George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said Monday the Democrats are the ones threatening democracy through their efforts to stop President Donald Trump from shrinking the size of the federal government and eliminating wasteful spending.

Congressional Democrats and liberal activists have continued to rage over Trump and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) head Elon Musk’s efforts to cut the federal government’s billions of dollars in wasteful spending and carry out mass layoffs to make agencies more efficient. As the Gateway pundit has previously reported, the concept of Greater Idaho is an effort by some parts of the state of Oregon to secede and become part of the state of Idaho.

The reason people are pushing for this is because the eastern part of Oregon is conservative and the folks who live there are tired of having to live under progressive rule from people in the western part of the state and the far left city of Portland.

The movement has made slow progress with mostly small moves, but it just took a bigger step towards becoming real.

Oregon effort to shift border, join conservative Idaho gains momentum with GOP bill

Over the past several years, the Greater Idaho movement has tried to create the conditions needed for about 13 counties to join the conservative Gem State next door.

Greater Idaho began putting such measures up for votes in various counties in 2020 and this month saw Republican lawmakers file a bill in the state legislature that would create a task force to study “moving” the border.

State Rep. Mark Owens, R-Malheur, put forward HB 3844, a measure that creates and directs a task force to document the impacts of relocating the Idaho border and requires a report be presented to lawmakers in Salem…

Greater Idaho president Mike McCarter said in a statement: “We are encouraged to see the representatives of Eastern Oregon coming together to advocate for their voters by bringing these bills to the Legislature. The people of Eastern Oregon have made clear they want to explore moving the border and joining Idaho.

Last week, the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) released a study that purportedly shows that recently enacted pro-life laws were causing higher infant mortality rates.

The study analyzed the impact of 14 state-level pro-life laws that either effectively banned abortion or protected preborn children after six weeks’ gestation. It considered state-level infant mortality data from 2012 to 2023. This study has received a great deal of uncritical coverage from many mainstream media outlets including the New York Times, CNN, BBC, The Hill, Time, and USA Today.

Not surprisingly, there is less here than meets the eye. The data indicate that overall infant mortality rates increased in 2022 but declined in 2023. Additionally, 2023 saw infant mortality rate declines in both the group of states with strong pro-life laws and the group of states with permissive abortion policies. There is no consistent upward trajectory in infant mortality. Furthermore, infant mortality rate trends appear fairly similar in both groups of states.

Even if voting for Kamala was the morally superior thing to do, which it was not, a church should never be advocating for violence against anyone who disagreed with them. However, one Texas “church” took this opportunity to mock Christianity and hold a “Drag King’s” Sermon.

What was even the point besides virtue signaling how much they despise half the country? How can these people claim to be inclusive of everyone while mocking the people they are supposed to lead?

According to the “Cathedral of Hope’s” Facebook page, this sermon was intended to share a message of “love, welcome, and inclusion.” However, it’s unclear how one does that while calling to Kill Trump Voters and mocking Texas Governor Greg Abbott because he is in a wheelchair.

The church also claimed the event was so that they church can “bless and affirm those who use drag as an art form and affirm their transgender siblings made in the image of God.” And the most insane thing about that claim is that to accept transgenderism as truth, you would have to accept the notion that God makes mistakes, which he does not.

Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes suffered a major setback in her highly controversial, ongoing criminal case against major Trump allies and alternate electors from the 2020 election, as the defendants recently cleared a major hurdle in their quest to dismiss the case by citing an Arizona law aimed at preventing politically-motivated prosecutions.

In April of last year, Mayes’ office announced that grand jury had indicted former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, Rudy Giuliani, and five other former aides to former President Donald Trump on felony charges related to the Trump campaign’s objection to the 2020 election results.
