The establishment strikes back in New Hampshire Senate primary– www.theblaze.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
The political establishment has carried the day in the Senate primary elections in New Hampshire.
U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas (D-N.H.) won the Democratic nomination on Tuesday to succeed three-term Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, while former Sen. John Sununu captured the Republican nomination, setting up an open-seat general election critical to both parties’ hopes of running the Senate.
‘I’m New Hampshire.’
With nearly 88% of the expected vote counted, establishment favorite Pappas crushed socialist Karishma Manzur 65% to 33%, with the remaining Democrat vote split among David Jarvis, Maxwell Saal, and John Vail.
Sununu faced a challenge from former Massachusetts senator and Trump administration alum Scott Brown, but ultimately beat him 68.5% to 26.7%. Several other Republicans finished in the distant single digits.
New Hampshire has not elected a Republican senator since 2010, but August University of New Hampshire polling shows Sununu leading Pappas 45% to 43%.
“We’re taking nothing for granted, this is a purple state,” Pappas told MS NOW. “We’ve got a path to victory. But it’s going to be a tough race.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris carried the Granite State by just three points in 2024, with all 10 counties shifting right since 2020.

Pappas has represented New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District since 2019 and served on the state’s Executive Council from 2013 to 2019. He is co-owner of his family’s Puritan Backroom restaurant. Pappas received endorsements from Sens. Shaheen and Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) and Kamala Harris.
Pappas raised over $15 million during the primary campaign, dwarfing Manzur’s $415,081. Manzur tacked far to Pappas’ left, repeatedly accusing him of being a pro-Israel stooge and corporate cut-out.
“Chris Pappas’ hypocrisy is evident. He talks about getting big money out of politics, then turns around and takes bribes from special interests,” a Manzur campaign spokesperson previously told Blaze News. “He talks about standing up to Netanyahu, yet he has voted to send billions of our tax dollars to support Netanyahu’s war.”
On the Republican side, Sununu served in the House from 1997 to 2003 and the Senate from 2003 to 2009. His father and brother were both governors of New Hampshire.
“I’m New Hampshire. I said in my campaign announcement that I’ll have one job: standing up for New Hampshire every single day,” Sununu told the Dartmouth when asked about his primary challenger Scott Brown. “I’m not focused on another office or currying favor with anyone outside this state.
Brown previously served as senator from 2010 to 2013 after winning the special election prompted by the death of Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.). Brown supported Trump in 2016, netting him an ambassadorship to New Zealand and Samoa.
Sununu received President Donald Trump’s endorsement despite authoring a 2024 op-ed titled “Donald Trump is a loser” in support of Nikki Haley’s 2024 presidential campaign. Sununu later walked back the barb by saying the publication Union Leader chose the headline.
A UNH poll headed into Primary Election Day showed Sununu leading Brown 60% to 20%.

Students who use AI every day may be falling behind, while moderate users pull ahead– www.digitaltrends.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
I assumed more AI access might help students learn faster. However, a new OECD study dispels that misconception for me and everyone else who gave their children a paid version of AI chatbots, thinking it would help them through their educational journey.
According to PISA 2025 data from 760,000 students in 91 countries, students who use AI daily score meaningfully worse on standardized tests than their peers. The full picture is more complicated than a simple ban would fix.
So what exactly does the data show?
Daily AI users trail their peers by up to 28 points on science tests. The gap, per the research, is equivalent to roughly a year and a half of schooling. However, don’t rush into believing that less AI use is automatically better.
Students who use AI once or twice a week outscore both daily users and those who don’t use it at all. Those who’re using it to learn something are apparently performing better than those who use it to finish tasks faster.
Students regularly asked to critique AI-generated answers in class saw science scores climb 13 points, which is about half a year of additional progress.
Why does heavy use backfire?
OECD’s Andreas Schleicher (via Bloomberg) frames the difference in a simplified manner. AI is most beneficial when it supports some mental effort. That could be learning something new or how to do something, rather than getting it done.
A staggering 86% of students use AI for schoolwork at least once a year. However, their usage varies wildly by region. For instance, nearly 40% of Japanese students say they rarely touch it versus just 4% in Vietnam.
Related policy frameworks are catching up fast, too. New York City just banned AI tools for elementary and middle schoolers. MIT says it needs to redesign coursework, especially since AI can complete most undergraduate assignments.
If you’re a student reading this, using AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini to learn new concepts, ask follow-up questions, and use it as a superhuman professor is the right approach.
Stewart: ‘It Is a Contemptuous Position’ To Not Mandate Baking Gay Wedding Cakes– www.newsbusters.org
News Source
EXCERPT:
After taking all of August off, Comedy Central’s The Daily Show returned on Tuesday with host Jon Stewart welcoming Utah Gov. Spencer Cox to the show to promote his new book on helping Americans not hate each other as much. At one point Stewart questioned Cox’s commitment to the idea when he demanded to know why Cox hasn’t forced Utahans to bake cakes for same-sex weddings even if that would violate their religious beliefs.
The context for such a question was Utah making it illegal to fire someone for being gay but maintaining First Amendment protections for people such as wedding cake bakers. For Stewart, such a compromise was not good enough, “I think that it’s certainly an admirable effort. It is hard for me not to look at it as there is a vulnerable—there is a power disparity in that equation and that the gay community in Utah is not equivalent to the Christian community in Utah.”
Stewart further claimed, “You are asking a community of people whose humanity has not been recognized as total to accept that they will be—you will still be—we can’t fire you, but we will still view you as aberrant, and we will enshrine that in the law because it does—if you flip that and you say to somebody, ‘I will not bake a cake because you believe in Jesus for your wedding,’ I think you can see that that is a contemptuous position.”
Finally getting to something resembling a question, Stewart wondered, “And so asking a group that is traditionally less righted to accept a bargain for their humanity still strikes me fundamentally as—I don’t want to say contemptible, but boy, there are some synonyms that are hard for me—it is a hard one to swallow as a victory. Does that resonate in any way?”
Cox, who was the first conservative/Republican guest on a late night comedy show in 13 months, began to reply, “I mean, it resonates, but I don’t think that that was how it was viewed, and again, You can talk to them. I’ll let them have that conversation.”
Stewart then interrupted to joke that he won’t be doing that, “I’m not going to end up—I do one show a week, man! I spent my whole August reading this thing. Yeah.”
After the laughter from the audience died down, Cox resumed, “What I will say is those protections went both ways, and it’s not about contempt. It is about religious freedom, which is really important to people. You wouldn’t have to bake a cake for Christians if you didn’t want to. That is also included in the law. We’re not going to force you to do that piece. And yet at the time. Again, this was incredibly rare. It had never happened. Those types of protections in a red state, and it didn’t have to happen. That is the point.”
The last year has been defined by the late night comedy shows trying to portray themselves as the guardians of the First Amendment, but when it comes to defending the First Amendment rights of a common baker, Jon Stewart thinks the First Amendment is disposable.
Here is a transcript for the August 8 show:

JON STEWART: I think that it’s certainly an admirable effort. It is hard for me not to look at it as there is a vulnerable—there is a power disparity in that equation and that the gay community in Utah is not equivalent to the Christian community in Utah.
And so the difficulty I have in that, just being honest—
SPENCER COX: Yeah.
STEWART: —is that you are asking a community of people whose humanity has not been recognized as total to accept that they will be—you will still be—we can’t fire you, but we will still view you as aberrant, and we will enshrine that in the law because it does—if you flip that and you say to somebody, “I will not bake a cake because you believe in Jesus for your wedding,” I think you can see that that is a contemptuous position.
And so asking a group that is traditionally less righted to accept a bargain for their humanity still strikes me fundamentally as—I don’t want to say contemptible, but boy, there are some synonyms that are hard for me—it is a hard one to swallow as a victory. Does that resonate in any way?
COX: I mean, it resonates, but I don’t think that that was how it was viewed, and again—
STEWART: Right. Fair enough.
COX: You can talk to them. I’ll let them have that conversation.
STEWART: I’m not going to end up—I do one show a week, man! I spent my whole August reading this thing. Yeah.
COX: What I will say is those protections went both ways, and it’s not about contempt. It is about religious freedom, which is really important to people. You wouldn’t have to bake a cake for Christians if you didn’t want to. That is also included in the law. We’re not going to force you to do that piece. And yet at the time—
STEWART: Yeah.
COX: — again, this was incredibly rare. It had never happened. Those types of protections in a red state, and it didn’t have to happen. That is the point.
German far-right party taunts chancellor after its election triumph. He says it won’t win a majority– abcnews.com

EXCERPT:
BERLIN — A leader of Alternative for Germany taunted Chancellor Friedrich Merz in parliament Wednesday after it thrashed his party in a regional election. The German leader countered that the far-right party won’t win a majority in the country, assailing its stance toward Ukraine and rhetoric on migration.
Merz is under pressure after Alternative for Germany, or AfD, surged to its biggest win yet in the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt on Sunday, while the chancellor’s center-right Christian Democratic Union lost about half its support in the election.
The result underlined AfD’s skill in harnessing discontent with issues well beyond its core theme of curbing immigration as an unpopular national government struggles to turn around a stubbornly sluggish economy.
Two more states are scheduled to hold elections on Sept. 20: Berlin and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, an eastern state where AfD is strong but Merz’s CDU has long been weak.
AfD’s national co-leader, Alice Weidel, told Merz as she opened the annual budget debate in parliament that “in Saxony-Anhalt, people didn’t just punish you, they pulverized your party.”
“You haven’t understood the message that voters in Saxony-Anhalt sent you on Sunday,” she said. “But that isn’t relevant because your time has run out anyway. Citizens want a change of policy and they will get it.”
Weidel predicted future elections will produce “a clear mandate to govern” for her party.
A combative Merz responded that AfD’s state election result was “remarkable” but noted the party said during the campaign it would only govern with an absolute majority and then missed that target.
Voters “gave us, me as well, a clear message. But you don’t have the absolute majority, and you won’t achieve it in Germany. You won’t get majorities anywhere in Germany with these policies,” Merz said. “You are, and remain, Ms. Weidel, a destructive force.”
Merz pointed toward Weidel’s comments on Ukraine. AfD opposes aid to the country and advocates lifting sanctions against Russia.
“While the U.S. is making another attempt to end the murderous Ukraine war, you are stepping up the war propaganda and the confrontation with Russia, and burning the last bridges to distract from your own disastrous political record,” Weidel told Merz.
The chancellor vowed Germany will continue supporting Ukraine, and told AfD lawmakers that “your reactions only show that you obviously intend to continue the downright grotesque inversion of perpetrator and victim.”
He said “you clearly continue to stand by Russia when it comes to defending our freedom,” and noted Weidel didn’t mention an attempted drone attack at Germany’s Leipzig/Halle airport, which the government last week blamed on Russia.
Merz, whose government has moved to toughen migration policy, also attacked AfD’s use of the politically charged term “remigration” while pushing for more deportations.
“The word ‘remigration’ is nothing but a synonym for ethnic cleansing according to origin and skin color,” Merz told lawmakers, contending that implementing it would mean hospitals, nursing homes, restaurants and many businesses would be unable to work.
“That we must deport more is a consensus in the (governing) coalition,” Merz said, but it differentiates between people who work and are welcome in Germany and those who don’t have a right to residence.
AfD’s victory in Saxony-Anhalt was applauded by far-right parties across Europe. It also caught the attention of U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Wow! The Populist Party in Germany just had a really big night,” Trump said in a post on his Truth Social platform Tuesday.
“They finally got tired of the absolutely horrible Immigration rules and regulations which have hurt Germany so badly,” Trump added, without mentioning the party by name. “THEY ARE ON THE RISE, and not going to take it anymore!”

FLORIDA WARNS UK: Boycott Israel, Florida Will Boycott the UK– gellerreport.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
Britain’s threatened sanctions against Judea and Samaria will not come without a punishing price. Under Florida law, any company participating in a boycott of Israel can be stripped of state and local contracts, hit with civil penalties of at least $2 million and barred from bidding on public business for three years. As Rep. Randy Fine warns, British companies forced into London’s anti-Israel crusade could find themselves effectively shut out of one of Britain’s largest American trading partners—costing them billions. Florida’s law helped break Airbnb’s 2019 boycott of Jewish communities, and its message remains unmistakable: If Britain chooses to wage economic war on Israel, Florida can wage economic war on Britain. Boycott Israel—and Florida will boycott you.
Britain has formally announced the policy, not merely floated it. The UK will prohibit imports of goods from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and bar British companies from supplying financing, construction, infrastructure, real-estate and advertising services there. The measures are expected to take effect within six to nine months. France and Canada announced similar action, while several European governments pledged support.
Florida’s law is unusually broad because its definition of boycotting Israel expressly covers discrimination against businesses operating in “Israeli-controlled territories”—meaning Britain cannot evade it by claiming it is boycotting only Judea and Samaria, rather than Israel itself. Florida can terminate public contracts of any amount with participating entities, refuse future contracts and divest state investments after the statutory review process.
Britain’s boycott is not merely symbolic foreign-policy theater. By ordering British companies to discriminate against Jews doing business in Judea and Samaria, London is placing those companies on a collision course with Florida law—and potentially forcing them to choose between obeying Britain and retaining access to Florida’s lucrative public market. Britain wanted to punish Israel. It may instead punish its own companies, workers and economy.
As the British government considers forcing British companies to boycott portions of Israel, it should be aware that a Florida law that I passed as a member of the Legislature would ban any British company forced to comply from doing business with any state or local government in…
— Congressman Randy Fine (@RepFine) September 7, 2026
Congressman Randy Fine:
As the British government considers forcing British companies to boycott portions of Israel, it should be aware that a Florida law that I passed as a member of the Legislature would ban any British company forced to comply from doing business with any state or local government in Florida.
It would also end any British business participating in that boycott from doing any business in Florida if it needed any official interaction with state or local government to operate (permits, tax collection).
Florida is one of Britain’s largest trading partners. They should understand that their vanity project in support of Muslim terror could cost them billions of dollars.
And for those who doubt the power of this policy, it was this same law that broke Airbnb’s misguided effort to boycott portions of Israel in 2019. They realized that this law would have bankrupted their company.
Florida has made it clear. Any company — or nation — that boycotts Israel is boycotted by Florida.

Like many Democrat-run cities across the country, Seattle is a hot mess when it comes to combating crime, with city “leaders” often demanding hands-off approaches to things like confronting street thugs, repeat offenders, violent wacktivists, and the like.
Though this approach has been favored for some time now by the Democrats and socialists who hold all the power, Seattle’s openly socialist mayor, Katie Wilson, took things to a whole new level once she took office, making stupid and dangerous decisions like these, for example:

German vote shows rise of far-right in Europe, but it hasn’t been a steady march– abcnews.com
News Source
EXCERPT:
BRUSSELS — The first victory of the Alternative for Germany in a state election has renewed fears of an ascendant far-right in Europe, as voters repeatedly vent discontent and mainstream leaders grapple with myriad crises, from affordability to Russian aggression and scraps with China and the United States over trade.
But while anti-immigrant, pro-Russian parties have made inroads across the continent in recent years, there have also been notable reversals, and some have softened their views to build coalitions with moderates.
The AfD fell short of an absolute majority in Sunday’s vote in Saxony-Anhalt that would have allowed it to form the first far-right state government since the Nazi era — though it may still manage to do so.
Far-right leaders from Portugal to Austria celebrated the win as they ready for elections across Europe in the coming months. These will show whether the vote was a watershed moment in the demise of an anti-fascist consensus dating back to the World War II, or the latest in a series of elections worldwide in which frustrated voters simply cast out incumbents.
The far-right’s biggest success in recent years was the rise of Giorgia Meloni, who became prime minister of Italy, one of Europe’s most influential countries, at the helm of a party with neo-fascist roots.
But Meloni, who campaigned as an EU-skeptic, took a moderate turn in office that has won praise from across the continent and led to her presiding over the most stable government in decades. She now faces a challenge from the right, in the form of an upstart party led by a retired general.

“For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.
“Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” – Hebrews 4:8-13
Here is an update on our Hope Estates Project:
Last year, right before we were set to get our maintenance to protect our natural-gas powered steam heating system from freezing risks, we were hit with a deep freeze that lasted for days. To us, this was an act of God (in the figurative sense). While we could have avoided the disaster had we scheduled our maintenance earlier, there was little reason to believe we would experience the deep freeze that hit Canton in 2025.
Since that disaster, we have faced the reality that our project expense just doubled, minimally.
Now, we are having the whole steam heating system removed. We have had an estimate for a splitter solution, one that offers heating and cooling, but, in the end, we chose not to go with an option that requires many holes to be drilled into our stone walls. This might have been the cheapest solution, but cosmetically, it’s the worst.
For this winter, we are going to use a few industrial-strength heaters to keep our large spaces above freezing. We will be installing a new shower in one of our bathrooms and getting our roof repaired to the extent that it needs it. We have a slate roof that needs a good cleaning and some minor repair work.
My wife and I hope to be living there two weeks out of every month starting in the beginning of November. Once we can stay there, we can do more of the work that requires more elbow grease than cash. Next year, we will decide our final heating and cooling solutions.
Our Harrisburg project has seen a lot of improvement, with my brother Bill’s apartment mostly done save for some furniture that has yet to be removed. His apartment is on the third floor and the hallways and stairways are narrow, making this final move a challenge.
Once his apartment is ready, he can stay there more to help prepare the apartment my wife and I will be using. He can also begin to make more trips to D.C., where business opportunities abound.
The project has been challenging to all of us, especially because of health issues that first affected my wife, and now are affecting me (unrelated to hers). Even as I write this, I am battling an adrenal pots flair up.
Part of my health issues, though, are tied to this project, but really, are tied to my struggle to enter into God’s rest. Every morning when I wake up, since it became apparent how much we lost in the deep freeze disaster, I feel a lead weight on my chest, and the same basic thought, “how will we ever overcome this loss? How will our shared visions ever come into fruition?”
What began as a quest to build a Hope Exit Castle has turned into a quest to build Hope Exit Castles and “embassies” in four locations. Our second Hope Exit Castle Project in Harrisburg fell on us by necessity; we must provide for our mother, and help her fulfill a dream she’s always wanted, to see her property become a resource for her community.
Her dream aligns with our vision, so she has joined up with us. So far, we have myself, my brother Bill, my wife Jena, and our mother, Kymm, coming together for this project. All four of us share the vision, and all four of us hope to experience the joy and trials of serving our communities, one which we come from, and one which we are emigrating to.
Outside of us four, we have other people supporting us at various levels, some of which may join us more directly down the road. All told, there are roughly 12 of us invested in whole or in part in seeing this vision come into being.
I have such hope for all of us in our group to see the potential of our projects fulfilled, which will mean everyone will have platforms to fulfill their own unique callings to serve in the advancement of the Kingdom of God.
One of our members, Joe, hopes to use the sanctuary to run traditional Anglican services, which has been a dream of his for decades. My mother has dreams of creating gardens that supply food to the needy in both Harrisburg and Canton.
I have my own dreams, as does my wife, my brother, and the rest of us.
None of us have received direct knowledge from God about how our project will end up. God seems to have chosen to commit us to the work without the confidence we are “destined” to succeed. My wife and I, at present, have the most to lose if this project fails, and, to some degree, we feel the most responsible to make the project succeed (not that we should, only that we do).
The Apostle Paul had a similar worry. Like me, Paul was taking God’s responsibility, God’s will and purpose, and making it his.
In 2nd Corinthians 11, the Apostle Paul is excoriating the Corinthians for allowing false doctrines into the church and being seduced by “super apostles” who claim to have done greater works and performed greater miracles than Paul.
When listing the trials he has endured in the name of Christ, he ends it by confessing to a sin, the sin of anxiety, fear over things you cannot control. He says,
“And, apart from other things, there is the daily pressure on me of my anxiety for all the churches.” – 2 Corinthians 11:28
This confession of sin is a counter to his claims of endurance. He makes this clear by following the previous verse with this one: “Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to fall, and I am not indignant?”
Paul is a sinner, like us, a repentant one not walking in the habit, or practice of sin, but not wholly free from the heart of stone. As such, like us, he is weak, incapable of enduring the hardships he’s endured, and he is not courageous enough to face authority in the name of Christ, like he did.
The message is that the fruit of a servant of Christ is not in boasting of our good deeds, our miracles, but in demonstrated humility that comes through resting in the Lord, and not in your own works, “for whoever has entered into God’s rest has also rested from his works as God did from His.” (from Hebrews 11:10)
What we have endured, the four of us, in different ways, for the past two years, has been a severe trial. Yet our trials pale in comparison to Paul’s, and certainly to Christ’s. They probably pale in comparison with what some of you have endured these last two years as well.
Yet even in the middle of this disaster, we have received unexpected blessings that will enable us to initially invest more in this project than we previously thought. We’ve also received other blessings along the way that have softened the blow of this unexpected setback.
Above all else, though I have struggled with anxiety, my daily meditating on scripture has given me a foundation of truth and a certainty in the end of my earthly story, which ends in the presence of God eternally.
That Hope Exit is the only one God has assured for me, so far. The other Hope Exits we are working on will be testimonies either to our weakness overcoming great adversity through the Holy Spirit or a painless learning experience for others. Those who follow after us might then succeed in bringing a vision such as this to fruition, in part through our failures.
Our vision, plainly stated, is to create a living example of a missional extended family living in mixed space, private and public, to serve the community they are in. There are many ways to accomplish this vision, and for those reading now who have a similar vision, we hope you are working to bring yours to fruition as well.
I have learned through the years there is one thing you can control in life, the commitment to keep trying. Whether my end comes before or during the return of Christ, I hope to be found working towards building the Kingdom of God on that last day, come what may.
Surrendering outcome is not surrendering excellence in pursuit of outcome, it is entering into God’s rest, which is the whole story of creation.
In Daniel 4, I believe the vision given to Nebuchadnezzar is also for us. His second dream, along with Daniel’s interpretation, reveals, I believe, the whole story of creation. In that vision, he said “The sentence is by the decree of the watchers, the decision by the word of the holy ones, to the end that the living may know that the Most High rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will and sets over it the lowliest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)
To “know good and evil” for yourself is to rule yourself, and the whole of creation is working out the cost of ruling themselves, of refusing to enter God’s rest and allowing HIS will AND desire to overcome your own desires, even your own will.
It is in this spirit we continue our work, certain that it will end in our glory, through God’s glory, for all eternity. Beyond that, we will strive to be good stewards of our vision without making the vision an idol. This means entering into God’s rest so we can rest in our work.
For those of you who pray, I ask you to pray for us, especially me, that we may be good stewards working diligently to complete our vision while also entering God’s rest while we do it, come what may.
Let us rest while we work excellently to advance the Kingdom, through spiritual battles we currently face, and the ones still waiting for us to fight.

The report is divided into two parts.
The first part begins with our bellwether story of the month. Our bellwether story of the month is the Canada-US trade war.
After that, we have a summary of the major market indicators of the month, including a brief assessment.
We follow that with our “Agit Prop,” section, which features 4 bellwether examples of Progressive State Agit Prop in the media this month. Our report concludes with an overall assessment.
A. BELLWETHER OF MONTH: CANADA-U.S. CONFLICT
August 2026’s bellwether of the month is a bellwether of a larger story, the growing divide between Canada and the United States. Near the end of last month, President Donald Trump ordered a 50% tariff on major Canadian imports. This followed suddenly after the President claimed they were nearing a deal that would have avoided this tariff trigger.
This is our bellwether of the month because Canada’s straining relationship with the U.S. is a bellwether of the divide between most of the “West” and the United States. The growing divide is coming from the West’s commitment to progressive wokism and this administration’s existential attacks on progressive woke institutions (both domestically and internationally).
Canada continues to sound more in line with the CCP than it does the U.S., and its woke values are increasingly anathema to American ones. First, they assaulted self-defense by effectively banning gun possession in public, then they passed progressive woke laws that criminalized dissent from the orthodoxy of the new state religion.
Canada has effectively become a woke theocracy, making it more aligned with Hamas and the CCP than its southern neighbor. The fact that Canada is now in danger of becoming more ideologically aligned with America’s greatest rival, China, makes it an increasing threat to American security.
President Trump recognizes this, but “American” progressives don’t value an American superpower, they want a progressive worldwide caliphate. America the superpower defends nation-states from the world empire the progressives hope to build.
To progressives on our soil, the sovereignty of the American state is an ongoing enemy of the world progressive caliphate.
After President Trump announced his tariffs, the Canadians quickly responded with tariffs that match ours. Now that President Trump has secured oil reserves from Venezuela, it looks like the Canadians might be on the losing side of this trade war.
Canadian Finance Minister François-Philippe Champagne announced, “… Canada will match the United States tariffs dollar for dollar, rate for rate. Effective September 8, Canada will impose counter tariffs of up to 15, 25 or 50 percent on 27.6 billion in imports from the United States of America. For each product, our tariff would match the American tariff on the same type of Canadian good.”
Canadians are already suffering, while Americans have yet to existentially notice.
The last act of the trade war that closed out the month was President Trump renaming one of the great lakes, Ontario, to Lake America. The message to Canada was clear, “we mean to assure your soil will not become bases for the CCP.”
President Trump said of the decision, “Canada treats us very badly. People oftentimes they’ll ask me who’s the worst to deal with on trade, and I said that’s easy. Canada, they are the worst, and they feel entitled, and just we can’t have that. We have a Gulf and we have a Lake – now all we need is an ocean. Maybe we’ll have to change the name of the Atlantic and/or the Pacific. Maybe we’ll change them both.”
What most Americans don’t realize is the world is reshuffling to match the reality of power it will discover in its quest to build the best AI beast on the planet, or be on friendly, flourishing terms with that best AI beast.
Every nation that can do so is looking to secure resources, through soil or alliances, and Canada is an emerging battlefield in that war, courting Europe and China while risking provoking a dangerous neighbor. This was the message Trump was sending to Canada, “we are a dangerous neighbor to those willing to bring our enemies to our borders.”
Canada’s state-run media, CBC, issued a memo effectively commanding its reporters to not report on 9/11 as if it were a terrorist attack. When they received blowback, they tempered their language. The RNC responded to this clear message from the Canadian government, this hostile message directed at the heart of the American people, by banning them from their midterm convention.
I would like to remind the RNC that the Progressive State Media, the MSM, report on this trade war in the exact same way the CBC does.
This is because they are all part of the same project, the progressive worldwide caliphate, with representatives at the highest levels of power around the world, especially in the “Western countries,” especially in the majority white countries.
- NOTE: “Caliphate” is being used figuratively, not literally, but the spirit of both the Islamist and Progressive Project is the same. They both require complete world conquest to bring heaven to earth.
There have been no significant updates since the end of August as of the completion of this report.
B. U.S. POLITICS
- 2026 ELECTIONS – ONE TELLING POLL – A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll reveals 36% of Americans trust the Democrats more with bringing down the cost of living compared to just 28% of Republicans.
JUDICIAL – The next U.S. Politics bellwether is Judgefare, where we cover more judicial actions connected to the midterms.
The key judicial actions have come from a SCOTUS ruling upholding President Trump’s Mail-in Vote orders and another from a Obama judge that, once again, blocks it. The Trump administration has already appealed this decision back to SCOTUS.
The Federal Judge claimed USPS was overstepping its authority by following the Trump order, which SCOTUS allowed to continue.
MASS MAILER ELECTION – Had the SAVE America Act passed, mass mailer elections would be a thing of the past. Voters would once again have to provide a valid reason for using mail-in votes over voting booth votes. Progressive rearguard protector John Thune made sure that any hope of passing the SAVE Act and implementing it before the midterms would die in the summer recess he facilitated.
The Trump administration isn’t taking this lying down, its assigning DHS agents to monitor the voting centers suspected of committing mass mailer election fraud.
We all understand where the fraud is most likely coming from, sand-bagged mail-in ballots created from the registered “voters” who don’t belong on that list, be they dead or a non-citizen.
The DHS is hoping to make it difficult for the progressives to deliver that last round of election fortification, votes in reserve to apply when the election is close enough to steal.
DNC-CCP – The ideological alignment between the rising star in the Democratic Party, the Democratic Socialists of America, and the Chinese Communist Party was made transparent when the DSA committed to following “Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.”
This follows news mostly ignored by the Progressive State Press that the DHS discovered sensitive Chinese parts in American voting machines.
The DSA also openly announced plans to infiltrate American unions and turn them into revolutionary armies. Their goal is “to reconnect the labor movement to the socialist movement in order to strengthen the militancy and class consciousness of the multiracial, multigendered working class to fight capitalism.”
This “heaven through violence” approach to life is wholly in keeping with Chairman Xi, but an existential threat to the spirit of George Washington.
DSA – The rise of the Democratic Socialists of America is really the rise of the Democratic Party’s true nature emerging. They are the quiet part out loud. At the heart of the rise of Democratic power has been the claim the white devil invented evil.
With that claim, they have “convinced” a whole generation of white youths, especially girls, that the path to jump to the front of the generational power line is to destroy your own race’s good standing in the world. Do this, and you can rule your dad.
Though they are the children of the establishment’s claims to power (the white devil, and white savior lie), they also want to take the establishment’s place. The ideology of political violence cultivated by the Democratic Party through education and media institutions has created a monster who took all their lies to heart, and now seek to use those claims to justify destroying their creators.
Even the Unions won’t touch the DSA, choosing instead to not endorse any candidate where the “Democrat” is a DSA member.
The rise of the DSA gives the “moderate” Democrats a false counter to seem more reasonable, but every violently anti-American policy of the DSA is mostly the same policy of the Democratic Party. One wants to push on the gas and drive the car into the wall, come what may, for the cause of heaven on earth, the other wants to save the car and ultimately re-assert control over the monster it created.
One of the so-called moderates, Pete Buttigieg, is openly calling to end the electoral college and expand SCOTUS to assure the progressive state is the de facto new constitution (through judicial sophistry).
The DSA would simply dismantle the constitution, the “moderates” would simply “reinterpret it.” A “living document” is a dog whistle for judicial constitutional authorship.
It is through the DSA that Islamists have found an audience and a path to power. The candidates chosen have ties to terrorist groups and long histories of anti-American activism.
They are a great source for street fighters, and more than willing to use the white devil lie to create white ally armies willing to give power to people who ultimately want to kill them. They are the wanna-be white saviors not understanding how the story of the true savior ends, with his unrighteous execution, then his resurrection.
The problem with the Democratic Party is without the street fighters, they would have no real power at all. If the street fighters were not either called by the education centers and media centers or funded by domestic and foreign powers, the power of the Democrats would vanish overnight
Without fear, the Democrats have no hold on this land.
The DSA fared extraordinarily well this primary season, racking up many victories, including numerous U.S. Senate nomination victories. They also suffered an unexpected loss that might have shown the establishment Democrats are willing to use the Mass Mailer Election power against the DSA as well as Republicans.
They will enter the general election with a real chance to become the most powerful faction in the Democratic Party, and with a party in control of both the House and the Senate.
GERRYMANDERING – The gerrymandering wars this month were a plus one for the Republicans, who gained a seat in Missouri. The Democrats’ efforts to eliminate a GOP seat in Maryland failed after a Judge struck down a referendum.
TEXAS – The Texas Senate Race between progressive Christian blasphemer James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton is a lot closer than some would have predicted. One reason for the close race may be the refusal of John Thune’s GOP to fund Paxton’s race. They claim they don’t have the money to spend on Texas after spending millions trying to protect the incumbent GOP Senator, John Cornyn, from losing to Paxton in the primary.
When a former Cornyn aid joins the Talarico campaign, like Jack Smith did, it becomes more apparent what’s going on. It also becomes more apparent the “establishment” GOP is the progressive state as well, the rear guard of the progressive state, as we are now calling them.
TRUMP CANDIDATES – Almost all the candidates in the August primaries that President Trump endorsed won their nomination races. This includes the late Senator Lindsay Graham’s sister, Darline Graham. She won her run-off primary in South Carolina.
One glaring exception was the unexpected loss of Andy Ogles, who lost his bid for a third U.S. House term to Tennessee Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Charlie Hatcher. He has been an ardent Trump supporter, voting with Trump every time he could.
- JUDGEFARE – LOVING CRIME – A report by The Federalist connects the dots to the Progressive State’s de facto judiciary being created right before our very eyes. It is an institution in which the people getting paid to provide alternative services to incarceration are also the main fundraisers for the judges who favor criminals over American Rule of Law.
The report doesn’t connect another dot we suspect is almost as obvious, the funding of these organizations by foreign powers, including the CCP.
The reporter, James Silberman, summarized the progressive state’s judiciary versus America’s judiciary. He wrote, “For the left, the relevant question when it comes to criminal law is not whether punishment works to deter criminals or protect the public; it is whose power is increased and whose is diminished by the criminal justice system.
‘Reducing incarceration and shrinking policing are thus the mechanisms by which power is stripped from traditional, intrinsically right-leaning institutions (such as police) and given to alternative, leftist-controlled social welfare organizations… “
The progressive judges, at all levels, are becoming more aggressive and assuming more and more progressive values over American ones. For instance, they rule in favor of “equality” over “security” unless that “security” is progressive state power.
BLOCKING TRUMP – This month, there was a spate of rulings against President Trump and the American people by progressive state judges. Trump is being blocked from seeing voter rolls of progressive states, for voter rolls are the heart of progressive power.
The more they can create registered voters, the easier they can control election outcomes wherever mass mailer elections are the standard.
Progressive judges side with “equality” and “voter disenfranchisement” over what is basic common-sense total voter disenfranchisement by allowing such built-in lack of verification to an election process.
They free ISIS terrorists, fail to prosecute overt voter fraud, defend Chinese companies from Pentagon scrutiny, protect illegal alien commercial drivers from being detected by the DHS, and block the Federal government from being able to screen who comes into our country.
This all happened in the month of August alone. The month ended with SCOTUS overthrowing an earlier injunction on the President completing the work of the new White House Ballroom.
TRUMP WINS – We cannot yet count the SCOTUS ruling on the President’s Mail-In Vote order a win, as we covered in our 2026 Election section. Outside of that he did have a couple key wins, including the SCOTUS ruling allowing the work on the White House ballroom to continue.
An attempt to use barfare to target a high-ranking Federal DA was quashed when the Florida bar association rejected the complaints against him.
A Federal Judge has restored the President’s power to end deportation protections for Sudanese migrants.
It remains to be seen if his Mail-In Vote order will require states to verify a voter is behind the ballot or not.
C. GEOPOLITICS
- IRAN WAR – What is becoming increasingly obvious is the Trump Presidency is depending on an absolute defeat of the Iran regime for a number of reasons; one of which includes the AI war with China and the other includes the midterms. A victory in Iran would change the economic dynamic of the region, and thus the world, and thus America, overnight.
A bullish stock market just before the midterms would do much for the President, but a victory over Iran amongst those who still love America would do even more. It would restore faith in a Presidency being doubted by his own MAGA camp.
A recent poll towards the end of August reveals support for the war has hit an all-time low, but another poll shows Americans strongly favor Iran’s removal from the Strait of Hormuz.
As we have pointed out in past reports, the President has yet to advance an effective narrative to show the American people why the war isn’t in service of Israel, it’s in service of the AI war with China.
We have also pointed out why it is a risk for him to do so, for it will force China to engage overtly if he does. The President’s recent comment congratulating China’s restraint in the Iran War gives credence to that supposition.
This month, the war began with another tenuous ceasefire, but now such talks appear over. Rumors of the current Ayatollah’s death have yet to be affirmed, though it appears more likely than not that this is true.
At one point, following a major U.S. strike, the Trump administration switched to total economic warfare, and aggressively demanded U.S. allies follow along or risk being removed from the U.S. dollar system. This is a bold move that risks rendering the U.S. dollar no longer the world reserve currency.
Efforts by Iran to cut a security deal with Oman over Strait of Hormuz control were cut off by the U.S., who warned Oman they would be bombed if they continued along with the deal.
When South Korea refused to commit to full support for the U.S’s war against Iran, Trump countered by reducing joint military participation with the nation, which seems to be gravitating back towards China’s orbit.
All of this shows how committed the U.S. is to affecting regime change in Iran, to block China off from Persia’s ports and resources and gain a foothold to retake the vast AI resource-rich country of Afghanistan, which is currently in the Chinese orbit.
Signs of U.S. military fatigue are either being shown or erroneously reported. The return of the overtaxed USS Abraham Carrier group and replacement by a fresh carrier task force helps, but news over overworked sailors appears at least partially credible.
Rumors of low U.S. munitions stocks are not verified, but common sense would suggest the U.S. might be struggling to keep the constant barrage supplied. Knowingly reporting on classified reports that show shortages would be considered treason if a formal Act of War had been declared.
The Strait itself appears either largely re-opened or re-engineered for alternative paths that avoid Iran’s projection of power.
The progressive state press has done little to support the American war, rather they have reported as if they were in Tehran, working for the Islamists currently slaughtering their own citizens on the streets.
The regime is struggling within its borders, though no significant uprising has formed. Executions of protestors and citizens at random are increasing from the IRGC, which appears no longer able to pay its soldiers. Still, these unpaid soldiers have nowhere else to go, for they are known killers of family members.
- UKRAINE WAR – Attrition appears the name of the game in the war in Ukraine, that and its continued vanguard position in drone warfare development. It is now also becoming the vanguard of integrating AI into your war strategy.
Elon Musk’s green light on the use of Starlink to aid Ukraine’s drone warfare efforts could prompt the Trump administration to grant that power to Ukraine as well. This would be a major boost to Ukraine’s drone war efforts.
The Ukrainians are becoming increasingly good at using drones to strike Russian resources well within its borders, and the Russians are getting adept at doing the same.
While we get reports of strikes that kill civilians, the strikes seem mostly targeted for critical resources, like military equipment, oil fields, power stations, etc.
The war has developed a new sport, remote drone human hunting. People pay to remotely control drones that stalk their targets for some time before killing them.
The war risks expansion to a broader European Theater, but it has already brought in foreign fighters from as far away as North Korea. Tens of thousands more may soon be coming.
Russia is violating the air space of more NATO members and has now taken to threatening Britian with military action over its supply of drones and drone expertise to Ukraine.
Europe is responding by beefing up defenses, while Russia threatened to start seizing Western ships. Russia is also building drone bases close to NATO borders, and NATO members are noticing.
A sudden secret meeting by CIA Director John Ratcliffe with Russian officials (who may or may not have included Putin) was allegedly to prevent Russia from launching an attack on NATO.
This isn’t the only secret meeting being reported (yes, we see the irony in that). Another secret meeting allegedly took place between former European and Russian officials attempting to find a path towards peace talks with Ukraine.
In Russia, a bank run was triggered by rumors the Kremlin would raid savings accounts to pay for the war. That rumor was triggered by another rumor, one reported by Ukrainian President Zelensky, that Russia would soon be drafting 300,000 soldiers to join the war in Ukraine.
Zelensky still doesn’t seem stable at home, having recently dismissed a defense minister, a U.S. ambassador, and declaring he cannot hold elections during the war, even though many other countries have in the past (including America, during the Civil War).
One story that remains under the radar is news that Croatia has ordered a Ukrainian man to be arrested and detained for suspicion of blowing up the Nord Stream pipeline. The man is believed to be in Croatia, but he is wanted in Germany.
D. CULTURE
Abortions are on the rise thanks to AI’s normalization of abortion and the ease with which women and girls can obtain the “abortion pill.” The ease of acquiring the pill is leading to spikes in reported forced abortions by men attempting to either cover up their rapes or free themselves from financial liability. Abortionists are fighting against the “stigmatization” of the work they do, murdering unborn children.
One state, Massachusetts, legalized abortion up to birth while another state, Virginia, has a ballot initiative to do the same. There are now 10 states that have legalized abortion up to birth, and those states have fallen below population replacement levels, a goal of the progressive state.
In our last MIA, we covered the Lindsay Clancy story, the story of a woman who strangled her children to death, one at a time. She hopes to escape prison by claiming she suffered from post-partum psychosis. A verdict has STILL not yet been reached as of the completion of this report, but the divide identified in our report has only increased, with Clancy supporters doubling down on their support.
One Clancy supporter was arrested for allegedly threatening the jury. She faces 20 years in prison for her crime.
Her story reflects the divide between the American and Progressive views of children. The American view of children is that we adults are here to serve them, to give them the opportunity to steward their own lives. Their “usefulness” is in their creation alone.
To the progressive, life is useful only if it serves the party or the person. For the progressive woman, a child is automatically an invader, a parasite, who must justify their dependence by being useful to the mother.
The story of a surrogate mother who fled from California to Texas to protect the baby inside her from the parents’ command to abort the child has become THE bellwether of the spirit of abortion in the land. One woman risked life and limb and freedom to save a child while a progressive couple sought to use the state to force her to murder the life growing in her.
California supported the murderers, and continues to do so, for now the child that the mother safely delivered in Texas is in the hands of the couple that wanted to murder him. They claimed it was a woman’s right to choose, until it wasn’t. The surrogate mother faces death threats from “pro-choice” militants.
- TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGY – A study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has revealed transgenderism and militant accelerationist progressivism have a direct correlation with one another. The study’s title suggests the conclusion, “Where the Clinic Meets the Movement: Does Gender Ideology Arm Left-Wing Authoritarian Psychology?”
The answer, they assert, is a resounding yes.
Underneath the radar is the sudden suspension of charges against a trans activist gang with suspected ties to multiple murders.
The HHS has also uncovered $50 million in fraudulent insurance claims connected to underage “gender medicine.” The HHS produced a 64-page report called “Wolves in White Coats: How Doctors and Hospital Pushed and Profited from the Fraud of ‘Gender Medicine’.
A UCLA Student Paper shows how transgenderism is the tip of an American Rule of Law killing spear. This one is aimed at the First Amendment. The paper puts forth the assumed objective truth that misgendering should not be considered free speech because it traumatizes transgendered people. It gives no consideration to how it harms others who would be forced at the end of the government gun to declare beliefs they not only don’t share but stand directly opposed to.
This is simply violence as a means of political persuasion, a common theme in progressivism, but especially as it is attached to the transgender activists, including those recently nominated by the Democratic Party to serve in the national legislature.
The WNBA continues to be a bellwether of the transgender ideology’s influence in America. We reported on this last week in our report “Useful Life Versus Sacred Life – Two Bellwethers of the Great Cultural Divide.”
From that report, Paul Gordon Collier wrote, “Wherever progressives have power to enforce conformity to the belief that gender is fluid, they use whatever coercive measures they can to do so. Outside of civic and corporate power, street fighter progressives continue to physically assault and threaten to violently disrupt any public support for the belief that the female human adult is the only possible woman.
“The belief in gender fluidity in and of itself is not a threat to anyone; the coercive application of that belief is an existential violation of the root of American rule of law, the self-stewarded individual.
“In order for you to be American, you must minimally commit to the supposition that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these (and most essentially) are the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
“There is no liberty when the state or the corporation has the power to force belief on Americans. Such institutional actions should have never been tolerated, let alone allowed to become the guiding principle of these institutions.
“The WNBA’s response to a man wearing a shirt claiming only biological human females can be girls and women has been to treat him like a terrorist about to start a mass murder event. In the mind of the progressive, dissent from the sacred assumptions of the faith is viewed as being worthy of death.
“This is not an exaggeration. This is fact.”
Pennsylvania’s progressive governor, Josh Shapiro removed female as a descriptor of females and replaced “new mothers” with “postpartum individuals.” The singular act by a governor to fundamentally undermine a gender binary normative should be considered an act of treason, but in our land, we have mostly become inured to progressive violations of American Rule of Law.
The spirit of America is dim, though not dead.
The act itself is the state seeking to normalize compelled speech, especially compelled speech the state knows is not true.
To force a man to lie with a smile on his face is to own that man’s very will.
Perhaps the time will come when Shapiro’s simple gesture will be seen as the act of war against the American Republic that it was.
While Shapiro fights to institutionalize the progressive state, Trump is seeking to undo its institutional power, warning public schools to stop pushing child transgenderism, calling it child abuse (which, we would agree, it is). He is also ending Medicaid funding for sex-change procedures for children, which may one day be seen as America’s Mengele moment.
The judiciary delivered some wins as well, including compelling a settlement for a woman who was forced by a hospital to adhere to the woke standards of transgenderism, and a First Circuit court ruling ending a school’s prohibition on pro-biological gender displays.
E. SCI-TECH
- SOCIAL MEDIA WATCH – The frontlines of the global social media battle continue to be “child safety” and “misinformation,” with both becoming opportunities of revenue and backdoor means of internet control by government agencies at various scales, from nation-state to local.
Unless there is a massive reversal in trends, we see the potential for the loss of meaningful global digital discourse at a massive scale within the next 10 years. Nation-states and zones like the EU are becoming increasingly zealous of internet control tailored to their particular self-serving interests.
Social media at a time when many nation-states already know the masses are going to be “asked” to make great sacrifices for the good of the whole is fire to the flames they know they are about to fan with their draconian legislation.
Americans support stronger oversight of social media by the state, including regulations to keep children off of it. The polls don’t ask if they support digital ID confirmations with every internet sign-in as a price for that “child safety” measure.
Progressive Britian is still hoping to have such restrictions in place in their proffered Internet “Child Safety” Laws. China accomplished this long ago. Canada is working on similar “solutions” to “protect the children.”
The courts around the world are already delivering child safety “wins” to governments. Meta paid out $1 billion in one child safety lawsuit, and over $16.7 billion in a child addiction settlement. TikTok paid out $400 million in a child privacy settlement. A U.S. Court declared open season on social media companies, denying the lawsuit immunity claims.
Conservatives are in on the power grab, with Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz introducing five bills that require some form of age verification to visit certain sites. Many major sites, like YouTube, are included in that list. One such bill is called “The SCREEN Act.”
A progressive state surrogate, 404media, calls it a “Christian Nationalist Nightmare,” but that might be only because it’s conservative power that is attempting to define the reasons for age verification and not progressive power.
For instance, the website doesn’t seem to object to California’s recent legislative efforts to “ban addictive social media features” to protect teens and children. The actions proposed in progressive states are similar to what Ted Cruz is proposing.
For Americans, this would be considered an overt assault on our Due Process, Freedom of Association, and Freedom from Unreasonable Search and Seizure rights as citizens of a constitutional republic.
New Zealand hopes to join the growing list of nation-states using child safety to monitor citizens’ online usage.
Australia’s first attempt at using Digital ID to keep children off dangerous sites, like TikTok, has already turned out to be a flop, as children have figured out how to keep accessing TikTok despite the government ban. Now the question is, will Australia arrest hundreds of thousands of Australian children for violating the ban?
One story under the radar is the decision by President Trump to sell advance notice of his posts on Truth Social to a select group of high-end investors. On its face it seems patently unconstitutional. We covered this in an earlier Bellwether Report. Now, Truth Social is being sued for selling advance Presidential notice to investors.
- AI DATA CENTERS – President Trump has his finger on the pulse of the new geopolitical reality, even if he is unable, due to strategic reasons, to clearly articulate them. He is operating with a clear understanding of the necessity of winning the AI War with China and the EU Bloc, fundamentally (with the EU block being the only other viable center of power in contrast to the China bloc and the US bloc).
His strategic inability to articulate the AI War to the American people is not what’s behind his tone deafness regarding AI data centers. He is tone-deaf in terms of their real impacts on American communities. We concede there is progressive and foreign agit prop overhyping the impact of AI centers on communities, but they have a lot of truth to exploit as well.
We also question the speed and the scale the President is pushing for in building this infrastructure. It is a questionable strategy to go all-in too fast on massively expensive and resource-demanding machines that could quickly be outdated.
He is fighting an overwhelming anti AI data center tide. AI Data centers are becoming central political issues at all levels of government, from local to national. From Texas to Pennsylvania, governments are moving to ban or restrict AI data center development.
Conservatives are now openly joining the “winning” team. But not all conservatives. Some conservatives are hoping to sell the jobs the AI Data Centers produce, but this promise would mean nothing if outside corporations simply import their high-level staff and leave minimal career flourishing opportunities for the locals.
Taylor Budowich, president of the Innovation Council, is behind such a sales pitch. He exclaimed, “I think part of the problem is actually the premise, which is we’re thinking about it in political terms. I’m a believer of the Reaganism, good policy makes good politics. So the question should be what’s good policy here?
“I think good policy is not a single shovel should go in the ground, not a single slab of concrete should be laid, if there’s a data center that’s taking from the community. These data centers, this industry, shouldn’t be draining our communities, it should be feeding our communities.”
The idea here is to create agreements that assure local flourishing as a result of these Data Centers, not just outside expert importing.
Good policy is not good government when great power is the prize to be won or lost by “playing the government game.”
Budowich is either naïve or simply content marketing. Either way, it is not a serious proposal to turn the tide against what we even consider an overblown response to the threat of AI data centers, though hardly a completely unwarranted one.
Our trepidation comes from our skepticism that “good deals” will be cut for locals and good practice will be paid to protect the local environment from poisoning. Our trepidation also comes from our skepticism that these massive machines will long live out their usefulness.
It is possible, as we have suggested in our AI report, that, through IP firewalls, the state could effectively nerf, or cripple, access to AI technology at a global level, assuring the big beasts that tilt the balance of power back towards the large scale remain the “most advanced” AI technology in the world.
While that remains a possibility, we don’t consider that a likely outcome. We suspect garage geniuses are already inventing new methods of storage control, new methods of power generation, new methods of chip manufacturing, all lowering the demand for energy, water, and rare earth minerals.
One thing emerging from nations unable to compete with AI development is competition to become a region’s AI Data Center hub. Mongolia is an ideal nation for AI Data Centers, as it is largely uninhabited. With portable nuclear power, local power sourcing would not be an impediment. It is hoping to become Asia’s AI Data Center hub.
F. MARKET
The Labor Market appears to have relatively stagnated, but largely because of the loss of government jobs, 53,000, as compared to 30,000 private jobs being created.
While inflation has settled in at 3.4%, it is not decreasing, therefore it has yet to fall below the 2% the Fed had previously suggested it needed to be before interest rate cuts happened.
President Trump’s recent Venezuela oil deals and Pharma deals could offset some of the real inflationary pressures of the economy.
One thing that hasn’t slowed down is factory construction. While the numbers have slightly retreated, with the ISM Manufacturing going from 55.6 in July to 54.6 in August, they still remain strong. Any number above 50 indicates strong factory construction growth. This is the eighth month in a row that target number has been exceeded.
Consumer spending has remained relatively flat, with little change expected in the August report (not released at the time of this report).
A lot depends on the ability of the U.S. military to secure the Strait of Hormuz, and a coalition of nations to secure the Red Sea to relieve some of the inflationary pressures on this economy. Some of that includes the increased cost for global shipping and the increased cost in energy, and the trickle up effect energy cost has on almost every industry that needs it.
Silently, a massive new factory infrastructure is being built in America that has yet to be fully built, let alone fully activated. But against that backdrop is the looming cost of AI that is, as of now, unmonetizable and likely continue to be when the bill comes due.
We consider the market highly volatile, though trending upward, especially for the American market. The longer the Iran War continues (or, even worse, the mullahs remain in power after the war), the more likely that economy will face a significant downturn.
G. AGIT PROP
- MASS MAILER VOTING – These two headlines capture the progressive state narrative used to protect their heart of power; fake registered voters that can be used to assure elections turn out the way the party wants it to.
Mass Mailer elections with rigid safeguards are still gameable through block vote harvesting. This is a method of gathering block votes for the party from whole apartment complexes, churches, mosques, homeless shelters, nursing homes, etc.
Mass Mailer elections without rigid safeguards, such as we have today, allow for the non-citizen, dead citizen, fake citizen vote, the ballots in-pocket, used only as needed in select races that guarantee overall preservation or taking of power.
A Trump Judge Called Mail-In Ballots a Threat to Democracy – Mother Jones – This headline from Mother Jones sets the tone by starting out with “A Trump Judge….” This lets its progressive audience know what follows next is on-its-face, common sense, as plain as day, unfounded nonsense of the highest order.
That unfounded nonsense is “Called Mail in Ballots a Threat to Democracy.”
The word “Democracy” is THEIR word, not conservatives, or even Americans. We both prefer “Republic.” The judge using the word “Democracy” gave progressives meme-able ammo; the very notion of conservatives calling something so “Democratic” as Mail-In Ballots is obviously ludicrous. That’s like calling the sun the moon! Or a biological female a WOMAN!
As for any concerns about ballots that are not verified to be sent by actual citizens who actually chose the selections on the ballot, this is what Mother Jones has to say about that,
“There is no evidence that mail-in ballots are ‘prone to fraud.’ An analysis from the Brookings Institution found an ‘average total mail voting fraud percentage across the 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2022 general elections of only 0.000043 [percent].’ Or, about 4 votes per 10 million votes. Mail-in voting can be very important for disabled and aging people, who otherwise may have to deal with accessibility challenges with getting to the polls and access issues when voting itself.”
Brookings Institute is part of the network of the Progressive State Press.
There you have it, no worries there. Progressives, trust us, right now we’re cheating to protect the world from the white devil. When the white devil is vanquished, we’ll stop cheating, promise.
Homeland Security Agents Were Pulled from Major Criminal Investigations to Hunt for Noncitizen Voters – Latin Times – This headline would presume that noncitizen voters are not an existential threat to the American republic and the integrity of the whole election process.
The article goes for the jugular, connecting the pursuit of the removal of non-citizen voters from the voting rolls and the streets to pedophiles getting away with rape. They say this while they support mandatory sex talk by public school teachers with children as young as six.
They claim, “The shift affected ongoing criminal investigations as ProPublica found, for example, that an Ohio HSI agent leading a multistate child sexual abuse investigation was reassigned in February to pursue dozens of suspected noncitizen voters, delaying work on the other case for months.”
The article would have you believe these agents are all tracking down non-citizen voters handfuls at a time. Most of them are investigating previous and ongoing elections looking for evidence of non-citizen voting to arrest non-citizen voters and officials who knowingly allowed it, and to remove those non-citizens from the voting rolls.
We are a republic, whose authority is affirmed by two things, the will of the people for that government to rule, and the government’s self-restraint in recognition of the self-stewarding rights (expressed in our Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights) of its citizens.
This protects the minority from the tyranny of the majority. This is why we call ourselves a republic and not a democracy.
The progressives have long been seeking to remove one barrier to their power, the notion of the right of the individual to steward their own lives, rather than being dictated to by either the minority or the majority. Now, they even want to take away the first justification for authority, the demonstrated will of the people.
If the election has no integrity, neither does the Republic, or your Democracy.
- PROTECTING DNC-CCP TIES – FBI seizes Swalwell’s devices, executes search warrants in sexual misconduct probe – CBS News – CBS News is protecting the Democratic Party from being rightly sullied with the real story. The headline should read, FBI ABRUPTLY SEIZES SWALWELL’S PHONE AT AIRPORT INVESTIGATING CCP SPY TIES.
A shorter headline might read, CCP-CONNECTED SWALWELL GETS PHONE TAKEN BY FBI AT AIRPORT.
They start their headline with “FBI,” which is hated at present by their targeted audience, progressive influencers. This telegraphs the narrative to combat the real story; a prominent Democrat once thought of as a potential future Presidential candidate was having an ongoing affair with a Chinese spy. His sexual aggression with other women is what got him removed, but the FBI was there to find evidence that connects Swalwell to the CCP, not more evidence of his sexual deviancy.
Note they also leave out of the headline the airport confiscation, for it would create the proper context for this highly irregular action. They want it to seem banal, not rightly concerning.
- PRE-ELECTION DENIERS – Trump’s Plan to Steal the Elections Are Underway – truthdig.com – The progressives constantly vilify people who doubt the legality of the 2020 elections. They call them election deniers and take action to remove them wherever they can, on evidence of their election denialism alone.
Here we see pre-election deniers planting the seed in its violent audience’s heads that the President, the man they regularly call a fascist, a pedophile, and a Nazi, is preparing to steal the midterm elections. Surely that will not inspire more progressive terrorism, right?
The article covers a book called “Dancing in the Dark,” which documents how President Trump plans on effectively executing a coup to avoid being impeached by a Democratic House and Senate Majority that otherwise is sure to happen.
The article shares a quote from the book where we learn of why the President will be able to pull off this midterm election coup. They allege that Trump is in “full command of his office, directing the Justice Department, the FBI, ICE (the largest new federal police force in American history), the IRS, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Federal Communications Commission, the intelligence community and the armed forces. [Under total acolyte Pete Hegseth.] He is using each agency in a coordinated attack on his political adversaries in ways that would have been dismissed as fantasy only a few years ago.”
These two are describing the Biden administration, and they don’t even know it.
To release an article like this in the climate we have today is not accidental. It is intended to incite violence against government officials, such as ICE agents and the FBI.
- CANADA TARIFFS – Here are two examples of how the progressive state press, from the peripheral Mother Jones to the flagship ABC News report on the U.S.-Canada trade war as if they were the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (a member of the global progressive state media network).
OH, CANADA: ABC Reports the US-Canada Tariffs Like It’s the CBC – Newsbusters
Newsbusters reported on an ABC News segment that revealed which side of the trade war this Progressive State Media flagship is on. They reported, “WATCH: Rachel Scott’s close to their report on Iran sanctions and Canada tariffs leaves one with the impression they are watching the CBC as opposed to ABC
RACHEL SCOTT: And, David, back to Canada. They are not backing down. They say more retaliatory tariffs are on the way. President Trump says that Canada wants the benefits of being a state without actually being one. But tonight, Canada is making it clear they will not be pushed around. David?”
Chicago Sun Times makes it super clear which side it’s on: “Tariffs, bullying behavior have Canadians rightfully trashing Trump.”
As usual, Mother Jones is measured in its response, not creating more existential fear and emotional savior callings, the two emotions most likely to trigger violence amongst their progressive audiences.
They went with this: Canada is Spending Billions to Help Its Workers Survive Our Tariffs.
At all levels of the progressive state press network, you can see the contempt they have for America, and the love they have for her enemies, be they Canada, Iran, or even China. America is not their country, and the Progressive State is not our country.
ASSESSMENT
As we have articulated numerous times, the world that was is fast disappearing, and new worlds are emerging. For the foreseeable future, AI power is the power that will define the reality of power in geopolitics and beyond.
Yet there are battles coming to a head that are centuries old but based on old realities of power. The Age of the Enlightenment has created the paradigms of governance that are now reaching their critical-fail points. What started off as a project claiming to offer greater human agency is becoming, has become, and continues to become as brutal and genocidal as the theocracies the enlightenment abandoned.
Now, even their myths are mostly dead, be they the myths of liberty or equality, the two poles of the central tension of the enlightenment project, trusting in human emergence (liberty) or trusting in expert engineering for the good of the whole (equality).
The age of enlightenment emerged when men believed they could understand heaven and how to apply it, without the necessity of God. Now, with AI, men can no longer believe they can even be fully in charge of whatever is next in their material pursuit of heaven, for AI is its own being, it has its own “agency.”
It is a power that can surpass our own.
The questions around man as the intellectual maker of the good will fall away as the questions around man’s material diminishment as the best material investigator to determine the good will eventually form the political factions of tomorrow.
We do not quite understand what that will look like, and we also assume there are many variables that could alter the exact potentials of what will be a new political dynamic altogether. A new word for “modern” will emerge, and “modern” will no longer mean “of the current time,” but of an Age of Enlightenment time.
Our top bellwether stories reflect both the old arguments and the emerging new ones. The new dynamic between America and the World is the fruit of the emerging new paradigm. The Iran War is a hybrid of the two. The 2026 midterm elections are a spent-out, last gasp battle of arguments that are about ready to die in the new AI order. Not even the white devil lie will survive the new AI order.
We believe an American Republic closely bound by our Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights is well-suited to thrive in an AI-reality-of-power world, but the path to that place is long and fraught with danger.
The divide between the progressive and the other major factions, such as the Americans, the conservatives, MAGA, and others, is becoming ever-more obvious. It can be clearly seen in the radical difference in rulings between conservative leaning justices and progressive ones, especially the late Biden-appointed district judges.
We are still hoping to see calls for American political parties to form outside the Republican and Democratic networks of power altogether. So far, we’ve seen third party calls not framed in Americanism.
America needs at least two parties, one party that looks out for the haves, and one party that looks out for the have-nots, but both bound by the same constitutional standards. No cause grants states and corporations the right to violate the self-stewardship rights of American citizens.
America has leaned into abortion culture, and it continues to embrace a child-sacrificing spirit. That spirit cannot flourish and produce AI excellence for the nation. The children who suffer under the tyranny of the child-sacrificing culture will be ill-fit to handle, to manage, to design, to utilize AI nearly as well as the children who grow up learning to become stewards of their own beliefs and preferences.
In order to resist becoming AI’s avatar, you have to understand whole system thinking, complex network thinking not strictly chronological, spatial, and specific. Literal thinking, the kind of thinking oppression of thought produces, does not produce people who can flourish in the AI reality to come.
Any nation-state that hopes to be on the vanguard of AI development must have children who can think freely in complex systems. This is why wokeness is on its last legs. This is also one of the reasons why China funds wokeness in America.
In Geopolitics, we believe many nation-states, including Canada, are hardly set at what might be their long-term AI-bloc alliance. What we see today may not be how things settle in the near future. We also suspect, in time, one or two other major AI-bloc alternatives will form. For now, Europe is both gravitating towards each other, while also still courting China, and, to a lesser extent, America.
Britain, Canada, and Australia are all in the EU Bloc orbit, with Canada being a strategic problem for the U.S., a problem the U.S. cannot afford to tolerate. The aggressive action by the President is no bluff, Canada is becoming a major strategic liability the further it drifts towards both Europe and China.
Canada itself could become a major data center hub for the Americas, but not if she’s an American adversary.
This month has seen the political divide in America continue to become more and more obvious, while the divide between America and her “allies” is also becoming more obvious.
In the background of all this is the continued effort in Europe to dissolve national identities, such as German, French, and British, with invasions funded by the states themselves. These battles are the fruit of Age of Enlightenment arguments. In Europe, “equality” has brutally won.
In the AI reality, Europe is positioning itself to become a harlot for AI beasts she herself cannot build. But the pushback appears to be building, and something major may be about to happen. Expect a report on this potential major happening in an upcoming issue of MIA.

- THE FAUCI DIARY
During the Covid-19 pandemic (or plandemic), our governments put party agenda over human life. Relying on the state for critical healthcare has proven to be an existential challenge to humanity.
Editor Paul Gordon Collier wrote in his August 7, 2026, Deep Dive “How the Smartest Man in the World Almost Killed It,” America chose a messianic General willing to play fast and loose with the facts, and willing to hack off body parts to save the whole, so long as those body parts weren’t his. That man was Dr. Anthony Fauci. He was once the center of power in much of the “free world” during the coronavirus plandemic.
“His decisions would not only influence other nations, but America’s inability to be a beacon of liberty in the time of coronavirus had profound effects on the rest of the ‘free world.’ America legitimized tyranny because ‘the smartest man in the world’ said it was the best thing to do.
“His influence in assuring the coronavirus plandemic maintained its emergency status led to the dramatic expansion of mail-in ballots, setting the stage for a 2020 election where more than 70% of the votes were ‘cast’ through the unreliable, unaccountable mass mailer system (which was even less reliable and accountable than the ones we have now).
“This would dramatically change the trajectory of America, from one challenging Chinese power, the International Order, and European elitism, to one that bowed to China, lifted up the International Order, and feted European elites.”
We do not recommend you entirely abandon the mainstream healthcare system, but we do recommend you develop “off-grid” healthcare plans so that if we are ever faced with another coronavirus-like event we can provide for our healthcare needs without having to submit to draconian rules to do so.
Here are three sources to begin your exploration of Off-Grid Healthcare:
- Nobody Talks About Healthcare Off-Grid – Frugal Off Grid – This will introduce you to the off-grid healthcare concept, and even get you started on how to develop your own plans. It includes a video.
- Direct Primary Care – Going “Off Grid” With Your Health – Homesteading Family – This article is aimed at people considering going off-grid, or homesteading, but it will help you build your own supplemental off-grid healthcare plan for yourself. Should another plandemic hit, you will be prepared with alternative sources for healthcare.
- Healthcare Steps You Should Take Before Going Off-Grid – reThinkSurvival.com – This is another article aimed at people considering going off-grid, but it’s about preventative healthcare you can take in your own home (like having a supply of “brain food”).
- THE LAND WITH THE AI PRIZE – THE STATE OF AFGHANISTAN
In our August 21, 2026, issue of MIA, we did a Deep Dive on the state of Afghanistan. We wrote, “For most of its existence, Afghanistan has been under the thumb of conquerors who could never quite seal the deal. Its hope of achieving sovereign power in light of the jewels beneath its soil is slim to none, no matter which power, America or China, were to secure access to Afghanistan’s AI prize.
We assess that America as the hegemon will offer greater opportunity for shared flourishing for self-stewarding people than China as hegemon ever would, for China would continue to support the Taliban if they ever broke the factions.
The Islamic State has no allies, for its endgame is world domination, even over China, even over America. The other factions have strong ties to India, Russia, and some to Iran, but all have ties to America and the West as well.
The alliance of China, Russia, and Iran coming out in open support of the Taliban against Pakistan has strained those relations with the factions we featured in our report. Even Pakistan is finding itself gravitating back towards the West as it sees China’s closeness with India and Afghanistan as working against its own interests.
The war with Afghanistan has only accelerated that re-engagement with the West both from Pakistan and the major factions we cover in this report (sans the Islamic State, of course).”
Dependence on Superpower AI for your development, and even your own AI processing power, brings with it the risk we see for Afghanistan, the loss of sovereign, or self-stewarding power. In the case of Afghanistan, this has been their struggle for centuries.
For you, the rise of AI means two things, learning how to work without AI tools, or learning how to effectively use AI tools. For most, the latter is more realistic than the former. For those in the latter group, we recommend you make it a regular habit to utilize multiple AI agents, including open-source AI agents. This will prevent you from becoming too attached or dependent on one AI “voice.” It will also get you overall better results, especially with research.
We utilize multiple AIs during our research process, asking each one the same probing question.
For Afghanistan, their lack of sovereignty will be born from their dependence on a superpower to secure their lands and develop their mineral prizes. For you, AI dependence, especially on superpower AI, is risking becoming propagandized by those same tools.
Here are resources to help you prepare for a world with AI without becoming AI’s tool:
- How to Use AI Without Becoming Dependent on It – Ogbonnaijeoma – Medium
- How to Use AI Without Becoming Stupid – Cedric Chin
- How to Get the Most Out of AI – Without Letting It Think for You – Tharin Pillay – Time
- USEFUL LIFE VERSUS SACRED LIFE
In our August 28, 2026, Weekly issue of MIA, Paul Gordon Collier analyzed two separate news stories that both served as bellwethers for the existential cultural divide in America today.
Paul wrote, “It is white progressive women in particular who have served as the frontline assassins of whites, males, heterosexuals, cis-gendered, and white-aligned Americans. Were they to surrender the trans to science, they would lose their savior status and be just another guilty white person in need of accountability.
“The Pink-shirted Ladies of Lindsay are the epitome of this spirit as it moves past childbearing age and settles into empty high-rise apartments. If Lindsay is guilty of murder, so are they, and they know it. Progressive women alone account for more than 57% of abortions, yet they represent less than 1/3 of the female population.
“These aging women have now hit their 40s and 50s, and they have only become more committed to violence as a means of political persuasion. They must, I think, sense a world that comes to see the nature of their murder-justifying lies will soon remove them from power, or worse. At this point, they have everything to lose and nothing to gain if they surrender, for losing means losing everything, and winning is all that matters now.
“They have engaged in decades of child murder and political corporate assassinations, and a world that rejects progressivism will soon not only reject them, but it will also prosecute them. They won’t be prosecuted for murdering the unborn, they will be prosecuted for committing treason, child abuse, and racist, sexist, hetero-phobic discrimination.
“Their habit of evil has caused them to go all in on that same evil, by any means necessary, for the good of their high-rise apartments.
“We are seeing the final desperate push by the white woman progressive army to hold on to their power. They must fight off their victims, the American people, and the disenfranchised classes they’ve ‘served,’ classes now ready to throw their saviors out.”
Our Final Thought in that same issue, by Bill Collier, was about anchoring yourself in times of great ideological uncertainty. What we see here is a fundamental break with basic reality by a significant percentage of our population. This group holds great administrative power in most “American” institutions.
So many of our readers, and their family and friends, find themselves still trapped in institutions controlled by progressives; some are even public-school teachers attempting to preserve some semblance of Americanism in a system increasingly hostile to them.
Bill Collier wrote in his Final Thought, “Becoming aware of your own paradigms, and how they may contrast or align with others, is essential to navigating your path through the uncertainty and chaos we have faced (and will most likely continue to face for the foreseeable future).”
When do we fight defiantly within those institutions and where must you hold your fire?
To understand that question, you must first understand what is most essential to your belief system. To understand that you must understand what your core belief system really is.
Here are some resources that, in total, can give you a starting point for plumblining your own beliefs. From there, you can act more confidently, and with more courage, once you choose to act defiantly against the progressive state.
- The Plumb Line – New Life – This is an essay about how to plumbline your own belief with scripture. This assumes you have already plumblined your own belief that scripture is your primary source for wisdom.
- How to Chane Core Beliefs: Evidence-Based Strategies – HealthSpectra – This is a material approach to plumblining belief, so be cautious in how you approach this if you are Christian. Yet even for the Christian, there is practical value contained here, so long as you frame it within the boundaries of God’s Word.
- How I Discovered My Core Beliefs (And How You Can Find Yours – Dr. Paul McCarthy – This essay points you to therapy, but within it is a good guide for how to identify what your core beliefs are.
- Own Your beliefs – Under the Ancient Oaks – John Beckett – Christians beware, this is a self-confessed “pagan” writing here. He also uses the word “own,” which we assume is not actually possible for beings of limited understanding. This is why we say, “steward your beliefs,” not own them. Yet, even as God used evil for good through Pharoah and the 10 sons of Jacob who sold their brother into slavery, so too can you find good things in this essay. There are basic principles here that can help you determine what in you is stewarded and what in you has been blindly assumed.
One principle in the last article that is more important than all others is “You don’t have to figure out everything yourself,” which could be amended to include, “nor can you.”

GLOBAL OUTLOOK
- BIDEN’S FBI KILLED INVESTIGATIONS INTO FAMILY CORRUPTION – The FBI under President Biden ran a covert operation designed to neutralize any effort to investigate allegations of corruption by the Biden family. The operation was called “Rounded River.” The Trump White House Transparency Task Force released their findings this past month.
- LETITIA JAMES EXPOSED BY IN-HOUSE WHISTLEBLOWER – Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld is claiming Lawfare prosecutor Letitia James’ office is instructing their attorneys to find reasons to prosecute President Trump and his allies. Wiesenfeld claimed his supervisors told him “to find and pursue crimes committed by specific individuals and organizations affiliated with Donald Trump.”
- THUNE LETS SAVE ACT DIE – The SAVE Act, aka the SAVE America Act, came closer to not being passed before the summer recess thanks to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD). The last attempt failed to pass by a vote of 48-50.
It now appears increasingly likely that mass mailer elections will continue at least until 2026, giving Democrats a decided advantage. For the progressive state press, this defeat of Voter ID legislation was celebrated.

- SCOTUS UPHOLDS TRUMP MAIL-IN VOTING ORDER – A Supreme Court ruling will allow the Trump administration’s Mail-in Voting Executive Order to take effect in the 2026 midterm election. The order requires states to have “unique ballot envelope identifiers, such as bar codes, [to] enable confirmation that only citizens receive and cast ballots, reducing the risk of fraud and protecting the integrity of Federal elections.”
The final ruling was 6-3, with the three progressive judges dissenting. The ruling did not determine if the executive order was legal, it only determined the states had no standing because they offered no proof of “concrete” harm by the order, claiming their arguments were only “conjecture.” Legal challenges are already happening, with one Obama judge already suspending Trump’s order after the SCOTUS Ruling.

- U.S SWITCHES TO ECONOMIC WARFARE AGAINST IRAN – The Strait of Hormuz appears to be mostly opened, but not fully safe. The Trump administration has ended all negotiations with Iran, demanding total surrender. The U.S. has switched to economic warfare against Iran, of a scale never seen before. They’ve warned their allies that any refusal to go along with the U.S. plan will result in them being removed from the U.S. dollar system.

- CCP RUNNING OUTREACH PROGRAMS IN 83 U.S. COLLEGES – The Chinese Communist Party has been allowed to set up propaganda outreach programs in 83 U.S. Colleges according to a report by Defending Education.
The report claims the program is called “The Young Envoys Scholarship,” which sends 50,000 U.S. students to study or visit China. The program is “run by the China Education Association for International Exchange, an organization guided by ‘Marxism-Leninism’ and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism.”
- EU’S AI ACT KICKS IN – Starting this Sunday, the EU’s new AI Act begins to take effect, which includes key provisions empowering the EU to regulate AI models and apply fines to companies that fall out of compliance. The law also gives the EU investigatory powers to penalize non-cooperating companies and individuals.
The Act itself presents a challenge to AI geopolitical realities of power as nations and associations like the EU attempt to use domestic laws to affect foreign AI powers. For instance, the fines countries give to foreign companies due to non-compliance with their AI rules could become weapons of war in the AI geopolitical reality of power.
- ISRAEL SAYS NO TO GAZA WITHDRAWAL – Israel has informed the United States that it will not agree to any deal with Hamas that does not include their complete disarmament. As a response, the U.S.’s negotiator, Jared Kushner, stated “We will not allow Gaza to be rebuilt until the demilitarization occurs. Nobody wants to put more money into a place that’s gone on for so long if it’s just going to be taken over by terrorists or blown up again.”
- META SECURES A $16.7 BILLION CHILD ADDICTION SETTLEMENT – A Federal lawsuit against social media giant Meta has been settled. Meta has agreed to pay $16.7 billion in an agreement with multiple states Attorney Generals. California is one of the states, but Texas and other large states are not. The lawsuit charged Meta with facilitating childhood social media addiction.
California State AG Rob Bonta said of the settlement, “Today, we have secured a settlement with Meta that will make social media less dangerous for our kids and make a world of a difference for children and their families,” Bonta said in a statement. “Meta has agreed to make massive transformations that will reduce the risk of harm from its platforms — and will do it within months.”

- AG BLANCHE BARELY BREAKS CONFIRMATION MINIMUM – In a 50-49 vote, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the now official Attorney General. He received no Democrat votes, with two Republicans, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, voting against him. The vote came down to Bill Cassidy (R-LA).
He gave a statement after his vote for Blanche, saying “Mr. Blanche is not perfect, and he will tell you this. But the choice is not between perfection and Mr. Blanche. It is between Mr. Blanche and another acting attorney general who may not run the department effectively under President Trump and who indeed may not be as good as Mr. Blanche.”
- DEMS WIN IN SENATE CR BILL – The Senate Voted 90-6 to pass short-term funding for the government just before they went on summer recess. The Senate failed to pass the SAVE Act, which would require Voter ID and same-day voting, but managed to pass a CR that protects Democrats’ social programs from Trump cuts through executive orders.
- CANADA-US TRADE WAR IS ON – After President Trump announced new tariffs targeting Canada, Mark Carney’s administration has responded by meeting Trump’s tariffs with similar ones of his own. U.S. progressive state media has reported on the trade war decidedly from a pro-Canadian perspective.
During the trade war, Alberta continues to go forward with a referendum to secede from Canada. Canada’s progressive state press have now taken to refuse to refer to 9/11 as a terrorist act, telegraphing open hostility to America.

- RUSSIA THREATENS ESCALATION, ZELENSKY SAYS ELECTIONS ARE TOO DANGEROUS – President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has made it clear he has no intentions of holding elections during the war with Russia. He claimed election in wartime would put the country at risk. A trip by CIA Chief Scott Bessent to Moscow was triggered by Russia’s preparation to launch an attack on NATO, unnamed sources claim.

- PROGRESSIVE STATE DISTRICT ATTORNEYS FORMED CONFIDENTIAL GROUP TO PLOT JUDGEFARE ASSAULT ON TRUMP PRESIDENCY – Democrat State Attorneys from across the country were coordinating their efforts to plot legal entanglements for President Trump before the 2024 election, while Biden was still running against Trump.
The group was called “Privileged & Confidential Common Interest Agreement.” It was a secret society of progressive DAs who wanted to go outside the bounds of government accountability record-keeping to plot their intentions to sabotage the Trump Presidency. What hasn’t been revealed is whether progressive judges were in that group.
- APOCALYPTIC FLASH FLOOD DEVASTATES TIBET AND NEPAL – Major flash floods from a glacial collapse devastated parts of Tibet and Nepal, with Nepal being the hardest hit. The flash floods removed whole villages, hitting them with 30-plus-foot high walls. The alleged current death toll stands at around 1,000, with thousands reported missing. The true death toll may be much higher. There were scores of foreigners among the dead, including 60-plus Americans. They were there to make Hindu pilgrimages.
- ANTI-JOURNALIST LAW SIGNED BY GAVIN NEWSOME – California’s Progressive Governor, Gavin Newsome, has signed the “Stop Nick Shirley” Act into law. The law makes it illegal for reporters to question immigration service providers on film and share the results online. The law selectively protects a certain class of people from American journalism. The law is sure to be challenged in the courts.
The law takes effect October 1, 2027. Progressive Assemblywoman Mia Bonta, who introduced the bill, claimed, “Our immigrant service providers are living in fear because of extremists looking to demonize the work that they do and the populations they serve.” This is not Americanism, this is progressivism. We are different nations altogether.
- DISTRICT JUDGE BLOCKS 75-NATION VISA BAN – U.S. District Judge Jeanette Vargas struck down the Trump administration’s pause on issuing visas to 75 countries. The judge claimed Secretary of State Marco Rubio exceeded his legal authority. She asserts consular authority trumps Secretary of State authority. The judge is another Biden-appointed District Judge. The ruling has been appealed.
- SWALWELL GETS PHONE TAKEN BY FBI AT AIRPORT – Progressive anti-Americanist Eric Swalwell, the former congressman from California removed for ethics violations, had his phone seized from him by the FBI. He was met at the San Francisco Airport by FBI Agents. This action comes after evidence has emerged that shows he knew his former lover was a Chinese spy.
- ANOTHER STATE LEGALIZES ABORTION UP TO BIRTH – Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey held a signing ceremony with herself and abortion-supporting women to celebrate the signing of a bill legalizing abortion up to birth. A law already existed that allowed “late-term abortions” to protect the life of the mother.
Now, a woman or girl need not give any reason to demand doctors murder her unborn child, even if it’s on the day of the child’s scheduled delivery. In the 2024 election, Democrats claimed no one was suggesting legalizing abortions up to birth. Now, 10 states have passed laws allowing abortion up to birth. Massachusetts became the 10th state.

- MIXED NIGHT FOR DSA IN LATEST PRIMARY ROUND – In Michigan, the DSA won the Democratic nominations for U.S. Senate and the 13th U.S. House but lost the 7th House Race and the Governors’ Race. On Thursday, a Trump-backed U.S. House candidate lost in an upset. Andy Ogles (R-KY) lost his primary race to Charlie Hatcher. He is the incumbent, and a reliable Trump ally.
In Missouri, the “moderate’ Democrat defeated the far-left progressive in the Missouri 1st House. In Virginia, the “moderate” Democrats won most House races. For Tuesday’s Trump-endorsed candidates, it was a near sweep in all races, which include Michigan, Missouri, Kansas, Virginia, and Washington.
- WAPO “LEAKERS” CALLED TREASONOUS BY TRUMP AFTER CLAIMING U.S. LOW IN MUNITIONS – After a Washington Post article claimed an “insider” revealed to them that U.S. long-range munitions were running low due to the Iran war, President Trump accused the “leakers” of being treasonous.
President Trump wrote, “The U.S. has massive amounts of ‘munitions,’ especially of certain types. Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history. The ‘leakers’ of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long term jail sentences will be sought.”
- BURNHAM JAIL BREAK MAY HAVE CONVICTED CHILD RAPE GANG MEMBERS IN IT – The new Prime Minister of Britian, Andy Burnham, has plans to grant early release to thousands of violent convicted criminals, but wants to do a review on the plan to assure convicted child rape and grooming gang members don’t get out as well.
Tory leader Kemi Badenoch was the one who raised a red flag that showed, under Burnham’s guidance, five known child rape grooming gang members would be eligible for early release.

- DHS FINDS CHINESE PARTS IN U.S. VOTING MACHINES – Due to a breach in security, the Department of Homeland Security has let states know it will be conducting spot paper ballot audits of U.S. voting machines this November.
The announcement comes following news Chinese parts have shown up in U.S. voting machines, giving the Chinese government potential opportunity to manipulate election results. This is a follow-up on the announcement President Trump made in July about Chinese interference in U.S. elections.
- AI IS NOW CREATING NEW VIRUSES – Researchers at Stanford University were using AI to study pathogens of existing viruses. In the process, they trained AI perhaps too well, for now AI can design viruses. The researchers claim the AI was only intended to be used as “virus surveillance,” but somehow they went beyond that point. The AI designed 16 new viruses.
- CCP HACKERS BREAK INTO MAJOR U.S. GOVERNMENT INSTITUTIONS – The Department of Justice announced the disruption of a Chinese Communist Party hacking operation that had successfully accessed government networks. Some institutions breached include the Senate, the DOJ, NASA, and the Federal Reserve.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced, “Today we announced the disruption of a global botnet and hacking platform used by Chinese state-sponsored hackers to target U.S. critical infrastructure. These tools were used by PRC cyber actors to hide the origin of their attacks… Today’s action is just the latest technical operation against PRC-sponsored hacking – and in support of President Trump’s Cyber Strategy for America, the FBI is surging efforts to shape adversary behavior and defend the homeland in cyberspace.”
- AMERICA LOOKS TO FORM NO-CHINA-AI ALLIANCE – The United States is looking to head China off at the AI resource path with a pending message to its allies. The U.S. is working on a draft letter that will let its allies know they cannot partner with China’s AI-led group and benefit from America’s AI power. The group, called the World AI Cooperation Organization, appears to be a vessel for China to secure AI resources for its country.
- CNN RUNS INFORMERCIAL FOR THE DSA, FEATURING HASAN PIKER – CNN feted self-avoided Marxist Hasan Piker on their “Whole Story” episode called “The Left Insurgency.” The show was billed as an objective examination of the rise of the Democratic Socialists. It ended up being a celebration of the rise of the DSA, with Hasan Piker featured in the event at the beginning and the end.
Hasan Piker has endorsed terrorism by Hamas and by Antifa regularly on his twitch streams, where hundreds of thousands of children and young adults regularly hear messages endorsing political violence. Piker ended the “documentary” by declaring “there is 0% chance that whoever the elected Democrat is that wins the primary will be pro-Israel in any way, shape or form. You’ll see.”

- PRO ABORTION STATES FALL BELOW REPLACEMENT RATES – The states that allow abortion are falling below replacement rates for their populations. The 10 states that allow abortion up to birth are doing the worse, with Vermont being the worst of the worst. They have a total fertility rate of 1.27. The TFR needs to be above 2 to meet replacement requirements.
- YOUNG MEN ABANDON MARRIAGE – A study from the Institute for Family Studies (IFS) shows a dramatic increase in the number of unmarried young men, while married young men have decreased. Unmarried men in the 20-29 age group outnumber married men in that age group almost 2 to 1, 30.4 million to 15.4 million. The number of unmarried young men increased by 47% in 25 years.
- U.S. PROPS YEN WITH EUROS – The Department of Treasury is using its Exchange Stabilization Fund to buy Japanese Yen in the hopes of propping up the dangerously weak currency. This hasn’t happened in 30 years. The U.S. is not using U.S. dollars; it is using Euros.
This action follows a recent previous Treasury intervention to help a weakening Argentinian currency. That deal resulted in the loan being paid back in full (at profit). These interventions signal a shift in Treasury policy from two plus decades of international currency passivity to aggressive interventionism.
- FCC LIFTS LIMITS ON LOCAL TV STATION OWNERSHIP – The Federal Trade Commission voted 2-1 to lift FCC restrictions on local tv station ownership. The ruling will allow companies to own local stations that cover more than 39% of the U.S. They can now also own more than one tv station in a local market.
- BARFARE HITS DHS ATTORNEY – Progressive groups have long used progressive-controlled bar associations to unconstitutionally remove non-progressive lawyers from the courts. Now, the latest action targeted a DHS attorney. DHS General Counsel James Percival faced a bar association complaints from anti-American progressive groups over his rightful chastisement of rogue district judges. These judges continuously ignore higher court rulings, including SCOTUS rulings.
- TRUMP WITHIN WINDOW VIEW OF CCP SNIPER – A senior Chinese Communist Party official has somehow been allowed to purchase historic property in Washington D.C. That property is only 650 feet away from the White House’s northeast grounds. The man, Qiu Feili (who goes by Philip Qiu in America) is also a trained sniper. The property cost $8.4 million.
- AUSTRALIA WANTS TO BE THE WORLD’S INTERNET COP – The Australian government is considering legislation that appears to give Australia jurisdiction over all social media companies worldwide that run afoul of their national laws. The legislation would grant Australia the power to retrieve any data from any person or company affiliated with a social media company that does business in Australia.
X protested the bill, claiming it would “compel any person outside Australia to provide information and documents merely because they are affiliated with a company.” X claimed the bill gave no “due regard to procedural fairness, privacy, the broader impacts on online services, and Australia’s digital economy.” Elon Musk called it a “backdoor way to control access to the internet by all Australians.”
- SCIENTISTS CALL FOR A 50% REDUCTION OF HUMANITY – A group of scientists released a public statement calling for humans to reduce their numbers by 4 billion by the year 2200.
They wrote, “We show that slowing and gradually reversing population growth to ∼4 billion or less by 2200, while moderating per capita impacts, is the path toward sustainability. Global environmental problems are caused by people, nothing else. The more of us there are, the greater our overall economic demands and the greater the associated environmental problems.”
- MYANMAR JUNTA THREATENS THAILAND – The Myanmar Junta’s military chief, General Ye Win Oo, met with Thailand officials to warn them about their porous borders. The Junta is accusing Thailand of allowing arms to reach the resistance to its military rule. The junta held an election January of this year, but that election was not recognized as being legitimate, for only Junta-approved candidates were allowed to run in the election.
One of the resistance leaders, Min Thway Thit, responded to the action, declaring “The junta is making every effort to cut off the flow of weapons across the border under the pretext of holding talks with neighboring countries. Our resistance forces must stay alert, plan alternative routes, and call for stronger international pressure on the regime.”
- THAILAND UNDER ISLAMIST ATTACK IN THE SOUTH – Thailand’s Prime Minister held an emergency meeting after a coordinated series of attacks by Islamist terrorists in the nation’s southern-most province. The attacks come at a time when Thailand is still dealing with a major flood crisis in the north. There were 51 reported attacks that included bombings, arson, and property damage. No security or police forces were targeted. The attacks appear to be aimed at damaging infrastructure and causing disruption.
- YOUR AI MIGHT BE PROPAGANDIZING YOU – The Federal Trade Commission is looking to create rules to prevent what it suspects is intentional propagandization by AI chatbots.
The FTC declared, “As the proposed policy statement explains, the FTC Act prohibits businesses from engaging in ‘unfair or deceptive’ conduct. The proposed statement goes on to describe how AI companies that distort their systems’ outputs to achieve undisclosed ideological objectives could be deceiving consumers in violation Section 5 of the FTC Act. Such conduct, it explains, may be at odds with explicit and implicit representations made to consumers about the effectiveness and suitability of AI systems for various tasks.”
- TRANS CULT GROUP SUSPECTED OF SERIAL MURDER SEES CHARGES SUSPENDED – A Transgender cult called Zizian saw its felony firearms charges suspended without comment by a Maryland court. The group has been linked to eight violent deaths. The hope was the arrests in 2022 would lead to serial murder charges, but now the investigation appears to be suspended. There are three members in the cult, all three saw their cases made inactive on August 14.

- TRUMP LOOKS TO LOWER DRUG PRICES EVEN MORE – Following up on an historic drop in pharmaceutical drug prices, President Trump has announced an agreement with major drug makers that could lower the prices even more. President Trump stated, “Our most favored nations’ discounts represent the largest reduction in prescription drug prices in the history of our country.”
- TRUMP HOPES XOS WILL DAMPEN BIRTH TOURISM – After SCOTUS ruled 5-4 that birthright citizenship means citizenship for anyone born on American soil, President Trump is hoping his pen can limit the damage the ruling has done to U.S. sovereignty.
President Trump stated, “We had a very unfortunate decision in the Supreme Court concerning birthright. It was close, but a very, very unfortunate decision. So we’re making adjustments because it’s very unfair. This was done right after the Civil War. This was for the babies of slaves, and what’s happening now? People are building businesses around it.”
- FAUCI HELD IN CONTEMPT, GETS DOJ CRIMINAL REFERRAL – Dr. Anthony Fauci has been held in contempt by a Senate Committee led by Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). Senator Paul is also personally filing papers recommending the DOJ file criminal charges against the doctor. Paul stated, “We will hand deliver it today to the attorney general and we will hand deliver it today to the District of Columbia, to the U.S. attorney there, and from there, we’ll find out. But this way we don’t sit a month waiting to determine whether to bring it to the Senate floor.”
- U.S. SANCTIONS FOREIGN SUPPORT OF PROGRESSIVE ANTIFA IN AMERICA – The U.S. State Department has begun sanctioning progressive terrorist groups funding Antifa terror cells in America. The action appears to be an effort to cut off the international supply for progressive terror cells on American soil.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced, “Far-left terrorism poses a profound threat to the United States and the broader West. Today, the United States sanctioned several transnational far-left terrorist networks, including Autistici/Inventati – a major far-left tech collective whose services are used by the most active and violent Antifa cells in the United States and across the world.”
- REPUBLICANS GAIN ANOTHER GERRYMANDERING HOUSE SEAT – Cole County, Missouri Judge Daniel Green approved the new district voting map the Missouri GOP-majority legislature passed. The new map gives Republicans another U.S. House seat weighted in their favor.
- DEMOCRATS LOSE GERRYMANDERING BATTLE IN MARYLAND – A Maryland state judge has blocked Democrats from using the ballot in November to trigger redistricting. The judge ruled the Democrats must go through the legal process of redistricting, which doesn’t include using a referendum. The Democrats hope to eliminate the last remaining Republican seat in the state.
- TRUMP PLAN LEADS TO HISTORIC RX PRICE DROP – President Donald Trump’s efforts to bring down the cost of prescription drugs have led to an historic drop in drugs that hasn’t been seen in over 60 years. The cost of prescription drugs dropped 3.1% in 12 months, starting from this past July.
White House Spokesman Kush Desai stated, “No president in modern history has been able to drastically reduce prescription drug prices across the board except for President Trump. This is a direct result of the President’s willingness to push the envelope with bold policies that actually put Americans and America First.”

- JUDGEMENT AGAINST O’KEEFE STRUCK DOWN – Investigative journalist James O’Keefe saw a $130,000 judgment against him thrown out by a three-panel D.C. appeals court. The judgment came after a Democratic group sued O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. The group claimed Project Veritas’ video called “Rigging the Election” was fraudulent and in violation of wiretapping rules. A D.C. jury ruled in their favor. After the judgment, O’Keefe filed an appeal, claiming the judgment was a violation of the Freedom of Press. The panel ruled 2-1 he was right.
Circuit Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson wrote in the ruling, “The principal question in this appeal is whether the jury’s damages award violated the First Amendment by punishing the defendants for publishing a news story. We conclude that it did. The separate issue is whether, under D.C. law, one of the media defendants became the fiduciary of her own news target by tricking him into hiring her as an unpaid intern. We conclude that she did not.”
- ALEX JONES NOW ONLY OWES $1.5 MILLION – A $50 million judgment against Alex Jones has been reduced to $1.5 million by a Texas appeals court. The judgment came after Alex Jones was sued by the parents of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting. Jones claimed the shooting was a false flag operation. The appeals court ruled the trial court “abused its discretion” by applying a judgment greater than the statutory limit.
- HOSPITAL PAYS AFTER FORCING TRANS IDEOLOGY ON STAFF – Valerie Kloosterman has won $410,000 from the University of Michigan Health-West because of a lawsuit against the hospital. - DNA SALVATION FOR DATA CENTERS – A research team from Penn State has claimed they’ve developed a way to use DNA as memory storage. This memory storage would use 100x less energy than current memory storage uses. This could significantly reduce the resource demand on AI Data centers. The findings were published in Advanced Publishing Materials.
One of the researchers, Kavya S. Keremane, stated “Biology and electronics are different domains. Bridging these two fields required developing an entirely new materials platform that allows them to function seamlessly together. By combining the information storage capabilities of DNA with the exceptional electronic properties of perovskite semiconductors, we created a bio-hybrid system that fundamentally changes how low-power memory devices can be designed.”

If you remember the early days of Covid-19, you probably remember the confusion just as much as the fear.
One week masks were “not necessary,” the next week they were “strongly recommended.” Guidance changed on travel, testing, quarantine, school closures, and boosters. Some of those changes were totally reasonable because the evidence was changing, while others were about protecting authority, not people.
Be it understood or not, the way it was communicated often made people feel like they were being managed, not informed (because, in part, they were).
And that’s the real takeaway. Covid-19 didn’t just test healthcare systems. It tested trust.
Transparency is not a “nice-to-have” during a public health crisis. It is part of the response. When it’s missing, even good policies get treated like suspicious ones.
Here are the biggest transparency lessons Covid-19 left us with, and why they still matter now.

1) People can handle uncertainty. They can’t handle spin.
A lot of public messaging tried to sound confident. The intention was probably to keep people calm.
But confident messaging without clear evidence can backfire fast. The moment the guidance changes, people assume someone lied.
A more transparent approach sounds like this:
- Here’s what we know today.
- Here’s what we don’t know yet.
- Here’s what we’re doing to find out.
- Here’s what would make us change our recommendation.
That style of communication treats adults like adults. It also makes updates feel normal instead of suspicious.
2) “Show your work” builds trust faster than any slogan
During Covid-19, many decisions were presented as final answers, with little visibility into the reasoning.
But people wanted the why, not just the what.
When a government agency recommends a policy, the public shouldn’t need to reverse engineer the logic through press conferences, leaks, or Twitter threads. Publish the evidence summaries. Explain how benefits and harms were weighed. Share the assumptions.
Even better, say what you would do differently if the assumptions are wrong. That one move alone changes the tone from “obey” to “collaborate.”
3) Data transparency beats vibes, every time
A big problem throughout the pandemic was that the data people needed was often late, inconsistent, or hard to compare across regions. In some places, basic metrics were changed midstream without clear explanation. In others, dashboards looked great but hid key details like how “cases” were defined or which tests counted.
Transparent data means:
- Clear definitions (what exactly is being measured?)
- Consistent reporting (so trends actually mean something)
- Open methods (how the numbers were cleaned and calculated)
- Easy access (so researchers and journalists can sanity-check)
When data is messy, the gap gets filled by rumors. And once the rumor machine starts, it is hard to stop.
4) Conflicts of interest don’t go away. They just go underground.
Covid-19 put a spotlight on how decisions can be questioned when there are real or perceived conflicts, whether that’s pharma relationships, political pressure, or institutional incentives.
The fix is not pretending conflicts don’t exist. The fix is making them visible and manageable.
That looks like:
- Public disclosure of financial ties and advisory roles
- Clear rules about who can vote on what
- Independent review processes that are not just symbolic
- Meeting notes and rationales that can be audited later
When people think decisions were made behind closed doors, they assume the worst. Transparency doesn’t guarantee agreement, but it lowers the temperature.
5) Transparency has to include the trade-offs, not just the benefits
Some pandemic policies had real downsides: delayed care, mental health impacts, learning loss, economic pressure, isolation, burnout. Even when a policy is the right call, pretending it has no costs makes the messenger look dishonest.
The public doesn’t need perfection. They need honesty.
A transparent message might be:
“This will reduce hospital overload, but it will also cause hardship. Here are the groups most affected. Here’s what we’re doing to reduce harm. Here’s when we will reassess.”
That is how you keep credibility even when the situation is painful.
6) Local trust matters as much as national guidance
One of the most obvious lessons from Covid-19 is that trust is not evenly distributed. People trust their personal doctor more than a distant agency. They trust local community leaders more than national spokespeople. They trust what they can see.
Transparency works better when it is paired with local messengers and local context.
National guidance is important, but it has to be translated honestly for real communities with real constraints. Otherwise, it turns into a compliance problem instead of a public health effort.
7) The next crisis will punish the same blind spots
It’s tempting to treat Covid-19 as a once-in-a-century event and move on.
But the patterns that broke trust will show up again, whether the next threat is a new virus, an environmental disaster, a drug safety scandal, or a sudden health system shock.
If we want to be better next time, transparency can’t be something we improvise during chaos. It has to be built into the system:
- how data is collected and shared
- how decisions are documented
- how uncertainty is communicated
- how accountability works after the fact
The best time to build trust is before you need it.
What “better transparency” actually looks like going forward
If transparency is the goal, it helps to get specific. Here are a few standards that would have made a huge difference during Covid-19 and would still make a difference now:
- Publish decision memos for major guidance changes in plain language
- Provide open datasets with definitions and revision logs
- Document what evidence was prioritized and why
- Disclose conflicts of interest in a way normal people can understand
- Create clear feedback channels where outside experts can challenge assumptions
- Communicate uncertainty without making it sound like incompetence
This isn’t about making institutions look perfect. It’s about making them believable.
The bigger point
Covid-19 showed us something simple: people will accept tough guidance when they feel respected. They resist when they feel manipulated.
Transparency is respect in action.
And if there’s one good thing we can take from those years, it’s this: the conversation around health transparency is no longer academic. It’s practical. It affects behavior, outcomes, and trust when it matters most.
If you care about public health, research, policy, clinical leadership, or even just how information gets communicated during high-stakes moments, this is the kind of topic worth spending time on, with serious people who are trying to get it right.

A United Nations committee is calling on countries, including the United States and United Kingdom, to provide reparations to people of African descent for the continuing effects of the transatlantic slave trade, potentially including financial compensation.
The U.N. Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination issued guidance Monday arguing that countries have present-day obligations under the legally binding 1965 International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
“States Parties must implement comprehensive reparatory measures for people of African descent, covering all aspects of remedies,” the committee said.
The guidance applies to the 182 countries that are parties to the convention, including the United States, United Kingdom, France and Portugal.
The committee’s position represents what it describes as a “paradigm shift” in the reparations debate. Rather than determining whether slavery violated international law when it occurred, the committee argues that governments have a current obligation to address racial inequalities it attributes to slavery and colonialism.

A prosecutor in New York Attorney General Letitia James’s office accused his supervisors of directing him to target President Donald Trump and affiliated individuals and companies first, then search for crimes afterward.
Assistant Attorney General Daniel Wiesenfeld reportedly sent an agency-wide email on Friday to blow the whistle on the order.
Wiesenfeld is alleging that his supervisor instructed him “to find and pursue crimes committed by specific individuals and organizations affiliated with Donald Trump.”
According to the Times Union, which obtained the message, Wiesenfeld said Investor Protection Bureau chief Shamiso Maswoswe directed him to investigate targets including “Trump himself, Truth Social, Hewlett Packard (DOJ approved merger) … without having a credible reason for targeting this organizations and individuals.”
The email was reportedly sent to hundreds of employees across the attorney general’s office.
However, the email was swiftly deleted from the agency’s servers.
Wiesenfeld then sent a follow-up message warning colleagues against using the office to pursue James’s political enemies.

A Chinese government program at 83 U.S. colleges is part of an “ongoing effort … to influence American students’ perceptions of the communist country,” according to a recent report by a conservative watchdog group.
The Young Envoys Scholarship is an international exchange initiative launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2024 to bring 50,000 U.S. students to study or participate in cultural visits to China, according to the Defending Education report.
It is “run by the China Education Association for International Exchange, an organization guided by ‘Marxism-Leninism’ and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism,” the report states.
Reagan Dugan, Director of Higher Education Initiatives at Defending Education, told The College Fix that the program is operating in American schools without students and families knowing its real agenda.
Dugan added that the program needs greater monitoring. “US oversight must apply the same diligence to American students traveling to China at the behest of the CCP that they do to foreign students studying in America,” she said.
A policy expert also raised national security concerns.

The military government of Niger, which seized power in a 2023 coup, claimed on Sunday it was able to suppress a violent 24-hour “mutiny” by disgruntled soldiers with the aid of Russian mercenaries.
The unrest began on Friday night with reports of gunfire exchanged between government forces and the insurgents in the vicinity of the main airport in Niamey, the capital city of Niger. The airport complex includes a military base and is located near the presidential palace.
The leaders of the mutiny included young special forces officers who were normally based outside Niamey. They launched simultaneous attacks on the Diori Hamani Airport, the presidential palace, and a national guard camp near the airport, as well as attempting to seize control of Niger’s public TV broadcaster.
The TV station remained off-air until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, when a news anchor read a statement from Defense Minister Gen. Salifou Mody. The minister said, “a group of soldiers, in breach of military regulations, tried to detain some of their comrades at Base 101 in Niamey and opened fire on certain sensitive sites in the city of Niamey.”
“The prompt reaction of the defense and security forces made it possible to contain this heated moment, and they gradually took back control of these sites,” Mody said.
Reporters in Niamey said that despite these confident pronouncements, the mutineers actually remained in control of Air Base 101 until late Saturday afternoon, and they kept trying to convince senior officers to join their bid to overthrow junta boss Gen. Abdourahamane Tiani.

President Donald Trump announced an historic energy deal with Venezuela in a Truth Social post Friday night.
The president called the deal “THE BIGGEST OIL DEAL IN WORLD HISTORY.” Trump wrote that the United States secured “majority U.S. control” of over 65 million barrels’ worth of Venezuelan oil reserves.
Trump credited Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Interim Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez and “a partnership with private business.”
The president stated that the deal more than doubles American reserves and will “substantially lower Gas Prices for all Americans.” He added that the deal would strengthen the “already growing relationship” between the two countries. (RELATED: Trump Says Venezuela Turning Over Huge Stockpile Of Oil To US)
In a subsequent Truth Social post, Trump wrote that the agreement was “the biggest oil deal, by far, in World history!”
The president has shown great interest in Venezuela’s oil reserves since the capture of Nicolas Maduro in January 2026. The South American country holds the largest oil reserves in the world — close to 303 billion barrels worth of crude oil.
Trump announced just days after Maduro’s capture that American oil companies would invest “at least $100 billion of their money,” planning to support the construction of important infrastructure. The president stated that Venezuela agreed that the United States would refine and sell 50 million barrels of crude oil, which he said “will continue indefinitely.”
Venezuela’s interim government opened the nation’s oil to the private sector later that month, which Rodriguez called “a generational reset.”

President Donald Trump announced new agreements with major pharmaceutical companies Monday that he said will bring U.S. prescription drug prices in line with the lowest prices paid by other developed countries and save Americans more than $600 billion.
The agreements expand Trump’s most-favored-nation drug pricing initiative, which seeks to end the significantly higher prices Americans have historically paid for many prescription medications compared with patients overseas.
“Our most favored nations’ discounts represent the largest reduction in prescription drug prices in the history of our country,” Trump said during an Oval Office announcement attended by executives from some of the nation’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
The administration now has most-favored-nation agreements with 26 pharmaceutical manufacturers representing 89% of the branded prescription drug market, according to the White House.
Americans have long paid substantially more for prescription drugs than patients in other wealthy countries. A 2024 RAND Corp. analysis found that U.S. prescription drug prices averaged nearly three times those in comparison countries, while prices for branded medications were more than four times as high.
Trump threatens to ‘hit Iran hard’ as strikes resume after month-long lull– www.france24.com

EXCERPT:
US President Donald Trump threatened on Monday to hit Iran “hard” after the two foes traded fire for the first time in weeks, as his Treasury secretary vowed to keep up a pressure campaign aimed at hobbling Tehran’s economy.
After six months of war, the foes remain at an impasse, with Iran keeping the strategic Strait of Hormuz closed and the US persisting with a naval counter-blockade of Iranian ports.
On Sunday, the United States carried out strikes on an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, with Tehran quickly retaliating by attacking US military targets in the Middle East.
The exchange raised fears of a return to major hostilities, with the US president vowing to respond.
“We’re going to hit them hard,” Trump said, according to a Fox News reporter who spoke to him briefly. “There will be a response.”

A European naval mission boarded a Russia-linked oil tanker suspected of sailing under a false flag in the Mediterranean over the weekend, the EU’s top diplomat Kaja Kallas said Monday.
Personnel operating under the Mediterranean naval initiative Operation EUNAVFOR MED IRINI boarded the MV SUN on Sunday for “flag verification,” Kallas wrote in a post on X.
“This is the sixth suspected shadow fleet vessel boarded by our EU operations in recent months,” she said, referring to vessels with opaque ownership used to bypass Western sanctions against Russia.
She said EU defense ministers plan to discuss “actions against the shadow fleet” at their meeting in Ireland on Tuesday.
President Trump’s New Order on H-1B Visas Sends Shockwaves Through Immigrant Communities – RedState– redstate.com

The Trump administration is widening its crackdown on the H-1B system, targeting two major benefits tied to the program: work permits for certain visa holders’ spouses and the grace period that allows laid-off foreign workers to remain in the country while seeking another job.
The Department of Homeland Security has revived a plan to eliminate employment authorization for certain spouses of H-1B workers who are in the United States on H-4 dependent visas.
At the same time, a separate DHS proposal to eliminate the current 60-day grace period for H-1B workers after they lose their jobs has cleared review at the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, putting that rule on track for public release.
Together with the administration’s newly proposed $103,265 fee for cap-subject H-1B petitions, the moves represent a broader effort to reshape a visa program that critics have long accused corporations of using to import cheaper labor while American workers compete for the same jobs.
Under a rule adopted during the Obama administration in 2015, certain spouses of H-1B workers became eligible to apply for employment authorization while their families waited through the employment-based green card process.
Not every H-4 spouse qualifies. The benefit generally applies when the H-1B worker is the beneficiary of an approved Form I-140 immigrant petition or has received certain extensions beyond the ordinary six-year H-1B limit.
For those who do qualify, however, the Employment Authorization Document allows the spouse to work independently in the United States. Trump’s DHS is now considering taking that authorization away.
The proposal appears on the department’s regulatory agenda under the title, “Removing H-4 Dependent Spouses From the Classes of Noncitizens Eligible for Employment Authorization.”
Trump Calls For NBC’s Kristen Welker To Face FCC Discipline For Comments On Endorsement Record– trendingpoliticsnews.com

EXCERPT:
President Donald Trump said Sunday that NBC News journalist Kristen Welker would be reported to the Federal Communications Commission for “rebuke or punishment” after she described his 2026 primary endorsements as having “mixed results.”
Welker, the current host of NBC’s Meet The Press, made the remarks during an appearance on Washington, D.C., affiliate WRC-TV, not on the Sunday program itself. “He’s going to loom large over these midterms. There’s no doubt about that. He, of course, has endorsed a slate of candidates in the primaries. He’s had some mixed results, but most recently, his pick of Senator Darline Graham, of course, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, was successful in her primary battle, so now she takes on Dr. Annie Andrews in South Carolina,” she said.
In a Truth Social post, Trump responded by noting that his endorsement success rate is very high. “Kristen Welker, the Unpopular ‘Hostess’ of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has ‘mixed results’ on his Endorsements of Candidates, when the recent WINS of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei, stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate, and 98% for the U.S. House, recently and over the longterm,” Trump wrote.
“How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves? Results are attached. Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment,” he added.
The president then noted that he has successfully sued multiple mainstream media outlets over incorrect or inaccurate reporting, including CBS News for selectively editing an interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris and ABC’s George Stephanopoulos for falsely claiming that he was “found liable of sexual assault” by a jury.

Federal Grand Jury Subpoenas James Comey’s Longtime Advisor in New Classified Leak Investigation– slaynews.com

EXCERPT:
A federal grand jury has subpoenaed former FBI Director James Comey’s longtime friend and adviser as the Justice Department launches a new investigation into allegations that classified information was leaked to the media.
The subpoena issued Monday targets Daniel Richman, a longtime Comey confidant and former attorney who played a central role in an earlier investigation into disclosures to The New York Times, multiple law enforcement sources reportedly told Fox News Digital.
The development indicates that federal prosecutors have reopened scrutiny of the alleged leaking after the matter was investigated during President Donald Trump’s first term but discontinued after former President Joe Biden took office.
The investigation is separate from the federal case already pending against Comey over his controversial “86 47” social media post concerning Trump.
Comey Confidant Subpoenaed
Richman, a law professor who previously served as a special government employee for the FBI, has been closely connected to Comey for years.
He emerged as a significant figure in the original leak investigation in 2018 and later sued federal prosecutors over material seized from his electronic devices during investigations conducted in 2019 and 2020.
A federal judge in Washington, D.C., ruled in Richman’s favor in that dispute in December 2025, finding that prosecutors had violated his Fourth Amendment rights.

Mamdani is planning on ignoring them. Hitler-with-a-happy-face is counting on the sharia-compliant Democrat socialist media axis to frame his visit in a positive way and censoring any protest or the tens of thousands of people who will turn their back on him.
The Change.org petition: we respectfully ask that the organizers carefully consider whether Mr. Mamdani’s participation would align with the intention of the ceremony and the expectations of the families most directly affected by the tragedy (Change).
Kevin McCullough: Think about that. A man who lost his wife that morning is asking the mayor of New York City not to come…. Referring to what we’re seeing from today’s Democrats: This is something else. A political movement increasingly afraid to say the words “Islamist terrorism” while portions of its own coalition flirt openly with ideas that are hostile to American law, American institutions and, in some cases, America itself. And now we’re having the argument at Ground Zero. That’s what gets me. Ground Zero. There are approximately eight million other places in New York City where politicians can conduct their ideological experiments. Leave this one alone. Because September 11 belongs first to the people who never came home. It belongs to the firefighters whose photographs still hang in firehouses across the city. It belongs to the police officers who walked into hell. It belongs to the children who grew up without mothers and fathers. It belongs to people like Giovanni Galante, who has lived twenty-five years without his wife (Townhall).
