The results of a chromosome test on Olympic gold medalist Imane Khelif at the World Boxing Championships in March 2023 confirm the Algerian boxer is, as many have suspected, a biological male.

In 2023, Khelif was disqualified by the International Boxing Association (IBA) for “failing gender eligibility tests.”

The leaked medical report, first published by 3 Wire Sports on Sunday, showed Khelif’s DNA showed “markers with male karyotypes.”

A separate medical report in June 2023 found that Khelif was born with a deficiency in his sexual organs known as “5-alpha reductase type-2,” showing XY chromosomes, internal testes and a “micropenis.”

The results of a hormone test showed that Khelif had a “male-type testosterone level of 14.7.”  In females, testosterone does not exceed the level of 3.

Vermont recently amended a 2023 law that had banned pregnancy resource centers from advertising their services and permitting nonmedical staff to provide women information or counseling about pregnancy.

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a Christian legal nonprofit that represented pregnancy centers suing over the law, stated in a May 29 news release that Vermont will “no longer openly discriminate against the centers over their life-affirming service to their communities.”

Approved by Republican Gov. Phil Scott, the law previously did not allow pregnancy resource centers to advertise their services to pregnant women because they do not refer or commit abortions, according to another ADF release. The law had also stated that even non-medical pregnancy-related information, services, or counseling must be performed or provided by licensed health care professionals.

President Trump put California Governor Gavin “Newscum” on notice that he is imposing fines on the state of California in response to a male high school student winning two state titles in female track and field competitions.

President Trump signed a landmark executive order in February to ensure that biological men could not compete in women’s sports. But California and other blue states have decided to defy Trump’s order and continue to allow men to compete against women.

“As Governor Gavin Newscum fully understands, large scale fines will be imposed!!!” the President said on Truth Social shortly after midnight on Tuesday.

This follows a warning from the President last week that the state is breaking the law and that “large scale Federal Funding will be held back, maybe permanently, if the Executive Order on this subject matter is not adhered to.”

“This is a totally ridiculous situation!!!” he added, noting that Governor Newsom has admitted that it’s unfair to allow boys in girls’ sports but allowed it to happen anyway.

EMU president reaffirms commitment to ‘protecting U.S. national security’

Eastern Michigan University is cutting ties with two Chinese universities following national security concerns from Republican lawmakers.

The school is ending its engineering teaching partnerships with Guangxi University and with Beibu Gulf University, according to a Wednesday news release from EMU.

The decision came in response to a February letter from Michigan Representatives John Moolenaar and Tim Walberg, urging EMU, along with Oakland University and the University of Detroit Mercy, to end their partnerships with Chinese universities.

EMU President James Smith sent a letter to the congressmen May 28 announcing the decision and reaffirming the school’s commitment to “protecting U.S. national security.”

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) trails Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) by 22 points in the state’s Republican Senate primary, according to a new poll released on Tuesday.

The survey, which was conducted by pollster Robert Blizzard on behalf of the Educational Freedom Institute and first obtained by Punchbowl News, showed Paxton leading Cornyn 50 percent to 28 percent among Republican primary voters.

Paxton expanded his lead among voters described as “very conservative GOP primary voters,” leading Cornyn 60 percent to 22 percent. Among voters described as “high propensity 3/3 GOP primary voters,” Paxton leads Cornyn by 30 points. The poll also showed Paxton leading Cornyn by 35 points among “MAGA voters” and by 12 points among senior voters.

The poll is the latest in a string of data points showing the incumbent senator trailing the conservative primary challenger. Last week, a poll from the Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center at Texas Southern University showed Paxton leading in a hypothetical two-way contest with 43 percent to Cornyn’s 34 percent, and 23 percent unsure.

Key takeaways

  • Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo says he would not sign a bill legalizing assisted suicide because it is “unnecessary” due to palliative care expansion and improvements in pain management.
  • The bill’s sponsor has attempted multiple times to pass the bill and vowed to continue trying.
  • Eleven states plus Washington, D.C., have legalized assisted suicide, with Delaware the most recent.

The details

Assembly Bill 346 would have legalized physician-assisted suicide in the state for terminally-ill adults age 18 and over.

Lombardo, a Republican, has vetoed assisted suicide legislation in the past; in April, he released a statement saying he would do so again. Lombardo cited advancements in palliative care as a reason why he is against assisted suicide.

A new investigation has been launched that could produce shocking new revelations about former President Joe Biden and his questionable use of the autopen. A growing number of individuals have decried the use of autopen signatures, claiming it is further evidence that the previous administration was aware of Biden’s cognitive decline and took steps to cover it up.

Critics claim the president was not capable of making final decisions on policies that would become law, thus someone whom the American people did not elect was leading the government.

A senior official within President Donald Trump’s Justice Department informed staff on Monday that he has received orders to launch an investigation into the clemency given to Biden in the final days of his presidency to both members of his family and inmates on death row.

DOJ pardon attorney Ed Martin penned an email obtained by Reuters that said the new investigation will look into whether the former president “was competent and whether others were taking advantage of him through use of AutoPen or other means.”

“An autopen is a device used to automatically affix a signature to a document. Trump and his supporters have made a variety of unfounded claims that Biden’s use of the device while president invalidated his actions or suggested that he was not fully aware of these actions. It is not known whether Biden used autopen on pardons,” Reuters explained.

Nearly six months into his historic nonconsecutive second term, the White House has just debuted a new official portrait of President Donald J. Trump.

The new portrait is a striking image that reflects the tone of his presidency and the values his administration aims to reaffirm.

On Monday, the White House released an eight-second video showing the portrait being hung at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

President Donald Trump got some good news from a poll that, at least for now, puts the final nail in the coffin for the Democrats’ “buyer’s remorse” narrative. Since the 2024 election, the Democrat Party has attempted to craft a yarn that makes it seem as if Trump voters are regretting their decision to vote the president into office.

But the cold, hard data tells a different story.

According to the poll from Trafalgar Group, conducted between May 30 and June 1, President Trump’s approval rating is 53.7 percent. These findings show an upward trajectory for the President since his election. His disapproval rating is shrinking, sitting currently at 45.6 percent. Trafalgar surveyed 1,098 voters for the poll.

Some on the left are questioning the accuracy of the poll and thus the integrity of Trafalgar Group. The organization currently has a B+ for accuracy from FiveThirtyEight, making them one of the most consistently accurate pollsters in recent election cycles, especially when it comes to capturing the sentiments of voters who are often overlooked by the mainstream media surveys.

The House Freedom Caucus on Monday called on Speaker Mike Johnson to “immediately” bring the first round of DOGE cut requests to a floor vote for “swift passage.”

The White House’s $9.4 billion rescissions package, which is expected to land in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, slashes funding from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

“When the White House submits its first rescissions package to enact DOGE spending cuts to Congress, the House of Representatives should immediately move this to the floor for swift passage,” the caucus said in a statement posted on social media.

“The House Freedom Caucus strongly supports these critical rescissions, and we will support as many more rescissions packages the White House can send us in the coming weeks and months. These first DOGE cuts target taxpayer-funded public broadcasters notorious for their liberal bias like NPR and PBS, as well as billions in wasteful foreign aid dollars,” the statement continued.

Bizarre quantum dynamics underpin our view of reality: Time travels forward for us, but in the quantum world, it may flow in two directions. Gravity itself may follow quantum rules. Quantum mechanics supports the possibility of alternative universes, but even if they exist, we can’t access them (and probably shouldn’t anyway). Some physicists argue that quantum rules dictate that everything in the universe is preordained, making free will an illusion, so we might as well accept our current reality.

Over the weekend, a conservative Polish historian named Karol Nawrocki, backed by the Law and Justice opposition (and President Trump), narrowly won the Polish presidential election. For the European political establishment, Nawrocki’s victory was a catastrophe — a harbinger of right-wing fascism looming over the continent.

Why? Because Nawrocki campaigned against the mass immigration policy of Brussels while promoting conservative Catholic values and Polish nationalism. During his victory speech Sunday night, Nawrocki said, “My Poland is a Poland without illegal migrants. It is a Poland where, instead of integration centers, there are deportation centers for those who want to destroy our safety.”

It turns out, this sentiment is increasingly popular not just in Poland but all across Europe. Last week in Portugal, the right-wing populist Chega party overtook the center-left Socialist Party as the country’s main opposition. Six years ago, Chega had only a single seat in the Assembly of the Republic. It now has 60. In Germany, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is one of the most popular political parties in the country, yet Germany’s domestic intelligence agency has officially classified AfD a right-wing extremist group. Why? Because AfD opposes mass immigration and promotes German national identity. In France’s national elections last year, only a desperately cobbled-together coalition of left-wing parties prevented the right-wing National Rally (RN) and its allies from winning.

During his remarks to Parliament last Thursday, Prime Minister Carney waxed gleefully about the U.S. federal trade court ruling against President Trump’s tariffs, just moments before the federal appeals court stayed the opinion of the lower court. It’s a little funny.

Carney doesn’t seem to recognize the reality of the economic landscape before him. He complains about blocked access to the U.S. consumer base with a level of entitlement that’s genuinely humorous. Meanwhile, the Canadian economy around him is collapsing:

Following the 2024 presidential election, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau traveled to Mar-a-Lago and said if President Trump were to make the Canadian government face reciprocal tariffs, open the USMCA trade agreements to force reciprocity, and/or balance economic relations on non-tariff issues, then Canada would collapse upon itself economically and cease to exist. In essence, in addition to the NATO defense shortfall, Canada cannot survive as a free and independent North American nation, without receiving all the one-way benefits from the U.S. economy.

A Democratic mayor in Georgia was arrested on child molestation charges, and his wife was also charged with cruelty to children.

Joseph Kelly, 38, mayor of the City of Climax and an employee of the Decatur County School District, was charged with two counts of child molestation. His wife, Natalie Kelly, 44, faces two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree.

According to the school district’s website, he is a math teacher at Bainbridge High School. It’s unclear whether he is still employed there.

The alleged acts involve multiple children.

Both were taken into custody on Saturday.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement:

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to investigate allegations that Joseph Kelly had sexual contact with multiple minors.

Both Joseph and Natalie Kelly were arrested later that same day by GBI agents and Decatur County Sheriff’s Office investigators. They were booked into the Decatur County Jail.

The UK is pressing France to change how it polices small boat crossings, British Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has said.

Her comment in the House of Commons on Monday came after more than 1,100 migrants reached the UK on Saturday — the highest number to have crossed the English Channel in a single day this year.

Cooper has faced criticism from opposition politicians, who say that criminal gangs are exploiting a loophole in French law that prevents the authorities there from intervening once migrants are afloat.

Conservative MP Chris Philp, who is the shadow home secretary, said the “French prevention rate on land is lamentably under 40%”.

“The French are not stopping these boats at sea, as the Belgians do,” Philps wrote on X.

Cooper said the UK government has urged the French authorities to allow police to intervene when migrants are in shallow waters.

“The French interior minister and the French cabinet have now agreed their rules need to change,” Cooper said in the House of Commons.

The U.S. Department of Energy has ordered another power plant, this time an oil and gas plant in Pennsylvania, to keep its turbines running through the hottest summer months as a precaution against electricity shortfalls in the 13-state mid-Atlantic grid.

The department’s order to the grid operator, PJM Interconnection, regarding the Eddystone power plant just south of Philadelphia on the Delaware River, is the department’s second use of federal power under President Donald Trump to require a power plant to keep operating on the mainland United States.

Constellation Energy had planned to shut down Eddystone’s units 3 and 4 on Saturday, but Trump’s Department of Energy ordered the company to continue operating the units until at least Aug. 28. The units can produce a combined 760 megawatts.

The department, in its order, cited PJM’s growing concerns about power shortfalls amid the shutdown of aging power plants and rising electricity demand.

Republican and Democratic Senate leaders applauded the recent reintroduction of an internet regulation bill. The legislation had previously faced opposition from a smorgasbord of LGBTQ, free speech, and conservative voices and it’s unclear whether their concerns are addressed in the new bill.

The Kids Online Safety Act passed the United States Senate last year in a 91-3 vote. It had support that ran the gamut from then-President Joe Biden to Tesla and X chief and Donald Trump megadonor Elon Musk. But the House of Representatives never voted on it, and it had to be reintroduced in the new 119th Congress.

It was reintroduced in the Senate on May 14 by its authors U.S. Senators Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut), with support from Majority Leader John Thune (R-South Dakota) and Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York).

According to a bill summary authored by the Library of Congress, the legislation would require “applications or services that connect to the internet and are likely to be used by minors” to “act in the best interest of a minor using its application or service. This includes a duty to prevent and mitigate heightened risks of harms that may arise from using the platform.”

A study in Genome Biology and Evolution finds that the African Swine Fever virus, currently circulating in Europe, is not the result of a recent introduction. Instead, the virus has been present in the region since 2007. Its current dramatic spread appears to be driven largely by people within Europe traveling longer distances. The paper is titled “Exploiting viral DNA genomes to explore the dispersal history of African swine fever genotype II lineages in Europe.”

African Swine Fever virus is a highly virulent DNA virus that causes a severe hemorrhagic disease of the same name, affecting both domestic pigs and wild boars. The disease is characterized by high mortality rates, leading to significant economic losses in the pork industry.

According to estimates from the Food and Agriculture Organization, the virus has led to approximately $2.1 billion in direct economic losses over the past 17 years. Additionally, the outbreak has destroyed many small and medium-sized farms, contributing to structural transformations in agricultural markets, notably in China. Currently, there is no vaccine against the virus available widely.

On September 16, 2023, an unusual seismic signal shook the world. It appeared like clockwork every 90 seconds and lasted for 9 consecutive days.

A month later, a similar signal reappeared and lasted for another week before disappearing.

Scientists have since determined that these seismic anomalies were triggered by 2 massive landslides which ripped through a remote fjord in east Greenland. The rock-ice avalanche generated mega-tsunamis which reached 200m high at points and even damaged an empty military base.

Researchers believed these massive waves triggered a “seiche” (pronounced saish) or standing wave, which sloshed back and forth within the ford beating on either side like a drum to produce the very long signals.

But a Danish military vessel surveying the Dickson fjord just 3 days into the first seismic event never saw such a wave. In fact, until now the only evidence came from analytical and numerical models.

Researchers from the University of Rochester and University of California, Santa Barbara, engineered a laser device smaller than a penny that they say could power everything from the LiDAR systems used in self-driving vehicles to gravitational wave detection, one of the most delicate experiments in existence to observe and understand our universe.

Laser-based measurement techniques, known as optical metrology, can be used to study the physical properties of objects and materials. But current optical metrology requires bulky and expensive equipment to achieve delicate laser-wave control, creating a bottleneck for deploying streamlined, cost-effective systems.

The new chip-scale laser, described in a paper published in Light: Science & Applications, can conduct extremely fast and accurate measurements by very precisely changing its color across a broad spectrum of light at very fast rates — about 10 quintillion times per second. Unlike traditional silicon photonics, the laser is made with a synthetic material called lithium niobate and leverages a physical phenomenon known as the Pockels effect, which changes the refractive index of a material when an electric field is present.

A new poll is showing that support for same-sex marriage has dropped to a 10-year low among Republicans but spiked to a record high among Democrats.

According to Gallup, 68% of Americans overall support same-sex marriage, barely down from 69% last year. However, that “steady” level of support—approval for same-sex marriage has hovered between 67% and 71% over the past five years and has not fallen below 50% since 2011—belies a stark and rapidly growing political division.

Gallup reports that support for same-sex marriage among Republicans has fallen to 41%, down from an all-time high of 55% in 2021 and 2022 and the lowest point since May of 2016, when support stood at 40%.

Among Democrats, however, support for same-sex marriage has peaked at 88%, the highest point recorded by Gallup among any faction. That’s up from 83% last year. Support for same-sex marriage has not fallen below 70% among Democrats since 2013, when it stood at 69%.

Independent voters generally track more closely with Democrats on the issue but are still lagging 12 points behind at 76%, up from 74% last year but down from an all-time high of 77% in 2023. Support for same-sex marriage has not fallen below 50% among independents since 2010, when it stood at 49%.

Despite statistics on support for same-sex marriage, fewer Americans of all political stripes consider same-sex relationships morally acceptable. According to Gallup, only 38% of Republicans consider same-sex relationships morally acceptable, compared to 69% of independent voters and 86% among Democrats.

It is de rigueur today in certain circles to state as a matter of proven fact that Israel is committing “genocide” in Gaza. This is a lie. I’ll explain why below, but first I want to explain just how pernicious and awful that lie actually is.

Genocide is the worst crime any nation or group of people can ever commit. The Oxford Languages Dictionary defines genocide as “the deliberate killing of a large number of people from a particular nation or ethnic group with the aim of destroying that nation or group.” In 2025, there is no more heinous crime than engaging in genocide. It is the very worst thing in the modern world, and moral people everywhere know that virtually any means of violence are justified in stopping actual, genuine genocide.

Which explains the illegal alien Egyptian who firebombed Holocaust survivors in Boulder, and the pro-Hamas activist who tried to burn down a Jewish governor’s official residence, and another pro-Hamas activist who gunned down two Israeli embassy workers at the Capital Jewish Museum. They thought they were fighting to end genocide. You see, to the men who perpetrated these crimes, they were entirely justified in what they did because their actions were moral, just, and necessary to end a “genocide.” There is a certain level of seemingly rational and moral thought there.

One of the most fascinating aspects of the 2024 election was seeing how heavily men of all races swung to Trump and Republicans. It’s such a serious issue for Democrats that they’re planning to spend upwards of $20 million to ‘study’ men and find out where they went wrong.

Poll analyst Nate Silver apparently got into this topic in a recent post on his Substack. It’s behind a paywall, but here are a few interesting points. The divide is due in part to mental health issues. The right is winning that battle.

The Wall Street Journal: Harvard Has Trained So Many Chinese Communist Officials, They Call It Their ‘Party School’

For decades, the [Chinese Communist] party has sent thousands of mid-career and senior bureaucrats to pursue executive training and postgraduate studies on U.S. campuses, with Harvard University a coveted destination described by some in China as the top “party school” outside the country.

Alumni of such programs include a former vice president and Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s top negotiator in trade talks with the first Trump administration.

Americans spend gargantuan amounts of money on education. Just K-12 costs $17,277 per student each year. For state and local governments, 8.5% of their entire budget is allocated to higher education, i.e., colleges and universities — more than what’s spent on highways, roads, police, courts, jails, and housing.

These colleges and universities also stuff their pockets with federal grants. In 2023, Americans spent nearly $60 billion on research and development grants alone.

Over the past decade, radical gender ideology hasn’t just crept into American life; it’s steamrolled through it. Hollywood worships it, government institutions promote it, and the medical establishment? They’ve cashed in. What used to be unthinkable is now mainstream, all because the left decided biology is optional and profit is paramount.

We’re talking about irreversible hormone treatments and surgeries pushed on vulnerable, confused people — many of them kids — who’ve been sold the lie that “transitioning” is the magic fix for all their problems. It’s not. It’s a one-way ticket to lifelong medical dependence and regret. But that’s the point, isn’t it? The system doesn’t want healing; it wants customers.

After years of the Biden administration condoning the mutilation of vulnerable children in the name of “gender-affirming care,” the Trump administration is standing up to protect children.

While many hospitals have finally backed away from these barbaric procedures on minors, thanks to mounting legal and public pressure, others continue to dig in. In several Democrat-run states, officials are openly defying the new federal directive, prioritizing politics over the well-being of children.

Some Democrats are looking to create a new think tank in an effort to urge the Democratic Party to promote more popular political positions, Politico first reported on Tuesday.

During a private meeting with several Democratic donors and leaders in April, Adam Jentleson — who had previously served as chief of staff to Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman and a top aide to former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid — pitched an idea to establish a new think tank called Searchlight, according to Politico. The think tank’s goal would be to encourage the Democratic Party to refocus on positions that are viewed as more widely popular among Americans ahead of the 2028 presidential election, five anonymous sources told Politico.

Seth London, who serves as an adviser to major Democratic donors, is working on the effort alongside Jentleson, according to Politico. The report comes as the Democratic Party is strategizing on how best to reconnect with voters they lost in the 2024 election cycle.
