Egyptian authorities took dozens of anti-Israel activists into custody this past Thursday after thwarting a planned march to Gaza before deporting them, according to multiple reports.

As many as 200 activists were detained in Cairo by Egyptian immigration authorities, who reportedly confiscated passports of the Europeans who sought to carry out a “Global March to Gaza.” Other activists who were allowed to remain in the country attempted to march to Gaza and clashed with local Egyptians, who threw water bottles and used clubs while the anti-Israel activists held a sit-in at a checkpoint, according to the Jerusalem Post.

Some pro-Israel activists gloated about the incident on social media. (RELATED: WaPo Apologizes For Publishing Hamas Propaganda At Face Value)

“A group of European activists pulled a ‘Greta Thunberg goes to Cairo’ move, demanding that Egyptians break the Gaza siege,” Sarah Idan posted on X. “The Egyptian crowd responded… by breaking them instead.”

O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) has reported that protesters were recruited and paid by a “communist” group to participate in the “No Kings” demonstrations in Los Angeles.

According to OMG, footage they obtained revealed an OMG undercover journalist speaking to a woman named “Angie” who works for Blitz Canvassing, a signature gathering organization for petitions as well as elections.

The OMG reporter told the canvasser, “Some guy came up to be yesterday and was like, ‘Hey, sign up here for a protest on Saturday.” The canvasser said that the person wanting the undercover reporter to go to the protest was from a “communist” group.

The OMG journalist said, “He got paid, and I’m like, ‘I’m trying to do that.’”

“Yeah, they do that. They go around, they pay something like 20 bucks a person,” the woman replied.

When he followed up, asking what the name of the group was since he had forgotten the name, Angie replied, “RDA, some communist group.”

In addition to talking about the communist group reportedly paying to get attendees at the protest, Angie told the undercover journalist about how much they get paid for collecting signatures on different petitions for various political issues.

Head of OMG, James O’Keefe, attended the area of the protest, where he also pointed out graffiti that said things such as “F*ck ICE” as well as “Death to America.”

An 8-month-old baby was among three people killed Sunday night when gunfire broke out during a Utah carnival.

Police said an 18-year-old who was believed to be connected to an altercation that preceded the shooting was killed, as was a 41-year-old woman, the West Valley City Police Department said, according to KSL-TV.

Five people were hit by the gunfire, police said. Some victims were shot more than once.

Police representative Roxeanne Vainuku said officers patrolling the carnival where the shooting took place saw two groups arguing and approached the groups to defuse the situation.

One individual produced a firearm and shot into the other group, Vainuku said.

Democrat Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) is pointing fingers at President Donald Trump in the wake of a tragic shooting that left two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses dead or wounded.

Padilla is suggesting that Trump’s rhetoric is to blame for the rising tide of political violence.

Appearing on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday, Padilla deflected when asked about new security measures being considered for lawmakers following the weekend attack.

“I think it’s more than appropriate to step back and say, why are tensions so high? Not just in Los Angeles but throughout the country,” Padilla told host Margaret Brennan.

“And I can’t help but point to the beginning of not just the first Trump term, but the beginning of the campaign, the tone with which the president had launched his first campaign for president, served throughout his first term, and continues in this term.”

The remarks come as Monday marks 10 years since Trump announced his first campaign for the presidency in 2015.

More than four dozen Marines refused to abandon their post as hundreds of protesters in front of the federal building in downtown Los Angles chanted in unison for them to go home.

The soldiers bad been dispatched early in the week by President Donald Trump along with the National Guard to help quell violent riots that broke out last week over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens in the city.

According to reporting by Reuters, Los Angeles attorney Jesus Arias spearheaded Sunday’s confrontation, wielding a bullhorn as he tried to convince the Marines to leave.

“We are not your enemy, we are the people!” Arias shouted through the bullhorn. “You are breaking the oaths you took to be Marines. Wake up! Wake up!”

The large crowd protesters nearby were not so polite. Fifteen feet away from the Marines a crowd chanted, “Marines go home!” and “Shame! Shame!”

The feds hit Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter with new charges after he was captured late Sunday evening.

Boelter, 57, shot and killed Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband early Saturday morning.

Boelter also shot and wounded Democrat State Senator John Hoffman and his wife.

“John is enduring many surgeries right now and is closer every hour to being out of the woods. He took 9 bullet hits. I took 8 and we are both incredibly lucky to be alive,” John Hoffman’s wife Yvette Hoffman said on Sunday. “We are gutted and devastated by the loss of Melissa and Mark. We have no words. There is never a place for this kind of political hate. Thank you for your friendship always. Minnesotans are at our very best when we stand together.”

Randi Weingarten, longtime president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), resigned from her post within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Sunday.

In a letter to DNC Chair Ken Martin obtained by Axios, Weingarten declined his offer to continue serving as an at-large member — a position she had held since 2002 — citing ideological divergence with the current direction of the party. “I appear to be out of step with the leadership you are forging,” Weingarten wrote. “I do not want to be the one who keeps questioning why we are not enlarging our tent and actively trying to engage more and more of our communities.”

Her decision follows her public support for Ben Wikler, who unsuccessfully challenged Martin in a contentious DNC leadership election earlier this year. Following that endorsement, Weingarten was removed from the party’s influential Rules and Bylaws Committee.

Weingarten’s departure also comes just days after DNC Vice Chair David Hogg stepped down, criticizing the party’s resistance to generational change. Weingarten had supported Hogg’s plan to launch a political organization aimed at primarying incumbent Democratic lawmakers.

President Trump said Sunday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) must expand efforts in America’s largest cities to detain and deport illegal aliens, focusing on sanctuary cities.

“Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens,” he added.

Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People. ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.

In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens. These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities — And they are doing a good job of it! There is something wrong with them. That is why they believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports — And that is why I want ICE, Border Patrol, and our Great and Patriotic Law Enforcement Officers, to FOCUS on our crime ridden and deadly Inner Cities, and those places where Sanctuary Cities play such a big role. You don’t hear about Sanctuary Cities in our Heartland!

I want our Brave ICE Officers to know that REAL Americans are cheering you on every day. The American People want our Cities, Schools, and Communities to be SAFE and FREE from Illegal Alien Crime, Conflict, and Chaos. That’s why I have directed my entire Administration to put every resource possible behind this effort, and reverse the tide of Mass Destruction Migration that has turned once Idyllic Towns into scenes of Third World Dystopia. Our Federal Government will continue to be focused on the REMIGRATION of Aliens to the places from where they came, and preventing the admission of ANYONE who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.

To ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, the Patriots at Pentagon and the State Department, you have my unwavering support. Now go, GET THE JOB DONE! DJT

As White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted, over 300 illegal aliens have been arrested in LA since the violent anti-ICE riots began on June 6. Over 100 of these illegal alien criminals had a rap sheet.

While Trump and his administration continue to receive backlash for bringing in troops to handle the rioters and illegal aliens, it appears Democrats have forgotten that another leader called in the National Guard to deal with illegal aliens in recent years. When this occurred, there was no outrage.

A report from the New York Post published in September of 2022 claims that then-Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) activated the National Guard to deal with the “humanitarian crisis” that occurred when 50 illegal aliens were flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

The residents of Martha’s Vineyard flew off the handle about this. In a short amount of time, the illegal aliens were sent to Cape Cod.

…Such a moment happened with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) when she uttered the now-immortal words: “Don’t believe what you see.” She meant it. And it tells you everything you need to know about the mind of the modern social justice politician.

Let’s set the scene. Fires rage across Los Angeles. A man stands triumphantly on a car, waving a Mexican flag, while other cars burn around him. The air is thick with smoke and shattered glass. You don’t need a Ph.D. in criminal justice to conclude that this isn’t a peaceful gathering of concerned citizens asking to debate policy.

And yet, speaking in the midst of smoldering chaos, Waters and her fellow Democrat officials — Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass — chant the same refrain: There’s nothing to see here.

Waters, attempting to rewrite reality in real time, gave us this gem:

Even those who were out of step with what we are advocating — peaceful protest — did not create any violence. Nobody was shot. Nobody was killed. … I was on the street, I know … talking to people about what happened. … Don’t just rely on what you’ve been told or the few incidents that you saw.

A 57-year-old man is in custody and charged with both murder and attempted murder after he allegedly shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses, prompting a statewide manhunt over the weekend.

Tim Walz. The consensus so far, however, is that his motives for allegedly assassinating at least one Democrat legislator and her husband, as well as targeting another Democrat and his wife were no doubt radical and most likely political.

Corporate media and Democrats alike were quick to amplify the narrative that Boelter voted for Trump. In a sick twist, some of them even appeared to relish that the suspect, according to his alleged pizza delivery roommate, would “be offended if people called him a Democrat.”

A federal lawsuit challenging a Vermont law regulating pro-life pregnancy centers has been dismissed after state officials amended the statute to address concerns raised by the plaintiffs.

The National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), along with Aspire Now in Williston and Branches Pregnancy Resource Center in Brattleboro, filed the suit in July 2023. The plaintiffs argued that Vermont’s Senate Bill 37 (SB 37), which had taken effect in May 2023, unconstitutionally targeted “limited-services pregnancy centers” by restricting their speech and dictating how they could operate.

Specifically, the law prohibited what it called “deceptive acts or practices” by centers that do not offer abortions or emergency contraception, including advertising that could be considered false or misleading. It also limited the scope of services non-licensed individuals could provide, effectively barring some staff at pregnancy resource centers from offering non-medical counseling, advice, or information on abortion reversal treatments.

The law essentially claimed that pregnancy centers that neither perform nor refer for abortions were unqualified to say they assist pregnant women. It subjected these pro-life centers to potential fines of up to $10,000 if their advertisements were deemed misleading by Vermont’s pro-abortion attorney general. The restrictions applied solely to pro-life organizations, while abortion providers offering similar information were not held to the same standard.

Republican governors are flexing their muscles ahead of anti-Trump “No Kings” protests set for this weekend, telling protesters to “think twice” before considering echoing recent strains of violence found in Los Angeles.

The governors of South Carolina, Texas, and Utah have issued warnings against violence ahead of the protests on Saturday. In the wake of California riots and attacks on authorities that broke out in reaction to Trump’s immigration agenda, the Republican leaders said similar acts of violence in their states will be met with a swift response from law enforcement.

Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) said on Tuesday that he would put South Carolina on an elevated sense of alert “if it’s necessary.” His comments came hours after South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson issued a statement saying his office is aware of potential “coordinated protests and acts of civil disobedience” planned for Saturday, adding that protestors who attack law enforcement, destroy property, or endanger lives will be prosecuted “to the fullest extent of the law.”

“If people want to protest and want to voice their opinion, that’s fine. But when you start destroying property, scaring people, hurting people that’s when law enforcement swings into action,” McMaster said. “I would urge people who want to cause trouble in our state to think twice because this is not the place to cause trouble. You will be held accountable.”

Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) revealed that the Texas National Guard would be deployed across the Lone Star state to quell possible violence, while Gov. Spencer Cox (R-UT) also had a message to send protestors: “Just a word of warning to anybody who is thinking about any type of violence or chaos or property damage or vandalism,” he said during a news conference.

“It will not happen here, and you will be held accountable,” Cox said. “We are going to be overprepared.”

Having won in the House with its demand that the so-called “big, beautiful bill” eliminate the tax on firearms suppressors, Second Amendment advocates are now pushing the Senate to eliminate the tax and registration requirement on short-barreled rifles.

The industry is moving swiftly to build support for its call to include the Short Act in the tax and spending bill. That would essentially pull short-barreled rifles such as AR-style pistols and some shotguns out of the National Firearms Act, which requires that the arms be registered with Uncle Sam and a $200 tax paid.

On Monday, the House Freedom Caucus joined in asking the Senate to expand the House version of the “big, beautiful bill” to include the commonly owned and used firearms.

This April, the acting director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review issued a memo clarifying the requirement of immigration judges to effectively manage their crushing caseloads by dismissing legally insufficient applications for protection from removal or for asylum.

This is the most significant action taken by any administration to give immigration judges the tools that all other judges have in their tool kit to dismiss meritless cases on their existing dockets and swat away specious claims in the future.

Take the fact that there are over four million pending cases on immigration review docket, and the fact that, in 2022, about 68% of removal and deportation cases resulted in removal orders, and only about 14% of asylum claims were granted. Based on my conversations with immigration chief judges, if immigration judges do their duty, they could trim the existing dockets by up to 70% and could dismiss over 2.8 million cases.

For over six years, we have been urging the Department of Justice and administrations across both parties to give immigration judges the same tools that all state and federal judges have to manage their dockets. The three tools are summary judgment authority, the ability to dismiss a clearly non-meritorious case based on the pleadings (the written paperwork filed with the court), and contempt authority. See here, here, here and here.

The Trump administration is rolling back Biden-era regulations that would have tightened emissions restrictions on coal and gas power plants and forced hundreds of existing coal plants to shutter in the coming years.

In an announcement Wednesday afternoon, EPA administrator Lee Zeldin said his agency will repeal both greenhouse gas emissions standards targeting the power sector and so-called Mercury and Air Toxics Standards that apply to coal-fired power plants. According to the EPA, the regulations raise the cost of living for Americans, threaten grid reliability, and limit “American energy prosperity.”

The agency projected its actions will save the American power sector more than $1.2 billion a year in regulatory compliance costs over the next two decades. It also said the actions will ensure that existing gas and coal power plants—dozens of which are scheduled to be retired this year alone—will remain in operation.

The EPA’s actions are the latest—and perhaps most significant—rejection of the Biden-era climate agenda. The previous administration sought to crack down on the fossil fuel power sector to achieve its goal of having a completely carbon-free U.S. power grid by 2035.

The actions also represent a fulfillment of one of President Donald Trump’s central energy-related campaign promises. The president accused the Biden administration last year of pursuing “a regulatory jihad to shut down power plants all across America.”

For years, I’ve heard the same complaint from friends, family, and the nightly news: Donald Trump is his own worst enemy. The real problem, they say, is the man’s personality. If only he weren’t so obnoxious, if only he didn’t speak off the cuff or insult his critics, then maybe his enemies would stop calling him a Nazi. Maybe the protests would stop. Maybe the country could calm down.

It’s true that Trump’s tactlessness and unreflective speech can grate, even on those who support him. But let’s not pretend his critics hold anyone else to the same standard. Where was their outrage when Joe Biden declared that Trump supporters were “the only garbage I see,” smeared the GOP as “semi-fascists” and “terrorists,” or cursed at reporters who dared ask unscripted questions?

The rage over Trump’s language comes from anxiety. The ruling class members fear that his return to power could disrupt their ideological monopoly.

The same people clutching pearls over Trump’s tone cheered on mouthy scolds like Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama. They ignored threats by former Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), who warned Supreme Court justices against overturning Roe v. Wade outside their own courthouse. When it comes to rhetoric, Democrats don’t offend them — only Republicans do.

And the hypocrisy doesn’t stop there. Anti-white racism is commonplace among Democrats. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) mocked Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) as a purveyor of “white tears” for disagreeing with her. Crockett also derided “mediocre white boys” who oppose race-based preferences and once referred to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott as “Governor Hot Wheels” without consequence. No apology. No media outcry. Just applause.

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas praised the October 7 Hamas attack as achieving “important goals.”
In an interview published last Sunday by the Palestinian Authority’s official daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, and exposed by Palestinian Media Watch, Abbas described the attack in terms that focused on its “strategic impact” against Israel, ignoring the casualties and the hostages.
“On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a sudden attack… killed 1,200 Israelis, abducted 250 others, and took them as hostages. This attack shook the foundations of the Israeli entity,” Abbas stated in the interview, which originally took place a few months ago, but is now being published as part of a series of articles, providing a glimpse into a new book that will be published about Abbas’s life and work.

The Blue Dog Coalition, a caucus of centrist House Democrats who have repeatedly blocked their party’s major legislation, will form a new super PAC to accept donations of unlimited size, as well as a new nonprofit group that will not be required to disclose its funders. The coalition’s plans were first reported by the New York Times in an article last week about their appearance at a centrist event, dubbed WelcomeFest.

The Times said that the Blue Dogs have never previously had an independent entity that could take unlimited donations, but the Blue Dogs have long been linked to a group called Center Forward that has a “dark money” advocacy group and a super PAC that has spent millions of dollars to help elect its members. Center Forward was founded in 2010 as the think tank Blue Dog Research Forum, run by a Blue Dog Coalition co-founder, former Rep. Bud Cramer of Alabama, who still chairs Center Forward’s board. The centrist group changed its name in 2012. The Blue Dog PAC has donated at least half a million dollars to Center Forward’s super PAC over the years, according to Federal Election Commission records.

The economically-conservative Blue Dogs, whose numbers have dwindled to 10 members out of 213 House Democrats, have been feeling feisty of late. At WelcomeFest, held in D.C. on June 4 and co-sponsored by the Blue Dog PAC, three Blue Dogs appeared, including co-chair Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez of Washington, with Reps. Jared Golden of Maine, who was one of its prior co-chairs, and Adam Gray of California. WelcomeFest speakers argued that centrists should have even more control over the Democratic Party’s messaging and budgets, and made the case to sideline progressive groups like Indivisible.

The State Department has authorized a partial evacuation of the U.S. embassy in Baghdad, Iraq while allowing military dependents to leave various locations around the Middle East, U.S. and Iraqi sources told Reuters on Wednesday.

The officials told Reuters the move was made due to “heightened security risks,” but did not specify which threats prompted the decision. Tensions between Iran and Israel have put the region on high alert as Israel has said its forces would strike Iran if ongoing nuclear talks do not bear fruit.

“The State Department regularly reviews American personnel abroad and this decision was made as a result of a recent review,” White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly told Reuters.

Iranian Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh also said Wednesday that Iran could retaliate against U.S. bases in the Middle East if nuclear talks fail and the U.S. gets involved in a conflict with Tehran.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has authorized the voluntary departures of military dependents from U.S. bases in the Middle East, with the base in Bahrain housing the majority of the affected persons, according to The Associated Press. The U.S. has a military presence in Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to Iraq.

“President Trump is committed to keeping Americans safe, both at home and abroad,” a State Department spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “In keeping with that commitment, we are constantly assessing the appropriate personnel posture at all our embassies. Based on our latest analysis, we decided to reduce the footprint of our Mission in Iraq.”

Here we go again: “Heightened security risks” in the Middle East have Iraq embassy staff and dependents preparing to evacuate the country, according to State Department officials. A Pentagon official said that SecDef Pete Hegseth also “authorized the voluntary departure of military dependents from locations across the Middle East.”

Reuters’s sources “did not specify which security risks had prompted the decision and reports of the potential evacuation pushed up oil prices by more than 4%.”

“The State Department regularly reviews American personnel abroad and this decision was made as a result of a recent review,” is all that White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly had to say about it today. But sources told the UK Independent that the State Department also authorized “the departure of nonessential personnel and family members from Bahrain and Kuwait.”

“Authorized” in this case means that State or Defense will provide and pay for transportation, if requested. It isn’t like an embassy spouse isn’t allowed to travel without permission.

The House Committee on Oversight and Reform is about to focus its investigative powers on Neville Roy Singham, the pro-China Marxist multimillionaire behind many of the destructive far-left demonstrations plaguing the United States in recent years.

The Committee is reportedly issuing a formal document request to Singham over his alleged financial support of the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL)—an extremist Marxist group that has been helping to organize violent anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles and elsewhere.

As the main funder of The People’s Forum, Singham, 71, has also bankrolled the “Free Palestine” protests that erupted after 1,400 innocent Israelis were slaughtered by Hamas on October 7, 2023. The People’s Forum works closely with other organizations in Singham’s network, including PSL and the ANSWER Coalition, all of which have been involved in the anti-Israel protests and anti-ICE riots.

PSL describes itself as a revolutionary socialist party that believes “only a revolution can end capitalism and establish socialism.”

The group supports the Communist Party of China (CCP) and argues that “militant political defense of the Chinese government” is necessary to stave off “counterrevolution, imperialist intervention and dismemberment.”

As part of their national anti-Israel mobilization efforts, ANSWER and PSL have promoted slogans such as “Intifada revolution” and “resistance is justified.”

Last night marked the 5th day of riots in Los Angeles, allegedly against recent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers arresting and deporting illegal immigrants in the area. But so far, the media have only criticized President Trump and ICE. They have come up with their own theories, their own grievances, and as usual, pushed their narrative against the President and one of his most popular policies. Do you know who might have a better idea of why there are protests and riots? Maybe the protesters and rioters!

Greg Gutfeld pointed to this exact issue yesterday, arguing that the media knows they will make ‘better’ arguments than the protesters, and they would like to keep it that way. He said, “They know the protesters are the worst spokesmen for the protest.”

An extensive street interview by an independent journalist and YouTuber, Nick Shirley, exposed what many of the protesters think, and their reasoning is worse than what Democrat officials and legacy media are saying. Many of the protesters are fighting because California is on “stolen land,” and therefore, ICE can’t deport those here illegally, because we are all here illegally. Huh? Some others don’t even know why they are participating, and just came out to show support. Many others, as seen in footage spreading across the internet, are participating in case an opportunity to get away with looting arises.

The Justice Department told a federal court on Wednesday that it should not grant a request from Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) to block President Donald Trump‘s use of troops to quell violence in Los Angeles, saying the claims of Newsom’s lawsuit are “baseless.”

California officials had filed a lawsuit in federal court on Monday against Trump’s use of the National Guard and Marines in Los Angeles to protect federal property amid protests, some of which turned violent, over immigration raids. Newsom and California Attorney General Rob Bonta asked District Judge Charles Breyer to issue a temporary restraining order quickly on Tuesday, but Breyer instead set a hearing for Thursday to consider the motion.

In a filing to the court Wednesday, the DOJ argued California officials were attempting to stop the president “from exercising his lawful statutory and constitutional power to ensure that federal personnel and facilities are protected.”

“There is no rioters’ veto to enforcement of federal law,” the DOJ said in its filing. “And the President has every right under the Constitution and by statute to call forth the National Guard and Marines to quell lawless violence directed against enforcement of federal law. Yet instead of working to bring order to Los Angeles, California and its Governor filed a lawsuit in San Francisco seeking a court order limiting the federal government’s ability to protect its property and officials.”

“The extraordinary relief Plaintiffs request would judicially countermand the Commander in Chief’s military directives – and would do so in the posture of a temporary restraining order, no less. That would be unprecedented. It would be constitutionally anathema. And it would be dangerous,” the DOJ added.

President Trump spoke to reporters at Joint Base Andrews on Tuesday upon returning to Washington after his speech at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he addressed the ongoing insurrection in Los Angeles and his ongoing fight with local officials.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the President has deployed the National Guard and 700 Marines to stop the insurrectionists and foreign invaders wreaking havoc on California.

California’s Democrat Governor Newsom and failed Democrat LA Mayor Karen Bass have blamed the feds for the violence and filed a lawsuit against the President’s use of federal troops.

After disembarking Air Force One, President Trump told reporters that if he didn’t send federal troops in, “Los Angeles would be burning down right now, just like the houses burned down,” in reference to the wildfires earlier this year.

When asked if he thinks anything can go wrong by involving the military, the President responded, “it can only go right. By having the military, it de-escalates.” He continued, “These people are agitators, they’re troublemakers, I believe many of them are paid. I watched them breaking up the sidewalks with a big hammer, handing pieces of the concrete to other people.”

On Monday, an Obama-appointed district court judge attempted to block parts of President Trump’s executive orders ending subsidization of programs promoting DEI and radical gender ideology. On June 5, a different Obama-appointed judge handed down an injunction aiming to halt the Trump administration’s prohibition on international students attending Harvard. A week before that, yet another Obama-appointed judge sought to prevent the president from ending a Biden-era “parole” program for foreign nationals living in the United States.

While these “judges” certainly deserve criticism for rubber-stamping leftists’ lawfare, there’s one individual who deserves primary blame for this concentrated effort to cripple Trump’s presidency via a judicial coup: Chief Justice John Roberts.

Over the past five months, rogue lower courts have issued nearly 200 overreaching injunctions and temporary restraining orders attempting to prevent Trump from fulfilling his Article II obligation to execute the nation’s laws. And yet, despite this egregious usurpation of constitutional authority, the Supreme Court’s leading justice has done nothing substantive to stop it.
