Zohran Mamdani will be the next mayor of New York City. It’s not shocking—we all knew this was going to happen based on the shambolic candidates the anti-Mamdani folks selected. His victory address was wild, quoting Eugene Debs, which riled up his supporters. It did not sit well with Van Jones last night, who felt it was a missed opportunity to moderate and not scare the hell out of roughly half the city that voted against him. But he also said that he’s young and pulled off a difficult campaign —did he, Jones? Given the opposition, this guy cruised to a win—the race was called quickly:

It was not a good night for Republicans on Tuesday. It was a blue tsunami that wiped out GOP candidates nationwide. From New Hampshire to Georgia, it was a killing field. In Virginia, Democrat Jay Jones, who wished death upon his GOP colleagues and their children, is now attorney general. In New York City, the Democrats opted to elect an unqualified socialist who hates first responders, wants free busing, and plans to make all corner stores government-run, essentially. CNN’s Scott Jennings issued a warning to the CNN panel that was gloating over the Democrats’ wins—they own this.

“I see the energy in Virginia Democrats looking the other way on a violent candidate for attorney general who says he wants to murder Republicans and their children. If you think you’re getting rid of Graham Platner in Maine now, think again. This is a terrible night for the national Democratic image given what is happening inside their party.”

Jennings pressed on: “Mamdani is an avowed socialist. It’s not what people say that he is. It’s what he says that he is. He’s now the leader of their party. That’s their energy and Chuck Schumer’s —”

Democratic New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani is set to take office on Jan. 1, 2026, but the 34-year-old self-avowed socialist will face significant obstacles in his transition from campaigning to governing, political analysts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Mamdani won Tuesday night’s mayoral election with barely a majority of the vote cast, receiving 50.4% of the vote, less than 10 points ahead of his closest rival, former Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who garnered 41.6%. Although he still came up short, Cuomo — who ran an independent campaign after losing the Democratic nomination to Mamdani on June 24 — outperformed multiple pre-election polls, some of which showed the socialist leading by as many as 25 points.

After the race was called in his favor, Mamdani took the stage at the Brooklyn Paramount Theater, where he delivered a heavily scrutinized victory speech in which he took jabs at both Cuomo and President Donald Trump.

Credit to The New York Times editorial board for pausing its longtime campaign to destroy the country, if even just for a day. Apparently the mayoral victory of a communist in its hometown is cause for some concern.

At the top of an editorial late Tuesday, the Times congratulated Zohran Mamdani for his winning campaign. Then the paper dove into a panicked plea for the Ugandan native to please, oh please not be everything he promised to be.

“In almost every area that featured prominently in the mayoral campaign,” wrote the Times, “Mr. Mamdani can improve life in New York by marrying his admirable ambition to pragmatism and compromise.” The paper told him to “start by building a leadership team light on democratic socialists and heavy on officials with records of accomplishment and proven management skills.”

I’m sure the little revolutionary will get right on top of that.

When a major media outlet says “pragmatism” and “compromise,” it means 2010-era Democrat preferences such as race quotas and high taxes on middle-income earners to fund “green energy” projects. But those are the very garbage policies that turned a once-great city into a dump, along with the brilliant 2020 Democrat trend of “defunding the police.”

… Covering the Mamdani jihad will be a giving a play by play of the on the road to Armageddon.

Swastikas were spray-painted on the facade of Magen David Yeshiva in Brooklyn’s Gravesend neighborhood and nearby Jewish sites on November 5, 2025, hours after Zohran Mamdani’s election as New York City’s first Muslim =ommunist mayor at age 34. The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incidents as potential hate crimes.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (NY-8), upon whom you could write volumes regarding things he’s unaware of, seems keenly in tune, at least, with the fact that the election of a full-blown democratic socialist as mayor of New York City is a messaging gold mine for Republicans.

The GOP already knows this. President Trump is well aware.

But the Democrat leader in the House is already laying down hints that he sees trouble on the horizon himself. Hence, the display we saw on Wednesday evening, where Temu Obama, as he is known, couldn’t have weaseled his way out of a question about Zohran Mamdani being the future of the Democratic Party fast enough.

“You had record turnout in New York City for this election. Would you say that Mamdani is the future of the Democratic Party?” a reporter asked as Jeffries and a host of party leaders held a press conference.

It’s pretty clear that Qatar’s government-regulated media thinks the Mamdani election is tied—positively—to the October 7 attack—something referred to as the Al-Aqsa Flood. This is the bloodthirsty, Jew-hating position Qatar is taking. You may think you’re safe from their Islamic holy war because you are not Jewish. But you’re wrong. They are coming for you.

MEMRI reports: Qatari journalist Abdullah Al-Amadi wrote on his X account: “What is happening in the U.S. is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the outcomes of the Al-Aqsa Flood. The American public has understood—after many long years of imposed slumber, in which Zionism played a role—that supporting injustice and oppression is a moral failure…. Ayman Azzam, a presenter on the Qatari Al-Jazeera network, shared a post by Somali social media activist Hiba Shukri that attributed Mamdani’s victory to October 7 and the boost it gave to the anti-Israel movement. Azzam commented: “The world is changing; The manifestations of the Flood have an impact” (MEMRI). Eitan Fischberger: Qatar has worked hard to pose as a close ally of President Trump. But in reality, the regime despises Trump, America, and the West. So it’s no surprise that Qatari officials and influencers couldn’t hide their glee over Mamdani’s win — and they’re making it about the Jews (Fischberger).

U.S. officials are increasingly moving themselves and their families onto military bases in response to rising threats from within that are connected to the usual Progmerican, DNC blue shirts threats. In addition to the DNC threats, the officials are also facing an ‘ongoing foreign threat.”

In response to this ratcheting up of threats, the Trump administration is building “a quick reactionary force” in every state through the National Guard to deal with the rising DNC blue-shirts threats. Some of the officials include, Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and Stephen Miller.

Blurb:

The Democrats have made politics a bloody battlefield.

Several top Trump administration officials have reportedly been relocated to secure military housing in Washington, D.C., amid ongoing Democrat violence, security concerns and threats directed at high-profile Trump and right-wing political figures.

Senior Trump administration officials, including Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Marco Rubio, Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard, have relocated to secure on-base housing near Washington, D.C., following harassment, death threats, and protests after the September 10, 2025, assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk. The Pentagon has ordered each state’s National Guard to form quick reaction forces of 500 troops trained in crowd control, operational by January 2026, to address potential post-election unrest.

Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk, Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh are just the most terrible examples that spring to mind……

Anti-Americanist Islamists from Dearborn, Michigan, the hub of activity for this people group, were prevented from carrying out a Halloween massacre on Americans in Detroit this past Halloween. Two men, Mohmed Ali and Majed Mahmoud intended on killing Americans on Halloween using AR-15 rifles.

FBI Director Kash Patel said, “The FBI stopped a potential terrorist attack in Michigan before it could unfold. Thanks to swift action and coordination with our partners, a violent plot tied to international terrorism was disrupted. This is what defending the homeland looks like — vigilance saves lives.”

Blurb:

For better or for worse, Halloween has increasingly become associated with darkness, the occult, and the macabre.

Due in no small part to the thankless work of the FBI, this year’s Halloween wasn’t nearly as dark or macabre as it could’ve been — and that’s objectively for the better.

According to Fox News, the FBI foiled an “ISIS-inspired terror attack” that would have involved a massacre in Detroit on Halloween. The plot was allegedly codenamed “Pumpkin.”

“Mohmed Ali, of Dearborn, Michigan, and Majed Mahmoud are accused of plotting to launch a terror-inspired mass shooting codenamed ‘pumpkin,’ according to court documents,” Fox reported.

“They’ve been charged with receiving, transferring and attempting to receive and transfer firearms knowing and having reasonable cause to believe that they would be used to commit terrorism.”

ABC News noted that, according to the FBI, multiple raids were conducted in the early hours of Pumpkin Day:

In the span of less than 10 minutes after a huge crowd of protesters filled the U.S. Capitol West Plaza beneath the inauguration stage on Jan. 6, Capitol Police repeatedly used lethal force on the crowd, targeting people in the head, neck, face, and upper body — actions one use-of-force expert called “criminally negligent.”

During that brief span, at least 16 people were shot with kinetic-impact projectiles, including nine who took shots to the top of the head, face, and base of the neck, according to Capitol Police surveillance video obtained by Blaze News.

‘We need munitions! Unload! Unload it all! Take ’em out!’

The rounds are designed to be shot at or below the waist or skipped off pavement to strike the legs and cause trauma and “pain compliance.” None of the rounds observable on the surveillance footage struck below the belt, putting all of the observable rounds in dangerous and potentially lethal territory.

One of the more noxious aspects of Zohran Mamdani’s campaign to be mayor of New York City is the reappearance of Linda Sarsour, the far-left, oxymoronically hijab-wearing “feminist” activist who rocketed to international fame some years ago as the hate-filled face of the leftist/Islamic alliance, glossing over the human rights abuses of Sharia and demonizing Israel with extravagant false claims long before doing so became the left’s favorite pastime. As it turns out, Sarsour has not been enjoying a comfortable, Soros-financed retirement; she has been working on what she calls “the quiet side” of the Mamdani campaign.

Quiet side or not, however, Sarsour has been loquacious of late, and what she has been saying should give every New Yorker pause, although it probably won’t. In an Instagram livestream that she posted on Saturday but later took down, Sarsour declared that she was determined to keep the pressure up on Mayor Mamdani to dismantle the Strategic Response Group, the NYPD’s counterterror unit, which is also responsible for policing protests. “If Zohran’s gonna be the mayor of New York City,” Sarsour vowed, “he’s going to shut down the Strategic Response Group, the SRG, which is what Zohran has committed to.”

Two bills recently proposed to honor slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Oklahoma college campuses have prompted debate, with some professors arguing the proposals go too far and run afoul of the very principles Kirk espoused.

One week after Kirk’s assassination, Oklahoma state Sen. Shane Jett, who leads the Oklahoma Freedom Caucus, introduced the bills to honor the memory and legacy of the Turning Point USA founder.

The proposals seek to require Oklahoma’s public institutions of higher education to honor Kirk’s birthday, Oct. 14, as Charlie Kirk Free Speech Day, and “designate and develop a prominent area on its main campus as the ‘Charlie Kirk Memorial Plaza.’”

If any student, employee or faculty member vandalizes the plaza, they would be terminated from enrollment or employment and fined for the cost of the damage, the OU Daily student newspaper reported.

I reported on the preview clips from the 60 Minutes interview that President Donald Trump did with Norah O’Donnell that aired Sunday night. The first two clips were not promising as to whether CBS made a change in how they will be approaching things. One was “What are you doing as president to end the shutdown?” It isn’t up to Trump; it’s up to the Democrats who are behind the government closure. O’Donnell also asked what Trump would do if China attacked Taiwan. Now, that seemed a pretty ridiculous question, because he’s not going to tell her how he would respond, and give away our plans. He made it obvious that it was not something that China would like, which is the only way to answer that question.

Texas Republican Congressman Brandon Gil has filed articles of impeachment against US District Judge James Boasberg amid revelations that the Obama-appointed activist approved secret subpoenas to seize private phone records of Senators in the sham “Arctic Frost” investigation.

It was revealed last week that the FBI and DOJ weaponized their power to target President Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and their allies to dig up dirt on Republicans and activists who participated in efforts to overturn the rigged 2020 election.

As previously reported, Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley said last week that “197 subpoenas were issued by Jack Smith and his team. These subpoenas were issued to 34 individuals and 163 businesses, including financial institutions.”

The subpoenas requested records and communications related to over 430 individuals and organizations – all aimed at Republicans.

This comes as the city of Portland and the state of Oregon recommit to their status as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants in the face of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal migration.

Several illegal aliens involved with the Tren de Aragua terror group were apprehended in Portland, Oregon, during a high-risk operation involving the illicit sales of drugs, firearms, and ammunition. The suspects, who were originally residing in Chicago, are believed to have moved to Portland just over a month ago in response to immigration enforcement operations increasing in the Windy City, federal investigators say.

US Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) breached a Portland apartment unit the group was suspected of using as a “stash house” on October 24, taking the ringleader into custody, along with seven other accomplices, all of whom are illegally present in the United States and have suspected ties to Tren de Aragua, according to authorities.

A federal judge extended an order barring President Donald Trump‘s federalization and deployment of the National Guard to Portland, as she prepares to issue a final ruling later this week.

U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut has continuously sided with Oregon officials over the Trump administration about whether the president lawfully ordered the deployment of the National Guard in September, further extending her order blocking the deployment of any troops to Portland through Friday.

Immergut held a three-day trial last week featuring testimony related to Trump’s claims that protests over federal immigration operations grew so unruly he needed to call in the National Guard to protect federal assets and officials. The federal judge said that while she is still reviewing the evidence and testimony from the trial, based on her early reading of the evidence, the administration’s claims of violence in the immediate weeks before the deployment were unfounded.

A nonprofit in New York City has been exposed in telling a journalist posing as a noncitizen to illegally vote in the mayoral election for Zohran Mamdani. An undercover journalist with O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) posed as an unregistered immigrant, and asked the nonprofit director how to vote, and who to vote for. The director of the nonprofit told the undercover journalist information that could help him vote as a hypothetical noncitizen and said that he should vote for the candidate starting with the letter “M.”

James O’Keefe posted the video to X, with the caption, “La Jornada Executive Director Pedro Rodriguez Tells Undercover OMG Journalist Posing as an Unregistered Migrant to “Vote for the Guy That Starts with ‘M’” – Despite 501(c)(3) Regulation Prohibiting Political Activity by Tax-Exempt Organizations. Rodriguez Acknowledges Knowing the Individual Is “Not Registered” Before Advising him How to Vote – a Potential Violation of Federal & State Election Laws.” It is illegal to vote in local NYC elections as a noncitizen, per Stateline.

A last-minute bombshell report is shining a harsh spotlight on New York City socialist mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani and raising fresh alarm bells over his record on antisemitism just hours before voters hit the polls.

Fox News Digital spoke with the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, which dropped the lengthy report late in the game. The group argues the far-left Queens assemblyman’s ideology and ties deserve urgent scrutiny.

“It is incumbent on voters to understand the ideological context that Zohran Mamdani comes from and espouses,” Charles Asher Small, founding director of the Institute, told Fox News Digital.

Blurb:

As Townhall reported last week, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) are using New York’s likely next mayor, Zohran Mamdani (and his campaign), as a blueprint for other races across the nation. Why? They believe they can use the Democratic Party as a springboard to enact socialist policies in America and topple our great nation in the process. They’re doing the same thing in Minneapolis with mayoral candidate Omar Fateh.

It’s alarmingly clear these radical socialists understand that all politics is local, and they’re pushing for more Mamdani-like candidates in places like Gulfport, Mississippi, Florida, and Texas.

Antifa has not yet been sufficiently violent in Portland, Oregon, that anyone other than sympathetic Portland police officers should be deployed to contain it, according to a federal judge.

In a Sunday night ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Karin J. Immergut blocked the deployment of the National Guard, which President Donald Trump wanted to patrol the streets of violence-racked Portland to protect federal immigration agents who have been the subjects of months of violent protests.

The judge, nominated by Trump, gave the city of Portland and the states of Oregon and California a preliminary injunction that will be in effect until her Friday ruling, according to KATU.

Immergut’s injunction tips her hand that she is likely to rule against Trump.

After months of declining to weigh in, President Donald Trump has revealed his preferred candidate in the New York City mayoral race.

“If it’s going to be between a bad Democrat and a communist,” Trump told CBS’ Norah O’Donnell, “I’m gonna pick the bad Democrat all the time, to be honest with you.”

New Yorkers will make that choice between socialist Zohran Mamdani and Democrat Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday. Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa also remains in the race. Mamdani currently holds at 13.7 point lead over Cuomo, according to the RealClearPolitics polling average.

Trump said he will withhold funding from New York if Mamdani becomes mayor.

Socialist Zohran Mamdani aims to win his New York City mayoral campaign by harnessing the strength of his volunteer army, which has set out to break the single-day canvassing record of over 200,000 doors knocked.

Mamdani has a robust ground game with support from the Democratic Socialists of America, which also helped Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) win election in 2018. His campaign had reached at least 5,500 volunteers on Monday, 1,000 short of their set goal of 6,500 for Sunday.

The 34-year-old wants to spread the word of his candidacy far and wide.

“Every single minute of the day, I am looking to speak to as many New Yorkers as possible. That means New Yorkers across the five boroughs and that means sometimes even in multiple languages,” Mamdani told reporters at a canvass launch in Harlem.

Dozens of people disrupted Washington D.C.’s Navy Yard neighborhood on Halloween night, prompting police to make multiple arrests and shut down several streets.

The Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of disorderly conduct at First Street and M Street SE on Friday evening. Officers arrested multiple individuals as they worked to disperse the crowd, according to DC Police Department social media posts.

Authorities closed M Street between 1st and 3rd Streets SE. New Jersey Avenue south of L Street SE was also shut down during the incident. Police provided an 11 p.m. update confirming the disorderly groups had dispersed. Officers maintained a large presence throughout Navy Yard as road closures remained in effect.

Conservative students report vandalism, protests at first meeting earlier this month

Students erupted in cheers after the Fort Lewis College senate voted this week to reject a request to recognize a new Turning Point USA chapter as an official student organization, according to a video of the meeting.

“Disappointing day for our college. They value ‘diversity’, but not diversity of thought. This will not stand,” the Fort Lewis TPUSA chapter wrote Thursday on X.

Senate President Asa Worthington announced the vote during the Associated Students of Fort Lewis College’s weekly meeting, describing it as a “difficult decision,” according to a video of the meeting, posted by Libs of TikTok. Fort Lewis is a public college in Colorado.

“In light of the opinions and concerns shared with us today on both sides of the discussion, … we have decided to deny Turning Point USA’s request to become an RSO1 at this time,” Worthington said.

The announcement resulted in cheers from a number of students in attendance.

CNN senior political commentator Scott Jennings predicted Tuesday that the victories of Democratic Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani of New York City and Attorney General-elect Jay Jones of Virginia would be bad for the “national Democratic image.”

Mamdani and Jones were among those elected Tuesday, defeating former Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo of New York and Republican Attorney General Jason Miyares of Virginia in a night that went well for Democrats in parts of the country carried by former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election. Jennings offered Democratic Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York his “condolences,” hinting that he was a big loser based on the results of the off-year election.

Blurb:

Well, with 95% of the votes in, Zohran Mamdani will become New York City’s 111th Mayor when he is sworn in on Jan. 1, 2026. The polls, the real polls, and the betting odds were all right. Betting markets, Kalshi put it at 93%, Polymarket at 94.6% and Marist University and Beacon Research polls all had a big win for the newbie socialist assemblyman from Astoria, Queens.

The fear that by not dropping out, Republican Curtis Sliwa would tip the election proved a mirage. For Andrew Cuomo, it was déjà vu all over again, to quote Yogi Berra. Or maybe it was like father like son. When Andrew Cuomo ran his father Mario Cuomo’s primary campaign for mayor in 1977, his dad lost with 45% of the vote. The winner in that race was Mayor Ed “how am I doing” Koch. By many accounts, it was a poorly run and, according to Koch, a dirty campaign.

Blurb:

Queens Assemblyman and socialist Muslim Zohran Mamdani won the New York City mayoral race with over 50% of the vote. Former Governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa took a combined 48.7% of the ballots with 91% of votes counted, meaning that even had Sliwa quit the race, Mamdani’s opposition would have fallen short.

Mamdani delivered a victory speech after Cuomo conceded the race in which he quoted socialists, leaned into identity politics, and made sweeping promises about a “new age” for New York. He mentioned the “new age” five times. That “new age,” he said, will deliver “relentless improvement,” defined by “competence and compassion.” He touted his win as a triumph for the “working people of New York.”

“The sun may have set over our city this evening,” he began, “but as Eugene Debs once said, I can see the dawn of a better day for humanity. For as long as we can remember, the working people of New York have been told by the wealthy and the well-connected that power does not belong in their hands… The future is in our hands, my friends, we have toppled a political dynasty.”

The full quote from Debs, founder of the Industrial Workers of the World and a socialist, was “I can see the dawn of a better day for humanity. The people are awakening. In due time they will and must come to their own,” and he delivered it upon being convicted of violating the Sedition Act.

Later in his speech, Mamdani quoted Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first prime minister after independence from Britain and an anti-colonial nationalist. “A moment comes, but rarely in history,” Mamdani said, “when we step out from the old to the new when an age ends and when the soul of a nation long suppressed finds utterance.” Those words were first spoken by Nehru in his Tryst with Destiny speech as India gained independence in 1947.

Mamdani said that the voters “have delivered a mandate for change, a mandate for a new kind of politics, a mandate for a city we can afford, and a mandate for a government that delivers exactly that on January 1, I will be sworn in as the mayor of New York City.”

Blurb:

… The results are in. Zohran Mamdani, Mikie Sherrill, Abigail Spanberger, Jay Jones, and, out in California, Prop 50 all won their respective races. Not unexpected, but admittedly disappointing. In looking at the quality of the winners, I’m more convinced than ever that if there is ever a true blue wave, they’ll all be arriving in one tiny car.

Of course, the leftist media will be having lots of fun rubbing this in over the next several months. However, as Kruiser points out in his Morning Briefing, there’s a bigger picture to consider.

Two of the races will make it nigh on impossible for the Dems to come up with a sales pitch to win back those who felt that the party had become uncomfortably extreme. Now the aforementioned commie jihadist will be front and center for the Democrats as the mayor of the biggest city in the country. Virginia Dems giving Jay Jones a pass for openly fantasizing about murdering Republicans isn’t going to make the case to flyover country Dems and independents that the party is making a return to normalcy. The only thing that they could have done worse in that regard is elect a drag queen serial killer to one of the offices up for grabs last night.
