President Trump’s Education Department has just rescinded an onerous fine unjustly imposed by the Biden administration on a Christian university.

On May 16, Grand Canyon University announced, “The U.S. Department of Education (ED) has rescinded a $37.7 million fine, with prejudice, that was proposed against Grand Canyon University, clearing the university of any wrongdoing.” Many suspected the university was being targeted by the Biden administration not because of any major wrongdoing but because of its Christian affiliation, and that appears to have been a fair assessment.

The case dismissal from ED stated that “there are no findings against GCU, or any of its employees, officers, agents, or contractors, and no fine is imposed.” Despite Biden administration allegations, the Trump ED found that GCU did not violate any Title IV requirements, rejecting the assertion that GCU “substantially misrepresented” the prices of its doctoral programs.

GCU President Brian Mueller said, “The facts clearly support our contention that we were wrongly accused of misleading our Doctoral students and we appreciate the recognition that those accusations were without merit.”

Last week, a plane landed: 59 Afrikaners, mostly farmers, mostly white. Trump called it a genocide. MSNBC called it racism.

Turning away the persecuted because they’re the wrong color is not justice; it’s betrayal.

Just like that, we were off. Cue the outrage cycle, fearmongering chyrons, left-wing think pieces, and Twitter threads from soft-palmed theologians who wouldn’t recognize a plow if it hit them in the face. “This isn’t what Christianity looks like,” they screamed.

But that’s precisely the problem. Trump’s version of Christianity doesn’t look the way they want it to. It doesn’t speak in nonprofit euphemisms, hold committee meetings on climate equity, sing hymns to intersectionality, or check in with the Episcopal diocese before making moral decisions.

It does something far more offensive: It acts on behalf of people the professional Christian class has decided no longer count. In other words, white, rural, conservative Christians who don’t fit the preapproved narrative.

The family of Adriana Smith, a 30-year-old Georgia mother and nurse declared brain dead in February, is fighting to give her unborn son, named Chance, a opportunity at life.

Smith, who was eight weeks pregnant when she suffered a catastrophic brain injury due to undetected blood clots, remains on ventilators at Emory University Hospital Midtown, where doctors are working to sustain her baby at least until he reaches viability.

Smith’s mother, April Newkirk, shared an emotional update, noting that baby Chance is “doing better” with a strong heartbeat and developing limbs, offering hope amid their grief.

Newkirk told 11Alive that baby Chance “is actually doing better than the last time I met with the doctors. He has his legs, his toes, his limbs, heartbeat is good and strong…” — and they are hoping he survives. “The journey is for baby Chance to survive — and whatever condition God allows him to come here in, we’re going to love him just the same, and we’re gonna embrace him.”

The family, which includes Smith’s 7-year-old son, has embraced the chance to honor Adriana’s legacy through her unborn child, whom they see as a “second chance” for her life to continue. We want her life to continue through her children, Newkirk told reporters, emphasizing their desire to love and raise Chance, regardless of potential health challenges.

As nearly half the states battle the federal government to maintain discriminatory equity and inclusion practices in public institutions, billions of taxpayer dollars are at stake.

Nineteen Democrat-run states have sued the federal government rather than comply with the Trump administration’s enforcement of race and sex antidiscrimination laws for K-12 and higher education institutions. According to the data-tracking website Burbio, the risk of funding loss for schools is enormous.

In 2024, California received more than $2.2 billion in federal Title I funds. New York received nearly $1.5 billion. Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Michigan all received between $5 and $8 hundred million, Burbio found. All are part of the 19-state coalition arguing they should continue receiving these massive amounts while still teaching race and sex discrimination. These massive dollar amounts typically increase in the millions annually.

In a memo to states issued April 3, the Trump administration reiterated states’ legal obligations in exchange for receiving federal financial assistance and certification under Title VI of federal education code and the 2023 Supreme Court decision against racial discrimination Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard. The certification letter stated that “any violation of Title VI- including the use of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (‘DEI’) programs to advantage one’s race over another is impermissible,” and included a late April signature deadline.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has described President Trump as a “monster” for launching a federal investigation against him.

Speaking at a church in Woodlawn, Illinois over the weekend, Johnson said he preferred to hire black people because they are more generous than whites.

This has since led to Department of Justice opening an investigation into Johnson for racial discrimination.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Johnson said that Trump’s investigation was the result of his own racial animus:

As far as, you know, the president’s animus towards women, people of color, working people, we have always known who he has been. This is not a surprise. He’s a monster.

We have the most diverse administration in the history of Chicago, and he is threatened by that.

You can tell when someone is fearful is because they act out. We have a president that is screaming and having tantrums right now because we have an administration that reflects the city of Chicago, but he would much rather have administrations that reflect the country club. Period.

He is most comfortable around people who think and look like him.

A bill to add “an understanding of communist regimes and ideologies” to the Texas social studies curriculum passed in the state’s legislature Wednesday. It now heads to Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R-TX) desk to be signed into law.

It passed in the House 112-20 on Wednesday, after passing in the Senate in March. If the bill is signed into law, the Texas State Board of Education will revise its Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum for grades 4-12 beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.

Texas Senate Bill 24 was authored by Texas state Sen. Donna Campbell, and highly regarded by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who said the prioritization of the curriculum amendment was necessary “so history does not repeat itself.”

While Patrick’s statement when the bill was passed in the Texas Senate in March labeled it as bipartisan, several democratic lawmakers, such as state Reps. Vikki Goodwin and Jon Rosenthal, tried to get the bill amended to include the dangers of fascism, specifically Nazism, as well.

House Republicans delivered on their promise to defund Big Abortion on Thursday by passing the budget reconciliation bill that has consumed Washington’s attention for the past three months.

In the bill, the House GOP removed Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood, the largest provider of abortions in the country. The effort had been supported by dozens of pro-life legislators from around the country.

The move is a monumental win for pro-lifers because Planned Parenthood receives more than one-third of its overall funding from the U.S. government through grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. That translates to about $2 million per day, which taxpayers are on the hook for. Furthermore, taxpayer funding for the organization has been on an upward trajectory for about the past dozen years, having increased by 50% since 2013.

But the House reconciliation bill halts that trend by ending the flow of Medicaid dollars to Planned Parenthood, except in abortion cases for rape or incest. Planned Parenthood is also a major provider of hormones for so-called transgender transitions in the country, which means defunding it is also combating the organization’s efforts in that regard as well.

The left has destroyed gender specific places under the guise of inclusivity. And while it’s more common to hear about a male pretending to feel some type of way to gain access to the female locker room, it’s still a problem when it’s the other way around.

Three boys were filmed without their consent in the locker room by a female student who claimed to feel some type of way. Rather than the school defending the victims, the school has decided that they must be investigated, as they were not being inclusive enough.

7News has since exclusively obtained the video.

The video was shot by who they say is a biologically female student that uses the boys’ facilities because she identifies as male. That is permitted under the Loudoun County School Board’s Policy 8040.

The boys’ parents insist they did nothing wrong and are demanding to know why their sons are being investigated when the student who shot video in the boy’s locker room, which clearly violates school policy, is not facing the same scrutiny.

The military continues to restore itself as an honored and respected institution under President Donald Trump.

Last Friday, PBS News reported commanders will now be ordered to identify servicemembers who are transgender or have gender dysphoria, then send them for medical evaluation to remove them from service.

On January 27, Trump signed an executive order banning trans servicemembers, which the Supreme Court subsequently allowed.

Friday’s news is putting that ban into effect by ridding the military of men who think they are women or vice versa — otherwise known as the mentally ill.

These servicemembers can come forward voluntarily before June 6, with members of the National Guard and Reserve having until July 7.

The state faces a growing political divide over the issue of trans athletes in girls’ sports.

Illinois’ lawmakers addressed the topic in a heated back-and-forth on the floor of the state capital on Wednesday.

The state’s General Assembly members broke out into aggressive arguments over the issue during the session.

One Democrat lawmaker even made the unsubstantiated argument that laws to keep trans athletes out of girls’ sports would result in genital inspections of children.

That false argument was initially used in January by U.S. House Democrats who voted against the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act.

Delaware Governor Matt Meyer, a Democrat, signed House Bill 140 into law on Tuesday.

The new law, deceptively named “The Ron Silverio/Heather Block End of Life Options Law,” opens the floodgates for state-sanctioned euthanasia by allowing terminally ill adults to request and self-administer life-ending medication — with full government and medical backing.

This radical measure was championed by far-left Democrats Rep. Paul Baumbach, Rep. David Bentz, Rep. Eric Morrison, and Sen. Bryan Townsend.

Under the new law, once a mentally competent individual is diagnosed with a terminal illness and deemed to have six months or less to live, doctors and advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) are empowered to prescribe death-inducing drugs.

According to Delaware Public, the end-of-life medication may only be prescribed to a terminally ill patient after they make two verbal requests and one written request themselves — a legal guardian or healthcare surrogate is not permitted to make the request on their behalf.

A group of transgender activists raised a transgender pride flag Tuesday on the rock formation El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, California on Tuesday, according to a press release obtained by the Daily Caller.

The pride flag, at 55 feet by 35 feet, was the largest flag to be flown over the iconic rock formation, the project, called “Trans is Natural,” said. The action was done as an “act of solidarity” by a group of “transgender, queer, and ally climbers.”

A video published by a self-identified “environmentalist & drag artist” who goes by the name Pattie Gonia shows a group of rock climbers bringing the transgender pride flag up El Capitan and unfurling it over a crevice in the formation.

The U.S. Army is moving toward its aim of separating transgender soldiers from the service with its new guidance that deems tranny soldiers as “undeployable” and therefore, useless to the service.

The Army is ramping up its efforts to dump soldiers with gender dysphoria because it has been determined that the condition is medically incompatible with military service. Pursuant to that, the Pentagon has released a series of memos directing the services to identify and remove them — whether voluntarily on not.

The new directives are in compliance with Commander In Chief Donald Trump’s 2025 executive order requiring the separation of tranny soldiers.

Per Gateway Pundit:

On February 26, 2025, the Department of Defense issued a memorandum titled “Additional Guidance on Prioritizing Military Excellence and Readiness,” formally disqualifying individuals with a current diagnosis, history, or symptoms of gender dysphoria from military service. The policy states that such conditions are incompatible with readiness, cohesion, lethality, and integrity, and affirms that all personnel must meet standards without special accommodations.

Under Executive Order 14168, the Department of Defense defines sex as an immutable biological classification, male or female, and requires all service members to serve in accordance with their sex. This designation now governs compliance with military standards, including physical fitness, grooming, uniforms, and access to bathrooms, showers, and berthing.

WASHINGTON—The Federal Trade Commission is setting its sights on the industry pushing transgender medical procedures on minors, documents show a potential major step in the Trump administration;s efforts to crack down on radical gender ideology.

The FTC, an agency tasked with protecting American consumers, will hold a day-long workshop in July on transgender surgeries, hormones, and puberty blockers, according to an internal memo. That;s a likely indicator of the agency’s intentions: the FTC often holds such events before initiating legal action against an industry to gain information, gather evidence, and solicit the input of affected Americans.

“Under the Federal Trade Commission Act, the FTC is provided broad authority to protect consumers from unfair and deceptive trade acts and practices,” the memo reads. “There is now considerable reason to believe that the doctors and medical providers pushing [gender-affirming care] on minors are knowingly deceiving parents by exaggerating [gender-affirming care’s] ‘benefits’ and downplaying its harmful side effects.”

The Trump-appointed chairman of the FTC, Andrew Ferguson, reportedly pitched the president on using the agency to fight “against the trans agenda” before he was selected for the post, according to a document.

Ferguson believed the FTC could “investigate the doctors, therapists, hospitals, and others who deceptively pushed gender confusion, puberty blockers, hormone replacement, and sex-change surgeries on children and adults while failing to disclose strong evidence that such interventions are not helpful and carry enormous risks,” Punchbowl reported.

The U.S. Department of Justice has intervened in a legal dispute to support Grace New England Church, a small congregation led by Pastor Howard Kaloogian in Weare, New Hampshire.

The church has gathered for worship on Pastor Kaloogian’s five-acre property every Saturday for several years, using a renovated barn that the pastor has also offered to the community for a variety of secular events, including political rallies, backgammon tournaments, and weddings.

The government has never had an issue with any gathering held anywhere in town or on Pastor Kaloogian’s private property — until a Weare zoning enforcement official named Tony Sawyer saw a promotional flyer for Grace New England Church’s Saturday worship event. Sawyer then went, uninvited, to Pastor Kaloogian’s house and informed him that he would have to complete a site plan application and a conditional-use permit in order to continue holding religious assemblies on his private property.

The town has since delayed permit applications, subjected the pastor to repeated inspections of his home, and threatened to fine him.

As the U.S. Supreme Court considers whether parents have the right to opt their children out of reading books that promote gender ideology, a federal district court told a California school district that it cannot force children to read such books without parental notice and the opportunity to opt out.

The case centers on La Costa Heights Elementary School, located in the Encinitas School District near San Diego. The school runs a mandatory “buddy program” in which 5th grade students mentor kindergarteners.

Traditionally, this program involved art projects, gardening, and reading sessions — with books selected by the students themselves. Each week, parents received a newsletter detailing which book was being read in class.

The process changed when teachers selected My Shadow is Pink, a book promoting gender ideology. That week, no notice was sent to parents.

The book tells the story of a boy who enjoys wearing dresses and playing with toys typically associated with girls. Because he doesn’t “fit in,” his shadow is pink instead of blue. The central conflict revolves around his father’s initial discomfort and eventual embrace of his son’s pink shadow as not a phase but as a reflection of his “inner-most self.” By the end, the father joins his son and wears a dress.

A Christian youth camp in Colorado has filed a federal lawsuit against state officials, alleging that newly imposed gender identity policies violate its constitutional rights to religious freedom and free speech.

Camp IdRaHaJe, a ministry operating in Bailey, Colorado, since the 1940s, serves more than 2,500 children each summer through Christian-based programs and outdoor activities. The camp’s name is derived from the phrase, “I’d Rather Have Jesus.” Now, it finds itself at the center of a legal battle over the state’s licensing requirements for residential youth camps.

The lawsuit, Camp IdRaHaJe Association v. Roy, was filed on May 10 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. Named defendants include Lisa Roy, executive director of the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, and Carin Rosas, director of the Office of Early Childhood Licensing and Administration.

At issue is a Colorado regulation requiring licensed youth camps to allow campers to access bathrooms, showers, and sleeping quarters based on gender identity rather than biological sex. Camp IdRaHaJe argues that complying with the policy would force it to violate its sincerely held religious beliefs about human sexuality and gender.

Tristan Hopper reported for the National Post on May 21 that Luc Fernandez, who co-hosts a radio talk show on 98.5 Montreal told his audience, on May 15 in French that:

doctor-assisted suicide could be a form of “liberation” for the mentally ill.

Hopper reported that Fernandez also stated that:

Quebec should enshrine “comité de sages” (committees of experts) to authorize assisted suicide “in cases where, for example, someone no longer has any parents, people who were abandoned … people who no longer receive visits … no longer have any joy in life, they have no more interest in living, who live in permanent suffering.”

Montréal disability rights group RAPLIQ responded by accusing Ferrandez of promoting a eugenic ideology and stated:

“To speak of euthanasia with logistical calm, as if it were a measure of social efficiency, is to deny the value of different lives,”

“It is to slip down a eugenic slope, the very same that has led history into the abyss.”

“… I strongly believe now is not the time for another study. Now is the time for continued action that delivers results for the people we serve.”

Maryland Democrat Governor Wes Moore has vetoed a bill that would have created a commission to study and make recommendations regarding reparations for black residents, saying that it is “time to focus on the work itself” rather than another study.

“I applaud the legislature’s work on this bill, and I thank the Black Caucus for their leadership,” Moore wrote in a Friday letter to Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson. “Maryland is proud to be a state with the largest Black Caucus in America, our first Black Attorney General, our first Black Senator, a Black treasurer, and a Black Speaker of the House. We have moved in partnership with leaders across the state to uplift Black families and address racial disparities in our communities. That is the context in which I’ve made this difficult decision. Because while I appreciate the work that went into this legislation, I strongly believe now is not the time for another study. Now is the time for continued action that delivers results for the people we serve.”

Under the bill, the Maryland Reparations Commission would be established to “study and make recommendations relating to appropriate 21 benefits to be offered to individuals impacted by historical inequality,” and issue its final report and recommendations to the governor in 2027.

The Trump administration has fully implemented the defunding of the UNFPA that it announced back in March and announced today that no new funding will the directed to it. And the pro-abortion agency is unhappy.

As LifeNews reported then, Trump has ordered the defunding of the UNFPA, a United Nations population control agency which promotes abortions worldwide.

This is a continuation of his pro-life policy from his previous administration. In 2017, Trump signed an executive order defunding the UN population group because it pushes abortions on other countries and has worked with China for decades to implement its forced abortion population control policies.

Trump officials previously informed the UN Population Fund that nearly all of its grants would be discontinued. That defunding has taken place – with some $335 million in taxpayer funds yanked from the pro-abortion UN agency. Now, Trump officials have informed the UN group that new funding will not take place in future years.

Last week, Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, R, signed the “Riley Gaines Act” into law, prohibiting biological males from participating in female sports at public schools and colleges across the state.

The legislation also mandates that students use restrooms, locker rooms, and sleeping quarters that correspond with the sex on their birth certificates.

The act, officially known as Senate Bill 1, is named after former University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines, an outspoken advocate for protecting women’s sports. Gaines gained national attention after competing against transgender swimmer William “Lia” Thomas and has since campaigned for similar legislation in other states.

Kemp emphasized the importance of the new law in protecting the integrity of women’s sports.

“As the parents of three daughters, Marty and I know just how important it is to keep our children safe and to give them the best possible start in life,” Kemp said.
