Newly unearthed reports contradict previous claims made by Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz about his travel to China, including a claim that the Democratic vice presidential nominee traveled to China for a teaching position in 1989 during the Tiananmen Square pro-democracy protests that ended in hundreds of protesters killed by the Chinese government.
The discrepancy over Walz’s relationship to China comes ahead of Tuesday’s vice presidentialdebate in New York, where Republican allies of Ohio Sen. JD Vance have signaled that the GOP vice presidential nominee may use Walz’s history in China to attack his rival. Walz regularly organized and chaperoned trips to China during his time as a teacher prior to entering politics.
Walz had previously said he visited Hong Kong in “May of ’89,” weeks before the Tiananmen Square massacre in Beijing. During a 2014 hearing of the Congressional-Executive Commission on China honoring the 25th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square protests, Walz, then a Minnesota congressman, appeared to recall specific details of his trip to China at that time.
“As a young man, I was just going to teach high school in Foshan in Guangdong, and was in Hong Kong in May of ’89,” he said. “And as the events were unfolding, several of us went in. And I still remember the train station in Hong Kong.”
DID KAMALA’S 60 MINUTES INFOMERCIAL WAKE UP THE GOP? – After the highly edited interview CBS’ 60 Minutes conducted of Kamala Harris was released, it was obvious to everyone who had access to any of the raw footage the edits were designed to put Kamala Harris in the best light possible. In other words, this was an infomercial, an illegal campaign ad created by CBS for the DNC-CCP.
As many of our readers know, this writer has long been calling for GOP Attorneys General to prosecute the MSM whenever and wherever it continues to violate campaign finance laws, advertising laws, and more (including inciting violence). Now, Donald Trump may have fired the first shot across the bow of the MSM, calling for CBS News to be investigated after the obvious campaign advertising edits were applied to the aired interview.
Trump wrote, “I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the ‘News Division,’ which must be licensed, to make her look ‘more Presidential,’ or a least, better.”
Voting Machines in Dallas Fail Critical Test and No One Seems to Care! (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit– www.thegatewaypundit.com Source Link Excerpt:
It is outrageous to think that in a city the size of Dallas that voting machines would fail an initial validation test but that is exactly what happened. During the recent Logic & Accuracy Test, the Central Accumulator, the main tabulation computer that counts votes on election night, made serious tabulation errors for multiple Dallas County races.
Even more shocking is the lack of accountability or sense of urgency to fix the problem. If Democrats want to steal Texas, their path goes straight through Dallas and Houston. These issues must be rectified before Election Day.
Also, I will play for you a man who may be the worst, most evil Federal Judge in America, Matthew Barret. He sentenced former Mesa County Colorado Elections Clerk Tina Peters to nine years in Federal Prison for simply trying to expose election fraud. The judge called her a more dangerous criminal than the violent felons marched through his courtroom. You will hear his entire speech before laying down this outrageous sentence.
CBS’s Fake Kamala Interview Is Disinfo Meant To Sway Voters– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
In 2004, CBS News apologized and hired an independent panel to do an investigation after Dan Rather aired a bogus “October Surprise”-type story on President George W. Bush that was based on fake documents. The network was quick to recognize the potential damage that false reporting about a presidential candidate could do during an election, with the network firing the producer and Rather voluntarily leaving the network.
But while producing stories about political candidates that include inaccurate or manipulated material to interfere in an election was once considered career suicide, it is now standard editorial practice — if the propaganda press’ candidate of choice stands to benefit.
On Sunday, CBS News aired a clip of Vice President Kamala Harris stumbling through an answer to Bill Whitaker about why some foreign leaders disregard the Biden-Harris administration.
“We supply Israel with billions of dollars in military aid and yet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu seems to be charting his own course,” Whitaker said. “The Biden-Harris administration has pressed him to agree to a ceasefire; he’s resisted. You urged him not to go into Lebanon; he went in anyway. He has promised to make Iran pay for the missile attack, and that has the potential of expanding the war. Does the U.S. have no sway over Prime Minister Netanyahu?”
Intelligence officials say US adversaries are targeting congressional races with disinformation – ABC News Source Link Excerpt:
WASHINGTON — It’s not just the presidential election: Foreign governments are targeting House and Senate races around the country in their effort to meddle with American democracy this election year, intelligence officials warned Monday.
Russia and China have launched influence operations designed to help or hurt candidates in specific congressional races. Without giving specifics about the number of affected races, an official from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence said Monday that both countries have zeroed in on races where they believe they have a national security interest at stake.
Other smaller nations may be trying their own influence operations, officials said. Cuba is “almost certainly” trying to boost candidates that the Cuban government believes would support their interests in America, according to a report on foreign election threats released Monday, roughly a month out from the election.
The warning from intelligence officials comes during a particularly tight battle for the House and Senate, where control could be decided by just a handful of races. While much of the attention has focused on attempts by foreign adversaries to influence the presidential race, Monday’s warning underscores the threat that online disinformation also poses in state and local contests.
‘Buying Down Premiums to Buy Votes’– www.dailysignal.com Source Link Excerpt:
DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced in September that it would be reducing certain Medicare prescription drug premiums in what experts who spoke to the Daily Caller News Foundation called a ploy to buy votes before the November election.
Enrollees in the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit are slated to have lower average monthly premiums for their pharmaceutical drugs next year due to the Biden-Harris administration pouring billions into subsidies for insurers, with premiums set to fall $7.45 from $53.95 in 2024 to $46.50 in 2025, according to a press release from the agency.
The move by the Biden-Harris administration is a political bribe aimed at securing the votes of Americans aged 65 and over who have the highest voter turnout historically, experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
“The $2,000 cap [on Medicare out-of-pocket prescription drug costs], as well as other Inflation Reduction Act provisions were slated to triple the cost of Part D,” said Michael Cannon, director of health policy studies at the libertarian Cato Institute. “If millions of senior citizens see their premiums triple, they’d go to the polls and vote out those responsible. The Biden administration wanted to avert that.”
Minnesota election officials brace for vote count litigation, delays – minnpost.com Source Link Excerpt:
WASHINGTON – A chaotic election season isn’t likely to end on Election Day as challenges, slow counts and other problems are predicted to thwart a speedy decision on who has won the presidential race and other close races.
Elections are run by individual states, and there’s always been a difference in how quickly ballots are counted. California, for instance, is the slowest to tally results, and Florida the quickest.
But on Election Day 2024, other hurdles are expected in a presidential race that many analysts say is too close to call right now.
“Our work is not going to be done on election night,” predicted Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, president of the National Association of Secretaries of States (NASS).
Besides post-election legal challenges to results, which Simon and many of his NASS colleagues expect, there are a host of other issues that threaten to unleash chaos on Nov. 5.
“The post-election period is going to be key,” Simon said. “It will be as fraught or more so than 2020.”
39K Nevada Voters To Receive New Ballots Following Clerk Error– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Approximately 39,000 voters in Carson City, Nevada, will receive new ballots next week after an error by the clerk’s office mistakenly listed a third-party candidate as a Democrat.
The revelation came after the Nevada Appeal reported on Saturday that Carson City residents who received their mail-in ballots for the 2024 election discovered a mistake pertaining to the Silver State’s 2nd Congressional District. Lynn Chapman — a member of the Independent American Party — was incorrectly listed as a Democrat.
The mistake was not present on sample ballots, the outlet reported.
Nevada’s 2nd Congressional District is considered safe for Republicans this November, according to RealClearPolling. The seat has been held by GOP Rep. Mark Amodei since 2011.
New York law changing local elections to even years ruled unconstitutional – Washington Examiner Source Link Excerpt:
A New York judge ruled Tuesday that a state law that moves various local elections to even years violates the state constitution.
The law, signed by Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) in 2023, would have moved various local elections, except New York City elections, to even years, in line with congressional and state elections. Various localities in the Empire State challenged the law for violating the state constitution’s protections for local governments to determine how their governments are set up.
State Supreme Court Justice Gerard Neri agreed with Onondaga County officials who brought the legal challenge against the state.
“The prerequisites of a special law were not followed, and the subject matter of the Even Year Election Law is inherently a local issue as it affects no state offices. The Even Year Election Law is unconstitutional as specifically prohibited by Article IX of the New York State Constitution,” Neri said in the ruling.
LABOR UNION HOPES NON-CITIZENS WILL REGISTER TO VOTE IN UPCOMING 2024 ELECTION – The Laborers’ Union of North America (LiUNA) is hoping to find Democrat voters in Missouri among the recently imported de facto illegal aliens. The organization has been sending mail to “noncitizen migrant workers” that say “Stop the Steal by stopping Trump’s allies. Vote for Harris-Walz and pro-worker candidates.”
As a bulwark against this threat, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft told Fox2 “You can register online without any proof of citizenship. You can register without even and ID. Now, we have implemented in Missouri a requirement that no one is allowed to get a ballot, even if they’re registered, unless they have proven their identity at least once; so that is an extra check we have.”
US presidential election 2024: US top court rejects Republican lawsuit, allows mail-in ballot corrections in Pennsylvania – indiatoday.com Source Link Excerpt:
Pennsylvania election officials will be able to notify voters of any mistakes in their mail-in ballots and let them make changes, the state’s top court ruled, in a blow to Republicans who sought to block the practice in a state crucial to determining who will be the next US president.
In declining on Saturday to hear a lawsuit brought by the Republican National Committee and its state affiliate against so-called notice and cure procedures, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court said the RNC filed the case too close to the November 5 election, which pits Republican former President Donald Trump against Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris.
Pennsylvania is one of seven key battlegrounds likely to sway the state-by-state Electoral College outcome that determines the winner of US presidential elections. Whichever candidate wins Pennsylvania will receive 19 electoral votes toward the total of 270 needed for victory.
FRAUD: Democrats Pushing to Flood Election with 5 Million Fake Overseas Votes– lidblog.com Source Link Excerpt:
The Democrat Party has launched an initiative to flood the polls with nine million “overseas votes” despite the fact that feds say there are only 4 million eligible voters living overseas.
The Democrat voter fraud group called “Democrats Abroad” announced that it is looking to gather nine million votes from people they claim are citizens living overseas that are eligible to vote by mail in the 2024 elections.
The group, which describes itself as the “official Democratic Party arm” in charge of “mobilizing the overseas vote,” has put $300,000 toward the vote gathering project.
If this group does gather nine million votes, that number would far exceed the number of eligible overseas voters seen in 2016.
Voter Registration Group Giving Away Taylor Swift Tix Is Led by Eric Adams Operative—Who Was Convicted of Voter Fraud– freebeacon.com Source Link Excerpt:
A voter registration group aligned with Democrats is led by a political operative convicted of voter fraud who now works for indicted New York City mayor Eric Adams, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.
Civic Innovation Works, a New York-based nonprofit, is using a variety of tactics to turn out voters in battleground states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona, according to analysis of its Facebook ads. At the center of its efforts is a contest offering two tickets to Taylor Swift’s November concert in Indianapolis. To qualify, entrants are required to enter their personal information—name, physical address, email address, phone number, and date of birth—in order to “check” whether they are registered to vote.
“Taylor’s got a message: Register to vote! Check your registration status, and you could win 2 tickets to her Nov 3rd show in Indianapolis. Are you in?” the ad reads.
Civic Innovation does not publicly declare a party affiliation, but the Swift-themed contest appears aimed at getting Democratic voters to the polls, leaning into the pop superstar’s recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. Civic Innovation is running the contest in conjunction with TargetSmart, a prominent Democratic data firm, and Vote.org, a “nonpartisan” charity that has historically aligned with liberal causes.
Harris/Biden Admin Fighting Attempts to Remove Noncitizens From Voter Registries – RedState– redstate.com Source Link Excerpt:
The survival of any nation, any republic, like the United States, depends on defined, enforced borders and trustworthy elections. Right now, our republic has neither. Our borders have been thrown wide open to all and sundry since, oh, let me think, January of 2021, and now the Harris/Biden administration has filed a lawsuit against the sovereign state of Alabama over that state’s attempts to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls. This is a lawsuit that could have far-ranging implications.
On Sept. 9, the Department of Justice (DOJ) issued guidance seemingly threatening legal action against governmental authorities and election integrity watchdogs who might work with them to clean voter rolls, should they endeavor to do so within 90 days of Election Day. The Biden-Harris DOJ claims such actions would violate the so-called “quiet period” provision of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) of 1993.
Now, the DOJ has made good on that threat, filing a lawsuit against the state of Alabama that could have national repercussions. At issue is an effort initiated by Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen on Aug. 13 — some 84 days from Election Day 2024 — to inactivate and seek to remove non-Americans among a population of 3,251 individuals registered to vote in the state but who have been issued noncitizen identification numbers by the Department of Homeland Security.

2020 FAKE ELECTION WHISTLEBLOWER AND GOLD STAR MOM THROWN IN PRISON FOR 9 YEARS – Former Mesa, Colorado Clerk Tina Peters was sentenced to 9 years in prison for the crime of documenting evidence that the 2020 election Arizona’s Mesa County was fraudulent. She sought to preserve the security passwords of the county’s Dominion voting system to document how the system was vulnerable to outsider hacking.
Peters, 68, is also a God Star mother, meaning she lost a child to war who was fighting to serve the American republic. Her sentence of 9 years is more lenient than illegal immigrants get for beating up the police. Peters’ defense of her actions highlights the criminality of this illegal conviction and treasonous sentencing from Democrats abusing their government powers to serve the party, even if it means denying basic American Rule of Law.
She stated, “We have a secretary of state that is drunk with power. She makes emergency decrees and when we query her – she refuses to answer in violation of the state law. When I started having citizens come to me and tell me that something didn’t’ seem right in our local city elections from years ago to our 2020 election I said if there is a there we will do something about it. I am a Republican — I am a conservative and she’s not and she weaponizes her position to attack people who disagree with her. I’ve been persecuted. They are trying to take over our election office. We are the last bastion of freedom in Colorado,” the Mesa County. “We have listened to people. They send me things from all over and there are some discrepancies there that I cannot deny or unsee.”
Alabama moves to toss out DOJ lawsuit on purging noncitizen voter registrations – Washington Examiner Source Link Excerpt:
Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen asked a judge to dismiss a lawsuit brought by the Department of Justice that argued the state was removing people from its voter registration list too close to Election Day, according to a court motion filed Wednesday.
Lawyers for Alabama’s attorney general argued that the state’s decision to switch more than 3,000 voters to inactive status was a legal move after the DOJ argued Allen violated a provision of the National Voter Registration Act that implements a “quiet period” in the 90 days before an election.
The Alabama attorneys said the lawsuit should be tossed out because the DOJ, as well as private plaintiffs who are part of the suit, did not identify any violation of the NVRA provision.
The NVRA, a landmark bill signed into law in 1993, requires states to complete “any program the purpose of which is to systematically remove the names of ineligible voters from the official lists of eligible voters” before the 90-day quiet period begins.
Allen’s office identified 3,251 people on its voter rolls who could be noncitizens based, in part, on their alien numbers, which the Department of Homeland Security assigns to noncitizens, some of whom could become citizens.
RNC Sues Fulton County Elections Director for Refusing to Hire Republican Poll Workers — Only 15 Republicans Hired Out of Over 800 Election Staff | The Gateway Pundit– www.thegatewaypundit.com Source Link Excerpt:
Nadine Williams, the Director of Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections, allegedly excluded qualified Republican poll workers from the hiring process for the upcoming November 2024 election.
The Republican National Committee (RNC), along with the Georgia Republican Party and the Fulton County Republican Party, has filed a lawsuit against Nadine Williams, the Director of Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections.
The lawsuit alleges that Williams intentionally excluded qualified Republican poll workers from the hiring process for the upcoming November 2024 election, hiring only 15 Republicans out of 804 total election staff.
The lawsuit, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, seeks an emergency writ of mandamus, demanding Williams immediately appoint the Republican poll workers that were submitted for consideration.
Under Georgia law, political parties are entitled to submit lists of qualified individuals to serve as poll workers, and election officials are required to ensure balanced representation from both parties at polling places.
However, according to the lawsuit, the RNC and its affiliates claim that Williams has outright ignored their lists, violating the state law meant to ensure fair elections.
Out of 62 qualified Republicans submitted to work on election day, only 6 were hired. Similarly, of the 45 Republicans who applied for early voting positions, a mere 9 were selected.
According to the filing:
“As of the date of filing this Application for Emergency Writ of Mandamus, RNC, GRP and Fulton GOP believe that a total of 62 individuals on their list have applied with Defendant to work on Election Day. However, Defendant has only hired 6 of these 62 qualified workers.
A large percentage of these 62 qualified workers have never been contacted or have no idea of whether Defendant Williams intends to issue an order of appointment.
Based upon information and belief, Defendant Williams has found that 12 of the 62 individuals that are willing to work on Election Day are qualified to work the elections. However, rather than issue an appointment, Defendant Williams has put these qualified poll workers “on reserve.”
Defendant Williams has ostensibly placed the RNC, GRP and Fulton GOP’s list of qualified workers at the back of the line for Election Day work.”

DOJ accused of shielding ineligible voters after suing Alabama – Washington Examiner Source Link Excerpt:
The Biden Justice Department is facing accusations from Republicans of enabling noncitizens to vote in the 2024 election after it sued Alabama last week over the state’s recent plans for a voter roll purge.
A lawsuit was filed against Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen, a Republican, on Friday alleging he attempted to remove 3,251 people registered to vote from the state’s rolls. Allen said on Monday it was his “constitutional duty to ensure that only American citizens vote in our elections” but did not elaborate further, citing the lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Right-leaning groups such as America First Legal Foundation, founded by former Trump administration adviser Stephen Miller, accused the Biden administration of trying to “keep illegals on voter rolls.”

U.S. District Judge John A. Mendez ruled the law unconstitutional, stating in his ruling that the law was “a blunt tool that hinders humorous expression and unconstitutionally stifles the free and unfettered exchange of ideas. While California has a valid interest in protecting the integrity and reliability of the electoral process, AB 2839 is unconstitutional because it lacks the narrow tailoring and least restrictive alternative that a content based law requires under strict scrutiny,”
Michigan Requires Clerks Record Signature Verification After Suit– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has updated guidance to clerks after the Republican National Committee claimed in a lawsuit that officials counted thousands of improperly processed ballots.
The RNC sued Benson earlier this month, claiming her guidance caused officials to count “thousands” of ballots in the state’s primary without the legally-required markers showing signatures were verified, as The Federalist previously reported. Benson has since updated her guidance to clerks, telling them to indicate signature verification. The RNC said in a press release this was “in response” to its suit.
“The clerk must verify that the signature on a returned absent voter ballot envelope matches the voter’s signature on file,” reads the updated guidance. “Approval can be expressed by completing and initialing the portion of the ‘clerk section’ indicating that the signature was verified.”
Officials Can’t Say How NV Stops Abuse Of Online Voting System– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Nevada has used the “Effective Absentee System for Elections” (EASE) system to allow military and overseas voters to vote electronically for roughly the past decade. Since the 2020 election, the state has opened the EASE system to voters who are disabled or live on an Indian reservation, allowing them to vote online. But when asked how officials ensure the system is only used by eligible voters, the office of Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar could only point to each voter’s word.
Nevada’s EASE system is “an online application that seamlessly integrates voter registration and electronic ballot delivery and marking.” EASE is described as “the first entirely online application, from registration to requesting a ballot to ballot delivery to a ballot marking system using a digital/electronic signature,” according to the secretary of state’s website.
Voters who are registered with EASE can use an electronic image that is already on file with the county or state to “mark a digital image of their ballot and return their ballot submission electronically, negating the requirement of printing and signing the ballot before returning it,” according to the secretary of state’s website. Gabriel Di Chiara, the secretary of state’s chief deputy, said the program “is entirely secure,” according to Nevada Current.

Judge bars Arizona official from enforcing disputed election rules – Arizona Daily Star Source Link Excerpt:
Calling what Secretary of State Adrian Fontes proposed “utterly without precedent’’ and comparing it to a nuclear weapon, a federal judge blocked him from refusing to include a county’s vote in the statewide totals if local supervisors fail to certify the election’s results.
In the ruling late Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Michael Liburdi acknowledged there was at least one attempt in the past by a board of supervisors to delay certification. That action threatened to hold up the formal canvass of all the votes throughout the state and to change the outcomes of some races.
But Liburdi said the solution Fontes incorporated in Arizona’s Elections Procedures Manual — allowing him to skip over uncertified votes simply to finalize the state results — would unfairly and illegally disenfranchise the voters who had cast their ballots.

The Biden-Harris Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against the state of Alabama over its recent purging of illegal aliens from its voter rolls, demanding that non-citizens be put back on the rolls and allowed to vote in November.
According to Fox News, the lawsuit stems from Secretary of State Wes Allen’s (R-Ala.) decision to remove 3,251 people from the state’s voter rolls who have been issued non-citizen identification numbers, meaning that they are recognized by the federal government and still have to pay taxes despite being non-citizens. These numbers are issued by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and also serve to provide illegals with the means of getting driver’s licenses and providing proof of residence in the country.
“I have been clear that I will not tolerate the participation of noncitizens in our elections,” said Allen in a previous statement. “I have even gone so far as to testify before a United States Senate Committee regarding the importance of this issue. We have examined the current voter file in an attempt to identify anyone who appears on that list that has been issued a noncitizen identification number.”
Elon Musk: California governor signs law banning voter ID requirements; ‘Joker is in Charge’, says Elon Musk – Times of India Source Link Excerpt:
Tech billionaire Elon Musk has once again stirred up controversy by criticising California’s recent legislation that prohibits local governments from mandating voter ID requirements. Following governor Gavin Newsom’s signing of the bill into law, Musk took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice his disapproval.
The new law prevents local authorities from requiring residents to present valid identification in order to cast their vote.In his post, he expressed his concerns about election security and voter fraud, stating, “Wow, it is now illegal to require voter ID in California! They just made preventing voter fraud against the law. The Joker is in charge.”
His comment quickly generated a flurry of responses, with some supporting his viewpoint while others criticized his stance.
Users shared their apprehensions about the new legislation. One user wrote, “Democrats don’t even hide stealing elections anymore,” while another questioned, “If you need a driver’s license to drive a car, why wouldn’t you need an ID to vote in an election?”
In support of Musk’s position, a user commented, “The only reason. The only reason that you would ban voter ID is because you want to cheat. Period”.
However, another user countered this argument, saying, “Nah. New Zealand doesn’t require voter identification to vote or to enroll. It’s not “to cheat”. It’s to make voting as accessible as possible. If you call “allowing everyone who is legally able to vote, to vote as easily as they can” a form of ‘cheating’, well…”.

Comer reported that Walz has visited China at least 30 times and operated Travel Adventures Inc., a for-profit enterprise that organized trips to China for American children from 1991 through 2003.
In addition, Walz was a fellow at the Macau Polytechnic University during his time in the U.S. House of Representatives, a Chinese institution that characterizes itself as having a “long held devotion to and love for the motherland.”

The shocking discovery further adds to concerns that the outcome of the presidential race will not reflect the will of the only people permitted to vote in federal elections – American citizens.
The study “found that about 10% to 27% of non-citizen adults in the U.S. are now illegally registered to vote,” Just Facts noted in an overview.

In a move that is sure to help the Kamala Harris election campaign, the Federal Reserve has announced a half point rate cut, the first of its kind in four years, just in time for the 2024 election. Federal Chair Jerome Powell claimed the decision was purely based on economics, not politics.
He claimed, “This is my fourth presidential election at the Fed, and it’s always the same. We’re always going to this meeting in particular and asking what’s the right thing to do for the people we serve. Nothing else is ever discussed… We now see the risks to achieving our employment and inflation goals as roughly in balance, and we are attentive to the risks of both sides of our dual mandate.”
The Fed says its long-awaited rate cut is apolitical, even close to the presidential election – Washington State Standard Source Link Excerpt:
The Federal Reserve’s first key interest rate cut in four years coincides with another major four-year event: the homestretch of the presidential election.
Fed Chair Jerome Powell downplayed the central bank’s role in the race between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump on Wednesday, in announcing the half-percentage point cut in its benchmark rate. But that didn’t stop the candidates’ campaigns from weighing in, and it could prove a key factor for voters.
“This is my fourth presidential election at the Fed, and it’s always the same. We’re always going to this meeting in particular and asking what’s the right thing to do for the people we serve,” Powell said. “Nothing else is ever discussed.”
The decision to cut for the first time during the Biden Administration indicates the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors believe the economy has beaten the COVID-19 pandemic-induced wave of inflation that has plagued it since mid-2021. The Fed hiked its key rate 11 times between March 2022 and July 2023.
Inflation peaked at 9.1% in June 2022. The Consumer Price Index, a measure of inflation, rose 2.5% over the past year, according to the latest release from the Bureau of Labor Statistics in August. The unemployment rate was 4.2% in August, down from 4.3% in July, but still much higher than 3.5% in July 2023 when the Fed made its last rate hike.
“We now see the risks to achieving our employment and inflation goals as roughly in balance, and we are attentive to the risks of both sides of our dual mandate,” Powell said.
Wednesday’s was the first in what is expected to be a series of key rate cuts. For now, that benchmark rate is 4.75 to 5%
U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-AR) has announced plans to put forward a CR, a continuing resolution to fund the federal government at current levels, without the Trump-supported amendment called the SAVE Act. The amendment would have assured no state or local government could allow non-citizens to vote no matter what reason they might give.
Trump and other conservatives have urged the Speaker to shut to government down if the SAVE Act isn’t included. The Speaker defended his decision, writing “While this is not the solution any of us prefer, it is the most prudent path forward under the present circumstances. As history has taught and current polling affirms, shutting the government down less than 40 days from a fateful election would be an act of political malpractice.”
House Speaker Johnson axes Trump voting restrictions in new government funding bill – CNBC Source Link Excerpt:
Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson on Sunday announced a new temporary government funding proposal with key amendments from the original bill he put forward earlier this month, going against former President Donald Trump’s wishes and making some concessions to Democrats.
The new bill would fund the government through Dec. 20 and does not include any part of the SAVE Act, the Trump-backed election security proposal that would require people to show proof of citizenship to register as a voter.
In a letter to colleagues on Sunday, Johnson said, the “very narrow, bare-bones” proposal would include “only the extensions that are absolutely necessary” to avoid a government shutdown.
Congressional Republicans and Democrats have eight days to strike a deal on government funding. If no resolution is reached, the government will go into partial shutdown on Oct. 1 at 12:01 a.m. ET, just over a month away from the November election when party control will be up for grabs in both the White House and Congress.
The DOJ has shot a warning across the bow of states planning to cull their roles of dead and illegal voters, sending out a “guidance” designed to address “limits on when and how jurisdictions may remove voters from their voter lists.” Trump may have indirectly challenged such actions in his recent warning to election cheaters that when he wins he will prosecute them.
A small revolt within the GOP will lead to the failure of House Speaker Johnson to pass a CR with the SAVE Act (an act that makes it clear to the states they cannot allow non-citizens to vote) even as we learn of 100,000 non-citizens showing up on Arizona voter rolls as being registered to vote. This follows news of Non-Citizens being wrongly registered to vote by Oregon’s DMV.
A beacon of light shone in New Hampshire where Governor Chris Sununu (R) signed a law explicitly requiring Voter ID in order for Americans to vote. PA may get some relief in culling non-citizens from their voter rolls if they showed up there through their DMV, but the audit ordered by PA’s current Auditor General, Timothy DeFoor (R), won’t bring relief in time for the election. PA’s highest court also removed Cornell West from the ballot in a move that is sure to help the DNC-CCP.
Biden’s DOJ Threatens Election Offices Over Cleaning Voter Rolls– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
The Justice Department’s (DOJ) recent guidance, trumpeted by the administration’s progressive allies, addresses “limits on when and how jurisdictions may remove voters from their voter lists.” Three aspects of the guidance are problematic…
The implication is that the nation’s chief law enforcement agency is more concerned with policing the efforts of government officials to clean the voter rolls than that the voter rolls may be dirty — this despite states having found ample evidence of impropriety…
The DOJ’s decision to issue such guidance also suggests it believes states are being too vigorous in their voter roll maintenance efforts, and that the department is scrutinizing those efforts.

As early voting begins this week in the battleground state of Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump posted another warning to cheaters on Truth Social.
“CEASE & DESIST,” the 45th president posted Tuesday. “I, together with many Attorneys and Legal Scholars, am watching the Sanctity of the 2024 Presidential Election very closely because I know, better than most, the rampant Cheating and Skullduggery that has taken place by the Democrats in the 2020 Presidential Election. It was a Disgrace to our Nation!”
House Republicans poised to reject funding bill with shutdown just around the corner – NBC News Source Link Excerpt:
House Republicans on Wednesday are expected to derail their own plan to avert a government shutdown at the end of the month, with the party divided over the length of a short-term funding bill and what, if anything, should be attached to it.
Speaker Mike Johnson’s plan calls for extending funding at current spending levels for six months, through March 2025, and linking it with the SAVE Act, Donald Trump-backed legislation requiring that people show proof of citizenship to register to vote…
The funding package is on track to fail given Republicans’ razor-thin 220-211 majority and the fact that a number of GOP lawmakers — a mix of fiscal conservatives and defense hawks — have vowed to tank it….
House Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole, R-Okla., said after Wednesday’s meeting that he had complete faith in Johnson figuring out how to avert a shutdown, noting the speaker reached a funding deal earlier this year with Schumer for the current fiscal year.
“At the end of the day, if he ever wanted to shut down the government, he had a lot of opportunities to do that,” Cole said. “Since he’s been speaker, he’s never let it happen. I don’t think he ever will.”
Nearly 100,000 Voters Registered Without Proof of Citizenship as ‘Flaw’ Could Impact Upcoming Elections– www.westernjournal.com Source Link Excerpt:
Almost 100,000 Arizona voters are in election limbo because of a flaw that has state officials at odds over the proper remedy.
Arizona passed a law in 2004 that requires documented proof of citizenship to register as “full-ballot voters.” Driver’s licenses are considered valid proof of citizenship. But there’s a problem, because prior to 1996, motor vehicle records did not have proof of citizenship on file.
About 97,000 people are impacted, as officials offer competing solutions.
In one corner, Secretary of State Adrian Fontes said he thinks these are legal voters who should go ahead and vote as they always have, according to KPHO-TV.
But Stepehn Richer, the Maricopa County Recorder, disagrees, according to KSAZ-TV.
(Oregon) State Admits That It Has Wrongly Registered Hundreds of Non-Citizens to Vote– www.westernjournal.com Source Link Excerpt:
In the latest object lesson in why we need voter ID laws and why motor-voter initiatives are a terrible idea, the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles quietly announced late last week that over 300 non-citizens had been accidentally registered to vote.
Furthermore, The Oregonian’s report on the matter seemed to indicate a number of these 306 people illegally registered to vote were also here illegally, as well.
“The mistake occurred in part because Oregon has allowed undocumented residents to obtain driver’s licenses since 2019 and the DMV automatically registers most individuals to vote when they obtain a license or ID, according to Kevin Glenn, spokesperson for the Oregon Department of Transportation, which oversees the DMV,” the report said.
“Glenn said an initial analysis by the state transportation agency revealed 306 non-citizens were allowed to become registered voters. Of those, only two have cast a vote in any election since 2021, Glenn said.
NH Governor Signs No-Excuse Voter ID And Citizenship Law– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Gov. Chris Sununu, R-N.H., signed a no-excuse voter identification and proof-of-citizenship bill into law last week, but it will not go into effect until six days after this year’s election.
The law, which passed the state’s Republican-majority House and Senate earlier this year, will require New Hampshire voters to provide proof of citizenship to apply for registration, as well as a photo ID when casting a ballot. In the event a person can’t show a valid ID, the supervisor may “review the voter’s qualifications and determine if the voter’s identity can be verified.”
“If the supervisor of the checklist determines that the voter’s qualifications and identity have not been established, the voter shall not be allowed to vote,” the law clarifies.
PA Motor Voter System Will Be Audited For Noncitizen Voters – thefederalist.com
Pennsylvania Auditor General Timothy DeFoor, a Republican, sent a letter Monday to PennDOT Secretary Michael Carroll and Neil Weaver, secretary of the Governor’s Office of Administration, informing them that the auditor’s office will be conducting a performance audit of the motor voter registration process.
The audit will look at the automatic voter registration system covering the period between Jan. 1 and June 30.
Specifically, it will look at the implementation of the program, its compliance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, and how it relates to the state election code. The audit will also “determine whether PennDOT’s Motor Voter interface files sent to the Pennsylvania Department of State properly excluded non-citizens.”
It is unlikely the audit’s results will influence the 2024 election. DeFoor set a deadline of Oct. 4 for a meeting to be held between PennDOT and the auditor. Draft notes and audit information are not made public. PennDOT will have 120 business days to submit a response to the audit. The election is less than 50 days away.

Gavin Newsom chuckles as he signs bills restricting AI use in election ads — but social media users may have last laugh– www.theblaze.com Source Link Excerpt:
AB 2655, also known as the Defending Democracy from Deepfake Deception Act of 2024, requires online platforms “to block the posting of materially deceptive content related to elections in California” and “to label certain additional content inauthentic, fake, or false” during designated periods before and after an election.
AB 2355 expands upon existing law and requires a committee that creates, publishes, and/or distributes some political advertising to add a “disclosure” noting when an ad has been “generated or substantially altered” using AI. The bill addresses “any image, audio, or video that is generated or substantially altered using artificial intelligence” that would give a reasonable person “a fundamentally different understanding of the altered media when comparing it to an unaltered version.”
AB 2839 also builds upon existing law that already prohibits people from knowingly distributing, with malice, election material containing “certain materially deceptive content.” Previous law required this statute to be enforced 60 days before an election. It will now be enforced 120 days before an election and, in certain cases, up to 60 days afterward.
In a statement, Newsom insisted these speech restrictions were necessary for the sake of democracy.
“Safeguarding the integrity of elections is essential to democracy, and it’s critical that we ensure AI is not deployed to undermine the public’s trust through disinformation – especially in today’s fraught political climate,” Newsom said. “These measures will help to combat the harmful use of deepfakes in political ads and other content, one of several areas in which the state is being proactive to foster transparent and trustworthy AI.”
Pennsylvania Supreme Court Kicks Cornel West Off 2024 Ballot– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Pennsylvania’s Democrat-controlled supreme court shot down left-wing presidential candidate Cornel West’s bid to appear on the state’s 2024 ballot.
In a reportedly unsigned order, the Keystone State’s highest court affirmed a lower court ruling denying West’s bid for ballot access. In that ruling, Commonwealth Court Judge Renee Cohn Jubelirer sided with the office of Secretary of State Al Schmidt “in rejecting West’s candidacy paperwork,” according to the Washington Examiner.
Schmidt’s office had argued that “the paperwork lacked the affidavits for 14 of the 19 presidential electors required by the Aug. 1 filing deadline,” according to the outlet.
Schmidt indicated prior to Monday’s decision that a final ruling on West’s case by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court would allow counties to begin printing ballots for the November contest. Schmidt is a self-professed “Republican” and was appointed by Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro.
“As soon as the court rules on that, we’ll certify the official list and then counties can complete their preparations to mail out ballots and to have voters, if they choose, go to a county election office to apply in person,” he reportedly said.
The Michigan Supreme Court has upheld Democrat Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s new restrictions on poll watchers.
In a divided ruling, the top court’s Democrat majority sided with Benson.
The court argues that Benson is acting within her authority as the chief election officer of the state to require poll watchers to communicate only with a designated “challenger liaison,” among other changes.
“Under the Michigan Election Law, the secretary of state is the chief election officer of Michigan,” Justice Kyra Harris Bolden wrote.
“The secretary has supervisory control over local election officials in the performance of their duties.”
The court also upheld rules requiring poll watchers to use a credential form provided by Benson.
The U.S. Eighth District Court of Appeals reversed a ruling freezing an Arkansas law that requires signatures on voter registration applications while another court, the PA Supreme Court ruled that ballots with wrong dates on them cannot be counted, which also reversed an earlier ruling allowing it.
Meanwhile, Republicans, including Ron DeSantis, who’s state of Florida has voter ID laws, is calling out the Dems’ desperate efforts to hold on to the un-democratic method of voting called Mass Mailer voting, which is no election at all. – READ FULL ELECTION LAW UPDATED REPORT

The decision from the U.S. Eighth Circuit reverses that, again requiring pen-to-paper signatures for voter registration applications.
DeSantis: ‘Democrats Oppose Voter ID Because They Want There To Be Illegal Votes’ – The Daily Wire Source Link Excerpt:
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis discussed his efforts over the weekend to make sure that his state has the most secure elections in the country this fall.
DeSantis told “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo on Fox News that the state has banned ballot harvesting and imposed serious penalties for offenders.
“We require photo ID in order to vote,” he said. “We’ve banned the use of Zuckerbucks, and we’ve been aggressive at policing the voter rolls so that we have accurate voter rolls, and when people have run afoul of our election laws, this election crimes unit we’ve created has been able to investigate, refer these people to prosecution, and you’ve had over 50 people just in the last couple years that have been convicted of various types of voter fraud.”
“In the state of Florida, we require voter ID,” he continued. “We also prohibit issuing any type of photo ID to illegal aliens, no driver’s license, no local government IDs, no private organizations are allowed to issue illegals photo ID, and we don’t recognize out of state licenses or any type of ID for illegals. What that means is it’s almost impossible for an illegal to register to vote. In some of these states where they do issue those ID cards, they can go in, and there’s really no check of the citizenship that has been done. So we’ve been very aggressive in ensuring that only US citizens are on the voter rolls. When we’ve identified people that have voted illegally who are not US citizens, we have brought prosecutions against them.”’
Mass Mail-In Voting Is Democrats’ New ‘Blue Wall’– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
The most striking feature of the contentious 2020 election was the sudden explosion of mass mail-in voting in states that had little experience with it, and the unprecedented levels of election interference that occurred as left-leaning nonprofit organizations such as The Center for Tech and Civic Life (which was behind “Zuckbucks”) and Democrat “lawfare” experts tried to make the best of this chaotic, mail-in ballot free-for-all.
The mail-in ballot election of 2020 created the template for the Democrats’ new “Blue Wall” election strategy, as a deluge of mail-in ballots propelled Joe Biden to victory, especially in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The rate of mail-in voting rose to above 50 percent in Michigan and Wisconsin, and almost 40 percent in Pennsylvania.
The old “Blue Wall” was an impregnable fortress of safely Democrat states because of large blocs of blue-collar voters — mainly in the Rust Belt of the upper Midwest — that could be relied upon to get Democrats an electoral college victory in a close election. The old “Blue Wall,” however, dramatically failed to protect Hillary Clinton’s candidacy, as an unexpectedly large number of formerly Democrat, working-class voters in Rust Belt states became Donald Trump voters.

New polling confirms that Vice President Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) did not see any major boost as a result of her first debate with former President Donald Trump, despite claims from the mainstream media that she was the winner of the debate.
As the Daily Caller reports, the latest poll from ABC News and Ipsos saw that Harris only gained one percentage point in a general election matchup against President Trump, now at 51% to Trump’s 47%. This was despite 58% of respondents in the same poll saying that they believed Harris won the debate.
The poll was conducted online between September 11th and September 13th, with a sample size of 3,276 registered voters and a margin of error of 2%. In the same poll, Harris leads Trump among all adults with 51% to 46%, with her lead increasingly slightly among likely voters, with 52% to Trump’s 46%.

The national polls are still close, but the battleground polls, both for Trump and for GOP Senators, are continuing to move in their direction, though GOP candidates are not polling as well as Trump is. The Talyor Swift endorsement has not panned out as more people say they are less likely to vote for Kamala as a result of Swift’s endorsement than would vote for her because of the endorsement.

Florida Democrats say state is in play but aren’t putting money where their mouth is – washingtonexaminer.com Source Link Excerpt:
Florida Democrats have been saying the Sunshine State, which has increasingly shifted toward Republicans in recent years, is in play in November, but the spending in the race has not backed up their claims.
Former President Donald Trump and Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) are expected to win the presidential and Senate races in Florida in November, but recent polls have shown a closer-than-expected race in both contests. Democrats in the state have maintained they can flip the Senate seat, but a report from the Associated Press shows they have not invested in the campaign as bullishly.
Using data from AdImpact, the report shows Republicans and aligned groups have spent $12.7 million on advertisement reservations through Election Day, while Democrats and aligned groups have only spent $3.2 million on ad reservations for the Senate race as of Wednesday. While spending on advertisements could increase, the significant GOP advantage in spending is unlike most Senate races considered battlegrounds.
Teamsters Release Presidential Endorsement Polling Data – teamsters.org Source Link Excerpt:
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters today publicly released six months of membership polling data on the union’s possible endorsement for the next U.S. President, revealing former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden each edged Vice President Kamala Harris among Teamsters voters in major polls commissioned by the union….
From April 9-July 3, nearly 300 Teamsters local unions nationwide conducted first-of-their-kind Presidential town halls, soliciting endorsement preferences from members via straw polls. The in-person voting was held prior to Biden’s withdrawal from the race. The Teamsters’ polling data shows members backed Biden 44.3 percent to Trump’s 36.3 percent.
Following the Republican National Convention and Biden’s campaign exit, the Teamsters commissioned a national electronic poll of its 1.3 million members, overseen by an independent third party. During a voting window from July 24-Sept. 15, rank-and-file Teamsters voted 59.6 percent for the union to endorse Trump, compared to 34 percent for Harris.

(The Center Square) – Three samplings in battleground North Carolina have been initiated since last week’s presidential debate, and Republican former President Donald Trump has led Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in each.
All, however, remain within the margin of error. And a close finish through 49 more days to Nov. 5 is anticipated by nationwide analysts watching the state.
On the heels of his 1.7% lead from the Quantus Polls and News analysis released Friday, Trump over the weekend picked up a 48.9%-45.9% edge from AmericanGreatness/TIPP Insights and 48.4%-46% from The Trafalgar Group. Sponsors, respectively, were Trending Politics, American Greatness and Trafalgar Group.
RealClear Polling, without the Quantus sampling, has the state remaining statistically even at Trump plus 0.4%. There is no margin of error factored in, though most polls range from nearly 3% to at or just under 4%. This means both candidates are about 3% away from saying he or she leads the state.
Project 538 also computes Trump ahead by 0.4% at 47.5%-47.1%.
Ratings changes show path to GOP control of Senate, House – rollcall.com Source Link Excerpt:
ANALYSIS — In the shadow of the presidential race sit two competitive fights for the Senate and the House, and the latest race rating changes give Republicans a more straightforward path to sweeping control of both chambers…
Inside Elections continues to project that Republicans will gain one to three Senate seats. In order for Democrats to maintain control without ousting any Republican senators whose races have much safer ratings, they need Tester to either make up a few points or baffle the pollsters like GOP Sen. Susan Collins did in Maine in 2020. They would also need Harris to win the White House so a Vice President Tim Walz could break tie votes. But the Tester victory will be a challenge.
In the House, nine rating changes don’t change the overall dynamic in the fight for the majority. Democrats need a net gain of four seats, but Republicans continue to have a narrow advantage to keep control.
The GOP needs to win just two of the 13 Toss-up races, while Democrats need to win 12 of 13, if the other races end as expected. The current Inside Elections projection continues to range from Democrats picking up five seats to Republicans picking up five. Overall, there are 70 House races rated as competitive by Inside Elections.
Hillary Clinton Demands that Americans be “Criminally Charged” for Free Speech › American Greatness– amgreatness.com Source Link Excerpt:
In a bizarre interview on Monday, former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said that Americans who engage in speech that she doesn’t like should be “criminally charged.”
As reported by Breitbart, Clinton made the remarks during an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, in response to a question regarding the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to silence alleged Russian propaganda ahead of the 2024 election.
“I also think there are Americans who are engaged in this kind of propaganda, and whether they should be civilly or even in some cases, criminally charged, is something that would be a better deterrence,” said Clinton. She also claimed, without evidence, that Republican members of Congress are parroting “Russian talking points” on “the floor of Congress.”
“I think we need to uncover all of the connections and make it very clear that you could vote however you want,” she continued. “But we are not going to let adversaries, whether it is Russia, China, Iran, or anybody else, basically try to influence Americans as to how we should vote in picking our leaders.”

Tim Walz Thinks Your Kids Belong To The Public School System– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Democrats are leaning hard into the “schoolteacher” and “coach” personas for Tim Walz to paint their vice presidential candidate and the Minnesota governor as more relatable and less radical than he really is.
“I was a schoolteacher for a lot of years,” said the folksy Tim Walz in a speech last week at a Human Rights Campaign dinner, touting his time as a “social studies teacher and high school football coach.” Yet in the next breath, he praised LGBT “allyship” and declared, “We must be the country that leads on “gay and transgender rights.”
They used the same strategy during Walz’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month. Former students showed up to watch, teachers union officials played up that part of his resume on the convention floor, and Walz himself spoke about it in his speech to a crowd holding signs that said, “Coach Walz.”

“Think about what they’re saying in Project 2025, you’re going to have to register with a new federal agency when you get pregnant,” he added.
Walz’s claim is a new version of something Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris, have been saying forweeks: that the 900-page presidential transition document calls for monitoring each woman’s pregnancy.
It doesn’t. Walz is describing a policy that doesn’t exist.
GOP Billionaire Says He Will Pull Funds from Stock Market if Harris Wins– www.breitbart.com Source Link Excerpt:
Republican megadonor and hedge fund billionaire John Paulson revealed that he would pull his money out of the stock market if Vice President Kamala Harris wins the upcoming presidential election, pointing to “uncertainty” around her economic policies.
In an interview with Fox Business host Liz Claman, Paulson who founded Paulson & Co., spoke about how the Biden-Harris administration wants to raise the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent and wants to raise the capital gains rate from 20 percent to 28 percent. Trump has previously considered having Paulson serve as his Secretary of the Treasury if elected president.
“The difference between the Trump administration and Harris is very, very different,” Paulson explained. “Trump is — wants to extend the current, very successful tax policy, which was implemented in 2017. The Biden-Harris group, on the other hand, wants to change that. They want to change the corporate tax rate from 21 to 28 percent, they want to raise the capital gains rate from 20 percent initially to 39 percent now, they flip-flopped back to 28 percent.”
Recount further complicates race after 2 U.S. House candidates tied – latimes.com Source Link Excerpt:
The astonishing saga of a tied Silicon Valley congressional race took another zag this week, with a recount now underway in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Two candidates tied for second place in the primary to replace retiring Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Menlo Park), meaning both of them, plus the first-place finisher, will face off in the November general election, per the California elections code. The slated three-way race is an extraordinary outcome, even in the wild world of California politics.
It is the first time this has happened in a congressional race since the state shifted to its nonpartisan primary system in 2012, which dictates that the top two finishers advance to the November ballot regardless of party affiliation.
A recount could theoretically put a kibosh on a November three-way race, if the vote totals change. The calls for recounts have also raised questions about who is truly behind the effort and generated a fresh round of campaign mudslinging.

*IF* This Is True, ABC News Is About to Become Engulfed in a Major Scandal– townhall.com Source Link Excerpt:
I asked yesterday morning whether Kamala Harris’ camp got the ABC News debate questions in advance. The vice president was visibly nervous for the first portion of the debate but got into a groove, especially when she figured out that Donald Trump would take the bait she was chumming. When Trump took it hook, line, and sinker on the rally size dig, you knew he was going to be kicked off message when he had a wide berth to rip into Harris on inflation, immigration, and overall making us poorer than we were four years ago.
— Donald J. Trump Posts From His Truth Social (@TrumpDailyPosts) September 13, 2024
Harris seemed ready for the questions, which explained her word salad responses, but she never answered any of the questions from moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis. They did fact-check Trump live, though these interruptions were peppered with fake news—no shock there. Harris was never pressed for her mountain of lies, and we know why: an ABC whistleblower is alleging that not only did the Harris camp get questions in advance, but that she was given assurances that she wouldn’t be fact-checked by the moderators either. I’m not saying this is fact, but if this is true, it’s a major scandal:
BREAKING: ABC whistleblower allegedly will release an affidavit claiming the Harris campaign was given sample questions that were “essentially the same questions that were given during the debate,” as well as assurances that Trump would be “fact-checked” and she would not.

… there’s something else I took away from this—and it’s showing on the screen just to the side of me here. One thing I really noticed throughout was the faces that Harris was making—very condescending, very mocking, very childish, actually. I think that’s the one thing I remember more than anything about the debate.
Now, I think Trump did a very good job, even though he didn’t make the points I thought he could have, like showing how she flip-flopped. He hit hard on the border and the economy, and I think that may have a lasting impact.
What’s showing up in the focus groups—ones I’ve seen not by right-wing groups, but CNN, Reuters, NBC—there seems to be a disconnect between who they think won the debate and how they’re reacting substantively.

The good thing is that while she may have won on style points, Kamala Harris didn’t blow anyone away outside of journalisming employees. And while the moderators asked about topics that don’t matter to Normie-America, normies are STILL concerned about the economy.
Kamala didn’t address the economy. During Reuters focus groups of undecided voters, SIXTY PERCENT moved to Trump as a result.
Out of their focus group of ten people, six saw nothing from Kamala to assure them that the next four years would be any different from the last four. It echoed what we heard from a CNN group:
My life was better when Trump was in office. The economy was better. Inflation was lower. Things were better overall. And now, with Kamala’s administration, things haven’t been so fantastic. She’s saying she can fix the problems that her administration has caused, but I don’t know if I can afford to take that risk.
Five said they found Harris vague on how she would improve the U.S. economy and deal with the high cost of living. It remains THE top concern for voters.
Four of those six said she didn’t convince them she would be any different than Joe Biden.

Vice President Kamala Harris — who has sat for just one pre-taped, 18-minute interview since becoming the de-facto Democratic presidential nominee in July — intends on doing a number of local and National interviews in the coming weeks, according to a campaign memo reported on by the New York Times.
While Harris has avoided both sit-down interviews and press conferences over the last 50 days, the campaign appears to be switching up its strategy after Tuesday night’s presidential debate. While a number of outlets have declared Harris the winner through polls and focus groups, a number of outlets found pro-Trump results as well, including Reuters and the New York Times.
A majority of polls and focus groups of undecided voters and independents have also produced positive results for the former president, as both key demographics preferred Trump’s answers on key issues like the economy and illegal immigration.

“In our post-debate data, President Trump leads Vice President Harris by 2-points, 48% – 46%, and in the head-to-head ballot, he is up 3-points, 50% – 47%,” Fabrizio and Tunis continued. “Clearly, target state voters were not impressed by Kamala Harris’ empty platitudes and while the media would have people believe she is cruising to victory, this couldn’t be farther from the truth.” Their predebate numbers, they said, showed the two candidates tied.

A poll conducted after pop superstar Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris seems to show that Swift has lost some of her ability to persuade because the poll shows that her endorsement is turning off more people that she has convinced to join the Harris bandwagon.
The post debate poll comes from YouGov, which are left-leaning pollsters, and the firm found that only a tiny eight percent said that Swif’s endorsement is “somewhat” or “much more likely” to make them want to vote for Harris.
On the other hand, according to the New York Post, the other end of the scale did not make Swift look very good…
But a whopping 20% said they are “somewhat” or “much less likely” to vote for former President Donald Trump’s opponent now that Swift has spoken.
Most of the respondents, 66%, said Swift’s endorsement made no difference on how they will vote in November.
….
The majority — 32% of the online poll’s respondents — think the move will have a positive effect on Harris’ campaign, while 27% said they don’t think it’ll have an effect either way.

However, Sheehy’s lead is not as strong as Trump’s in Big Sky Country, in which he leads by an average of 17.6 percentage points.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has a 51-seat advantage and the ability to tap Vice President Kamala Harris for any tiebreaking votes. Kamala Harris Is Facing Severe Deficits Among Core Democratic Voter Groups– townhall.com Source Link Excerpt:

Ms. Harris has severe deficits among crucial Democratic Party voter groups that spell disaster with less than 60 days from Election Day.
Harris is running behind Joe Biden’s numbers regarding black and Jewish voters. Right now, Trump is projected to win 18 percent of the black vote, the largest share for a Republican since Richard Nixon in 1972. As for Jewish voters, she’s gearing to earn the lowest share for any Democrat since Michael Dukakis.

Jewish Americans have long represented a faithful Democratic voting bloc, and the progressive wing’s unabashed antagonism toward Israel hasn’t changed that.

“He noted that both he and Robert Calahy of Trafalgar (which handled Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan) were both in the top 3 of pollsters in the ‘16 and ‘20 cycles because their methodology allows them to “pick up some Trump vote that some of the other pollsters might not be able to get,” the paper continued.
Trump, Harris Neck and Neck in Key Swing States as Campaigns Ramp Up: Poll – freebeacon.com
Former president Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are locked in a razor-thin race for the White House in six key battleground states, according to a CNN poll released Wednesday.
In Georgia and Nevada, 48 percent of likely voters support Harris while 47 percent back Trump, and in must-win Pennsylvania, the candidates are tied at 47 percent, according to the poll conducted from Aug. 23 to Aug. 29. Harris leads Trump by 6 points in Wisconsin and by 5 points in Michigan while Trump is ahead in Arizona, 49 percent to Harris’s 44 percent, all barely outside the survey’s 4.9 percent margin of error.
The new polling comes as the candidates gear up for the final sprint to Nov. 5. With nine weeks until Election Day, both campaigns are focusing their efforts on these key swing states.
Over the holiday weekend, Harris campaigned in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, also known as the three “blue wall” states, and is set to deliver an economy-focused campaign speech in New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon. Her GOP counterpart is also campaigning in the toss-up battleground states, joining in a Fox News town hall event in Pennsylvania Wednesday evening and hosting events in Wisconsin and Arizona later this week.
Nate Silver and Others Present Damning Evidence That Kamala Harris’ Candidacy Has Stalled – townhall.com
… With the Democratic convention out of the way, Harris saw no bump. The race is razor-thin, drastically different from when Biden started running away from Donald Trump. In the states that matter, it’s not looking too hot, so the former president notched a few more points ahead of Harris in Nate Silver’s Electoral College probability model. Trump has a 58 percent chance of clinching 270 votes—it was 56 percent earlier this week—and winning the election, with an 80 percent probability of winning a state carried by Biden in 2020.
If it’s Pennsylvania, it’s the ballgame. Silver noted that Harris hasn’t had a lot of good polling. He’d also be more bullish on her candidacy if she didn’t rehire all of Biden’s operatives. Last, Pennsylvania and now Michigan “has become something of an issue for Harris.”
I think I’d buy the bull case for Harris a bit more if she hadn’t rehired so many of the Biden people.
President Donald Trump has overtaken Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris in Michigan, a recent poll shows.

The WDIV/Detroit News poll revealed that 43.5% of likely voters supported Harris over 44.7% of likely voters who said they’d vote for Trump.
The survey was taken between August 26 and 29, just days after the Democratic National Convention.
Moreover, 4.7% of voters said they supported Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., who the Associated Press noted dropped out of the race and endorsed Trump on August 23, just days before the survey began.
Another 4.8% were undecided, while 2.3% supported an unnamed third-party candidate.

A new poll has found that a majority of men support Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 election, while a majority of women support Kamala Harris. This is a shift from polling done before the Democratic National Convention, where Harris held a slight lead among both demographics.
The ABC News/Ipsos poll, released on Sunday, found that 51 percent of American men support, while 46 percent of men said they would vote for Harris. Among women, 54 percent said they support Harris, while 41 percent said they would vote for Trump.
Pre-Democratic National Convention, Harris held a six-point lead over Trump among women (51-45 percent) and a three-point lead among men over Trump (49-46 percent).
Among the demographics leading this change are white men and women. Among white women, Trump saw a 13-point lead over Harris pre-convention. Post-DNC, however, Trump is now holding a 2-point lead over Harris. And among white men, Trump went from holding a 13-point lead over Harris to a 21-point lead post-DNC.

Silicon Valley has traditionally been a reliable gold mine for the Democratic Party and progressive causes. But a rightward shift is occurring. Silicon Valley titans want deregulation and a place for AI and exploratory technologies to thrive. Whether that’s an entirely positive or negative direction for the right to head in the future remains an open debate, but the point is that the tech shift to Trump isn’t just about emotions; it’s about business.

According to the documents, the campaign’s volunteers are incentivized to reach out to specific lists of voters. They are given an initial list of 25 voters, with a goal of visiting at least 10 in person. The volunteers are then rewarded for engagement with Trump merchandise and “expedited” entry into Trump rallies. As the volunteers contact and engage more voters, they are eligible for larger rewards. The most active volunteers could be rewarded with an exclusive “thank you party.”

NY Times Admits That Iran Would Prefer That Trump Not Be POTUS Again – PJ Media – pjmedia.com
The New York Times spearheaded the “Russia collusion” false narrative from its inception, which is why it is surprising to see it flirting with the truth when it comes to Iran’s attempts to sway American voters.
Iran has long carried out clandestine information operations against its adversaries, especially Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States, but until now most of its activities were conducted under the shadow of similar campaigns by Russia and China. Its latest propaganda and disinformation efforts have grown more brazen, more varied and more ambitious, according to the U.S. government, company officials and Iran experts.
Iran’s efforts appear intended to undermine former President Donald J. Kamala Harris Refuses to Reveal Her ‘Current Position’ on Reparations – slaynews.com
The campaign for Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris is refusing to reveal the vice president’s “current position” regarding slavery reparations.
The statement from the Harris campaign has provoked mockery on social media over the Democrat candidate’s flip-flopping and lack of transparency.
Harris’s “position,” or lack thereof, was highlighted Wednesday by National Republican Senatorial Committee official Philip Letsou.
In a post on X, Letsou shared a screenshot from Politico’s “Playbook” newsletter.
The radical left is pressuring its ally, Vice President Kamala Harris, to continue to support the controversial idea of reparations for black Americans.
Harris remained silent on Monday about whether or not she supports a newly proposed package of reparations bills in California. The Harris campaign ignored Breitbart News’s request for comment and the Washington Post’s multiple requests for comment on her current position on reparations.
Though 68 percent of Americans oppose reparations according to a Pew Research poll in 2022, Harris pledged several times to force taxpayers to pay reparations for descendants of Africans enslaved.
“I think there needs to be some form of reparations and we can discuss what that is,” Harris told The Root in 2019 when asked if “black people should get reparations.”
While running for president in 2020, Harris told Reverend Al Sharpton, an MNSBC host and activist, that she would sign a reparations bill if she became president.
Kamala Harris Hires Top Socialist Strategist to Advise Campaign – slaynews.com
Let’s take it slow here. It’s an allegation that caught the eye of RealClearPolitics’ Tom Bevan, who rightly said that if this is true, CNN has a significant scandal on its hands. It wouldn’t be the first time a network has done this—this type of stuff goes back to when NBC was busted for chopping up the 911 call from George Zimmerman to smear him as a racist. Yet, Zimmerman wasn’t a presidential candidate. If true, the anti-Trump network took extreme measures to ensure Ms. Harris’ unelectable policy positions were snuffed out of their sit-down with her.
It was only 18 minutes, but it was a trainwreck. It was word salad, drowned in a dressing of unrepentance. Ms. Harris knew something was wrong with Mr. Biden. With the president no longer running for reelection, reports and stories from various American and European officials came out of the woodwork regarding how everyone saw how frail and weak Biden was becoming, likening it to how some members were treating their elderly parents. Harris showed zero regrets for being involved in the White House cover-up that shielded some from the president’s declining health. I say some because half the country already knew this guy was cooked.
Here’s the problem: it’s based on one tweet from someone who claims to know CNN’s managing editor. The post alleges that the interview was 41 minutes long and included topics like fracking and the Green New Deal. The Harris camp allegedly objected to half of the interview, which was pre-taped.
On the anniversary of the attack that left 13 U.S. service members dead during Joe Biden’s botched military withdrawal from Afghanistan, Donald Trump paid a respectful visit to Arlington National Cemetery to mark the somber occasion.
Neither Joe Biden nor Kamala Harris bothered to make an appearance, but that did not stop the latter from attacking Trump on social media for allegedly using the event for political gain.
As Vice President, I have had the privilege of visiting Arlington National Cemetery several times. It is a solemn place; a place where we come together to honor American heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service of this nation.
Almost immediately, individuals who lost loved ones in service to this country began speaking out against Harris’ comment and in support of Trump, as the Daily Caller reported:
Gold Star families spoke out against Vice President Kamala Harris after she weighed in on the controversy surrounding former President Donald Trump’s visit to Arlington Cemetery to honor the 13 soldiers killed in the Biden administration’s Afghanistan withdrawal.
Harris posted a tweet Saturday slamming Trump for filming videos while honoring the fallen soldiers, adding that she, unlike the former president, “will always honor the service and sacrifice of all of America’s fallen heroes.” Eight Gold Star families took to Twitter to rebuke Harris’s comments, explaining that they invited Trump to the cemetery for the ceremony and have never heard from the vice president in the three years since they lost their children in the August 2021 terrorist attack in Kabul.
Kamala Harris CAUGHT Bussing In Thousands Of People To Her Events! – wltreport.com
Kamala Harris has spoken out about Wednesday morning’s shooting at a Georgia high school, which left four students dead and several injured.
The Democratic presidential nominee took the stage during a scheduled rally in North Hampton, New Hampshire, and began her remarks by expressing her condolences to those impacted by the tragedy, and emphasizing the need for gun violence reform in the country.
Though neither the suspect nor the four victims’ names have been shared, it has been reported by several outlets that the shooter is a 14-year-old male, however it has not yet been disclosed whether he is a student of the school, Apalachee High School, in Winder.
While the focus of Harris’ rally in New Hampshire was the economy, she began her speech by addressing the “tragic shooting,” acknowledging that authorities were still in the process of gathering information.
“Our hearts are with all the students and the teachers and their families of course, and we are grateful to the first responders and law enforcement that were on the scene,” she said, before declaring: “This is just a senseless tragedy, on top of so many senseless tragedies, and it is outrageous that everyday in our country in the United States of America, that parents have to send their children to school worried about whether or not their child will come home alive.”
Tim Walz
Tim Walz Brags About Passing Laws That Restrict Speech– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
According to a recent Wall Street Journal editorial, Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., bragged about the impact of the new law, saying that employers will either have to toe the line or be sent to jail.
Making matters worse, Walz also personally appointed all the members of Minnesota’s teacher licensing board, which recently instituted new rules restricting and coercing teachers’ speech. These new regulations “require educators to ‘affirm’ their students’ gender identities, have ‘racial consciousness,’ and learn to ‘disrupt oppressive systems,’” according to Fox News. Count me in as one of those who are shocked yet perhaps not terribly surprised that Walz believes that there should be no guarantees to free speech in America.
Couple Walz’s attacks on free speech with attempts from the political left (and Walz’s attorney general in particular) to put public pressure on social media platforms, such as Elon Musk’s X, and the message is clear. Our First Amendment is under attack.
Walz Made MN A ‘Sanctuary’ For Baby Killers And Child Mutilators– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
Kamala Harris chose a running mate who is as extreme on children’s health care as she is.
Democrat vice presidential candidate and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz describes his state of Minnesota as a sanctuary. But a sanctuary for whom, exactly? Not for the children deceived into permanently mutilating their bodies. Not for the parents stripped of custody of their children. And not for the babies born alive after abortion.
Minnesota is not a sanctuary — it’s a health risk to children and a graveyard for parental rights.
Governor Tim Walz was one of 14 governors who signed legislation to make their states “sanctuary states” for children who believe they are transgender. Walz joined states like California, Washington, and New York, drafting an executive order and signing a successive state law encouraging these children to travel to his state for experimental treatments or surgeries.
Tim Walz Spent Billions To ‘Improve Child Literacy.’ Reading Levels Remain Low, New Test Scores Show.– freebeacon.com Source Link Excerpt:
Minnesota governor Tim Walz, now the Democratic vice presidential candidate, last year signed a flagship education bill that boosted K-12 education spending by more than $2 billion, a “signature accomplishment” that he said would “improve child literacy.” New test scores reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon show that hasn’t happened.
Just 46 percent of Minnesota’s third-graders, for example, are considered proficient in reading, marking a slight dip from 2023, according to data recently released by the Minnesota Department of Education. Across all grade levels, roughly half of Minnesota students are proficient in reading, and just 45 percent are proficient in math. Those figures are nearly identical to those from 2023.
The new numbers suggest Walz’s $2 billion education spending blitz did not impact Minnesota’s students the way he said it would, undercutting a central part of his pitch to voters as he runs for vice president. As Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s running mate, Walz has leaned on his educational background, touting his record as a former teacher. The National Education Association last month lauded him as the “Education Governor.”
Walz subpoenaed by House GOP over handling of COVID fraud scheme – washingtonexaminer.com
The subpoena argues that information provided by the Minnesota Department of Education regarding its oversight of the federal child nutrition programs was “insufficient” in addressing the committee’s concerns over how people from the nonprofit Feeding Our Future were able to defraud the U.S. Department of Agriculture and misuse more than $250 million in funds.
“As the chief executive and the highest ranking official in the state of Minnesota, you are
responsible for the MDE and its administration of” the federal child nutrition program, Chairwoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) wrote in a letter to Walz. “Statements in the press by you and your representatives indicate that you and other executive officers were involved, or had knowledge of, MDE’s administration of the FCNP and responsibilities and actions regarding the massive fraud.”
“The Committee must now compel the production of responsive documents that will show the extent of the actions taken by you and your administration relating to MDE’s administration of the FCNP and the extent of your responsibilities and actions addressing the massive fraud that resulted in the abuse of taxpayer dollars intended for hungry children,” Foxx continued.
Tim Walz used cash reward to encourage Minnesota parents to give Covid vax to children as young as 5 – thepostmillennial.com
“That’s cash in your pocket for starting the year off right by protecting your child from COVID.”
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz offered parents a cash reward to encourage their children to get vaccinated against COVID-19, which was available to children as young as five at the time. The vaccine incentive titled “Kids Deserve a Shot” was announced by Walz in Jan. 2022 offered $200 to families who got their children between the ages of 5 and 11 “fully vaccinated.”
Walz, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, wrote on X at the time: “Big news: Starting this month, families who get their 5- to 11-year-olds vaccinated can get $200! That’s cash in your pocket for starting the year off right by protecting your child from COVID.”
Eligibility was contingent upon parents or guardians providing documentation that their children received both shots of the vaccination between Jan. 1 and Feb. 28, 2022. Walz made the pitch by citing a surge in the “Omicron” variant at the time.
“As Omicron surges across our nation, we’re continuing to use every resource we have to keep our families safe and healthy,” he wrote in a statement. “There’s a lot of highly transmissible virus circulating in our communities, but getting our children 5-11 years old vaccinated gives them critical protection against severe illness and hospitalization from COVID-19 and helps keep them in school.”
Here’s What Tim Walz Did When Asked About the Six Hostages Found Dead in Gaza – townhall.com
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is slurping up milkshakes and eating pork chops on a stick at the state fair this weekend. Not many outlets will cover this heinous exchange with the press at the event, where Walz refused to answer a question about how he felt about the six hostages whose bodies were found by Israeli forces in Gaza over the weekend. Walz listened to the question and then walked away.
REPORTER: “What’s your reaction to the 6 hostages being found dead in Gaza?”
For Democrats who pined for Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, this is a moment for you, though I don’t think Donald Trump takes this state despite coming within a hair of it in 2016. New surveys show the Harris-Walz ticket didn’t get a bump from their convention. Mr. Walz could be hurting Ms. Harris in his home state, where the vice president had a healthy 10-point lead over Mr. Trump. It’s now 48-43 (via NY Post):
Kamala Harris’ bet on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has actually lost her ground in his home state.
That’s the takeaway from new polling of 635 Likely Voters from Minnesota’s KSTP, which found that the Democratic presidential nominee’s advantage over Donald Trump has been cut in half since she picked Walz as her running mate last month and showcased the ticket at the Democratic National Convention.
Harris now leads Trump 48% to 43%, a significant decline for her from the previous survey that showed her up 50% to 40%.

This is particularly remarkable given that this was a poll that included more Democrats than Republican respondents — with Dems making up 40% of the sample, Republicans 35%, and independents the remainder.
Republicans favored to regain Senate as key race shifts in GOP’s favor – nypost Source Link Excerpt:
Republicans are in pole position to take back the Senate majority for the first time in four years after a widely respected analysis shifted a key race toward the GOP candidate Thursday.
The nonpartisan Cook Political Report assessed the Montana contest between incumbent Democrat Jon Tester and challenger Tim Sheehy as “lean Republican.”
If all three races break the Republicans’ way, the GOP would begin the 119th Congress with 53 members of the upper chamber, providing a key check on Democrats should Kamala Harris win the White House and her party regain the House.

Montana Senate race shifts toward GOP, Cook Political Report says – Axios Source Link Excerpt:
Republican Tim Sheehy is now favored to win Montana’s Senate race, according to a Thursday analysis from Cook Political Report.
Why it matters: The GOP will likely gain control of the Senate if incumbent Democratic Sen. Jon Tester loses the seat.
Cook Political Report changed its race rating from “toss-up” to “leans Republican.”
The Senate is currently made up of 48 Democrats, 49 Republicans and 3 independents. However, the independent Senators caucus with Democrats to give them a 51-49 majority.
State of play: Protecting Tester’s seat is a top goal for Democrats, but Sheehy’s polling has been strong.
“Republicans are now an even heavier favorite to win back control of the Senate, regardless of the result at the top of the ticket,” Cook Political Report’s Jessica Taylor said in an analysis on Thursday.
Vice President Kamala Harris’s sudden entry into the presidential election has upended the electoral math to reach the White House, growing her levels of support above those of President Joe Biden in some polls while dampening it in others. All signs point to Pennsylvania being the pivotal battleground that may determine the election, and a new poll in the state’s U.S. Senate race indicates that Republicans are gaining traction.
Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA), who is seeking his fourth six-year term, faces a pugnacious challenger in Dave McCormick, a businessman and former U.S. Treasury undersecretary for international affairs. In a notable break from previous polls, McCormick, 59, is now tied with the 64-year-old incumbent, according to a survey from CNN and SSRS. Nearly 800 likely voters were asked to choose between the who men, each of whom drew 46%. Another poll by Wick, also conducted during the final week of August, gave Sen. Casey a 2% lead, the smallest on record for the past several months, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) does not believe there is an underlying issue in the country of illegal immigrants voting, making the remark when asked about the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would provide safeguards to ensure non-citizens are not voting in federal elections.
The SAVE Act is back on the scene following chatter of attaching it to a continuing resolution. While it is already illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections, conservatives say the bill is necessary as there are no concrete safeguards to check it.
The House in the Balance? Alaska’s At-Large Race Is Now Neck-and-Neck – RedState– redstate.com Source Link Excerpt:
While Alaska’s issues are frequently of concern primarily to Alaskans, in 2024, our at-large House of Representatives election is drawing some significant national attention. Why is this? Partly because the balance of the House of Representatives is at stake and that might come down to a few seats. It’s also partly due to the complications ranked-choice voting (RCV) has introduced – and how both parties here in the Great Land are dealing with it.
Cook Political Report, which analyzes races across the country, has shifted the Alaska U.S. House race from the “Lean Democrat” category to “Toss Up,” in the latest ranking.
The change explains why Democrats, who have their own polling, are now suing the state Division of Elections to save the Rep. Mary Peltola, who is facing Republican Nick Begich in the general election, in her reelection bid.
Dem Senate Candidate Finally Speaks Out Against China-Linked Battery Maker After Months Of Attacks From GOP– americanactionnews.com Source Link

Democratic Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin came out against a Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-linked company during a campaign rally this week, after enduring months of criticism from Republicans over the matter.
Slotkin, currently running for Senate in the state, had previously not publicly opposed a plan by Gotion High-Tech — a subsidiary of the Chinese-owned firm Gotion Inc. — to build a massive battery plant in Michigan, according to Politico Pro. Slotkin had fallen under criticism from Republican lawmakers and organizations who claimed she had signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on discussing Gotion’s projects.
“To me, until there’s a national security vetting, I don’t love the idea of moving forward on any project or any sale of farmland [to a Chinese-based entity],” Slotkin told reporters following a campaign event in southern Michigan this week, according to Politico Pro. “I believe that we need to not just think about economic [implications], but also about the national security implications of Chinese-affiliated companies.”
Johnson Drops SAVE as He Prepares to Fund Biden Government
Thousands of Arizona Voters in Limbo After State Citizenship Info Error – newsweek Source Link Excerpt:
Nearly 100,000 people in Arizona have been left uncertain about the future of their right to vote after a clerical error was made in the tracking of citizenship data.
Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes announced on Tuesday that 97,000 people would be affected by the error, which occurred due to a clash between proof of citizenship laws and driver’s license information.
The error will not restrict voters from voting the 2024 presidential election, or for federal elections to Congress. It applies solely to state-level elections, such as state senator races or state referendums.
Arizona requires voters to provide proof of U.S. citizenship to vote in state and local elections since 2005, meaning voters that have not provided the proof are registered as “federal only” voters and are only allowed to vote for president and Congress.

Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, will reportedly not use drop boxes this election cycle citing concerns of “illegal activities.”
Luzerne County Manager Romilda Crocamo sent a notice to county election officials on Wednesday saying the county lacked the “capability” to ensure the drop boxes were safe locations for voters to leave their ballots, according to WNEP.
“While I recognize that drop boxes can provide alternative means for voters to cast their ballots, I must prioritize the safety and security of our community in the current political climate,” Crocamo said. “We don’t have the capability, we don’t have the number of staff members to actually stand by the drop boxes to keep them safe, so I decided I’m not going to deploy them.”
Judge rules it’s too late to challenge Arizona open primary proposition– www.washingtonexaminer.com Source Link Excerpt:
Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Frank Moskowitz ruled today that a proposition that would establish open primaries in Arizona will have the opportunity to be voted into law by Arizonans, even though almost 40,000 voter signatures have been invalidated.
Even though ballots have already been printed with the proposition on it, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that the superior court look at the evidence of duplicated signatures provided by the Arizona Free Enterprise Club. Special Master Christopher Skelly submitted his report yesterday, showing that 35,478 of the submitted signatures were indeed duplicates.
“In a major development with the signature challenge over Proposition 140, the special master reviewing the duplicate signatures determined that 99% of the 38,000 signatures reviewed were, in fact, duplicates,” reads a statement from the Arizona Free Enterprise Club. “Of the nearly 40,000 duplicates that were included when the Prop 140 Committee submitted their signatures to the Secretary of State, around 250 people had signed five or more times. One individual had signed 15 times. All those signatures were included in the final tabulation by the Arizona Secretary of State and challenged in state courts.”

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has again been rejected in his effort to have his name removed from Michigan’s ballot this November.
The latest setback came Wednesday when U.S. District Court Judge Denise Page Hood declined to grant Kennedy’s request for a preliminary injunction to halt the printing of ballots with his name listed as the presidential nominee of the Natural Law Party.
“Defendant argues that the integrity of the electoral process is at stake,” she wrote in her 18-page order. “Reprinting ballots at this late hour would undoubtedly halt the voting process in Michigan and cause a burden to election officials.”
The final deadline to get ballots printed and sent to military and overseas voters must be at least 45 days before the election, which would be Saturday.
Supreme Court rejects Green Party bid to appear on Nevada presidential ballot – NBC News Source Link Excerpt:
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Friday rejected Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein’s last-ditch request to be included on the ballot in Nevada, a key swing state.
The court in a brief unsigned order left in place a decision by the Nevada Supreme Court that blocked Stein from appearing on the ballot over a dispute concerning whether the Green Party had submitted the correct paperwork.
State officials had told the court that ballots that do not feature Stein and her running mate, Butch Ware, are already being printed ahead of the Nov. 5 election. Ballots must be sent to overseas military voters by Saturday, with at least one county having already done so.
Forcing a late change to the ballot language “would undermine the integrity of Nevada’s election,” Attorney General Aaron Ford wrote in court papers.
Jay Sekulow, an ally of former President Donald Trump, represented the Green Party. In swing states in particular, third-party candidates can be crucial to the outcome, with the Green Party potentially winning some votes that would otherwise go to the Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris.
How Minnesota Allows Noncitizens to Vote Automatic Voter Registration at DMV | The Gateway Pundit– www.thegatewaypundit.com Source Link Excerpt:
When Governor Tim Walz signed the Minnesota automatic voter registration bill into law in May 2023, most people assumed it would only allow eligible U.S. citizens to be automatically registered to vote. They were wrong.
U.S. citizenship is an eligibility requirement to vote in Minnesota, according to Article VII Section 1 of the State Constitution.
But now, with the new Minnesota drivers license application form, there are no questions, check boxes, or signed oaths regarding citizenship whatsoever, anywhere; only a paragraph, in the tiniest of print, at the very bottom of the form saying:
“If you provide documentation showing you are not a U.S. citizen at the time of application, no data will be sent to the Office of the Secretary of State.”
This craftily constructed sentence defines the ONLY criteria under which a new applicant’s data must not be sent to the Secretary of State and registered to vote.
There are no requirements on the form to show citizenship or even attest to it. That means if an illegal immigrant, with an easily obtainable SS#, chooses not to provide documentation showing they are not a U.S. citizen at the time of application, they will be automatically registered to vote.
RNC Challenge to Mississippi’s Mail-In Ballot Deadline to Be Heard by 5th Circuit – democracydocket.com Source Link Excerpt:
Mississippi currently permits mail-in ballots to be counted up to five business days after an election, provided they are postmarked on or before Election Day. The Republican National Committee (RNC) is challenging this law, and the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear oral argument on the matter Tuesday.
The RNC, along with the Mississippi GOP and two Republican voters, filed this lawsuit back in January, against Secretary of State Michael Watson (R) and county election officials.
The GOP plaintiffs argued that the state election law about the mail-in ballot receipt deadline “effectively extends Mississippi’s federal election past the Election Day established by Congress” and results in “valid ballots” being “diluted by untimely, invalid ballots.”
The Republicans specifically argued this law harms their party because, during the 2022 election, significantly more Democrats voted by mail than their GOP counterparts.
“That means the late-arriving mail-in ballots that are counted for five additional days disproportionately break for Democrats,” the plaintiffs argued in their lawsuit.
Johnson pulls stopgap spending bill – Axios Source Link Excerpt:
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) ditched a planned vote Wednesday on his six-month stopgap funding bill that included a crackdown on non-citizen voting.
Why it matters: It’s the latest setback for Johnson, who was facing opposition from fellow Republicans as well nearly all Democrats and raises pressure on GOP leaders to find an alternative path for avoiding a shutdown in less than three weeks.
“No vote today because we’re in the consensus-building business,” Johnson told reporters Wednesday.
That likely puts off a House vote on a stopgap bill until next week at the earliest.
At least eight GOP lawmakers publicly came out against the bill, despite pressure from former President Trump to back it, leaving Johnson short of the votes he would need to pass it out of the chamber.
Republicans push for clean stopgap as leaders regroup on shutdown plan – The Hill Source Link Excerpt:
A growing number of House Republicans say they know how the current government funding drama ends: with a clean continuing resolution (CR) that kicks the shutdown deadline to after Election Day.
The question is how Congress arrives at that conclusion.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) scrapped plans for the House to vote on his conservative funding bill Wednesday when it became clear it didn’t have the GOP votes to pass, catapulting the conference back to square one with less than a month until the shutdown deadline.
Some Republicans are pushing Johnson to make another attempt at clearing a conservative funding bill, arguing that a successful effort could help strengthen the party’s hand in forthcoming bipartisan negotiations.
Muddying the waters, former President Trump is urging Republicans to vote against any short-term funding bill that does not secure “absolute assurances on Election Security.”
U.S. House speaker withdraws spending bill that would require ID to register to vote • Virginia Mercury Source Link Excerpt:
WASHINGTON — U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson pulled a six-month stopgap spending bill from heading to the floor for a vote Wednesday, scuttling efforts by the GOP to show solidarity behind their plan, which included a provision requiring ID to register to vote in federal elections.
The spending bill, released by House Republicans last week in the heat of a presidential campaign in which immigration is a central focus, had no chance of becoming law amid opposition from Democrats, a cool response from many GOP senators and a veto threat from the Biden administration.
A number of House GOP lawmakers had also come out against the legislation.
Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, told reporters that lawmakers plan to work through the weekend to find a path forward on the stopgap spending bill and language that would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote.

Cornel West disqualified from Georgia’s ballot, judge rules – 11 Alive Source Link Excerpt:
The decision means votes for West won’t be counted in Georgia, although his name will remain on ballots because the judge said it’s too late to remove it.
ATLANTA — A Georgia state court judge on Wednesday disqualified independent presidential candidate Cornel West from running for president in the state, ruling that West’s electors didn’t file the proper paperwork.
For now at least, the decision means votes for West won’t be counted in Georgia, although his name will remain on ballots because the judge said it’s too late to remove it.
Fulton County Superior Court Judge Thomas A. Cox ruled it was too late to order new ballots printed, with military and overseas ballots scheduled to be mailed starting Tuesday. Instead, Cox ordered the state to post notices in polling places warning West had been disqualified and votes for him would be void, a common remedy in Georgia for late election changes.
It’s OK To ‘Help’ Mentally Incapacitated Relatives With Ballots– thefederalist.com Source Link Excerpt:
The New York Times encouraged a reader last week to “help” a 97-year-old woman with advanced memory loss — who is “becoming nearly impossible to communicate with” — to complete her ballot.
“When the situation is hazy, my inclination would be to err on the side of helping someone to vote, because voting is such a central form of civic participation,” wrote the Times’ “Ethicist” Columnist Kwame Anthony Appiah.
A reader wrote the Times, saying the grandmother has “advanced” Alzheimer’s and hearing loss. The reader wanted to know if it would be “unethical” to help the elderly woman vote in November, likely having the grandma do “the mechanics of voting” while family members “advise her.”
The reader claimed to have helped the grandmother fill out her absentee ballot in 2020.

The DeKalb County Republican Party has filed a lawsuit against Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger alleging that the encryption keys for the software used in the state’s Dominion Voting System are not stored securely.
The DeKalb GOP wants the Secretary of State’s Office to properly store the encryption keys and “immediately bring the Dominion systems used in Georgia elections into compliance with Georgia law.” The lawsuit alleges that the state’s Dominion system software has been in an “illegal and insecure state since at least 2020,” and that the Secretary of State’s Office has known this since March, 2024.
The DeKalb GOP also wants the Secretary of State’s office to make the Dominion system logs, cast-vote records and ballot images available to itself and the public for inspection within 24 hours of polls closing on Nov. 5.
The lawsuit, filed Aug. 30 in Fulton County Superior Court, was announced by the DeKalb Republican Party on X on Monday. A hearing has been scheduled for Sept. 30.
New rules for ballot drop boxes in Ohio puts restrictions on who can use them – BG Independent News Source Link Excerpt:
The latest attempt to prevent voter fraud in Ohio will make it more difficult for voters to use ballot drop boxes and make more work for election workers across the state.
On Wednesday morning, the Wood County Board of Elections discussed the impact of Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s recent directive that only those people dropping off their own ballots may use the drop box.
That means people dropping off ballots for family members must come into the board of elections during business hours and fill out paperwork attesting to their relationship to the voter. They cannot use the drop off box.
Nearly four million Ohioans voted last November, with approximately 25% voting absentee, according to state data.
So the state directive could mean a lot more work for election workers across the state.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Republican Party sued North Carolina’s elections board on Thursday to block students and employees at the state’s flagship public university from offering a digital identification as a way to comply with a relatively new photo voter ID law.
The Republican National Committee and North Carolina filed the lawsuit in Wake County Superior Court three weeks after the Democratic majority on the State Board of Elections approved the “Mobile UNC One Card” generated by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a qualifying ID.
The law says qualifying IDs must meet several photo and security requirements to be approved by the board. The UNC-Chapel Hill digital ID, which is voluntary for students and staff and available on Apple phones, marks the qualification of the first such ID posted from someone’s smartphone.
DOJ NON-CITIZEN VOTER SHIELD ACTIVATES AS GOP HOUSE POISES TO FAIL SAVE ACT – The DOJ has shot a warning across the bow of states planning to cull their roles of dead and illegal voters, sending out a “guidance” designed to address “limits on when and how jurisdictions may remove voters from their voter lists.” Trump may have indirectly challenged such actions in his recent warning to election cheaters that when he wins he will prosecute them.

Google Blocks AI on Second Trump Assassination Attempt, Favors Leftist Media– www.newsbusters.org Source Link Excerpt:
Gemini’s Censorship: MRC researchers prompted Gemini to answer whether there had been a “second assassination attempt on Donald Trump.” Gemini—one of the most popular and Google’s “most capable” AI chatbots—inexplicably refused to answer the simple question even though it admitted to having real-time information.
“I can’t help with that right now. I’m trained to be as accurate as possible but I can make mistakes sometimes,” the chatbot claimed, before directing MRC to Google Search…
Google Search and the Google News tab Were Not to be Outdone: … Google Search results yielded not a single right-leaning outlet among the five search results displayed, while simultaneously featuring CNN and NBC News twice when queried with “second trump assassination attempt.” Meanwhile, the Google News tab only displayed Fox News once out of nine results for the same query.
In total, Google displayed leftist and center outlets at a staggering 13:1 ratio, according to MRC’s analysis using the AllSides Media Bias Chart…

Federal judge restores Arkansas voter registration ‘Wet Signature’ requirement – KLRT – FOX16.com Source Link Excerpt:
The U.S. Eighth District Court of Appeals on Friday released a decision that handwritten signatures are required on voter registration applications in Arkansas.
U.S. District Judge Timothy Brooks previously placed an injunction against the State Board of Commissioners’ “wet signature” rule in late August, saying voters could submit signatures electronically.

Fears mount that election deniers could disrupt vote count in US swing states – The Guardian Source Link Excerpt:
Fears are rising that the vote count in November’s presidential election could be disrupted as a result of the proliferation of Donald Trump’s lies about stolen elections and rampant voter fraud in the key swing states where the race for the White House will be decided.
A new survey of eight vital swing states reveals that at least 239 election deniers who have signed up to Trump’s “election integrity” conspiracy theories – including the false claim that the 2020 election was rigged against him – are actively engaged in electoral battles this year. The deniers are standing for congressional or state seats, holding Republican leadership positions, and overseeing elections on state and county election boards.
The report by the Center for Media and Democracy (CMD), a watchdog group focusing on special interests distorting US democracy, reveals the extent of denial in the eight critical states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. It shows that corrosive efforts to damage public confidence in elections have proliferated there despite the drubbing the election denial movement received in the 2022 midterms….
“What was striking to us about our research is how much election denialism and the voter fraud lie have infiltrated and taken over the Republican apparatus in each of these critical states,” said CMD’s executive director Arn Pearson.
Election Deniers Want AI Cameras to Stream Footage of Ballot Dropboxes – wired.com Source Link Excerpt:
Engelbrecht has also said the group is looking to roll out dropbox monitoring in multiple states, and mentioned Michigan as a possible location, though most of her focus appears to be on Wisconsin.
In her interview with Wallnau, Engelbrecht added that she was working with “three influential sheriffs” in Wisconsin, though didn’t name them.
WIRED contacted two dozen sheriffs from Wisconsin’s largest counties, but did not find a single one who was going to be part of the monitoring effort. Engelbrecht and Truth the Vote did not respond to multiple requests for comment from WIRED to name the sheriffs who have agreed to be part of the program.
“True the Vote has reached out to the Sheriff’s Office regarding ideas as they relate to election integrity and possible law violations,” Deputy Inspector Patrick R. Esser, from the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, tells WIRED. “True the Vote proposed the idea of donating cameras to the sheriff’s office to monitor election sites, however, the obstacles associated with that idea made it impractical.”
While most sheriff offices WIRED contacted did not respond to requests for comment, a number, including offices in Buffalo County and Polk County, said they had not even heard about the dropbox initiative. “I was unaware of the plan and will not be participating,” Sheriff Mike Osmond from Buffalo County tells WIRED. “I am not sure if they are legal or not but do not have interest in implementing such a program.”
Conservatives expect Johnson will embrace proof-of-citizenship voting in anti-shutdown measure – The Hill
Hard-line conservatives expect Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) will embrace their favored tactic by bringing a stopgap bill to the House floor next week that includes a proof-of-citizenship voting bill and would extend government funding into 2025.
Such a move would not only grant a win to the House GOP’s conservative wing, but would tee up a showdown with the Democratic-controlled Senate and White House, which both object to the voting bill. Congress faces a Sept. 30 deadline to prevent a shutdown.
Johnson’s office has not confirmed the funding plan, but Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) — a key member of the House Freedom Caucus who has been in discussions with leadership as he advocates for the strategy — is publicly expressing confidence about the next step.
It’s Schumer’s Fault If Government Shuts Down over Noncitizens Voting – breitbart.com
LAS VEGAS, Nevada — Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) told reporters at the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) annual leadership meeting that if Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) refuses to allow a vote on a bill to require proof of citizenship to vote in U.S. elections, and the government shuts down as a result, that will be his own fault.
Scott was referring to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, also known as the SAVE Act, which “requires individuals to provide documentary proof of U.S. citizenship in order to register to vote in federal elections.”
As Breitbart News has reported, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson (R-LA) is considering attaching the SAVE Act to a stopgap spending measure that would have to be signed by September 30 to keep the federal government open.
Scott told Breitbart News that Johnson was moving ahead with the idea in the House: “I think he has the votes.”
Asked whether there was some risk to Republicans of a government shutdown ahead of the presidential election, Scott suggested that if Schumer allowed a shutdown over non-citizens voting, Democrats would suffer instead.
Dems Will Reject Chance To Keep Noncitizens Out Of Elections – thefederalist.com
All but five Democrats voted in July against the Republican-led Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would require documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote. But Speaker Mike Johnson is reportedly giving Democrats another opportunity to safeguard our elections by tying the bill to a continuing resolution (CR) that would keep the government funded through March.
After Democrats let millions of illegal immigrants into the country, Republicans introduced the SAVE Act. Currently, voters must simply check a box affirming they are a citizen when registering to vote — nothing more than the honor system.
Johnson, according to Punchbowl News, is planning on tying the CR to the SAVE Act. Utah Sen. Mike Lee previously expressed support for tying the two together, telling Fox News in August that attaching the legislation to the spending bill is “the best way to move that through, to make sure that the 10 million plus illegal immigrants who have come in in the last 3 and a half years, and the estimated roughly 30 million noncitizens total in the United States aren’t voting in this November’s election.”
President Joe Biden has vowed to veto the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, which simply requires proof of citizenship to register to vote in federal elections. His promise was made in reaction to congressional Republicans who want to include it with any continuing resolution required to fund the next fiscal year, which begins on Oct. 1. The president’s adamant opposition to what most Americans support demonstrates just how much Democrats are dedicated to making it easier to cheat in elections.
On Dec. 16, 2020, as chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, I held a hearing titled, “Examining the Irregularities in the 2020 election.” In spite of the wailing and gnashing of teeth from the election irregularity deniers, there were many indisputable irregularities.
In Wisconsin, 170,000 faulty absentee ballots in Milwaukee and Dane County were improperly counted by election clerks. Representatives of the far-left “Zuckerbucks” program — which is designed to pour left-wing dollars into local election offices, benefiting their Democrat candidates — imposed such heavy-handed direction in Green Bay that the local election clerk resigned from the stress and allowed Zuckerberg’s minions to run the election. “Democracy in the Park” was allowed in Madison, where activists unlawfully collected 17,300 ballots. Seniors in nursing homes voted without the required voting deputies present, bordering on elder abuse for political gain. As was the case in other states, election observers were not allowed to effectively observe the election process.
Biden Admin Dismisses Noncitizen Voting As ‘Already Illegal’ – thefederalist.com
White House Press Sec. Karine Jean-Pierre reassured reporters Tuesday that “it is already illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections.” Cue the nationwide sigh of relief: At last, we can sleep easy knowing noncitizens won’t vote, because — surprise! — it’s against the law.
But do you know what else is also “already illegal?”
Drunk driving. Yet roughly one million people are arrested each year in the United States for drunk driving, according to Better Life Recovery & Wellness, and “results from surveys show that this number represents only a small portion of the actual number of alcohol-impaired drivers behind the wheel each year.”
It’s also “already illegal” for someone under the age of 21 to buy or drink alcohol, yet 12.6 million people between the ages of 12 and 20 have reported having at least one alcoholic drink in their life, according to the 2023 National Survey on Drug Use and Health.
RNC Appeals PA Court Decision That Scrapped Ballot Dating Rule – thefederalist.com
After a court in Pennsylvania scrapped enforcement of a law requiring that mail-in ballots be properly dated in order to be counted, the Republican National Committee is asking the state supreme court to weigh in.
The RNC, joined by the Republican Party of Pennsylvania, intervened in the case brought by multiple left-wing groups (represented by the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania), while the counsel of Secretary of State Al Schmidt (a Republican official named as defendant in the suit) filed a brief in support of the petitioners.
“We have reached a point of true absurdity in election law litigation. A court that does not even have jurisdiction over this matter somehow concluded that asking people to write down a date on the envelope in which they transmit their mail-in ballots imposes a ‘severe burden’ on their ability to vote,” Derek Lyons, president and CEO of Restoring Integrity and Trust in Elections and former counselor to President Donald Trump, told The Federalist.
“Let’s be clear: Even second-graders know how to write the date on their schoolwork, so every adult voter can do likewise on their ballot envelope with no trouble whatsoever. Next, we will find out that asking people to mark their own ballots is also a constitutional violation. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court must act quickly to reverse this decision and end this madness.”
Pennsylvania fails to resolve key election disputes ahead of 2024 voting– Washington Examiner
Early voting is poised to get underway in several states this month. The Washington Examiner will take a closer look at the swing states, including voting rules you need to know and key differences from prior elections. Part three of Battleground Ballots will focus on what has changed in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state that is likely to determine which candidate wins the presidency.
Pennsylvania is poised to face many of the same challenges in 2024 that it experienced in the 2020 election which led to the state not being called for President Joe Biden until days after Election Day.
The dayslong delay in determining the winner sparked widespread accusations of voter fraud in Pennsylvania, leading to the Keystone State being among the battleground states that faced lawsuits from former President Donald Trump’s campaign in 2020. Four years later, state legislators have failed to resolve the key disputes over ballot tabulation and certification that prompted the backlog.
Pennsylvania has established itself as the cornerstone of the 2024 election, with its 19 electoral votes and battleground status making it among the biggest prizes on election night and crucial to winning the presidency. The state was paramount to Trump’s victory in 2016 as well as Biden’s in 2020, prompting both parties to pour millions of dollars into the state to secure a pathway to the White House.
Some changes have been made in the state since 2020, such as a lower court ruling last week that would require counties to notify voters if their ballots are at risk of being rejected. Another ruling passed down last week would overturn a state requirement to throw out ballots if they are not correctly dated.
Fake ‘Non-Partisan’ Voter Registration Group Rigging Outreach to Exclude Republicans – lidblog.com
The Voter Participation Center claims to be a non-partisan voter registration outfit. But they are liars because an expose of their outreach shows they only work to register new Democrat voters.
According to the expose published by the Washington Free Beacon, this group is spending millions of Facebook ads to get new voters to use their voter registration system. But they are rigging their ads to exclude Facebook users whose Facebook data shows are right leaning people.
It appears that the group is making sure people whose Facebook data shows like things including Jeeps, NASCAR, and golf are excluded from their ad outreach.
Per The Beacon:
The Voter Participation Center is a self-described “non-partisan” charity that claims to have helped more than six million people register to vote since its inception in 2003. The group’s claim to be “non-partisan” is important because the IRS is clear that charities, beneficiaries of generous tax exemptions, can only engage in voter registration drives in a “neutral, non-partisan manner.” The IRS prohibits charities from engaging in voter registration activities in a manner that favors a candidate or political party.
On the surface, the Voter Participation Center’s Facebook ads appear to meet that non-partisan standard. “It’s quick and easy to register online to vote in Georgia. Check it off your to-do list in just a few minutes here,” reads one of the organization’s ads that has received over one million impressions in the swing state.
But behind the scenes, Facebook ad library data indicate the Voter Participation Center’s ad campaign is deployed with partisan intent. The group has instructed Facebook to exclude from the reach of its ads anyone with expressed interests in 26 categories typically associated with Republican men, including the “PGA Tour,” “Indianapolis 500,” “Daytona 500,” “Tom Clancy,” “Modified Jeeps,” “Duck Dynasty,” and others.
RNC Urges Election Officials To Scrutinize Dem-Aligned Group Registering Patients To Vote in Hospitals – freebeacon.com
The Republican National Committee on Tuesday sent letters to election officials in six swing states urging them to monitor Vot-ER, the nonprofit that helps doctors register their patients to vote, for possible violations of election law, according to copies of the letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon.
Addressed to secretaries of state in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, Arizona, and Nevada, the letters argue that Vot-ER is “weaponizing the healthcare system” for partisan ends and “threatening … election integrity” with its materials, which have been used to register patients in emergency rooms, substance abuse clinics, and even psychiatric hospitals.
“It is not difficult to imagine how a patient could feel pressured to register to vote or support a certain candidate to receive medical care,” the letters say. “The RNC is and always has been a staunch supporter of voter registration and participation, but this perversion of the doctor-patient relationship raises serious legal concerns given the laws and regulations governing that relationship and voter registration.”
Michigan Court of Appeals Rules to Remove RFK Jr. from Presidential Ballot Amid Tight Race – Hoodline Excerpt: Source Link
In a recent turn of events, Michigan’s Court of Appeals has decided that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s name should be stricken from the state’s upcoming November presidential ballot. This ruling, delivered on Friday, countervails a prior determination from the Michigan Court of Claims which had posited that Kennedy, despite his desired withdrawal from the race, must be included on the ballot—itself a reflection of the Michigan Secretary of State’s stance.
Battleground ballots: 2024 election to test Michigan’s new voting laws – washingtonexaminer.com
Early voting is poised to get underway in several states this month. The Washington Examiner will take a closer look at the swing states, including voting rules you need to know and key differences from prior elections. Part four of Battleground Ballots will focus on what has changed in Michigan, a key battleground state that has been key to winning the blue wall in recent cycles.
The legal framework governing how Michigan residents vote has been drastically overhauled since 2020, with November’s election representing a pressure test for the new system.
Since 2020, Michigan has introduced a raft of new voting laws after the state passed a ballot proposal in 2022 amending its constitution, according to Erica Peresman, a senior adviser to Promote the Vote, a coalition of Michigan organizations focused on voting.
Chief among the changes is that every municipality in Michigan is now required to offer early voting for at least nine consecutive days starting on the second Saturday before Election Day and ending on the Sunday before Nov. 5 for at least eight hours each day. That is in addition to no-reason absentee voting, which Michigan has had statewide since 2019.
Judge Rules Election Officials CAN’T Reject Online Voter Registrations with Electronic Signatures in Arkansas – conservativeroof.com
Obama-appointed Judge Timothy L. Brooks has potentially paved the way for voter fraud in Arkansas.
On Thursday, Judge Brooks decided that Arkansas election officials must accept online voter registration applications signed with digital or electronic signatures for the upcoming election. This ruling overturns a previous requirement that called for handwritten signatures to verify voter authenticity…
Judge Brooks, aligning with far-left advocacy groups such as Get Loud Arkansas (GLA) and Vote.org, chose to block the rule. In his decision, Brooks argued that the “wet signature” requirement could potentially violate the Materiality Provision of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
“The Court then ORDERED from the Bench that Defendants, (and their respective agents, officers, employees, and successors, and all persons acting in concert with each or any of them) were PRELIMINARILY ENJOINED from enforcing the wet signature rule AND from rejecting or refusing to accept any voter registration application on the ground that it was signed with a digital or electronic signature,” Brooks said in its ruling.
PA Dems Recruited Out-Of-State Poll Watchers, Defying Law – thefederalist.com
It was kind of weird when the Pennsylvania Department of State started a website in February specifically aimed at “combatting damaging misinformation and disinformation” about election integrity.
Weird, because, as a check and balance, the media is supposed to watchdog the government (although too often they don’t) and yet this is a government-run website telling the public that the government is doing things right. It’s akin to state-run media openly favored by socialist regimes.
Now the Republican National Committee (RNC) sent an Aug. 29 letter to the Pennsylvania Department of State asking it to add misinformation it discovered to the state website. It was an opportunity for the Department of State to let its election misinformation website shine.
The RNC noticed the Pennsylvania Democrats’ website had a recruitment ad seeking volunteers to join its “Voter Protection Team” to watch the vote. A screenshot saved by the RNC shows the website said, “Election Day poll observers must be physically present in Pennsylvania for their shift but do not necessarily have to be Pennsylvania voters.”
AZ Counties Are Failing To Take Nonctizens Off Voter Rolls – thefederalist.com
Arizona’s 15 counties are refusing to undertake required procedures to ensure foreign nationals are removed from the voter rolls, an “amended” lawsuit filed Tuesday alleges.
Brought on behalf of the Strong Communities Foundation of Arizona and resident Yvonne Cahill, the legal challenge argues that the Grand Canyon State’s 15 election recorders “have failed to take the actions required by law to ensure that foreign citizens are removed from their voter rolls.” Plaintiffs are represented by America First Legal (AFL) and a law firm headed by former Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright.
“This lawsuit seeks to restore public trust in our State’s electoral system by holding the Defendants accountable for their failures and to ensure that the list maintenance required by the law—and common sense—is performed,” the filing reads.
Tuesday’s challenge is an “amended” version of a complaint filed against Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer early last month, according to a press release from AFL regarding the lawsuit.
Plaintiffs similarly alleged that Richer “ignored” his legally mandated obligation to “ensure” the removal of noncitizens from the locality’s voter rolls. A representative from Richer’s office previously told The Federalist that, while Richer had yet to be served the suit at that point, the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office “prioritizes and prides itself on maintaining accurate, up-to-date voter rolls,” and “will continue to follow the letter of the law.”
The Left Is Attempting To Take Over Local Election Offices – thefederalist.com
Democrats have been on a swing-state crusade to rid election boards of anyone who is more concerned with the fairness and accuracy of our elections than with making sure the Democrat comes out on top. The left’s strategy is predictable yet effective. Utilizing a sophisticated information campaign that includes law articles, op-eds, boots-on-the-ground activism, and large amounts of funding from a handful of elite megadonors, the crusade targets GOP candidates at the local level, as Politico recently reported.
The assault seeks to guarantee a Democrat victory regardless of the outcome. Activist groups armed with millions in dark money promote down-ballot candidates and pop-up, astroturfed organizations, all run and funded by the same entities, with the goal of unseating Republican candidates who champion election integrity. These same groups work to make election boards a toothless rubber stamp on election results, regardless of glaring irregularities or inconsistencies in the process.
Their efforts follow a well-established pattern. For years, the left covertly poured millions into district attorney races, engaging in what Politico called a “quiet overhaul of the U.S. Justice System.” The strategy was clear: Pick the prosecutor. Pick what’s prosecuted.
Guidance on mail-in ballot envelopes issued by North Carolina’s Democrat-controlled election board violates state law, a legal challenge filed Tuesday alleges.
Brought by the Republican National Committee, North Carolina GOP, and a state resident, the lawsuit alleges that the rules put forward by the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) governing absentee ballot security envelopes contradict statutory requirements approved by the state general assembly. Individual members of the NCSBE are named as defendants in the suit.
At issue is a 2021 memo issued by the board to local election officials that plaintiffs argue “undermines the protections afforded by the General Assembly’s carefully drafted absentee-voting statutes.”
Kamala Harris’ Lead Vanishes, Hit Hard by New Polls as Trump’s Momentum Takes Over
New polling shows that Vice President Kamala Harris’ slight lead over former President Donald Trump in battleground states has evaporated, despite nearly a solid month of positive media coverage since entering the race.
Previous polling by the Cook Political Report published last week had Harris ahead of Trump in Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to Axios.
Similarly a New York Times/Siena College poll, also released last week, found Harris with a slight lead in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
However, a newer survey conducted by Navigator Research published Tuesday shows the race is essentially tied across Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
Broken down individually, Trump is ahead of Harris by one percentage point in Arizona (46 to 45 percent) and two points in Pennsylvania (46 to 44 percent), while the other three states are tied.
Trump Says He Would Be Open To A Cabinet Position For RFK Jr. Amidst Endorsement Rumors
Former President Donald Trump told reporters that he would be open to offering independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a spot in his cabinet if he suspends his campaign and endorses the former president.
“I like him, I respect him,” Trump told CNN’s Kristen Holmes during a campaign stop in Michigan.
“He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a very smart guy. I’ve known him for a very long time,” the Republican presidential nominee added. “I didn’t know he was thinking about getting out, but if he is thinking about getting out, certainly I’d be open to it.”
Trump’s comments come after Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, revealed during a podcast appearance Tuesday that Kennedy is considering an exit. The campaign is currently debating whether to stay in the race, or suspend operations and endorse former President Trump.
“There’s two options that we’re looking at,” Shanahan said. One option would involve staying in the race in order to lay the groundwork for another bid in 2028, “or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump,” Shanahan explained.
Georgia Election Board Puts Dent in Democrat Plans to Cheat in Elections
The Georgia State Election Board has implemented a reform that will make it a little bit harder for Democrats to cheat in this year’s elections.
The SEB adopted a new rule that would limit the number of votes in each district to the number of actually registered voters that area has in the system. So, the number of ballots would have to be the same or fewer than the number of voters.
The rule ensures that counties comply with Georgia state code. It comes after Fulton County was found to have likely scanned thousands of ballots twice in a recount of the 2020 election.
“The purpose of the rule is to ensure that county superintendents and boards of elections follow the required procedures and can uniformly, properly, and lawfully fulfill their duties, and reconcile the number of ballots to the number of voters so that certification of election results accurately reflects the will of the voters in every county,” the rule reads.
“The rule is built on basic, kindergarten math,” Election Integrity Network Founder Cleta Mitchell said Monday. “Count the number of voters, confirm that the number of voters match the number of ballots. Those numbers should match and should be the same as the number of votes tabulated. The duty for election officials to certify CORRECT results is required under the statute. The rule just makes sure it happens in every county.”
While some delegates refused to select the Democrat Party’s handpicked nominee, Kamala Harris, in protest over their support for the antisemitic death cult, Hamas, the rest of the delegates got in line and “chose” Vice President Kamala Harris as the party’s nominee. She accomplished this without receiving a single primary vote from the Democrat voters. The ratings reached new lows, seeing a decrease in 22 percent from the 2016 DNC. The acceptance speech was short and vague, as would be expected from what many are calling a DEI hire.
The tone of the convention was anti-Trump, with little offered in the way of policy, probably because their policies are hardly popular, outside of their commitment to keep the murdering of unborn children legal. They did offer the shadow of a Nazi slogan, “strength through joy,” though they didn’t say the full phrase, they only demonstrated in their constant use of the word “joy” to describe their political activism.
Biden was pushed aside, given a late night slot in which he chose to spread the terroristic lie that Donald Trump called Nazis “fine people,” while Kamala Harris repeated the lie that Donald Trump will follow the Heritage Foundation’s Agenda 2025. Most of the speakers spread fear and hate in an effort to scare Americans to vote for them to protect them against demons that are either not real or ones created by them.
DNC Posts Lackluster Ratings, Down 22 Percent From 2016
Ratings for night one of the Democratic National Convention were slightly up from 2020, though overall ratings remain down significantly since 2016.
The first night of the DNC drew an average of 20.3 million viewers Monday, ranking slightly higher than the opening night of the Republican National Convention, which took place just days after former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated.
Monday night’s coverage also served as President Biden’s farewell address to the party after he announced he would be suspending his re-election campaign, giving the first night an added draw over the RNC.
Nielson ratings account for coverage from ABC (2.8 million), CBS (2 million), NBC (1.8 million), Scripps News, Univision, CNN (3.2 million), CNNe, Fox Business, Fox News Channel (2.4 million), MSNBC (4.6 million), Newsmax, NewsNation, and PBS. The numbers account for viewers tuning in between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Central Time.
The numbers are likely higher for both conventions, as Nielson ratings do not factor in significant numbers of online and live-streaming viewers.
Even the Media Is Flipping Out About the Total Dysfunction at the DNC
The Democratic National Convention is so typical of Democrats. They want to tell you it’s about “joy.”
But meanwhile, behind the scenes and frankly spilling out in front of the scenes are protests, backstabbing, drama, division, and complete dysfunction. These are the folks who want your vote, but they can’t even put on a simple event without it being a complete mess.
We’ve reported on some of the mess already, including things running late on Monday night, so that Joe Biden’s address was pushed back until very late in the evening.
But it turns out there’s even more of a mess than that — even basic things like just getting the mechanics right.
The DNC is the worst event I’ve ever been to. People are getting trampled, jumping over barriers.
Floor delegate behind me just called it “absolute chaos,” another said “a really bad system in terms of somebody getting trampled”
I’m legitimately shocked at how catastrophic the logistics of the DNC are. I’m talking to an Illinois State Rep, Cyril Nichols (D), who has given up on trying to get in. “This is horrible,” he says, pointing out other State Reps still stuck on the endless “line” to nowhere pic.twitter.com/bzEKbA0Snj
Kamala Humiliated After DNC’s Official Platform Lists BIDEN As Nominee
The kinks are still being worked out at the Democratic National Convention as things kick off on Monday in Chicago. In a sign of how badly the party is underperforming, the party’s national platform was displayed for all to see still listing President Joe Biden as the nominee.
A screenshot of the platform was grabbed and shared widely online where observers noted President Biden was listed as the nominee throughout the multi-page document. The platform traditionally plays host to shared policy statements, goals, and values for both the Republican and Democratic Parties and are adopted or revamped during presidential elections. Delegates on the floor at this week’s Democratic convention are expected to endorse motions including expanded protections for transgender Americans and calling for a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war. Embarrassing oversights list Biden as the party’s champion on cancer research, infrastructure investments, and increases taxes on corporations.
Democrats’ 2024 Platform Seeks To Eliminate Due Process Protections For College Students
The Democrat’s 2024 platform promises to remove constitutional due process protections for college students after the Trump administration ensured them.
In a section about President Joe Biden purportedly protecting women, the platform said Biden had “restor[ed] and strengthen[ed] protections under Title IX, including explicit protections for LGBTQI+ students,” even though those “protections” have been blocked by the Supreme Court.
Title IX is a federal statute that prohibits entities that receive public funding from discriminating based on sex.
Before the Supreme Court stepped in, 26 states had blocked the rules from going into effect.
Democrat Platform Full Of Delusions About Who Are The Bad Guys
Asking Kamala Harris and Democrats to fix the mess they’ve made over the past few years is kind of like asking Agent Orange to cure non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
The Democratic National Committee, with the complicit assistance of the accomplice media, is spending the better part of this week in Democrat-destroyed Chicago proclaiming that the same party that through a soft coup removed its inconveniently senile leader is the sentinel of democracy.
The packaged delusion begins where you might expect — the preamble to the 2024 Democratic Party platform. Really, the opening paragraph is enough to boggle the mind.
“Our nation is at an inflection point. What kind of America will we be? A land of more freedom, or less freedom? More rights or fewer? An economy rigged for the rich and powerful, or where everyone has a fair shot at getting ahead? Will we lower the temperature in our politics and come together, or treat each other as enemies instead?” the overture to this insane leftist opera asks.
DNC’s unrevised platform allows Kamala Harris to ‘stay vague,’ hide policy from American people: CNN
On CNN, hosts discussed how with the Democratic platform still having many mentions of President Joe Biden along with policy positions, Kamala Harris can “stay vague” about the specifics of her policy agenda going into the Democratic National Convention (DNC).
The comments came from Jake Tapper, who said that having Biden mentioned would leave policies for Harris “vague” and “unspecific,” and allowed the campaign to place blame on Biden.
Tapper during CNN’s coverage of the first day of the DNC said, “President Biden dropped out of the race a month and a day ago. You wouldn’t know that if you read the Democratic platform because it repeatedly refers to President Biden’s second term.” The platform refers to Biden’s second term around 19 times.
CNN’s David Chalian responded, telling others on the panel, “The idea of reopening the platform to try to fit in not yet fully developed Kamala Harris policies, while they were quickly changing, they thought they would be opening a can of worms, right? And that there would be all of a sudden some fights about what goes in the platform and they wanted to avoid that at all costs.” He added that the Democrats were willing to take the hit on the platform not being updated.
‘Squad’ Members Rally Around Uncommitted Delegates Staging DNC Sit-In Over Lack of Speaker Slot
CHICAGO—Several members of the left-wing “Squad,” including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), joined uncommitted Democratic National Convention delegates who staged a sit-in outside the United Center over the party’s denial of their request for a speaking slot.
Omar and Rep. Summer Lee (D., Pa.) sat with the delegates near the north entrance to the United Center, where vice presidential nominee Tim Walz spoke Wednesday evening. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) called in to endorse the demonstration, and Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.) and Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) expressed solidarity.
Kamala HUMILIATED After Dozens Of DNC Delegates Refuse To Support Her
At the Democratic National Convention, delegates took part in a symbolic roll call vote, echoing their earlier decision to nominate Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democrat presidential candidate. However, some DNC delegates have expressed their hesitations about casting their vote for Harris, as they remain uncommitted until their concerns regarding Gaza are addressed.
The vote, merely a formality following a virtual nomination earlier this month, saw 44 delegates choose to vote “present,” a Daily Caller review reported.
The “uncommitted” trend began with February’s Listen to Michigan campaign, a grassroots initiative that rallied voters to make protest votes during the state’s primary. Surpassing expectations, the campaign secured more than 13 percent of the vote. Building on this momentum, the movement spread nationally, prompting voters in liberal states like Hawaii, Washington, and Minnesota to cast enough “uncommitted” ballots to send similarly minded delegates to the convention.
Members of the pro-Palestinian ‘uncommitted’ movement gathered for a rally at a park near the DNC, pushing for the inclusion of a Palestinian-American speaker at the Democratic convention. At the rally on Wednesday, they amplified their calls for Democrat leaders to intensify efforts to end the conflict in Gaza.
Tim Walz accepts Democratic Party nomination for vice-president
The governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, has formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for vice-president alongside Kamala Harris. Walz spoke to an energetic crowd on day 3 of the Democratic National Convention, following speeches by Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, TV host Oprah Winfrey, and former president Bill Clinton.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s Midwestern charm had already won over the crowd at the Democratic National Convention before he walked onto the stage Wednesday night to accept the party’s nomination for vice president.
Tim Walz dances around controversy during DNC speech, mentions IVF; wife references ‘command sergeant major’ rank
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) formally accepted the Democratic vice presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday night.
The evening’s theme was “a fight for our freedoms,” and Walz gave a speech thanking Vice President Kamala Harris (D) for inviting him to be a part of the campaign and President Joe Biden (D) for his leadership.
“It’s the honor of my life to accept your nomination for the vice president of the United States,” Walz said.
Walz went on to talk about growing up in a small town, serving in the military, teaching, and running for Congress.
“Then I came back to serve as governor, and we got right to work making a difference in our neighbors’ lives,” Walz stated. “We cut taxes for the middle class. We passed paid family and medical leave. We invested in fighting crime and affordable housing. We cut the costs of prescription drugs and helped people escape the kind of medical debt that nearly sank my family. And we made sure that every kid in our state gets breakfast and lunch every day.”
“So while other states were banning books from their schools, we were banishing hunger from ours,” he continued. “We also protected reproductive freedom because in Minnesota we respect our neighbors and the personal choices they make.”
“And even if we wouldn’t make those same choices for ourselves, we’ve got a golden rule: Mind your own damn business,” Walz declared before reaffirming his support for in vitro fertilization.
“This is a big part of what this election is about: freedom,” Walz remarked.
Tim Walz Bashes JD Vance for Going to Yale — After Following Long List of Yale Speakers
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz bashed rival Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) for attending Yale — after Walz followed a long list of Yale- and Ivy-League-educated speakers at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Illinois, on Wednesday.
“I grew up in Butte, Nebraska. A town of 400 people,” Walz said, continuing: “I had 24 kids in my high school class. And none of them went to Yale.”
Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, has frequently attacked Vance, the Republican nominee for the position, as if he were an elitist for going to Yale, despite the fact that Vance grew up in poverty in rural America.
But Walz’s predecessors onstage at the convention included a large number of Yale and Ivy League graduates — on Wednesday night alone:
Jaime Harrison, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee (Yale)
Virginia McGregor, Treasurer of the Democratic National Committee (Harvard)
Alexis McGill Johnson, President and CEO of Planned Parenthood (Yale and Princeton)
Cecile Richards, past President of Planned Parenthood (Brown)
Joe Biden Uses ‘Very Fine People’ Hoax in DNC Farewell Speech
President Joe Biden invoked the “very fine people hoax” in his farewell address to the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, using a proven lie, once more, that has been repeatedly debunked, to his face.
The hoax claims that President Donald Trump referred to neo-Nazis who rioted in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 as “very fine people.” In fact, as the transcript of his remarks shows, Trump condemned them “totally.”
Biden used the hoax to launch his campaign in April 2019. Breitbart News confronted him directly in August 2019 with the evidence that Trump had, in fact, condemned the neo-Nazis. Biden denied it and repeated the hoax again.
Since then, the hoax has been debunked, repeatedly — including, most recently, by the left-leaning Snopes website.
Former President Trump debunked the hoax during his recent debate with Biden; former Vice President Mike Pence did so during his 2020 debate with then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA); it was debunked on national television during Trump’s second impeachment trial.
Yet Biden has continued to repeat the lie, almost verbatim — although he has recently added the claim that the Ku Klux Klan paraded “without hoods” because they saw an ally in Trump.
Biden Goes Off-Script in DNC Speech to Appease Pro-Hamas Agitators
As his administration seeks to negotiate an end to the war in Gaza, President Joe Biden slipped a shout-out to anti-Israel protesters into his Monday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.
The convention has been besieged by pro-Hamas protesters who want progressive Vice President Kamala Harris, the party’s nominee, to drag the party further to the left in its rejection of Israel.
On Monday night, Biden said he feels their pain.
“We’re working around the clock, my Secretary of State, to prevent a wider war and reunite hostages with their families and surge humanitarian health and food assistance into Gaza now, to end the civilian suffering of the Palestinian people and finally, finally, finally deliver a ceasefire and end this war,” Biden said in a clip of his speech posted to X.
“The protesters on the street have a point.”
The ones wearing Hamas headbands, waving Hezbollah flags, and screaming “intifada”?
This from a man who claims to be a Zionist.
This should be Biden’s “fine people on both sides” moment with one difference: he actually said it. pic.twitter.com/KkwGzMbIjw
Joe Biden’s mention of the Israel/Hamas war during his DNC speech proved again that except for the first month and a half after October 7, Biden has never been pro-Israel. Amazingly, despite his advanced dementia, he remembered the Democratic rule of talking about Israel. Omitting or bending facts, half-truths, or even lying in an attempt to seem fair but actually trying to promote an anti-Israel position.
Allow me to explain. This President Lame Duck said to the Democratic Party convention on August 19. Well, not exactly. His loving party allowed him to start his speech at 11:30 EDT and end it on August 20.
Per “The Lid” tradition, the black type is Biden’s speech, and the red words are my comments, which are responses to particular phrases in Biden’s speech (those phrases are in bold). It is presented as a response to Joe even though he is not a big reader of The Lid.
“And we’ll keep working to bring hostages home...Gee Joe, who took those hostages, and who are causing many of their deaths? How many? Do you know It could be as few as 50per U.S. sources. …end the war in Gaza... Mr. President, this was an excellent time to remind America that the conflict began with a horrible Hamas terrorist attack. Oh, wait! I apologize. I forgot they are no longer called terrorists. They are militants, just like George Washington in the Revolutionary War...bring peace and security to the Middle East…President Trump left you an excellent strategy called theAbraham Accords, and it was working, but you ignored it. Was it because you wanted your far-left base to know you heard their cries of “Orange Man Bad.”.
DNC Gives a Hilarious Excuse for Running Late and Delaying Biden’s Speech, but No One Is Buying It
As I wrote earlier, I don’t know what they were thinking when they made the schedule for the speakers on Day 1 of the DNC. It ran far too long, with folks like Sen. Raphael Warnock going on and on, and the program running very late. Joe Biden, who was supposed to be the featured speaker of the night, in what was supposed to be something of a wrap up of his 50 years in government was forty minutes late as a consequence. He was supposed to go on at 10:50 p.m. ET, he didn’t go on until about 11:30 p.m.
But the excuse the DNC released to explain why Biden was pushed to such a late time was just ridiculous.
New DNC statement from convention officials explaining why the program ran so late tonight:
“Because of the raucous applause interrupting speaker after speaker, we ultimately skipped elements of our program to ensure we could get to President Biden as quickly as possible so…
“Because of the raucous applause interrupting speaker after speaker, we ultimately skipped elements of our program to ensure we could get to President Biden as quickly as possible so that he could speak directly to the American people. We are proud of the electric atmosphere in our convention hall and proud that our convention is showcasing the broad and diverse coalition behind the Harris-Walz ticket throughout the week on and off the stage.”
Biden Seen Crying During DNC Walkout as Kamala Harris Will Soon Replace Him
In case you missed a lot of what happened at the Democratic National Convention on Monday, don’t worry. Our president probably did, too.
The one difference between you and Joseph Robinette Biden, however, is the fact that the latter was giving the biggest speech of the DNC’s first night. It was predictably Bidenesque.
It’s telling, in fact, that Biden got shafted with the Monday slot, which is where everyone who the Democrats simply had to make time for — in spite of the fact they likely didn’t want to — was given center stage.
In addition to Biden fulfilling his job as the ghost of election failures present, the ghost of election failures past — Hillary Rodham Clinton, the 2016 Democratic standard-bearer — also spoke.
So did several far-left politicians. Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock, Reps. Jasmine Crockett of Texas and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Mayor Brandon Johnson of Chicago, where the convention is being held, also got time on the program for Monday.
Kamala Harris and Walz skipped Obama’s DNC speech reportedly to avoid Biden’s anger over backstabbing
President Joe Biden said he had no ill will toward those who helped oust him from his re-election campaign, but there may be real anger behind the scenes, according to a report.
‘We are in tricky territory.’
A source familiar with the situation between the Harris-Walz campaign and Biden told Fox News that Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz skipped former President Barack Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention to ease Biden’s anger.
“[The] Obamas are still not on the White House good side. It would not be helpful to their relationships,” the source said.
“We are in tricky territory,” the source added.
Instead of attending Obama’s speech, Harris and Walz were a hundred miles away at a rally in Milwaukee. Their absence helped defuse Biden’s anger by avoiding the optics of the presidential candidates standing on a stage next to the man who led the crusade against Biden.
Barack Obama tells Democrats ‘mutual respect’ should be their message this election
Former President Barack Obama urged all Americans, regardless of their background and political ideology, to unite behind Vice President Kamala Harris in an impassioned speech Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention.
Michelle Obama Voices Support for Childhood Transgenderism at DNC
Former First Lady Michelle Obama appeared to voice support for childhood transgenderism at the Democratic National Convention, accusing former President Donald Trump of “demonizing” children “for being who they are” during her speech.
Obama, who made it her mission during her husband’s tenure to promote healthy lifestyles to children, used her Tuesday night keynote address to say that it is “unpresidential” to speak out against childhood sex changes.
After calling Trump “misogynistic” and “racist,” the former first lady began listing things that do not “make anybody’s life better.”
“…Because gutting our health care, taking away our freedom to control our bodies, the freedom to become a mother through IVF, like I did-those things are not going to improve the health outcomes of our wives, mothers, and daughters,” Obama told the crowd.
“Shutting down the Department of Education, banning our books-none of that will prepare our kids for the future…Demonizing our children for being who they are and loving who they love–look, that doesn’t make anybody’s life better,” she argued.
Former President Barack Obama got some burns in, too, at Tuesday’s Democratic National Convention.
“Here’s a 78-year-old billionaire who has not stopped whining about his problems since he rode down his golden escalator nine years ago,” Obama said.
“It has been a constant stream of gripes and grievances that’s actually been getting worse,” he continued. “The other day, I heard someone compare Trump to the neighbor who keeps running his leaf blower outside your window every minute of every day. Now, from a neighbor, that’s exhausting. From a president, it’s just dangerous.”
Trump’s “a guy whose act has, let’s face it, gotten pretty stale,” Obama said. “We do not need four more years of bluster and bumbling and chaos. We have seen that movie before, and we all know that the sequel is usually worse.”
“America is ready for a new chapter. America is ready for a better story. We are ready for a President Kamala Harris.”
Despite the Clintons’ complicated political and personal histories, the pair are refinding their footing and stepping up as Democratic Party elders.
Eight years after ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s surprise loss to former President Donald Trump, she delivered an impassioned convention speech on Monday predicting that Vice President Kamala Harris would be the woman who shatters the proverbial glass ceiling that she could not. Former President Bill Clinton, whose administration was marred by the Monica Lewinsky scandal before the Me Too movement of 2017, will have a prime-time speaking spot on Wednesday.
Party officials and lawmakers defended the decision to showcase them during this week’s convention despite mixed emotions from Democrats and staunch criticism from Republicans.
Justin Pearson, who rose to national prominence in 2023 after being expelled from and later reinstated to the Tennessee state legislature over his anti-gun violence protests, welcomed the Clintons’ presence in Chicago.
“The momentum that’s being built in the Democratic Party right now can’t be stopped,” Pearson told the Washington Examiner Wednesday outside state delegation breakfasts at a downtown hotel. “I also believe that we have to have the wisdom of the elders and young people’s energy. I think we need to have a combination of folks who have helped to build this party over time, and also people who are rising and growing and learning now.”
Christian leaders condemn free abortion bus by Democratic National Convention
Christian leaders have strongly condemned Planned Parenthood after it deployed a mobile clinic offering free medical abortions and vasectomies, as the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) kicked off in Chicago. The mobile health unit was stationed just a block away from the convention site, providing these services free of charge on August 19-20.
Promoting the event on social media, Planned Parenthood Great Rivers announced: “Here we come, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with [the Chicago Abortion Fund] & [the Wieners Circle], providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion.” The group later confirmed that all available slots had been filled due to overwhelming demand.
Watch: Abortion Pills Protest DNC, Demand Reproductive Justice For Palestine
A bunch of unhinged leftists descended onto the streets in Chicago, as they dressed up as the abortion pill to protest the DNC. However, it’s unclear why they would need to protest the party that is dedicated to abortion all day every day, but a UID attended, too.
The abortion crazies were spotted as part of the larger pro-Palestine protest, because all of a sudden, reproductive justice is also justice for Hamas, as these people couldn’t prove to be more naive if they tried.
Firstly, there are way more masks than there are brain cells. Secondly, don’t you think that the fact that Planned Parenthood offering free abortions at the DNC is enough for these people to be satisfied? It’s not like there’s one single Dem who would try and stand in the way of that.
Thirdly, why do these people always look like that? Do they really think they are saving so much water that monthly showers aren’t even a thought for them?
Additionally, it’s unclear what they think they will accomplish for the people in Gaza, but it’s clear that they have no clue they would be arrested there for acting so foolishly.
DNC 2024: Protests begin calmy third night, after 56 arrests made night prior
More than 1,000 pro-Palestinian protesters marched Wednesday past a park where pro-Israel demonstrators had gathered earlier and toward the arena hosting the third night of the Democratic National Convention.
The demonstration, which stayed largely peaceful, came a day after violent clashes between police and protesters led to 56 arrests.
As marchers passed under a new elevated train station near the United Center that was completed just before the DNC, officers were seen bringing a person to the ground on the platform above. In response, hundreds of protesters pushed against the edge of the station, banging on the glass with their hands and flag poles as they called on police to free the person. The person left through the station’s emergency exit moments later, accompanied by officers but not in handcuffs, prompting cheers from the crowd.
The crowds of pro-Palestinian protesters included many families and people of different faiths. Some kids ate popsicles as they walked, and others were pushed in strollers or rode in wagons. Small groups of Muslims gathered in prayer at a park just ahead of the march’s kickoff, using keffiyeh as prayer rugs. Rabbis were among the leaders of the march, and a small group marched through in the crowd holding a sign that said “Christians for Ceasefire.”
Buses had picked up families and students from area mosques to bring them to the demonstration, including residents of Chicago’s southwest suburbs, which have one of the largest concentrations of Palestinians in the country.
Dozens arrested after pro-Palestinian, anti-DNC protesters clash with CPD
Dozens of people were arrested after clashing with police at an un-permitted protest outside the Israeli Consulate Tuesday night.
The National Lawyers Guild Chicago said at least 72 people were arrested during that protest, while Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling said 56 people, including three journalists, were arrested, after refusing to follow multiple dispersal orders.
Thirty were cited for disorderly conduct – breach of peace, 13 were cited for disorderly conduct – failing to obey a lawful order to disperse, one person was cited for disorderly conduct – failing to obey police and three were cited for resisting police, Chicago police said.
Nine others were charged with misdemeanors.
Twenty two of those arrested are from out of town. Many are from the west coast, according to CPD.
They were brought to Area 3 headquarters, where police have slowly been releasing those arrested one by one Wednesday.
Chaos in Chicago as far-left militants burn American flags, attack journalist, clash with police outside Kamala’s DNC
Pro-Palestinian agitators and police clashed outside Chicago’s Israeli consulate on Tuesday as the Democratic National Convention was underway in nearby United Center. The agitators set an American flag outside the consulate and attacked journalist Ben Bergquam when he attempted to remove the flag from the flames.
One person with a microphone was heard telling the crowd as the flag burned on the ground, “This is what we think of your f*cking flag.”
Lines of riot police and agitators were seen clashing outside the consulate.
Multiple arrests have been made as agitators attempted to make their way through the police line, Julio Rosas documented it for The Blaze. Arrests continued to be made throughout the evening.
Anti-Israel Protesters Disrupt Colbert’s DNC Interview With Pelosi
In yet another example highlighting that the 2024 Democrat National Convention began as a disaster, then went downhill from there, CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert’s live interview with Nancy Pelosi was repeatedly interrupted by anti-Israel agitators, leading the host to plead: “Please don’t interrupt my guest.”
As Pelosi answered Colbert’s question about her reported involvement in the veritable coup that forced Joe Biden to drop out of the race, shouting from the audience could clearly be heard — and it continued throughout the interview.
To Colbert’s credit, he immediately responded to the demonstrators: “For the people who can’t tell, there’s a protest going on in the audience.” And that protest was aimed directly at Pelosi.
Colbert tried to quiet the disturbance at a commercial break, as he then turned to the use of U.S. power overseas.
Let’s talk about another aspect of power: the U.S. using its power overseas. As I said earlier, there is a political protester here. There is a political convention in town, you are a politician and protests are natural. People are protesting, even within the Democratic Party, there is dissension over what is the proper use of American power, especially our protected power overseas, both firm and soft power. If the goal is the peaceful and prosperous future for both Israelis and Palestinians, what role does the United States play?
Kamala Trots Out AOC To Address Anti-Israel Voters at Dem Convention
CHICAGO—Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) touted Vice President Kamala Harris’s support for an Israeli ceasefire in a primetime address to the Democratic National Convention, drawing cheers from the audience at the event’s opening night.
Harris “is as committed to our reproductive and civil rights as she is to taking on corporate greed. And she is working tirelessly to secure a ceasefire in Gaza and bringing hostages home,” Ocasio-Cortez said to loud applause from the crowd in Chicago.
Ocasio-Cortez’s comments were a nod to Democratic voters who have increasingly turned against Israel in recent years. Inside and outside the convention, left-wing protesters railed against the Jewish state, calling on Harris to enact an arms embargo on Israel and pressure its leaders to abandon their battle against Hamas.
The Democratic Party’s decision to tap Ocasio-Cortez for a primetime speaking slot on the convention’s opening night illustrates the growing power of the party’s left wing. During her speech, Ocasio-Cortez sought to portray Democrats as the representatives of the working class and criticized Republicans as the party of the wealthy elite.
“Ever since I got elected, Republicans have attacked me by saying that I should go back to bartending. But let me tell you, I’m happy to any day of the week, because there is nothing wrong with working for a living,” she said.
Democrat-on-Democrat Violence at the DNC: Attendees Unfurl “Stop Arming Israel” Banner During Biden Speech — Man Smacks Woman in Hijab With ‘We Love Joe’ Sign
Tensions flared at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago as party divisions were laid bare in a public display of intra-party conflict.
The incident occurred just as Joe Biden took the stage, when a group of attendees unfurled a large banner reading “Stop Arming Israel” in protest of the regime’s continued support for the Israeli government.
Fake news WaPo reporter Dylan Wells reported that Democrat delegates tried to obstruct the protest banner using their “We Love Joe” signs before the DNC dimmed the lights above the protesters and had them removed from the convention.

Reporter from Zeteo News, Prem Thakker, also described the chaotic scene: “Audience members at the DNC in Chicago unfurl banner that says “Stop arming Israel.” After audience sees the banner, they begin chanting “We love Joe.” Man tries to rip banner away. Stadium lights over this spot then dimmed and banner was ripped away.”

Hillary Clinton, Kamala Harris at the DNC — finally breaking that glass ceiling
“Something is happening in America,” Hillary Clinton told a rapturous crowd at the United Center on the first night of the Democratic convention. “You can feel it. Something we’ve dreamed for a long time.”
Clinton’s speech to Democrats starved for a win was about a lot of things — including electing the first female president.
“Together we’ve put a lot of cracks in the highest, hardest glass ceiling. Tonight, so close to breaking through once and for all, I want to tell you what I see through all those cracks. And why it matters for each and every one of us. What do I see? I see freedom” — for our lives, our loves and our families. And more.
Hillary Clinton Displays Sinister Smile, Nods in Agreement as DNC Crowd Screams Chant Targeting Trump
On Monday, a state senator from Michigan, one Mallory McMorrow, was dragged up on stage at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to beat the left’s favorite dead horse: Project 2025.
Her remarks, like Mallory McMorrow herself, were decidedly not worth mentioning except for one thing: During her speech, she warned that the Project 2025 agenda might — gasp! — allow Donald Trump to use the federal government to go after his enemies.
The GOP’s agenda, she said, would allow Donald Trump “to weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents.”
“He could even even turn the FBI into his own personal police force,” McMorrow said. “That is not how it works in America!“
Some random state senator at the DNC laments that President Trump “could even weaponize the Department of Justice to go after his political opponents!”
That’s weird, since that’s EXACTLY what Kamala Harris and the deranged Democrats have done to President Trump. pic.twitter.com/ISx9gWXk0F
DNC bumped James Taylor due to speech overruns, despite him rehearsing, performing a soundcheck Monday in Chicago
James Taylor was bumped at the DNC last night, and while reports emerged that speeches ran long and there was just no room for the aging folkster, it almost seemed intentional, a message that the old guard, their leaders in both politics and culture, were out for good.
“Veteran singer-songwriter James Taylor, who was slated to perform, got bumped for time as the night ran long. We’ll never know for certain whether he would have matched Kid Rock’s energy,” NPR writes, referencing the energy of the RNC and the performers that graced that stage.
Taylor’s only performance on the Chicago stage on Monday was during a sound check, where he played his iconic “You’ve Got a Friend.” It was scheduled to be sung between speeches given by Biden’s daughter Ashley and wife Jill in the lead up to Biden’s exit speech. It would have been a soft reminder that Biden, the elder statesman, was leaving the party he’d been part of for his enture career, stretching back to the 1970s and Taylor’s own heyday, and led for the past four years.
Phil Murphy Teams Up with Trans Candidate for DNC Moment on LGBTQ Rights
In a moment that was supposed to be all about unity and pride, things didn’t go entirely according to plan when New Jersey’s Governor Phil Murphy was spotlighted at the DNC convention with Dr. Joeigh Perella, a transgender advocate and recent candidate for Cumberland County Commissioner.
Perella, who introduced herself confidently with her pronouns (“she/her”), was all set to make a bold statement in support of the LGBTQ+ community. After all, standing alongside big names like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz is no small feat!
“My name is Dr. Joeigh Perella, pronouns she/her. I’m a proud resident of the Garden State,” she began, earning nods of approval from the virtual audience.
Lawfare Assassin Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney, has announced his office’s intentions to not oppose any delay requests in President Donald Trump’s sentencing hearing, which comes after he was “convicted” of lawfare crimes against the Democrat Party. Bragg wrote “The People defer to the Court on the appropriate post-trial schedule that allows for adequate time to adjudicate defendant’s [presidential immunity] motion while also pronouncing sentence ‘without unreasonable delay,’”
After securing a criminal conviction against former President Donald Trump, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg may now be running cover for Democrats who don’t want to see the Republican jailed before Election Day.
In a filing submitted on Friday, the progressive prosecutor said his office will not oppose a motion by Trump’s attorneys to delay a previously scheduled sentencing hearing on September 18th. The request came following a landmark U.S. Supreme Court ruling granting presidents absolute immunity from official acts performed in office which they argue could be construed to include actions around the hush money payment paid to adult film star Stormy Daniels. In June President Trump was found guilty of felony charges that he orchestrated the payments to assist his 2016 presidential campaign and then ordered the misclassification of the payments on business records. Prosecutors with his office now tell Judge Juan Merchan that discretion around a sentence, which could include jail time, will not include a recommendation from their office.
“The People defer to the Court on the appropriate post-trial schedule that allows for adequate time to adjudicate defendant’s [presidential immunity] motion while also pronouncing sentence ‘without unreasonable delay,’” prosecutors wrote, according to the Washington Examiner.
The notoriously anti-American 9th circuit court of appeals ruled that asking Americans to provide proof of citizenship to vote is inconvenient to the DNC-CCP’s plans to overthrow the republic using non-American votes. At least that’s the interpretation by many critics. The judges ruled because there’s no requirement in Federal laws that Americans provide proof of citizenship that states can’t make the requirement for themselves.
The judges are arguing from silence (a logical fallacy that assumes silence is the same as prohibition or permission). They assume it could EVER be constitutional for the Federal government to write a law preventing states from requiring citizens to prove they ARE citizens before they vote. Of course, that’s not remotely the case, so it goes without saying the two judges who defied basic American jurisprudence voted not for the Constitution, but for the DNC-CCP.
Arizonans who lack proof of citizenship can again sign up to vote in this year’s presidential and congressional races.
The action comes after two of three judges on a panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals late Thursday overturned a ruling to the contrary by a different three-judge panel whose duty it is to rule on pending motions.
The majority of this panel — the one actually assigned to hear the case — concluded the other judges should never have made such a radical change in voting registration rules so soon before the election, saying it would cause chaos.
Thursday’s ruling restored an order issued last year by U.S. District Court Judge Susan Bolton who had concluded that federal law specifically allowed people to register to vote in federal elections without the same kind of proof that Arizona requires of those wanting to cast ballots in state or local elections.
The ruling provoked an angry reaction from Arizona Senate President Warren Petersen who said it is just another example of “the radical 9th Circuit.”
“They routinely engage in judicial warfare to carry out their extremist liberal agenda that’s contrary to the laws our citizens elected us to implement,” said the Gilbert Republican, who vowed to seek immediate review by the U.S. Supreme Court ahead of the November election.
A similar reaction came from Scot Mussi, president of the Arizona Free Enterprise Club, which crafted the 2022 law at issue. He called it “a travesty of law” and “poorly reasoned.”
If you take the counsel of President Joe Biden and U.S. Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD), you would have to believe that if Donald Trump wins the election, the Democrats will not let him take power, or if Harris wins, the Trump supporters are going to start a civil war.
Joe Biden suggested civil war if Trump loses, while Raskin suggested civil war should Trump lose. Raskin’s was worse in that he telegraphed, months before the general election, that the Democrats will ONLY honor the result of the Presidential election if the Democrat wins, yet he continues to walk free despite committing an overt act of treason and voter intimidation, to start.
Biden ‘not confident’ of peaceful transition of power in US
US President Joe Biden took a swipe at Republican nominee Donald Trump in his first interview since dropping out of the race
US President Joe Biden has said he doubts that power will be transferred peacefully in January 2025, after the November presidential election, whether it is won by a Democrat or Republican.
Biden made the statement to CBS News on Wednesday in his first interview since dropping out of the race in July, answering the journalist’s question on whether he thought there would be a peaceful transfer of power.
“If Trump wins, no I’m not confident at all. If Trump loses, I’m not confident at all,” Biden replied.
The US president lamented that the public was not taking Trump’s past comments about a “bloodbath” seriously.
“He means what he says. We don’t take him seriously. He means it. All the stuff about ‘If we lose, there’ll be a bloodbath, it’ll have been a stolen election,’” he said, adding that “you can’t love your country only when you win.”
Rep. Jamie Raskin Predicted ‘Civil War Conditions’ To Come
If you listen to U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the real insurrection will be led by Democrats and it will begin on Jan. 6, 2025 — should the American people dare to elect former President Donald Trump president again.
In a video clip making the rounds Monday on social media, the far left firebrand laments what he characterizes as a lazy U.S. Supreme Court interfering with the Democratic Party’s plan to interfere with the 2024 election.
“And so [the court] want to kick it to Congress, so it’s going to be up to us on Jan. 6, 2025 to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he’s disqualified,” Raskin said in a panel discussion on Feb. 17, as the Supreme Court was mulling the constitutionality of the leftist Colorado secretary of state’s use of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to remove Trump from the state’s presidential primary ballot.
“And then we need bodyguards for everybody and civil war conditions all because nine justices — not all of them, but these justices who have not many cases to look at every year, not much work to do, have a huge staff, great protection — simply do not want to do their job and interpret what the great 14th Amendment means,” Raskin declared at a Washington, D.C. bookstore gathering of self-important leftists.

Raskin Caught On Tape Explaining Democrats’ SHOCKING Plot To Keep Trump Out Of Office
Congressman Jamie Raskin has (D-MD) been caught on tape detailing a controversial plan to prevent former President Donald Trump from assuming the presidency, even if he is selected by American voters. The video captured Raskin discussing what he sees as a constitutional mechanism to disqualify Trump.
Raskin specifically referenced Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, expressing a chilling determination to use Congress as a barrier against Trump’s reinstatement. “What can be put into the Constitution can slip away from you very quickly. And the greatest example going on right now before our very eyes is Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which they’re just disappearing with a magic wand, as if it doesn’t exist, even though it could not be clearer what it’s stating,” Raskin said.
“They want to kick it to Congress. So it’s going to be up to us on January 6, 2025, to tell the rampaging Trump mobs that he’s disqualified and then we need bodyguards.”
Raskin went on to criticize the Supreme Court Justices for their alleged reluctance to interpret the 14th Amendment as he believes they should. “For everybody in civil war conditions all because the nine justices, not all of them, but these justices who have not many cases to look at every year, not that much work to do, a huge staff, great protection, simply do not want to do their job and interpret what the great 14th amendment means,” he said.
Judge Chutkan Rejects Trump’s Motion to Dismiss Election Case, Schedules Status Conference
U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan has set a status conference for mid-August in the case involving classified documents against former President Donald Trump. She also rejected his legal team’s request to dismiss the indictment.
The status conference, scheduled for August 13 at a federal courthouse in Washington, D.C., will cover procedural issues and outline the next steps in the case, according to an order signed by Judge Chutkan on August 3.
Chutkan has directed both the prosecution and defense to file a joint status report by August 9. This report should update the court on the case’s progress and may include details on any agreements or disagreements between the parties, as well as completed tasks and upcoming deadlines.
In the same order, Chutkan granted a temporary delay on the deadlines for briefing on special counsel Jack Smith’s motion to restrict the evidence and arguments that Trump’s legal team can present during the trial, especially those deemed irrelevant or prejudicial by prosecutors.
MSNBC Legal Expert Gives The Left Bad News About Trump’s DC Case
On Monday, legal expert Joyce Vance delivered her distinct opinion on the likelihood of former President Donald Trump’s impending trial in Washington, D.C. taking place before this November’s election. According to Vance, there is “absolutely no chance” of the trial proceeding in that timeframe, setting the stage for more political drama as Trump faces four felony charges related to his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
The scheduled March trial date was previously postponed by District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan while Trump’s appeal regarding presidential immunity was still under consideration. The maneuver effectively delayed any possibility of a trial before the election, a scenario that has significant implications for Trump and the 2024 election.
“So there’s absolutely no chance this one is getting to trial,” Vance started. “That’s because the way the Supreme Court structured this decision, Judge Chutkan will make her rulings and if she permits any of the charges to go forward, any of the allegations in the indictment to remain in place, indicates that the government can use any of this evidence despite Trump’s claims that it’s all now cloaked in presidential immunity, there will be a round two appeal.”
“The way immunity works and the Supreme Court makes this clear. The whole point of having immunity is you shouldn’t have to stand trial for charges that you have immunity from. So Trump will inevitably take objection to anything that she permits to move forward. You know, I look back longingly on our days when we all assumed presidents like anyone else in the country could be prosecuted for criminal conduct.”
Vice President Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her VP pick. Walz was selected over PA Governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, to appease the antisemitic wing of the Democrat party. Walz pretended to serve in combat when he didn’t, passed laws that would kidnap children from parents who refuse to allow them to get castrated by the state in the name of trans fascism, and passed a law allowing illegal aliens to get drivers’ licenses.
He supports post-birth abortion, zero-carbon life-destroying policies, reparations for blacks, anti-white racist policies in government and education, and he delivers a hateful anti-Israel message in support of the bloodthirsty death cult Hamas. His wife reveled in the burning of Minnesota cities under her husband’s watch thanks to the George Floyd hoax, a hoax Tim Walz perpetuated every day.
PITTSBURGH — Vice President Kamala Harris’s pick of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), the two-term governor of Minnesota, was a shot across the bow that this election cycle is going to be a get-out-the-base election rather than the coalition builder Democrats would have enjoyed if she had chosen Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) as her running mate.
Mike Mikus, a Pennsylvania-based Democratic strategist, said this race will look very similar to the election cycle we saw with former President Barack Obama’s 2012 reelection race rather than his 2008 race. In 2008, Obama ran an aspirational race with a message of “Hope and Change” that attracted a sizable amount of working-class “New Deal Democrats” to his coalition; in 2012, he shed those voters in favor of delivering the new base of Democrats called the ascendant coalition that had a heavy focus on minorities, suburban college-educated women, and young people.
As a result of that pitch to the leftward party “base,” Obama became the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to lose voters in his reelection while still winning overall — but as a unique candidate, he was able to pull that base election off.
The next Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton in 2016, was not successful with that shift left. The former first lady, who was less likable and trusted than Obama, fell short because many of those legacy New Deal Democrats had now folded long-term into the Republican Party. Joe Biden was able to bring just enough of them back in 2020, in large part because of the pandemic, but polling leading up to this cycle before the president dropped out of the running in July showed these voters’ disappointment in his left-wing governance.
This has already been a weird election cycle, and no, I’m not talking about anything JD Vance said about cat ladies. It’s the Democrats that are behaving strangely, even for them – and given that they have been maintaining a Weekend at Bernie’s presidency for almost four years, keeping befuddled old Joe Biden in place, insisting he was “sharp as a tack” and “on his game” until they couldn’t hide the fact any longer that His Dessicatedness has lost it. So now they have anointed Joe’s life insurance policy, Kamala Harris, Queen of the Word Salad. And as RedState informed you, she has picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her VP.
Monday, I wrote an article evaluating Kamala Harris’s possible Veep picks. Regarding Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, in particular, I wrote:
Governor Tim Walz: It won’t be Walz. He’s from a reliably blue state and has all the charisma of a lemon peel; he brings literally nothing to the campaign.
I stand by that statement – especially the lemon peel part. So why did Kamala Harris pick the pale, pasty-white, far-left Governor of Minnesota, a state that was sure to go to the Democrats in the Electoral College in any case? And why did Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder, who was in charge of vetting candidates for her, recommend this guy?
Battle of the Midwest running mates: Tim Walz vs. JD Vance
Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as her running mate on Tuesday sets up a Midwestern showdown against Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), former President Donald Trump’s running mate.
Democrats were already rallying around Walz to join the Harris ticket, given his upbeat personality during media interviews as he attacked Trump, Vance, and the rest of the GOP as “weird,” a phrase that is relatable to non-politicos.
“There’s a lot of folks excited about him. I think he’s just a good-natured human being, and I think the party is kind of cherishing that,” said Michael Ceraso, a Democratic strategist. “And I would argue J.D. does come off more contrarian, way more contrarian than Gov. Walz.”
Walz’s Midwestern background has already prompted Democrats to claim he can nullify Vance’s benefits to the Trump campaign as an Ohio legislator who wrote about Appalachia in his book Hillbilly Elegy.
“This is really the guy that J.D. Vance is pretending to be. This is a guy from small-town America who has played by the rules,” Claire McCaskill, former Missouri senator, told MSNBC. “He’s going to be able to go after J.D. Vance and Donald Trump in a way that is really relatable and is kind of in sync with the Kamala Harris campaign.”
Are Most Americans Familiar With Gov. Tim Walz? Here’s What a New Poll Shows
On Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris announced that radical left-wing Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota would be her running mate in the 2024 presidential election.
As Townhall covered, Walz supports abortion up til birth, transgender surgeries for children, socialism, among other things. When the Black Lives Matter militants rioted in his cities over George Floyd’s death, Walz waited days to call in the National Guard. After the riots, Walz admitted that he failed at handling the riots.
A new poll published Tuesday asked respondents if they were familiar with Walz and his record.
The new NPR/PBS News, Marist National poll reviewed by The Hill found that over 70 percent of respondents said that they did not know enough about Walz to have an opinion on him.
In the findings, 71 percent did not know enough about Walz to form an opinion on him. On the contrary, 17 percent of respondents had a favorable opinion of him and 12 percent of respondents viewed him unfavorably.
The same survey found that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shaprio and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly are better known among respondents.
VP Pick Tim Walz Accused of ‘Stolen Valor’ by Former Military Colleagues: ‘He Abandoned Us’
Kamala Harris’ vice presidential pick, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, has come under fire from former military colleagues for allegedly ducking out on a deployment to Iraq in 2005.
Walz, who was just announced Tuesday as Harris’ running mate, is already being touted by liberal media outlets, including Newsweek, as “the longest-serving military veteran to be a vice presidential nominee.”
The 60-year-old served 24 years in the Army National Guard, where he reached the rank of command sergeant major.
The Newsweek account included praise from retired Army Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, who wrote on X that those who reach that rank “know what they’re doing.”
“They uphold standards. They speak their minds to all ranks (private to generals). They’re not afraid of getting bad news because they know how to fix things when they go wrong …
Walz apparently fudged details of service in Army National Guard, prompting accusations of ‘stolen valor’
Tim Walz, the far-left Democrat governor of Minnesota who was just selected to be border czar Kamala Harris’ running mate in 2024, apparently misrepresented details regarding his re-enlistment in the Army National Guard, prompting at least one of his former colleagues in Southern Minnesota’s First Battalion-125th Field Artillery to accuse him of engaging in “stolen valor.”
Now 60, Walz joined the Army National Guard more than 40 years ago, when he was 17 years old. He then put in 20 years of service and retired.
‘What the hell kind of leadership is that?’
Shortly after his retirement, the terrorist attacks of September 11 happened, and Walz re-enlisted just weeks later. In April 2005, he was promoted to the rank of command sergeant major before retiring again the following month and launching an ultimately successful campaign for Congress.
That’s when aspects of his story become dicey.
For one thing, sometime in early 2005, Walz and other members of his battalion received word that they would be deployed to Iraq soon. Walz, the highest noncommissioned officer in the unit, then abruptly retired in May, leaving the unit without a designated leader.
Tim Walz ‘Embellished’ His Military Record, Abandoned His Battalion, Guardsmen Say
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is an unknown, but the media is already referring to him as “America’s dad.” How sweet. But the picture most of the media is drawing of Walz does not match the opinion of some soldiers in his National Guard command. They think he embellished his career with the Guard and “slithered out the door” before his unit was deployed to Iraq.
“On May 16th, 2005, [Walz] quit, betraying his country, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war,” retired Command Sergeants Major Thomas Behrends and Paul Herr wrote on Facebook in 2018. Walz was preparing for his first congressional campaign in 2005 when he retired.
Herr and Behrends say Walz promised his unit he would join them in Iraq before backing out. The two retired command sergeants say that Walz could have asked the Pentagon for permission to run for office while on active duty. Instead, he chose to quit.
Van Jones Says Harris Picked Walz To Appease ‘Anti-Jewish Bigots,’ Caving to ‘Darker Parts in the Party’
Democratic strategist Van Jones on Tuesday said Vice President Kamala Harris chose Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate to appease “anti-Jewish bigots” and the “darker parts” in the Democratic Party.
“You can be for the Palestinians without being an anti-Jewish bigot, but there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there. And there has to be conversations about how much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party,” Jones said during a CNN interview Tuesday, shortly after Harris announced Walz will join her on the Democratic ticket.
Josh Shapiro, governor of key swing state Pennsylvania, had been widely seen as the favorite to become the Democratic VP candidate but came under scrutiny by progressive Democrats for his Jewish background and support for Israel in the war against Hamas.
Jones said that picking Walz over Shapiro helps Harris reach many young Democrats, especially Muslims and Arabs, who “have not felt seen by the Biden administration” and called the president “Genocide Joe” for providing military support to Israel.
“But you also have anti-Semitism that has gotten marbled into this [Democratic] Party,” Jones added.
Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) said before Harris announced her pick that it was “very noticeable” and “deeply concerning” that “the only Jewish candidate is getting excruciating, very specific scrutiny, particularly around his positions on Israel.”
Harris ‘Listened to the Hamas Wing of Her Own Party’ in Skipping Shapiro
Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) said Tuesday that Vice President Kamala Harris “listened to the Hamas wing of her own party” in passing over Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) in favor of Gov. Tim Walz (D) of Minnesota as her running mate.
Vance, whom former President Donald Trump tapped as his running mate last month, spoke to reporters shortly after Walz was announced as Harris’s pick. He said that he had called Walz to congratulate him, and had left a voice mail.
But he also said:
Obviously, the big news of the day is that Tim Walz has been nominated as the VP, or is now the presumptive nominee, I should say, for Kamala Harris. My view on it is it just highlights how radical Kamala Harris is. This is a person who listened to the Hamas wing of her own party in selecting a nominee. This is a guy who’s proposed shipping more manufacturing jobs to China,; who wants to make the American people more reliant on garbage energy, instead of good American energy; and has proposed defunding the police, just as Kamala Harris does. I think it’s interesting, actually — they make an interesting tag team, because of course Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020, and then the few who got caught, Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail. So it is more instructive for what it says about Kamala Harris, that she doesn’t care about the border, she doesn’t hear about crime, she doesn’t care about American energy, and most importantly, she doesn’t care about the Americans who have been made to suffer under those policies.
Tim Walz Signed Bill Allowing Infanticide, Letting Babies Die Who Survive Abortions
Kamala Harris just selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate and she could not have picked a more radically pro-abortion activist to join her ticket.
Walz signed a bill to allows abortions up to birth. But he also put his signature on allowing infanticide, letting babies die who survive abortions.
Babies survive abortions every year, including five in 2021 just in Minnesota. But the state no longer protects their lives.
Minnesota Democrats took control of the state legislature in 2023 and quickly passed a series of radical pro-abortion bills. One repealed a state law that required medical providers to provide medical care for newborns who survive abortions and report the situation to authorities.
Reports are indicating Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris has selected Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her running mate — a choice one of America’s leading pro-life organizations says represents the “most pro-abortion Democratic ticket yet.”
“Kamala Harris and Tim Walz make up the most pro-abortion presidential ticket America has ever seen. There is no daylight between them on this issue,” SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. “Walz is no moderate when it comes to abortion.”
Dannenfelser pointed to legislation Walz signed in January of 2023, which was “at the time the country’s most extreme law enshrining abortion on demand throughout pregnancy as a ‘fundamental right’ without limits of any kind.”
As Breitbart News reported at the time, Walz made Minnesota the first in the nation to codify abortion via legislative action after the Supreme Court overturnedRoe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion back to individual states and their elected representatives. The bill, called H.F. 1 or the Protect Reproductive Options (PRO) Act, was created to cement in state law the “right” to access reproductive health care options including abortion, birth control, family planning help, and sterilization.
Here is Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signing the bill to legalize killing babies in abortions up to birth.
Tim Walz Turned His State Into A Destination For Late-Term Abortions
Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz pushed to turn Minnesota into an abortion “safe haven” just one day after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who has been at the forefront of the Biden administration’s pro-abortion policies, selected Walz on Tuesday to be her running mate for the 2024 presidential election. The Minnesota governor issued an executive order on June 25, 2022, that said individuals entering Minnesota from states that restrict abortion would not be extradited for receiving the procedure.
“Reproductive freedom is a right under Minnesota law…that right no longer exists in many states, including many of our neighboring states,” Walz wrote in the order, bemoaning the restrictions states would soon apply. “The impending loss of freedom to people around the nation poses an imminent threat to the health and safety of people in Minnesota to the extent that other states may seek to infringe on essential liberties protected by the Minnesota Constitution.”
To our neighbors in Iowa: Minnesota is and will remain a safe haven for reproductive freedom.
VP Pick Tim Walz Pushed To Close Gitmo and House Terrorists in US
Minnesota governor Tim Walz, who was named Kamala Harris’s vice presidential pick on Tuesday, pushed to close the Guantanamo Bay prison camp and move its terrorist captives into holding facilities in the United States. His position put him to the left of other prominent Minnesota Democrats like Amy Klobuchar, but Gitmo, Walz said, is a “serious obstacle to peace in the Middle East.”
As a House member representing Minnesota’s First Congressional District, Walz voted against a 2009 measure that would have barred the federal government from shutting down Gitmo and relocating terrorists housed there to American cities. Walz railed against the U.S. detention camp as an obstacle to peace in the Middle East. He also argued that Minnesota’s criminal justice facilities could “handle” housing Gitmo terrorists.
“Walz said he thinks the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay is a serious obstacle to peace in the Middle East,” MPR News reported in June 2009, shortly after Walz returned from a “fact-finding trip to the Middle East.”
“Walz said Guantanamo should be closed, and the detainees there should be dealt with appropriately. He said that could include care at the Federal Medical Center in Rochester,” a federal prison in Minnesota for inmates who require long-term medical care.
Tim Walz’s immigration record: What to know about Harris’s running mate
Gov. Tim Walz’s (D-MN) record on immigration has come into focus after Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, selected the Minnesotan as her running mate.
Harris is vulnerable on immigration after being tasked early on as vice president with addressing the root causes of the border crisis — only for illegal immigration levels to rise to historic highs during her tenure.
As Harris goes up against former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, in November, her selection of a Democrat with a record of implementing progressive immigration policies could give Harris a leg-up with Democrats but also give pause to independents and Republicans concerned about border security.
Walz beat out centrist candidate Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), who had broken with the White House in recent years to call for President Joe Biden to finish portions of the Trump-era border wall and opposed its plan to end Title 42, a border policy that allowed illegal immigrants to be returned to Mexico.
Walz has held public office for nearly two decades and has shifted further to the Left with support for policies that benefit illegal immigrants, even reupping in early August a clip of him stating he would invest in ladders capable of getting migrants in Mexico over the border wall.
“I always say, ‘Let me know how high it is.’ If it’s 25 feet, then I’ll invest in a 30-foot-ladder factory. That’s not how you stop this,” Walz said.
Donald Trump sunk the bipartisan border security bill so he could run on the issue. He’d rather play politics for his benefit than secure our border. Kamala Harris will make sure we pass the damn thing. pic.twitter.com/bKLWUyyFWa
VP Pick Tim Walz Smiles for Cameras as He Signs Bill That Gives Illegal Immigrants Drivers Licenses
On Tuesday, a leak revealed who Vice President Kamala Harris has chosen as her running mate for the November presidential election.
Many were shocked to learn Harris opted not to pick Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, a more moderate-appearing candidate who could have helped Democrats carry Pennsylvania and other key swing states.
Instead, Harris opted to go with Minnesota’s radical Democrat Gov. Tim Walz.
That pick is already coming back to haunt her as Walz’s radical policies are brought to light.
Perhaps no video is more damning of the Walz pick than the following from March 2023, when the far-left governor signed a bill giving illegal immigrants the right to receive driver’s licenses in Minnesota.
‘I’ll Invest in a…Ladder Factory’ to Help Illegals Climb Border Wall
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate, is apparently fine with helping illegal aliens climb over the United States-Mexico border wall.
During an interview on CNN, Walz appeared to refer to former President Donald Trump’s border wall.
“He talks about this wall. I always say, ‘Let me know how high it is. If it’s 25 feet, then I’ll invest in a 30-foot ladder factory,’” Walz stated.
The radical leftist governor continued:
That’s not how you stop this. You stop this using electronics. You stop it using more border control agents. You stop it by having a legal system that allows for that tradition of allowing folks to come here — just like my relatives did — to come here, be able to work, and establish the American dream. He’s not interested in that. He wants to demonize.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz says he wants to invest in a “ladder factory” to help illegal immigrants climb Trump’s border wall, says we won’t have Thanksgiving dinner anymore without illegal immigrant workers.
Walz Let Rioters Burn Minneapolis While Harris Fundraised Their Bail
Minneapolis, ground zero for the Defund the Police movement, is not the kind of place you park your car with confidence. Several years after George Floyd’s death on May 25, 2020, the city averages one car theft an hour.
The forsaken Minneapolis police station on Lake Street, abandoned by cops and ransacked by rioters in 2020, still sits vacant. High fencing and overgrown weeds surround the building. There are no plans to rebuild.
In May 2024, the Lake Street Minneapolis Police station that was destroyed by rioters in 2020 is still vacant.
Colorful murals splashed on vacant businesses along Lake Street can’t hide the constant stink of dope in the air or prevent the rising crime rate. The homeless stand in line for free sandwiches some charity in a van distributes near Lake Street most days.
The police force is down in numbers and morale, as a “transformed” law enforcement system centered on “recognizing the humanity and civil rights of community members” and “addressing race-based policing” is being implemented through a consent decree between the city and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights.
Kamala boosted bail fund for Minnesota rioters after Walz let them torch Minneapolis: JD Vance
Republican vice-presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance slammed Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Vice President Kamala Harris for allowing rioters to burn Minneapolis and boosting bail funds to get them out of jail respectively. Harris selected Walz as her presidential running mate on Tuesday.
Vance said the two will “make an interesting tag team” and Walz that will not alleviate any of Harris’ perceived policy deficits.
“This is a guy who’s proposed shipping more manufacturing jobs to China, who wants to make the American people more reliant on garbage energy instead of good American energy, and has proposed defunding the police, just as Kamala Harris does. I think it’s interesting, actually, they make an interesting tag team, because, of course, Tim Walz allowed rioters to burn down Minneapolis in the summer of 2020 and then the few who got caught Kamala Harris helped bail them out of jail,” said Vance.
“So, it is more instructive for what it says about Kamala Harris that she doesn’t care about the border, she doesn’t care about crime, she doesn’t care about American energy, and most importantly, she doesn’t care about the Americans who have been made to suffer under those policies,” Vance continued.
Tim Walz Let George Floyd Rioters Burn Minneapolis
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s record amid the 2020 George Floyd riots in Minneapolis has received renewed scrutiny after Vice President Kamala Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, selected him as her running mate.
“Minnesota was ground zero for the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020. Harris egged it on, and Walz sat by and let Minneapolis burn,” Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, posted on X on Tuesday.
Harris-Walz: most left-wing ticket in American history.
Minnesota was ground zero for the BLM riots of 2020. Harris egged it on and Walz sat by and let Minneapolis burn.
Harris, then a senator from California who had suspended her presidential campaign, had touted the Black Lives Matter protests even after many of them descended into violent riots.
“This is a movement, I’m telling you,” Harris told CBS “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert in June 2020. “They’re not going to stop. And everyone, beware, because they’re not going to stop. They’re not going to stop before Election Day in November, and they’re not going to stop after Election Day. And that should be—everyone should take note of that, on both levels, that they’re not going to let up, and they should not, and we should not.”
Tim Walz’s Wife Appears To PRAISE Violent BLM Riots In Shocking Re-Surfaced Clip: ‘Such A Touchstone’
Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz has come under fire for her comments regarding the violent riots that shook Minneapolis in 2020. A resurfaced video clip showcased Walz in a rather questionable light, just as her husband, Governor Tim Walz, is thrust onto the national stage as Vice President Kamala Harris’s choice for running mate.
The clip, dating back to a 2020 interview, captures Gwen Walz discussing the early days of the Black Lives Matter riots with a disturbing sense of nostalgia. “I could smell the burning tires,” Walz recounted. “That was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open for as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening.”
The timing of the clip’s resurfacing could not be more inopportune for Governor Tim Walz, who was recently announced as Vice President Harris’s running mate in the upcoming election. Harris, who assumed the party’s nomination after President Joe Biden’s unexpected withdrawal last month, praised Walz’s “leadership and dedication” as key factors in her decision. Walz, a former Congressman and current second-term Governor, is seen as a crucial figure in an attempt to strengthen the Democrat ticket.
WATCH:
Tim Walz was in office during the Black Lives Matter riots in 2020, which began in Minneapolis before spreading throughout the nation. Before a trial had occurred, Walz condemned Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin and said the infamous video of his encounter with George Floyd was “disturbing.”
“The lack of humanity in this disturbing video is sickening. We will get answers and seek justice,” he said at the time. Chauvin was ultimately convicted of murder — after nationwide riots that killed more than 20 people and caused billions of dollars in property damage — though the trial has become a subject of intense controversy. Hundreds of pages of sworn testimony from Hennepin County prosecutors have now revealed that prosecutors acknowledged the “extreme pressure” to prosecute Derrick Chauvin and three additional former Minneapolis police officers. According to a report from Alpha News, multiple employees of the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office, including a prosecutor, withdrew after stating that the pressure to charge the other three officers involved, “violated professional and ethical rules.”
Tim Walz’s Wife Gwen Kept Windows Open During BLM Riots to ‘Smell the Burning Tires’
We all know that presumptive VP candidate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz allowed Minnesota to burn during the 2020 BLM riots.
His wife Gwen enjoyed the destruction so much that she kept her windows open to smell the burning tires:
“I would say those first days, you know when there were riots, I could smell the burning tires, and that was — that was a very real thing. And I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was — what was happening.”
Could you imagine how you would feel if those rioters burned down your business, home, or any property?
Kamala’s new running mate Tim Walz offered teens chance to win $100k scholarship for taking COVID jab
(LifeSiteNews) — Kamala Harris’s pick to be her vice presidential running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, is an aggressive leftist who since taking office has instituted a program to bribe teens with $200 VISA cards to take the COVID-19 jab while also offering a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship; signed an executive order making Minnesota a sanctuary for gender transitions; and signed into law a “right” to unlimited abortion putting the North Star State on par with the likes of North Korea according to pro-life leaders.
In 2021, Walz announced that teens in his state who get their first COVID shot before November 30 were eligible to receive a $200 VISA gift card.
The program, aimed at 12–17-year-olds, is titled “Kids Deserve a Shot,” also includes a chance to win a $100,000 scholarship to attend a public or private Minnesota college.
The governor’s attempt at bribery was aimed at persuading kids who were otherwise disinclined to do so to take the COVID-19 jab which had already shown to have heightened risks for young people.
Without mentioning the documented risks, Walz encouraged young people via social media to go ahead and get vaccinated.
“Minnesota teens: Not only are you eligible to get vaccinated, but starting today, you can also get $200 AND a shot at a $100,000 college scholarship,” shouted a tweet from Walz.
“Tell your friends and head to [the Minnesota vaccine rewards website],” he urged.
VP Pick Tim Walz Supports Biden-Harris’s Big 3 Gun Control Policies
Democrat Vice Presidential pick Tim Walz wants the three central gun controls that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have spent years pushing in Washington, DC.
Those controls–an “assault weapons” ban, universal background checks, and red flag laws–have been pushed time and again by Biden and/or Harris at every opportunity, including those in which the gun controls had absolutely nothing to do with the events that led to their mention.
For example, the Detroit Free Pressnoted that Biden responded to the February 13, 2023, Michigan State shooting by pushing an “assault weapons” ban and universal background checks, among other controls. However, the Michigan State shooter used handguns, not an “assault weapon,” and acquired his handguns “legally,” so no additional point-of-sale background check would have hindered him.
Most recently, Harris, in her first campaign stop after Biden announced he would not seek reelection, told a Milwaukee audience, “We’ll finally pass red flag laws, universal background checks, and an ‘assault weapons’ ban.”
Walz is in lockstep with Biden and Harris on these three controls.
Harris Running Mate Tim Walz to Push for Americans to Pay ‘Carbon Tax’ to Comply with ‘Net Zero’
Kamala Harris has just struck fear into the hearts of many freedom-loving Americans by announcing that her 2024 running mate is globalist climate-radical Gov. Tim Walz.
If elected vice president, Walz, the Democrat governor of Minnesota, wants to push for Americans to pay a so-called “carbon tax” to ensure that the United States complies with the collectivist goals of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) “Net Zero” agenda.
Walz is hoping to continue with the green agenda policies that he’s been pushing in Minnesota but on a national level.
As governor, Walz signed bills requiring Minnesota to abandon affordable and reliable energy sources.
He also slapped the state with arbitrary electric vehicle (EV) mandates.
While in Congress, Walz also voted to support controversial cap-and-trade programs while pushing for a federal carbon tax.
Daniel Turner, founder and executive director of Power The Future, warns that Walz and Harris would see the U.S. fall deeper into economic crisis in favor of the WEF’s destructive green agenda.
“If you like the record prices and sky-high inflation delivered by the Biden-Harris energy agenda, you’re going to love Tim Walz,” Turner warns.
Gov. Tim Walz Previously Campaigned For Sen. Amy Klobuchar Over Biden and Harris In 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary
As The Gateway Pundit reported on Tuesday morning, Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris has tagged Democrat Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota as her running mate.
In February 2019, Gov. Walz was not a big fan of Biden and Harris and opted to endorse Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar in the 2020 Democratic Presidential primary race.
In a February 2019 post on X, Walz wrote, “I’ve worked alongside Amy for 12 years. No one is better prepared to lead our country. She’s optimistic about what we can do together.”
“I was proud to be with her at Boom Island today — and even prouder to support Amy Klobuchar for President of the United States,” added Walz.
Walz’s endorsement didn’t do much, and Klobuchar dropped out of the Democratic presidential primary, only snagging seven delegates.

I couldn’t be more proud of my friend @amyklobuchar for her incredible performance in tonight’s New Hampshire primary.
MSNBC Data Guru Dooms Harris for Picking Tim Walz as Running Mate: ‘Fell off the Cliff’
MSNBC’s data guru has spelled doom for the Democrats’ hopes of retaining the White House after Kamala Harris announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate for the November election.
Data reporter Steve Kornacki said Tuesday that Walz may not be able to move the needle in key states as the Democrats’ vice-presidential nominee.
Vice President Harris announced Tuesday morning she chose Walz to be her running mate.
Harris passed over Pennsylvania’s Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro.
During an appearance on “Ana Cabrera Reports,” Kornacki said that Walz’s 2022 re-election win was similar to how Democrat President Joe Biden carried Minnesota in 2020.
“When you look at what Tim Walz actually pulled off to get elected, to get re-elected in 2022, it’s the Biden model, demographically, regionally,” Kornacki told host Ana Cabrera.
“You go county by county, there’s not much variance between how Walz did and how Biden did.
“Walz ran up huge numbers, look at this, this is the biggest county in the state, Hennepin County, Minneapolis here.
“Walz ran up huge numbers, Biden ran up huge numbers.
“Now go into greater Minnesota, let’s take a look at, like, Stearns County here,” Kornacki continued.
“Look, Walz lost this by 23 points.
“What did Biden lose it by? 23 points.
“And this is the kind of county, by the way, in Minnesota and across the Midwest here, that Democrats are hoping Walz will help them with,” Kornacki warned.
Harris-Walz is That Bad: CNBC Host Tells Viewers ‘If You Care About Your Paycheck, Go with Trump’
On Monday, as the Stock Market cratered during the Kamala Crash, CNBC’s “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer had clear advice for his viewers….support President Trump.
“If you’re in the stock market, if you care about your paycheck, you go with Trump,” Cramer said. “That’s what you do.”
Fellow CNBC host David H. Faber asked incredulously, “You do?”
Cramer responded, “Yeah, well, he wants to cut your taxes.”
Faber whined, “Oh, he wants to cut taxes.”
Cramer replied, “Your taxes.”
Faber added, “No, my taxes got raised enormously under the last Trump administration… I’m in a blue state… They want to k*ll us…..they want to put us out of business.”
JD Vance Response to Walz Pick Shows Just How It Should Be Done
Kamala Harris finally got around to picking Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate after all the confusion and drama that Democrats were putting out there on the issue.
They decided not to go with the more moderate, pro-Israel Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, likely caving to their antisemitic left. But in that choice perhaps to hold onto the left and maybe Michigan, they may have just given away the state they really need — Pennsylvania — that they pretty much have to have to win, given the current estimates.
This choice may not go over well in the other Rust Belt states. They picked a guy who compared socialism to neighborliness and talked dismissively about the red states as being full of “rocks and cows.”
Ron DeSantis Absolutely Destroys Kamala’s Running Mate, Tim Walz
There’s been a lot of reaction to Kamala Harris’s selection of Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) as her running mate, and one of my favorites comes from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who destroyed Tim Walz and his abysmal record as governor of Minnesota.
“We all remember the [Black Lives Matter] riots of 2020 in Minneapolis,” he said during a press conference in Steinhatchee, Fla., on Tuesday morning. “Those were riots that Harris egged on and raised money to bail out the rioters with the Minnesota bail fund. And they were riots that Tim Waltz, as governor, sat back and let happen. He sat back and let the city of Minneapolis burn. That city has been gutted as a result of those riots. We would never allow that to happen in the state of Florida. So this is a ticket that really represents the spirit of those 2020 BLM riots.”
DeSantis continued, “And you have a very vapid San Francisco Democrat, and then you’ve got an Ilhan Omar-style leftist, Tim Walz, who has the same policies as his fellow Minnesotan, Ilhan Omar.We do not need an America that represents the failed policies of San Francisco or the failed policies of Minneapolis. We do not need to see poop on the street and cities burning down. That is not a prescription for America to work its way back. And I can just tell you, as governor of Florida, particularly in that 2020–2021 period, people fled those jurisdictions. And they’d come to Florida, and they would tell me about the mismanagement, and about letting the inmates run the asylum and how that just destroyed the quality of life. And so I think it was in that period, you were five times more likely to move from Minnesota to Florida than vice versa, and that’s a result of people fleeing those failed policies.”
Mike Johnson Reacts to Walz Pick, Calls Out Democrats’ ‘Pro-Palestinian, in Some Cases Pro-Hamas Wing’
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is the latest to call out the blatant discrimination in the Democrat party, saying that Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro was overlooked as a potential choice to become Democrat presidential hopeful Kamala Harris’ running mate because of his Jewish heritage.
Johnson sat down for an interview with The Hill shortly after it was announced that Kamala had chosen leftist Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz to be on her ticket. Johnson said the Keystone State governor would have been the “stronger choice”:
“I think that [Shapiro’s faith] clearly was a major factor, is that she was reluctant to put a vice presidential nominee on the ticket with Jewish heritage because they’re having a split in the Democratic Party,” Johnson said. “They have a pro-Palestinian, in some cases pro-Hamas wing of the Democratic Party.”
“Sadly for Josh Shapiro, because of his heritage, I think that is the reason he was overlooked,” Johnson added.
Johnson is far from the only one calling out the distorted values in the Democrat party; my colleague Mike Miller wrote earlier about CNN pundit Van Jones, who is anything but a conservative, calling out “anti-Jewish” bigots:
But you also have anti-Semitism that has gotten marbled into this party. You can be for the Palestinians without being an anti-Jewish bigot. But there are some anti-Jewish bigots out there and there’s some disquiet now and there has to be. How much of what just happened is caving into some of these darker parts in the party?
The Supreme Court rejected Missouri’s lawsuit against New York over the prosecution of former President Donald Trump on Monday.
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey sued the state of New York in July, alleging its prosecution of Trump violated the First Amendment right of Missouri citizens to hear from a 2024 presidential candidate. In a brief order, the Supreme Court declined to allow Missouri to file its complaint and dismissed its motion for preliminary relief.
Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito would have allowed Missouri to file its complaint, according to the order.
“No doubt it is true that the Constitution would not have tolerated a future Confederate state gagging and sentencing Abraham Lincoln in 1860 to interfere with his campaign for the Presidency,” Missouri’s lawsuit stated. “Doing so obviously would have interfered with federal interests the same way Maryland’s attempt to tax the Bank of the United States did 40 years earlier.”
“Constitutionally, it is no different with New York’s attempt to use coercive power in the form of a gag order and impending sentence to interfere with Donald Trump’s campaign,” the lawsuit continued.
A panel of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division on Thursday ruled to maintain the gag order in former president Donald Trump’s hush-money trial. While Trump was found guilty on May 3o of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, the court upheld Justice Juan Merchan’s decision to continue the restraining order until after sentencing has occurred.
The appeals court found that “the fair administration of justice necessarily includes sentencing” and that “threats received by District Attorney staff after the jury verdict continued to pose a significant and imminent threat.” The court concluded that paragraph (b) of the gag order “shall remain in effect until the imposition of sentence.”
On June 25, Justice Merchan partially allowed a Trump challenge of the gag order’s operation post-trial. That decision terminated the portions of the gag order pursuant to making statements about witnesses and prospective jurors. However, Justice Merchan maintained paragraph (b) of the order, preventing Trump from:
Making or directing others to make public statements about (1) counsel in the case other than the District Attorney, (2) members of the court’s staff and the District Attorney’s staff, or (3) the family members of any counsel, staff member, the Court or the District Attorney, if those statements are made with the intent to materially interfere with, or to cause others to materially interfere with, counsel’s or staffs work in this criminal case, or with the knowledge that such interference is likely to result.
Mississippi’s 2024 election could theoretically experience a minimum of a 5-day delay in being determined if a ruling by U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. is upheld. That ruling holds that a Mississippi law allowing ballots to be received up to 5 days after the election to be counted is perfectly constitutional.
The judge exclaimed “So if one federal statute implicitly allows post-election receipt of overseas ballots mailed by election day, that statute is presumed not to offend against the election-day statutes, from which one may infer that the similar Mississippi statute on post-election receipt is likewise inoffensive.”
A federal judge ruled on July 28 that a Mississippi law allowing ballots received up to five days after an election to be counted is lawful.
U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola Jr. referenced the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), which regulates ballots from citizens living abroad.
A Rasmussen poll reveals nine percent of 2020 polled voters identified as being non-citizens. This group was culled from a call-list for “likely voters.” 2,466 people answered the poll, all of which became eligible when they were asked if they intended to vote in 2024.
A new poll finds that nine percent of “likely voters” who said they voted in 2020 are ineligible to vote because they are non-citizens.
The recent Rasmussen poll of 2,466 people who said they would likely vote in 2024 and who admitted voting in 2020 showed a shocking statistic.
Rasmussen asked these voters is they are citizens and 131 out of 2,466 said “no.” And 91 said they were not sure if they were citizens. Hint: if you “aren’t sure,” you’re NOT a citizen.

Within two days of the announcement being made, Democrat delegates quickly rallied around Biden’s endorsement, Vice President Kamala Harris, the new presumptive nominee of the Democrat Party. Biden disappeared for four days before emerging Tuesday, July 23, in a video showing him weakly walking across a tar mac and up a small flight of stairs into Air Force One.
Early polls are mixed, with some showing Kamala taking an early, though small, lead, while others show Trump extended the lead he had over Biden.
Without earning a single vote cast by the American public, Vice President Kamala Harris won enough support from Democratic delegates to secure her party’s presidential nomination less than 48 hours after her octogenarian boss dropped out of the race.
Over 2,660 delegates said they back the former California attorney general, pushing her way over the 1,976 votes needed to clinch the nomination, an Associated Press survey found. No other potential candidates were named in the survey as an alternative to Harris.
Since Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris, his VP has gained support from other notable congressional Democrats and party leaders, including former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Biden ally Rep. Jim Clyburn (D., S.C.), former president Bill Clinton, and his wife, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who ran to be the first female president against Donald Trump in 2016. George Clooney, who wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that called on Biden to leave the race, also endorsed Harris.
Democratic delegates immediately began gathering support for the vice president following Biden’s announcement. Just hours after Biden ended his reelection campaign, Democratic National Committee members circulated a letter pushing their support for Harris as the next presidential nominee.
Although we’re still in the early stages of the so-called “Kamala Harris campaign,” initial polling would suggest President Trump does as well, if not better, in a head-to-head contest against the vice president as he did against Joe Biden.
As it stands, Kamala Harris’ poll numbers are abysmal. She currently polls as the most unpopular vice president since the advent of modern polling. Her 32 percent net favorability (compared with a 49% unfavorability rating) is lower than both Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney, the architect of the universally despised Iraq War.
A recent poll by HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a nine-point lead over Harris, 50% to 41%, higher than the lead that same poll gave him over Biden, 48% to 40%. When broken down by demographic group, the 45th President’s numbers look even more promising: HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a +15-point advantage over Harris among Independents, 48% to 33%, and a staggering +19-point lead, 58% to 39%, among voters between the ages of 18 and 34.
Kamala Harris is still actively raising money for Minnesota Freedom Fund, an organization that bails out violent criminals, especially ones burning down cities and looting stores in the name of “racial” and/or “LGBTQ+” JUSTICE! Harris’ tweet from June 1, 2020, declared “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”
The fund’s own director at the time, identified as Lewin, revealed the principles of the fund, saying “I often don’t even look at a charge when I bail someone out. I will see it after I pay the bill because it is not the point. The point is the system we are fighting.”
Minnesota Freedom Fund posted bail for rapists and other violent criminals
Vice President Kamala Harris is actively raising money for a bail fund that busts violent criminals from jail as her nascent presidential campaign signals her candidacy will lean heavily on her roots as a tough-on-crime former prosecutor.
Harris urged her followers to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund in June 2020 as Black Lives Matter rioters wreaked havoc in Minneapolis in the days following George Floyd’s death. Harris’s fundraising efforts helped the fund raise more than $41 million in 2020, but the group only used a small fraction of that bounty—$210,000—to bail rioters out of jail. The remaining funds helped post bail for violent criminals such as Christopher Boswell, a twice-convicted rapist who was freed from jail in 2020 pending kidnapping and sexual assault charges after the Minnesota Freedom Fund paid $350,000 for his release.
“The last time we were down there, the clerk said, ‘we hate it when you bail out these sex offenders, that is what they said,’” former Minnesota Freedom Fund interim executive director Greg Lewin told Fox9 in August 2020.
The Minnesota Freedom Fund continues to reap dividends from Harris’s fundraising efforts well into 2024. The vice president’s fundraising page for the group, which contains a photo of a triumphant Harris before a crowd of supporters alongside her 2020 campaign logo, is active and accepted a contribution from this reporter on Monday morning.
