Trump earlier in the day spoke by phone with Toqaev, who is in the United States to attend the UN General Assembly.

Trump is seeking to strengthen trade and investment ties with resource-rich Central Asia as he focuses on ending US dependence on China for critical minerals, including rare earths.

This innovative material, called cardboard-confined rammed earth, is composed entirely of cardboard, water and soil – making it reusable and recyclable.

In Australia alone, more than 2.2 million tons of cardboard and paper are sent to landfill each year. Meanwhile, cement and concrete production account for about 8% of annual global emissions.

Democrats are betting that Americans will blame President Donald Trump and Republicans. Although Republicans control both chambers of Congress, they still require bipartisanship to overcome the 60-vote Senate threshold to pass a short-term funding bill. Unless more funding is approved, the federal government will shut down on Oct. 1.

“They who run the Legislative Branch usually get blamed in the eyes of voters when something goes awry or there’s a shutdown of any kind,” said Jon Reinish, a Democratic strategist and former aide to Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), who now chairs Senate Democrats’ campaign arm.

“What matters is if there is a shutdown and all of a sudden your benefit checks stop coming,” Reinish added.

But there’s also a recent precedent suggesting that the party that supports extraneous policy riders is typically seen as responsible for shutdowns and emerges on the losing political end without significant wins. Republicans were bruised from the longest shutdown in U.S. history, which occurred in Trump’s first term and lasted 35 days, after the president failed to get any additional money to construct more of the U.S.-Mexico border wall in 2018 when Republicans controlled Congress.

Leftist “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel received some delicious karmic payback when Sinclair Broadcast Group revealed it will not air “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on its ABC affiliate stations despite Disney’s move to bring the late-night talk show back on air following his recent suspension.

Kimmel’s show was suspended on Wednesday — two days after he falsely claimed that a Trump supporter had assassinated Charlie Kirk and that conservatives were exploiting the murder to score political points.

“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said flippantly on Sept. 15.

After pushing the defamatory propaganda, Kimmel’s show was pulled off the air indefinitely.

On Monday, ABC announced the show would return on Tuesday.

“It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive,” the liberal network said in a statement.

“We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

It’s unclear what commentators on the left think they achieve by labeling conservatives as Nazis, the president as Hitler, or ICE agents as kidnappers. What is clear is that such rhetoric does nothing to promote public safety. In fact, it has fueled escalating threats against those the left considers politically incorrect. That is why Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli’s remarks were both timely and necessary.

According to Essayli, the left “lays out the gasoline and the matches, getting people riled up in the hope that someone will do what they want—burn the place down.”

The ironic part? The left has, in fact, burned the place down when it doesn’t get its way. Actions speak louder than words, and in this case, both their words and actions speak volumes.

According to ICE, assaults on federal officers have surged by nearly 1,000 percent. This spike can be traced directly to the left’s rhetoric.

How does the left expect people to react when they convince some voters that ICE is racially profiling and “kidnapping” people off the street? As Essayli noted, things have gotten so bad that receiving threats has become just another part of the job. In other words, just another Monday.

The consignments consist of unmarked Kalashnikovs, newer assault and sniper systems, and ammunition manufactured between 2010 and 2020. The illicit cargo enters Italy through Sicilian ports – including in Catania – and via border crossings in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The investigation into the Russian arms smuggling was carried out by the Italian online newspaper Linkiesta. Russia‘s so-called shadow fleet has helped to transport the munitions to Italian ports.

The weapons are broken down and hidden in barrels of oil, fuel or lubricants to avoid inspections and preserve the arms from corrosion. Their onward distribution mirrors established narcotic routes.

Catania appears to have become one of the main centres of the trade.

Now that Charlie Kirk has been laid to rest, it’s back to work for Turning Point USA. Their first event was at the University of Minnesota, starring Michael Knowles. Yes, in Minneapolis. Yes, in Ilhan Omar’s district, in Tampon Tim Walz’s state. It appears they beat out Berkley, CA, and Park Slope, NY to host the first TPUSA return event.

As we’ve come to expect whenever someone right-of-center stands on stage at a college campus and answers questions from students, the entire idea is threatening and makes people feel unsafe. Although I must admit, for the first TPUSA event back, I was expecting a little more energy from the haters.

Maybe they sent the A-team to the local ABC affiliate to protest Jimmy Kimmel’s extended weekend off. Leaving only the B-team to protest Knowles.

Regardless, the frat bros were activated.

If it happened in North Korea it would hardly be newsworthy. But this story takes place south of the 38th parallel.

Since 1993 Pastor Son has preached at Segero Church in Busan, South Korea.

“When my father started serving at Segero Church, there were only around 20 people. And now, weekly, there are over 4,000 people,” Chance Son told The Western Journal in a phone interview.

Pastor Son’s faith in God and his charismatic leadership drove his success as a pastor.

Those same qualities, however, also made him a threat to South Korea’s Democratic Party.

His persecution began during the COVID lockdowns in December 2020.

Only 20 members could gather at a church, no matter the congregation size, Son said.

“My father’s church is built to have 6,000 people. However, allowing just five people or 20 people, however the government wants — he rejected,” Son said.

On September 10, 2025, the conservative world was rocked by the assassination of Charlie Kirk, co-founder and CEO of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) , during an event on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck by a sniper from a nearby rooftop in what Governor Spencer Cox described as a «political assassination» targeting his ideological expression.

At 18, along with Bill Montgomery, a Tea Party activist, Kirk founded the organization to counter «leftist indoctrination» on college campuses.

For too long, Christians have sold and bought the lie that loving God and loving your neighbor means embracing ill-named political centrism, caving in the culture war, and quietly refusing opportunities to obey the Great Commission. Last week, the propaganda press assured us that self-described comedian Jimmy Kimmel was pulled off air because President Donald Trump was an authoritarian, a fascist, or tyrannical. It didn’t matter that Disney executives themselves said Kimmel was yanked because he planned to double down on false and inflammatory commentary. No, what mattered to the propaganda press was spinning the story to malign Trump.

Of course the narrative collapsed Monday when Disney announced it would bring Kimmel back on air days after he falsely stated that Charlie Kirk’s alleged assassin was “MAGA.”

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” Disney said Monday afternoon in a statement. “It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

Disney itself admitted once again that pulling Kimmel off air was merely a business decision — exactly what was reported at least four days ago. It wasn’t Trump or the FCC — if it was, Disney would not be reinstating Kimmel. But that’s not what the propaganda press told us. Instead, they deliberately misled Americans so that they could distract from their own culpability in creating a hostile environment that led to Kirk’s assassination by painting Trump as the real problem and Kimmel as the real victim.

One of the hard realities of life is making mistakes, of believing things in youth, naivety, or perhaps even optimism that are eventually proven wrong by persevering through new experiences. Having served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, I found former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s partisan assertion that there was an infestation of extremism loose in the U.S. military fictional and insulting. But I have now seen it with my own eyes. It’s time for a mea culpa.

I awoke on Thursday, September 11th, with the kind of sadness for our country that, compared to what I felt on September 12, 2001, the morning after the twin towers fell in New York.

“Did it really happen?” I asked myself as a college student, hoping it was all a terrible nightmare. Back in the present, I looked at my phone to see a message from a colleague.
