Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that Iran attempted to assassinate one of his sons, making the explosive allegation without saying which of his children was allegedly targeted, when the supposed plot took place or how close it came to being carried out.

The bombshell came almost in passing during a telephone interview with Israel’s Channel 14 on Monday about security arrangements for Netanyahu’s political rival Gadi Eisenkot, a former Israeli military chief who is challenging him ahead of the October 27 general election.

“This is an unbelievable case. Iran targeted one of my sons. Iran tried to murder him, tried to murder one of my sons,” Netanyahu said, arguing that round-the-clock protection for Eisenkot was “not a luxury” and warning that without it, the Iranians “will succeed.”

Netanyahu has two sons, Yair and Avner. He did not identify which one he was referring to, nor did he say where or how Iran allegedly planned to attack him.


 

Israeli media have separately reported that Netanyahu’s wife, Sara, and both sons were granted expanded state protection in July. Channel 12 reported that the alleged Iranian plot had been known to Israel’s security establishment for several months but had been subject to a military gag order.

The claim comes as Netanyahu faces a difficult reelection campaign. Successive surveys have put his governing bloc short of the 61 seats required for a parliamentary majority, while polls have shown Eisenkot competing closely with or overtaking Netanyahu and his Likud party. Reuters reported in July that surveys were pointing to a defeat for Netanyahu’s coalition, although the fragmented opposition also lacks a straightforward path to forming a government.

US President Donald Trump also claimed that Tehran had repeatedly tried to kill him – even before the initial salvo of US-Israeli strikes on February 28 killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.


 

“I got him before he got me,” Trump boasted in an interview with ABC News shortly after the strike that also killed Khamenei’s daughter Boshra and 14-month-old granddaughter Zahra, as well as a son-in-law and daughter-in-law.

During the NATO summit in Türkiye in July, Trump was secretly removed from Air Force One and transferred inside a catering truck to another military aircraft after Israel relayed intelligence about another alleged Iranian assassination threat. The extraordinary operation was concealed even from some members of his traveling party.

US intelligence reportedly assessed the Israeli-supplied information with “low confidence,” while Tehran has denied broader accusations that it sought to assassinate Trump or other American officials.

Asare saw little jail time for most of these offenses and spent a total of 75 days incarcerated for two breaking-and-entering convictions despite repeated criminal activity escalating in severity, which culminated in an alleged depraved sexual assault spree earlier this month.

On Aug. 1, he was arrested for sexual battery and indecent exposure after allegedly groping two women near a bus stop and was subsequently released pre-trial. On Aug. 6, he was again arrested for sexual battery for allegedly groping a woman near a park and again released pre-trial. On Aug. 12, he was arrested for attempted rape after firefighters heard screams and rescued a woman, allegedly from his clutches.

Like Iryna Zarutska before them, these four alleged victims, who were simply trying to board a bus or take a walk in a park, made the reasonable but increasingly inaccurate assumption that they were not in the presence of a violent criminal who had been arrested and released numerous times.

One of the women expressed sympathy and confessed, “It could be me.” A licensed therapist said, “Many of us see ourselves in Lindsay,” and described many women as “one step away” from murdering their children. Those defending Clancy have focused on how the medical system and society failed her. As a result, public sentiment is divided over whether she should be held criminally responsible for the killings.

There is nothing wrong with calling attention to psychosis or demanding accountability from the pharmaceutical industry and medical community for the misuse of potentially harmful medications. That question presents an uncomfortable mirror for the pro-life movement. Should Clancy’s circumstances transform the perpetrator into a victim and, ultimately, eliminate her criminal culpability? While many conservatives answer that justice for the Clancy children should prevail, conservative culture has operated the opposite way regarding prenatal children. Sounds good, but if the appropriately named Karen loses her LA mayoral race, we’ll get Democrat socialist City Councilwoman Nithya Raman, who would much rather cater to the homeless and let her district turn into part of the third or fourth world than she would to lift a finger to clean it up.

Wisconsin is now finding out that when you’re dealing with modern Democrats, oftentimes there simply are no sane candidates.

Rep. Francesca Hong (WI-76), the “old white people” hating socialist, was widely expected to win the Badger State Democratic gubernatorial primary, but in a neck-and-neck finish earlier this August, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley pulled out the win.

Good news, right? Sanity prevailed, and the more “moderate” candidate was chosen. Except, not so much. Turns out Crowley is a far-left extremist too, just maybe slightly less so than Hong.

NEW from @foxnews: @DavidCCrowley went all-in on DEI and the Green New Deal agenda in Milwaukee County.

He “embraced racial-equity budgeting,” expanded the county’s equity bureaucracy, and adopted climate plans that threaten even higher costs on Wisconsinites.

All while raising taxes on working families.

He calls himself a moderate, but Crowley is just another radical Democrat.

For a moment it may have seemed like sanity won out, but that’s getting to be an increasingly impossible prospect when dealing with 2026 Democrats, who have all but started to put pictures of Karl Marx on their campaign signs. Although the Dem establishment backed Crowley over the Fidel Castro wannabe Hong, he’s not actually all that much better:

David Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive who defeated Hong after being cast as the more moderate choice, has overseen racial-equity budgeting, expanded the county’s equity bureaucracy and urged the Wisconsin attorney general to sue fossil fuel companies for environmental-related damages. Meanwhile, Crowley has also shared ground with Hong on taxing millionaires and ambitious carbon-neutrality goals.

“Milwaukee County is known for its beer and brats, but unfortunately it’s also the epicenter of David Crowley’s budgetary boondoggles. Under Crowley’s failed leadership, residents received their largest property tax hike in 15 years, paid higher sales taxes for everyday purchases, and saw millions of their hard-earned tax dollars set up to finance Crowley’s Green New Deal ‘Net Zero’ scam for the county,” Wisconsin native and Republican consultant Mark Bednar told Fox News Digital.





Crowley’s Trump-backed GOP opponent, Rep. Tom Tiffany (WI-7), would like a word:

Wisconsin voters have a decision to make in November: do they want to become the next California? They averted the prospect of the Thanksgiving-hating Francesca Hong, but is David Crowley a step up? Survey says: nope.

Headlined Pope Leo’s Recent LGBTQ-Friendly Appointments Include Bishop Who Had Drag Queen Speak at Mass, the article draws heavily from a liberal Catholic Substack, Letters from Leo, authored by former Obama staffer Christopher Hale.

The article focuses on the installation of four reportedly pro-homosexual and pro-transgender bishops: James Checchio, appointed by Leo in February to head the Archdiocese of New Orleans; Bishop Ramón Bejarano, chosen in December to lead the Diocese of Monterrey, California; Bishop Christian Würtz, selected in by Leo in July 2025 as the new bishop of Eichstätt in Germany; and Baker, Oregon diocese’s Bishop Thomas Hennen, who at age 47 became the youngest bishop to head a diocese.
