Progressive California Governor Gavin Newsom called news of a DOJ investigation targeting him a political persecution, not a legitimate prosecution. The investigation, however, began under the Biden DOJ, not Trump’s DOJ, and is only now coming to light.
The DOJ is investigating numerous alleged acts of fraud and graft committed by the Governor. Newsom claimed, “Today, my wife & I joined Donald Trump’s hit list. He has directed his Department of Justice to investigate us. They have not found a crime – they are simply trying to find one. He isn’t coming after me because of mean tweets, but because I am considering running for President.…”
