House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) warned Bill and Hillary Clinton Friday that if they continue to ignore deposition subpoenas regarding their history with Jeffrey Epstein, he will initiate contempt proceedings.

The House Oversight Committee is conducting a review of the federal government’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, focused on potential mismanagement of the case, the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, his trafficking network, and possible ethics violations by elected officials.

Comer sent a letter to Clinton attorney David Kendall, emphasizing that the Clintons are required to comply with House subpoenas and appear for scheduled in-person depositions.

According to the chairman, Democrats and Republicans on the Oversight Committee approved a motion to issue the subpoenas back in July.

The Democrats continue to embarrass themselves over the Jeffrey Epstein matter.

I reported on Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s (TX-30) shameless efforts to link Republicans to Epstein donations to deflect from the fact that the convicted sex offender donated to Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett, the non-voting delegate from the Virgin Islands.

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has publicly beclowned herself for the second time in a week by falsely accusing several Republican politicians of taking money from “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.”

“Folks who also took money from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein, as I had my team dig in very quickly—Mitt Romney, the NRCC, Lee Zeldin, George Bush, McCain-Palin,” Crocket declared on the House floor on Tuesday.

Federal campaign finance records show that Epstein donated primarily to Democrats, including two current sitting members of Congress, Delegate Stacy Plaskett (D-V.I) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), both of whom have retained the donations, despite scrutiny.

Even worse, newly released documents from Epstein’s estate include text messages between Plaskett and Epstein that show he advised her on what questions to ask President Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen during a 2019 congressional hearing.

President Trump had nothing to hide, and he also knows that his team can easily swat away any attacks lobbed by Democrats over the Epstein Files. They’ve done so before. With Congress pushing through a bill releasing all the files yesterday, some on the Hill are already off to the races and have smashed into a wall, too. It’s imploding, not least because Democrats are named.

Washington continues to attract some of the worst people in America, and Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX-30) is no exception. Her pathological tendencies range from alleged abuse of her staff to repeatedly misrepresenting her wealthy background.

How stupid do you have to be to, when you want to smear your opponents for taking donations from Jeffrey Epstein, not check to see if it’s the right Jeffrey Epstein? Apparently, you have to be Jasmine Crockett stupid. On the floor of the House, she thought she had Republicans in a gotcha. Instead, she gotched herself. Hard.

At issue was Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett and the attempt to censure her over her – alleged(?) – Epstein ties:

Plaskett was caught texting Epstein, whose primary residence was in the U.S. Virgin Islands, during a 2019 hearing when former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was testifying about his work with the president amid an ongoing probe into Trump’s business dealings and matters tied to the 2016 election.

This list so far includes Larry Summers, Bill Clinton’s treasury secretary and director of Obama’s National Economic Council; Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett; and Kathryn Ruemmler, White House counsel under Obama. Now, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has found himself in the middle.

This week, House Oversight Chairman James Comer dropped a bombshell that Jeffries probably hoped would never see daylight.

Newly released Epstein files are now raising serious questions for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY).

The documents revealed that Jeffries’ representatives sought donations from convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

The emails show that Jeffries’ reps encouraged the child sex offender to attend a private fundraising dinner with then-President Barack Obama.

Thousands of pages of Epstein’s estate documents were released last week by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Doescher said on Tuesday that this will bring an end to Congress’s focus on Epstein and his connections with Trump. However, she added that “a faction” of Republican lawmakers does not share this mentality, as they are “mad” that the president “dictates MAGA.”

Why? Because it’s all a political ploy meant to take down their nemesis, President Donald Trump.

As RedState Managing Editor Jennifer Van Laar reported Wednesday, Democrats on the House Oversight Committee genuinely thought they finally had Trump cornered when it came to the Epstein files. They released a trove of 20,000 documents from the late sex-trafficker’s estate, then honed in on three particular out-of-context emails which, in their minds, showed something nefarious.

Instead, it blew up spectacularly when it was discovered that the emails had redacted any mention of the “victim” in the case, who happened to be Virginia Giuffre. That move was intentional. Giuffre had stated under oath that Trump never acted inappropriately with her and that she never saw him with Epstein.
