Ohio GOP Sen. Bernie Moreno will introduce a resolution on Wednesday calling on the Senate to formally nominate President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This comes after the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, prompted by Trump

“President Trump just pulled off what neocons and Democrat globalists have failed to do for decades: peace in the Middle East with Iran’s nuclear arsenal decimated – all with no American boots on the ground, American casualties, or injuries,” Moreno said in a statement.

“President Trump is delivering exactly what he promised, the era of regime change and Forever wars abroad is over. Now it’s time for the world to recognize the obvious truth and award him the Nobel Peace Prize,” he added.

The Nobel Peace Prize recognizes individuals and organizations that have “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.” This was outlined in Alfred Nobel’s will.

In Moreno’s resolution, he outlined the fact that former Democratic President Barack Obama was awarded the prize for his alleged ‘‘extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.” However, this included the deaths of thousands of people, something that should have disqualified him from receiving the prize, Moreno noted.

The U.S. Supreme Court is preparing to hand down a pivotal decision that could finally put an end to one of the Left’s favorite judicial tricks: nationwide injunctions designed to paralyze conservative executive action.

According to George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley, a looming Supreme Court decision on nationwide injunctions could have “enormous” impacts on the Trump administration.

Turley said Tuesday that the high court will likely crack down on rogue activist judges.

The SCOTUS is poised to decide on the practice by federal judges that can currently halt executive branch policies affecting the entire country.

Conservatives have argued that injunctions have been strategically sought in left-wing jurisdictions.

The moves are part of a strategy to undermine the Trump administration’s agenda on immigration enforcement and deportations.

“It’s going to be an enormous decision potentially,” Turley explained.

The legal scholar noted that a decision may come on Thursday.

“For the administration in the immigration areas, as well as other areas, the court could very well say, ‘Enough. We’re not going to have individual judges freezing the entire United States government on critical programs like this.”

Turley said that many of the injunctions are brought in “favorable” jurisdictions in front of “favorable” judges.

Those activist judges issue the injunctions that are favorable to Democrats and stop the president’s policies in their tracks.

The White House distributed a statement to reporters on Wednesday from the Israel Atomic Energy Commission giving their assessment of the damage U.S. strikes inflicted on key Iranian nuclear facilities.

“The devastating US strike on Fordo destroyed the site’s critical infrastructure and rendered the enrichment facility inoperable,” the IAEC statement reads.

Iran’s nuclear weapons program has now been set back “by many years” following U.S. and Israeli strikes, the statement added.

“We assess that the American strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, combined with Israeli strikes on other elements of Iran’s military nuclear program, has set back Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons by many years,” IAEC said. “The achievement can continue indefinitely if Iran does not get access to nuclear material.”

The statement comes after CNN reported that U.S. strikes against three of Iran’s nuclear sites did not destroy the nation’s nuclear program—a claim fiercely disputed by the administration.

“This alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. “The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000 pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration.”

President Donald Trump has a chance to do two incredible things.

First, with a successful second term he could buck a major historical trend.

Second, as his popularity increases, Trump could soon eclipse former President Barack Obama while relegating the 44th president to a historical footnote.

Tuesday on “The Benny Show” podcast, pollster Mark Mitchell of Rasmussen Reports told host Benny Johnson that Trump’s approval rating at this point in his presidency will soon surpass that of Obama at the same point in his second term.

“You’re saying that President Trump is about to beat Barack Obama for being the most popular president in our lifetimes?” Johnson asked in a clip posted to the social media platform X.

“At this point in the term and going forward, yeah, 100 percent,” Mitchell replied.

The key phrase “at this point in the term” sounds like a caveat.  In truth, however, it makes Trump’s achievement all the more remarkable.

Recall, for instance, how Obama entered the presidency. The media glorified him. His face appeared on posters, accompanied by the word “HOPE.”

Law professor and political commentator Jonathan Turley recently weighed in on the Trump administration’s court battles over immigration policy.

After issuing a flurry of executive orders targeting illegal immigration, President Donald Trump was faced with a barrage of lawsuits coming from left-leaning organizations. The White House has had mixed results in the courts so far. But a recent Supreme Court ruling allowing the administration to continue deporting illegal immigrants to third countries (nations from which they do not come) has given it a substantial victory.

During an interview on “Fox and Friends” with host Lawrence B. Jones, Turley gave his analysis of the situation, saying the Supreme Court could give Trump another significant victory.

Jones brought up Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissenting opinion in the recent case. “Rather than allowing our lower court colleagues to manage this high-stakes litigation with the care and attention it plainly requires, this court now intervenes to grant the government emergency relief from an order it has repeatedly defied,” she said.

Jones pointed out that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) claims the deportees’ home countries will not accept them back. “Countries are not clamoring to get more felons to augment their home population,” he said.

Over the course of his third presidential campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly presented himself as a defender of American Christians and his rivals, then-President Joe Biden and then-Vice President Kamala Harris, as opponents and even persecutors of the Christian faith. A new survey is showing that American Christians largely agreed with Trump’s rhetoric, even if not with all of his policy decisions. Change Research conducted what Time Magazine called “one of the largest polls of Christian voters ever to quantify the mood of the nation’s largest voting bloc,” and found that American Christians broadly do not trust the Democratic Party.

According to the survey, 75% of Christian voters say that they have “little or no trust in the Democratic Party,” while 58% say that party elites and leaders are “hostile to Christianity,” 54% say that even Democratic voters are “hostile to Christianity,” and 62% say that they would “never consider voting for a Democrat.”

Doug Pagitt, the “progressive pastor” who commissioned the study, told Time that Democrats have crippled their electoral prowess by ignoring and denigrating American Christians and Christian values. “You can’t be the majority party if you ignore the majority faith in this country,” he said. Pointing to the success Republicans have had with Christian voters, he continued, “Republicans have made a concerted effort. Democrats have done everything they can never to name that [Christian] identity. They have a built-in bias against these identities in the Democratic Party.” Pagitt opined that Democrats “squandered” their chances with Christian voters in the 2024 election. “They just walked away,” he said.

In an explosive revelation shaking up both the medical establishment and Washington, world-renowned cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra has revealed that President Donald Trump’s administration is planning to ban Covid mRNA “vaccines” across America.

Dr. Malhotra, a top health advisor in the Trump administration, says the controversial mRNA injection could soon be pulled from the U.S. market entirely.

In a new interview with  Dr. John Campbell, Malhotra noted that the information is not coming from fringe speculation, but from sources inside the White House.

“There’s no reason why this COVID-19 vaccine should not be completely pulled from the market,” Malhotra said.

“It’s just a question of time.”

The bold declaration came during a candid interview with Dr. Campbell, where Malhotra hinted that behind closed doors, top officials are scrambling to distance themselves from what many now view as one of the greatest medical catastrophes in modern history.

Roger Lopez is a sidewalk counselor in San Diego who regularly offers resources and emotional support to women outside of abortion centers. Lopez could be seen standing outside San Diego’s downtown Planned Parenthood 2-3 hours a day, praying and talking with women considering abortion. Court documents show that this particular Planned Parenthood was responsible for 24,000 abortions a year.

To combat sidewalk counselors such as Lopez in the name of “public safety,” the city of San Diego enacted “bubble zones” around abortion centers to minimize their outreach. These zones established a 100-foot buffer around the facility entrance, along with an 8-foot floating zone for individuals moving within that area.

In response, Lopez and the Thomas More Society filed a lawsuit claiming the new ordinance violated Lopez’s 1st and 14th Amendment rights to speak freely in public places.

Peter Breen, executive vice president and head of litigation at the Thomas More Society, emphasized in a press release the blatant violation of the Constitution that San Diego has committed by not allowing free speech on a public sidewalk.

“The right to freedom of speech is at its highest on the public sidewalk, so attempts like San Diego’s to silence pro-life speech outside abortion businesses is an especially egregious attack on our constitutional rights,” Breen emphasized.

Special counsel Paul Jonna expressed the vital emotional support provided by sidewalk counselors, noting that many women seeking abortions may not receive such information from any other source.

“Pro-life sidewalk counselors like Roger Lopez offer these women help, compassion, support, and information. But the City of San Diego wants to deprive women of this information—leading them to mistakenly believe that abortion is their only option,” Jonna said.

Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon promised to hold criminals accountable for bombing and vandalizing pro-life pregnancy centers with the same law formerly used to jail pro-lifers.

Dhillon’s Civil Rights Division at the Department of Justice (DOJ) aims to bring “numerous” such cases using the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, she told The Daily Signal in a Thursday interview. The Biden administration primarily used the FACE Act to prosecute pro-life activists for peacefully protesting at abortion clinics, despite the law also protecting pregnancy resource centers and houses of worship.

“While the statute is in place, it provides protection for both people who are going to abortion clinics as well as crisis pregnancy centers,” Dhillon said, echoing statements she made in April. Dhillon expanded on her goals in the Daily Signal interview.

In his fight to elevate life for the Forgotten Americans, President Donald Trump has already shattered another record in his second term in support of blue-collar Americans. During Trump’s first five months of his second term, real wages for hourly workers saw their largest increase under any administration in nearly 60 years.

Blue-collar U.S. workers saw real wages grow 1.7% thus far during the second Trump administration—a stark contrast from the negative wage growth seen during the first five months of the Biden administration. “The only other time it has been this high … was during President Trump’s first term,” Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent said in an interview with the New York Post.

Bessent attributed the rise in working-class wages first to Trump’s policy focus on reviving manufacturing.

“Since Richard Nixon in 1969, Trump has been the only president to record positive growth for blue-collar workers in his first five months. He also achieved 1.3% in his first term,” noted the Post’s Miranda Devine. “The recovery from a 1.7% decline recorded in Biden’s first five months, as inflation outpaced earnings, suggests a shift in economic conditions for this financially stressed segment of the workforce.”

OPINION: Trump is correct to use this important tool from a 1996 law to ensure out-of-state American college students are not treated worse than illegal immigrants

The Department of Justice is finally enforcing a little-known, but important, immigration law that ensures Americans are not treated worse than illegal immigrants.

For years now, I have raised the issue of a specific statute in the “Illegal Immigration Reform and Responsibility Act of 1996.”

The statute is commonsense – states should not be able to charge out-of-state American citizens a higher rate than they charge illegal immigrants who have taken up residence in state.

But for almost 30 years, through multiple Republican presidents, the law has remained unenforced, even though it would have been quite simple to enforce according to Hans von Spakovsky. “The Attorney General of the US needs to tell the head of the Civil Division to enforce the statute,” von Spakovsky, whom I first heard the idea from, previously told The Fix.

Now, the Trump administration is using it with great success – a lawsuit filed against Texas for its illegal immigrant tuition benefits ended in a quick resolution to end the practice. The DOJ recently filed a similar lawsuit against Kentucky, and cited this statute in its introduction.

The statute, 8 USC 1623, states:

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State (or a political subdivision) for any postsecondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit (in no less an amount, duration, and scope) without regard to whether the citizen or national is such a resident.

Colorado likes to brand itself as the “gold standard” of elections and democracy. But scratch the surface, and you’ll find something rotten. The same state that tried to bar President Trump from the 2024 ballot—only to be rebuked unanimously by the Supreme Court—is now under scrutiny for far more than election antics. Colorado has become ground zero for judicial tyranny, a place where whistleblowers are crushed, innocent men are financially destroyed, and courtrooms operate more like cartel headquarters than halls of justice.

The case of Tina Peters, the Mesa County clerk-turned-election integrity advocate, is finally drawing attention from the Department of Justice. After years of political persecution, Peters’ case has shifted from the DOJ Civil Division to the Criminal Division, with officials asking if her prosecution was less about justice and more about inflicting political pain. That’s a generous way to describe what happened. Jena Griswold, Colorado’s secretary of State, publicly posted hundreds of active election passwords, blocked expert witness Clay Parikh—one of the nation’s top cyber forensics specialists—from testifying, and weaponized the courts to silence Peters. The state’s judiciary went along with it, ruling that “nothing was compromised,” while the public saw the truth unfold in real time.

But Tina’s case isn’t an outlier—it’s a symptom of a far larger disease infecting Colorado’s judiciary. In a stunning exposé published in the Boston Broadside, the story of “John Doe”—a Colorado father who had more than $656,000 garnished from him without notice, hearing, or even proof of service—has exposed the state’s family court system as a lawless racket. The article, titled “The Family Court Fleecing of a John Doe — It Could Happen to You!”, details how John Sarina  (his real name, known to many familiar with the case) was railroaded by a court that allowed perjury by his ex-wife to go unpunished. Despite his repeated attempts to notify the court that he had not been served, Arapahoe County Court and Magistrate Moschetti allowed the financial carnage to proceed unabated. Constitutional rights were treated like an inconvenience. Due process was entirely absent.

So-called “protests” once again descended into chaos in Portland, Oregon, on Wednesday night.

Federal agents were forced to deploy non-lethal munitions to disperse a large crowd of radical protesters attempting to block an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility.

The confrontation unfolded outside the ICE building on Macadam Avenue.

A masked mob, many donning keffiyehs and anti-border slogans, attempted to stop government vehicles from entering or exiting the compound.

According to footage obtained by Turning Point USA’s Frontlines, the scene quickly escalated into a volatile standoff.

Agents were seen using rubber bullets, tear gas, and flash bangs after demonstrators refused to comply with repeated warnings to leave.

No matter how much left-wing agitators want to riot to oppose enforcing immigration law, the American people still support Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers and deporting illegals.

That is the takeaway from a new Harvard/Harris poll taken in the middle of the Los Angeles anti-ICE riots that have been excused by Democrat leadership like city Mayor Karen Bass and Gov. Gavin Newsom.

In fact, 80 percent of respondents in the poll support a plan to deport criminal illegal aliens, which clocks in at the second most popular overall policy proposal (of 15) after lowering prescription drug prices for the elderly and low-income Americans. When asked more specifically if respondents favored what the Trump administration is doing to achieve the deportations, 74 percent agreed, including 57 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of independents.

The fifth most popular policy proposal is closing “the border with added security and policies that discourage illegal crossings,” with 67 percent support.

A multi-agency task force assisted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with the arrest of a Guatemalan criminal alien during a targeted enforcement operation in Los Angeles. The criminal alien was deported from the United States after being sentenced to 36 months in prison for sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, officials stated.

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks announced the arrest in Los Angeles of Guatemalan national Roberto Mateo. The Guatemalan man is illegally present in the United States after being deported from the U.S. in 2017. It is not clear when or where he reentered the U.S. but the federal task force located him in the sanctuary city of Los Angeles.

In a social media post, Chief Banks wrote, “He returned and thought he could hide in a ‘sanctuary city.’ We are here to send a clear message to criminals: We don’t care where you hide- We will locate, arrest, and remove you.”

Records indicate Mateo was found guilty in the United States in 2014 of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, Banks reported. The court sentenced him to 36 months in prison. An immigration judge ordered his removal and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers deported him upon the completion of his sentence in 2017.

Despite the actions of anti-ICE protesters in Los Angeles, ERO officers also arrested Mab Khleb, a Cambodian national with a criminal history of lewd acts with a child, battery, and multiple drug offenses, ERO officials reported.

Leading oncology scientists in Brazil have just announced a major breakthrough in the fight against cancer.

A team of scientists at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) has discovered that ivermectin nanoparticles destroy cancer cells, massively reducing tumors.

In a groundbreaking preclinical study, researchers led by Drs. Maiara Callegaro Velho and Ruy Carlos Ruver Beck showed that a nano-encapsulated form of ivermectin, when delivered intranasally, reduced glioma tumor volume in rats by over 70%.

The discovery is being hailed as a major development in the fight against glioblastoma, one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer.

The results of the study were published in ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering.

This is the first study to investigate “nose-to-brain IVM delivery using nanotechnology,” the authors noted.

The team tested two ivermectin nanoformulations:

• IVM-NC: Ivermectin encapsulated in poly(ε-caprolactone) nano capsules

• IVM-MCM: Ivermectin within mesoporous silica particles

LGBTQ advocates have long allied themselves with diversity, equity and inclusion groups. Yet DEI’s legal troubles are causing some corporate sponsors to end their support for Pride activities.

Soon, Pride advocates may have legal problems of their own. That’s bad for Pride organizers, but it’s good for parents because rulings could spell out protections for parents and children from explicit sexual material in schools.

An April survey of corporate executives found that 39% of respondents “plan to reduce Pride-related engagement in 2025,” with 61% of these business leaders citing “pressure” from the White House as the primary reason for dropping support.

Some Pride organizations are reeling: Businesses such as Mastercard, Pepsi, Comcast and more did not contribute to Pride events—in fact, San Francisco’s Pride organizations saw fundraising fall by $200,000. New York City’s Pride fundraising dropped by 20%, while Salt Lake City’s Pride fundraising is down by nearly half a million dollars.

Companies were more interested in supporting Pride events and their DEI partners when federal officials allowed DEI offices in corporations and on university campuses to skirt civil rights laws.

According to Forbes, corporate fundraising for DEI “peaked” between 2016 and 2022, which happened to cover much of President Joe Biden’s administration. That administration did not call companies, universities and other organizations to account for DEI activities that may have violated the Civil Rights Act, such as racial favoritism in hiring.

According to the data, nearly one million illegals have self-deported and gone back to their home countries where they belong since Donald Trump was elected to the White House for Trump 2.0.

You might remember way back in the neolithic age of 2012 that Mitt Romney was destroyed for saying that if the federal government tightened up immigration policies, many illegals would leave the U.S. voluntarily… i.e., would “self-deport.” Liberals blasted him for this claim.

Now that Donald Trump has finally been able put the idea into action, we find that Mitt– who was rarely right — actually hit that one on the head. So far, about a million illegals have gone home.

Per the New York Post:

One way to track the program is by checking employment numbers. One financial wiz cited by the Wall Street Journal calculated a decline in the immigrant population of 773,000 in the first four months of Trump II.

The Washington Post claims “a million foreign-born workers have exited the workforce since March.” The Post frames this as “a sign of the weakening labor supply.” Yet the paper also notes, “Average hourly wages accelerated, rising by 0.4 percent over the month, to $36.24 in May, as earnings continue to beat inflation in a boost to workers’ spending power.”

In other words, with fewer illegal immigrants, businesses had to raise wages to attract workers.

Leftists were evidently unable to persuade President Donald Trump to reverse course on deporting illegal aliens with their recent rioting, demonstrations, and attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The president announced Sunday evening in a post on Truth Social that he was ordering ICE officers to lean into their mass deportation campaign.

“Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People,” wrote Trump. “ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

‘Large employers are more concerned than their counterparts about ICE/DHS enforcement.’

Trump indicated that success will depend upon an expansion of detention and deportation efforts in America’s largest cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, which he noted were not only temporarily home to millions of illegal aliens but “the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens.”

“The American People want our Cities, Schools, and Communities to be SAFE and FREE from Illegal Alien Crime, Conflict, and Chaos,” continued Trump. “That’s why I have directed my entire Administration to put every resource possible behind this effort, and reverse the tide of Mass Destruction Migration that has turned once Idyllic Towns into scenes of Third World Dystopia. Our Federal Government will continue to be focused on the REMIGRATION of Aliens to the places from where they came, and preventing the admission of ANYONE who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.”

A parents’ rights group is asking the Trump administration to investigate the YMCA for possible violations of federal law for allowing men who identify as women into women’s locker rooms and, in several instances, allowing them to expose their naked bodies to women and girls.

“I write to file a formal complaint against the YMCA of the USA (“YMCA”) for engaging in unlawful gender-based discrimination in its programs and policies,” Alleigh Marré, the executive director of the American Parents Coalition, wrote in a letter on June 10 to the secretaries of the departments of Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, and Education.

The letter follows news reports that indicated the national YMCA organization had issued guidance as far back as 2017 recommending that biologically male campers and staff be allowed to use the cabins and bathrooms “aligned with their gender identity” at YMCA camps.

The letter then goes on to outline how individual YMCAs had implemented those policies.

In April, a mother and her young daughter were exposed to a naked man in a women’s locker room at a local YMCA in Kansas City, Missouri. The individual in question reportedly said something along the lines of “Honey, I’m a woman,” when the girl’s mother inquired why he was in the locker room.

That YMCA told WDAF-TV in Kansas City that “individuals are allowed to use the locker room or restroom that they identify with,” but that “members are asked to wear a towel, wrap, or other clothes at all times.”

In a unanimous move, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ordered New York’s highest court to reconsider its decision upholding a state mandate that forces religious employers to provide abortion coverage in their health insurance plans.

The Court’s unsigned order in Diocese of Albany v. Harris directs the New York Court of Appeals to reexamine the case in light of Catholic Charities Bureau v. Wisconsin, a recent ruling that reinforced constitutional protections for religious groups under the First Amendment’s Free Exercise Clause.

The ruling stems from a years-long legal battle involving a coalition of Catholic and Anglican nuns, dioceses, churches, and faith-based ministries. These organizations challenged New York’s 2017 abortion insurance mandate, arguing that it compelled them to violate their deeply held beliefs about the sanctity of life.

“When New York created this abortion mandate, it said it would protect religious groups,” said Lori Windham, a religious liberty attorney. “But religious ministries that serve all people, regardless of faith, were left out. Not even Jesus, Mother Teresa, or Mahatma Gandhi would qualify for New York’s stingy definition of religious freedom.”

The original New York law offered only a narrow exemption—limited to religious organizations that primarily employ and serve individuals of the same faith. That meant ministries that provide food, housing, and other essential services to the general public—including those of different faiths or none at all—were left with no protection.

On the heels of a Gallup survey noting that 54 percent of American men identify as pro-life (as opposed to 32 percent of women), a new Ipsos poll from the United Kingdom reveals a similar gender divide.

According to the new poll published on June 16, 71 percent of Britons believe that abortion should be legal “in most or all cases,” but between young men aged 16-34, this number plunges to 46 percent. The Ipsos survey was conducted between May 16 and 19 and surveyed 1,062 British people between ages 16 and 75.

According to Ipsos, 34 percent of Britons think that abortion should be legal in all cases, and 38 percent in most cases. Thirteen percent of Britons believe abortion should be illegal in most cases, and four percent believe it should be illegal in all cases. Ipsos noted that this “level of support has remained relatively consistent since 2022.”

Again, the surprise from the new Ipsos survey is the pro-life shift among young men. While 76 percent of men between the ages of 35 and 54 think abortion should be legal in most or all cases and 82 percent of men between the ages of 55 and 75, “less than half (46 percent) of men aged 16-34 believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.”

The Ipsos survey also revealed that there is no public push to change the law to decriminalize abortion up until birth, as MPs are likely to do this week. Forty-seven percent of Britons “believe the current 24-week time limit for most abortions in England and Wales is ‘about right,’ while almost a quarter—24 percent–think it is “too late.” Only four percent believe it is too early. Over half of those surveyed, 55 percent, think that the party who committed the abortion should receive a penalty.

“While the majority of Britons support legal abortion, with seven in ten in favour, our polling reveals a significant fault line: less than half of young men aged 16-34 agree,” noted Kate Duxbury of Ipsos. “This divergence, coupled with the fact that around half of Britons think the current 24-week limit is ‘about right’, highlights the complexities facing policymakers as they consider decriminalisation. It’s clear that public opinion is far from monolithic, demanding a nuanced approach to this sensitive issue.”

A federal lawsuit challenging a Vermont law regulating pro-life pregnancy centers has been dismissed after state officials amended the statute to address concerns raised by the plaintiffs.

The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), along with Aspire Now in Williston and Branches Pregnancy Resource Center in Brattleboro, filed the suit in July 2023. The plaintiffs argued that Vermont’s Senate Bill 37 (SB 37), which had taken effect in May 2023, unconstitutionally targeted “limited-services pregnancy centers” by restricting their speech and dictating how they could operate.

Specifically, the law prohibited what it called “deceptive acts or practices” by centers that do not offer abortions or emergency contraception, including advertising that could be considered false or misleading. It also limited the scope of services non-licensed individuals could provide, effectively barring some staff at pregnancy resource centers from offering non-medical counseling, advice, or information on abortion reversal treatments.

The law essentially claimed that pregnancy centers that neither perform nor refer for abortions were unqualified to say they assist pregnant women. It subjected these pro-life centers to potential fines of up to $10,000 if their advertisements were deemed misleading by Vermont’s pro-abortion attorney general. The restrictions applied solely to pro-life organizations, while abortion providers offering similar information were not held to the same standard.

Republican governors are flexing their muscles ahead of anti-Trump “No Kings” protests set for this weekend, telling protesters to “think twice” before considering echoing recent strains of violence found in Los Angeles.

The governors of South Carolina, Texas, and Utah have issued warnings against violence ahead of the protests on Saturday. In the wake of California riots and attacks on authorities that broke out in reaction to Trump’s immigration agenda, the Republican leaders said similar acts of violence in their states will be met with a swift response from law enforcement.

Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) said on Tuesday that he would put South Carolina on an elevated sense of alert “if it’s necessary.” His comments came hours after South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson issued a statement saying his office is aware of potential “coordinated protests and acts of civil disobedience” planned for Saturday, adding that protestors who attack law enforcement, destroy property, or endanger lives will be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”

“If people want to protest and want to voice their opinion, that’s fine. But when you start destroying property, scaring people, hurting people that’s when law enforcement swings into action,” McMaster said. “I would urge people who want to cause trouble in our state to think twice because this is not the place to cause trouble. You will be held accountable.”

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) revealed that the Texas National Guard would be deployed across the Lone Star state to quell possible violence, while Gov. Spencer Cox (R-UT) also had a message to send protestors: “Just a word of warning to anybody who is thinking about any type of violence or chaos or property damage or vandalism,” he said during a news conference.

“It will not happen here, and you will be held accountable,” Cox said. “We are going to be overprepared.”
