enemy, according to a Levada Center survey released Thursday, as Donald Trump’s return to the White House fuels hopes of a diplomatic thaw between Moscow and Washington.

The share of respondents who named the U.S. as the most hostile country toward Russia has nearly halved to 40% this year, down from 76% in 2024.

“The U.S. dropped from first to fourth on this list for the first time in 20 years of measurements,” the independent pollster said.

Germany (55%), the United Kingdom (49%) and Ukraine (43%) now rank as the top three most hostile countries in the eyes of Russian respondents.

The shift in perception follows Trump’s inauguration in January after a campaign pledge to swiftly end the war in Ukraine. In March, Russian favorability toward the U.S. doubled, Levada said.

Russian state media has in recent months portrayed Trump as a pragmatic leader open to dialogue with Moscow. At the same time, Russian attitudes toward the U.S. have historically fluctuated in response to global events.

While Elon Musk has mercifully finally left the building—though not before getting literal billions of dollars in no-bid government contracts and other treats—Musk has rich acquaintances who still need sweet no-bid government contracts. So that’s why the Federal Aviation Administration will be giving up to $2.1 million of your tax dollars to Musk’s personal attorney, Alex Spiro, to investigate whether former President Joe Biden left some DEI inside the planes and that’s why they keep crashing.

This deal was actually set up in March, long before Musk’s departure, but apparently in secrecy, because that’s totally how the most transparent administration in history rolls. But The Atlantic got Spiro’s scope of work document, labeled privileged and confidential, because that is also totally how the most transparent administration in history rolls.

Elon Musk’s personal attorney, Alex Spiro

For roughly $2 million of your tax dollars, Spiro will put together a team of former federal prosecutors to figure out what DEI policies exist—okay, wait. Let’s stop there. Most people figure out what government policies exist by … looking at the policies, given that the federal government issues drafted-and-edited-to-death policies on literally everything, but especially anything related to hiring.

Not sure why you need a dude whose resume includes defending Musk’s sacred right to defame people as pedophiles or Tesla’s sacred right to not have to pay too much for racist harassment of a Black employee or X/Twitter’s sacred right to do mass layoffs to figure out what government policies exist.

BOULDER, Colo. — Hundreds of people squeezed into the Jewish Community Center in Boulder, Colorado, for a vigil that featured prayer, singing and emotional testimony from a victim and witnesses of the firebombing attack in the city’s downtown, while a federal judge has blocked the deportation of the suspect’s family.

Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, has been charged with a federal hate crime and state counts of attempted murder in Sunday’s attack on a group demonstrating for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. He is being held in a county jail on a $10 million cash bond and is scheduled to make an appearance in state court on Thursday.

Witnesses say Soliman threw two Molotov cocktails at the group and authorities say he confessed to the attack that injured 15 people.

Rachelle Halpern, who has been walking with the group since 2023, said during Wednesday evening’s vigil that she remembers thinking it was strange to see a man with a canister looking like he was going to spray pesticide on the grass. Then she heard a crash and screams and saw flames around her feet.

“A woman stood one foot behind me, engulfed in flames from head to toe, lying on the ground with her husband,” she said. “People immediately, three or four men immediately rushed to her to smother the flames.”

The initiative is focused on streamlining the federal government.

As part of the endeavor, DOGE proposed cuts in personnel, contracts, and foreign aid.

“But the damage that he did was just really incredible,” Hostin said.

Former ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann opened his Countdown podcast Tuesday with a segment which could only be described as the ravings of a lunatic. The topic of his ten-minute tirade:  “the blood of Boulder, Colorado, is on the hands of Donald Trump.” If that relatively unsupported claim didn’t seem extreme enough, Olbermann doubled down, describing Trump’s “ethnic cleansing” policy, which supposedly exclusively targeted the innocent illegal immigrants while ignoring actual criminals.

In Olbermann’s own words:

They are looking for innocent people and those guilty of misdemeanors or things less than misdemeanors to purge, to remove, to cleanse! We got little notice last week, but Rubio, rapidly rising to the top of the hypocrisy charts to replace even Lindsey Graham for largest percentage of soul sold, announced a reorganization of the State Department that would in essence eliminate all efforts inside that department to provide a haven here for foreign nationals who have helped this country, like the thousands of people in Afghanistan who fought the Taliban with us before Trump surrendered to the Taliban. It would eliminate that department and replace it with, quote, “the Office of Remigration.”
