Radical Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) has argued that sharp rhetorical “clapbacks” carry greater importance than strict accuracy in the current political environment.

Speaking with Vox interviewer Amistead Herndon, Crockett reflected on a prior verbal clash with then-Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) during a congressional hearing.

Crockett said Greene had a “bleach blonde, bad built butch body.”

Recalling the comment prompted Herndon to ask:

“As much as the phrase blew up, should we want our politicians to be clapback artists?”

“I think that in this moment you have to understand that politics has changed,” Crockett replied.

She continued by claiming Democrats are “viewed as the doormat for the Republicans.”

“[Voters] continue to say, ‘Where’s the opposition? Where’s the fight?’

This year may have barely begun, but it has already witnessed many threats to President Donald Trump and members of his administration.

Trump survived an assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024, and he faced another serious assassination attempt in West Palm Beach, Florida, two months later. The first assassin died in the attempt, and a judge sentenced Ryan Routh, 59, to life in prison plus 84 months last week for the second attempt.

A University of Minnesota education professor allegedly ran an “ICE drill” in class which included having selected students “shield” peers who might be targeted by the agency.

According to a Feb. 6 report by Alpha News, student “Angela” (who wishes to remain anonymous) claimed Professor Blanca Caldas conducted the exercise in her “Culture, Power, and Education” class, a required course for those seeking a degree in elementary education.

Angela said Caldas “began by putting up an image on the screen” about specific actions to take if ICE agents appeared at the door.

American skiers were buried under an avalanche of criticism Saturday after telling the world they are queasy about representing the United States.

“It brings up mixed emotions to represent the U.S. right now, I think. It’s a little hard. There’s obviously a lot going on that I’m not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren’t,” freestyle Team USA skier Hunter Hess said at a media event on Friday, according to Fox News.

“I think for me, it’s more I’m representing my friends and family back home, the people that represented it before me, all the things that I believe are good about the U.S. — if it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I’m representing it,” he said.

Freestyle skiers for Team USA at the Winter Olympics were slammed for criticizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and for saying they don’t represent ICE operations while wearing the flag.

Several people took to social media to criticize Hunter Hess after he and Chris Lillis tried to distance themselves from the Trump administration and ICE. As Breitbart News reported, Hess in particular stated that just because he was “wearing the flag,” it didn’t mean that he represented “everything that’s going on in the U.S.”

Freestyle skier Hunter Hess took his opportunity on the world stage to diss America, the country he’s representing, saying it was “a little hard” to be the face of his nation because of President Donald Trump’s efforts to clean up the illegal alien mess left to him by former President Joe Biden.

Historian raises concerns about universities teaching ‘victim’-focused, revisionist history

Philadelphia’s largest universities have been mostly quiet about plans to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary on July 4, although University of Pennsylvania has announced some classes and projects.

Drexel and Temple universities also have a few loosely connected exhibits and conferences, but none responded to The Fix‘s requests for comment about their plans.

Meanwhile, a historian who spoke with The College Fix raised concerns about universities portraying America’s first year as a country
