After Cloud scored, the Fever called a timeout, and she ended up directing her energy at Freedom, who was sitting around the basket. Freedom got out of his seat and began walking toward Cloud, and immediately, security and Sky players got in the middle of the two.

An Obama-appointed judge once again temporarily barred the U.S. Postal Service from carrying out President Donald Trump’s restrictions on mail-in ballots in a Thursday ruling.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani lifted a preliminary injunction Wednesday after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that some of Trump’s limits could remain in place. The judge issued a new ruling reversing the previous decision, arguing that USPS overstepped its legal mandate, which once again blocked Trump’s rule.

Trump signed an executive order on March 31 titled, “Ensuring Citizenship Verification and Integrity in Federal Elections,” which established certain rules for the USPS regarding mail-in and absentee ballots. Section 3 of the executive order required all outgoing election mail to be marked as “Official Election Mail,” including a unique Intelligent Mail barcode and be pre-approved by the USPS for design and barcode placement. “Where a state or local election official does not obtain envelope and return envelope design approval, or does not upload voter information, or does not include unique intelligent mail bar codes on ballot envelopes, the U.S.P.S. will not mail ballots to voters,” the ruling stated.

Talwani argued that Congress did not delegate authority to the USPS to regulate election mail. She argued the rules would prevent citizens from voting by mail unless the USPS approved the ballots in a timely manner.

The judge further argued that imposing these rules on the states is unconstitutional. She placed a fourteen-day stay on the “implementation or enforcement” of the rules, which prevents USPS from taking these steps ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

“The court finds Plaintiffs likely to succeed on the merits of their claims that (1) the USPS lacked authority to issue the Final Rule; (2) the Final Rule is unconstitutional in imposing these requirements on the States; and (3) the Final Rule is unconstitutional in prohibiting non-compliant State and local officials from using the United States Postal Service to mail ballots,” the judge said.

Talwani initially barred Section 3 in an Aug. 11 ruling after the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts and other activist groups sued the administration over the executive order.

A court in California issued a similar injunction, which reached the Supreme Court in the case, Trump v. California. The high court stayed the injunction, allowing the administration to move forward with the executive order.

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that federal authorities seized internet domains associated with two Chinese hacking platforms used to target some of the nation’s most sensitive government institutions.

The platforms, known as QScan and QTRouter, were operated by a Chinese state-sponsored hacking group called QTFY, according to the Justice Department.

Federal officials said QTFY was employed by China-based Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company and provided computer intrusion services to paying customers, including China’s Ministry of State Security and People’s Liberation Army.

The hacking tools allowed malicious actors to infiltrate computer systems while concealing the country from which the attacks originated, prosecutors said.

Among the targets were the Justice Department, NASA, Federal Reserve and U.S. Senate. The Energy Department, Department of Health and Human Services and National Institutes of Health were also victims of QTFY-related intrusion activity, according to federal officials.

In two separate investigations, the Washington Free Beacon has exposed some questionable tactics the Democrats appear to be using to trick the electorate into thinking El-Sayed is someone he’s not. The first involves allegations that the El-Sayed campaign paid a black pastor $82,500 to host the controversial Democrat candidate at a “clergy round table” in order to try to shore up the black vote for the campaign.

The second investigation centers on revelations that a “Soros-funded fake news site falsely identified Abdul El-Sayed as ‘Veteran’” in a mailer that was sent to voters.

On the matter of that pseudo church donation, the Free Beacon reported that when El-Sayed showed up at that “’clergy round table’ with a black Detroit pastor to whom the El-Sayed campaign has quietly paid $82,500 for ‘strategic consulting,’” he did so after realizing that black voters aren’t all that into him.

SPD confirmed Wednesday that it will stop offering incentives to both entry-level recruits and experienced officers transferring from other agencies. Applicants already moving through the hiring process, along with those who apply before the end of August, will remain eligible for the bonuses.

“A decision has been made to stop the hiring incentives until a time when the budget forecast for the Seattle Police Department is clear,” SPD told KOMO News. “We have a responsibility to the people of Seattle to provide the best police service while also being fiscally responsible. “I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning,” Mamdani said. “My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss.”

Another oil tanker was blasted by a mystery projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, setting the vessel ablaze as Iran tightens its grip on one of the world’s most important shipping routes.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations issued a warning Thursday after local authorities reported that the tanker had been struck near Oman. The attack itself was reported Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. UTC.

“Local authorities have reported a tanker has been hit by an unknown projectile causing fire to the vessel which has since been extinguished,” the organization wrote in its warning.

“All crew are reported as safe and accounted for and there has been no report of environmental impact,” the warning continued.

No country or military group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack. The identity of the vessel was not disclosed, and officials did not reveal what type of projectile struck it.

Kelly said, “I think the secretary of defense has done the members of the military a big disservice by the way he’s been conducting himself in his job, getting on a stage, talking about killing people and lethality. And you know, that attitude from the top, it’s not healthy for members of the military to hear this. I mean, just the stuff he was saying today, so you could see why officers who have attended service academies—imagine if you went to West Point, and every day you’re walking by that plaque where it says when the law and orders are in conflict, you follow the law, and you think about that, you think about some of the things that the military is being asked to do.
