More than four dozen Marines refused to abandon their post as hundreds of protesters in front of the federal building in downtown Los Angles chanted in unison for them to go home.

The soldiers bad been dispatched early in the week by President Donald Trump along with the National Guard to help quell violent riots that broke out last week over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations to arrest and deport criminal illegal aliens in the city.

According to reporting by Reuters, Los Angeles attorney Jesus Arias spearheaded Sunday’s confrontation, wielding a bullhorn as he tried to convince the Marines to leave.

“We are not your enemy, we are the people!” Arias shouted through the bullhorn. “You are breaking the oaths you took to be Marines. Wake up! Wake up!”

The large crowd protesters nearby were not so polite. Fifteen feet away from the Marines a crowd chanted, “Marines go home!” and “Shame! Shame!”

The feds hit Minnesota assassin Vance Boelter with new charges after he was captured late Sunday evening.

Boelter, 57, shot and killed Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband early Saturday morning.

Boelter also shot and wounded Democrat State Senator John Hoffman and his wife.

“John is enduring many surgeries right now and is closer every hour to being out of the woods. He took 9 bullet hits. I took 8 and we are both incredibly lucky to be alive,” John Hoffman’s wife Yvette Hoffman said on Sunday. “We are gutted and devastated by the loss of Melissa and Mark. We have no words. There is never a place for this kind of political hate. Thank you for your friendship always. Minnesotans are at our very best when we stand together.”

Randi Weingarten, longtime president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), resigned from her post within the Democratic National Committee (DNC) on Sunday.

In a letter to DNC Chair Ken Martin obtained by Axios, Weingarten declined his offer to continue serving as an at-large member — a position she had held since 2002 — citing ideological divergence with the current direction of the party. “I appear to be out of step with the leadership you are forging,” Weingarten wrote. “I do not want to be the one who keeps questioning why we are not enlarging our tent and actively trying to engage more and more of our communities.”

Her decision follows her public support for Ben Wikler, who unsuccessfully challenged Martin in a contentious DNC leadership election earlier this year. Following that endorsement, Weingarten was removed from the party’s influential Rules and Bylaws Committee.

Weingarten’s departure also comes just days after DNC Vice Chair David Hogg stepped down, criticizing the party’s resistance to generational change. Weingarten had supported Hogg’s plan to launch a political organization aimed at primarying incumbent Democratic lawmakers.

President Trump said Sunday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) must expand efforts in America’s largest cities to detain and deport illegal aliens, focusing on sanctuary cities.

“Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People,” Trump said on Truth Social.

“In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens,” he added.

Our Nation’s ICE Officers have shown incredible strength, determination, and courage as they facilitate a very important mission, the largest Mass Deportation Operation of Illegal Aliens in History. Every day, the Brave Men and Women of ICE are subjected to violence, harassment, and even threats from Radical Democrat Politicians, but nothing will stop us from executing our mission, and fulfilling our Mandate to the American People. ICE Officers are herewith ordered, by notice of this TRUTH, to do all in their power to achieve the very important goal of delivering the single largest Mass Deportation Program in History.

In order to achieve this, we must expand efforts to detain and deport Illegal Aliens in America’s largest Cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside. These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State, robbing good paying Jobs and Benefits from Hardworking American Citizens. These Radical Left Democrats are sick of mind, hate our Country, and actually want to destroy our Inner Cities — And they are doing a good job of it! There is something wrong with them. That is why they believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everybody, and Men playing in Women’s Sports — And that is why I want ICE, Border Patrol, and our Great and Patriotic Law Enforcement Officers, to FOCUS on our crime ridden and deadly Inner Cities, and those places where Sanctuary Cities play such a big role. You don’t hear about Sanctuary Cities in our Heartland!

I want our Brave ICE Officers to know that REAL Americans are cheering you on every day. The American People want our Cities, Schools, and Communities to be SAFE and FREE from Illegal Alien Crime, Conflict, and Chaos. That’s why I have directed my entire Administration to put every resource possible behind this effort, and reverse the tide of Mass Destruction Migration that has turned once Idyllic Towns into scenes of Third World Dystopia. Our Federal Government will continue to be focused on the REMIGRATION of Aliens to the places from where they came, and preventing the admission of ANYONE who undermines the domestic tranquility of the United States.

To ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, the Patriots at Pentagon and the State Department, you have my unwavering support. Now go, GET THE JOB DONE! DJT

As White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted, over 300 illegal aliens have been arrested in LA since the violent anti-ICE riots began on June 6. Over 100 of these illegal alien criminals had a rap sheet.

While Trump and his administration continue to receive backlash for bringing in troops to handle the rioters and illegal aliens, it appears Democrats have forgotten that another leader called in the National Guard to deal with illegal aliens in recent years. When this occurred, there was no outrage.

A report from the New York Post published in September of 2022 claims that then-Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker (R) activated the National Guard to deal with the “humanitarian crisis” that occurred when 50 illegal aliens were flown to Martha’s Vineyard by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

The residents of Martha’s Vineyard flew off the handle about this. In a short amount of time, the illegal aliens were sent to Cape Cod.

…Such a moment happened with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) when she uttered the now-immortal words: “Don’t believe what you see.” She meant it. And it tells you everything you need to know about the mind of the modern social justice politician.

Let’s set the scene. Fires rage across Los Angeles. A man stands triumphantly on a car, waving a Mexican flag, while other cars burn around him. The air is thick with smoke and shattered glass. You don’t need a Ph.D. in criminal justice to conclude that this isn’t a peaceful gathering of concerned citizens asking to debate policy.

And yet, speaking in the midst of smoldering chaos, Waters and her fellow Democrat officials — Governor Gavin Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass — chant the same refrain: There’s nothing to see here.

Waters, attempting to rewrite reality in real time, gave us this gem:

Even those who were out of step with what we are advocating — peaceful protest — did not create any violence. Nobody was shot. Nobody was killed. … I was on the street, I know … talking to people about what happened. … Don’t just rely on what you’ve been told or the few incidents that you saw.

A survivor of Saturday’s deadly attacks on two Minnesota lawmakers says she and her husband are both “incredibly lucky to be alive” after they were hit by 17 bullets.

State Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, were gunned down at their home early on Saturday morning, but lived. Melissa Hortman – the top Democratic legislator in the state House – and her husband, Mark, were shot and killed.

Yvette Hoffman said in a statement that she and her husband John were “devastated” by the Hortmans’ deaths.

Police are hunting for the suspect, Vance Luther Boelter, who wore a latex mask and posed as an officer to shoot the victims at their homes in suburban Minneapolis, before escaping on foot.

Mrs Hoffman’s statement was shared on Instagram by Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.

“John is enduring many surgeries right now and is closer every hour to being out of the woods,” Mrs Hoffman wrote.

“He took 9 bullet hits. I took 8 and we are both incredibly lucky to be alive.

An innocent bystander who was shot during a “No Kings” protest in Utah has died, police said Sunday.

The victim, identified as Arthur Folasa Ah Loo, was shot during the Saturday protest, which attracted around 10,000 people, and died later that night, Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian Redd said.

“Our victim was not the intended target,” said Redd, who added that Ah Loo, 39, was just participating in the march.

Redd said Ah Loo was mistakenly shot by one of two event peacekeepers in neon vests who opened fire after a suspect, identified as Arturo Gamboa, 24, ran toward the crowd with a rifle.

They saw Gamboa pull out a rifle before raising it in a firing position before moving toward a crowd of protesters, Redd said. One of the men in the vests fired three times, striking Gamboa and the victim, who later died.

Two immigrants who escaped the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark, New Jersey, were recaptured by authorities Friday.

Last week, unrest at the immigration detention center resulted in four detainees escaping. Authorities with the FBI did not publicize the renewed detention of the two recaptured immigrants until Sunday. It also remains to be seen how they were captured. The final two remain at large as of Monday morning.

Detainees were protesting the center’s conditions because they were reportedly denied food. While the immigrants inside the center demonstrated by pushing over a wall and hanging bed sheets, protesters were outside the facility and prevented a facility vehicle from following the detainees as they escaped.

The two who were recaptured were Joel Enrique Sandoval-Lopez from Honduras and Joan Sebastian Castaneda-Lozada from Colombia. Sandoval-Lopez is facing charges of unlawful possession of a handgun and aggravated assault from two separate instances. Castaneda-Lozada has charges of burglary, theft, and conspiracy against him.

Franklin Norberto Bautista-Reyes from Honduras and Andres Felipe Pineda Mogollon from Colombia have not been found. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to their capture. Bautista-Reyes is charged with aggravated assault, attempt to cause bodily injury, terroristic threats, and a weapons crime. Pineda Mogollon is facing charges of minor larceny and burglary.

Brian Gavidia had stepped out from working on a car at a tow yard in a Los Angeles suburb Thursday, when armed, masked men — wearing vests with “Border Patrol” on them — pushed him up against a metal gate and demanded to know where he was born.

“I’m American, bro!” 29-year-old Gavidia pleaded, in video taken by a friend.

“What hospital were you born?” the agent barked.

“I don’t know, dawg!” he said. “East L.A., bro! I can show you: I have my f—ing Real ID.”

His friend, whom Gavidia did not name, narrated the video: “These guys, literally based off of skin color! My homie was born here!” The friend said Gavidia was being questioned “just because of the way he looks.”
