In 2023, after Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the far-right Oath Keepers militia group, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for his role in the January 6, 2021, attack on Congress, the Justice Department noted the stiff sentence reflected the court’s conclusion that Rhodes’ “conduct was terrorism.”

“The Oath Keepers plotted for months to violently disrupt the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next,” then–Attorney General Merrick Garland said. “The Justice Department will continue to do everything in our power to hold accountable those criminally responsible for the January 6th attack on our democracy.”

The man accused of planting pipe bombs outside the Democratic and Republican parties’ headquarters five years ago pleaded not guilty in a court appearance on Friday.

Brian J. Cole, Jr was arrested by the FBI at his home in Virginia in early December, and faces two counts of transporting and attempting to use explosives.

The suspect was indicted on federal charges this week, FOX 5 reported.

He allegedly admitted to planting the bombs, which failed to detonate, in downtown Washington, D.C. on the eve of the Jan.6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Blurb:

At a march held by dozens of supporters of the January 6 attack on the US Capitol, which included pardoned rioters, a brawl erupted after a counter-protester used a bullhorn to interrupt speeches. One attendee tried to wrestle the bullhorn out of the protester’s hands while she called those present “traitors”. Eventually, she was handcuffed by the police.

Many of those at today’s march, including Enrique Tarrio – the former Proud Boys leader who was convicted and later pardoned for his role in the January 6 insurrection – said that they were there to protest against the death of Ashli Babbitt, a rioter who was killed by Capitol police on the day of the attack.

Blurb:

There are commonsensical explanations for the FBI’s five-year delay in solving the January 5-6, 2021, pipe bomb case. But, as would be expected, the New York Times and other mainstream media chose to point to “right-wing” conspiracy theories circulating during the long investigative dormancy, rather than the blatant pro-Biden, anti-Trump FBI partisanship, which likely caused the delay.

To be sure, various conservative commentators, prominently among them Dan Bongino, had claimed that the failure to solve the case showed that the pipe bomb was just an FBI “setup” to smear Donald Trump for January 6.

This theory was not lacking in solid inference if one assumes a straight-shooting FBI not obstructed by a biased White House. Specifically, the Biden White House and Congressional Democrats, using their media megaphone, transmogrified the democratic January 6 protests into far more than the isolated, emotional ugliness they were. In short, the January 6 protest was an understandable populist reaction to an election for which any democracy worth its name should be ashamed.

Brian Cole, Jr. is in custody. He was arrested last week by federal agents in Woodbridge, Virginia, accused of being the January 6 pipe bomber, an investigation that has become a source of mockery for the FBI. Why couldn’t they find this guy? Well, for starters, he did not fit the deep state or the liberal media’s narrative. He’s black with slim political affiliations. He might be a leftist. He might not, but he’s unlikely to be MAGA; something the mainstream press has tried to peddle for days.

On Thursday, the FBI made a huge arrest, claiming to finally have the guy who planted pipe bombs at the DNC and RNC headquarters the day before J6.

After five years, this is a big story.

Hopefully, the suspect, Brian Cole Jr. really is the culprit and we will finally see justice in the case.

However, the arrest is raising a lot of questions.

For one thing: why now? After all these years?

What changed that led to this arrest?

We broke down everything we know so far in this report:

Big news is breaking this Thursday morning, as multiple sources are reporting that a Virginia man has been arrested for placing pipe bombs outside the headquarters of the Republican National Committee and Democratic National Committee on January 5, 2021.

Details are sketchy as of this writing, but this would be the first time federal law enforcement has made an arrest in the high-profile case that has seemed to baffle investigators for nearly five years. According to one report, the suspect is a man from Virginia and the arrest by the FBI took place Thursday morning. There is no word as of yet on the charges this suspect might be facing.

A news conference is expected to take place at the U.S. Department of Justice sometime on Thursday.

A new report based on the analysis of the gait of an individual who placed a pipe bomb in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 6, 2021, claims that the gait matches a former member of the U.S. Capitol Police.

On Jan. 6, 2021, pipe bombs were found at the the Republican and Democratic National Committees’ headquarters. The pipe bombs, which never detonated, were placed shortly before they became a small piece of the larger events of Jan. 6 that saw protesters enter the U.S. Capitol.

The new allegation was advanced by Blaze Media in a report published Saturday based on a software analysis of the suspect’s gait conducted for the outlet.

Blurb:

In the span of less than 10 minutes after a huge crowd of protesters filled the U.S. Capitol West Plaza beneath the inauguration stage on Jan. 6, Capitol Police repeatedly used lethal force on the crowd, targeting people in the head, neck, face, and upper body — actions one use-of-force expert called “criminally negligent.”

During that brief span, at least 16 people were shot with kinetic-impact projectiles, including nine who took shots to the top of the head, face, and base of the neck, according to Capitol Police surveillance video obtained by Blaze News.

‘We need munitions! Unload! Unload it all! Take ’em out!’

The rounds are designed to be shot at or below the waist or skipped off pavement to strike the legs and cause trauma and “pain compliance.” None of the rounds observable on the surveillance footage struck below the belt, putting all of the observable rounds in dangerous and potentially lethal territory.

Federal Air Marshal Describes How His Wife Was Put on TSA Domestic Terror Watch List After Attending Trump J6 Rally › American Greatness– amgreatness.com

The wife of a senior U.S. Air Marshal was branded a domestic terrorist and subjected to invasive monitoring after attending the Trump rally on the Ellipse in Washington D.C. on January 6, 2021, despite zero evidence linking her any unlawful activity on that day, according to a stunning new Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee report on the Biden administration’s weaponization of the Quiet Skies program.

“She was placed in the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database and, for two years, followed on domestic flights by Federal Air Marshals, who reported her movements and interactions, sometimes on a minute-by-minute basis. Her name was finally cleared only after the FBI closed its case due to mistaken identity,” Senate Homeland Security Chairman Rand Paul (R-Ky.) stated in a press release, Monday.

The Transportation Security Administration’s Quiet Skies initiative was launched in 2010 to monitor air travelers exhibiting suspicious behaviors or travel patterns, even if they were not on official watchlists. The now canceled program reportedly failed to prevent a single act of terrorism.

Tulsi Gabbard, a combat veteran and former congresswoman, now serving as Director of National Intelligence, was also surveilled on at least five flights in 2024, according to the report.

That surveillance reportedly began just one day after Gabbard publicly criticized Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.

The new GOP-led committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack is asking Attorney General Pam Bondi, the University of Virginia and other businesses for information from the previous Democratic-led panel that investigated the Capitol attack.

The Republican leaders claim the information they’re pursuing was never disclosed by the previous panel.

“This is an important first step in unraveling the predetermined narrative the former January 6th Select Committee crafted to hurt President Donald J. Trump,” Chair Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.) said in a statement. “Why else would their committee delete or fail to properly archive more than a terabyte of data?”

Many materials in the previous panel’s possession ultimately became public. But some were never released, including footage of witness interviews.

Loudermilk and other Republicans have maintained that the previous panel’s probe was politically motivated. In creating the new GOP investigation, Loudermilk intends to rewrite the record of the Capitol attack.

Jun. 2—AUGUSTA — Gov. Janet Mills has signed a new law creating an annual “day to remember” honoring democracy on the anniversary of the Jan. 6, 2021 attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

The law, signed Thursday, will require the governor to issue a proclamation each year on the date “honoring the resilience of democracy” and encouraging people to use the day to reflect “on the values of democracy, civic responsibility and the importance of protecting constitutional governance.”

The annual proclamation would also encourage educational institutions and libraries to observe the day with discussions, events and programming to educate people about the importance of civic engagement and the rule of law.

Mills condemned the Jan. 6 attacks at the time, saying that leaders across the country should denounce the violence and defend democracy, and that all Americans should work to restore honor and decency.

Five former prosecutors who worked on the effort to railroad those involved in the January 6, 2021, riot at the US Capitol Building have demanded an investigation into President Donald Trump’s pick to become Washington, DC’s new top prosecutor.

Ed Martin has won his share of controversy over some of the moves he made while serving as interim US attorney for DC, especially related to the J6 prosecutions. CNN reported that the former prosecutors are calling on the disciplinary office for DC attorneys to launch an investigation into Martin.

Martin, who has been serving in the post on an interim basis since Trump returned to the White House, is a divisive pick for the job. After stepping into the position, he used his new powers to dismiss January 6 Capitol riot cases, fire prosecutors who were involved in the investigations, go after his and Trump’s political adversaries, and launch internal reviews in an attempt to find misconduct within the office.

FBI agents suing the Justice Department to keep their names private amid a review of the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack prosecutions raised concerns Thursday that Elon Musk or others outside the department may have access to the information and could make it public, putting law enforcement officers at risk.

Lawyers for the agents pressed that case as they urged U.S. District Judge Jia M. Cobb to bar the government from any disclosure of the agents’ identities.

President Donald Trump pardoned nearly every defendant charged with crimes related to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021 after his predecessor issued pre-emptive pardons for the rest of the Biden family moments before leaving office.

The freshly inaugurated president delivered the pardons in one of his first acts upon his triumphant return to the Oval Office. The executive order granted “full, complete, and unconditional pardons” to roughly 1,500 people and commuted the sentences of another 14. The total number of defendants charged is 1,583, according to The Hill.

“What they’ve done to these people is outrageous,” Trump said at the White House as he signed a pile of orders across the Resolute Desk.

While the pardon eliminates convictions for those who already served jail time, Trump ordered any remaining prisoners still incarcerated to be released immediately just hours after he characterized his inauguration at the Capitol as “liberation day.”

GOP Report Refers Liz Cheney For Federal Criminal Investigation– thefederalist.com

House Republicans recommended disgraced ex-Wyoming Congresswoman Liz Cheney face a criminal investigation related to “witness tampering” as vice chair of the illegally established and since disbanded Select Committee on Jan. 6.

Previous documents released by congressional investigators reviewing the Jan. 6 panel’s work revealed Cheney coordinated with the Select Committee’s star witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, using the encrypted Signal app. The pair communicated to circumvent Hutchinson’s own attorney, Stefan Passantino, whom the Jan. 6 Committee ultimately targeted with an operation intended to strip him of his law license. Passantino was cleared of any misconduct following multiple investigations from ethics watchdogs.

In the House interim report released on Tuesday, GOP lawmakers led by Barry Loudermilk of Georgia cited Cheney’s communication with Hutchinson as a basis for referring the former congresswoman for a criminal investigation run by the Justice Department.

“Evidence uncovered by the Subcommittee revealed that former Congresswoman Liz Cheney tampered with at least one witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, by secretly communicating with Hutchinson without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge,” the House report read. “This secret communication with a witness is improper and likely violates 18 U.S.C. 1512. Such action is outside the due functioning of the legislative process and therefore not protected by the Speech and Debate clause.”

A report from Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz reveals there were 26 Federal agents larping as MAGA protesters, most of whom engaged in some form of protest action, including occupying spaces other Americans went to prison for also occupying. The report does claim the agents were not authorized to break the law, but skepticism abounds regarding such claims.

From the report, “Today’s report also details our findings regarding FBI CHSs who were in Washington, D.C., on January 6. Our review determined that none of these FBI CHSs was authorized by the FBI to enter the Capitol or a restricted area or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6.”

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz said there were more than two dozen confidential human sources (CHSs) in the crowd outside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, but only three were assigned by the FBI to be present for the event, while stressing that none of the sources was authorized or directed by the bureau to “break the law” or “encourage others to commit illegal acts,” Fox News has learned.

Horowitz on Thursday released his highly anticipated report on the FBI’s Handling of its Confidential Human Sources and Intelligence Collection Efforts in the Lead Up to the Jan. 6, 2021 Electoral Certification.

“Today’s report also details our findings regarding FBI CHSs who were in Washington, D.C., on January 6,” the report states. “Our review determined that none of these FBI CHSs was authorized by the FBI to enter the Capitol or a restricted area or to otherwise break the law on January 6, nor was any CHS directed by the FBI to encourage others to commit illegal acts on January 6.”

The report revealed that the FBI had a minor supporting role in responding on Jan. 6, 2021 — largely because the event was not deemed at the highest security level by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The officer that killed Jan 6 Protestor Ashli Babbit has a checkered past that includes numerous weapons violations and other disciplinary infractions. Captain Michael Leroy Byrd’s checkered past came to light after a congressional investigation led by the GOP discovered his history in Capitol Police Department records.

A congressional investigation found that the Capitol Police officer who carried out the only killing on January 6th, 2021 had a long history of disciplinary actions against him due to negligence and other shortcomings.

According to Just The News, the probe into Captain Michael Leroy Byrd’s record by the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee revealed that, among other things, the disgraced officer failed a shotgun qualification test, failed an FBI background check during an attempted weapon purchase, faced a 33-day suspension for losing his weapon on the job, and had been referred to state prosecutors in Maryland for firing his weapon at a stolen car that was fleeing his neighborhood.

The findings were summarized in a letter sent to Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger by the committee’s chairman, Congressman Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.). Congressman Loudermilk expressed his opposition to the decision to promote Byrd, who was a lieutenant at the time of the peaceful protests on January 6th, to the rank of captain following his actions.

“This Subcommittee is dedicated to ensuring USCP has autonomy from political pressures so it can make operational and personnel decisions,” said Loudermilk in the letter. “However, based on the information obtained by the Subcommittee regarding USCP’s handling of Captain Byrd following January 6, 2021, and his significant disciplinary history, I have concerns about USCP’s decision to promote him to the rank of Captain.”

Perhaps the most infamous pre-J6 incident in Byrd’s career since he came to public light was when he left his service weapon, loaded and unattended, in a public bathroom on Capitol Hill in 2019. For this, he was given a 33-day suspension. Shortly after the events of January 6th, Byrd failed a background check while attempting to purchase a shotgun; when he tried to receive a department-issued shotgun instead, he failed the training.

In 2004, Byrd fired his weapon repeatedly at a stolen vehicle as it was being driven out of the neighborhood in which he lived. And in 2015, a complaint was filed against Byrd for “conduct unbecoming an officer” after an off-duty Byrd confronted a fellow officer while the officer in question was working at a high school football game; the officer who filed the complaint said that the language used by Byrd, who is black, had racial overtones against the officer he harassed.

On January 6th, Byrd shot and killed Ashi Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran, despite Babbitt being unarmed. Video taken of the shooting shows Byrd aiming his firearm at multiple protesters, who were on the other side of a barricade, before choosing to fire at Babbitt; he did so without issuing any kind of warning, verbal or otherwise, and despite being completely unprovoked. While the mainstream media and Democrats have described Byrd as a hero, Republicans have denounced his hasty decision to use lethal force when none of the other officers resorted to such actions that day, and have demanded a proper investigation into his conduct.

An indignant Webster wanted answers, but instead got decked with a loaded left hook by DC Metro Police Officer Noah Rathbun, who had antagonized him with hand gestures seconds earlier and seemed to be challenging him to a fight.

A shocked Webster’s Marine Corps flag drops from his hands and the aggressive officer crossed over the gate to reengage with Webster, who waved him to stay away. After the 2020 Mass Mailer election, Americans protested the certification of an election that can never be verified on January 6, 2021. Since then, Biden’s anti-American Department of (in)Justice have arrested more than 1,000 Americans, and in 2024 they’ve only accelerated their illegal actions, having arrested 296 Americans, an increase of 23% over previous years.

Now that Trump is returning to power, let us hope an American-run DOJ prosecutes the illegal prosecutors currently engaging in violent lawfare in an effort to overthrow the American republic. “Just following orders” is not an excuse.

As voters went to the polls Nov. 5 — many motivated by the weaponization of government by the Biden-Harris administration against its political foes — the U.S. Department of Justice announced that the FBI made its 1,561st Jan. 6 arrest.

In its 46-month statistical update, the DOJ also said only one defendant received a sentence reduction based on the landmark 2024 Supreme Court ruling in Fischer v. United States. On June 28, the high court greatly restricted use of the controversial 20-year obstruction of an official proceeding felony charge in Jan. 6 cases.

‘All defendants charged in the January 6 prosecution have been charged with some form of trespass or disorderly conduct.’

According to the new report, the FBI made 296 Jan. 6 arrests during the first 10 months of 2024, a 23% increase. Since Nov. 6, 2023, the FBI has arrested 359 people, a 30% increase. Arrests are up 73% since November 6, 2022, the DOJ reported.

Of the 979 defendants who have pleaded guilty in Jan. 6 cases, 32% were for felony charges and 68% were for misdemeanors, the report said.

Of those who pleaded guilty to felonies, 169 were for assaulting law enforcement, 127 for obstructing law enforcement during a civil disorder, and 69 for assaulting law enforcement with a deadly or dangerous weapon, the DOJ report said.

Of the 1,028 defendants who have had their cases fully adjudicated, 63% were sentenced to incarceration; 14% were allowed to serve their sentences in home detention.
