New York Politician Slams the DSA As a White Supremacist Movement townhall.com

If you’re paying attention, you’ll notice that a vast majority of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) members are lily-white and insanely rich. With that privilege, they’ve decided their moral and political obligation is to destroy the economic structure and nation that made them spoiled brats

This includes a majority-white crowd chanting ‘You’re next’ to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The optics of that are bad enough, but the DSA doesn’t seem to care. The destruction of the Democratic Party, and America, is the point.

But one New York politician is calling a spade a spade and he just blasted the DSA as a bunch of white supremacists. That’s Queens Borough President Donovan Richards

Here’s more:

A prominent black Big Apple politician compared Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s comrades in the Democratic Socialists of America to white supremacists as a bitter rift between Democrats spilled onto social media.

Queens Borough President Donovan Richards breathed new life into a longstanding complaint among minority lawmakers that the largely lily-white DSA ignores race in its crusade to grow its ranks and dismantle capitalism.

And according to federal investigators, it was designed to keep producing racial preferences after the Supreme Court had ordered them out.

Scarborough Urges Democrats to Welcome Socialist Wing Ahead of Midterms www.newsbusters.org

The Democratic Party has found itself in the midst of an internal rift just as the midterms are looming. Between revolutionary democratic socialists and establishment liberals, even the media has struggled to pick sides in the battle for the heart of the party. MS NOW’s Joe Scarborough, however, seems to have settled on a choice. On Monday’s Morning Joe, he urged the establishment to let the socialists waltz right on in.

Beginning the segment, Scarborough couldn’t seem to understand why party officials might not want to let socialists and communists into their party. Why can’t we all just get along?

I don’t understand it: this is a time Democrats should be coming together, and yet, every opinion piece I see, every social media post, it’s like about a division in the Democratic party that doesn’t even have to be.

Scarborough’s response to the party divide? Just welcome the socialists with open arms! And pretend they are the ones who will convert to the establishment.

I will say, as a former Republican, now an independent, who is for pro-democracy forces, my attitude has always been, we’re Baptists. We will play 16 hymns of ‘Just as I Am’, if that’s what it takes to bring new converts down. We will wait. And when those new converts come in, we hug them.

Crooked Minnesota Democrat Attorney General has gone viral for apparently saying the quiet part out loud regarding the Democrats’ scheme to obtain power at all costs.

While speaking at a rally in Minneapolis on Monday for far-left Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, who is running for the Senate, Ellison seemed to reveal the Democrats’ game plan to seize the midterms.

Ellison bragged that not only were Democrats going to get every person who was not old enough to vote in 2024, but also those who were not naturalized citizens.

He’s been increasingly outspoken in his criticism of the party, including the widespread silence that followed what he described as New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s betrayal of Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) by endorsing fellow socialist candidate Darializa Chevalier.

As Breitbart reported:

He added, “I just want to say that there was a shockwave through this party when Mamdani, who everybody’s excited about, stabbed in the back, Espaillat, who…was the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, beloved by everybody, who backed Mamdani. Mamdani said, I will back you. Then he turns around, stabs him in the back. And backed Chevalier, who has no credentials, except she’s known for having celebrated October 7 murders of Israelis on October 8, and never apologized. This sent a shockwave through the party. People said, hold on a second, why, of all the people in New York City, would Mamdani pick this person to betray someone? And then no one says anything. Everybody’s quiet.”

Dozens of soldiers were injured in previously unreported strikes last week, the New York Times says

The Pentagon has withheld information about dozens of service members injured during the war with Iran, The New York Times reported on Monday, citing US officials.

On Friday, Iran struck a US military site in Jordan, killing two soldiers, wounding four, and leaving one missing. According to the Times, however, dozens of service members were injured throughout the week in three other strikes against US forces in the country. Several helicopters were also reportedly damaged in the attacks.

An official told CNN that “it can take several days or even weeks” for an injury to be logged into the Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS), an official database. A total of 427 service members have been injured in the war with Iran, the Times said, citing official figures.

Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell argued that “providing real-time information on non-fatal casualties to the media is the same as providing that information directly to our adversaries.”

President Donald Trump said Monday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “will not be arrested” when he visits New York in September, pushing back on a suggestion by Mayor Zohran Mamdani that such an arrest could happen.

Mamdani has said New York City’s legal department is discussing the possibility of arresting Netanyahu when the prime minister is in the city to attend the United Nations General Assembly.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in The Hague,” Mamdani told The New York Times’ “The Interview” podcast that published Saturday.

“He’s a war criminal who has been charged by the International Criminal Court. And what you will find is that is an opinion that is held by many purely because of what his actions have wrought over these last many years,” the mayor said.

The desperately poor and the obscenely wealthy. Self-flagellating college kids and urban activists. Foaming-at-the-mouth atheists and devout Muslims. The contradictions are clear, but as long as there’s an enemy to focus on, those can be put aside.

Chaudhry is attempting to unseat Rep. Adam Smith in the Democratic primary for Washington’s 9th Congressional District, based in and around Seattle. What about Harvard’s huge financial endowment? Why do they need to lay anyone off?

The Harvard Crimson reports:

Harvard FAS To Begin Layoff Notifications Next Week

Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences will begin notifying some staff of layoffs next week, according to a person familiar with the matter — part of a broader process that could also include direct placements into new positions or opportunities to move into different roles.

The notifications mark the beginning of a long-anticipated staff overhaul that has been in the works since last spring. It is unclear how many employees will be affected, though the FAS could lay off up to one quarter of its staff.

Days before the expected notifications, FAS announced Thursday that it had appointed three senior administrators who will help carry out the school’s new administrative model.

FAS spokesperson James M. Chisholm did not deny the expected timeline in a statement, writing that the school “will continue to communicate transparently about the workforce planning process,” including by proactively alerting staff and providing detailed information about any job action.

Medicaid is federally funded and state-run, but the program’s beneficiaries often have the least say in who provides their care and what that care costs.

That’s a built-in flaw. States have every incentive to maximize federal matching funds while federal taxpayers bear much of the cost. The result pits state bureaucrats against Washington’s need to control Medicaid spending — and against taxpayers’ interest in stopping providers, insurers, and contractors from cashing in on weak oversight.

New York’s home-care scandal is not merely a contracting failure. It is a warning about Medicaid’s overall design.

Washington — President Trump has been trying to force Iran to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz for months, turning to everything from airstrikes and naval blockades to negotiations and threats to destroy a “whole civilization.”

But restoring oil tanker traffic in the vital Middle East shipping corridor to prewar flows likely will require a much bigger armada of U.S. warships if not tens of thousands of American troops on Iranian soil, experts say. Despite on-and-off fighting, Iran can still target vessels in the slim Persian Gulf waterway with drones and missiles that have been hidden in a country a third the size of the continental United States.

“Iran has been preparing for this type of asymmetric conflict for decades now,” said Jason H. Campbell, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute and a former Pentagon official. “I think they’re starting to demonstrate why no other U.S. president since Reagan has elected to engage at this level of conflict with Iran, because they have that ability to completely disrupt the Strait of Hormuz.”

Michael Harrington called it the left wing of the possible. Beneath the slogan lay a practical reality. American socialists had no viable alternative to the Democratic Party. The two-party system, ballot access laws, fundraising networks, and the institutional gravity of a party that had absorbed much of the Left all pointed in the same direction. Work within the Democrats or remain on the margins.

Harrington chose the Democrats and built the Democratic Socialists of America around that choice. He believed American socialism would accomplish more by influencing one of the nation’s two major parties than by creating a third marginal party. He spent the rest of his life defending that strategy.

For decades, DSA leaders described their approach as political realignment. Following Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) presidential campaigns, many activists embraced what became known as the dirty break: using Democratic ballot lines to build socialist power while envisioning an eventual independent workers’ party. As the organization grew and its elected officials multiplied, however, the promised break receded further into the future.

The Elitist Media appear to circle the wagons as the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger approaches, terrified that CNN might face editorial standards approaching fairness. Perhaps this explains why news of the California-led Democrat lawsuit to block the deal was left off of the evening news on ABC and NBC.

The CBS Evening News did cover the lawsuit. Here is that brief in its entirety, as aired on Monday, July 13th, 2026:

TONY DOKOUPIL: Some news tonight concerning Paramount Skydance, the parent company of CBS News. 12 states filed an antitrust suit today aiming to block the roughly $110 billion merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Brothers Discovery. The state attorneys general, all Democrats, said the deal would create a monopoly and undermine competition, violating a century-old law. Paramount Skydance argues the opposite, that the merger would increase jobs and increase consumer choice. Government regulators in several other countries have signed off and so has the U.S. Department of Justice.

There is more to the story than Dokoupil could cram into that brief towards the end of their A-block. Per NPR:

A dozen states, led by California, are suing to block Paramount from buying Warner Bros. Discovery in a Hollywood mega-merger that would unite some of the nation’s largest movie studios, television newsrooms, and other entertainment properties.

“The unlawful merger of these two entertainment behemoths would lead to higher prices, lower quality, and less content for film and television, harming movie theaters, basic cable distributors, and ultimately, audiences on every sofa and movie theater seat in the U.S.,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a statement announcing the suit, which was filed in federal court in California’s Northern District.

The recent New York Democratic primary results reveal more than typical political turnover. They expose a dangerous realignment within the American Left. What we’re witnessing is the systematic mobilization of Islamist organizations forging strategic alliances with democratic socialists and far-left activists, creating a powerful coalition that threatens the party’s traditional center.

The deliberate targeting and defeat of Assemblymember Jenifer Rajkumar exemplifies this troubling trend. As a moderate Democrat and the first South Asian woman elected to the state legislature, Rajkumar embodied the pragmatic wing of her party.

Her loss wasn’t an isolated upset. It represents part of a coordinated effort to purge moderate voices from Democratic politics. Across New York, we’re seeing well-funded insurgent campaign machines systematically target and eliminate centrist Democrats, replacing them with candidates who embrace increasingly radical positions.

In this highly charged new political landscape, American Jewish and Hindu communities have been uniquely vilified, alienated, and targeted. Longstanding peaceful minority groups who have contributed immensely to the fabric of New York are being pushed to the margins as the radical left consolidates power.
