As violent anti-ICE riots rage across Los Angeles, White House Border Czar Tom Homan joined Chris Cuomo on his show on NewsNation Monday night to set the record straight — and defend the Trump administration’s response to the escalating chaos. Homan, known for his no-nonsense approach to immigration enforcement, made it clear the riots aren’t about justice or civil rights. They’re about lawlessness, and President Trump is right to crack down.

Homan pushed back hard on media narratives suggesting the administration is threatening to arrest California Gov. Gavin Newsom. “No, this has been blown so far out of proportion,” Homan said. He explained the confusion began after an NBC reporter twisted his words. During a conversation about rioters interfering with ICE operations, Homan acknowledged that anyone who crosses the line into criminal conduct should be held accountable, including elected officials.

“There is no threat to arrest Governor Newsom,” Homan clarified, “but the statement was made just like anybody else — if he crosses that line of impeding ICE enforcement efforts… that’s a crime. We would ask the Attorney General to seek prosecution.”

The woke children of a high-ranking Los Angeles official have been busted for reportedly attacking a police officer during the ongoing violent demonstrations in the city.

As The New York Post reported, Rick Cole, the chief deputy controller of LA, revealed that his twin 26-year-old daughters, Lucia Aguilar and Antonia, were taken into custody by enforcement Sunday night during a rally outside a hotel in Pasadena, where he once served as mayor.

“I’ve just seen pictures of my two daughters on a curb in downtown Los Angeles in handcuffs. So I’m going to be figuring out where they are so I can go bail them out,” Cole told agitators.

“This (ICE raid) is personal for me and for my family,” Cole added. “It’s also personal for the Mayor (Victor Gordo). When he was growing up, he had a coffee can on the kitchen table with money—in case his dad did not come home from work.

“So, this is personal for Pasadena, because these are our neighbors. This is our family. These are the workers. These are Pasadenans. And we’re going to protect them.”

A prominent sheriff in California has accused the state’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom of playing a role in the violent riots that erupted across Los Angeles over the weekend.

As unrest exploded again in Los Angeles over the weekend in response to ICE enforcement operations, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released detailed information on more than a dozen violent illegal aliens apprehended in the city.

Those captured were criminals who federal officers say pose a direct threat to public safety.

According to DHS, ICE officers arrested hundreds of illegal immigrants, including many with serious felony convictions ranging from rape and second-degree murder to robbery, narcotics smuggling, and child trafficking.

The agency singled out 19 individuals arrested on June 7, underscoring the dangerous nature of those being shielded by local sanctuary city policies.

Unforgettable images from a Los Angeles riot hit us again last weekend. In 1992, it was “rooftop Koreans.” During the George Floyd riots of 2020, we saw high-end shops bracing for the worst — and then getting it. This weekend, we witnessed a masked rioter standing atop a burning Waymo automated taxi and waving the Mexican flag in defiance of… everything — decency, the law, even the nation he’d presumably entered illegally.

Authorities say that at least five Waymos were vandalized and set on fire, forcing the Alphabet-owned company to temporarily suspend ride-hailing service in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Waymo says there’s no evidence their cars were specifically targeted, but being able to summon one by app just to burn it? That’s not a bug, that’s a feature, at least to your average street radical.

Believe it or not, this is good news.

Lenin quipped that “the capitalists will sell us the rope we’ll hang them with.” When that didn’t work out as planned, Communist China figured that the smart move was to manufacture the rope themselves, undercut our rope producers, and hang us at their convenience.

In Los Angeles, a few lefties figured that automation would provide them with cars to set ablaze — and they were right.

President Donald Trump sent in the troops and Governor Gavin Newsom is upset, but Trump is allowed to do this because it’s an insurrection. Let us tell you why. Finally, Gavin Newsom is a piece of sh*t. You’ve known that for years. Today, we prove it.

What triggered the American Civil War were state officials who refused to honor federal law and instead boasted of their open defiance of Washington.

That precedent appears to be the incendiary model for the increasingly erratic behavior of California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

Has Newsom accepted the polls and decided to end his political career in a blaze of ideological glory?

He now backs the often-violent protesters in Los Angeles resisting federal enforcement of immigration laws. Newsom labeled President Trump’s use of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain those here illegally “reckless,” “chaotic,” and “eroding trust.”

Does he imagine that this rhetoric is calming the situation or building public trust? Or is he consciously following the model of Confederate President Jefferson Davis?

Border czar Tom Homan denied threatening to arrest Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) amid the Los Angeles riots, but stressed that “no one’s above the law” in preventing the deportation of illegal immigrants.

Newsom and President Donald Trump have been feuding online over the decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles, where Homan said things were “out of control” and the governor and Mayor Karen Bass did “nothing.” Newsom has since encouraged Homan to arrest him after the border czar warned that obstructing immigration enforcement would lead to an arrest of “anybody,” after which Trump revealed he would arrest the governor if he were Homan.

Following up on Newsom’s taunt, Homan said that protesters have “the right to protest,” but cannot impede law enforcement efforts and harbor illegal immigrants from deportation.

“And the question was, ‘Well, how about Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom, what if they cross the line?’ I said they’ll be prosecuted, too,” Homan said on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “Haven’t they said for the last four years no one’s above the law? They cross the line, we’ll seek prosecution. You and I would be held accountable. They prosecuted President Trump. No one’s above the law, that’s what they said, even Governor Newsom. If he crosses that line, we’ll ask the attorney general to seek prosecution. It wasn’t a threat. Nobody threatened to arrest him, but if he crosses that line and commits a crime, he’s no better than anybody else. We’ll seek prosecution.”

“You can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we’re coming after you.”

Federal authorities have identified a suspect in the violent anti-ICE protests in Southern California, where a federal officer was injured after rocks were hurled at law enforcement vehicles.

Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed the news during a Monday night appearance on Fox News’ Hannity, announcing that Elpidio Reyna has been named as the individual seen on video allegedly assaulting federal officers in Paramount, California. The incident occurred on Saturday around 3:30 pm on Alondra Boulevard, when rocks were thrown at law enforcement vehicles who were driving by, injuring at least one federal officer and damaging government property.

The FBI has launched a manhunt for a man authorities believe threw rocks at federal officers in Paramount, California, on Saturday, injuring one federal officer.

Riots broke out as agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement worked to detain illegal immigrants in the Los Angeles area. The unrest resulted in Marines being sent to LA to protect ICE agents and restore order.

“The FBI has identified the man #wanted for assaulting a federal officer this weekend as Elpidio Reyna, 40, of Compton, CA,” U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli posted on X Monday along with a mug shot of Reyna.

“He is considered a fugitive and we continue to seek his location. A #reward of up to $50K is being offered for information leading to his arrest/conviction,” he wrote.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shut down a Democratic senator on her hypocrisy related to the riots happening in Los Angeles, California.

While testifying before the Senate, Hegseth engaged in a fiery exchange with Sen. Betty McCollum (D-MN) over President Donald Trump’s decision to send National Guard troops and Marines to Los Angeles to help quell the anti-ICE riots that erupted over the weekend.

McCollum recalled being in Minneapolis during the George Floyd riots.

“Tens of thousands of protesters took to the streets for days. Governor Walz made the decision to call up the Minnesota National Guard. At no point did … the citizens of Minnesota request that the Marines be deployed,” she began. “Our state and local law enforcement, along with our National Guard, who have worked on crowd control, they were more than enough. They were more than capable of handling this situation.”

The lawmaker pointed out that these riots are not as severe as the George Floyd riots and the Rodney King riots that took place in 1992. “Mr. Secretary, this is a deeply unfair position to put our Marines in. Their service should be honored. It should not be exploited,” she argued.

A battalion of 700 active-duty U.S. Marines are being deployed to Los Angeles, the US military confirmed on Monday, to protect federal property and federal immigration agents from violent and organized anti-ICE agitators.

“Due to increased threats to federal law enforcement officers and federal buildings, approximately 700 active-duty U.S. Marines from Camp Pendleton are being deployed to Los Angeles to restore order,” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth posted on social media at 5:24 p.m. “We have an obligation to defend federal law enforcement officers – even if Gavin Newsom will not.”

Hundreds of anti-ICE agitators have taken to the streets in the past several days, where they have assaulted immigration officers, slashed tires, torched vehicles and and defaced public buildings. President Trump called in around 2,000 National Guard troops to LA on Sunday to quell the violence.

In the midst of the Los Angeles riots, Congressman Tony Gonzales (R-TX) proposes legislation to increase the criminal penalties associated with assaulting and interfering with the duties of law enforcement officers, including ICE agents or CBP officials. Gonzales announced the proposed legislation in a Sunday press release.

According to Gonzales, if enacted, the Curbing Offenses on Policing Services (COPS Act) would increase jail time and civil fines for assaulting a law enforcement officer or interfering with their official duties. The legislation also defines “explosive materials”, like fireworks or other combustible projectiles, as deadly weapons when deployed against law enforcement officers.

Gonzales intends the legislation to send a message to those who engage in assaulting or impeding ICE and CBP agents, as has been witnessed in Los Angeles over the weekend, saying, “The chaos unleashed by rioters in Los Angeles this weekend is anything but peaceful protest- it’s anarchy. Radical activists damaged Border Patrol and ICE vehicles while these agents were on duty, and as a result, injuries were reported.”

For the fourth consecutive day, protests against federal immigration enforcement have gripped Los Angeles, drawing thousands of rioters into the streets of downtown LA and Santa Ana. Demonstrations quickly descended into chaos Monday evening and police zip-tied rioters and carted them away on LAPD buses.

Rioters were given the option to disperse or face arrest after police declared an unlawful assembly. Those who did not leave were arrested. Riots and protests have been ongoing since Friday and 56 people were arrested over the weekend.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, LA Mayor Karen Bass and the entire extremist California progressive class have egg on their faces Monday evening as the Los Angeles anti-ICE protests were neutered by the president’s shaming of Golden State officials to take action, his decision to send in the National Guard and the Marines, and his refusal to tolerate violence.

Bass, Sen. Adam Schiff, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former vice president and failed presidential candidate Kamala Harris, and the whole Marxist gang decried Trump’s decisions—yet, as we’ve seen before, they had no interest in stopping the rampage and look pathetic now that the president is showing how things are actually done.

It’s similar to the border crisis: he shut down that garbage almost overnight. The commander-in-chief summed that up when addressing a joint session of Congress in March:

One of Trump’s standout lines during his speech was when he said, “It turned out that all we really needed was a new president” in response to how former President Joe Biden and Democrats complained they needed legislation to tackle soaring illegal immigration.

Last month, the Border Patrol recorded 8,450 migrants who crossed the southern border illegally – the lowest level in at least 25 years. For perspective, most months during the Biden administration had well over 100,000 border encounters.

It’s riot season again in America. Well, at least in the Democrat run cities, where progressive billionaires fund their progressive activism through progressive NGOs, knowing that a progressive media lacks any self-respect to report honestly. Out in real America (aka the suburbs), we kick back and enjoy the content. Like this Dallas video, where a cop tries to have a conversation with a masked protester. SPOILER: The protester is an imbecile.

Everyone has their favorite genre of content. Some people prefer the outrage over seeing foreign flags flying over a gathering meant to affect American policy. Others go with the looting, where city folks show how much they care about marginalized communities by stealing sneakers made by slave labor from those marginalized communities. We here at the Louder with Crowder Dot Com website? It’s all about what epic failures at life those cosplaying on the ground are.

Chester: As long as you feel ok with capitalism, racist, imperialist state.
Sarge: Do you even know what that means?

Most Americans approve of President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants and crack down on the violent protests that erupted in Los Angeles over the weekend in response to immigration raids. Doing what comes naturally, elected Democrats rallied in opposition to Trump’s popular agenda as hooligans threw bricks at police officers, ransacked local shops, set fire to cars, and spit on American flags (while waving Mexicans flags).

So much for the Democratic Party’s short-lived efforts to rebrand as a no-nonsense party capable of understanding the concerns of normal Americans.

As the chaos was enfolding on the streets of Los Angeles, Politico reported that the Democratic Party was in the midst of a “Great Un-Awokening.” Ambitious Democrats were “in the middle of a slow-motion Sista Souljah moment” aiming to “ratchet back a leftward lurch on social issues some in the party say cost them the November election.” As an example, Politico praised California governor Gavin Newsom for having “muted his tone on immigration issues,” noting that in addition to proposing “cuts” to a state program that gives free health care to illegal immigrants, Newsom had also stopped using the term “sanctuary” to describe state policies that prohibit local authorities from cooperating with federal immigration officers.

On Sunday during live coverage of the Los Angeles riots, local ABC affiliate KABC ran footage that did not match what the anchors were describing. Jory Rand went as far as to say the protestors were “having fun watching cars burn,” but would he feel that way if that was his car? Would this have been just another example of the liberal media distracting from the obvious facts?

Los Angeles took a beating earlier this year with the historic wildfires in January but has taken another pounding with the city’s breakout over ICE arrests and deportations. Again, the city and nation turn heads due to the lack of leadership and command to simply protect the people of Los Angeles, ranging from California Governor Gavin Newsom, down to Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass.

In a clip that will live infamy alongside this and this, from the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, Rand described the footage this way:

I don’t know if there’s any police activity pushing these folks this way, or perhaps just the smoke. It’s getting too hard to breathe. More explosions here from those cars. But we do have a decent sized crowd watching these cars continue to burn. Otherwise, as Tim said, things do look relatively peaceful at this hour. We saw the folks at Aliso and Alameda sitting down on the ground. We saw the folks at Temple and Alameda just kind of waiting it out. It’s broken down to just a couple dozen people at that location, and so things seem pretty-It’s hard to say that with three cars burning, but things do seem relatively calm minus these cars that have been set on fire.

As is the case with most pro-illegal immigration demonstrations, there are a lack of American flags flown. Odd, because you would think someone here illegally wouldn’t fly the flag of the country they are seeking “asylum” from, yet at the anti-ICE riots taking place in Los Angeles, that was the case. At least, until a handful of future Democrat staffers realized the optics problem and handed out American flags because they thought they could con people into thinking they were patriotic.

The goal is to avoid any more in-kind Republican campaign ads like this one.

This may surprise you, but the left aren’t sending their best and brightest. In Los Angeles, the worst and dimmest run rampant.

A handful of organizers, or at least one of the progressive NGOs funded by progressive billionaires, attempted to do something about it, as captured on the ground by Aldo Buttazzoni. They are giving out American flags. I think the goal is that when people see photos of them flying American flags, it will mask how much they hate America IRL.

They would have gotten away with it, too, had it not been for one thing that was overlooked…

They never told people that flying the American flag upside down was a bad thing.

The latest L.A. riots came after ICE began enforcing immigration law and rounding up illegals in downtown Los Angeles, and the New York Times is desperately trying to downplay the radical and violent nature of the so-called protests by calling them “largely peaceful” (i.e., somewhat violent, as a trove of photos from Los Angeles prove).

A representative piece is “What to Know About the Immigration Protests in Los Angeles,” with this subhead attached: “Demonstrations against the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration have been largely peaceful, but tensions flared after President Trump ordered National Guard troops to deploy to the city.”

The story is wrong right from the subhead. Riots were already ongoing, with stones hurled at cop cars, while the National Guard troops were sent to protect the Los Angeles Federal Building, which came under siege Friday by protesters.

The byline was shared by breaking news reporters Yan Zhuang, Anushka Patil, and Remy Tumin, who used that ridiculous phrase “largely peaceful” three more times in their actual report (was “mostly peaceful” still taken by CNN, after the last round of national rioting five years ago?).

That defensive description held even as the story documented many violent acts:

The protests have been largely peaceful but have flared up in pockets of downtown Los Angeles and in nearby suburbs, as well as in San Francisco.

Demonstrations on Sunday afternoon near a downtown detention center were largely peaceful, but some protesters fired fireworks at police officers under a bridge on the nearby U.S. 101 freeway. Several driverless Waymo cars were set on fire in downtown Los Angeles.

Mr. Trump described the largely peaceful demonstrators as “insurrectionist mobs” on social media on Sunday, and said Los Angeles had been “invaded and occupied.”

It was inevitable.  Two giants, two visionaries, two disruptors on a collision course — not because of ego, but because of proximity to power and the cost of truth.

The headlines want to sell it as a “bromance gone bad,” a testosterone-fueled spat between a tech billionaire and a president.  But that’s not what this is. The Trump-Musk fallout isn’t personal.  It’s a fracture in the alliance that helped launch one of the boldest assaults on federal corruption in modern history — and one we need to see healed, not widened.

Let’s talk facts.

After the assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, Elon Musk didn’t run.  He ran toward the fire.  He stood beside President Trump.  He donated over $300 million.  He helped build the campaign’s infrastructure and vision.  And after the victory, he joined forces with Trump to lead DOGE — the Department of Government Efficiency, a radical initiative tasked with exposing the entrenched rot in Washington’s books.

Together, they began pulling levers the bureaucracy never thought could be touched.

DOGE uncovered billions in fraudulent contracts, shell vendors, and “green” slush funds that had nothing to do with the environment.  DIE schemes, inflated payrolls, and cozy sweetheart deals — nothing was off-limits.  It wasn’t just reform.  It was an insurrection against federal waste.

“At this point, this has been very peaceful. It has been tense at some points, but we haven’t seen any violence happening here,” CNN correspondent Julia Vargas Jones said as the network showed rioters on motorbikes circling a car on fire in the middle of an intersection.

A similar video was shown on CNN as Rep. Nanette Barragán (D., Calif.) accused the Trump administration of “targeting peaceful protests.”

… Former vice president Kamala Harris accused the Trump administration of “stoking fear” and said the “demonstrations in defense of our immigrant neighbors have been overwhelmingly peaceful.”

“I continue to support the millions of Americans who are standing up to protect our most fundamental rights and freedoms,” she said in a statement.

Rep. Judy Chu (D., Calif.) also blamed Trump for the destruction, accusing him of creating a “manufactured crisis” by deploying the National Guard. As she argued on MSNBC that the Los Angeles Police Department had the situation under control, the network showed multiple large fires burning in the street. CNN anchor Dana Bash, meanwhile, suggested the disruption wasn’t “a real riot.”

“I just want to state for the record that what did happen in 1992 was so different from what we’re seeing now,” she said. “That was a real riot that went all across the city of Los Angeles after a verdict in the Rodney King case.”

A local ABC affiliate anchor, Marc Brown, described the rioters as “just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation and altercation between officers and demonstrators.” NBC News correspondent Steve Patterson called them “peaceful people that want to get their message across.”

Constitutional scholar Alan Dershowitz predicted on Monday that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s lawsuit against President Donald Trump over the Los Angeles riots will go down in flames, just like his city.

Gavin quickly sued Trump, accusing the president of “unlawfully” ordering soldiers under his control to put down the unrest.

“The Supreme Court will not second-guess the President of the United States on this issue,” Dershowitz said. “They will say, whether right or wrong, the president had the authority to make this decision and he had the authority to make it over the lack of consent of the governor,” Dershowitz explained.

“Let’s be clear, there was violence. You can see it on television; there were bombings, fire bombings, and burnings of Teslas and other self-driving cars. There were rocks being thrown at ICE officers. There were threats against ICE officers, threats against their families. Was it a full-blown insurrection? No.”

President Donald Trump is not backing off his battle with Elon Musk, saying Saturday that he has no desire to repair their relationship and warning that his former ally and campaign benefactor could face “serious consequences” if he tries to help Democrats in upcoming elections.

Trump told NBC’s Kristen Welker in a phone interview that he has no plans to make up with Musk. Asked specifically if he thought his relationship with the mega-billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX is over, Trump responded, “I would assume so, yeah.”

“I’m too busy doing other things,” Trump continued. “You know, I won an election in a landslide. I gave him a lot of breaks, long before this happened, I gave him breaks in my first administration, and saved his life in my first administration, I have no intention of speaking to him.”

The president also issued a warning amid chatter that Musk could back Democratic lawmakers and candidates in the 2026 midterm elections.

President Trump’s deployment of the National Guard and Marines to Los Angeles to stop rioting could last 60 days and is estimated to cost at least $134 million, the Pentagon revealed Tuesday — as House Democrats slammed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over his role in the mission.

Trump took control of California’s National Guard Saturday to deploy 4,100 of its members to halt violent protests against immigration enforcement raids. He also ordered 700 Marines to the area Monday to help provide security for federal buildings and officials.

Looting and clashes with police continued for a fourth straight night Monday in downtown Los Angeles.

“We stated very publicly that it’s 60 days because we want to ensure that those rioters, looters and thugs on the other side assaulting our police officers know that we’re not going anywhere,” Hegseth told Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.) during a House budget hearing Tuesday.

The military has activated about 700 active-duty Marines who could be sent to Los Angeles, joining National Guard troops who were sent to the city to respond to protests, the U.S. Northern Command said in a statement.

Members of the Marine Corps could start arriving in the Los Angeles area as soon as Tuesday, a defense official told CBS News. The Marines are based in Twentynine Palms, a city east of Los Angeles.

Northern Command said the Marines will “seamlessly integrate” with hundreds of members of the National Guard to protect “federal personnel and federal property.” They have been trained in “de-escalation, crowd control and standing rules for the use of force,” the military added.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said Monday that around 700 Marines “are being deployed to Los Angeles to restore order.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom suggested late Monday he could take legal action over the planned use of Marines, calling it illegal.
