Transgender Ideology

What happened today at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis was a horrific tragedy.

I’m sure you’ve heard about the identity of the shooter by now, but in case you haven’t, the gunman was a mentally-ill, transgender man named Robin Westman.

Before gunning down several children at the school, Westman posted a series of disturbing social media videos.

Some of them showed his guns and magazines, on which he scrawled messages — including “Kill Donald Trump.”

However, ABC News’ coverage of that message is highly questionable, to say the least.

In fact, in an apparent attempt to paint Westman as a Trump supporter, ABC News refused to say the exact message.

Instead, correspondent Aaron Katersky vaguely referenced that “President Trump’s name” was written on the gun…

Two of the three Virginia high school boys who objected to a gender-confused girl in their locker room have been suspended, in a school district with one of the most checkered pasts on the subject in America.

As previously covered by LifeSiteNews, in a video taken by a girl who identifies as a male at Loudoun County’s Stonebridge High School, three boys can be heard expressing to each other their discomfort with her presence. Loudoun County Public Schools [LCPS] subsequently launched a Title IX investigation against the boys, based on the video.

The father of one of the boys told local media that his son and the others were “questioning why there was a female in the males’ locker room … There were other boys asking the same question. They [LCPS] created a very uncomfortable situation. They’re young, they’re 15 years old. They’re expressing their opinions, and now they’re being targeted for expressing those opinions.”

She announced on Instagram Monday that the park dismissed her “for practicing my First Amendment right.”

Joslin admitted to raising the 55-foot by 35-foot flag in May but insisted the action was done while off duty as a private citizen.

After five far-left Northern Virginia school districts refused to stop forcing “transgender” policies on their students, the U.S. Department of Education is proceeding with suspending or terminating federal funding.

The Education Department announced Tuesday that the five Washington, D.C.-suburb districts — Alexandria City, Arlington County, Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County — would be placed on “high-risk status,” meaning they will be forced to pay education expenses up front, and the federal government will only reimburse them.

More than $50 million in grant funding, including formula, discretionary, and impact aid grants, will be under the reimbursement status, meaning the districts will have to prove that federal dollars are being spent consistently with federal law in order to get federal funding.

A new report details how the Human Rights Campaign, the nation’s largest LGBT lobby, pressures hospitals into child genital mutilation and castration.

A new report from Do No Harm (DNH) titled, “How the Human Rights Campaign’s Healthcare Equality Index Infects Pediatric Hospitals with Gender Ideology,” details how HRC and its charity branch, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRCF), uses a scoring index to measure a hospital’s “compliance with various tenets of gender ideology.” Hospitals lose points if they do not offer or encourage dangerous and anti-human transgender procedures such as male genital amputation, breast amputation, and fake genital construction for children.

“It is time to expose and root out the Human Rights Campaign’s vast influence over healthcare systems. Our report sheds light on how the HRC weaponized its so-called ‘Healthcare Equality Index’ to pressure pediatric hospitals into chemically and surgically castrating children,” said report author Kurt Miceli, MD, in a statement. “By capitulating to the HRC’s political scheme, hospitals have utterly betrayed patients, especially children struggling with gender dysphoria. If health systems care about providing high-quality pediatric care, then they should distance themselves from the HRC and its Index.”

Informed consent is a pillar of any ethical medical practice or treatment, but like the pseudo-science cited by proponents of “transgender” genital mutilation and chemical castration, it is notoriously absent from discussions about whether to pursue the irreversible medical interventions.

On Monday, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launched an inquiry, requesting public input, as to the true scope of information provided to would-be patients — with a particular focus on children — by doctors or other health professionals before being convinced to start the experimental and permanently harmful interventions.

The FTC says it wants to “better understand how consumers may have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about ‘gender-affirming care,’ especially as it relates to minors, and to gauge the harms consumers may be experiencing.”

The inquiry follows a July 9 event where the FTC heard from a variety doctors, detransitioners, parents, and medical ethicists on the subject of deceptive trade practices when it comes to fully describing the risks involved with the unproven and often gruesome medical procedures.

In the weeks surrounding Trump’s inauguration, the left-wing media insisted the administration’s effort to remove trans troops from the military would weaken the force — some outlets fearmongered that up to 15,000 service members would be booted. But numbers recently obtained by journalist Chris Bray from the Department of Defense indicate that only four “transgender servicemembers” have been “removed from the military so far under the new Trump administration policy.”

In May, the Department of Defense released a memo laying out how “Service members who have a current diagnosis or history of, or exhibit symptoms consistent with, gender dysphoria may elect to separate voluntarily.” At the time, the agency estimated 1,000 troops who self-identified as having gender dysphoria would “begin the voluntary separation process.” According to Bray’s reporting, citing a DoD official, of 1,404 troops who self-identified as of May, only four have completed the process of separation. The rest are “pending.”

Nonetheless, as Bray also notes, the media will surely continue pushing the claim that Trump’s efforts to “prioritize military excellence” will boot “thousands” from the force.

I’m a huge fan of the Legend of Zelda games. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve helping hero Link on his quest to rescue Princess Zelda from the evil clutches of big baddie Ganondorf. But one wonders how Link would react if he discovered the princess he had just risked life and limb to save was a dude in a dress.

The internet erupted earlier this month with news of the casting for the much-anticipated Zelda live-action movie. British actors Benjamin Evan Ainsworth and Bo Bragason are set to portray Link and Princess Zelda, respectively.

Activists were enraged that their preferred choice for Zelda, one Hunter Schafer, did not get the part following endless rumors he would. I emphasize he because Schafer is a man who claims to be a woman.

The gender cultists argued that in one heavily stylized photo, Schafer closely resembled Zelda’s appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. If you squint, Schafer could share some features with the titular princess, minus the Adam’s apple and five o’clock shadow, of course.

Trump administration policies force their hand

Hospitals affiliated with Yale University will no longer inject gender-confused kids with drugs, due to a Trump administration policy.

“Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Hospital are eliminating the medication treatment component of the gender-affirming program for patients under age 19,” NBC CT reported.

The drugs are intended to block puberty and help boys look like girls and vice versa. President Trump’s administration, as reported by NBC reported, “prohibits the use of federal funds for any services that sponsors, promotes, assists or supports the transition of a child from one sex to another.”

“We have been carefully monitoring federal executive orders and administrative actions relating to gender-affirming care for patients under age 19,” Yale New Haven Health told the media. “After a thorough assessment of the current environment, we have made the very difficult decision to modify the pediatric gender program to eliminate the medication treatment component of the gender-affirming program for patients under age 19.”

Yale Medicine works closely with the hospital system. “Yale New Haven Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine,” according to the healthcare organization’s website.

There is a spirit resurrecting across the United States, a welcome force for the restoration of Good against Evil, the reintroduction and reinforcement of all things right and well that made Western civilization possible.

I am writing about the pro-family movement, of course, which is witnessing a necessary resurgence in the United States. Ten years ago, the United States Supreme Court imposed one of its most egregious decisions: Obergefell v. Hodges. Blasting through constitutional amendments enacted by several states, Obergefell imposed same-sex “marriage” on the entire country. Judicial fiat, a threat to democracy, and a disturbing revision of our constitution’s foundational principles marked the reception of this disordered court decision.

LGBT propaganda, promotion, and punishment have been unleashed on the country ever since. A backlash against the abuses of this coercive agenda has risen up, from boycotts against major businesses pushing Pride to a growing recession of attendance and support for Pride parades in public squares and city centers.

“Jessica is a caring mom of five who is now free to adopt after Oregon officials excluded her because of her common-sense belief that a girl cannot become a boy or vice versa.”

A federal court of appeals has sided with an Oregon woman who sued the state over an adoption rule by the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) that went against her Christian beliefs. The woman was seeking to adopt children and prevented from doing so by LGBTQ laws.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a preliminary injunction barring the ODHS from applying Oregon Administrative Rule Section 413- 200-0308(2)(k) to Jessica Bates while the lawsuit plays out in lower courts.

The rule states that those seeking to foster or adopt children in the state must “Respect, accept and support the race, ethnicity, cultural identities, national origin, immigration status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disabilities, spiritual beliefs, and socioeconomic status, of a child or young adult in the care or custody of the Department, and provide opportunities to enhance the positive self-concept and understanding of the child or young adult’s heritage.”

On Monday the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USPOC) posted an updated policy stating that it will follow President Donald Trump’s Executive Order banning men from women’s sports.

While the committee updated the policy on June 18, it was not made public until this week.

The change was made with little publicity, and the policy update was so understated it would be difficult to detect without it being pointed out.

In Section 3.3 of the 27-page document, the committee added an addendum entitled “Additional Requirements” which states:

“The USOPC is committed to protecting opportunities for athletes participating in sport. The USOPC will continue to collaborate with various stakeholders with oversight responsibilities, e.g., IOC, IPC, NGBs, to ensure that women have a fair and safe competition environment consistent with Executive Order 14201 and the Ted Stevens Olympic & Amateur Sports Act.”

On July 22, America’s largest transgender youth “clinic” shut its doors in response to an executive order banning the practice of chemical and surgical mutilation of children.

The Center for Transyouth Health and Development (CTH) at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has administered experimental transgender “treatments” for more than 30 years, providing puberty-blocking hormones and genitalia surgeries to thousands of children and young adults. Despite a complete lack of data to support the practice and mounting evidence of its harm, CTH clinicians had no intention of shutting down before Trump’s order forced the hospital’s hand.

Entitled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” the White House order states that U.S. policy will no longer “fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another,” and will “rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

After a “thorough legal and financial assessment,” the hospital decided to cut its losses.

The “transgender” obsession of recent history can be removed from society entirely, but it will require more people actively standing athwart the left’s attempts to normalize it, forcing institutions to confront reality.

The fight must exist in every facet of the issue, but perhaps nowhere is that more illustrative than in sports, which has seen a growing number of athletes resign from or speak out against competitions in which they face someone of the opposite sex — particularly when a male competes against a female.

Amid these protests, a growing number of major sports organizations have been doing the right thing by blocking male competitors from competing against females.

On Monday, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) effectively banned males from competing in women’s Olympic sports. They did it quietly, fairly ambiguously, and without much detail on how they would ensure that would happen, but the USOPC directly cited President Donald Trump’s executive order called “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” in its policy, stating it will “ensure that women have a fair and safe competition environment consistent with Executive Order 14201.”

USOPC’s rule change appears to come as pressure from that order, and also comes ahead of the United States hosting the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, preparations for which are already underway.

HONG KONG — A Hong Kong judge on Wednesday ruled to strike down regulations criminalizing the use of bathrooms designated for the opposite sex, ruling in favor of transgender individuals’ rights to access public toilets matching their identity.

Judge Russell Coleman approved the judicial review of K, who was born a woman and identifies as a man, saying the regulations contravene an article of the city’s mini-constitution that stipulates all residents should be equal before the law.

But he suspended the declaration to strike down the regulations for a year to allow the government “to consider whether it wishes to implement a way to deal with the contravention.”

He said in the judgement that the regulations and “drawing the line of a person’s biological sex at birth create a disproportionate and unnecessary intrusion into the privacy and equality rights.”

The ruling marks another step forward in recognizing the rights of LGBTQ+ people in the Chinese financial hub. In recent years, the government has revised policies following activists’ wins in legal challenges.

Soon after, Ressler filed for a “religious accommodation request” to “inform my employer of my religious beliefs and engage in the interactive process in good faith,” the press release said.

Three days after filing the religious exemption, Ressler was fired on the basis of “misgendering,” the press release said.

“I believe IKEA discriminated against me by failing to accommodate my sincerely held religious beliefs against using ‘they/them’ pronouns when addressing a transgender employee and terminated me for misgendering,” Ressler said.

Ressler filed a “formal complaint” with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Indiana Civil Rights Commission, the press release said.

The U.S. Senate on Tuesday narrowly advanced key legislation making good on President Donald Trump’s promise to defund publicly funded media outlets like NPR, but not without overriding opposition from three Republicans who almost derailed the bill.

Conservatives focused their anger on the three holdouts who bucked their party, forcing Vice President J.D. Vance to cast the tie-breaking vote in favor of stripping PBS and NPR of taxpayer funds. It was the sixth time this year that Vance had to intervene to avoid a defeat in the Republican-controlled chamber.

The vote came as Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) works feverishly to shore up several of Trump’s agenda items before Congress breaks for its annual August recess.

The 51-50 vote saw Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME), who is up for reelection in 2026, break with her party over a bill that sought to claw back public funds from both media outlets. Still, she voted to advance the legislation to the floor for its final vote.

“The rescissions package has a big problem — nobody really knows what program reductions are in it,” Collins said in a prepared statement released after the procedural vote. “That isn’t because we haven’t had time to review the bill. Instead, the problem is that (the Office of Management and Budget) has never provided the details that would normally be part of this process.”

Asteroid 2022 YS5 is a building-sized asteroid that is scheduled to make a close approach to Earth on July 17, capturing the attention of astronomers, scientists, and space agencies worldwide. Although the asteroid is expected to fly past Earth at a safe distance, the event underscores the increasing importance of planetary defense systems, ongoing asteroid monitoring, and global cooperation in space. Both NASA and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have confirmed that 2022 YS5 poses no threat, but are treating this event as a timely reminder of the need for continued vigilance and preparedness.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has officially confirmed that asteroid 2022 YS5, measuring approximately 120 feet (36.5 meters) in diameter, will pass Earth at a distance of about 4.15 million kilometers (roughly 2.58 million miles). While that may sound like a vast distance, it is considered relatively close in astronomical terms, especially given the asteroid’s speed of over 14,000 miles per hour (22,500 km/h).2022 YS5 belongs to the Aten group of near-Earth asteroids, known for having orbits that can cross Earth’s path. However, NASA has made it clear that this particular asteroid does not qualify as potentially hazardous, as it does not meet the two key risk criteria:

  • Proximity: Within 7.4 million kilometers (4.6 million miles) of Earth
  • Size: Greater than 85 meters in diameter

Since 2022 YS5 falls short on both counts, its flyby is being monitored but not considered dangerous.

During the June 26 59th Session of the UN Human Rights Council, UN special rapporteur on violence against women and girls Reem Alsalem presented her new report condemning the erasure of women and girls due to LGBT ideology.

“You cannot protect what you cannot define,” Alsalem declared.

“I never thought the day would come where the mandate would deem it necessary to prepare a report affirming that the words ‘women’ and ‘girls’ refer to distinct biological and legal categories,” she continued.

The report emphasized that sex-based violence is rooted in the biological distinctions of sex, defined as the physical and physiological characteristics that differentiate males and females.

It further recommended “the proper and effective consideration of sex in understanding the experiences of discrimination of women and girls, preventing further violence and responding to the needs of survivors.”

If a future Congress shows any fiscal conservatism and tries even to address some of its waste and abuse, left-wing lawmakers—and their allies in the media—will excoriate them for making supposedly radical cuts.

Before the House voted Thursday to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries went on a record 8.5-hour rant on the House floor accusing Republicans of an “all-out assault on the health and well-being of everyday Americans.”

If that sounds ominous, note that he also called the bill “an all-out assault on the care being provided by Planned Parenthood” for prohibiting Medicaid funds from going to abortion providers for one year. Phrases like “health care” and “all-out assault” mean something different to the far left than to the rest of us.

The medical advocacy group Do No Harm has in recent years worked with health care professionals, hospital administrators, patients, and policymakers to combat DEI-branded racism and gender ideology in the field of medicine.

In order to better tackle the second of these two scourges, the organization launched the Stop the Harm Database in October, identifying hospitals and medical facilities around the country that were subjecting vulnerable children to sex-change mutilations and sterilizing chemical treatments.

The FBI has launched criminal probes into three of the apparent worst offenders in the database — Boston Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — a source familiar with the investigations told Fox News Digital this week.

FBI Director Kash Patel appeared to signal that the anonymous source’s claim was legitimate by retweeting a post on X regarding the investigations.

The Stop the Harm Database indicated that Boston Children’s Hospital has offered sex-change treatments to patients ages 3 to 25 through its Gender Multispeciality Service; performed 204 sex-change surgeries between 2017 and 2020; offered vaginoplasty surgeries to 17-year-old patients without parental consent; and dished out sterilizing hormone and puberty blocker drugs to hundreds of patients.

President Donald Trump issued a rebuke of the state for allowing a 16-year-old transgender runner to compete. Trump said the inclusion of a biological male was “totally demeaning to women and girls” and threatened to pull funding from the state. McMahon confirmed on Fox & Friends that this would be a reality unless the state makes immediate changes.

“We are giving them 10 days to remedy the situation. We have a remedy for them, but if they do not comply within 10 days, we will refer this to the Department of Justice,” McMahon said. “They really need to send a letter of apology to all of the female participants in sports. They need to return the titles that were taken away from these women who competed and lost to the males in sports, and they just have to make it right to those women competitors.”

This follows Trump’s “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order, which clarified that Title IX, a law banning sex-based discrimination, would be enforced on the basis of biological sex. His administration argues that requiring biological females to compete against a transgender woman instead of having biological female-exclusive sports constitutes a civil rights violation.

Federal funding comprised over one-third, or $152.8 billion, of California’s 2024-25 budget, according to the California Budget and Policy Center. While McMahon did not detail how much federal funding could be lost due to this violation, she said it would be a “substantial amount.”

“They run the risk of losing their federal funding, in their K-12 schools, that’s where these infractions were committed,” McMahon said before paraphrasing Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) take on the matter. “It’s very interesting to hear Gov. Newsom say it’s a matter of fairness. It is easy. Talk is cheap. I think he needs to put his money where his mouth is.”

Every so often, an academic wrapped in the robes of theory decides to rewrite history — not to correct it, but to commandeer it.

The latest example comes from the Conversation, in which a University of Iowa scholar, Sarah Barringer, claims that Christianity has a “transgender” heritage. You heard that right: Saints who renounced the world to live in chastity and devotion are now being posthumously enlisted in a modern identity crusade they never chose.

The modern obsession with identity — splintering the self into ever-narrower categories — is antithetical to the Christian ethos.

Let’s acknowledge the truth up front: There is no such thing as a “transgender saint.” There are saints who disguised themselves, fled arranged marriages, and shaved their heads and donned robes to live among men in monasteries because that was the only place they could escape danger, obligation, or temptation.

But calling this “transness” is like calling Joan of Arc gender-fluid because she wore armor. It’s historical trespassing and spiritual identity theft dressed up as scholarship.

Are they not just jumping up and down? Like, how is that impressive?

Liberal America suffered another blow with the Supreme Court’s ruling on Tennessee’s transgender law. The Volunteer State passed ordinances to protect its youth from the twisted overreaches of the trans clan vis-à-vis surgeries and puberty blockers. The ruling didn’t strike down laws that permitted such insanity, but other states can now pass similar laws that will hit the brakes on unhinged parents mutilating their kids. Jeff had the story this week:

The Supreme Court on Wednesday issued a ruling upholding Tennessee’s ban on “gender-affirming care” for minors suffering from gender dysphoria.

The ruling solidifies laws that shield children from being subjected to questionable medical treatments such as puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and surgery.

In a 6-3 decision, the Court ruled that Tennessee’s law does not violate the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment because it does not classify based on sex or gender identity. It concluded that the state has a legitimate interest in protecting children from the adverse impact of these treatments.

LGBTQ advocates have long allied themselves with diversity, equity and inclusion groups. Yet DEI’s legal troubles are causing some corporate sponsors to end their support for Pride activities.

Soon, Pride advocates may have legal problems of their own. That’s bad for Pride organizers, but it’s good for parents because rulings could spell out protections for parents and children from explicit sexual material in schools.

An April survey of corporate executives found that 39% of respondents “plan to reduce Pride-related engagement in 2025,” with 61% of these business leaders citing “pressure” from the White House as the primary reason for dropping support.

Some Pride organizations are reeling: Businesses such as Mastercard, Pepsi, Comcast and more did not contribute to Pride events—in fact, San Francisco’s Pride organizations saw fundraising fall by $200,000. New York City’s Pride fundraising dropped by 20%, while Salt Lake City’s Pride fundraising is down by nearly half a million dollars.

Companies were more interested in supporting Pride events and their DEI partners when federal officials allowed DEI offices in corporations and on university campuses to skirt civil rights laws.

According to Forbes, corporate fundraising for DEI “peaked” between 2016 and 2022, which happened to cover much of President Joe Biden’s administration. That administration did not call companies, universities and other organizations to account for DEI activities that may have violated the Civil Rights Act, such as racial favoritism in hiring.
