“The Biden-Harris Administration has used the immigration court backlog as an excuse to allow even more aliens to remain in the country. Instead of actually adjudicating illegal aliens’ cases based on the merits of aliens’ claims for relief—such as whether an alien has a valid and successful asylum claim—immigration judges under the Biden-Harris Administration have been tasked with rubberstamping case dismissals, case closures, and case terminations, all of which allow illegal aliens to remain in the United States without immigration consequences,” the report stated.
Through oversight conducted by the Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement since 2023, it has been revealed that the administration “has used administrative maneuvering in immigration court proceedings to allow nearly 1 million illegal aliens to remain in the US indefinitely.”
To “mask” the increase in new cases created by the Biden-Harris admin’s border crisis, the administration “has empowered ICE attorneys to pursue or agree to—and immigration judges to grant—mass dismissals, terminations, and closures of immigration cases.”
A dismissal is “requested by ICE when the agency ‘makes a determination that they’re not going to proceed forward’” in a particular case, termination “ends an alien’s immigration court removal proceedings,” and administrative closure indefinitely “pauses an alien’s removal proceedings by removing the case from an immigration judge’s calendar.” All three of these instances allow “aliens to remain in the US indefinitely,” the report stated.
From the beginning of the administration through July 31, 2023, immigration judges administratively closed 71,465 cases. Immigration judges also dismissed 459,356 cases and terminated 172,645 cases through June 30, 2024. “The pace of case dismissals, terminations, and closures increased every year under the Biden-Harris Administration,” with just over 5,000 cases being administratively closed from Biden’s inauguration through the end of fiscal year 2021, 35,775 cases being closed in fiscal year 2022, and 30,476 cases being closed in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2023. Similar skyrocketing numbers were seen for terminations and case dismissals.
“Without adjudicating cases and ordering aliens removed from the United States, immigration judges’ mass granting of dismissals, terminations, and closures ensures that aliens can remain in the US indefinitely. Even worse, the majority of the aliens in those cases likely never would have been able to establish any legal basis to remain in the country,” the report stated.
“Instead of adjudicating these cases, denying invalid asylum claims, and ordering aliens removed from the United States, the Biden-Harris Administration has directed its immigration judges to simply not adjudicate them,” the report later added.

This online poll of 1,244 likely voters was taken between Oct. 21-22.
In the seven battleground states — Georgia, North Carolina, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan — Trump is up eight points over Harris, 54 to 46 percent.
With polling all over the place, the trends matter more than anything, especially when you can compare the same poll over time. So Forbes is correct. Harris lost her four-point lead in only five or six weeks. That’s a six-point shift in Trump’s direction.
The national shift towards Trump in this poll is no fluke. In the RealClearPolitics average poll of national polls, Kamala’s lead is down to just over a half-point, at 0.6 points. At the beginning of the month, she was 2.2 points ahead.
At this same time in 2016, Trump was down nationally to Hillary Clinton by 5.9 points. In 2020, Trump was down to Joe Biden by eight points.
Trump has never polled better than he is polling right now.
In those seven crucial swing states that will decide the election, the story is the same: Little by little, the former president has edged into a lead in all seven. In five of the seven swing states, Trump’s lead is less than a single point. Nevertheless, it is a steady lead.
Additionally, among those who know, the early vote so far looks extraordinarily good for Team Trump. That could change on a dime over the next week or ten days, but right now Republicans are thrilled with what they are seeing, while Democrats stress over their usually reliable base staying home (so far) in larger numbers than expected this many days in.

“The whole point of this new process to try to boost the efficiency of photosynthesis,” says senior author Feng Jiao, an electrochemist at Washington University in St. Louis. “Right now, we are at about 4% efficiency, which is already four times higher than for photosynthesis, and because everything is more efficient with this method, the CO2 footprint associated with the production of the food becomes much smaller.”
To genetically engineer acetate-eating plants, the researchers are taking advantage of a metabolic pathway that germinating plants use to break down food stored in their seeds. This pathway is switched off once plants become capable of photosynthesis, but switching it back on would enable them to use acetate as a source of energy and carbon.
“We’re trying to turn this pathway back on in adult plants and reawaken their native ability to utilize acetate,” says Jinkerson. “It’s analogous to lactose intolerance in humans — as babies we can digest lactose in milk, but for many people that pathway is turned off when they grow up. At still another point, Wade was asked about an invoice in which he billed Fulton taxpayers $6,000 for three days’ work from Sept. 7-9, 2022 for “Witness interview; conf call D.C.; team meeting.”
Again, Wade could not recall anything about the “conf call.”
In total, as Townhall noted, Wade used the phrases “I don’t recall,” “I can’t recall,” or “I don’t know” almost 60 times.
What is clear, however, is that Wade met with the Biden White House repeatedly while conducting a prosecution of the man the Biden White House feared as Biden’s most potent political opposition.
The fact that Wade claims not to recall anything about those meetings has its own problems.
Wade was being paid handsomely by Fulton County taxpayers for his mental acumen. Lawyers who make $250 an hour are generally expected to have a fairly high-grade intelligence, which generally translates to a reasonably good memory.
To a reasonable American, a man in Wade’s position who claims he can’t remember such important matters as when meetings take place and who attended — when those meetings involve the White House and a crucial front in the Democratic legal war on Trump — is not being very convincing.
In fact, it gives the impression that he’s got something to hide. And that makes him about the worst witness possible.

– Kamala Harris was interrupted at her Wisconsin rally recently by someone who shouted in response to her comments on abortion “Jesus is Lord” and “Christ is King.” Kamala appeared to take offense at the mentioning of the name of Christ, firing back “Oh, I think you’re at the wrong rally.”
She added to her blasphemy by lying when she claimed, “I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street.” Some Christians cite 2 Kings Chapter 19, where the Assyrian King Sennacherib had laid siege to Jerusalem, taunting God as he went, for which he would see his army smitten by the angel of the Lord (Christ to some). The two students, Grant Beth and Luke Polaske, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Juniors, said of their overall experience in the House of Harris:
Beth – “I was pushed by an elderly woman. We were heckled at, we were cursed at, we were mocked, and that’s the biggest thing for me personally. In reflection of the event, Jesus was mocked. You know, his disciples were mocked, and that’s OK.”
Polaske – “In reality, we did God’s work, and we were there for the right reasons, and God is watching us in this moment. I’m all about being a cordial person no matter your beliefs, but I do believe that we were sent there by God.”

A former high-ranking cabinet official in the Obama Administration is providing legal services to a Chinese military company as it files a lawsuit against the Department of Defense (DOD).
As the Daily Caller reports, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, who served as the final Attorney General in Barack Obama’s Cabinet from 2015 to 2017, is one of the five attorneys representing Chinese drone manufacturer DJI. Her services, along with the other four lawyers, are being provided by the firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton, & Garrison.
DJI filed its lawsuit on October 18th, challenging the Pentagon’s decision to designate the company as a “Chinese military company.” DJI was added to the Pentagon’s list of Section 1260H entities, determining that the company is “directly or indirectly owned, controlled or beneficially owned by” the Chinese military, and provides direct support to Chinese weapons manufacturing.
Lynch’s lawsuit claims that DJI “is neither owned nor controlled by the Chinese military and … sells only ‘consumer and commercial’ — not military — drones.” The company also insists that, as a result of the designation by the DOD, the company has suffered “ongoing financial and reputational harm.”
In a blistering statement on Monday, Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), declared that “Barack Obama’s former Attorney General Loretta Lynch has turned her back on her nation, selling out to our greatest adversary Communist China and suing the United States on behalf of CCP-owned drone company DJI.”

Such verboten speech includes variant or homophonic Chinese characters, abbreviations, online slang, “bad” memes, and phrases whose meaning seems obscure.
An October 11 Weibo post from The Paper (a digital newspaper owned and operated by state-owned Shanghai United Media Group) about the CAC’s latest campaign elicited an outpouring of comments from Chinese netizens. Many blamed government censors and large online platforms for censoring so many words and phrases that ordinary internet users have no choice but to turn to abbreviations, obscure language, variant characters, and homophones in order to express themselves online. “As the number of words we’re allowed to say shrinks, the volume of online slang expands,” commented one Weibo user. “It’s not clear what their underlying logic is—they just keep blindly banning things.” Another wrote: “Want to hazard a guess as to why jargon, bad memes, and obscure expressions proliferate?”
By October 14, comment filtering had been activated for The Paper’s Weibo post, and many of the comments under it disappeared. In the spring of 2022, Team Red was eagerly rubbing its hands together in anticipation of walloping the Democrats in the upcoming midterm elections. Then SCOTUS handed down its Dobbs v. Jackson decision, and we became the proverbial dog that caught the car.
Democrats seized their opportunity. I wrote at the time that “Democrats are going all-in on a massive abortion pep rally in the 2022 midterm races. They’re heading into the election cycle homestretch with a massive $124 million already spent on pro-abortion television ads — nearly 20 times what they spent pushing pregnancy termination in the 2018 midterms…”
In the end, we watched our promised red wave dry up into a pink trickle and instead had our a**es handed to us. And with its recently corrected status as a legislative matter, abortion promised to be a perennial issue. Right-wing strategists fretted that, with abortion on the table in every upcoming election from now on, there would always be enough single-issue pro-abortion voters to make it impossible for Republicans ever to win another election in almost every state as well as nationally.
I worried about this as well, but I was also hopeful that people would now be free to decide the abortion issue in a more regional and democratic manner. I figured it would settle into an uneasy peace sooner or later. Now, it looks as though the issue may already be easing down the importance scale, in time for the 2024 election.
Exhibit A is Florida. In April 2023, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the state’s “Heartbeat Protection Act,” banning most abortions after six weeks of gestation. The political strategist in me cringed. Florida’s deep red hue of recent years has been such a morale booster, that I was loathe to see it lost in the abortion wars. After legal challenges failed, the law went into effect last May, and I winced again. This election is crucial to America’s preservation, and if we couldn’t even hold Florida, what chance did the rest of the country have?
