A professor with a valid visa has been deported from the United States under the Trump administration despite a court order stopping the administration from doing so.

Dr. Rasha Alawieh, 34, is a Lebanese citizen, kidney transplant specialist, and professor at Brown University’s medical school, who traveled to Lebanon last month to visit family. Upon returning to the U.S., she was detained, denied entry, and flown out of the country.

Judge Leo T. Sorokin from the Federal District Court in Massachusetts ordered the government on Friday to provide the court with 48 hours’ notice before deporting Alawieh. Still, she was put on a flight to Paris, which is believed to be a stop on her way to Lebanon.

In a second order filed on Sunday morning, Sorokin said there was reason to believe U.S. Customs and Border Protection had willfully disobeyed his order to give the court notice before deporting Alawieh. The judge said he had followed “common practice in this district as it has been for years.”

The Trump administration has an “obligation” to hold accountable the leadership involved in the botched Afghanistan withdrawal, Department of Defense (DOD) spokesman Sean Parnell told the Daily Caller during a press briefing Monday.

Parnell responded to a question from the Caller about whether the DOD would commit to firing or disciplining any remaining leadership directly involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal.

“We’re in the process of figuring out what that investigation will look like,” Parnell stated.

Donald Trump’s cruel and chaotic second term is just getting started. In his first month back in office, Trump and his lackey Elon Musk (or is it the other way around?) have proven that nothing is safe from sacrifice at the altar of unchecked power and riches.

A French official made what appears to be a tongue-in-cheek request that President Donald Trump return the Statue of Liberty.

Raphael Glucksmann, who represents France in the European Parliament, told his fellow Socialists and Democrats alliance members that the United States should return the monument, which was given as a gift in 1886.

“We’re going to say to the Americans who have chosen to side with the tyrants, to the Americans who fired researchers for demanding scientific freedom: ‘Give us back the Statue of Liberty,’” Glucksmann said, per a Saturday report from Politico.

“We gave it to you as a gift, but apparently you despise it. So it will be just fine here at home,” he added.

Meanwhile, student reports professor to the school’s bias team for saying ‘black culture is the problem’ on social media

A black employee reported their supervisor, who is also black, to the University of Maryland’s bias team for telling them to “tone it down,” according to bias reports recently obtained by The College Fix.

The incident is one of the nearly 30 reports obtained by The Fix from the public university relating to accusations of bias on the basis of race or color. Several incidents of racial slurs were reported multiple times.

The university originally provided only a brief summary of the incident, devoid of any meaningful details. It also stripped any reference to the sex of the person being targeted the complaint. “Staff reported that their supervisor emailed them racist and derogatory statements,” the public report originally stated.

Trump Is Right To Push Back Against Judicial Supremacy– thefederalist.com

Did President Trump ignore an order from U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg in Washington, D.C., to halt the deportation of hundreds of alleged terrorists and gang members this weekend? No.

Would it have been constitutional if he had? Yes.

For too long, we have accepted without question the fallacious notion that the federal judiciary has the exclusive power of constitutional interpretation, and that the states and the other branches of the federal government are bound to accept whatever the courts decide. This myth of “judicial supremacy” has thrown the constitutional system devised by our Founders out of balance, and it needs to be rejected.

The current case, which concerns whether a federal judge can prevent the removal of foreigners whom the Executive Branch has determined are part of a terrorist organization, is the perfect opportunity to reassert the Founders’ view of the power of constitutional interpretation — a view that was shared, and acted upon, by presidents Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln. It now seems the Trump administration is reviving this long-lost view, and it’s about time.

Bill faces criticism for ‘censorship’

Wyoming Republican Gov. Mark Gordon signed a bill this month prohibiting the state’s public colleges from engaging in “any diversity, equity or inclusion program, activity or policy.”

DEI “means any program, activity or policy that promotes differential or preferential treatment of individuals or classifies individuals on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity or national origin,” House Bill 147 states.

The bill also bans “institutional discrimination,” which it defines as a policy or practice that asserts the superiority or inferiority of individuals based on “race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or national origin.” Public colleges cannot engage in practices that discriminate, assign blame, or require guilt acknowledgment based on these characteristics, the bill states.

Additionally, Wyoming’s community colleges and the University of Wyoming, the state’s only public university, are prohibited from promoting the idea that meritocracy or traits such as a strong work ethic are inherently racist or sexist.

Major Automaker Recalls Nearly 100K Vehicles Over Serious Potential Malfunction: ‘Increased Risk Of A Crash’– wltreport.com

One of the “Big Three” U.S. automakers has just become the latest to announce a major recall due to a possibly dangerous issue.

This time, General Motors is warning drivers of more than 90,000 vehicles that they need to address a potential transmission malfunction.

As Fox Business reported:

The automaker said in a recall report submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the transmission control valve inside some 2020-2021 Cadillac CT4, 2020-2021 Cadillac CT5, 2019-2020 Cadillac CT6 and 2020-2022 Chevrolet Camaro vehicles featuring a 10-speed transmission could suffer “excess wear” over time that could result in “harsh shifting” and a “momentary” lock up of the wheels in “rare cases.”

A brief lock-up of the wheels while the recalled vehicles are in motion could pose an “increased risk of a crash,” according to the NHTSA recall report.

“This recall only involves vehicles equipped with the 10-speed transmission,” the report said of the recalled vehicles. “Vehicles equipped with other transmissions are not affected by this recall.”

For a fresh look at how infantile, indolent, and insane the “Hate Trump” media have become, look no further than Olivia Campbell’s latest finger painting in Vanity Fair.

This masterpiece of anti-MAGA madness is headlined “Trump’s New Administration Is Anti-Woman—a Playbook from Nazi-Era Germany.”

First things first: This headline writer should don a dunce cap and stand in the corner for the rest of the day. Why waste ink, kilobytes, and readers’ time with “Nazi-Era Germany” when “Nazi Germany” will suffice?

But that’s a journalistic parking ticket compared with Campbell. She speeds her vehicle through a red light and plows right into a fire hydrant.

Fed Up Voters Demand That Democrats Fight Trump– www.politicususa.com

The biggest story in the Democratic Party isn’t the fighting between House and Senate Democrats because that fight reflects the larger issue of the shift in the Democratic base since Trump came back to office.

It shouldn’t have been a surprise to elected Democrats that after their voters were told for years that Trump is a threat to democracy and all that they value, these voters would expect Democrats holding office to do something in response to the threat.

Elected officials often don’t react until they see changes reflected in polling, and a new NBC News poll should cause any lingering Democrats to change course.

The fallout from Chuck Schumer’s cave to Trump continues to rumble, as Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) debunked Schumer’s stated reasoning for supporting the Trump CR.

Schumer has said, “A government shutdown gives Donald Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE almost complete power as to what to close down, because they can decide what is an essential service. If they determine that SNAP, kids shouldn’t get food is not essential, they can just cut it out summarily. They could fire half the workers in the federal government.”
