French President Emmanuel Macron brushed off an incident involving his wife, where she appeared to aggressively shove him while disembarking a flight.

Macron’s office on Monday downplayed the altercation in which his wife, Brigitte Macron, appeared to shove him in the face as the couple arrived in Vietnam at the start of a Southeast Asia tour.

In the video, Brigitte’s hands can be seen pushing into his face while the president prepares to disembark from the presidential aircraft. Only her arms and hands are visible, which, clad in red sleeves, matched the attire she wore moments later when walking down the plane’s steps alongside her husband.

Palestinian groups slam the raids targeting exchanges in several cities in a widespread operation in the territory.

Israeli forces have raided money exchanges across the occupied West Bank, using live fire and tear gas as they stormed the city of Nablus, killing at least one Palestinian and wounding more than 30.

Exchange shops in the cities of Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron Arrabeh, el-Bireh, Bethlehem, Jenin and Tubas were attacked on Tuesday, residents said.

In the northern city of Nablus, Israeli soldiers raided a foreign exchange belonging to the Al-Khaleej company and a gold store, according to local media reports. They also fired smoke bombs in the centre of Jenin, and streets were closed in Tubas and Bethlehem in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The Ramallah-based Ministry of Health said one man was killed and eight injured by live ammunition during a raid in Nablus.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said it treated 20 people for tear gas inhalation and three injured by rubber bullets.

India moved to fast-track the development of an advanced new stealth jet on Tuesday after suffering embarrassing losses in air combat with Pakistan during the recent flare-up in tensions.

While both sides claimed victory in the brief conflict earlier this month, a massive air battle ended with Pakistan as the clear victor, downing at least three Indian jets at the cost of none of its own. This included at least one French-made Rafale jet, a plane considered one of the best in the world with a previous reputation for invulnerability. Unsatisfied with these results, New Delhi is now seeking to develop its own fifth-generation stealth fighter.

India’s state-run Aeronautical Development Agency announced it will shortly invite defense firms to develop prototypes for the new twin-engine stealth fighter.

So far, only the world’s three major powers have developed and possess fifth-generation fighters — the United States, which operates the F-22 and F-35; China, which operates the J-20; and Russia, which operates the Su-57. All have banned the export of these aircraft to safeguard their technologies.

Other countries, including Turkey, South Korea, Japan, and Sweden, have their own fifth-generation programs, but they are still in the development stage.

Has Beijing found a new “assassin’s mace” to keep the U.S. military out of a fight over Taiwan?

Ongoing debates over how China’s military would counter U.S. intervention often focus on precision strikes against U.S. forces in the Western Pacific. Indeed, some wargames assume that the People’s Liberation Army would throw the first punch. But such a move is not the only option available to China’s decision-makers. Other options include mounting a surprise invasion of Taiwan before the United States can mobilize, pressuring America’s allies to deny U.S. forces access to forward bases, or using strategic deterrence, which seeks to discourage Washington from defending Taiwan in the first place.

Of these options, pursuing strategic deterrence could prove most alluring for Beijing. The logic would be to convince the U.S. government that risks to the U.S. homeland, such as cyber attacks on power grids and telecommunications networks and even the specter of nuclear escalation, are too severe to contemplate. This strategy would leverage China’s expanding nuclear arsenal (and attendant nuclear signals), new intercontinental conventional missiles, space and cyber capabilities, and the belief that Beijing is inherently more resolved than Washington. Chinese leaders who embrace this thinking might conclude that a war could be limited, and thus, they might be more likely to opt for aggression.

EU Parliamentarian Petr Bystron delivers powerful speech in Brussels in defense of President Trump’s positions.

Petr Bystron is a member of the European Parliament from Germany.

Peter comes from the conservative AfD Party and represents Germany in Brussels.

Petr has been violently stalked and threatened by far-left Antifa goons in Germany. He does not let it slow him down. He is courageous and confident in his positions.

This week Petr Bystron spoke to the EU Parliament about the greatness of President Donald Trump’s popular agenda to “Make America Great Again.”

EU Parliamentarian Petr Bystron from Germany: Dear colleagues, “Make America Great Again,” is clearly a challenge to the world, to the EU, to Europe. Why? The American president looks after Americans. Surprisem Surprise! He wants jobs in the United States. He wants prosperity to return to the United States. He aims to bring industry back to the United States.

And what do I hear here? Trump, Trump, Trump! One man is enough to throw the European Union and Parliament into chaos!

Colleagues instead of complaining about Trump, you old parties should ask, “What have you done? When did you last fight for your voters like Trump does for his Americans?

In the 1950s and 1960s, professor Paul Samuelson was arguably America’s preeminent economist. His textbook for introductory economics was used at colleges and universities across the United States. He was a close adviser to President John F. Kennedy.

In 1961, Samuelson predicted that the then Soviet Union would overtake the United States in economic size somewhere between 1984 and 1997. By 1980, he continued to suggest that the Soviet Union would become the world’s largest economy within a few decades.

Obviously, Samuelson was wrong. He did not understand that extreme authoritarianism and the rejection of free market capitalism would consign the Soviet Union to the dustbin of history.

Today, however, other respected academics are making Samuelson’s mistake in their assessments of Communist China. They opine that in the current century, China will become the dominant global economic power. One researcher from Princeton University wrote recently in the New York Times that the battle for global economic superiority is being “decisively” won by China and that the U.S. is becoming economically irrelevant.

Despite admitting that white people were having their land taken by the South African government as racial retribution, the leftist extremists of ABC’s The View opened Thursday’s show by arguing that not enough white people had been killed fast enough for it to be considered a “genocide” as President Trump said. According to their ghoulish hate, any suggestion otherwise was “false conspiracy theory.”

“THERE IS NO GENOCIDE!” moderator and racist, Whoopi Goldberg yelled as co-host Sara Haines suggested that over 1,300 targeted killings of white farmers were not enough to care about:

It was false conspiracy theory. The fact that the president was — the president of South Africa was trying to share was that data collected by white farmers themselves, these are the white farmers, has counted 1,363 white farmers murdered since 1990, which is an average of 40 a year. Far less than one percent of total murders. The rest are all black people! So, there’s no genocide going on.

She followed up by admitting that the lands owned by whites was indeed being taken away from them as a form of racial retribution, but it supposedly didn’t happen often and they were supposedly offered money.

“The government will occasionally come to remedy some of the problems with apartheid that happened for 50 years in that country, they will come and with compensation,” she argued. “They will take the land occasionally back. So, what he did was took two little seeds and just like did his own thing with that. He was completely false and wrong!”

North Korean dictator Kim Jung Un was left fuming this week when he attended the botched launch of a new 5,000-ton naval destroyer.

The launch, at the northeastern port of Chongjin, was intended to tout the communist nation’s military advancement, but ended in embarrassment for Kim after the ship slid off a ramp and became stuck, state media reported.

The flatcar failed to move alongside the ship, throwing it off balance and crushing parts of the ship’s bottom, North Korean news agency KCNA reported. Its stern slid down the launch slipway, while its bow section failed to leave the ramp.

Harvard University has sued the Trump administration over Donald Trump’s decision to revoke the Ivy League school’s ability to enroll international students.

Reuters reports that in a complaint filed in Boston federal court, Harvard called the revocation a “blatant violation” of the US constitution’s first amendment and other federal laws.

It also said the revocation had an “immediate and devastating effect” on the university and more than 7,000 visa holders.

The administration’s severe escalation in its weeks-long showdown with Harvard would force more than 6,000 international students currently enrolled there to transfer to other universities or lose their legal status, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the leaders of France, Britain and Canada of wanting to help the Palestinian militant group Hamas after they threatened to take “concrete action” if Israel did not stop its latest offensive in Gaza.

The criticism, echoing similar remarks from Foreign Minister Gideon Saar on Thursday, was part of a fightback by the Israeli government against the increasingly heavy international pressure on it over the conflict in Gaza.

“You’re on the wrong side of humanity and you’re on the wrong side of history,” Netanyahu said.

As the flow of images of destruction and hunger in Gaza has continued, fueling protests in countries across the world, Israel has struggled to turn world opinion, which has increasingly shifted against it.

“It’s hard to convince at least some people, definitely on the far left in the U.S. and in some countries in Europe, that what Israel is doing is a war of defense,” said former Israeli diplomat Yaki Dayan.

Former leader accused of ‘treason, war crimes, [and] crimes against humanity’ for his support of M23 rebels in east.

The Senate in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has voted overwhelmingly in favour of lifting the immunity of ex-President Joseph Kabila.

In a secret ballot on Thursday night, the parliament voted by 88 votes to five to make Kabila liable for prosecution. The former head of state has been accused of treason for alleged links to the M23 armed group, which has taken control of swaths of territory in eastern DRC with the backing of Rwanda.

Authorities said earlier this month that Kinshasa had amassed clear evidence implicating him in “treason, war crimes, crimes against humanity and participation in an insurrectionary movement”.

Kabila, who denies any ties to the rebel group, stepped down after almost 20 years in power in 2018, yielding to protests. However, he enjoyed immunity from prosecution thanks to an honorific title as senator for life.
