The case, Curling v. Raffensperger, was brought back in 2017 and has since evolved. Plaintiffs, which include the Coalition for Good Governance and several Georgia voters, asked the court — according to Totenberg’s ruling — “to stop Georgia’s use of its electronic in-person voting system so that it can be replaced with a hand-marked paper ballot system.”

Plaintiffs argued, in part, that the current voting system “makes it impossible for these voters to verify that the QR codes on their printed ballots, which are used to tabulate their votes, accurately reflect the ballot selections they made on the voting machines,” according to the ruling.

Illegal crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border dropped once again in March, plummeting to a historic low, with Border Patrol encountering just over 7,000 for the entirety of March.

Border Czar Tom Homan praised Trump’s leadership for achieving a stunning drop in illegal border crossings in a post on X.

“President Trump’s leadership continues to break records! Border Patrol encounters for the month of March were just 7,181 total,” Homan wrote, emphasizing the historic significance of the figures. “I started as a Border Patrol Agent in 1984, which was 41 years ago. I cannot recall a single month since then that the numbers have been that low.”

Thanks to the way the dark money behemoth operates, it’s a mystery whether the money goes to any of the far-left groups it supports.

That setup allows the state to obscure which group actually gets taxpayer dollars after it awards contracts or grants to the Tides Center. The Golden State’s spending database shows that 18 agencies, ranging from health departments to workplace regulators, sent payments to the George Soros-backed nonprofit. The database does not reveal which project gets the cash in the end. State officials also told the Free Beacon that the database is missing information from some departments, meaning total payments to the Tides Center could eclipse the nearly $18 million shown.

The Tides Center essentially acts like a middle man, funneling hundreds of millions of dollars every year to a network of seemingly independent charitable organizations—primarily progressive activist groups. The increasingly authoritarian nature of the British government is back in the spotlight this week after news broke that police arrested, interrogated, and jailed parents in Hertfordshire, England, for complaining about school policy and criticizing school leaders in a private group chat.

All this comes as the town’s new constable is set to release a report on the incident.

It all started in May 2024, when Maxie Allen, whose daughter Sascha, 9, was attending Cowley Hill Primary School, contacted the chair of governors of the school to question the hiring process of its new head teacher. Allen noted that despite the former head teacher having retired six months earlier, the school had not publicly posted the job and had instead given it to the former deputy head teacher.

Allen says that the chair’s response was “evasive,” so he sent a letter to all the school governors asking about the decision not to open recruitment to other candidates.

Allen posted the letter in a private WhatsApp parents’ group.

The next month, Jackie Spriggs, who is the chair of governors, wrote a letter to parents claiming that parents were using WhatsApp “to make inflammatory and defamatory comments about senior leaders in the school.”
