Last week, the Supreme Court voted for the federal government’s ability to remove protections for citizens of Haiti and Syria — and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D) isn’t having it.

“We saw today the Supreme Court make a decision that is putting so many people’s lives in jeopardy. And I just came back from a rally with 1199 as I stood alongside a number of Haitian New Yorkers who are concerned about what this means for their status in our city,” Mamdani began in a video statement.

“And frankly, this city, the one that we love, is one that has been built by so many from so many different parts of the world. And that includes our Haitian brothers and sisters, our Syrian brothers and sisters. And we stand here ready to be in solidarity with all of those who are concerned by today’s decision,” he said.

“Now, what that means when it comes to our city is if you are worried about what this means for your status, if you’re worried about what this means for your family, I would encourage you to call our Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs hotline,” he added.

“Notice when the Supreme Court goes on their side, you absolutely must positively follow it. But if it doesn’t go their way, well, then they have all kinds of NGOs that come out of the woodwork to subvert,” Glenn comments.

“Is New York part of the United States or not? Because I’m fine with it. Cut it off … not one federal dollar goes to New York City. I am fine with that,” he continues.

With America’s 250th anniversary approaching this Saturday, just 14 percent of Democrats described themselves as “extremely proud” to be an American, according to a new Gallup poll, as national pride hits a new low.

After the Sept. 11 attacks, national pride was at a high. Through 2004, 65 to 70 percent of poll respondents felt extremely proud, according to Gallup data from the time. Yet, each year since 2018, less than half of respondents reported extreme pride.

As other polls have also shown, this data highlights a widening partisan gap when it comes to national pride. This year, there was a 56-point gap between Republicans and Democrats, with 70 percent of Republicans and 14 percent of Democrats claiming they were “extremely proud.”

Democrats and the propaganda press seem intent on fueling this lack of national pride, as demonstrated by corporate media’s response to the

“Chief Day’s office even directs people who witness ICE activity to call an organization that advocates for ICE’s abolishment,” the letter states.

The US House Judiciary Committee has accused Portland Police Chief Bob Day, Multnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez, and Sheriff Morrissey O’Donnell of endangering the public by refusing to cooperate with US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), thus allowing illegal aliens “to freely operate, terrorize local communities, and reoffend without consequences.”

These three officials received congressional letters dated June 23 regarding their handling of arrests and cases involving foreign nationals, which the committee claimed violated federal immigration laws.

The committee asked the sheriff’s office, the district attorney’s office, and the Portland Police Bureau to provide all communications, as well as policies and procedures, related to ICE and immigration dating back to January 1, 2022. The letter demands a response by July 7.

Oregon’s Sanctuary Promise Act prohibits state and local law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration-related matters. This includes not disclosing a suspect’s immigration status or information to federal officials, limiting immigration arrests to specific locations, and prohibiting compliance with ICE detainers, which are official holds on criminal illegal aliens with ICE requesting notification before they are released from jail.

A 29-year-old socialist ended a longtime Denver congresswoman’s tenure with an upset victory in the Democratic primary Tuesday.

Melat Kiros, an Ethiopian immigrant and lawyer who was fired over her public criticism of Israel, stunned incumbent Rep. Diana DeGette winning 49.3% of the vote to the congresswoman’s 43.5%, the Associated Press reported with 78% of ballots counted. Endorsed by Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Kiros is the heavy favorite to win the November general election given Colorado’s First Congressional District’s strong Democratic lean.

In addition to the DSA, Kiros had the endorsements of Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Our Revolution, a left-wing group that began as a continuation of his 2016 presidential campaign. She also had garnered the support of Chris Rabb, a fellow DSA-backed candidate who won the Democratic nomination for a deep blue Philadelphia-based seat in May, and Justice Democrats — a group instrumental in helping Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez oust a longtime incumbent in a 2018 primary.

A Democratic representative from Oregon, backed by numerous fellow lawmakers in the House, has filed articles of impeachment against Education Department Secretary Linda McMahon, alleging she is illegally dismantling the U.S. Department of Education.

Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici introduced the resolution last Thursday, arguing “I introduced an impeachment resolution because Secretary McMahon has made it her mission to close down the Department of Education, something she does not have the right to do.”

The legislation is cosponsored by 16 fellow Democrats, according to a news release from Bonamici’s office.

This election season has included a lot of talk about the openly socialist candidates winning Democratic Party primaries in New York and other deep-blue regions of the country.

But in Texas, US Senate hopeful James Talarico is spewing many of the same far-left ideas from a package that might appear less extreme to some voters.

Now that he’s facing GOP Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, a steady stream of those prior remarks are coming back to bite him.

As the Washington Free Beacon highlighted in a new report:

Talarico’s remarks came during a 2022 speech he delivered to a group of Texas inmates graduating from a high school diploma program. After approvingly quoting the prominent prison abolitionist Ruth Wilson Gilmore—Talarico described her as an “anti-prison activist” who said “prisons are a catchall solution to our social problems”—he laid out his vision for a “world without prisons.”

“Prisons allow us to ignore the consequences of systemic racism and global capitalism,” Talarico said. “If we took just half of what we spent on wars, prisons, and policing and spent it on education, health care, and jobs, we could make prisons obsolete.”

“It’s hard to imagine a world without prisons,” he continued. “But it was also hard to imagine a world without telegrams and cassette tapes. Just because it was hard to imagine doesn’t mean you shouldn’t. We won’t build it overnight, but dreaming is the first step.”

New York’s socialist wing is issuing warnings to the Democrat establishment after a sweeping primary victory gave NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani and his allies a stronger grip on the party’s future in the city.

Following Tuesday’s elections, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and the Democratic Socialists of America signaled that the far-left movement intends to use its victories to pressure Democrat leaders and shape the party’s direction heading into the 2026 midterms.

In a post-election call clipped by Manhattan Institute analyst Stu Smith, a DSA leader said socialist politicians now represent more than three million New Yorkers across multiple levels of government.

Gov. Abigail Spanberger will do anything for a buck: she’s even prepared to sacrifice the wellbeing of Virginia’s children to cannabis to add to the state’s coffers. She already betrayed several promises she made while campaigning, trying to position herself as a moderate. Now the fact that she’s ignoring the most recent data on the dangers of recreational cannabis, permitting its sale to our most vulnerable, is revolting.

Every state that has approved recreational cannabis has experienced its perils:

Let’s begin with an inconvenient fact: Marijuana is not harmless.

Whether illicit or regulated, marijuana remains a drug that profits from addiction. It is estimated that more than 60 million Americans now use marijuana, and Yale researchers report that ‘30% of current users meet the criteria for addiction.’ Research has also documented psychotic symptoms during intoxication, including paranoia and hallucinations. Legalization does not make marijuana safer; it simply makes it more accessible.

Emails obtained by America First Legal reveal a host of officials, from FBI officials to sheriffs across the country, told the Biden administration they have no need to investigate parents protesting “woke” school boards. Despite these warnings, the Biden administration went ahead with a systematic effort to investigate parents for committing potential crimes by voicing their dissent against progressive policies.

California is “too gay to function.” And if you are surprised by this, you are not paying attention.

According to Chris Rufo, in California, the left is prioritizing contracts for “state-certified gay-owned businesses.” It is unclear how your business can get certified in gayness, but I digress.

Per City Journal:

In 1986, Governor George Deukmejian signed Assembly Bill 3678, which required certain CPUC-regulated utilities to submit annual “plans” for buying goods and services from woman- and minority-owned companies. Two years later, CPUC created its “Supplier Diversity Program,” which would enforce the law and set contracting “goals” for large utilities.

Under a series of Democratic governors, the program has expanded to include gay-owned businesses. In September 2014, then-Governor Jerry Brown signed legislation requiring CPUC to recognize “LGBT-owned businesses” as eligible for supplier-diversity benefits. Five years later, Governor Gavin Newsom expanded the program further, “encouraging” other companies involved in the energy sector to award contracts to gay-owned firms.

Tuesday on MS NOW’s “The Briefing,” Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA) said that if Democrats win the majority in the midterms, they will subpoena private-sector people who worked with President Donald Trump in his second term.

Host Jen Psaki asked, “Should the Senate be, should the Democrats be in the majority and decide to investigate or look into Patel? I mean, you are one of the many people who have been targeted by Trump’s Justice Department under Trump’s direction, as we’ve all seen it. One another person, who announced yesterday that he was being targeted is, of course, Governor Gavin Newsom. I know you spoke with some of my colleagues about that last night, but I wonder, as we’re thinking about because we’ve been talking about the Georgia races tonight, we’ve been talking about politics as we think about if Democrats have the majority next year, you’re on the Judiciary Committee. Trump is still going to target his political enemies. He’s not going to stop. He’s going to have people in the Department of Justice that does that. What changes what kind of Senate majority do to kind of hold them to account or even stop that?”

Schiff said, “Well, we’ll of course, to oversight of the administration. But judging from his first term, when we subpoenaed, for example, administration officials in the Russia Ukraine investigations, they basically stonewall the subpoenas. In fact, Trump was impeached in that first impeachment, not just for trying to extort Zelensky to get him to help cheat in the election, but also because he was stonewalling, congressional subpoenas. So I don’t think we can expect a whole lot from the administration, but we can subpoena the private sector and they will need to comply. So all of the crypto deals and meme coin deals, the UFC fight, all the back channeling on the Paramount SkyDance, and Warner Brothers mergers, whether there are promises made of changing editorial content, all of that kind of corruption, potential corruption, we will be able to look into.”
