An appellate court ruled the Trump administration can move forward with ending temporary deportation protections for thousands of Afghan and Cameroonian nationals.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is allowed to end the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 10,000 Afghans and Cameroonians while a court challenge against the move continues to play out in court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Monday. The court determined that while CASA — an immigration advocacy group suing DHS — has a plausible case, there is not enough evidence to block the TPS phaseout while the court challenge continues.

“We agree with the district court that CASA, Inc. has stated a plausible claim for relief with regard to the alleged ‘preordained’ decision to terminate temporary protected status (TPS) for Afghanistan and Cameroon, and that the balance of the equities and the public interest weigh in favor of CASA, Inc,” the court stated, according to court documents.

“At this procedural posture, however, there is insufficient evidence to warrant the extraordinary remedy of a postponement of agency action pending appeal,” the ruling continued.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a major change in sanctuary status for Louisville Tuesday morning as the administration continues its pressure campaign against Democrat mayors and governors for harboring violent criminal illegal aliens.

“In a major victory for the Department of Justice, the city of Louisville is dropping its sanctuary city policies as a result of a strong written warning from my office,” Bondi announced. “This should set an example to other cities. Instead of forcing us to sue you — which we will, without hesitation — follow the law, get rid of sanctuary policies, and work with us to fix the illegal immigration crisis.”

The news comes just one day after Border Czar Tom Homan said the Trump administration is going to “flood the zone” to find criminals in sanctuary jurisdictions across the country.

Now that the Immigration and Customs Enforcement budget is larger than those for most of the world’s militaries, they’ve got plenty of money sloshing around to hire 10,000 new agents, which will surely allow them to ratchet up arrests of harmless day laborers at Home Depot. But how to find those 10,000 new hires? ICE seems to be starting by begging retirees to come back.

A recruitment page on ICE’s website features the obligatory scowling Uncle Sam. Retired ICE agents who return are eligible for up to $50,000 in bonuses and can still receive their basic federal retirement annuity. In other words, for these rehires, taxpayers will be paying:

  1. Their base salary, which starts at $105,000 for ICE criminal investigators and nearly $89,000 for deportation officers.
  2. Federal health care benefits.
  3. Base federal retirement annuity.
  4. A stratospheric hiring bonus of up to $50,000.

That may seem like a steep price, but hey, how else to ensure that migrant children are left alone when their mothers are deported, or that immigrants are mistakenly deported? How else to ensure that ICE has enough agents to arrest migrants at courthouses after federal immigration judges, in collusion with government attorneys, drop immigration cases so that the migrant can be immediately arrested when they leave the courtroom?

Donald Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan cried to the media that a migrant doesn’t have to be a criminal to be arrested, detained and deported now because their immigration status decides if they are a criminal. This, despite the fact that being undocumented is not a crime; it’s a civil violation.

During the run up to the 2024 election, Donald Trump and JD Vance continually proclaimed that every migrant crossing the border were either serial killers, cannibals, murderers, or rapists.

These were the migrants he was going to deport.

Since racist Stephen Miller is in control of ICE now (basically the whole country really), Trump’s immigration policies require 80-year-old migrants, children playing on soccer fields, day workers, farm workers, and brown people in general to be scooped up by unmarked cars and balaclava-wearing masked men so they can be shipped off to alligator prisons.

This is Trump’s America.

Here is Tom “General Zod” Homan ranting during a presser earlier today.

ZOD: Then I read another story about how most people in ICE detention aren’t criminals. Now the story is, how bad of a criminal they have to be.

I saw a story the other day, only 1% of the illegal aliens removed were murderers.

Are you kidding me? Being in the country illegally is not illegal anymore, you got committed murder to be deported?

If you look at ICE detention, I’ll say it again, look at detention, who’s in detention, I looked at the numbers this morning, a majority are criminals, have criminal history.

Who are the rest? Border cases, who a judge ordered removed. The others are expedited removal, by federal statute, demands they be detained. So with the media out there, let’s try telling the truth about the men and women of ICE and the men and women of the Border Patrol.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in Chicago finally grabbed up an illegal alien from Mexico who murdered and decapitated a woman because Illinois Democrats kept releasing him every time he was re-arrested.

You read that right, Illinois kept releasing an illegal alien who perpetrated the brutal rape, murder, and decapitation of an Illinois citizen. Illinois Democrats are so sold out to illegal aliens over their own citizens that they won’t even let ICE deport a man who rapes and murders us.

This is where the Democrat Party is, folks.

Per Just the News:

Immigration law enforcement officers in Chicago arrested a Mexican illegal immigrant who was released by a judge following accusations that he decapitated a missing Illinois woman and stored her body in a container with bleach.

The Department of Homeland Security said that Jose Luis Mendoza-Gonzalez, 52, of Waukegan, Illinois, was initially arrested in April and charged with obstructing justice, hiding a corpse and abusing a corpse, according to a Fox News report.

Lake County Judge Randie Bruno released Mendoza-Gonzalez from custody following his first court appearance, Fox News reported.

The victim is Megan Bos, 37.

LUCIANO: Oscar works legally in the U.S. with Temporary Protected Status, driving horses across the country. He says TPS offers little protection from the threat of an ICE arrest and indefinite detention.

OSCAR: I feel like somebody is behind me, even I don’t do nothing wrong.

LUCIANO: To do his job, Oscar relies on this app called Coqui that shows him if ICE agents are nearby.

OSCAR: ICE presence in 15 minutes from here right now.

LUCIANO: He spotted ICE activity as he was hauling horses from New York City to South Carolina.

OSCAR: In this case I just have to take another road.

LUCIANO: Coqui is one of several apps developed recently to let immigrants know when ICE agents are nearby. Deputy Director of ICE Madison Sheahan told us she thinks the apps are dangerous.

MADISON SHEAHAN: Our issue becomes- is when they become violent and are asking people to go cause violence.

LUCIANO: So the apps are used to alert immigrants where ICE is. Those people are not going to be targeted.

SHEAHAN: Well, if it is impeding a law enforcement effort, that’s where that line comes in, as well.

LUCIANO: So who is behind developing these apps? We came to one farm in New York State to meet with an unlikely founder.

PETER: People feel like they’re being hunted.

LUCIANO: Peter, who asked us not to use his last name, runs an animal rescue and developed the Coqui app. Why did you decide to create this app?

PETER: There is the desire to protect the people that you love, but there’s also a very practical reason. We need help here, and we need workers to get to work.

LUCIANO: People weren’t showing up to work?

PETER: Correct. The people were scared to leave their homes.

President Donald Trump has ordered a formal investigation of his predecessor’s use of autopen signatures to sign a number of key documents throughout his tenure, including pardons. In total, the investigation is set to review more than one-million documents signed during the Biden presidency.

Officials familiar with the probe told Fox News that they already are reviewing tens of thousands of documents turned over by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). The White House Counsel’s Office is taking the lead on the probe, while the Department of Justice is also assisting.

A senior administration official told the outlet that they are not yet able to discuss findings of the investigation, though NARA has confirmed that more than 27,000 records have already been turned over to investigators.

“Joe Biden was the worst, most incompetent, and senile president in our country’s history,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told Fox News Tuesday. “It has been widely reported that Joe Biden handed the power of the presidency to an autopen controlled by unelected leftist staffers, who were allowed to make terrible decisions that destroyed our country.”

“The Trump White House is committed to finding the answers to the many outstanding questions the American people still have about how business in the Biden White House was conducted,” she said.

The Department of Homeland Security was feeling it yesterday—they took a former Biden official to the woodshed over this laughable, and frankly, beyond worthless, op-ed where they expound on –get this—fixing our immigration system. You cannot make this up. The entitlement these people have, as if we want to hear what those who allowed a four-year invasion to go unfettered have to say. Biden and his clown crew imported the third world, who terrorized our communities. We’re sending them all back.

The surge in illegal crossings at our southern border during the first three years of Joe Biden’s presidency was, by any reasonable definition, a crisis. The failure to acknowledge this reality and take timely action to try to resolve it cost Democrats a great deal of trust with American voters. It contributed to President Trump’s return to the White House.

Blas Nuñez-Neto, an assistant secretary for border and immigration policy at the Department of Homeland Security under the Biden administration, penned the piece titled, “I Was One of Biden’s Border Advisers. Here’s How to Fix Our Immigration System”:

I had a front row view of all this in my role as the assistant secretary for border and immigration policy at the Department of Homeland Security. I learned that the border crisis is, to a large extent, an asylum crisis: Our broken immigration laws have increasingly incentivized economic migrants to claim that they fear persecution in order to start a lengthy administrative process that allows them to remain in the United States and work. The political left typically refers to these immigrants as asylum seekers, because our laws allow them to make those claims. Many on the political right refer to them as criminals, because, they often say, crossing the border without documentation is a crime.

The fact that both views have at least some merit shows the dysfunction in our immigration laws. Only Congress can fix those laws, and until its members — from both parties — take action, the challenges at our border will continue.

Illegal entries at our southern border started increasing in the summer and fall of 2020 — when Mr. Trump was still in office. It turned into a tidal wave in 2021, even as Mr. Biden swung the pendulum too far to the left early in his term, including by announcing a 100-day pause on most deportations. I was in Del Rio, Texas, in September 2021 and saw the chaos that resulted when as many as 15,000 people amassed under the International Bridge.

In June, President Trump mobilized about 4,000 California National Guard troops and 700 Marines to deal with the violent response to the administration’s immigration enforcement operations around Los Angeles.

LA Mayor Karen Bass falsely claimed the “retreat” was in response to Democratic pushback.

“This happened because the people of Los Angeles stood united and stood strong. We organized peaceful protests, we came together at rallies, we took the Trump administration to court — all of this led to today’s retreat,” she said in a statement. “We will not stop making our voices heard until this ends, not just here in LA, but throughout our country.”

Federal agents killed a man after he fired at a Border Patrol facility in McAllen, Texas. The man had a rifle and was wearing tactical gear. One agent who returned fire was wounded but is in stable condition.

The shooter was identified as Ryan Louis Mosqueda. His motive is unknown, but investigators believe it was a targeted attack on Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a post on X that such attacks will not be tolerated.

“The Department [of Justice] has zero tolerance for assaults on federal officers or property and will bring the full weight of the law against those responsible,” Blanche said.

Border czar Tom Homan, who previously served as acting director of ICE, said on Fox News that attacks on ICE officers have increased since last year by 690% as of July 4. Homan cited Congress’s rhetoric as one reason for the increase in attacks.

“We have senators, we have Congresspeople, that compare ICE to the Nazis, compare ICE to racists, and it just continues. The public thinks, ‘well if a member of Congress can attack ICE, why can’t we,’” Homan said.

In 2024, from Jan. 21 to June 30, there were only 10 attacks on ICE agents, according to the Department of Homeland Security. In 2025, during that same period, ICE reported 79 attacks on agents. DHS said the increase is likely due to the speed at which the attacks occur, some of which go unaccounted for.

“Look, they’re your typical protester that go from protester to criminals,” Homan replied. “The attacks on ICE officers…is up nearly 700% now. We were talking 500% a couple of weeks ago, so it continues.”

Homan continued, explaining how the rhetoric coming from Democrats about ICE is inspiring some of the recent attacks on ICE agents. “The rhetoric against the men and women of ICE is skyrocketing, especially by members of Congress,” he said. “We have senators, we have Congress people that compare ICE to the Nazis, compare ICE to racists.”

The border czar continued, “So the public thinks, ‘Well, if a member of Congress can attack ICE, why can’t we?’ The rhetoric has to stop, or it’s a matter of time befor someone, one of the ICE officers goes down or a criminal goes down. We’ve already seen an officer go down.”

Minnesota faces federal lawsuit for offering illegal immigrants college tuition benefits denied to Americans

The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a complaint challenging laws in Minnesota that provide free and reduced in-state tuition to illegal aliens, claiming the laws are unconstitutional.

Under federal law, higher education institutions are prohibited from providing benefits to illegal aliens not offered to U.S. citizens.

According to the DOJ, Minnesota’s laws unconstitutionally discriminate against U.S. citizens and are in direct conflict with federal law.

“No state can be allowed to treat Americans like second-class citizens in their own country by offering financial benefits to illegal aliens,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said. “The Department of Justice just won on this exact issue in Texas, and we look forward to taking this fight to Minnesota in order to protect the rights of American citizens first.”

By filing the lawsuit, the DOJ is demanding that Minnesota stop the enforcement of a law requiring public colleges and universities to provide in-state tuition rates and free tuition based on certain income circumstances to immigrants in the country illegally who maintain state residency.

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer will proceed with evaluating Gov. Gavin Newsom‘s (D-CA) claims that President Donald Trump‘s use of the National Guard in Los Angeles violated a federal law preventing troops from being used for regular law enforcement activities, despite an appeals court ruling that Breyer could not pause the use of the troops.

Last week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit blocked Breyer’s previous pause on Trump’s federalization of the National Guard after Breyer said the president unlawfully took over it.

After the appeals court took jurisdiction over those claims, Breyer requested briefs from California officials and the Justice Department on whether they believed he could still rule on Newsom’s claims that the deployed troops violated the Posse Comitatus Act by engaging in civilian law enforcement activities. In an order filed late Wednesday evening in California, Breyer ruled that he has that authority and ordered some discovery to be permitted in the case.

“Both parties posit that the Court does retain that jurisdiction,” Breyer wrote in his order. “Upon review, the Court agrees. The Court may proceed with the case, including by hearing arguments on the propriety of a preliminary injunction on Posse Comitatus Act grounds and by allowing discovery.”

Breyer said he would consider a preliminary injunction on Newsom’s allegations that the Trump administration violated the Posse Comitatus Act following a timeline requested by California officials. Their briefing requested responses and depositions be completed by July 11 and a supplemental briefing be filed by July 15.

Law professor and political commentator Jonathan Turley recently weighed in on the Trump administration’s court battles over immigration policy.

After issuing a flurry of executive orders targeting illegal immigration, President Donald Trump was faced with a barrage of lawsuits coming from left-leaning organizations. The White House has had mixed results in the courts so far. But a recent Supreme Court ruling allowing the administration to continue deporting illegal immigrants to third countries (nations from which they do not come) has given it a substantial victory.

During an interview on “Fox and Friends” with host Lawrence B. Jones, Turley gave his analysis of the situation, saying the Supreme Court could give Trump another significant victory.

Jones brought up Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissenting opinion in the recent case. “Rather than allowing our lower court colleagues to manage this high-stakes litigation with the care and attention it plainly requires, this court now intervenes to grant the government emergency relief from an order it has repeatedly defied,” she said.

Jones pointed out that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) claims the deportees’ home countries will not accept them back. “Countries are not clamoring to get more felons to augment their home population,” he said.

ARREST HER, HOMAN: L.A.-Area Vice Mayor Encourages Gangs to Fight ICE– pjmedia.com

Did you hear the one about the Los Angeles-area vice mayor who (allegedly!) encouraged local gang members to “organize” against immigration control?

It’s no joke, but I’ll get back to that in just a sec after this important reminder.

It seems like just earlier this month [it was just earlier this month, Steve —Editor] that Tom Homan, President Donald Trump’s border czar, threatened to arrest literally “anybody” interfering with ICE roundups of illegal aliens.

“Every day in L.A., we’re going to enforce immigration law,” Homan said during the “resistance” to ICE raids almost three weeks ago — and not for the first time. “I don’t care if they like it or not.”

“I’ll say it about anybody,” Homan said when asked if that applied to elected officials. “You cross that line, it’s a felony to knowingly harbor and conceal an illegal alien. It’s a felony to impede law enforcement doing their job.”

Then there’s Cynthia Gonzalez, vice mayor of Cudahy in southeast Los Angeles County. She didn’t so much cross Homan’s line but launched herself across it in rocket-boosted roller skates, waving pom-poms, and singing, “Let’s kill some ICE officers, everybody!” with the combined vocal power of all Three Tenors.

“Not for nothing, but I wanna know where all the cholos [gang members] are at in Los Angeles,” Gonzalez said in a since-deleted video posted to social media. “18th Street, Florencia. Where’s the leadership at?… Now that your hood is being invaded by the biggest gang there is, there ain’t a peep out of you… Don’t be trying to claim no block, no nothing if you’re not showing up right now trying to help out and organize.”

It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to know what Gonzalez means when she tells street gangs to “help out and organize.” Those folks aren’t exactly known for their skills at printing protest signs and chanting.

There’s a word for armed resistance to legal authorities. Someone want to remind me what it is?

Does maybe Tom Homan want to remind Ms. Gonzalez?

Do we need to remind Homan?

The Department of Homeland Security is fully aware of the vice mayor’s video. The official DHS X account reposted it yesterday, calling her words “despicable,” and including a stern warning.

“This kind of garbage has led to a more than 500 percent increase in assaults against our ICE law enforcement officers,” DHS posted. “Secretary Noem has been clear: If you assault a federal officer, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

That’s nice, but enough with the stern warnings already. Regular lawbreakers are difficult enough for any government to deal with. But when government officials encourage lawbreaking — hell, not just lawbreaking, but urging violence against law enforcement officers — without ever being held to account, that’s real Fall of Rome stuff.

I can tell you with 100% certainty that MAGA world is just itching to see some perp walks. Just one would do, really, to get people’s spirits up. Seriously, fellas, we were promised some perp walks, and certain Democrats — I’m looking at you, Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and now Cynthia Gonzalez — are practically begging to spend at least the night in a local lockup.

The ball’s in your court, Mr. Homan — and so are the cuffs.

One of the most disturbing trends in politics since the 2000 election has been retired admirals and generals trading on their former military rank to meddle in partisan politics. The trend really hit its stride in 2008, when Barack Obama enlisted about 60 retired flag officers/general officers as campaign surrogates. Since then, Democrat presidential candidates trotting out tamed FOGOs to give them national security cred has become a standard, reaching a possible nadir when at least ten of them endorsed Kamala Harris and characterized Trump as “dangerous.”

President Trump’s well-founded decision to federalize a portion of the California Army National Guard (4,100 of a force of about 24,000) has caused another spasm of inappropriate political activity by retired generals. Several joined Gavin Newsom’s specious lawsuit attempting to limit Trump’s authority granted by Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution by filing an amicus brief. That case was demolished by a panel of the Ninth Circuit on Thursday; see Breaking: 9th Circuit Issues Stay Pending Appeal in CA National Guard Case, Handing Trump a Big Win.

One of their allies was granted editorial space on Fox News to spread what can only be called a disingenuous, bordering on overtly dishonest, description of the situation. Retired Major General Randy Manner essentially paraphrases the arguments in the amicus brief filed supporting Newsom’s push to institutionalize lawlessness in California. In his profile, he omits the small fact that he endorsed Kamala Harris, but full disclosure is for losers, anyway.

In a vapid op-ed headlined I led National Guard and regular Army units. Using the military to intimidate Americans is 100% wrong. Manner makes the extraordinary charge that the Trump administration is engaged in a “dramatic misuse of power and could lead to disastrous legal, operational and ethical outcomes.” So what are the specific instances of “misuse of power?”

The congressman claimed, without evidence, that federal agents are operating outside the law.

“We have ICE federal agents pulling up, terrorizing our communities, hopping out of unmarked vans, stealing, and yes, kidnapping people, not giving them their day in court, and yes, human trafficking them to other nations, other countries around the entire world,” Frost said.

“I like to be very clear about what’s going on right now so people understand that what is going on is, I believe, outside the bounds of the law.”

The Florida Democrat also falsely accused ICE of violating due process rights.

In a hearing on Wednesday, an attorney for a South Bend, Indiana sheriff argued the state attorney general can’t prosecute him for allegedly ignoring state law banning sanctuary cities.

The Saint Joseph County Police Department “has repeatedly released criminal aliens into the community” for at least a year, Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney General Blake Lanning told The Federalist. “That creates serious public safety risks.”

Rather than showing the police department is complying with state law by informing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of illegally present foreign criminals in their custody, Sheriff Bill Redman’s attorney argued Attorney General Todd Rokita has no legal authority to prosecute his agency for failing to comply. Redman lawyer Michael Smyth also argued that failing to cooperate with federal law enforcement does no injury to the state, a requirement for lawsuit standing, according to local news reports.

Recent polls rank illegal immigration as Hoosier voters’ no. 1 political concern, yet Indiana lawmakers declined to pass a robust immigration enforcement bill backed by the AG’s office this spring. Refusing to honor detainers is a typical component of sanctuary city policies. Local governments’ refusal to cooperate with federal immigration enforcement is a major contributor to the United States’s illegal immigration morass.

In fact, 80 percent of respondents in the poll support a plan to deport criminal illegal aliens, which clocks in at the second most popular overall policy proposal (of 15) after lowering prescription drug prices for the elderly and low-income Americans. When asked more specifically if respondents favored what the Trump administration is doing to achieve the deportations, 74 percent agreed, including 57 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of independents.

The fifth most popular policy proposal is closing “the border with added security and policies that discourage illegal crossings,” with 67 percent support.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said too many protesters were present on June 7 and officers deployed chemical agents multiple times. In a letter later to acting ICE Director Todd Lyons, Torres said she ended up in the emergency room for respiratory treatment. She also said the protest had been small and peaceful.

Torres is one of many Democratic members of Congress, from states including California, New York and Illinois, who have been denied entry to immigrant detention facilities in recent weeks.

Illegal aliens have got to go. I know you know this, but for those who think these people should say—cough* liberals cough*–they’re now attacking federal officials. United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III of the Northern District of New York escaped a knife attack from a deranged illegal alien from El Salvador who chased Mr. Sarcone through Albany. He was able to seek refuge in a Hilton lobby, where the assailant, Saul Morales-Garcia, continued to shout at Sarcone but later retreated. The US attorney then called the police, later walking back onto the street to get Morales-Garcia’s attention; Sarcone feared he’d kill an innocent bystander if he were allowed to slip away.

Morales-Garcia then turned around and charged at Sarcone again. By then, the police had arrived, and order was brought to the situation—a knife was recovered at the scene. Police say Sarcone’s actions to keep Morales-Garcia occupied with him probably saved lives (via DOJ):

Tuesday June 17, after leaving his office in downtown Albany, United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III was the victim of a life-threatening incident.  Saul Morales-Garcia, an illegal alien from El Salvador, who entered the United States in 2021 after a prior deportation, lunged at Sarcone while brandishing a knife and yelling aggressively in a foreign language Sarcone could not readily identify.  Sarcone ran to the lobby of the Hilton Hotel and Morales-Garcia stopped and still shouting in a foreign language turned and started to walk away.  Sarcone immediately contacted Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr.  Sarcone went back to the street and maintained a safe distance and yelled out to Garcia-Morales to gain his attention to prevent Morales-Garcia from disappearing as Sarcone believed an innocent person would be killed by Morales-Garcia.  Before law enforcement arrived, Morales-Garcia charged at Sarcone again screaming and yelling at Sarcone in a foreign language while wielding the knife to make a slitting-the-throat gesture at Sarcone. Sarcone again ran to the lobby of the Hilton where again Morales-Garcia stopped, turned and began to walk away but was apprehended when Sheriff’s deputies arrived.   Morales-Garcia was taken into custody and the knife was recovered.

Sarcone was physically unharmed, but emotionally rattled and stated, “I felt an obligation to the public as the chief Federal law enforcement officer in the district that includes the city of Albany.  I feared for my life but I couldn’t let this individual harm and potentially kill others.”

Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said: “U.S. Attorney John Sarcone’s selfless actions likely saved lives.”

Morales-Garcia was charged with attempted second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and menacing in the second degree and remanded without bail.  He made an appearance in Albany City Court yesterday and an order of protection was issued for Sarcone. Morales-Garcia may also face federal charges; the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Homeland Security Investigations are involved in the ongoing investigation.

Last weekend, liberal America decided to take to the streets for No Kings Day, a loser exercise which did nothing. We have no king, Trump is still president, and Kamala Harris still lost the 2024 election. The ICE raids will continue, so deal with it. It’s also extra hilarious since liberals wanted Obama to act like a king during his presidency. It’s not just little old biased me saying No Kings was a waste of time: Ruy Teixeira, a liberal commentator and political analyst, threw cold water all over this little protest, saying it’s not enough.

If you’re unfamiliar with Teixeira’s work, he worked for the Center for American Progress but was essentially forced out because his analyses made his fellow liberals angry, namely the Democratic Party’s hard shift to the Left and its denigration of the working class. Ironically, he’s now with the American Enterprise Institute, last time I checked.

On his Substack, he noted that Trump and the GOP’s popularity over the Democrats is the first death blow to this notion that ‘No Kings’ could evolve into a larger movement. The second is that core Democratic voter groups have all turned against the Democrats. Last, he cited David Brooks’ column about why Democrats’ odyssey out of the wilderness won’t be easy. Liberals find themselves on the opposite end of where social trends are going right now: they’re institutionalists in an era where everyone hates institutions. They’re elitists when voters view elections as a duel between the elites and everyone else. While David Brooks isn’t MAGA, he was spot-on in highlighting those structural flaws within the Democratic Party. Now, there were some things about Teixeira’s post that I disagreed with, but overall, he shined a light into how the Left doesn’t get it yet:

This time is different. This time, he’s gone too far. This time, voters will be roused from their stupor and massively reject the Bad Orange Man. If only it were that simple. Here are some reasons why it’s not.

They’re not popular but then again neither are the Democrats. Trump’s approval has gone down since the beginning of his second term, now sitting at 46.5 percent in the RCP running average (a point lower in Nate Silver’s average). But Trump is still running ahead of his approval rating at this point in his first term. And at this point in his second term, he’s actually running slightly ahead of Obama and Bush at this point in their second terms.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been a political fixture in the Golden State since the late 1990s, first serving on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 1997 to 2004 before serving as mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011. After that, he was elected as California’s Lieutenant Governor, a position he held for eight years until he was sworn in as the state’s Governor in January 2019.

He’s term-limited out now, with the next gubernatorial election to be held in 2026. Though there are murmurings about whether former Vice President Kamala Harris will jump into the growing field of contenders, Newsom’s focus is not on speculation about the candidates nor endorsements. Instead, he is rumored to have his eye on the ultimate prize for an entrenched, ambitious politico: the presidency of the United States.

“This was not really a speech about California, which, based on his record, he seems to care little about—this was his first real salvo in the ’28 presidential elections,” my colleague Bob Hoge wrote in response to the disastrous, lie-filled speech Newsom gave amid the LA riots. “He knows he’s watching his chances go up in smoke like an electric vehicle in downtown Los Angeles, and this was his desperate attempt to right the ship.”

A multi-agency task force assisted Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents with the arrest of a Guatemalan criminal alien during a targeted enforcement operation in Los Angeles. The criminal alien was deported from the United States after being sentenced to 36 months in prison for sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, officials stated.

U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks announced the arrest in Los Angeles of Guatemalan national Roberto Mateo. The Guatemalan man is illegally present in the United States after being deported from the U.S. in 2017. It is not clear when or where he reentered the U.S. but the federal task force located him in the sanctuary city of Los Angeles.

In a social media post, Chief Banks wrote, “He returned and thought he could hide in a ‘sanctuary city.’ We are here to send a clear message to criminals: We don’t care where you hide- We will locate, arrest, and remove you.”

Records indicate Mateo was found guilty in the United States in 2014 of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14, Banks reported. The court sentenced him to 36 months in prison. An immigration judge ordered his removal and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers deported him upon the completion of his sentence in 2017.

Despite the actions of anti-ICE protesters in Los Angeles, ERO officers also arrested Mab Khleb, a Cambodian national with a criminal history of lewd acts with a child, battery, and multiple drug offenses, ERO officials reported.

According to the data, nearly one million illegals have self-deported and gone back to their home countries where they belong since Donald Trump was elected to the White House for Trump 2.0.

You might remember way back in the neolithic age of 2012 that Mitt Romney was destroyed for saying that if the federal government tightened up immigration policies, many illegals would leave the U.S. voluntarily… i.e., would “self-deport.” Liberals blasted him for this claim.

Now that Donald Trump has finally been able put the idea into action, we find that Mitt– who was rarely right — actually hit that one on the head. So far, about a million illegals have gone home.

Per the New York Post:

One way to track the program is by checking employment numbers. One financial wiz cited by the Wall Street Journal calculated a decline in the immigrant population of 773,000 in the first four months of Trump II.

The Washington Post claims “a million foreign-born workers have exited the workforce since March.” The Post frames this as “a sign of the weakening labor supply.” Yet the paper also notes, “Average hourly wages accelerated, rising by 0.4 percent over the month, to $36.24 in May, as earnings continue to beat inflation in a boost to workers’ spending power.”

In other words, with fewer illegal immigrants, businesses had to raise wages to attract workers.

Leftists were evidently unable to persuade President Donald Trump to reverse course on deporting illegal aliens with their recent rioting, demonstrations, and attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

The president announced Sunday evening in a post on Truth Social that he was ordering ICE officers to lean into their mass deportation campaign.

“Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People,” wrote Trump. “ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.”

‘Large employers are more concerned than their counterparts about ICE/DHS enforcement.’

Trump indicated that success will depend upon an expansion of detention and deportation efforts in America’s largest cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, which he noted were not only temporarily home to millions of illegal aliens but “the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens.”

“The American People want our Cities, Schools, and Communities to be SAFE and FREE from Illegal Alien Crime, Conflict, and Chaos,” continued Trump. “That’s why I have directed my entire Administration to put every resource possible behind this effort, and reverse the tide of Mass Destruction Migration that has turned once Idyllic Towns into scenes of Third World Dystopia. Our Federal Government will continue to be focused on the REMIGRATION of Aliens to the places from where they came, and preventing the admission of ANYONE who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.”
