On July 22, America’s largest transgender youth “clinic” shut its doors in response to an executive order banning the practice of chemical and surgical mutilation of children.

The Center for Transyouth Health and Development (CTH) at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has administered experimental transgender “treatments” for more than 30 years, providing puberty-blocking hormones and genitalia surgeries to thousands of children and young adults. Despite a complete lack of data to support the practice and mounting evidence of its harm, CTH clinicians had no intention of shutting down before Trump’s order forced the hospital’s hand.

Entitled “Protecting Children from Chemical and Surgical Mutilation,” the White House order states that U.S. policy will no longer “fund, sponsor, promote, assist, or support the so-called ‘transition’ of a child from one sex to another,” and will “rigorously enforce all laws that prohibit or limit these destructive and life-altering procedures.”

After a “thorough legal and financial assessment,” the hospital decided to cut its losses.

The Trump Department of Justice has announced the shuttering of four dark web child abuse websites and the conviction of 18 men involved in those sites.

In a press release from Wednesday, the DOJ reported the results of “Operation Grayskull” which took down a ring of child sex abusers and the convictions resulted in more than 300 years in prison collectively.

The DOJ noted that the operation “resulted on the dismantling of four dark web sites dedicated to images and videos containing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). To date, the operation has led to the convictions of 18 offenders, including a Minnesota man who was sentenced yesterday to 250 months in prison and lifetime supervised release for his involvement with one of these dark web sites. He was also ordered to pay $23,000 in restitution.”

“Today’s announcement sends a clear warning to those who exploit and abuse children: you will not find safe haven, even on the dark web,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Matthew R. Galeotti of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division. “These offenders thought that they could act without consequences, but they were wrong. Thanks to the relentless determination of our prosecutors and law enforcement partners we have exposed these perpetrators for who they are, eliminated their websites and brought justice to countless victims.”

President Donald Trump scored another huge legal victory after a judge tossed out a lawsuit brought against his administration that challenged his “dismantling of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).”

Conservative pundits and commentators are saying this is a significant development, as it may lead to the dismissal of other cases against the administration that make similar claims. Once it’s appealed, the circuit court’s precedent will then bind other district courts in our nation’s capital.

The lawsuit in question was first filed on Feb. 6, 2025, by the American Foreign Service Association and the American Federation of Government Employees. The purpose of the suit was to block President Trump from putting thousands of individuals who worked for USAID on administrative leave before eventually firing them.

Both groups, which filed the lawsuit jointly, claimed that the administration’s actions were in violation of federal employment protections and posed safety risks to those who worked abroad.

When it was first filed, Judge Carl J. Nichols, who was appointed to the bench by President Trump, issued a temporary restraining order halting the planned removal of over 2,200 government workers. The reason? Safety concerns overseas.

After legal pressure, the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF) announced that the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board decided to “reverse” its suspension of Catherine Kronas from her position as elected School Councillor in “a significant victory for freedom of expression.”

As reported by LifeSiteNews recently, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board was issued a legal warning from the JCCF after it suspended Kronas from a local school council over her objections to making indigenous land acknowledgments.

The JCCF said that on July 16, after a review from the Board’s Human Rights Office, it informed Kronas in writing that her personal statement had not breached its Code of Conduct.

“She is now free to resume her elected role on the school council,” the JCCF noted.

The school board, however, pointed out that despite reversing the ban, there still remains “a concern around the school council climate.”

Trump admin to distribute $14.2M for patriotic education grants to mark America’s 250th anniversary

President Donald Trump’s Education Department recently announced a new pool of federal grant money aimed at helping teach about American history and civics as the nation marks its 250th anniversary next year.

Called the American History and Civics Education National Activities-Seminars for America’s semiquincentennial program, it aims to create evidence-based seminars to coincide with the nation’s anniversary in 2026.

The grants will pay for seminars for educators or students on American history and civics, with a focus on primary documents and topics such as the Declaration of Independence, the principles of the founding fathers, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

The available pool of funding sits at $14.2 million, said department official Orman Feres during a July 1 webinar explaining the grants, adding the department expects to provide between seven and 10 awards.

University will provide admissions data in exchange for frozen funds

Columbia University will pay $200 million to President Donald Trump’s administration in a settlement to resolve federal investigations into alleged breaches of anti-discrimination laws.

“Under [the] agreement, a vast majority of the federal grants which were terminated or paused in March 2025 will be reinstated, and Columbia’s access to billions of dollars in current and future grants will be restored,” President Claire Shipman wrote in a message to the campus community Wednesday.

Columbia will pay the settlement over a three-year period, along with $21 million to resolve inquiries led by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Shipman stated.

The university also agreed to provide the government admissions data, including race, GPA, and test scores of accepted and rejected students, the Columbia Spectator reported.

Additionally, the school will give the Trump administration all records of “disciplinary actions” involving international students.

President Donald Trump said Friday that his administration is considering issuing rebate checks to some Americans due to the massive revenue surge from tariffs.

“We have so much money coming in,” Trump told reporters from the White House. “We’re thinking about a little rebate.”

He emphasized that his primary goal remains putting the country on a course toward fiscal responsibility.

“But the big thing we want to do is pay down debt,” he said. “But we’re thinking about a rebate.”

As reporters pressed for further details, Trump praised one in particular for starting what he categorized as an important discussion Americans might hear more of.

“That’s a very good question,” he said. “You just made a lot of news.”

New York City’s business community’s criticisms of Zohran Mamdani, the self-proclaimed socialist Democratic candidate for mayor, are full of unwarranted hysteria.

After all, most major tax increases will require approval in Albany by the state legislature. Without those tax increases, Mamdani’s plans for city-run grocery stores, rent control, free childcare, building thousands of rent-controlled housing units, free bus service, and a $30 minimum wage aren’t going to get very far. The city council in New York City is far left, but they’re also not insane enough to ruin the city’s finances.

Mamdani’s tax plan is an exercise in delusional thinking. Forbes details the major elements of the candidate’s plan.

  1. Raising the Corporate Tax Rate from 9% to 11.5%, which his platform estimates will generate $5 billion annually.
  2. Creating a 2% New York City Income Tax for anyone making more than $1 million annually, which his platform estimates will generate $4 billion annually.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) has weighed in on allegations that former president Barack Obama and his national security team created a false intelligence community assessment in order to target Donald Trump following his election in 2016.

In a post on X, Lee noted that in the 1970s the Frank Church committee concluded that every administration since the era of Woodrow Wilson has used the nation’s intelligence-gathering communities for political espionage.

Lee suggested that it would be foolish to believe that this no longer happens and that, while people have brushed it aside for years, the practice can no longer be ignored.

A newly submitted Senate amendment aims to reverse a key victory for gun owners: the elimination of the $200 tax on National Firearms Act (NFA) items. Senate Amendment 2973, introduced by Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), would raise the tax on NFA-regulated firearms such as suppressors, short-barreled rifles, and short-barreled shotguns to $4,709 — even though Congress recently reduced the same tax to $0 in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill (OBBB).

How the NFA Tax Was Lowered to $0

The reduction was part of a carefully structured reconciliation effort that unfolded over months. Lawmakers originally intended to include the full Hearing Protection Act (HPA) and SHORT Act in the OBBB, which would have fully removed suppressors and other NFA items from regulation. However, because reconciliation rules limit what types of provisions can be included, particularly under the Senate’s Byrd Rule, much of the original repeal language was excluded.

Instead, the House and Senate agreed on a strategy to zero out the NFA tax via a tax-focused provision. This change was upheld by the Senate Parliamentarian and supported by Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD), who declined to override the Parliamentarian’s rulings throughout the process. The bill passed both chambers, and President Donald Trump signed it into law on July 4, 2025.

In brief: There’s a strange situation occurring in China: despite Nvidia’s high-end AI chips being restricted from export to the country, businesses that repair these GPUs are experiencing a boom in demand. One company now handles up to 500 AI chip repairs every month.

The US has restricted the export of Nvidia’s most powerful AI chips to China since 2022 over fears that they could be used for military purposes.

Although these chips aren’t officially available in the Asian nation, a booming repair business has emerged. Reuters reports that one firm in the country, which began fixing gaming GPUs 15 years ago and started including AI chips in 2024, created a new company to handle all accelerator-related customer repairs, which now account for 500 repairs per month.

The company has been advertising its extensive facilities on social media. It even boasts a room that can pack 256 servers to simulate customers’ data center environments.

It’s a lucrative business, with the firm charging between 10,000 yuan and 20,000 yuan ($1,400 to $2,800) to fix one of these GPUs depending on the complexity of the repair.

With the fall of Roe v. Wade, vast underground networks of mail-order abortion pills have been established, with pills being sent from blue states where abortion is legal to red states where pre-born children have state protection. This has launched a flurry of litigation between states, with blue states such as New York vowing to protect abortionists who facilitate feticide across state lines, even when the mail-order pills result in harm to girls and women as well as the intended human target of the medication.

Two Americas are emerging in the post-Roe era. In one, pre-born children are recognized as human beings and entitled to at least some level of protection. In the other, pre-born children are treated as parasites or medical waste, and abortionists are protected by politicians from extradition as they market their wares by mail.

The latest lawsuit, filed on July 20, seeks civil damages against Remy Coeytaux, with Jerry Rodriguez alleging that the doctor violated both state and federal laws. Rodriguez claims that his girlfriend’s ex-husband paid for the pills, and Coeytaux mailed them from California to Texas. His girlfriend, says Rodriguez, took the pills on at least two occasions under pressure from her estranged ex-husband.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s attorney David Oscar Markus has said the deputy attorney general has finished his questioning for the day, NBC News reports.

“We started this morning right around 9 o’clock, and went to now lunchtime, and we’re finished after all day, yesterday and today, Ghislaine answered every single question asked of her over the last day and a half, she answered those questions honestly, truthfully, to the best of her ability. She never invoked a privilege. She never refused to answer a question,” Markus told reporters as he left the federal courthouse in downtown Tallahassee, Florida.

“They asked about every single, every possible thing you could imagine. Everything.”

The justice department has not said whether Blanche intends to question Maxwell further. Markus said he did not know whether the discussions would have any impact on her case.

We don’t know how it’s going to play out. We just know that this was the first opportunity she’s ever been given to answer questions about what happened and so the truth will come out about what happened with Mr Epstein, and she’s the person who’s answering those questions,” he said.

President Donald Trump publicly scorned Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell on Thursday for the cost of an extensive building renovation as the two officials began a tour of the unfinished project.

Trump said the project cost $3.1 billion, much higher than the Fed’s $2.5 billion figure, while Powell, standing next to him, silently shook his head.

“This came from us?” Powell said, then figuring out that Trump was including the renovation of the Martin Building that was finished five years ago.

“Do you expect any more additional cost overruns?” Trump asked.

“Don’t expect them,” Powell said.

Trump said in his career as a real estate developer he would fire someone for cost overruns. The president joked that he would back off Powell if he lowered interest rates.

Last month, the Department of Justice charged two Chinese nationals for smuggling a scientifically classified potential agroterrorism fungus into the United States. They were allegedly receiving funding from China to research the pathogen for potential future attacks, highlighting the dangers China could pose to the U.S. food supply in the future at a time it has already effectively infiltrated American agriculture through land acquisition.

China’s acquisition of U.S. land is a well-documented national security threat, especially as it continues to purchase land in suspicious proximity to U.S. military bases. This strategic investment by China has rapidly developed, with China only owning approximately 13,720 acres in 2010 growing to the 277,336 acres it owned as of Dec. 2023.

Despite the number of acres reported in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act Dec. 2023 report, this data “should be interpreted as a minimum.” The data disclosed to the USDA is collected through voluntary reporting. This creates gaps in the database, with 3.1 million acres unaccounted for. Additionally, there is a caveat in the reporting, as entities can list “no predominant country” in their filing. Roughly 2.3 million acres account for no foreign investor and no predominant country listed. The number of Chinese-controlled acreage is highly likely to be far larger than reported.

The United States recalled its diplomatic team from Qatar on Thursday, ending two weeks of intense ceasefire negotiations with Hamas after the terror group rejected the Trump administration’s latest offer.

“We have decided to bring our team home from Doha for consultations after the latest response from Hamas, which clearly shows a lack of desire to reach a ceasefire in Gaza,” special envoy Steve Witkoff said in a statement. “While the mediators have made a great effort, Hamas does not appear to be coordinated or acting in good faith.”

The Trump administration is now considering “alternative options to bring the hostages home and try to create a more stable environment for the people of Gaza.” Witkoff accused Hamas of acting in a “selfish way” and stressed that he and his team remain “resolute in seeking an end to this conflict and a permanent peace in Gaza.”

The talks, which Egypt and Qatar have mediated, reportedly stretched into the early morning hours on Thursday but failed to adequately address “significant gaps,” according to Israeli officials. Hamas reportedly desires guarantees that Israel will not resume its war effort even without a final deal within a 60-day ceasefire period. The terror group also wants Israel to release 200 prisoners serving life sentences and around 2,000 others who were arrested since the Oct. 7, 2023, attacks, the Jerusalem Post reported.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump endorsed Mike Rogers, the Republican Party’s preferred candidate, as he seeks to replace retiring Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI).

Trump previously talked Rep. Bill Huizenga (R-MI) out of challenging Rogers ahead of the 2026 primary, with his active involvement in the wide-open Michigan Senate race coming as the GOP hopes to flip the seat in a bid to expand its narrow 53-47 majority in the upper chamber.

“The wide America First Patriot Mike Rogers is running for U.S. Senate in the Great State of Michigan, a State I love and WON BIG!” Trump wrote in a post to Truth Social. “Mike Rogers has my Complete and Total Endorsement — HE WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN!”

As Democrats also line up to succeed Peters, Trump touted Rogers as the GOP candidate who would focus on enacting his “America First” agenda. Much is riding on Rogers, a former longtime congressman and FBI agent from Livingston County, as Republicans have not won a Senate election in Michigan since 1994.

EXCLUSIVE — As leader of New England Law in Boston, Scott Brown touted diversity, equity, and inclusion as a “core value” and “top priority” of the institution. Now a Republican Senate candidate in New Hampshire, Brown assails DEI as “woke.”

In an “unlisted” 2021 YouTube video unearthed by the Washington Examiner, which is not publicly searchable or viewable on the law school’s page, Brown, then the dean and president, celebrated New England Law’s DEI programs for Black History Month.

The more than three-minute video, which has not been previously reported, featured Brown boasting of DEI efforts under his new tenure, including “implicit bias training” for faculty, foreshadowing plans for “combating systemic racism,” praising a DEI task force as a “top priority,” and promoting college-backed DEI initiatives.

Under Brown’s leadership over the next two months, the school launched a diversity career-readiness program and celebrated Trans Day of Visibility. The latter, the institution said, was evidence of its commitment to expanding access to the legal profession for “historically underrepresented groups and those who have suffered discrimination.”

Brown’s remarks and the school’s positions under his short tenure stand in stark contrast to his anti-DEI rhetoric as a Senate candidate and the GOP’s anti-DEI platform.

On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court temporarily blocked a lower court ruling centered on provisions of the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

In a 6-3 decision, the justices stayed a ruling by the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals, which had sided against two American Indian tribes in an ongoing dispute over North Dakota’s state legislative map. The plaintiffs claimed that the state’s map “denied them an equal opportunity to elect their candidates of choice,” according to The Hill.

In its decision, the three-judge panel ruled (2-1) that private plaintiffs cannot “maintain a private right of action for alleged violations of § 2” of the VRA using federal civil rights laws. The ruling overturned a prior decision by the district court, which sided with the plaintiffs.

Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh — who handles emergency applications from the 8th Circuit — granted plaintiffs’ request on July 16 to place a temporary pause on the 8th Circuit’s order to provide the justices time to consider their request for relief.

According to Thursday’s SCOTUS order, the 8th Circuit’s decision is “stayed pending the filing and disposition of the petition for a writ of certiorari, if such writ is timely sought.” The stay will terminate if a potential petition from one of the parties to SCOTUS is denied by the high court or if SCOTUS agrees to take up the matter and hands down a final judgment in the case.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) is not expected at the National Governors Association retreat this weekend as reports emerge suggesting cracks in the Democratic relationship with the organization.

Gov. Laura Kelly (D-KS) has not registered for the summit either, though the meeting of the bipartisan governors group will enjoy a “record number” of governors at the summer meeting in Colorado Springs.

The NGA reportedly will not get any more dues from Walz or Kelly over its reaction to President Donald Trump’s ventures into state matters. The Washington Examiner did not confirm the report but did confirm that the two governors had not registered for the summit.

Both have concluded that the “organization’s usefulness is now in doubt” because it allegedly did not respond sufficiently to incidents such as the pause on the disbursement of all federal funds in January, when Gov. Janet Mills (D-ME) argued with Trump over transgender athletes, and when the National Guard was deployed into California during the Los Angeles protests.

“When you are also paying dues with taxpayer dollars, it has got to be worth it, and they are going to have to demonstrate that,” a source told the Atlantic. “Right now, they are not doing that. There have been ongoing concerns about the NGA among the Democratic governors and staff, off and on, for years.”

Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Ken Martin has admitted that the Democrats have now hit “rock bottom” following President Donald Trump’s re-election victory in November.

The DNC leader says the Democratic Party has “work to do” but believes that Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” will provide the ammunition they need to make a comeback.

Martin’s comments came in the wake of the party’s struggles after the 2024 elections, when they lost control of the White House, Senate, and failed to win back the House majority.

In a candid interview with Fox News, Martin acknowledged that the Democrats had lost ground with key parts of their coalition, including voters who had historically been a part of the Democratic Party’s base.

However, he remained optimistic about the party’s future, claiming that “when you hit rock bottom, there’s only one direction to go, and that’s up.”

The DNC chair pointed to the growing anger among the party’s base, energizing them to push back against Trump’s sweeping second-term domestic agenda.

He noted that this anger isn’t just directed at the GOP but at Democratic lawmakers who many in the party feel haven’t been aggressive enough in countering the president.

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is launching digital ads targeting a dozen Republican-held House districts, calling for the release of files related to financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

One ad features Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) calling the controversy a “serious issue” and saying that the highest volume of calls to her office have concerned the Epstein files, while another calls out the House GOP with the caption “House Republicans shut down Congress to bury the truth.”

A clip of President Trump standing next to Epstein plays in the background of the latter.

Both ads tell viewers to call their representatives and demand that the Epstein files are released.

Momentum had been building among Democrats and some Republicans for Congress to vote to force the Trump administration to release the documents related to the case. But House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) announced the body would start its summer recess a day early as Democrats sought to force votes in the Rules Committee to release the files, dividing Republicans.

Democrats have sought to use the lingering controversy as a way to go on offense against Trump and the Republican Party, accusing them of protecting pedophiles. The topic of the Epstein files has received significant national attention for a few weeks since the Justice Department memo stating the Epstein didn’t have a “client list,” as has been alleged, and that the department wouldn’t release additional documents to protect alleged victims.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced late Wednesday the formation of a Strike Force in response to new revelations about how former President Barack Obama and members of the intelligence community fabricated the Russia hoax that haunted President Donald Trump’s first term and cost American taxpayers millions of dollars.

Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a statement that the Strike Force will “assess the evidence” and “investigate potential next legal steps,” related to a damning 2020 report released this week by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard.

“There is irrefutable evidence that detail how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an Intelligence Community Assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard said during a White House press conference on Wednesday. “We have referred and will continue to refer all of these documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI, to investigate the criminal implications of this. … The evidence that we have found, and that we have released, directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment. There are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact.”

A federal Strike Force is made up of teams of investigators from multiple agencies working together to uncover complex cases of fraud and other offenses. Originally, Strike Forces were used to investigate webs of organized crime. For example, in the late 1960s, a Strike Force in Buffalo, New York, made up of attorneys and agents from several federal agencies achieved 30 indictments within the organized crime network, in part by learning about the organization’s leadership structure.
