If Karl Rove thought he could publicly announce that he’s voting for a Texas Democrat this November without getting some serious blowback from President Trump, he seriously miscalculated the situation.

The president came in from the top rope in a Monday evening Truth Social post after news broke that Rove, the longtime Republican strategist and one-time adviser to former President George W. Bush, planned to cross party lines in the Texas Railroad Commission race and vote for Democrat Jon Rosenthal over the Republican nominee, Bo French.

Rove, wrote Trump, is a RINO and “a stone cold loser” who has suffered from Trump Derangement Syndrome for the past decade. Furthermore, declared the president, Rove is “bad for the Republican Party” after being “completely wrong so often.”

Karl Rove is so bad for the Republican Party, and completely wrong so often. He suffers from a major case of Trump Derangement Syndrome primarily because, for almost 10 years, I beat back and won against so many of the people and things that he wanted and espoused. Why does FoxNews and the WSJ keep his RINO Voice alive. The guy is a stone cold loser!

A group called “Evangelicals for a Better Future” has poured money into advertising in support of Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico. The group released this glossy ad painting Talarico as a unifier who gets “What Makes a Texan.”

While this PAC (political action committee) does not coordinate with the Talarico campaign, it appears to dovetail with the candidate’s sudden pivot to the center. Talarico recently appeared on right-leaning and right-of-center outlets like Fox News and News Nation to proclaim that his words and record are being misconstrued by his opponent, TX Attorney General and Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Ken Paxton.

Democrat Texas Senate candidate James Talarico denied that Jesus Christ is the way to truth, saying Allah and other religious paths can lead people to the same divine truth.

In a newly resurfaced video, Talarico says Islam and Christianity are “equal pathways to truth,” rejecting the Christian teaching that Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation. Talarico said he views all religions as different paths leading to the same truth.

“I find that they’re all kind of equal pathways to truth. You know, that’s how I think, you know, I always think of all of the world’s faith traditions as like a circle with,” Talarico said. “That divine mystery of the universe in the middle. And we all have different names for that mystery.”

Talarico specifically included Allah, Nirvana, and the Great Spirit among the names he said people use for what he called the same “divine mystery.”

“Whether it’s God or Yahweh or Allah or Nirvana, the Great Spirit, whatever you call it, this is all, you know, different pathways to the same kind of fundamental truth of reality,” Talarico continued.

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Democrats are warning that their party’s nominee to be the next senator for Texas, James Talarico, apparently lacks the amount of support from black voters he needs to flip the traditionally Republican state.

“Listen, my home state of Texas, we feel incredibly encouraged for two reasons,” Ashley Etienne, formerly the communications director for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, told “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker on Sunday. “But the challenge is: the only way you win the state of Texas as a Democrat is if you overperform with Black voters.”

“I just came back from Houston last night, meeting with operatives on the ground and state elected officials. They are concerned that there’s mild enthusiasm among black voters and that this $25 million that Talarico promised he was going to spend over a month ago has yet to start to flow,” she continued.

“The investments aren’t there yet. And then you couple that with the fact that Elon Musk said he’s going to spend nearly $200 million on these races, and Texas is a huge target for that. And you’ve got a problem with black voters in Texas: you’ve got 34% of black men voting for Donald Trump. So if you’re going to wait until Labor Day to start campaigning with black voters, you’re playing to lose.”

Etienne’s warning follows that of Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who fell short in the March 3, 2026, Senate primary to Talarico, 52.4% to 46.2%. The lame duck congresswoman similarly questioned whether black voters are energized by his candidacy.

“I personally don’t feel like the excitement necessarily exists within the black community right now, like I don’t feel like they’re excited, right?” Crockett said on Friday’s episode of the “Front Page” podcast.

The James Talarico campaign is not going well at all. He desperately wants to be the next Senator from Texas, but he’s got Jasmine Crockett supporters yelling at him at campaign stops now, and every day Talarico is changing his positions to better appeal to Texas voters.

Now, in an interview with Just the News, Texas State Rep. Steve Toth is describing how Talarico once mocked him for having childhood dyslexia. Talarico’s despicable attack came when State Rep. Toth introduced the Beckley Wilson Act (TX HB3928). That legislation improves how public schools evaluate and teach students with dyslexia, and it’s named for then-12-year-old Beckley Wilson, who testified to the Texas House Public Education Committee about her struggles in Texas Public Schools as a student with dyslexia.

The Beckley Wilson Act was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott in 2023.

In his interview, Toth described Talarico’s arrival to the Texas House and his behavior.

“This is a guy that came into the House in 2019 and he was one of the most caustic—we’re going to show video of him of who he was when he first came in. He was not this congenial, nice, sweet, kind boy-next-door. He was this caustic, angry little man that came in that decided in 2025, when he came back into the Texas House, that he was going to run for the Senate,” Toth said.

It’s another example of how, once again, Democrats are on the side of criminal illegal aliens and not the American people.

As the Texas Senate race heats up between Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton, BlazeTV host Allie Beth Stuckey feels compelled to remind Texas voters of Talarico’s moral failings — which are anything but small.

These moral failures are reflected even in the church he attends, St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Austin, which was recently exposed by the Daily Wire for having “explicit LGBTQ books in its bookstore aimed at children.”

Stuckey calls the books “basically pornographic,” as they contained “illustrations of sexual acts.”
