Stanford’s Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE) has come under fire after using artificial intelligence to digitally alter the race, sex, and appearance of students in promotional photos.

The Stanford Review, a student-run publication at the school, uncovered the original and edited versions of the images that were used. The photos showed a cafeteria of students holding food trays, but in the edited version, one male student had been digitally replaced with a black woman, and the two other students had their faces and appearances changed.

Billy Ramirez, a junior who appeared in the original photo, described his reaction to the outlet: “I was driving to school from my hometown when my friend sent me the images comparing the banner to the original photos, and I was immediately baffled.”

He said his initial reaction was amusement, but that feeling shifted once he understood the scope of the changes: “At first, I found it hilarious that they had used AI to completely change our appearances, including my race and gender. But after looking at the comparison, I was also upset because I don’t agree with Stanford making those choices about how we were represented.”

Two additional students who appeared alongside Ramirez in the photo also saw their faces digitally altered. An Asian girl’s face was thinned out and a male student in the middle of the photo had his entire face changed to a different person with a different colored shirt.

R&DE is the division responsible for managing housing and dining services across Stanford’s campus. The photo had been taken in front of the “Star Ginger” cafe at the school location.

A California Democrat staffer and former news anchor has been arrested by ICE in Las Vegas, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Ho-Yin Mo, who is a former anchor for KTSF and was currently working for California Assemblywoman Catherine Stefani, was arrested by agents at the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, per the Daily Mail.

“On January 13, 2020, Mo lawfully entered the U.S. on a temporary basis but illegally overstayed his welcome by failing to depart by May 15, 2020,” DHS said in a statement to the New York Post. “Work authorization or a pending application do NOT confer legal status in the United States.” He is originally from Hong Kong.

Stefani represents California’s 19th Assembly District and had employed Mo as a field representative, per his LinkedIn. He previously worked at the news station, which broadcasts in Chinese. He was also on London Breed’s campaign for governor in 2024.

At the time of his hiring for Breed, a spokesperson said of Mo, “When we heard that Mo was available, we jumped at the opportunity to hire him, because we know that his profile on KTSF really resonates with a lot of individuals, and his background and his experience.”

Mo is expected to remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. “DHS reversed the horrendous Biden-era policy that allowed aliens in our country illegally to jet around our country,” DHS said about the arrest. “Under President Trump, DHS will no longer tolerate this. This administration is working diligently to ensure that aliens in our country illegally can no longer fly unless it is out of our country to self-deport.”

Campus jobs will remain closed to illegal immigrant students in California after Gov. Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill Sunday that would have reversed the situation.

In his veto message, the Democrat governor expressed concerns that the legislation would violate federal law and land the state in trouble with the Trump administration, the Daily Bruin, UCLA’s student newspaper, reports.

“California remains committed to economic opportunity and tuition affordability for all students, including leading efforts to support undocumented students,” Newsom stated.

“But given the gravity of this bill’s consequences – including potential criminal and civil liability for state employees – the federal courts must resolve the legality of the novel legal theory behind this legislation before we proceed,” he stated.

The legislation prohibits public colleges and universities in California from “disqualifying a student from being hired for an employment position due to the student’s failure to provide proof of federal work authorization,” according to the bill summary.

Additionally, it would require institutions to “treat a specified prohibition in federal law on hiring undocumented noncitizens as inapplicable because that provision does not apply to any branch of state government.”

This language is based on a legal theory by scholars at the UCLA Center for Immigration Law and Policy. Hiroshi Motomura and Ahilan Arulanantham argue the 1986 federal law does not specifically designate government entities as “employers,” The College Fix previously reported.

Penn State Dickinson Law defended a mandatory first-year class about “antiracism” recently after at least two students accused the school of political indoctrination.

The law school, which is public, has faced Congressional scrutiny and is the target of a civil rights complaint. Along with requiring the course “Race and the Equal Protection of the Laws,” it also runs an Antiracist Development Institute that works “to dismantle structures that support systemic racial inequality and intersectional injustice.”

“No changes are planned to 1L [first year] curriculum established for the 2026-2027 academic year,” including the controversial class, the law school told CBS News 21 in a statement last week.

“The law school also endeavors to provide an open and respectful learning environment for all who teach and study at Penn State Dickinson Law …  one in which students are encouraged to explore and challenge differing perspectives,” it stated.

However, some students who have taken the class said the opposite.

One male student, who spoke to CBS 21 on the condition of anonymity, described it as “purely political.”

 The American Federation of Teachers (AFT) has joined a lawsuit seeking to stop the DOT from accessing commercial driver’s license (CDL) records from the CDLIS database operated by the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, which contains information about 17 million people.

A U.S. District Court in California has since issued an injunction against the DOT while the lawsuit advances through the court system. The DOT is expected to appeal.

The legal fight is over ongoing actions being taken by the Trump administration to get illegal immigrants and unqualified drivers off the road following numerous deadly crashes caused by truckers who never should have been on the road. At least 30 Americans were killed in crashes caused by illegal truck drivers in 2025, including a high school basketball coach and his wife, and numerous others have been killed and maimed in 2026.

The DOT, along with other agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), have been working to shut down “sham schools” that don’t provide proper or complete training to its students and who give CDLs to illegal immigrants who can’t speak or read English or identify road signs. On September 8, DHS officials launched a new tipline so everyday Americans can report CDL fraud.

“Too many American lives have been lost or permanently changed because illegal aliens who have no business being on our roads have been granted CDLs,” DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said.

The agencies have also engaged in law enforcement stings to take illegal drivers off the road and implement policies to strengthen English language requirements.

It’s incredible to watch the Democrats and their media allies lie about a string of deaths in the South that involved black victims hanging from trees. As Townhall reported, many of those deaths were ruled suicides. They are all tragic losses of life, but they are not indicative of a return of lynchings.

One of those deaths was, in fact, a murder. Mississippi woman Tasia Fortune was found hanging from a tree on August 3. Democrats like Ro Khanna, AOC, and Ayanna Pressley all pounced on this tragedy for political gain, and the media were glad to assist. Back on August 13, CNN said Fortune’s murder “evokes a very painful history.”

Correspondent Omar Jimenez, best known for his “fiery but mostly peaceful” coverage of BLM riots, said, “A lot we still don’t know here, but obviously the raw image of a black person hanging from a tree in the American South evokes a very painful history.”

The AP just repeated that narrative yesterday, saying Fortune’s murder “stirred distressing memories of the grim history of lynchings across the U.S. South.” The last widely-recognized lynching in America happened in 1981, two years before this writer was born.

It was jarring on Thursday to hear NPR Morning Edition anchor A Martinez open an hour of the “newscast” warning about anti-Muslim “lies” from Republicans.

Muslim co-anchor Leila Fadel began their story:

FADEL: Over the last few months, anti-Muslim rhetoric has found a solid foothold in GOP messaging. Muslims, who make up about 1% of the population, are being made into a bogeyman in many of these political ads.

UNIDENTIFIED NARRATOR #1: Radical Islam is taking root in Texas.

UNIDENTIFIED NARRATOR #2: Radical Islam is incompatible with the West.

UNIDENTIFIED NARRATOR #3: They don’t think we deserve the right to exist as Americans or as Christians.

UNIDENTIFIED NARRATOR #4: Hate our way of life. They want Sharia law.

UNIDENTIFIED NARRATOR #5: Oklahoma is next.

FADEL: And this bigotry has been met with virtually no condemnation from Republicans.

Host Laura Ingraham raised the issue by showing a clip of MS NOW’s Joe Scarborough from Tuesday’s Morning Joe trying to intimidate ICE by warning that they will punished after President Donald Trump leaves office:

LAURA INGRAHAM: Joe Scarborough was essentially warning ICE agents that are currently working for the Trump administration to beware when Democrats take power. Watch.

JOE SCARBOROUGH (from MS NOW’s Morning Joe): I warned on this show in real time that justice will find them, that they’re being told right now, “We’ll pay you X amount of money, put on this mask, you can go out, you can do whatever you want to do, and Donald Trump will protect you.” Donald Trump won’t be in the White House forever. (editing jump) Justice will find them.

So, it’s law enforcement turned upside down. Let’s put the law enforcers in prison. The Fox News host posed:

Tom, I don’t know what exactly he’s getting at here — there, but I think he’s saying you’re going to jail, you’re going to be prosecuted, you’re going to be bankrupted by the Democrat machine that’s going to grind you into the dirt for having done this job.

What CBS got instead was a complete undermining of the Elite Media’s First Amendment argument against the White House bans against CNN, MS NOW and Politico.

Because you are a former journalist, I’m sure you saw yesterday journalists from CNN, Politico, and MS NOW were blocked from entering The White House after the president objected to the content of their organization’s reporting. Do you agree with the president’s order to do that?

MARIA ELVIRA SALAZAR: Well, I think that the president has a different type of style, but at the same time, I think that he is the most accessible president in the later years that has been- that has been talking to the media. You know, he talks to everybody. So, he may not be allowing for some journalists to go into one place, but I’m sure that he’s going- he’s going be talking to everybody at some point. That’s his style and he is been–

BRENNAN: Yeah.

SALAZAR: –very accessible, not like Biden.

BRENNAN: No, I- I understand that point, but when it comes to saying you can’t attend press briefings because I don’t like what you said, doesn’t that premise violate the spirit of the First Amendment?

SALAZAR: Well, I think that he has his own style, and that he will determine who he wants to talk to. But with social media, and with all the different outlets out there for people to receive information, I am sure that those journalists are going to be able to cover the president the way that you- free speech, the way you determine. Because you know, you- the media–

As is often the case, the Elitist Media find a way to make the Elitist Media the centerpiece of whatever they do. CNN’s Dana Bash attempted to do the same with the United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Mike Waltz, and got promptly schooled.

DANA BASH: On Friday, President Trump banned CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the white house. The president, as I mentioned, is about to host the Chinese leader. Historically, it was the United States pushing countries like China for greater press freedoms. Now, President Trump is the one backsliding on these rights. Are you comfortable with this?

MIKE WALTZ: The president is absolutely within his rights to limit, uh, journalists to government facilities. Particularly when, in his opinion, they’re not behaving as good faith journalists. And that’s just not his opinion. That’s the Supreme Court’s opinion. There are multiple cases, Zemel versus Rusk off the top of my head. And I’m not a lawyer. That said, look, you can have the ability to speak. You can have the ability to publish as an open and free press, but you don’t have an inherent right to any government facility that you want, whether it’s Langley or The White House. And so I’ll leave it to the lawyers, but I think the president is absolutely spot on here.

BASH: Mr. Ambassador, you are a decorated veteran. You served in an elite unit, the Green Berets, for 27 years defending freedoms like the First Amendment, and the president you work for just banned three news organizations. And he said it- it’s because he doesn’t like some of the things that are being reported.

WALTZ: Dana, the prior administration limited all kinds of journalistic outfits and journalists themselves that they deemed as right wing. Those have now been allowed onto the onto the facility. And the president doesn’t believe others are acting in good faith. Heck, I just saw one yesterday use anonymous sources referencing someone who’s dead. And so, you know, I think I would hope that the media would take a good introspective look at itself and its practices because it throws things out there and then puts a little baby correction that nobody pays attention to, and it sticks to people like napalm. And so it is- it is incredibly frustrating, I can tell you, as someone who’s serving in the public space, but meanwhile, again, the Supreme Court has been very clear in multiple cases going back to the 60s, there was a different your right to speak- different, your right to publish than having access to any government facility that you want.
