ICE Protests

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—One of the largest hotel chains in the United States is purportedly refusing service to immigration agents amid a growing crackdown in the Minneapolis region.

A hotel associated with Hilton Hotels & Resorts is explicitly refusing service to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents attempting to book reservations in Minneapolis, according to a company email released by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The apparent anti-ICE policy follows increased federal law enforcement activity in the city, which is reeling from immigrant-related fraud.

“We have noticed an influx of GOV reservations made today that have been for DHS, and we are not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at our property,” a Hilton email stated to an unidentified DHS employee. “If you are with DHS or immigration, let us know as we will have to cancel your reservation.”

Hilton allegedly followed up on this email with another message roughly two hours later:

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) is running for re-election. A year after the horrific failures of the Palisades and Eaton Fires that raged while she partied in Ghana on the taxpayers’ dime, you would think she’d either slink under a rock or take some accountability.

Instead, she is making the rounds of D-List Democrat podcasts, like former DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, to reinvent and manufacture a record that doesn’t exist. Bass’ latest revisionist take: The 2025 L.A. anti-ICE Riots were comparable to rowdy sports fans when the Lakers won the championship. Apparently, flaming Waymos and Mexican flags are now standard at championship parades.

Bass also ranted that the National Guard wasn’t needed to quell last summer’s unrest, and alleged that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers are just modern-day slave patrols.

Border czar Tom Homan questioned Sunday why Minnesota authorities should be involved in investigating an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent’s fatal shooting of a woman, arguing that they have thus far failed to cooperate with the Trump administration.

An ICE agent fatally shot Renee Good while carrying out an enforcement operation in Minneapolis on Jan. 7, prompting emotional reactions from Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota and Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis. Homan told “Fox News Sunday” guest host Jacqui Heinrich that Walz and Frey’s “irritates” him after Heinrich mentioned Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s comments defending the agent’s actions.

“It is a federal crime to impede or interfere with an ICE officer. … we can see what’s happening throughout the country, I think it’s a funded, organized attack against ICE officers,” Homan said. “And what irritates me is, the left wants to play this game that ICE  they’re not law enforcement officers. They are federal law enforcement officers. Impeding them or interfering with them is a crime.”

Explosive new details have emerged surrounding the fatal shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis, revealing that anti-ICE activists were actively training locals on how to obstruct federal immigration agents just days before the confrontation turned deadly.

According to screenshots shared by journalist Julie Kelly, a Minnesota chapter of the activist network “ICE Watch” held a virtual training session on Monday.

The training session was only two days before Good was shot dead by an ICE agent in south Minneapolis.

Gun control activist David Hogg suggested during a Sunday morning MS NOW appearance that merely arguing Renee Good may have been in the wrong when she was allegedly fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent amounts to “dangerous” rhetoric.

The ousted Democratic National Committee (DNC) vice chair repeatedly used the word “dangerous” to refer to Vice President JD Vance and other Trump administration officials making the case the ICE agent shot Good in self-defense Wednesday in Minneapolis. On the day of the shooting, Assistant Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said Good was “attempting to run over our law enforcement officers” and the agent fired the fatal shot “fearing for his life.” DHS Secretary Kristi Noem likewise likened Good’s last actions to “domestic terrorism.”

“I just think about how incredibly dangerous this rhetoric is, regardless of what she wants to say about this person, they were calling her a domestic terrorist before her body was cold,” Hogg, 25, told “The Weekend” co-host Eugene Daniels on Sunday. “That is so dangerous for the government to be doing that. Across the board, we all should be agreeing that there needs to be an investigation here, before we have anybody in the Executive Branch coming and saying, ‘Well, this is exactly who she [Good] was.’”

Despite Democrats’ raging against the agency, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents are continuing to arrest illegal migrant child rapists and killers in Minnesota.

Amid their enforcement surge, federal immigration authorities are nabbing “the worst of the worst” criminal illegal migrants all across the Land of 10,000 Lakes, according to ICE Director Todd Lyons. While deportation officers nab gruesome individuals throughout Minnesota, high-profile Democratic politicians are publicly demanding they leave immediately.

Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.) said on Sunday she thinks the Trump administration is trying to “cover up” the fatal shooting of a 37-year-old woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer by pushing a narrative before investigators were able to gather information. “I think what we are seeing here is the federal government, [Homeland…

A Somali immigrant in Minnesota is under federal investigation after posting a TikTok video in which he openly threatened to shoot Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents amid heightened federal enforcement activity targeting criminal illegal aliens in the Twin Cities.

The man was identified by the New York Post as Hasan Mohamed, a student at the taxpayer-funded Minnesota State University.

“ICE, I actually heard you guys pulled up to Owatonna, the big O, and you pulled up when I was not there?” Mohamed said in the now-deleted clip.

“Y’all so p–s-ass s–t, boy.

“You’re gonna get popped next time I see you.

Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara has triggered a political firestorm this week after warning city officers they could be fired if they fail to intervene against what he deems “unlawful” or “excessive” force by federal immigration agents.

The directive immediately set Minneapolis on a collision course with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“If unlawful force is being used by any law enforcement officer against any person in this city and one of our officers is there, absolutely, I expect them to intervene, or they’ll be fired,” O’Hara said at a press conference, tying the policy to lessons the department claims it drew from the George Floyd incident.

“We’re not going to repeat that mistake with any agency, or otherwise.”

Democrats have spent the entirety of the second Trump administration attacking the President’s immigration plans as well as the ICE and Border Patrol agents who keep our country safe.

Tim Walz has been one of the most vocal critics, calling ICE the “Gestapo” and “fascists” on multiple occasions. That rhetoric has led to a massive increase in violent attacks against ICE agents, including a shooting at an ICE facility in Texas that killed at least two migrants.

But that’s not good enough for Walz. Now he has to lie about ICE arresting American citizens.

Democrats have a knack for downplaying political violence when it suits their political narrative, but Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) took it to a new, disgraceful low on Thursday.

During a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing, the Mississippi Democrat, who previously chaired Nancy Pelosi’s handpicked January 6 Select Committee, decided to rewrite history. He referred to the targeted assassination attempt on American soldiers by Afghan Rahmanullah Lakanwal as an “unfortunate accident.”

You really have to see the transcript to believe the level of disconnect on display here.

Thompson was questioning DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and NCTC Director Joseph Kent. He attempted to trap them in a bureaucratic gotcha moment regarding asylum paperwork. In the process, he revealed exactly how the Left views threats to our nation. Thompson looked at Secretary Noem and casually referred to “the unfortunate accident that occurred with the National Guardsman being killed.”

One night after hyping “disturbing images” out of Florida during a Border Patrol operation, ABC’s World News Tonight was at it again on Friday. This time, anchor David Muir and correspondent Pierre Thomas labeled the videos “alarming” and “harrowing” despite each of the three examples having a perfectly reasonable explanation.

Muir kicked off the segment by declaring, “We move on to the alarming new images this evening. A woman seen being chased by federal agents near New Orleans, screaming to be left alone. She’s a U.S. citizen being chased by Border Patrol, but Homeland Security is now saying tonight it comes amid similar scenes playing out across the country as President Trump’s immigration crackdown grows. Pierre Thomas with the images tonight.”

Thomas began his report with “harrowing video showing a woman frantically running away from federal agents in Louisiana. President Trump’s nationwide immigration crackdown intensifies.”

As it turns out, the episode was just a case of mistaken identity, “Masked border agents chasing that woman on foot as she screams in fear. Running into her house as her stepfather races outside. Initially thinking she was being kidnapped. Demanding answers. That woman was a 23-year-old U.S. citizen. DHS saying in a statement, “All agents left the area as soon as they determined the individual in question was not who they were looking for.’”

WITNESS “is a global organization that helps people everywhere harness the power of video and audiovisual technology to tell their stories, document the truth, and defend human rights – today and in a future increasingly shaped by AI.” And in whatever pursuit that even is, they have published a video recommending people record ICE agents engaged in lawful arrests of illegal aliens. Unclear where they got the idea that humans have a “right” to break the law, but I digress.

According to the video, people have “the right to film interactions” between illegals and ICE agents. This recommendation comes after there have been record numbers of doxxing incidents targeting agents and their families. And when you see videos like this, it’s not even remotely surprising.

The video even goes as far as to recommend people get any and all information, such as badge numbers and uniforms. It’s unclear exactly why people would need this information, but you can do the math.

There must have been a time in American history when six sitting lawmakers urging members of the military to defy the commander-in-chief would have been viewed as outright sedition — and those lawmakers would have quickly faced justice. In the age of Trump, however, those days are long gone.

Touting their prior military and intelligence service, Democratic Sens. Elissa Slotkin (MI), who organized the video, Mark Kelly (AZ), and Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA), Maggie Goodlander (NH), Chrissy Houlahan (PA), and Jason Crow CO), launched a surreal video on Tuesday in which they called on troops to refuse to carry out what they consider to be President Donald Trump’s “illegal” orders.

Here is their statement, which the lawmakers read to viewers in turns:

We want to speak directly to members of the military and the intelligence community who take risks each day to keep Americans safe.

We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now.

Americans trust their military. But that trust is at risk.

This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence community professionals against American citizens. Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.

Pope Leo has come out in support of a rare special message released by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in recent days that lamented a “climate of fear and anxiety around questions of profiling and immigration enforcement.”

Without mentioning U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration by name, 216 of 224 bishops voted in favour of releasing the message that condemned the “vilification” of migrants and expressed concerns over the fear and anxiety immigration raids have sown in communities, as well as the denial of pastoral care to migrants in detention centres.

Speaking to reporters late Tuesday as he left the papal country house south of Rome, Leo urged Catholics and all people of goodwill to listen to what they said.

“I think we have to look for ways of treating people humanely, treating people with the dignity that they have,” he said. “If people are in the United States illegally, there are ways to treat that. There are courts, there’s a system of justice.”

Republicans are firing back after a group of six Democrat lawmakers created a video telling U.S. military members and the intelligence community they do not need to follow “illegal orders.”

“Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home,” the Democrats say in the video message. “Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. … You must refuse illegal orders.”

Michigan Democratic Sen. Elissa Slotkin shared the video, which appears to be in reference to the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement operations, on X Tuesday, telling the military and intelligence community, the “American people need you to stand up for our laws and our Constitution. Don’t give up the ship.”

U. Maryland leftists demand sanctuary campus, no cooperation with ICE

Far-left University of Maryland groups are demanding school administrators declare UMD a “sanctuary” for illegal immigrant students, and that they do not cooperate with any Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

petition created by UMD’s Young Democratic Socialists of America claims the Trump administration — “empowered by an unaccountable executive branch” — is “escalating its attacks on vulnerable populations” via “armed and masked thugs in plain clothes” who are “kidnapping people […] for speaking out against genocide or simply for speaking a different language.”

On Saturday’s The Weekend, co-host Eugene Daniels fretted over video of an immigration arrest in Massachusetts without informing viewers they were targeting a violent criminal, and then allowed a Democrat congresswoman to call the Homeland Security Department a “domestic terrorism organization.” And co-host Jonathan Capehart brought up the case of immigration agents arresting a teacher at a Chicago daycare without informing viewers that she ran to the daycare trying to evade a traffic stop.

At 8:30 a.m. Capehart first brought up the Massachusetts arrest and skeptically read only part of DHS’s statement:

All this comes amid yet more disturbing ICE arrest footage in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. There was video on social media of a man appearing to suffer a seizure while holding a toddler during an arrest. ICE disputes that account, saying the man had, quote, “no legitimate medical episode,” and that he allegedly refused treatment.

House Democrats have been caught spreading a video on social media that promotes false claims about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and their operations.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a detailed rebuttal on Friday after the misleading video was deceitfully reposted and amplified by House Homeland Security Committee Democrats.

The video misrepresented an ICE enforcement operation in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.

The committee’s official account on X accused DHS of dishonesty.

While sharing footage of the arrest, the account wrote:

“DHS will lie. They always do,”

A gunman allegedly opened fire on U.S. Border Patrol agents conducting immigration enforcement operations in Chicago Tuesday, forcing officers to call for police backup.

The shooting occurred near 26th Street and Kedzie Avenue when an unknown male in a black Jeep fired shots at federal agents before fleeing the scene, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Others at the scene threw a paint can and bricks at Border Patrol vehicles.

Chicago Police responded to assist and cleared the area. The shooter and vehicle remain at large.

The media have been inundating Americans with stories of ICE’s cruelty to old ladies, babies, innocent men, and ordinary “Americans”—almost all of them here illegally, of course. It’s a non-stop drip of poisonous claims against federal law enforcement officers, all intended to make them look like Nazi stormtroopers attacking utterly innocent people who just happen to be here illegally, and are occasionally murderers, rapists, and pedophiles.

Nor are these stories just appearing on social media. “Reputable” news outlets are covering them, keeping the inflammatory material in the first paragraphs and burying the exculpatory facts deep in the articles.

The former DOJ lawyer who was on trial for throwing a sandwich at a federal agent over the summer was found not guilty by a DC jury on Thursday.

A man in a salmon-colored t-shirt was caught on video throwing a sandwich at a federal officer in DC over the summer after President Trump deployed the National Guard to patrol the streets.

The sandwich thrower was identified as 37-year-old Sean Charles Dunn, a DOJ trial attorney. A DC grand jury previously refused to indict Dunn on felony charges so the DOJ downgraded his charges to a misdemeanor and went to trial.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer suffered a severe laceration to his mouth and burns to his face after a criminal illegal alien assaulted him with a metal coffee cup during an enforcement operation in Houston, Texas, Monday. The laceration resulted in 13 stitches on and above the officer’s lip.

ICE agents have arrested more than 1,500 criminal aliens, gang members, foreign fugitives and immigration offenders in the Houston area over a ten-day period.

Walter Leonel Perez Rodriguez, a violent criminal illegal alien from El Salvador, allegedly attacked the Houston ICE officer while he was being apprehended.

Rodriguez, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), had previously been convicted of numerous charges, including sexual assault of a child under 17 –years-old, multiple DUIs, child fondling, and illegally re-entering the United States.

The statement sought by CBS News and provided by the Department of Homeland Security completely undermined the report on a Chicago ICE arrest that ran on the Evening News. But the network ran the report nonetheless, burying the DHS’s statement at the end of the report.

Here is that report in its entirety, as aired on the CBS Evening News on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025:

MAURICE DuBOIS: There is outrage in Chicago tonight following a federal immigration arrest at a day care center.

JOHN DICKERSON: While witnesses say it was a chaotic scene, officials say the day care was not the primary target. Ash-har Quraishi has the story.

ASH-HAR QURAISHI: This video captured the moment ICE agents dragged a pre-K teacher out of a day care center on Chicago’s North Side. She can be seen pleading with the agents as she is pushed up against a waiting sedan. At one point, she shouts in Spanish, “I have papers.”

MIKE QUIGLEY: ICE agents followed a teacher into the facility without a warrant and abducted her in front of her students. This woman is a trusted, loved member of her community. With a work permit.

QURAISHI: Officials identified the woman as Diana Galeano, a Colombian national in the country since 2023 and seeking asylum. Children, teachers, and parents inside of the time of the arrest said they were traumatized by what they saw.

A Democrat congressman has been accused of distorting the facts about the arrest of an illegal alien at a daycare facility in Chicago.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has accused Democrat Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL) of lying about the circumstances of the arrest.

According to Breitbart, Quigley falsely claimed that ICE agents arrested an innocent “preschool teacher.”

However, Quigley failed to mention that the “teacher” is a foreign national who had entered the country illegally.

Quigley provoked outrage from leftists on social media by claiming that ICE stormed into the school and “abducted a preschool teacher without a warrant – in front of children.”

Key Takeaways

  • University of Chicago Professor Eman Abdelhadi faces charges of aggravated battery against a police officer during her participation in protests at an ICE detention facility.
  • Abdelhadi was arrested in October and then released on bail. She is scheduled back in court later this month.
  • She has a history of contentious statements about her university and political figures, including telling the late Vice President Dick Cheney to ‘rest in hell.’

University of Chicago Professor Eman Abdelhadi is scheduled to be back in court Nov. 21 after she was charged by the state of Illinois with aggravated battery against a police officer in October.

Her arrest and charges stem from the sociology professor’s involvement in weeks-long protests outside an ICE detention facility in Broadview, Illinois. She is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery allegedly against a police officer, as well as two misdemeanor counts of obstructing the peace.

One of the most notorious tactics employed by left-wing agitators during their so-called “peaceful protests” is to try and conceal their identities by wearing a bandana or scarf that partially covers their faces, ski mask-style facial coverings, or some type of character mask that obscures pretty much everything but their eyes.

More recently in Portland, however, the nightly rabble rousers have, in many instances, begun wearing full costumes in front of the city’s ICE facility as a way to distract and deceive federal law enforcement, something we also saw during some of the “No Kings” protests in mid-October.

Here are a couple of examples:

“Unfortunately, we expect to see more of these operations in the coming weeks. It’s important to remember that everyone still has rights—no matter what,” said Rep. Ruiz.

Oregon state representative Ricki Ruiz called to disrupt a high-risk immigration enforcement operation, which involved making targeted arrests of Tren de Aragua gang members at an apartment complex situated next to a Portland elementary school.

The suspects, all of whom are illegally present in the United States, had been using the apartment unit as a “stash house” to harbor illicit drugs, firearms, and ammunition, which were being sold in the Portland, Oregon area, according to federal investigators. Rep. Ruiz, a Democrat, condemned the October 24 operation on social media, sharing a hotline from the Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) that mobilizes anti-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activists to disrupt immigration enforcement actions once ICE activity is reported.

Rockwood Preparatory Academy (K-5) closed the school for the day due to the presence of federal agents.

The “No Kings” movement started last June with a series of protests opposing what the organizers say are the corrupt and authoritarian policies of President Trump. The most recent event occurred on October 18, when supporters claimed that more than seven million people participated in over 2,700 events across all 50 states.

Like any president, Trump has made some mistakes, but calling him a “king” is absurd. Kings are not elected, and Trump ran for office three times, winning twice.

In fact, when it comes to tyranny, the fingers should really be pointed at the leftists in the “No Kings” crowd.

Let’s start with Trump’s predecessor, Joe Biden, and his cronies. As Victor Davis Hanson points out, in 2021, Biden’s DOJ and FBI raided former President Trump’s home. They found only 102 classified documents among approximately 14,000 seized, yet still indicted him. However, there was no SWAT raid on Biden’s multiple repositories of illegally removed classified documents.
