Epstein Files

A 2014 email exchange between Plaskett and Epstein’s former executive assistant, Lesley Groff, reveals Plaskett accepted an invitation to the island.

Virgin Islands Democratic Delegate Stacey Plaskett is alleged to have been a visitor to Jeffrey Epstein’s private island, according to Epstein-related documents recently released by the Department of Justice.

A massive new release of Department of Justice (DOJ) records tied to Jeffrey Epstein is sending shockwaves through elite circles, and billionaire Bill Gates appears to be scrambling after being directly implicated in a series of deeply disturbing allegations.

As Slay News previously reported, the millions of pages released Friday include emails in which Epstein makes salacious claims that Gates begged him to obtain antibiotics so he could secretly dose his wife to conceal sexually transmitted diseases he allegedly contracted from “Russian girls.”

According to the DOJ-released files, Epstein discussed helping Gates obtain drugs “in order to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls,” as well as facilitating illicit relationships with married women.

Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Monday defended President Donald Trump’s administration handling of files about deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein on his first episode of “The Dan Bongino Show” since leaving the bureau.

After Axios reported on July 6 that a Department of Justice (DOJ) memo found that Epstein had left no “client list” and that there was no evidence of foul play in his death, many Trump supporters criticized the administration. However, Bongino suggested on his show that the administration could not have handled the Epstein files better.

The latest release of the Epstein files includes a 2013 email from the disgraced financier and sex predator to himself about the Microsoft co-founder in which Epstein claims Gates caught an STD after “sex with Russians girls” and wanted to slip antibiotics to his wife instead of telling her. Gates insists the claims are “completely false.”

In the 2013 email — written seemingly in the voice of one of Gates’ top advisers, Boris Nikolic, but sent only to Epstein himself  — the disgraced financier and convicted sex predator wrote that the Microsoft co-founder was trying “to get drugs in order to deal with consequences of sex with Russian girls.”

U.S. Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett privately referred to Jeffrey Epstein as her “friend” and shared him exclusive, non-public details about her legislative work, according to newly released text messages that undercut her public claims about the nature of their relationship.

In a Sept. 24, 2018, message, Plaskett thanked Epstein, a longtime campaign donor and Virgin Islands resident, for his “support” and asked whether it would be “presumptuous” of her to “consider you a friend.”

“Privileged to be called friend,” Epstein replied. He was arrested 10 months later on federal charges accusing him of trafficking dozens of women and girls for sex. He died by suicide in jail on Aug. 10, 2019.

The latest release of the Jeffrey Epstein Files has detonated an explosive political firestorm in the United Kingdom, after newly disclosed emails exposed disturbing conversations between the convicted child predator and the UK’s former Ambassador to the United States, Lord Peter Mandelson, one of Britain’s most powerful Labour Party figures and a longtime anti-Trump operative.

The emails, released as part of the newest tranche of Justice Department records, show Epstein joking with Lord Mandelson about marrying into the British royal family.

It has been 9,133 days since William Jefferson Clinton was president.

In that time, the World Trade Center has fallen. The first mass-produced product with WiFi, Apple’s iBook, was less than two years old at the time. Broadband internet was rare outside of college campuses. Real smartphones were years away. Barack Obama was an Illinois state senator who had, just four years prior, transitioned from being a “community organizer.”

George W. Bush was replacing Clinton, thanks in part to third-party candidates who took away votes from Democratic nominee Al Gore. One of them wasn’t businessman Donald Trump, who had considered a Reform Party run but decided against it. Liberals and conservatives alike, of course, thought that the possibility itself was silly, and thank heavens it didn’t have to be entertained anymore.

The House Oversight Committee has voted to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt of Congress for defying subpoenas related to the panel’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation.

The GOP-controlled committee advanced the contempt resolutions against the Clintons for a full House vote, which should take place within weeks.

Several Democrat lawmakers joined Republicans to vote in favor of the contempt resolutions.

“Today was a big day for accountability,” House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) said.

A federal judge has shut down an effort by two anti-Trump House lawmakers to force the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to immediately release all remaining files related to Jeffrey Epstein, ruling that the court lacks jurisdiction to intervene.

On Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer issued a seven-page decision rejecting a request from Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) to participate in the closed criminal case of Ghislaine Maxwell as amici curiae, or “friends of the court.”

Khanna and Massie had asked Engelmayer to appoint a special master to oversee the DOJ’s compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act (EFTA), a law they authored and that was signed by President Donald Trump last year.

Blurb:

The House Oversight Committee issued deposition subpoenas on Aug. 5 to failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton requiring their testimony “related to horrific crimes perpetrated by Jeffrey Epstein.”

Evidently the Clintons didn’t feel that they should be held to the same standard to which Democrats previously held President Donald Trump’s former adviser Steve Bannon and current trade adviser Peter Navarro, who were both jailed for defying subpoenas issued by the Jan. 6 committee.

‘The Clintons were legally required to appear and instead responded to our good-faith negotiations with defiance.’

After repeated warnings that the Clintons risked criminal exposure by failing to comply with the subpoenas, the committee advanced two resolutions on Wednesday recommending that the House of Representatives find them in contempt of Congress.

Former President Bill Clinton is famous for his tendency to parse words, but when it comes to the Epstein files, he’d rather not say anything at all.

The one-time Democrat wunderkind and his entitled wife, Hillary, have been repeated no-shows at the House Oversight Committee, which had subpoenaed the pair to deliver depositions on what they knew about pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and when they knew it.

Blurb:

Former President Bill Clinton — who famously palled around with deceased sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein — refused to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday.

Clinton was subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee for closed-door testimony in regards to the House’s probe into Epstein but never showed. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said “not a single Democrat” showed up to the deposition either.

Following Clinton’s no-show, Comer said, “We will move next week in the House Oversight Committee … to hold Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress.”

More than two weeks after the December 19 deadline to release records tied to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, the Department of Justice (DOJ) says it is still working through a vast backlog of unreleased material.

The DOJ acknowledges that millions of documents remain under review.

In a letter to U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer of the Southern District of New York, the department disclosed that:

“There are more than 2 million documents potentially responsive to the Act that are in various phases of review.”

Former President Bill Clinton defied a House Republican committee’s subpoena Tuesday in an escalating battle over Congress’s handling of an investigation of disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer threatened the former president with a contempt prosecution, while Clinton accused the Republican of mounting a partisan campaign to hide, rather than reveal, the truth about Epstein and his powerful connections.

Clinton failed to appear at a deposition for Comer’s panel Tuesday. Instead, the former president posted a letter to the chairman on social media denouncing his investigation and condemning him for resisting successful legislation to force disclosure of Justice Department files on Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.

“If the government didn’t do all it could to investigate and prosecute these crimes, for whatever reason, that should be the focus of your work – to learn why and to prevent that from happening ever again. There is no evidence that you are doing so,” Clinton wrote in a letter co-signed by his wife, former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, who has also been subpoenaed by the panel.

One of the lawmakers behind a new law mandating the release of the government’s Jeffrey Epstein files said he is giving the Justice Department until Friday to comply, while warning there will be consequences if it does not.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law last month by President Donald Trump, “calls for the release, publicly, of these files,” Rep. Ro Khanna, D-Calif., told NBC News.

Khanna said the Justice Department has not responded to inquiries about when or how the records will be released but pointed to DOJ’s recent move to unseal grand jury materials as a sign officials may be trying to comply.

The law requires the department to make the files public by Dec. 19.

Khanna said the material could expose how Epstein wielded influence and intimidation.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) on Monday set new January deposition dates for former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, warning that continued refusal to testify in Congress’s Jeffrey Epstein investigation will trigger immediate contempt of Congress proceedings.

In a sharply worded letter sent to the Clintons’ attorney, David Kendall of Williams & Connolly, Comer rejected arguments that the former officials should be excused from appearing and accused their legal team of mischaracterizing the scope of the investigation while obstructing efforts to schedule testimony.

“The Committee has chosen the date of January 13, 2026, for the deposition of President Clinton and January 14, 2026, for the deposition of Secretary Clinton,” Comer wrote. “If your clients do not comply with these new dates, the Committee will move immediately to contempt proceedings.”

After the nearly unanimous passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act last month, many have wondered what other files and information have yet to be disclosed amid the heated controversy over the Epstein files.

A federal judge in Florida just ordered the release of grand jury documents from an old case against Epstein, defying past orders not to release them.

US District Judge Rodney Smith argued that a recent law now takes precedence over the rules that prohibited past disclosure.

U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith has ordered the release of grand jury transcripts related to investigations from 2005 and 2007 involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Blurb:

Judge Rodney Smith of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, granted the Department of Justice’s request to release the grand jury transcripts from Jeffrey Epstein’s trial.

Smith agreed to the request due to the Epstein Files Transparency Act of 2025.

Smith wrote:

In its instant motion, the Government argues that the newly enacted Act overrides Rule 6(e)’s prohibition on the public disclosure of the grand jury transcripts in this matter. In support of its position, the Government cites Savage Services Corp. v. United States for the proposition “that more recent or specific statutes should prevail over older or more general ones.” 25 F.4th 925, 933 (11th Cir. 2022) (quoting Tug Allie-B, Inc. v. United States, 273 F.3d 936, 941 (11th Cir. 2001)). The Act applies to unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials that relate to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Consequently, the later-enacted and specific language of the Act trumps Rule 6’s prohibition on disclosure. Accordingly, it is

ORDERED that United States’ Expedited Motion to Unseal Grand Jury Transcripts and Modify Protective Order [DE 6] is GRANTED.

Following months of political theater, gamesmanship, and grandstanding in the halls of Congress, President Donald Trump has signed into law the bill to release the Epstein files.

Political leaders on both sides of the aisle have taken victory laps for transparency and are eagerly awaiting the release of documents to score more political points. But like much of what happens in the halls of Congress these days, the Epstein files law is yet another example of Congress appearing to fix a problem and failing to do so. This law is a red herring and is endemic of the much larger problem of weak congressional oversight.

The Epstein legislation is poorly written and contains loopholes large enough to drive a Mack truck through. For example, the legislation applies only to records in the possession of the Justice Department. What about the rest of the U.S. government? There are legitimate questions surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s connections to the intelligence community. By cabining records in the possession of the Justice Department, the bill leaves a lot of meat on the bone.

House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) warned Bill and Hillary Clinton Friday that if they continue to ignore deposition subpoenas regarding their history with Jeffrey Epstein, he will initiate contempt proceedings.

The House Oversight Committee is conducting a review of the federal government’s investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, focused on potential mismanagement of the case, the circumstances surrounding Epstein’s death, his trafficking network, and possible ethics violations by elected officials.

Comer sent a letter to Clinton attorney David Kendall, emphasizing that the Clintons are required to comply with House subpoenas and appear for scheduled in-person depositions.

According to the chairman, Democrats and Republicans on the Oversight Committee approved a motion to issue the subpoenas back in July.

The Democrats continue to embarrass themselves over the Jeffrey Epstein matter.

I reported on Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s (TX-30) shameless efforts to link Republicans to Epstein donations to deflect from the fact that the convicted sex offender donated to Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett, the non-voting delegate from the Virgin Islands.

Blurb:

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) has publicly beclowned herself for the second time in a week by falsely accusing several Republican politicians of taking money from “somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.”

“Folks who also took money from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein, as I had my team dig in very quickly—Mitt Romney, the NRCC, Lee Zeldin, George Bush, McCain-Palin,” Crocket declared on the House floor on Tuesday.

Federal campaign finance records show that Epstein donated primarily to Democrats, including two current sitting members of Congress, Delegate Stacy Plaskett (D-V.I) and Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), both of whom have retained the donations, despite scrutiny.

Even worse, newly released documents from Epstein’s estate include text messages between Plaskett and Epstein that show he advised her on what questions to ask President Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen during a 2019 congressional hearing.

Blurb:

The Democratic National Committee posted and then quickly removed a claim on X that President Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving with Jeffrey Epstein in 2017, based on an unconfirmed email from the convicted sex offender released in a House Oversight Committee probe.

White House records and media reports confirm Trump was at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, with family, staff, and military personnel that day. The incident, occurring amid ongoing Epstein document disclosures, prompted backlash from Trump supporters, who accused the DNC of spreading false information.

Journalist Andy Ngo spotted the deletion and pointed out the absurdity of the claims. “The official
@TheDemocrats X account tweeted out a lie from Jeffrey Epstein that President Trump spent Thanksgiving 2017 with him,” Ngo wrote.

Democrats recently released some bits and pieces from Jeffrey Epstein’s private emails.

Once again, it proved to be a total nothing burger.

More on that here:

New Epstein Files Leaked By Dems, Once Again A Big “Nothing Burger”

However, that didn’t stop Democrats from throwing out some wild accusations.

In one of the emails, Jeffrey Epstein references “trump” while talking about plans for Thanksgiving of 2017.

That was enough for Democrats to jump to conclusions and celebrate that they finally caught President Trump doing something wrong!

Blurb:

Democrats were left with a heaping helping of egg on their face after another attempt to link President Trump to Jeffrey Epstein failed, forcing them to scramble to delete the flimsy “evidence” involving their latest baseless claim.

The Democratic National Committee’s official X account on Thursday posted and then quickly deleted a claim alleging the President spent Thanksgiving 2017 with Jeffrey Epstein.

Using incredibly out-of-context emails, the DNC made it clear that they were offering evidence that “documents show Donald Trump spent Thanksgiving with Jeffrey Epstein in 2017.”

Whoever pushed out that message clearly struggles with reading comprehension and didn’t for a moment wonder about the plausibility of the leader of the free world sneaking out of Turkey Day celebrations to pal around with a convicted sex offender for a few hours … without anybody noticing.

Blurb:

Democrat Virgin Islands Del. Stacey Plaskett is attempting to explain away newly uncovered messages showing she exchanged real-time texts with Jeffrey Epstein during an anti-Trump 2019 congressional hearing.

During the hearing, Plaskett was even taking Epstein’s direction on how to question a witness attacking President Donald Trump, as Slay News first reported.

Her defense came the same day the House rejected a conservative push to censure her and remove her from the powerful House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

Plaskett argued Tuesday that Epstein was simply a local constituent at the time and that she did not know he was under renewed federal investigation.

“I got a text from Jeffrey Epstein, who at the time was my constituent,” Plaskett said.

President Trump had nothing to hide, and he also knows that his team can easily swat away any attacks lobbed by Democrats over the Epstein Files. They’ve done so before. With Congress pushing through a bill releasing all the files yesterday, some on the Hill are already off to the races and have smashed into a wall, too. It’s imploding, not least because Democrats are named.

Blurb:

How stupid do you have to be to, when you want to smear your opponents for taking donations from Jeffrey Epstein, not check to see if it’s the right Jeffrey Epstein? Apparently, you have to be Jasmine Crockett stupid. On the floor of the House, she thought she had Republicans in a gotcha. Instead, she gotched herself. Hard.

At issue was Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett and the attempt to censure her over her – alleged(?) – Epstein ties:

Plaskett was caught texting Epstein, whose primary residence was in the U.S. Virgin Islands, during a 2019 hearing when former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was testifying about his work with the president amid an ongoing probe into Trump’s business dealings and matters tied to the 2016 election.
