House Democrats have been caught spreading a video on social media that promotes false claims about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and their operations.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a detailed rebuttal on Friday after the misleading video was deceitfully reposted and amplified by House Homeland Security Committee Democrats.
The video misrepresented an ICE enforcement operation in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
The committee’s official account on X accused DHS of dishonesty.
While sharing footage of the arrest, the account wrote:
“DHS will lie. They always do,”
