Russia deployed more than 120 rescuers, medics and sniffer dogs to Myanmar following a devastating earthquake that struck the Southeast Asian country on Friday, the Emergency Situations Ministry announced over the weekend.

The death toll from the 7.7-magnitude earthquake rose to more than 1,700 on Monday as more bodies were pulled from the rubble, the country’s military-led government, with thousands more injured and over 300 missing.

Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry, acting on orders from President Vladimir Putin, sent two teams to assist in search and rescue operations.

Myanmar’s state broadcaster MRTV reported Sunday that two Russian planes carrying rescue workers, ambulances and equipment arrived in the capital, Naypyidaw.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Race “a classic Soros tactic to identify … a weakness in society that can be exploited for other purposes”– legalinsurrection.com

We have covered the Wisconsin Supreme Court election to be held on April 1, and how it could swing the future of the nation if liberals hang onto their majority. It should be a highly competitive race, perhaps with a slight edge to the conservative, but both polling and people on the ground indicate the liberal is ahead.

Ahead doesn’t mean sure to win, but the left was involved in this race early on. The Republican tendency to fall asleep for special elections added to the sense of panic.

Kemberlee and I wrote an Op-ed at The New York Post which appeared this afternoon on the website, and will run in tomorrow’s print paper. We have pretty good placement on the homepage:

All eyes are on the Wisconsin Supreme Court election, where liberals currently hold a 4-3 majority. On Tuesday, voters will choose between a conservative judge, Brad Schimel, and a liberal judge, Susan Crawford, to fill a vacancy and possibly flip the court to conservative control.

What difference does it make? A lot — and not just in Wisconsin.

If liberals retain control, it is likely that the court will unwind the public sector union reforms enacted when Scott Walker was governor, something high on labor unions’ wish list for the past decade. Issues such as abortion are also on the agenda.

Article: Canada – 15,343 reported euthanasia deaths in 2023 (Link).

Bottone reports on Canada’s basic euthanasia statistics. He writes:

In 2023, 15,343 Canadians died by euthanasia or assisted suicide, according to the ‘Fifth Annual Report on Medical Assistance in Dying’. This marks a 15.8% increase over 2022 and represents 4.7% of all deaths in 2023. Since its legalisation in 2016, there have been 60,301 cases of assisted suicide and euthanasia cases in Canada that we know of.

British MP Changes Her Mind, Will Vote Against Assisted Suicide Bill– www.lifenews.com

Naz Shah, a Labour MP who originally supported assisted suicide is opposing the Kim Leadbeater assisted suicide bill. The UK assisted suicide bill passed at second reading by a vote of 330 to 275. The bill was debated in committee where there were 393 proposed amendments with only 32 of the amendments accepted.

Shah is one of many MP’s who support assisted suicide in principle but are opposing the bill. Opposition to the bill may be the reason why Leadbeater, the sponsor of the bill, recently stated that, if passed, implementation of the assisted suicide bill would be delayed until 2029.

David Maddox, the Political Editor for The Independent, wrote an article that was published on March 30. Maddox explains why Shah is opposing the assisted suicide bill:

A Labour MP who had originally been inclined to vote in favour of Kim Leadbeater’s assisted dying legislation has claimed that the bill now has weaker safeguards than when MPs voted on it in November.

Naz Shah spoke to The Independent in the wake of the laborious and, at times, tetchy committee stage of the controversial bill being completed in parliament last Wednesday.

The Bradford West MP, who served on the committee scrutinising the bill, had hoped that safeguards could be strengthened to make it workable but now claims the legislation is “fundamentally flawed”.

Maddox further reports on why Shah opposes the assisted suicide bill

…Ms Shah has said she is “very disappointed” and “disheartened” with the direction taken after hopes they could ensure the safeguards were robust.

She revealed: “Kim [Leadbeater] is a friend and when she first told me about the bill I was inclined to vote for it. But the more I looked at the details, the more concerns I had.”

Top among these were concerns over the way people who suffer from domestic abuse and have disabilities could potentially be coerced into ending their lives early. As someone who had suffered previously from domestic abuse in a forced marriage, these issues were important to her.

Ms Shah also made headlines during the process when she was forced to leave a session because her hearing aid batteries had run flat. An attempt to push through amendments had seen the session extended despite pleas from Ms Shah that she could not take part.

Crowd At Anti-Hegseth Town Hall In Deep Red District Reeks Of Astroturf– www.newsbusters.org

Sunday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Weekend featured a clip from a town hall in Indiana’s 5th Congressional District. In November, Trump and Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz carried the district handily: by 16 and 18 points, respectively.

Yet the crowd overwhelmingly and raucously cheered the suggestion that the congresswoman should demand Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s resignation, given the Signal chat that mistakenly included a journalist.

Co-host Symone Sanders claimed the cheering people were district “constituents,” and co-host Michael Steele took it a step further, saying they were Republicans. The show provided no evidence to support either statement. Did MSNBC make any effort to confirm the residence or registration of the crowd members?

Hypocrisy-proof Steele concluded the segment by saying:

“This sets up additional narratives, I think, for voters as well as journalists to dig a little bit deeper and find out a little bit more.”

Amen, Michael!

Stephen A. Smith won’t change the way he votes any more than Bill Maher or Jon Stewart will. It’s still entertaining and valuable when he calls out the left and the media (but I repeat myself) to a mainstream audience that wouldn’t typically hear such things. Like with SignalGate. And how the people calling for Pete Hegseth to be fired weren’t this outraged when the People Who Controlled Joe Biden Adminstration’s incompetence led to thirteen service members being killed during the Afghanistan withdrawal.

To recap SignalGate, National Security Advisor Michael Waltz, or someone working for him, “accidentally” invited anti-Trump jorunalismer Jeffrey Goldberg to a group chat about the Houthis being taken out. And because of Waltz’s f*ck up… the media and the left (but I repeat myself) still butthurt they couldn’t collect Hegseth’s scalp are demanding HE resign.

To be clear: Waltz SHOULD resign. This was a colossal f*ck up.

Stephen A., who is no fan of the Defense Secretary, thinks Afghanistan was worse.

We operate in a biased and partisan industry. Sometimes we can be unfair to the left, the media, and the People Who Controlled Joe Biden administration. I get that. It’s one thing for us to blame the previous team for Afghanistan. So here are the families of the servicemembers who lost their lives during the incompetent withdrawal blaming them.

The left and the media (but I repeat myself) weren’t upset about this. They didn’t call for anyone to be held accountable. Yet because a reporter was added to a group chat by the National Security Advisor, the Defense Secretary needs to either resign or be fired.

As fury mounts over the Trump administration’s leaking of classified military operations in an unsecure Signal group chat that included a reporter who did not have a security clearance, GOP lawmakers have continued to downplay the seriousness of the situation.

The ridiculous defenses—ranging from lies about the contents of the messages to conspiracy theories about how the reporter got added to the conversation in the first place—are even rankling some Trump administration allies, who told Politico that President Donald Trump and his team need to own up to the error, fire those involved, and end the controversy.

But that message has clearly not been heard by congressional Republicans, who are still defending the monumental fuck-up that risked U.S. troops who were carrying out an attack on a rebel group in Yemen—even as more details emerge confirming that classified information was shared on an insecure platform.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina, said that he stands by the Trump administration officials who were involved—including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who shared in the chat the exact timing of the forthcoming attack and the weapons systems that would be used.

“President Trump and his team have admitted that having a journalist in the group text was wrong, will be reviewed and falls in the category of ‘lessons learned’ so that it doesn’t happen again. I think President Trump has handled this matter well. Further, I believe that all the participants in the chat were under the impression they were using an appropriate and secure form of communication. This will also fall into the category of ‘lessons learned,’” Graham said in a statement.

The unlicensed driver police say fatally struck a mother and her two children in Brooklyn has been charged with manslaughter — just months after the wig-making social media influencer won a $2 million lawsuit against the NYPD, law enforcement sources say.

Audi driver Miriam Yarimi, 32, had a suspended license when she got behind the wheel Saturday afternoon, police said. She was headed north on Ocean Parkway in Midwood when she collided with a 2023 Toyota Camry with TLC plates making a right turn off Quinten Rd., police said

Yarimi then careened into the crosswalk, hitting a 35-year-old mother and her three young children, police said. The mom and her two daughters, ages 5 and 8, died on the scene, while the third child, a 4-year-old boy, was hospitalized in critical condition.

Yarimi’s Audi, which sports the vanity plate “WIGM8KER,” overturned in the crash, landing upside down. First responders had to extricate Yarimi from the luxury sedan before taking her to to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in stable condition.

On Friday, radical far-left Judge Amy Berman Jackson blocked the dismantling of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, once again overstepping her authority.

She’s one of the many rogue judges working to strip power from the executive branch.

Berman Jackson, like many of her Obama-appointed peers, has used her position as a District Court Judge to relentlessly target and harass Republicans and Trump supporters.

In February, after the Trump administration gutted the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Berman Jackson stepped in to halt the mass firings.

She also ordered the defendants to preserve all data and records.

Federal Judge Denise Casper Blocks Deportation of Tufts University Student Taken Into Custody by Federal Authorities– conservativeroof.com

A federal judge in Massachusetts on Friday blocked the deportation of a Tufts University graduate student who was recently taken into custody by federal authorities.

U.S. District Judge Denise Casper ruled that Rumeysa Ozturk, a 30-year-old doctoral student from Turkey, cannot be deported while Casper determines whether the court has jurisdiction over the case.

The Trump administration has been given until April 1 to respond to an amended petition and complaint filed by Ozturk’s lawyers, according to the two-page ruling.

“To allow the Court’s resolution of its jurisdiction to decide the Petition, Ozturk shall not be removed from the United States until further Order of this Court,” the judge stated.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has accused Ozturk of “engaging in activities in support of Hamas,” a U.S.-designated Palestinian terrorist group that launched the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

In her ruling, Casper cited the case of Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian graduate at Columbia University who was arrested and had his green card revoked earlier this month for allegedly leading activities aligned with Hamas. Khalil served as a lead negotiator for students during talks with university administrators over last spring’s pro-Palestinian protests on campus against Israel’s military response to the terrorist attack.

NO REAL CONSEQUENCES: Pennsylvania Man Charged With Misdemeanors After Carving Swastika Into Tesla– conservativeroof.com

Radical leftists across the nation have been vandalizing Teslas and torching dealerships, all fueled by their irrational hatred of Elon Musk. However, in a surprising turn, one of these unhinged individuals actually made it easier for law enforcement this week.

As NBC 10 Philadelphia reported, an unidentified male was caught on tape vandalizing a Tesla in the parking lot of a Planet Fitness in Doylestown Borough on Monday.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported the man responsible for the vandalism is 55-year-old Chadd Ritenbaug of Doylestown Township.

The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported that the suspect was captured on the car’s cameras parking next to the Tesla and exiting his silver Lexus. The video then shows him squatting behind the vehicle and carving a swastika into the Tesla just before 9:30 a.m.

But instead of fleeing, Ritenbaugh made another incredibly foolish move—one that would come back to haunt him.

After vandalizing the Tesla, Ritenbaugh walked into Planet Fitness, scanned his membership card at the front desk, and proceeded to work out as if nothing had happened.

Ritenbaugh’s decision allowed police to identify him through his gym membership card and Pennsylvania driver’s license photo.
