DNC Violence

President Donald Trump and his administration have long been the targets of lawfare motivated by leftists, stretching back to his first term. Although Democrats have played semantic games to categorize these attacks as anything other than politically motivated, one lawmaker finally said the quiet part out loud.

Democratic Rep. Laura Friedman of California told town hall attendees Monday that she and her colleagues regularly gather in closed-door meetings dedicated to plotting legal attacks against Trump and his administration.

While this practice has become commonplace within the Democratic Party, congressional Republicans are doing what they can to put a stop to it.

“Every single week we have a litigation working group where a large group of us, and I’m talking there’s maybe 75 members of the House, sit down every single week with the [attorneys general] to talk about legal strategy,” Friedman said. “This is all going on every single week behind the scenes. It is nonstop.”

Friedman quickly diluted the severity of her admission by mentioning additional and more common avenues politicians use to attack each other.

“It is nonstop introduction of bills and legislation, nonstop being on social media as much as we can without being throttled, without the, you know, crazy analytics, and doing all these things,” Friedman said.

Resisting police is a violent crime. It has always been a violent crime.

I know some of you may think that the police are disagreeable folk, but be forewarned that no matter what you think of them, there is no such thing as “nonviolent” resistance to arrest. If you are under that misapprehension, I can assure you, no matter what your political persuasion, that you’ll be relieved of those misapprehensions in a right hurry.

You would think this would be common sense. Even if police sometimes use excessive force to subdue a subject, the fact that they have to use force on someone who’s resisting arrest should be a non-issue. That’s especially true when law enforcement officers are subduing someone who’s acting in a threatening way toward a public official who’s a known target.

I say these things not because they’re controversial, but because they shouldn’t be. On Wednesday night, those hanging around social media got a first-hand demonstration of why some people leave their common sense at the door when they don’t like someone.

The suspect charged with setting Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home on fire allegedly did so because of what the Jewish governor would “do to the Palestinian people.”

Cody Balmer told a 911 dispatcher over the phone why he lit Shaprio’s Harrisburg home on fire with his family inside in the hours of Passover night, PennLive reported, citing a search warrant. A district attorney has said the evidence could result in hate crime charges in a case that is sparking concerns about rising threats to government officials.

The warrant describes Balmer saying he “will not take part in [Shapiro’s] plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” PennLive reported. The suspect also allegedly said the governor needed to “stop having [his] friends killed” and that “our people have been put through too much by that monster.” The warrant reportedly said Balmer attacked the pro-Israel governor over his Jewish faith without elaborating.

College campuses and most especially the Ivies have become hotbeds of radicalism – terrorist hatcheries.

Pennsylvania Gov Josh Shapiro angrily called for an end to rising political violence just hours after a man broke into the governor’s mansion and set it on fire, forcing Shapiro and his family to flee into the night.

It was the latest in a string of partisan political attacks in the United States.

“This kind of violence is becoming far too common in our society. And I don’t give a damn if it’s coming from one particular side or the other,” Shapiro said. “It has to stop.”

While police have not said what might have motivated the attack early Sunday, court documents say the suspect admitted he hated Shapiro and was plotting to beat him with a hammer.

“The attacker basically wasn’t a fan of anybody,” President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday. “And certainly, a thing like that cannot be allowed to happen.”

The federal government says it’s freezing more than $2.2 billion in grants and $60 million in contracts to Harvard University, after the institution said Monday it won’t comply with the Trump administration’s demands to limit activism on campus.

In a letter to Harvard Friday, the administration called for broad government and leadership reforms, “merit-based” admissions and hiring policies, and an audit of the study body, faculty and leadership on their views about diversity.

The demands, which are an update from an earlier letter, also call for a ban on face masks — a measure that appears to target pro-Palestinian protesters — and pressure the university to stop recognizing or funding “any student group or club that endorses or promotes criminal activity, illegal violence, or illegal harassment.”

A New Mexico man was charged with federal arson crimes for allegedly vandalizing a Tesla dealership and starting a fire at the state’s GOP headquarters in Albuquerque.

Jamison Wagner, 40, was charged with two counts of malicious damage or destruction of property by fire or explosives. He faces up to 20 years in prison for each count if convicted.

“Let this be the final lesson to those taking part in this ongoing wave of political violence,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement. “We will arrest you, we will prosecute you, and we will not negotiate. Crimes have consequences.”

Wagner allegedly vandalized the Tesla dealership in February with various phrases, including “Die Elon,” “Tesla Nazi Inc,” and “Die Tesla Nazi,” along with swastikas, according to court filings. He also allegedly started a fire affecting two Tesla vehicles, significantly damaging one of them.

Protests and attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealerships have surged in response to Elon Musk’s involvement in the Trump administration.

The most critical issue facing America is an illegal alien gang member being sent back to El Salvador. At least, that’s what Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) act as if the fate of democracy hangs on. I’m sure you, an American, can think of at least five things more important, up to and including it being WrestleMania week. What most likely happened is that a progressive NGO funded by progressive billionaires settled on the gang member to be what progressives have to care about this week, and CNN said, “Sure, we have no self-respect.”

It’s not surprising that CNN’s Kaitlin Collins, when allowed to speak for some reason, would ask about the Democrat talking point du jour. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an illegal alien under a deportation order who had been staying in Maryland. He was removed and sent back to El Salvador. Democrats and CNN want him brought back to America. Collins asked Trump why he is being so mean.

Trump, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi, and Stephen Miller all took turns responding. They ran out of time for JD Vance to have his turn, so he shared his thoughts on Twitter.

Over the past two weeks, broadcast networks were utterly consumed by news of the Trump administration’s tariffs, to the degree that the topic took up more than a third of their flagship morning and evening newscasts’ total run time. Yet during that same time period, these networks spared barely any time at all to cover some of the positive economic news, such as the declining Consumer Price Index and a stronger-than-expected jobs report.

MRC analysts looked at all coverage of tariffs on ABC, CBS, and NBC’s flagship morning and evening news shows, from April 2 through April 11. During that time, these networks aired a jaw-dropping seven hours and two minutes of reporting about the Trump administration’s trade war, and all three surpassing two hours each. ABC led the pack with 148 minutes, followed by NBC with 144 minutes and CBS with 130 minutes dedicated to the topic.

Donald Trump is once again going to war with fake news as he continues to press legal actions against one of the most infamously biased mainstream media networks.

Trump, who originally sued CBS and its parent company Paramount last fall over a highly and deceptively edited Kamala Harris interview, which may have violated consumer protection law, is once again squaring up against CBS News, otherwise known as the Commie Broadcasting Service. Trump bashed CBS’s “60 Minutes” for segments critiquing his actions regarding Greenland and Ukraine. He slammed CBS as “a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ‘News,’ and must be [held] responsible.”

The new “60 Minutes” segment featured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who, instead of trying to make peace for the sake of his people, is apparently trying to resurrect the Russian influence hoax about Trump and his allies and demanding that Trump side with him explicitly, as Joe Biden did, instead of neutrally working to broker a deal between Ukraine and Russia.

Council on American-Islamic Relations calls charges an ‘attack on free speech’

A dozen pro-Hamas student activists who broke into and occupied the Stanford University president’s office last year officially have been charged with two felony counts.

The charges include vandalism and “felony conspiracy to trespass,” according to The Stanford Daily.

The Los Angeles Times reports the charges “appear to represent the most serious prosecution en masse to date in California of those arrested during demonstrations and encampments that roiled campuses last spring.”

During the takeover, activists had “barricaded doors with bike locks, chains, ladders and chairs,” “covered security cameras with tin foil,” broken windows and furniture, and scattered fake blood (pictured), all which caused approximately a quarter million dollars worth of damage.

According to law enforcement’s Statement of Facts on the case, activists’ cell phone data showed “detailed communication about the planning and commission of the occupation and vandalism.”

“I really think this will make Colorado safer,” Polis said before signing the bill at the state Capitol.

The Justice Department (DOJ) on Friday revealed it has charged a Pennsylvania man with threatening to harm and kill President Donald Trump, other U.S. officials, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.

Shawn Monper of Butler, Pennsylvania, was charged with the threats earlier this week after he allegedly made threatening comments on social media, and purchased guns to allegedly carry out the threats.

Monper allegedly made the posts under his username of “Mr. Satan” where the user commented in February that people needed to kill Trump, Tesla billionaire Elon Musk, and other Trump administration agency heads. In one message, he allegedly stated that he would “assassinate him myself.”

“I want to applaud the outstanding and courageous investigative work of the FBI and the Butler Township Police Department, who thankfully identified and apprehended this individual before he could carry out his threats against President Trump’s life and the lives of other innocent Americans,” Attorney General Pam Bondi said.

“Rest assured that whenever and wherever threats of assassination or mass violence occur, this Department of Justice will find, arrest, and prosecute the suspect to the fullest extent of the law and seek the maximum appropriate punishment,” she added.

There couldn’t possibly be a clearer example of media perfidy and dishonesty: back in May 2017, the Washington Post published a story about how President Trump supposedly urged Director of National Intelligence Daniel Coats and National Security Agency Director Adm. Michael S. Rogers to deny that there was any evidence that he had colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. There was just one catch: the story was false, and Rogers said as much to the FBI as far back as June 2017. Yet not only did the Post not take the story down; it’s still up, eight years later and long after the Russian Collusion hoax has been definitively debunked.

The story was one of many in the Post about Trump’s much-publicized collusion with Russia that won the Post the Pulitzer Prize. And apparently that was all that mattered. Truth? Accuracy? Integrity? Come on, man!

The story, along with the rest about the alleged Russian Collusion, sold papers, and made the WaPo seem as if it was once again on the cutting edge of investigative journalism. The Post was even fearlessly taking on a president of the United States, recalling the heady days of Watergate when Woodward and Bernstein bearded the wily Tricky Dick, became Redford and Hoffman, and made the Post into one of the leading newspapers in the left’s constellation of propaganda organs.

The opportunity to relive the glory days was apparently too much for the Post, and overrode all other considerations. As Matt Margolis noted Sunday, “it’s unclear whether the Post knew Rogers disputed their report before publishing it, but Rogers made it clear to investigators shortly afterward that the story was false.”

NPR routinely demonstrates wokeness with an anti-Israel bias. Saturday’s All Things Considered story by youth-politics reporter Elena Moore from the frontlines of the Israel-Hamas campus wars. She lamented how students are afraid of expressing pro-Hamas sympathies on progressive college campuses: “For some students who protested war in Gaza, fear and silence is a new campus reality.”

This, after NPR either ignoring or “both-siding” threats to Jewish students from those same now-suddenly terrified “pro-Palestinian” campus activists, since Hamas attacked Israeli civilians in October 2023.

Moore focused on the pseudonymous “Sam.” NPR loves playing up how dystopian America is right now by granting anonymity to all kinds of radicals. If you named “Sam,” one might be able to find her chanting pro-Hamas slogans or pro-Hamas signs about ending Israel or cheering October 7. Moore isn’t focusing on how much free speech there is in Gaza — where anti-Hamas protesters can end up dead.

Last spring, Cornell University was home to a student encampment, where dozens slept in tents on the quad to protest Israel’s war in Gaza. The demonstration lasted more than two weeks.

“It’s actually one of my most beautiful memories in Ithaca,” said a Ph.D. candidate at the school currently studying on a visa. She asked to be identified by the nickname Sam due to concerns over how she could be treated by immigration authorities if targeted for deportation.

Prof believes universities are ‘independent’ and ‘beacons of academic integrity and free speech’

The latest authoritarian hyperbole out of academia comes from an Arizona State University “teaching and learning innovation” professor and dean.

In The Conversation, Iveta Silova chides President Trump’s efforts to curb antisemitism and DEI on American campuses, claiming “many” universities are “widely seen globally as beacons of academic integrity and free speech.”

Silova (pictured), “a scholar of comparative and international education,” says the president’s strategy of pressuring universities has “a few historical parallels” … which just happen to include Nazi Germany and Stalin’s USSR.

In the former, Silova says universities “adapted” to the Nazis’ takeover of government, and once Hitler had control he “moved swiftly to purge academic institutions of Jews and political opponents” through such means as the “Law for the Restoration of the Professional Civil Service.”

It was “a pretty significant correlation,” Lorenz stated during an interview with Raichik. Raichik then noted that, after she was doxed by Lorenz, she “got tons of death threats this week after the entire media machine came after me. So are they responsible for those?”

No, Lorenz said during the February 2024 interview, telling her that she didn’t “think there’s, um, the same correlation.”

It’s worth noting, too, that Lorenz had gone on TV to cry about the horrors of online harassment … before doxing Raichik herself and leaving her to the wolves of the online horde, of course.

Democrat Senator for Arizona and former Tesla owner Mark Kelly has refused to label the string of violence seen against Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and vehicles launched in protest of Elon Musk’s work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as “domestic terrorism.” This comes after he himself sold his own Tesla to protest Musk and Trump.

When asked if the attacks against DOGE were terrorism, Kelly told Fox News, “Certainly vandalism and it’s a crime.” He added, “It’s a significant crime, especially if you’re going to firebomb a car or vandalize somebody’s vehicle or even key somebody’s vehicle. They shouldn’t be doing it. And these should be investigated. And if people are caught, they should be prosecuted.”

The 44-year-old Crockett has recently emerged as one of the most public faces of the Democratic Party during President Donald Trump’s second term, often taking the pulpit to be the loudest and most annoying voice speaking out against the current presidential administration.

Her entire schtick is to babble endlessly (oftentimes with a peculiar accent) while using a bunch of leftist buzzwords, but she does it with a sass and attitude that some people apparently find appealing.
