Myanmar Quake Death Toll Could Reach 10,000, CBN Mobilizes Relief Effort– www.cbn.com Source Link Excerpt:
Rescue crews in Myanmar used jackhammers and shovels to find any survivors amid the devastation from Friday’s powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake.
Many citizens resorted to digging through the debris by hand, trying to locate anyone still trapped.
At one site, an official said they had detected possible signs of life under the rubble.
Rescue efforts have been hampered by buckled roads, downed bridges, and strong aftershocks, including a 5.1 magnitude aftershock Sunday afternoon.
The UN is warning of a shortage of medical supplies, especially since the quake hit in the middle of Myanmar’s ongoing civil war. There are long lines of victims in need.
The staff of CBN Myanmar is mobilizing to help victims, and a global relief team is deploying with clean water filters and solar lamps.

The Trump administration has issued a “final warning” to Maine officials over their failure to bar male-born athletes from competing in girls’ sports, saying the matter will be referred to the Justice Department unless the state takes action.
Oregon assisted suicide prescriptions jump another 8% last year after huge spike in 2023– www.lifesitenews.com Source Link Excerpt:
(Oregon Right to Life) — Oregon saw an 8% increase in physician-assisted suicide prescriptions in 2024, building upon a 30% spike in 2023, according to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)’s 27th annual report on the state’s “Death With Dignity Act” (DWDA). Assisted suicide deaths accounted for nearly 1% of all Oregon deaths in 2024.
On Thursday, the Oregon Health Authority released its annual report on the state’s “Death With Dignity” data. The document showed an 8.2% increase in physician-assisted suicide prescriptions and a slight decrease (2.5%) in reported deaths – though ingestion status for 29% of patients was reportedly unknown as of the time of the report.
Physicians in Oregon wrote 607 DWDA prescriptions in 2024, compared with 561 in 2023. 376 individuals are known to have died after consuming the drugs last year, compared with 386 in 2023. 43 of those who died in 2024 had been prescribed the lethal drugs in a previous year.
Myanmar-Thailand earthquake live updates: Myanmar faces worst devastation in Asia in 100 years – ABC News Source Link Excerpt:
A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake rattled much of Southeast Asia on Friday, resulting in mounting casualties and flattened skyscrapers from Myanmar to Thailand.
The epicenter was in Mandalay, Myanmar, the country’s second-largest city. Even Bangkok, some 600 miles away, felt widespread shaking and saw significant damage from the quake — including the total collapse of a skyscraper under construction.
FBI’s Tesla task force is justified– www.washingtonexaminer.com Source Link Excerpt:
Last week, the FBI created a task force to investigate a wave of violent attacks targeting Tesla, Department of Government Efficiency chief Elon Musk’s electric vehicle company. This comes in response to at least 80 such cases reported in the United States and Canada in 2025, including torching and shooting Tesla vehicles, vandalism, and planting incendiary devices in Tesla dealerships. The attacks have increased in severity and frequency in recent weeks, which has prompted both Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel to label them as acts of domestic terrorism.
“The FBI has been investigating the increase in violent activity toward Tesla,” Patel wrote on X, “and over the last few days, we have taken the additional steps to crack down and coordinate our response. This is domestic terrorism. Those responsible will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice,”
The multi-agency effort, which will involve the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives working with state and local law enforcement, is a welcome development. The copycat nature of the attacks — most often, they occur at night by lone attackers — in addition to the high-profile targets and politically charged environment, has raised fears of a deadly escalation. It is crucial that authorities be proactive to prevent such an incident and that examples are made of attackers to deter future copycats.
Monday’s revelation that “incendiary devices” had been found inside the showroom at a Tesla dealership in Austin, Texas, no doubt raised the stakes. Thankfully, they were removed by a bomb squad safely. But the incident underscored the crisis. The Tesla attacks cannot be brushed aside as petty acts of vandalism by young and overeager political activists. They are intended to inspire terror and effect political change. As such, they meet the textbook definition of domestic terrorism.

Since its legalisation in 2016, there have been 60,301 cases of assisted suicide and euthanasia cases in Canada that we know of.
British MP Changes Her Mind, Will Vote Against Assisted Suicide Bill– www.lifenews.com Source Link Excerpt:
Naz Shah, a Labour MP who originally supported assisted suicide is opposing the Kim Leadbeater assisted suicide bill. The UK assisted suicide bill passed at second reading by a vote of 330 to 275. The bill was debated in committee where there were 393 proposed amendments with only 32 of the amendments accepted.
Shah is one of many MP’s who support assisted suicide in principle but are opposing the bill. Opposition to the bill may be the reason why Leadbeater, the sponsor of the bill, recently stated that, if passed, implementation of the assisted suicide bill would be delayed until 2029.
David Maddox, the Political Editor for The Independent, wrote an article that was published on March 30. Maddox explains why Shah is opposing the assisted suicide bill:
A Labour MP who had originally been inclined to vote in favour of Kim Leadbeater’s assisted dying legislation has claimed that the bill now has weaker safeguards than when MPs voted on it in November.
The Bradford West MP, who served on the committee scrutinising the bill, had hoped that safeguards could be strengthened to make it workable but now claims the legislation is “fundamentally flawed”.
Maddox further reports on why Shah opposes the assisted suicide bill
…Ms Shah has said she is “very disappointed” and “disheartened” with the direction taken after hopes they could ensure the safeguards were robust.
She revealed: “Kim [Leadbeater] is a friend and when she first told me about the bill I was inclined to vote for it. But the more I looked at the details, the more concerns I had.”
Top among these were concerns over the way people who suffer from domestic abuse and have disabilities could potentially be coerced into ending their lives early. As someone who had suffered previously from domestic abuse in a forced marriage, these issues were important to her.
Ms Shah also made headlines during the process when she was forced to leave a session because her hearing aid batteries had run flat. An attempt to push through amendments had seen the session extended despite pleas from Ms Shah that she could not take part.
Manslaughter charge for wig-making influencer who fatally struck Brooklyn mom, 2 kids, with Audi– www.nydailynews.com Source Link Excerpt:
The unlicensed driver police say fatally struck a mother and her two children in Brooklyn has been charged with manslaughter — just months after the wig-making social media influencer won a $2 million lawsuit against the NYPD, law enforcement sources say.
Audi driver Miriam Yarimi, 32, had a suspended license when she got behind the wheel Saturday afternoon, police said. She was headed north on Ocean Parkway in Midwood when she collided with a 2023 Toyota Camry with TLC plates making a right turn off Quinten Rd., police said
Yarimi then careened into the crosswalk, hitting a 35-year-old mother and her three young children, police said. The mom and her two daughters, ages 5 and 8, died on the scene, while the third child, a 4-year-old boy, was hospitalized in critical condition.
Three people — an adult and two children — were killed Saturday after an Audi driver collided with a silver Toyota Camry Uber and careened toward a small group walking on Ocean Parkway near Quentin Road in Brooklyn. (Theodore Parisienne / New York Daily News)
Yarimi’s Audi, which sports the vanity plate “WIGM8KER,” overturned in the crash, landing upside down. First responders had to extricate Yarimi from the luxury sedan before taking her to to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.
Anti-Musk/Tesla Protesters Caught Using Note Cards, ‘Cheat Sheets’– trendingpoliticsnews.com Source Link Excerpt:
As far-left activists mobilized across the nation for “Tesla Takedown” protests targeting company owner Elon Musk over his involvement with the Trump Administration, citizen journalists and internet sleuths raised questions about the highly coordinated nature of the “grassroots” protests.
Left-wing activists, pundits and elected Democrats urged supporters to participate in nationwide “Tesla Takedown” protests outside company dealerships over the weekend. While small groups of left-wing protesters have been protesting outside Tesla dealerships for weeks — in addition to increasing acts of violence against Tesla dealers and owners — this weekend’s protests were billed as the biggest yet.
Turnout was rather lackluster outside deep blue enclaves, however. In San Antonio, Texas — the second biggest city in the Lonestar State and one of the most populous in the nation with 1.5 million residents — less than a dozen protesters showed up to each of two planned demonstrations in the city.
Breitbart News reported that the small rabble held up anti-Musk and anti-Trump signs, most of which contained Swastikas and other Nazi imagery. Despite the pitiful turnout, organizers and city subreddit users described it as “great” and “overwhelming.”
Tesla protestor banner: ‘Burn a Tesla, save democracy’– www.americanthinker.com Source Link Excerpt:
A recent “take down Tesla” protest shut down a road adjoining a Tesla showroom in Manhattan.
Profuse swearing, including many variations of the eff word, could be heard during the demonstration, along with chants of “Elon Musk has got to go.” A banner being held up by multiple protesters read, “Burn a Tesla, Save Democracy.”
(Say what?! These agitators, paid or not, are not rocket scientists. By contrast, Musk — and quite a few of his associates — actually are.)
Talk about a non-sequitur! What does burning a Tesla have to do with saving a democracy?! If anything, it will create fear, chaos, anger, and police action, all anathema to democracy.
What’s the next slogan for these pathetic poetic picketers?
“Rape a girl, fight climate change?” “Slug a Jew, foster tolerance?” “Kill an insurance CEO, preserve morality?” “Torch your town, help local government?” “Ride a cowboy, save the whales?” “Rob a convenience store, save the rainforest?”
Memo to the Tesla torchers: If you don’t believe others have the right to drive the kind of car they want and to make their own decisions and exercise free will, and you feel morally superior in this belief, you are the problem. If you virtue signal by mocking, threatening, and hurting others with whom you disagree, you are the fascist.
FCC Finally Goes After Corporate Media, And Dems Are Outraged– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr joked recently that “[m]ore Americans trust gas station sushi than the legacy national media.” That statement, sad but true (or perhaps not so sad), is indicative of the new Trump chair’s approach to his job: to call out the powerhouse institutions that have long gotten a free pass on their relentless bias, illegal DEI practices, and general disservice to the American people. The chairman has had enough, and the left is losing its collective mind as a result.
The current iteration of that fight is prompted by a complaint filed by my organization, the Center for American Rights, against CBS for its misleading editing of then-Vice President Kamala Harris’ interview with 60 Minutes. The chairman has taken those charges seriously (as he should) and held a public comment period that ended this week. Numerous everyday Americans spoke up, critical of CBS’s electioneering, while left-wing senators and media groups are outraged at the supposed assault on the First Amendment.
Typical is Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., who has opened an “Inquiry into FCC’s Political Targeting of Newsrooms” from his post as ranking member of the Senate’s Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. In his release announcing the probe, Blumenthal lambasts the FCC for its “unprecedented, intrusive investigations against media broadcasters under arbitrary and capricious pretenses.” The senator is concerned that these “vexatious investigation[s]” by the FCC “may be designed to intimidate newsrooms,” so he’s apparently decided to launch his own investigation to intimidate the chairman into dropping the commission’s investigations.
MSNBC, NBC Double Down on DEI and Quotas as Trump Administration Pledges To Stamp Out ‘Discriminatory’ Behavior in the Media Business– freebeacon.com Source Link Excerpt:
When FCC chairman Brendan Carr announced last week that the Trump administration will block the business deals of media conglomerates that engage in discriminatory DEI practices, some employees at the liberal network MSNBC took notice.
“MSNBC could be in the administration’s crosshairs as well. The network is in the process of being spun off from its parent company,” MSNBC columnist Ja’Han Jones wrote after Carr’s statement that he would block media mergers and acquisitions involving firms that promote what he calls “discriminatory” DEI practices.
Jones was referring to SpinCo, the temporary name that Comcast has given the holding company for its planned spinoff of MSNBC, CNBC, and all but one of its other cable channels, which it’s jettisoning due to the terminally ill—yet still enormously profitable—cable TV business dragging down its share price.
The concern at Comcast and its subsidiary NBCUniversal is perhaps due to the media giant’s unusually aggressive promotion in recent years of DEI and social justice initiatives, as well as racial and gender quotas, which executives have said they hope will “change the face” of the media industry and induce “demographic change,” specifically at NBCUniversal.
Planned Parenthood Admits the Abortion Pill is Dangerous– www.lifenews.com Source Link Excerpt:
Planned Parenthood has admitted that the abortion pill can be dangerous. This was pointed out by American Life League in what its national director Katie Brown Xavios labeled a “rare moment of honest transparency.”
“Planned Parenthood has confirmed the dangers that American Life League has been warning about for decades. No, abortion pills are NOT safe, especially when they come from an unregulated source,” stated Xavios. “The irony in all this falls on the fact that Planned Parenthood themselves refer women directly to these online vendors that send pills recklessly and without any authorization or regulation. But let’s not forget, even the ‘safest’ pills still result in a dead baby. The business of abortion pills is never safe, for mom or for baby, and Planned Parenthood is to blame.”
JFK Files: Section on Would-Be Whistleblower Who Was Found Dead Goes Viral– www.westernjournal.com Source Link Excerpt:
The release of Kennedy assassination files Tuesday stirred up a hornet’s nest of social media speculation about a crime that changed history more than six decades ago.
And one particular element — the tale of a would-be whistleblower with ties to the CIA — seemed to be gaining traction more than others.
But while the story itself wasn’t new, one element of it hadn’t been public before.
Emily Brooks, a reporter for Beltway-centric news organization The Hill, published a post about it to the social media platform X.
This document from the JFK files drop is going viral on conservative Twitter right now. But this part isn’t new.
The viral part is quoting a 1967 piece in Ramparts magazine. So, the Gary Underhill stuff has been out there for a while. The full memo provides information about… https://t.co/DvLiuHF66Qpic.twitter.com/JNg7tGhWcs
