Violence is wrong. This is what happens when a government ignores its citizens, sacrifices their security, and leaves them feeling like strangers in their own country. No one is surprised by the rage its failures ultimately provoke.

CBS:  Violent anti-immigration protests erupted in parts of Belfast on Tuesday evening with some masked demonstrators setting fire to a bus, cars, trash cans and homes. Far-right figures had called on social media for mass protests after a brutal stabbing attack the previous night in Northern Ireland’s capital.

A graphic video of the incident, showing a man slashing another man in the head and neck with a knife, spread quickly online earlier in the day. The Police Service of Northern Ireland detained and charged a Sudanese man in his 30s with attempted murder, possession of a knife in a public place and making threats to kill.

One of Canada’s top constitutional freedom groups warned that a proposed social media ban for children under age 16 could create a host of “privacy-violating” rules leading to a nationwide-mandated digital ID.

Reacting to news of a social media ban proposed by the Liberal government, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) warned in an X post that the ban could lead to overreaching digital ID laws, noting that parents should be in charge of their children’s online use.

“The Justice Centre opposes government internet surveillance and the displacement of parents as the primary decision-makers responsible for protecting young people from online harms,” it said in its X statement.

A federal appeals court has approved of President Trump’s backup tariff plan — at least, for now.

On Thursday, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit extended a block on a lower court ruling striking down the tariffs.

This means that President Trump can keep collecting 10% global tariffs under Section 122 temporarily as the further litigation continues.

Here are the details:

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin announced Thursday that the Trump administration has located 146,000 unaccompanied migrant children who were trafficked into the United States during the Biden administration and subsequently lost.

During a news conference at the Department of Justice with Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and other Trump administration officials, Mullin credited a joint effort between DHS, ICE and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for finding the missing children, which he said President Trump has made a high priority.

Unfortunately, nearly 300,000 minors remain unaccounted for, according to Mullin, although officials continue to search for them.

The Department of Justice under President Donald Trump just took a pivotal step toward removing government-endorsed discrimination from America’s legal system and undermining the institutional apparatus of critical race theory.

Critical race theory teaches that America is systemically racist and that even racially neutral policies are truly racist if they result in better outcomes for members of one race than for members of another. That’s the exact same logic as the legal theory known as “disparate impact.”

Cornell Law School defines disparate impact as a policy or rule “that seems neutral but has a negative impact on a specific protected class of persons.”

Karmelo Anthony says he is unable to pay for an attorney for his appeal after being convicted in the murder of high school track star Austin Metcalf.

Anthony is requesting a court-appointed attorney, according to a filing that claimed he was a “penniless, destitute, and indigent person.”

The Anthony family reportedly purchased a new car and moved into a ritzy neighborhood in a gated community after the killer’s bond was lowered.

Sens. Chuck Schumer (N.Y.) and Ed Markey (Mass.) are just the latest high-profile Democrats to throw their support behind scandal-plagued Senate candidate Graham Platner.

The progressive oyster farmer from Maine won the Democratic nomination Tuesday night, a result that was widely expected after Gov. Janet Mills (D) suspended her campaign in April. Despite Mills still appearing on the ballot, Platner managed to secure 72% of the vote share, setting up a general election against five-term incumbent Sen. Susan Collins (R).

Most people with at least half a brain understand that what Karmelo Anthony did is legally defined as murder. This has nothing to do with the color of his skin. It should also not be controversial to throw convicted murderers in prison. But because this man had a certain skin color, many people with low IQs have a problem with this. And one of those low-IQ losers appears to be allegedly on the hunt for people who were on the jury that convicted the murderer.

Since he came down the escalator 11 years ago, Donald Trump’s personal conduct made him uniquely unfit for office and Americans had a moral obligation to oppose him, so said Democrats. Character mattered in politics, they told us.

But on Tuesday, nearly 150,000 Mainers sent a different message. Democrats handed Graham Platner a landslide primary victory, a decisive win for the man who had a Nazi tattoo. And to be clear, Platner wasn’t the only candidate on the ballot. Incumbent Gov. Janet Mills and former Democrat Senate nominee in 2024 David Costello were on the ballot as well. And yet it was a landslide victory for Platner.

Platner spent 18 years bearing a Nazi tattoo and only had it removed when it became ever so slightly (emphasis on slightly) politically inconvenient. He also said women worried about rape should not “get blacked out, f*cked up around people” they aren’t “comfortable” with. He also allegedly said that if someone ever broke into his home, he would “rape them … [but] not in a sexual way, not in a gay way.”

U.S. forces have completed a new round of strikes inside Iran, according to U.S. Central Command.

Harder! Faster!

The nerve center of Iran’s most powerful military force just went dark.

U.S. forces have struck and destroyed an IRGC command and control center, hitting Iranian surveillance, communications, and air defense sites across Iran in response to the regime’s downing of a U.S.

Still short of a full-scale resumption of hostilities. Iran International: Donald Trump said 49 Tomahawk missiles had been fired at Iran as he oversaw ongoing US military strikes from the Situation Room, according to Fox News. Trump said the strikes also involved fighter jet bombardment, with the closest target around 40 miles from Tehran. Trump said the bombing would stop shortly but warned that if Iran does not sign a deal, the United States would escalate further attacks (Iran). Wall Street Journal: U.S. military forces were striking air defenses and radar sites near the Strait of Hormuz, a senior U.S. official said. No infrastructure sites were hit, the official said. Iranian state media reported explosions in areas along the Strait of Hormuz, including Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and Sirik, and said its air defenses were engaging with U.S. jet fighters. The Pentagon cast the attacks as an act of coercive diplomacy designed to force Iranian concessions at the negotiating table (Wall Street Journal). Noah Rothman: This is the strait opening operation that has been overdue since mid-April (Rothman).

CENTCOM Announces Completion of Latest Round of Strikes in Iran

From CENTCOM Wednesday night: U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed additional self-defense strikes against multiple targets in Iran, June 10, at the Commander in Chief’s direction. CENTCOM forces launched strikes on Iranian military surveillance capabilities, communication systems, and air defense sites across Iran. U.S. Marine Corps, Air Force, and Navy assets fired precision munitions on Iranian targets that posed a threat to U.S. forces and international commercial ships transiting regional waters. The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression. U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, and ready (CENTCOM).

In the summer of 2021, Beth Cameron, a biodefense expert on President Joe Biden’s National Security Council, sprinted to review the classified intelligence on the origins of COVID-19 by a 90-day deadline.

The issue was sensitive: The Wuhan Institute of Virology, a lab complex at the pandemic’s epicenter, had conducted research that engineered novel coronaviruses with support from the U.S. government, namely, Anthony Fauci’s longtime institute at the National Institutes of Health. But prominent virologists in Fauci’s orbit had persuaded the corporate press that any suggestion of a connection between the pandemic and the Wuhan lab amounted to a conspiracy theory.

Biden had ordered a 90-day review of the intelligence that spring after a conflicted World Health Organization report failed to turn up credible answers.

Cameron called Fauci into a secure room on the White House campus that June, but not for questioning, declassified documents show. Instead Cameron invited him to the White House for a classified briefing with Maher Bitar, the special assistant to the president for intelligence.

“I would like to invite you to sit with us directly,” she wrote to Fauci in a newly released June 21, 2021 email. “We and Maher stand ready to assist and appreciate greatly your time and leadership.”

While Washington debates spending cuts and California pleads for more federal money, a new report shows hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer-funded welfare flowed into California households headed by illegal immigrant parents in 2025.

A new report from the Administration for Children and Families found that roughly $617.5 million in cash assistance went to California households through so-called “child-only” Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cases during fiscal year 2024. That’s more than 81 percent of all spending nationwide under the program’s immigration-related, child-only category.

For most Americans, welfare comes with strings attached. Recipients are generally expected to work or prepare for work, and benefits are subject to a lifetime limit.
