Pathologic altruism (P.A.) may be defined as an intervention which is intended to allay the plight of others, but which instead enables their harmful or self-destructive behavior.  Providing addicts with opiates.  Its practice may also be detrimental to those perpetuating it.  Open borders.

P.A.is a powerful tool of the radical left insurgency.  Leftist policy enables homelessness, drug legalization, illegal immigration, gender dysphoria, shoplifting, “peaceful protests,” defunding the police, participation prizes, permissive parenting, grade inflation, DEI.  All such measures are of no help or detrimental to the recipient of such largesse, as well as to the society at large.
