Idaho National Guard Needs a Purge after Brass Says ‘No Christians Allowed’– lidblog.com

I don’t know who needs to hear it, but the top brass of the Idaho Army National Guard need to be cashiered out of the service after being caught saying Christians are not allowed to be promoted to officer ranks.

The Liberty Counsel has filed a lawsuit against the military branch, but lawsuit or no, Governor Brad Little — a putative Republican — needs to start firing his top Army officers for this.

According to a Liberty Counsel press release:

Liberty Counsel filed a lawsuit on behalf of an Idaho Army National Guard infantry officer against Governor Brad Little and two army generals for unlawfully removing the officer from command solely due to his personal Christian expression on biblical sexuality made outside of the military environment. An investigation into the officer, which revealed no wrongdoing, nevertheless recommended a policy to monitor potential candidates for command for any “concerning ideologies” as a way of “rooting out” any “extremism” in the ranks. In this case, the decision to remove him from command on this basis shows that his superiors believe his Bible-centered beliefs on sexuality to be concerning and essentially puts an unconstitutional “No Christians in Command” policy into action.

El Salvador has agreed to house violent US criminals and receive deportees of any nationality, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced Monday, in an unprecedented – and legally problematic deal – that has alarmed critics and rights groups.

Rubio unveiled the agreement after meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, as part of a tour of several Central American countries intended to consolidate regional support for the Trump administration’s immigration policy.

“In an act of extraordinary friendship to our country … (El Salvador) has agreed to the most unprecedented and extraordinary migratory agreement anywhere in the world,” Rubio told reporters Monday.

The country will continue accepting Salvadoran deportees who illegally entered the US, he said. It will also “accept for deportation any illegal alien in the United States who is a criminal from any nationality, be they MS-13 or Tren de Aragua and house them in his jails,” he said – referring to two notorious transnational gangs with members from El Salvador and Venezuela.

Belgium moves to the right as new prime minister De Wever sworn in – Borneo Bulletin

Conservative Bart De Wever was sworn in yesterday as Belgium’s new prime minister, after striking a hard-fought coalition deal that moves the country to the right.

Struck late Friday after seven months of tortuous negotiations, the agreement makes De Wever the first nationalist from Dutch-speaking Flanders to be named Belgian premier.

The 54-year-old – who in recent years has backed off on calls for Flanders to become an independent country – took the oath of office before King Philippe, in a ceremony at the royal palace in Brussels.

From there, he headed straight to a gathering of European Union (EU) leaders a few blocks away, for talks on defence and transatlantic relations.

Split between French- and Dutch-speaking communities and with a highly complex political system, Belgium has an unenviable record of painfully protracted coalition discussions – reaching 541 days back in 2010-2011.

Trump Prepares Executive Action To Dismantle Education Department– trendingpoliticsnews.com

Excerpt:

President Donald Trump is preparing to issue a series of executive actions to dismantle the Department of Education, according to a report from The Washington Post. Trump had previously promised to abolish the department outright while on the campaign trail, pointing to its record of inefficiency over the past several decades.

According to the report, which cites multiple people familiar with the order, Trump’s executive action acknowledges that Congress has the authority to abolish the department outright. As a result, Trump will reportedly be enacting a series of policies that will work to dismantle the Education Department from within by redirecting funding and reducing its workforce.

In the first two weeks of the second Trump Administration, hundreds of federal employees have already been placed on paid administrative leave, including all federal diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) workers, several federal prosecutors who worked to prosecute Trump and his supporters over the January 6 Capitol protests, and dozens of FBI agents.

The work is continuing in the Department of Education, as Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative has deployed 20 staffers to focus on the department. DOGE staffers are currently looking for ways to cut spending and staff, three people familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.

Transgender Service Members Left in Uncertainty After Trump’s Military Ban – TIME

When Kate Cole, a 34-year-old U.S. Army Sergeant First Class and transgender woman, eventually retires from the military, she has dreams of moving from California to Colorado to work as a climbing guide. But right now, she only wants one thing: to be allowed to serve her country.

“I enjoy the work I do. I like working with the people I work with. The Army is my community,” says Cole, one of six trans service members who are suing the Trump Administration for its trans military ban, an Executive Order announced on January 27 that prohibits transgender troops from enlisting and serving openly in the military. “It’s my life.”

While the way the Department of Defense would implement the ban is unclear, the Executive Order would cut Cole and other trans service members from their jobs.

The National Center for Lesbian Rights (NCLR) and GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD Law) filed a federal lawsuit on January 28 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against the Trump Administration in response to the order, saying the ban violates equal protection.

Printed nanoparticle sensors could enable personalised healthcare – Professional Engineering

Personalised healthcare could transform medicine. By tracking and measuring patients’ conditions, doctors could deliver the precise combination of nutrients and medications they need, stabilising and improving conditions.

To make that possible, healthcare professionals need a way to continuously monitor certain biomarkers. Wearable and implantable sensors offer a way to do that – but until now, scaling up production has been a challenge.

A team of researchers at the California Institute of Technology hope to change that with a new technique for inkjet printing arrays of special nanoparticles, which could be used in mass production of long-lasting wearable sweat sensors. These could monitor biomarkers such as vitamins, hormones and medications in real time, allowing patients and physicians to track changes.

Wearable biosensors that incorporate the new nanoparticles have already been used to monitor metabolites in patients suffering from long Covid, and the levels of chemotherapy drugs in cancer patients.

“These are just two examples of what is possible,” said Professor Wei Gao, corresponding author of a paper describing the new technique. “There are many chronic conditions… that these sensors now give us the possibility to monitor continuously and non-invasively.”

It seems Keir Starmer has learnt absolutely nothing – and is still putting his leftie shame of our country’s history over our national security, and our longstanding relationship with our closest ally.

He has the audacity to tell the British people they will foot the bill and pay for the indignity of his surrender of the Chagos Islands, as he isolates the new US administration by bending the knee to Mauritius and emboldening our enemies with his disastrous surrender deal.

Starmer and David Lammy must urgently explain their epic failure of diplomacy which is putting out special relationship at risk while they play pathetic gesture politics.

In fact, negotiations with Mauritius over the transfer of sovereignty started when the Conservative goverment was in office. The current government, like the last one, says a deal is needed because the UK kept losing cases in international courts over the sovereignty issue.

Conspiracy theories and jokes about a rigged NFL abound after years of suspicion that the league orders its referees to give the Chiefs every call.

This is nonsense, of course, but imagine if an email inviting high-profile Chiefs fans to a secret meeting with head coach Andy Reid, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, his head of officiating, and Taylor Swift was uncovered. And imagine if the subject line of that email was “Chance to put the Super Bowl in play in 2025.”

Brown University Medical School now gives “diversity, equity, and inclusion” more weight than “excellent clinical skills” in its promotion criteria for faculty, raising questions about the quality of teaching and patient care at the elite medical school and underscoring how deeply DEI has penetrated medical education.

The criteria, which are posted on Brown’s website and have not been previously reported, list a “demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion” as a “major criterion” for all positions within the Department of Medicine, which oversees the bulk of the school’s clinical units. Clinical skills, by contrast, only count as a “minor criterion” for many roles.

Doctors who reviewed the criteria were alarmed, saying they reflect an unusually frank admission that merit is taking a back seat to DEI.

“This is as stark as it gets,” said Bob Cirincione, an orthopedic surgeon in Hagerstown, Maryland. The criteria “say what DEI in medical schools is all about. And it’s not about clinical performance.”

So far, more than 20,000 U.S. Federal workers have taken President Donald Trump’s buyout offer. This accounts for 1% of the total Federal workforce and is far short of the overall goal set by the White House, with consultation by DOGE, of 5%. “Insiders” talking to various press outlets expect a lot more buyouts to come before the final deadline to accept the offer expires.

UPDATE: 20,000 Federal Workers Have Taken President Trump’s “Buyout” — And Counting– wltreport.com

What’s better than firing people?

Getting them to quit on their own, especially when you’re operating in the minefield of federal workers.  Because of course The Swamp has built several protections into the system to protect itself.  After all, it wouldn’t be The Swamp if it didn’t!

But President Trump and DOGE are already making tremendous progress, trimming 20,000 bloated federal workers from the payroll — and counting!

Yes, this only amounts to about 1% of the federal workforce, but you have to start somewhere.

And pretty soon all these 1% gains are going to start stacking up!  They already are.

Axios was the first to report on the story:

About 20,000 federal workers have accepted the “buyout” offer put forward by the Trump administration last week, a senior administration official tells Axios.

Why it matters: It’s a significant number of people — about 1% of the federal workforce — but still substantially less than the White House’s target of 5% to 10%.

The offer is open through Thursday, meaning the total could rise, despite heavy opposition from unions and others.

What they’re saying: “We expect more to come. If you see what’s happening at USAID, it’s just one piece of the puzzle,” the official said, referring to the rapid restructuring of the federal agency that oversees foreign aid programs.

Aside from the pace of resignations, the official said, the administration is still trying to implement a hiring freeze.

In case you missed it, here was our original report:

BREAKING: President Trump To Offer Buyout To ALL Federal Workers, Expected To Save $100 Billion PER YEAR!

BREAKING: President Trump To Offer Buyout To ALL Federal Workers, Expected To Save $100 Billion PER YEAR!

Yesterday, I reported that there are some very brilliant “secret plans” in the works for DOGE and they would be rolling out soon.

If you missed that report, you can see it here:

Marc Andreessen Saw The “Secret Plans” For DOGE and it “Blew His Mind”

Today it looks like they’re already starting to roll out — and Elon Musk himself said this is just the tip of what’s coming!

First was this:

“Hold The Fake News Accountable For Their Lies” – Trump Administration Launches ‘Rapid Response’ Social Media Account

Then this:

JUST IN: US Pauses $50M Gaza Condom Aid

And now a BIG one….

You might even say “Big League”!

According to Axios and NBC News, the Trump Administration is getting ready to offer a buyout to ALL federal workers (2+ million of them).

The buyout will give an incentive for workers to resign, thereby shrinking the federal payroll, shrinking one component of the entrenched “Deep State” and saving billions.

In fact, it is estimated that 5-10% of the federal workforce might accept this offer, which is estimated to result in about $100 BILLION of savings….per year!

Here are more details, from Axios:

The White House will issue a memo Tuesday offering to pay federal workers who don’t want to return to the office through Sept. 30, as long as they resign by Feb. 6, an administration official tells Axios.

Why it matters: It’s an acceleration in President Trump’s already unprecedented purge of the federal workforce.

What they’re saying: “The government-wide email being sent today is to make sure that all federal workers are on board with the new administration’s plan to have federal employees in office and adhering to higher standards. We’re five years past COVID and just 6 percent of federal employees work full-time in office. That is unacceptable,” a senior administration official tells Axios.

  • The White House expects 5% to 10% of federal employees to accept the offer, which would potentially mean hundreds of thousands of people.
  • The administration projects the buyouts could ultimately save taxpayers up to $100 billion a year.

Zoom out: The offer applies to all full-time federal employees, except for military personnel, the Postal Service, and those working in immigration enforcement or national security.

The big picture: The memo is just the latest step in the White House’s unprecedented move to push career federal workers out of their jobs, and, observers say, replace them with loyalists — a return to a patronage system that federal law sought to banish more than a century ago.

NBC News confirms:

President Donald Trump’s administration is set to offer every single federal worker the chance to take a “deferred resignation” with a severance package of roughly eight months of pay and benefits.

A senior administration official told NBC News that they expect 5%-10% of the federal workforce to quit, which, they estimate, could lead to around $100 billion in savings.

“American taxpayers pay for the salaries of federal government employees, and therefore deserve employees working on their behalf who actually show up to work in our wonderful federal buildings, also paid for by taxpayers,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. “If they don’t want to work in the office and contribute to making America great again, then they are free to choose a different line of work, and the Trump Administration will provide a very generous payout of 8 months.”

That would sure be a great start for DOGE and for the Trump Administration, don’t you think?

Absolutely brilliant, but then I would expect nothing less from Trump and Elon.

Way to go fellas!

Trump issued an order January 28 prohibiting federal funding for hospitals that give “gender affirming” surgery, hormone treatment to children under 18. James wrote, “Regardless of the availability of federal funding, we write to further remind you of your obligations to comply with New York State laws, including those that prohibit discrimination against individuals based on their membership in a protected class, such as sex [and] gender identity or expression.”

New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) has warned hospitals in her state that they must continue providing so-called “gender affirming care” to minors, despite an executive order from President Donald Trump, or risk possible repercussions for engaging in “discrimination.”

On January 28, Trump issued an executive order prohibiting federal funding for medical facilities that supposedly help a child 18 years old or younger “‘transition’ … from one sex to another.” The order described such procedures as “chemical and surgical mutilation” and noted they often result in permanent reproductive damage.

“Countless children soon regret that they have been mutilated and begin to grasp the horrifying tragedy that they will never be able to conceive children of their own or nurture their children through breastfeeding. Moreover, these vulnerable youths’ medical bills may rise throughout their lifetimes, as they are often trapped with lifelong medical complications, a losing war with their own bodies, and, tragically, sterilization,” the executive order explained.
