Want another reason that Trump 2.0 is the best thing to happen to the U.S. in decades? Check out the latest Biden abomination he nuked.

Back in 2023, when the left was racing to protect kiddy porn in school libraries and keep these books on the shelves, Biden set up the office of “book ban coordinator” and installed Matt Nosanchuk, a radical, leftist, gay activist, loon to run it.

But last Friday, the newly ensconced Trump administration fired Nosanchuk and ended his dangerous, porn-pushing department.

Per the Department of Education:

U.S. Department of Education Ends Biden’s Book Ban Hoax

The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) today announced that it has dismissed 11 complaints related to so-called “book bans.” The complaints alleged that local school districts’ removal of age-inappropriate, sexually explicit, or obscene materials from their school libraries created a hostile environment for students – a meritless claim premised upon a dubious legal theory. Effective Jan. 24, 2025, OCR has rescinded all department guidance issued under the theory that a school district’s removal of age-inappropriate books from its libraries may violate civil rights laws. OCR is also dismissing six additional pending allegations of book banning and will no longer employ a “book ban coordinator” to investigate local school districts and parents working to protect students from obscene content.

“By dismissing these complaints and eliminating the position and authorities of a so-called ‘book ban coordinator,’ the department is beginning the process of restoring the fundamental rights of parents to direct their children’s education,” said Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor. “The department adheres to the deeply rooted American principle that local control over public education best allows parents and teachers alike to assess the educational needs of their children and communities. Parents and school boards have broad discretion to fulfill that important responsibility. These decisions will no longer be second-guessed by the Office for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Education.”

The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to tackle several big cases this term.

It comes as President Donald Trump begins the work to rebuild America to the level of greatness it experienced under his first term in office.

According to the Associated Press, the high court will soon weigh approval for the nation’s first publicly funded religious private school, which would be constructed in Oklahoma.

The Supreme Court agreed to take the case after an “Oklahoma Supreme Court decision that invalidated a state board’s approval of an application by the Catholic Church in Oklahoma to open a charter school,” the AP noted.

The fact that the Supreme Court agreed to take the case is good news for those in favor of the school.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation hearing approaches this week– www.boston.com

WASHINGTON (AP) — Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has said vaccines are not safe. His support for abortion access has made conservatives uncomfortable. And farmers across the Midwest are nervous over his talk of banning corn syrup and pesticides from America’s food supply.

The 71-year-old, whose famous name and family tragedies have put him in the national spotlight since he was a child, has spent years airing his populist — and sometimes extreme — views in podcasts, TV interviews and speeches building his own quixotic brand.

A son of a Democratic political dynasty, Kennedy is seeking to become the nation’s top health official under President Donald Trump. To get there, he’s softening those long-held beliefs, hoping to win approval from the Republican Party.

At stake is Kennedy’s control of the nation’s sprawling $1.7 trillion U.S. Health and Human Services agency, which oversees food and hospital inspections, health insurance for roughly half of the country and vaccine recommendations. The job would finally give him the kind of political power Kennedys have wielded for decades.

As Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s confirmation hearing approaches, more than 80 organizations have voiced opposition to his nomination to head Health and Human Services (HHS)— groups like the NAACP, the National Organization for Women, Indivisible, and Advocates for Trans Equality.

Standing out like a sore thumb among the dozens of left-of-center groups hoping to derail Kennedy’s confirmation is a conservative advocacy group founded by former Vice President Mike Pence.

Pence’s group, Advancing American Freedom (AAF), was founded in April 2021, and advocates for “conservative values and policy proposals.” The group’s opposition to RFK Jr.’s nomination is  reportedly driven by his vaccine views, his alleged “checkered past,” and his libertarian views on drug legalization and abortion.

The environmental lawyer and vaccine safety activist ran for president in 2023/2024, first as a Democrat, then as an Independent, but eventually suspended his campaign when his presidential bid failed to gain traction. On August 23, 2024, Kennedy announced he and his V.P. pick Nicole Shanahan would back the Trump Campaign, unifying on key issues like the Ukraine war, chronic disease epidemic,  free speech, and removing corporate influence out of government.

PANAMA – The Panama Canal, one of the world’s most important trade routes, has become a hot discussion item thanks to President Donald Trump. Much of that has to do with China’s growing influence in the region, and he’s making waves about America taking it back.

In his inaugural address, President Trump accused Panama of not honoring its agreements with the U.S.

“Panama’s promise to us has been broken,” he said. “The purpose of our deal and the spirit of our treaty has been totally violated. American ships are being severely overcharged and not treated fairly in any way, shape, or form. And that includes the United States Navy. And above all, China is operating the Panama Canal. And we didn’t give it to China. We gave it to Panama, and we’re taking it back.”

The U.S. helped to engineer and build the 50-mile waterway from 1904 to 1914. Then the U.S. controlled it from its opening in 1914 until 1979.

Colombian political leaders are calling for the impeachment of President Gustavo Petro, citing his recent public feud with President Donald Trump as a source of national embarrassment. Critics argue that Petro’s short-lived “trade war” with Trump damaged Colombia’s international reputation, particularly in its relations with the United States. The controversy stemmed from Petro refusing deportation flights from the U.S., which resulted in Trump threatening the nation with harsh tariffs. Petro then tried to turn the table on Trump and threaten him with a 50 percent tariff on U.S. goods.

U.S. public health officials have been told to stop working with the World Health Organization, effective immediately.

A U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention official, John Nkengasong, sent a memo to senior leaders at the agency on Sunday night telling them that all agency staff who work with the WHO must immediately stop their collaborations and “await further guidance.”

Experts said the sudden stoppage was a surprise and would set back work on investigating and trying to stop outbreaks of Marburg virus and mpox in Africa, as well as brewing threats from around the world. It also comes as health authorities around the world are monitoring bird flu outbreaks among U.S. livestock.

The Associated Press viewed a copy of Nkengasong’s memo, which said the stop-work policy applied to “all CDC staff engaging with WHO through technical working groups, coordinating centers, advisory boards, cooperative agreements or other means — in person or virtual.” It also says CDC staff are not allowed to visit WHO offices.

Google has announced that it’s renaming some iconic locations on Google Maps following directives from the Trump-led US government.

As part of the changes, “Gulf of Mexico” will now be called “Gulf of America” on Google Maps for US users. Outside of the two countries, Google Maps users will see both names on the service.

Google Maps will also rename the famous Alaskan mountain, “Denali,” to “Mount McKinley,” after President William McKinley, the 25th President of the United States.

President Trump announced the firing of over a thousand appointees from the Biden administration.

“Our first day in the White House is not over yet! My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump said.

“Let this serve as Official Notice of Dismissal for these 4 individuals, with many more, coming soon: Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council—YOU’RE FIRED!” he added.

From the New York Post:

Meanwhile, the 47th president also culled former diplomat Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars and former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council in his late night purge.

Separately, Trump also ordered federal workers to return to the office five days a week and weakened job protections for civil servants on Monday — the first salvoes in his campaign to gut the federal bureaucracy.

Trump’s allies have said the return-to-work mandate and the stripping of civil service protections – widely known as “Schedule F” – is intended to help the president replace long-serving government workers with loyalists.

Among President Donald Trump’s first executive orders issued on Monday was one directing that a plan be implemented to deliver more water from northern California to the central and southern parts of the state.

He argued lack of water was a reason the California wildfires did such damage.

Trump recounted in his Jan. 20 order — titled “Putting People over Fish: Stopping Radical Environmentalism to Provide Water to Southern California” and directed to the Secretaries of Commerce and the Interior Departments — “During my first term, the State of California, at the direction of its Governor [Gavin Newsom], filed a lawsuit to stop my Administration from implementing improvements to California’s water infrastructure. My Administration’s plan would have allowed enormous amounts of water to flow from the snow melt and rainwater in rivers in Northern California to beneficial use in the Central Valley and Southern California.”

“This catastrophic halt was allegedly in protection of the Delta smelt and other species of fish. Today, this enormous water supply flows wastefully into the Pacific Ocean,” he added.

Scientists identify neurons in mice that, once activated, can change body’s metabolic rate, induce hibernation-like state– www.sciencedaily.com

A team led by researchers at Georgia State University has identified a novel group of neurons controlling the brain-heart-gut axis which can be activated to induce a hypometabolic state that resembles hibernation. The discovery could have wide-ranging impacts for scientific fields ranging from obesity to cardiometabolic health, and even space travel.

The new study is published in the journal Nature Metabolism.

Lead author Eric Krause is a professor of neuroscience, a Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Distinguished Investigator at Georgia State University and a core member of the Center for Neuroinflammation and Cardiometabolic Disease (CNCD). Krause worked with researchers from the University of Florida and the Monell Chemical Senses Center in Philadelphia.

“We identified this population of neurons located near the base of the skull that relay the sensation of mechanical stretch exerted on the gut and heart to the brain. When these neurons are activated, they seem to recreate the sensation of feeling full or having increased blood pressure,” Krause said. “We found that activating these neurons suppresses eating and lowers blood pressure, heart rate and whole-body metabolism.”

During the research, the team discovered that simultaneous, recurrent firing of these neurons in mice produces a torpor-like state, similar to that of animals in hibernation, characterized by reductions in cardiac output, body temperature and energy expenditure.

“We found that repeated excitation of the neurons decreased body mass and produced a hypometabolic state without inducing anxiety-like behaviors that are often observed with chronic stress,” Krause said. “This is changing what we know about body-to-brain communication and how profoundly it affects physiology and behavior.”

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Facebook, is accusing the U.S. Supreme Court of ignoring clear evidence the Federal government was directly censoring Americans through social media platforms like Facebook. Zuckerberg told podcaster and MMA fight analyst Joe Rogan “I don’t think that the pushing for social media companies to censor stuff was legal.”

The Supreme Court had an opportunity to do its constitutional duty in the Murthy v. Missouri case but punted its responsibility. Now, President Donald J Trump has ended the threat to the American republic from within its own institutions in the guise of “protecting” Americans from “misinformation” through his executive order ending all government censorship media programs.

Following Mark Zuckerberg’s putative mea culpa for having made Meta complicit in the largest censorship regime in American history, and his vow to restore free expression on his platforms, the CEO made perhaps his most consequential statement of all in an interview with Joe Rogan.

There, after describing the pressure campaign the Biden administration waged against his company to suppress disfavored speech, primarily regarding Covid-19, Zuckerberg told Rogan: “I don’t think that the pushing for social media companies to censor stuff was legal.”

The Meta CEO’s silence as this very issue was being litigated all the way up to the Supreme Court was as deafening then as it is maddening now. But in making this assertion, he has inadvertently highlighted one of the Roberts Court’s gravest derelictions of duty — one that emphasizes the necessity of vigorous executive and legislative actions in defense of our rights, actions like those promised by the Trump administration and some in Congress.

The dereliction of duty came in the Supreme Court’s punting of the case of Murthy v. Missouri, previously known as Missouri v. Biden.

President Donald Trump announced America’s withdrawal from the scandal-plagued World Health Organization late in his first term, citing the organization’s poor response to COVID-19, its apparent
willingness to help the communist Chinese regime cover up the spread of the virus, and its refusal to adopt urgently needed reforms.

The withdrawal was
set to go into effect on July 6, 2021, but former President Joe Biden swooped in to keep America’s membership in the globalist outfit up to date.

Biden is gone, and Trump’s withdrawal plan is back.
