The Boulder, Colorado terror attack suspect planned on commiting a mass shooting over the weekend, however, he was stopped from obtaining a firearm due to his immigration status in the United States.
Illegal immigrant Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, who admitted he was planning to carry out the attack a year in advance, also told detectives that he was planning to make the attack a mass shooting. He had even taken a concealed-carry course to learn how to handle a firearm, according to the New York Post.
However, his attempt to purchase a gun was thwarted due to his status in the country illegally after the expiry of his visa, Boulder Judicial District Attorney Michael Dougherty said. Soliman, who is facing a total of 624 years behind bars, appeared in court on Monday afternoon, where he said he understood the orders placed against him involving the 12 victims. It was initially reported that there were eight people injured in the attack before four others came forward with injuries.
Soliman is facing 16 counts of attempted murder, which could result in a prison sentence of up to 384 years if convicted. He also faces 48 years for deploying two Molotov cocktails and another 192 years for allegedly attempting to use 16 additional incendiary devices found nearby. He has also been hit with federal hate crime charges.

Patel indicated that the uptick in potential threats against President Trump since Comey’s May 15 post has been so substantial that the FBI has had to redirect significant resources – including agents focused on child sex crimes and drug trafficking – to investigate them.
“Do you know how many agents I’ve had to take offline from chasing down child sex predators, fentanyl traffickers, terrorists .. because everywhere across this country people are popping up on social media and think that a threat to the life of the president of the United States is a joke … and they can do it because [Comey] did it?” the FBI chief said.
“Public officials must protect the inalienable rights of all citizens, regardless of their faith or religious beliefs.”
On Tuesday, Paula White-Cain, head of the White House Faith Office, issued a strong statement condemning the violent disruption by Antifa of a Christian concert in a Seattle park on Saturday.
“The White House Faith Office condemns the violent disruption of Seattle’s MayDay USA worship event,” White-Cain said. “We affirm the fundamental rights to free speech and religious freedom for all Americans, as protected by federal law. Public officials must protect the inalienable rights of all citizens, regardless of their faith or religious beliefs.”
Last Friday, Democratic press secretary turned MSNBC host, Jen Psaki had on former FBI director James Comey to talk about his new book, a fictional story that centered on a right-wing influencer who directed his followers to commit violence. Psaki used biased questions and responses to validate Comey’s outrageous claims that right-wing podcasters were like Islam extremists and were “white supremacist adjacent,” not just in his book, but in real life.

I think you’ve told me, you enjoy writing fiction. It — it’s fiction, but it centers around a right-wing influencer who directs his followers to commit violence. Which feels, it’s not exactly topical in this moment, but it feels like something we’ve been talking about for several years. What — what inspired you? This prompted Comey to suggest that right-wing podcasters were using the internet to reach and radicalize young men in a way akin to ISIS:

And this is a threat we’ve been dealing with since the Islamic State came on the scene in 2014 and was using the internet to reach troubled people and move them to violence. Well, that threat has now gotten much larger because podcasts are everywhere, and it’s a tool in white identity extremism trying to motivate young men. Especially to move towards violence because they’re being replaced, they’re being attacked, America is under assault. This is a real feature of the FBI’s work, and so I thought it would make an — a good setting for a crime novel.
A vandal who appeared to be a UCLA student recently spraypainted — in broad daylight — several pro-life signs set up on campus by pro-life organization Justice For All.
Justice For All published a video of a young man wearing a “UCLA Law” baseball cap using black spraypaint to cover images of unborn babies and pro-life messages. Onlookers — including one who said he himself did not agree with the pro-life messages — asked him to stop, but he ignored their requests.
“We’re having a discussion,” the onlooker can be heard saying in the recording.

Seattle is facing another public safety reckoning, and the city’s police officers are sounding the alarm. In a blistering interview on The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Seattle Police Officers Guild (SPOG) President Mike Solan took direct aim at Mayor Bruce Harrell, accusing him of putting officers in harm’s way by siding with radical activists over his police force.
The controversy erupted after Antifa targeted a Christian concert on Saturday. Antifa militants injured several Seattle police officers, but Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell blamed the violence on Christian worshipers. Solan said officers were left without proper support or recognition, claiming that Harrell appeared more focused on managing political optics than ensuring the safety of those on the front lines.
Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey — who really should be in prison, and if there’s any justice will be soon — seemed right at home with MSNBC’s Jen Psaki attacking Republicans as “white supremacist adjacent” after his little shell game was rightly denounced for the threat against President Donald Trump it represented.
In a grotesquely pandering interview more flaccid than Comey’s conscience, Psaki let the weaselly old Deep Stater do what he does best: lie. With the complicity of the former White House cover-up queen, Comey was given free rein to shrug off the violence implicit in his now-deleted “Cool shell formation” photo while shamelessly shilling his latest novel. Along the way, he worked his Comey over on a host of topics, taking aim at his political enemies like the conniving practitioner of politically weaponized justice he has long been. Not surprisingly, he saved much of his venom for the 47th president, whom, Comey is clearly “obsessed” with in a “weird way.”

A man was arrested at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Sunday following an alleged attempt to firebomb a branch office of the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv, the Justice Department said in a statement.
The man, named Joseph Neumeyer, is a dual American and German citizen and was detained in Israel on May 19 after a hostile confrontation in which Neumeyer spit on a security guard in front of the office earlier that day, according to the Justice Department.
The guard tried and failed to detain Neumeyer, who ditched the backpack he was carrying to break free, the statement said.
A search of the backpack he left behind at the embassy after the confrontation “revealed three rudimentary improvised incendiary devices commonly known as Molotov cocktails,” the statement added. Officials were able to track Neumeyer to his hotel, where he was arrested.
On May 19, Neumeyer wrote on Facebook:
“Join me this afternoon in Tel Aviv. We are burning down the U.S. embassy.”
“Death to America. Death to Americans and f*** the West.”
“We are killing Trump and Musk now.”
Leo Terrell, senior counsel at the Department of Justice, pledged to “review all leads” after a left-wing pro-Hamas influencer praised the murder of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington, DC, calling the attack an act of “resistance.”
Terrell’s post came in response to viral videos from Guy Christensen, a far-left Gen-Z TikTok creator with millions of followers, who openly celebrated the deadly shooting during a private event. Christensen referred to the gunman, Elias Rodriguez, as a “resistance fighter” and claimed the victims were part of a “genocide machine.”
In a since-deleted clip, Christensen said, “I do not condemn the elimination of the Zionist officials,” and called on his viewers to “support Elias’s actions.”
In reply, Terrell posted on X, “Will review all leads!”
Earlier, he urged Americans of all political backgrounds to stand united against escalating antisemitism, and called on the public to “join the Trump administration” in defending core American values.
‘To argue this is a threat against Trump is very dishonest,’ professor says
A climate professor from the University of Pennsylvania suggested the country is in “second amendment territory” if President Donald Trump does not comply with a federal judge’s ruling to halt the dismantling of the Education Department.
“If Trump doesn’t comply, we’re in second amendment territory,” Professor Michael Mann wrote on Bluesky on Thursday, prompting backlash.
Several high-profile observers took it to mean he was calling for armed resistance, and he has since deleted his post, Headline USAreported.
“The second amendment refers to the right of the people to rise up and defend democracy,” he wrote in a second post Friday. “To argue this is a threat against Trump is very dishonest.”
“Hi @FBI, this climate scientist and professor at @Penn appears to be calling to kiII Trump and Trump officials,” Libs of TikTok wrote on X in response to the post.
The far left is “cultivating” a “culture of violence,” Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) said during an appearance on Breitbart News Daily, discussing what she believes the punishment should be for Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ), who has been charged with assaulting law enforcement outside of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility.
Mace, relaying what happened, said multiple Democrat members of Congress, including McIver, “tried to storm into this ICE facility where they detain and hold illegal aliens who are rapists, who are murderers, who are child molesters to break them out of jail, I guess.”
“And she ended up shoving an ICE agent and other federal agents, physically assaulting them, to barge or break into this ICE detention facility,” she said. “Now, I got to tell you, we’ve had members of Congress that show up to facilities. We had Marjorie Taylor Greene and Matt Gaetz show up to review J6 folks who were in prison at one point, but they were peaceful, they were professional. They followed congressional protocol within their capacity. That’s not what this was.”

Just how bad is the waste, fraud, and abuse? Rubio revealed that under the old USAID model, only 12 cents of every dollar made it to the intended recipients. “That means that in order for us to get, you know, aid to somebody, we had to spend all this other money supporting this foreign aid industrial complex,” he said. Ro Khanna held a town hall in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, where controversy erupted after a speaker openly praised a convicted cop-killer currently on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists list. City Council Member Ce-Ce Gerlach praised Assata Shakur – who is on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List for murdering a NJ State Trooper – calling her a “freedom fighter.” Shakur, also known as Joanne Chesimard, was convicted of murdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973 and later escaped prison, fleeing to communist Cuba where she remains a fugitive.
“In the words of freedom fighter Assata Shakur, ‘It is our duty to fight for our freedom, it is our duty to win, we must love and protect one another. We’ve got nothing to lose but our chains,” Gerlach said during the town hall.
Khanna didn’t object to Gerlach’s remarks, and neither did Lamont McClure or Carol Obando-Derstine—the Democrats vying for the PA-07 nomination to face Republican Ryan Mackenzie—as both have remained silent and refused to denounce the comments.

People protesting a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event at the University of Washington in Seattle on Tuesday allegedly threw “literal human feces” at students checking in to hear a speech advocating against biological men competing in women’s sports.
The event, titled “The Fight is Far From Over,” took place Tuesday evening in the university’s Ethnic Cultural Theater and was led by Riley Gaines and Olivia Krolczyk. It was a public event open to anyone with a valid photo ID.
Gaines initially wrote on X that protesters at UW were chanting “God is trans” before updating her post with, “the protestors(sic) just threw *feces* at the @TPUSA students at check in. Literal human feces.”
Local media outlets reported that approximately 150 people were near the building protesting the speech. Many could be seen in social media videos waving transgender flags and holding signs – some vulgar – expressing opposition to Gaines and Krolczyk

“About 30 individuals who occupied” an engineering studies building were arrested and will be referred for prosecution, a university spokesperson said in a Tuesday statement. Videos posted on X by journalists showed black-clothed agitators leading the riot and calling for violence against police, the latest in a long line of unlawful outbursts targeting the university over its supposed financial ties to Israel.
“Death to the police! Abolish the police,” one protester yelled at officers outdoors as they cleared others from the building, according to video footage shared by Cam Higby on X. “Every cop death is a victory for the resistance,” a protester can be heard shouting.

Republicans tried to push Democrats to increase penalties for soliciting 16- and 17-year-olds for sex or prostitution. That crime is a misdemeanor punishable by between two days to a year in jail. Solicitation involves asking for or arranging sex in exchange for money or something valuable; a host of other sex crimes involving minors of any age are felonies, including paying for and having sex with a minor. This time, Republicans had the backing of freshman Democratic Assemblymember Maggy Krell, of Sacramento, who authored Assembly Bill 379. Krell objected on Tuesday when her colleagues removed the provision on soliciting older minors, saying fellow Democrats had forced her to agree to it on the threat the Public Safety committee would refuse to hold a hearing otherwise (Cal Matters).

A group of black bloc Antifa occupied the Interdisciplinary Engineering building and blockaded the doors. The building opened just a few weeks ago and the $100 million price tag was funded by private donors, taxpayers, a federal grant, Amazon, T-Mobile and Boeing.

Should it be a felony to purchase an underage minor for illegal sex?
For most of us, the answer is a very easy yes. This is not a hard one. You will likely encounter three dozen questions today or tomorrow that will be considerably more difficult to answer. Generally, if someone is asked if there should be severe legal penalties for underage sex trafficking, the response is an immediate, unhesitating affirmative.
Democrats in California feel differently. The state assembly there this past week considered a bill — AB-379 — that would have amended state law to make it a felony to solicit paid sex from “any person under 18 years of age.” In other words, if you seek out and pay a minor for sex — if you engage in child sex trafficking — you would be guilty of a felony.
This should have been an easy move for the assembly; the debate should have taken about 30 seconds and ended with a unanimous vote, passage to the state senate, and a quick signature by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The ink should have still been drying on the bill by suppertime on Wednesday.
